On Today's Episode: The spies all make a break for Venice Beach in order to stop whatever Scam has planned, but when they get there, Scam also has a brainwashed Darien by his side, who's shouting nonsense about Sam, Britney and Melissa and is determined to "end their mesmerizing ways", whatever that means. Can the spies deal with both the mind-controlled Darien as well as the machinations of Scam, and what else could he be planning?
Act 2: An Unrequited Mess
4:31 P.M. – Beverly Hills
Venice Beach
"All right, where is that jerk-o?" Alex quipped as the spies made it to Venice Beach, only to see no sign of Scam anywhere.
"He didn't dip out on us, did he?" Melissa groaned.
"No, he's here," Nick answered. "He's not exactly trying to be subtle."
Nick aimed his hand towards the area where he sensed Scam's thoughts. "All right, you, come out of hiding, because we aren't in the mood," Nick taunted.
Sure enough, Scam made his appearance, looking as smug and confident as ever.
"Wanna explain what's with the stupid grin before we slap it off of your face?" Mat proclaimed.
"I don't know how many times we have to brick it into your stubborn skull, Scam, but there's ABSOLUTELY no room in my future for a sleazeball like you," Sam growled, hoping to finally get her point across. "Just accept it already!"
"I think you'll change your mind soon enough," Scam laughed. "Especially when you consider what I've got up my sleeves this time."
"Dare I ask?" May groaned, summoning her anchor to her hands.
"Oh, you'll see," Scam quipped. "I don't want to spoil the surprise, after all."
And with that, Scam made his escape.
"Oh, no you don't!" Sortiliena shouted. "You're not getting away from us!"
Sortiliena moved to charge after Scam, only for someone else to come flying in and block her kick.
"All right, who's the wise guy now?!" Haruka exclaimed.
"...oh, no freakin' way," Melissa gasped when she saw who it was.
It was Darien, wearing a futuristic-looking helmet and advancing threateningly on the spies.
"I should have known that you're trying to take away everyone's chances at love, Sam," Darien proclaimed. "Well, I'm here to stop you! You won't keep Melissa from me as long as I have something to say about it!"
"Excuse me?!" Sam shouted indignantly. "Where is this crap coming from?!"
"It's gotta be the helmet," Bridget noted as she transformed into Sonic Mode. "That must have been the surprise Scam was talking about."
"Now, Melissa, you're going to see that you belong to me and nobody else!" Darien shouted as he barreled head-long for Melissa, only to run smack into a psychic barrier that Nick had projected in front of Melissa and stumble back.
"Hands off of my sister, buddy," Nick retorted, his psychic aura flaring to life around him. "I don't care if you're brainwashed or not, nobody plays grabby with my sister and lives to brag about it."
"Truer words, buddy," Sortiliena chuckled. "Now let's knock some sense into this guy!"
"My sentiments exactly," Melissa remarked. "Darien just didn't work for me as a future boyfriend... not like how Mat is!"
Darien did not like hearing that.
"Brainwashed or not, I knew it wouldn't work!" Melissa proclaimed.
"We'd go into more details if we had the time," Dawn told the others.
With that, Darien began charging for the spies. Thinking this battle would be no different, Nick fired multiple psychic shots at Darien, but unfortunately, they either ricocheted or did little to no damage to him at all.
"What the heck?!" Nick chastised.
"We better be on alert, then," Haruka quipped. "Scam did his homework for sure!"
"No doubt he did," Sortiliena remarked.
"No matter what he does, we've got him covered..." Alex added.
"And we'll prove he's gotten faulty information, too!" Clover growled.
"Just because I'm a brainiac doesn't mean I rake in guys by the dozen..." Sam boldly stated to Darien.
"Don't even give me that spoon-fed nonsense!" Darien exclaimed as he jumped towards Sam to try and kick her down, only for Sam to easily dodge each wild kick. "I mean, look at you! What does this entire group have to say, with three boys in it?!"
"Oh, you did not just play that card," Nick growled as he projected a psychic barrier to shield Sam from a jumping overhead kick by Darien, before blasting him down with a Final Shine Attack, glad to see that this attack actually worked.
"Darien, I don't need three guesses to figure out that Tim Scam got to you," May remarked. "And everything Scam told you is completely FALSE!"
"Forgive me if I do not believe that..." Darien remarked.
"Talk about irrational!" Blaine chastised.
"I concur," Bridget replied. "Sonic Mode, online!"
She then sped around in a circle to trip up Darien, knowing his hand-eye coordination was nowhere close to hers.
"You couldn't have made this anymore easier, Bridget," Haruka remarked.
"Try me!" Darien growled.
"Don't mind if I do," Haruka chuckled as she took a step back before charging forward, leaping over Bridget while she was running to pounce on Darien.
However, Darien found a way to dodge that attack.
"Bridget, try get him to fall in the water!" Clover shouted.
Bridget listened and widened the circle she'd been running in, but Darien responded back in his own way by leaping over the circle.
"Plan B, anybody?" Mat wondered.
"Luckily, I just thought of that," Nick remarked. "Alex? May? Haruka?"
"We're on it!" Alex chuckled.
"Like I'm going to let you stop me, you little lecher!" Darien exclaimed as he rushed straight towards Nick.
"Okay, you definitely shouldn't have gone there," May growled as she swung her anchor and sent Darien tumbling, noticing that this particular blow hadn't been cushioned.
Nick dashed forward with Haruka by his side as Darien picked himself up, both of them moving to opposite sides before punching him at the same time. Noting that these hits seemed to work fine, Nick and Haruka continued attacking, landing four hits from either side in perfect sync with each other before snap-kicking Darien into the air.
For the finale, Nick and Haruka leaped into the air after Darien before coming down with a double kick to the chest. Before Darien could hit the ground, Alex rushed in and headbutted him in the chest, causing him to go flopping back.
Bridget skidded to a stop and snapped her fingers, unleashing her gathered kinetic energy as a shockwave of emerald electricity that sent Darien tumbling backwards.
Having just about enough of this, Darien got out of the jam again and retreated for the time being.
"After him!" Sam exclaimed.
"At least we know he's not acting like himself," Dawn quipped. "Even at his most paramour-ish, Darien would never have said stuff like that."
"And that's probably what Scam's trying to do," Sam responded. "He's using Darien to try and drive us all apart so Scam can take me as his 'queen'."
"Is it me, or does Scam keep reaching even lower lows with every new scheme he attempts?" Haruka noted. "I mean, last time alone he had that whole 'rocket into outer space' shtick."
"I swear, he needs to find a different hobby, because this is getting really old by this point," Mat quipped.
"Not to cut in on the fun discussion, but we should probably head off after him and Darien," Britney stated.
"I've got you all covered on that front," RiCO proclaimed from Nick's X-Powder, which was now displaying a map of where Scam had retreated to. "He's settled down somewhere in the Sunset Strip, no doubt holed up in his secret lair."
"Then that's where we're headed," Melissa responded.
"Oh, by the way, I did a scan on that helmet that Darien was wearing while you were fighting him," iCO cut in. "According to what I could read, that helmet is projecting some kind of invisible energy field that absorbs the impact of energy attacks like Nick's psychic powers. But it only seems to do so with energy."
"Which would explain why things seemed to work all right when we started getting physical," May noted.
"And that probably means that my old standby of hitting him with a psychic pulse isn't gonna check out this time," Nick groaned.
"Ah, that brings back memories," Mat chuckled, remembering when Terrence had done something similar to Dean so long ago.
"Regardless, let's get to Scam's lair so we can figure out a plan of attack," Sam stated. "I've got half a mind to actually shove my boot heels up Scam's keester for this one."
"You may want to get in line on that one, Sammy," Melissa chuckled as the spies all set off.
5:45 P.M. – Tim Scam's Secret Lair
After making it to the Sunset Strip, the spies had found a secret passageway underneath one of the bridges and followed it into Scam's secret lair, which resembled an assembly line, with more of those helmets like the one Darien was wearing visible on one of the conveyor belts.
"Wait, he's making more of those things?" Britney gasped.
"It's gotta tie in to whatever he's got planned for Darien," Haruka noted.
"Yeah, well, he won't be doing it with this batch, trust me," May chuckled as she walked over to the nearby conveyor belt, planted a trio of Incendiary Earrings onto it, and jogged away. After about five seconds, the earrings exploded violently, eviscerating the belt and destroying the helmets along with it.
"Don't think I didn't see that, you vandals," Scam's voice crackled in over nearby loudspeakers.
"Yeah, well, we wanted you to know we're coming for your ass," Bridget taunted. "So there."
"Then I guess I'll have to punish you personally," Scam chuckled as he made his presence known before rushing in to try and grab Sam.
Naturally, Sortiliena placed herself in front of Sam before lashing out with a windmill kick to knock Scam away. Not finished quite yet, Sortiliena lunged forward, grabbing Scam by the wrist and chucking him back towards the spies.
This gave Sam the opportunity to whack Scam with a double scissor-kick to the face, followed by Bridget transforming into Sonic Mode and blitzing back and forth landing strike after strike.
For good measure, once Bridget was finished, Nick sent Scam flying backwards with a Final Shine Attack.
"Why don't you just pack it in, Scam?" Nick taunted. "You're clearly not having a good time here."
"Oh, but our fun has only just started," Scam cackled. "I have other things to be doing, so why don't you play with my friend for a little while."
Before any of the spies could try and corner Scam to keep him from escaping, Darien came running in and pounced, forcing the spies to scatter and allowing Scam to make his escape.
"Okay, that wasn't nice," Clover stated.
"You really think I'm going to be swayed by your words?!" Darien exclaimed.
"You will once we get that helmet off of you!" Alex shouted. "That thing's tacky as heck anyways!"
"Ask me if I care, you harlot," Darien retorted.
The spies all instinctively glanced at Nick, knowing that Darien had unknowingly crossed a rather dangerous line.
"...I'm sorry, what did you just call my fiancée?" Nick growled, his aura beginning to pulse around him.
"I called her what she is, a harlot who's only out to wreck other people's relationships," Darien retorted. "Scam showed me proof, after all."
Nick's psychic aura exploded to life around him with enough force to slightly crack the metal floor beneath him.
"All right, buddy, brainwashed or not, that was not your brightest move," Nick responded. "Because now..."
Darien decided to not listen and moved to actually attack Alex, only for Nick to catch him in his psychic grip, noting that the helmet didn't protect him from that.
"...now you're going to get it," Nick snarled as he telekinetically tossed Darien directly into the nearby wall.
Darien quickly recovered from that and moved to strike again, only to be stopped by Sortiliena, who looked suitably angered by Darien's comments.
"Don't think you're off the hook just because Nick threw you around," Sortiliena proclaimed. "You're not getting away with those comments, trust me."
"So, I'm dealing with a polygamist or a player..." Darien growled.
"Oh, you crossed another line, buddy boy!" Sortiliena remarked. "And for the record, Nick and I are not an item when he's already got multiple girlfriends and a fiancée!"
"And I would not say 'polygamist' either!" Nick exclaimed.
Alex and Clover used their Wind Tunnel 9000s to start a bit of a sandstorm or sand cloud to trip Darien up; he was forced to shield his eyes.
"Here's an easy part," Clover quipped and clocked Darien.
"And DON'T EVER use 'polygamist' describing Nick or Mat!" Haruka exclaimed.
"Totally!" Britney exclaimed. "We ALL have our reasons!"
"All LEGITIMATE, I might add!" May growled.
"You have no right to say stupid crap like that, brainwashed or not!" Bridget exclaimed.
"I think this calls for me to handle this," Melissa insisted to the others. "You all better get a move on and stop Scam because I know this is a ruse."
"Not going to disagree on the ruse part," Dawn replied.
The spies agreed to split up, but Darien happened to stop Sam from going with Mat and the others.
"If anybody's not going anywhere, you're definitely at the top of that list!" Darien proclaimed to Sam.
Right away, an electrical fence came out of nowhere and trapped the spies.
"Where'd THIS come from?!" Bridget chastised.
"Nobody is stopping Tim Scam today, spies," Darien sneered.
"What is it gonna take to get into your thick skull that the info Tim Scam gave you is one hundred percent false?!" Haruka proclaimed.
"I don't care what's true and what's not!" Darien growled. "What DOES matter is this anomaly, and Melissa belongs to ME!"
"You'd better learn to watch your freakin' mouth when I'm here," Nick shot back as he charged forward and landed a windmill kick that sent Darien stumbling backwards. "Nobody says things like that about my sister without taking some lumps."
"Try me, you little bastard!" Darien shouted as he jumped back to his feet and tried to shoulder barge his way through the spies.
Sortiliena quickly met him halfway and ducked down to leg sweep Darien off of his feet before leaping upwards to clock him with a headbutt as well.
'Never underestimate the combat instructor," Sortiliena chuckled.
"Oh, I say that's a definite 'no'!" Melissa proclaimed.
"There's got to be a way to cut this battle short and stop that lying sack of crap Tim Scam!" Blaine chastised.
"Maybe there is..." Nick remarked. "Melissa, you want to lead this?"
"You bet I do," Melissa quipped. "Plus, 'polygamist' will not go unnoticed either!"
"Especially when polygamy deals with married couples, not boyfriend/girlfriend type..." Nick added.
"You won't stop me!" Darien exclaimed.
"Oh, is that really what you think?!" Melissa shot back.
Just as Darien attempted to grab Melissa, Nick lunged forward and slugged him in the chest with a right hook, giving Melissa the chance to leapfrog over him and knock Darien to the ground with an overhead fist slam.
"Try and come back from that," Nick taunted.
"What's going on now?!" Sortiliena chastised at seeing Nick and Melissa's team-up didn't do much.
"Something tells me Scam is remotely controlling certain things like the electric fence and the helmet," Nozomi deduced.
"My thoughts exactly," Sam replied. "I can see something in the sky to confirm that..."
"And I just found it, too," RiCO chuckled from Sam's X-Powder. "Let me just take care of this little bug, aaaaaaaaaaaaaand..."
After a couple seconds, the electric fence around the area shut itself off.
"And once again, RiCO pulls through!" Alex laughed.
"And now that I have some room to work again..." Bridget chuckled. "Sonic Mode, online!"
Darien shouted in rage before rushing over to try and attack Sam, but Bridget was already on the move, running circles around Darien to keep him in his place.
While this was happening, Nick blasted the poles of the electric fence to destroy them so they couldn't possibly reactivate.
After a little more running, Bridget skidded to a stop and blasted Darien with another kinetic shockwave that sent him flying back into the opposite wall.
When he peeled himself out of the wall, though, Darien looked momentarily confused before regaining his poise, shooting a glare at the spies, and retreating down the nearby hallway.
"...well, that didn't seem to do a dang thing," Britney groaned.
"I think it did," Dawn quipped, catching everyone's attention. "Did you guys notice how weirded out he looked for, like, a split second after Bridget blasted him with that kinetic shockwave? It looks like whatever we've been doing is starting to weaken that helmet's control over him."
'So, that means we've just gotta keep up the pressure and hopefully we'll be able to break that helmet before it breaks Darien's mind," Melissa stated.
"Then let's keep moving and hopefully shut this nonsense down before it gets too far out of hand," Sam proclaimed.
The spies continued to move through the lair, all the while hoping to find something of note about Scam's major scheme or even his trump card that he'd no doubt be springing on them before too long.
"Man, this place just keeps getting creepier and creepier, doesn't it?" Alex noted.
"Seems to fit the guy we're dealing with," Haruka chuckled.
Mat noticed that Melissa was still looking a little worried, no doubt over this whole situation with Darien, and he wondered if there was anything he could do.
Sam saw Mat thinking about it, and playfully nudged him with her elbow, silently telling him to go and talk to Melissa. And so he did.
"You okay, Melissa?" Mat asked.
"I'm just hoping we can get Darien back to his senses," Melissa admitted. "It really disturbs me that Scam was willing to go this far just to try and split us up..."
"If there's anything we've learned in our time facing him and the rest of our rogues' gallery, it's that most of them really have no lows that they won't sink to in order to take us down," Sortiliena chuckled.
"It's extremely rare that one of our baddies actually has standards," May quipped. "Could probably count that on one hand."
"Say, Melissa?" Mat wondered. "Did you maybe... wanna go out on a date after all of this is over? It sounds much better than stressing out over this, huh?"
Melissa couldn't help but smile. "You got it," Melissa giggled as she leaned over to kiss Mat.
"And don't worry, we're gonna trash that helmet and get Darien back to his senses one way or another," Mat proclaimed. "We'll make him see the light."
"Yeah, because I know that even at his most persistent, he was never this bad," Melissa quipped.
"Trust me, we're gonna make Scam pay for that in spades," Dawn stated. "He already crossed a line when he made Arnold stalk you for his plans."
"Um, sorry to break up the moment, but we've got an incoming scumbag!" May exclaimed, summoning her anchor as Scam made himself visible.
"There's no need to use such vulgar words, little pirate," Scam taunted.
"Yeah, yeah, just stick a cork in your hole, you smug bastard," May retorted. "We've heard the same speech a million times before, and it got stale after the third time!"
May took a step back before heaving her anchor like a javelin towards Scam. Though Scam just barely managed to dodge, Nick telekinetically guided the anchor back around to crash into Scam's back and send him skidding towards the rest of the spies.
"Now it's my turn," Sam proclaimed. "Prepare to eat some lumps, Scam!"
"Oh, my queen, what's with the hostility?" Scam chuckled, only for Sam to actually lash out and kick him in the face, leaving a small red mark on his face where her heel had impacted.
"Hope that hurt, you selfish bitch!" Mat shouted.
Bridget ran by, still in Sonic Mode, and took Sam's hand so they could both run towards Scam. When they got close enough, Bridget used her momentum to toss Sam forward so she could whack Scam in the face with a flying knee bash.
While Scam was still reeling from that, Sam landed on top of Scam, driving him to the ground.
"Read my lips, Scam, and read them good," Sam growled. "I don't know when you're going to get it through whatever's in that thick skull of yours that makes you refuse to listen to anything that I have to say. But I'll keep saying it no matter how many times I need to. There is no place in my future for someone like you, and that is final! Mat and I are already engaged, after all!"
"I think you'll be changing your engagement to me before too long," Scam chuckled.
Before Sam could lose her temper at that, Nick raised his hand to grab Scam in his telekinetic hold and fling him bodily into the wall.
"Seriously, you must have a brain deficiency at this point, considering that you refuse to listen," Nick quipped.
"Let's just keep wailing on him," Sortiliena responded as she approached. "Maybe then he'll finally learn something."
"Persistence will pay off for me..." Scam sneered.
"This isn't persistence," Nick remarked. "This is an unhealthy infatuation!"
"Totally!" Clover exclaimed. "You're acting like a rescued civilian who takes his gratitude to creepy new heights!"
"I'll say," Haruka stated. "That kind of stuff can be REALLY serious..."
"It'll be fair game when I'm successful today..." Scam sneered, seeing nothing wrong with what he was doing.
"The only difference is that this guy was never saved or anything," Sam remarked.
She had a definite proverbial exclamation point in mind for after the mission.
With that, the spies all took their turns pummeling Tim Scam in the very spot he lay in.
"We stand behind Sam and Mat when they say you're not included in their future!" Melissa exclaimed.
"That's a FACT!" Sam proclaimed and even gave Scam a slap on the face as hard as she could.
"We won't even list all the things you've done by yourself and with the rest of the L.A.M.O.S.," Britney stated. "But you're beyond reproach for getting you to see the truth!"
"I hope you realize that you've racked up quite a bit of charges of harassment, pal," Nick remarked. "You're lucky you haven't graduated to stalking, either!"
"Totally!" Clover chastised. "That's SOOO not what I look for in a man!"
"It could be, you know," Scam chuckled, obviously still thinking the situation was going to go his way.
Naturally, Sortiliena came flying in with an overhead snap kick to send him stumbling backwards, followed by Sam barging into him with a shoulder tackle.
"Good lord, do you ever shut up?!" Sortiliena taunted.
Sam put the proverbial exclamation point on this by stomping her boot on top of Scam's mouth and her other boot in a personal area.
"You try something like this again, and you're REALLY going to get it a lot worse!" Sam growled at Scam.
The impact from Sam's boot was enough to break a tooth or two in Scam's mouth.
"That was... oddly satisfying," May chuckled.
"Looks like this pig-headed loser will have to stock up on the ice packs," Haruka remarked.
"We better put in a note to Jerry about that," Sam joked.
"No argument there," Clover quipped.
"Now, where do we find that Darien?" May wondered as the spies were set to leave Scam behind.
However, the spies' thoughts were interrupted by another attack.
"What in the world?!" Nozomi chastised.
"Apparently Scam's not done," Sortiliena told the others.
"Far from it..." Scam sneered.
Deep down, Sam was hoping he'd do that.
"That boy Darien is my posse, and nothing you do will change any of that..." Scam proclaimed. "Until HE'S out of the way!"
"You want Mat out of here..." Sam boldly stated. "You either go through us, or back out and look for somebody else!"
"Make no mistake," Scam retorted. "I WILL HAVE YOU!"
"Then I hope you've taken your last breath, then!" Sam exclaimed.
"Sam, are you..." Blaine tried to say before Sam cut him off.
"I took on all of the LAMOS before," Sam boldly replied. "Tim Scam... IS NOTHING!"
"Ah, come to finally proclaim your eternal love for me?" Scam laughed as Sam approached him.
He would quickly stop laughing when Sam ducked down to leg sweep him off of his feet, followed by a wicked uppercut to the chin that sent him back into the air (Sam mentally noted that Nick would most likely shout "SHORYUKEN" if it was appropriate), and followed that up by grabbing Scam by the ankles and powerslamming him into the ground.
Before Scam could even pick himself up, Sam stomped on his foot to make him jump back to his feet before whacking him with an elbow to the face, then a kick to the side, followed up by borrowing a move from Nozomi by jumping onto her hands and twirling her feet around to kick Scam in the face multiple times.
"Wow, she's beating on him," Mat stated.
"Yeah, if she wasn't doing it, I would," Melissa chuckled.
"Now are you going to accept it already, or do I have to wail on you some more?!" Sam exclaimed.
"You'll see my way of thinking eventually, I guarantee it," Scam chuckled. "In the meantime, I have more important things to take care of. How about you play with my friend until the show is ready?"
Before any of the spies could ask what that meant, Darien came flying in and tried to knock Sam down with a flying kick, though Nick was able to project a psychic barrier to stop Darien's strike. However, this moment of distraction allowed Scam to escape.
"Oh, are you kidding with this?!" Alex shouted.
"I don't care what I have to do in order to make you understand!" Darien exclaimed as he continued his rampage. "You are mine, Melissa, and nobody else's!"
Mat quickly charged towards Darien, though he was shoved out of the way to make a beeline straight for Melissa.
"Fat chance, buddy!" Nick exclaimed, raising his hand to project another psychic barrier for Darien to run into.
Much to the spies' surprise, Darien simply leaped over the barrier, no doubt assisted by the helmet, and continued to try and grab Melissa.
"Get it through your thick head that you only belong to me!" Darien laughed as he reached out to grab Melissa.
What actually happened, though, was that Melissa simply glared back, raised an Electromagnetic Curling Iron, and fired a blast from it straight into Darien's helmet, causing him to stumble backwards as the helmet began sparking and making whirring noises.
"I think that did the trick!" Melissa exclaimed. "Somebody get that helmet off of him quickly!"
Nick did the honors there, reaching out to finally pluck the helmet safely off of Darien's head before tossing it into the air and thoroughly destroying it with a Final Shine Attack.
"Good riddance to bad rubbish, methinks," Nick quipped.
"Did that snap him out of it?" Dawn wondered.
The spies all waited a couple seconds for Darien to regain his senses. After he stopped clutching his head, Darien looked around in confusion, his eyes no longer dulled.
"Um... could somebody please explain what the heck I'm doing here?" Darien wondered, his voice back to normal and not sounding crazy. "I could have sworn I was at the Sunset Strip..."
"Ladies and gentlemen, we got 'em," May proclaimed.
That was when Darien caught sight of Melissa, still confused as to what exactly was happening.
"...Melissa, I have no idea what the hell's been happening, but... I just hope I didn't do anything... well, scummy while I was out of it," Darien admitted, getting all the answers he needed when looking at the other spies. "...I did, didn't I?"
"Maybe, but the stuff you did do, you weren't doing of your own free will," Melissa answered. "You remember that guy who gave you that helmet? He was behind all of this."
"It sounds like Scam figured out what your whole deal was, and decided to use it to his advantage," Mat quipped. "He's really effective at getting under our skin like that."
"Wait, wait, so that guy who offered to help me, actually made me do all those scummy things?!" Darien gasped, now fully realizing how he'd been played. "Ooh, just let me at that son of a bitch..."
'You may have to get in line on that one," Nick chuckled. "We've all got some beef with that jerk-hole."
"Before we do that, though, I've gotta get something off my chest first," Darien sighed before looking at Melissa. "I wanted to, well, apologize for my behavior, especially back in middle school. If it's not too much trouble, Melissa, I..."
"Hey, we were still just kids back then," Melissa quipped. "Us kids tend to be pretty stubborn about things, right?"
Melissa reached out to grab Mat's hand and pull him closer. "At the very least, let me introduce my boyfriend, so there's no more misunderstandings," Melissa stated.
"Um, Melissa, those introductions might have to wait," RiCO called out from Nick's X-Powder. "I just picked up a massive surge of energy about fifty yards from your position."
"Crapbaskets, it's probably Scam's trump card," May quipped. "Let's go and trash it like we always do."
"We'll explain everything once we're done with mister nut loaf, I promise," Melissa responded. "You're more than welcome to join us in kicking his keester a few times."
"...yeah, I think I'll do that," Darien proclaimed. "I've got my own bones to pick with that jerk after what he tried to make me do, after all."
"All right, then, let's mosey, everyone!" Sortiliena exclaimed as the spies all headed in the direction of the energy signature that RiCO had picked up, hoping to stop Scam and his trump card before any more shenanigans occurred.
To be concluded...

Next time...
Sam: All right, Scam, where are you hiding?!
May: Yeah, your face has another appointment with my anchor!
Darien: You're not going to get away with what you tried to make me do, you bastard!
Scam: One more changes nothing. Let's see you run your mouths after you witness my latest triumph in action!
Darien: ...um, what the hell is he piloting?!
Haruka: Yeah, he does this a lot, too.
Mat: I don't care what that stupid machine is, Scam, it'll fall just like all the others!
Scam: Oh, we'll see about that, you little punks. Nobody is going to stop me from making Sam my queen!
Alex: Yeesh, he just won't shut up about that, will he?
Melissa: Well, we'll make him shut up, then, next time on the final act of Totally Spies: Mad Love, "Let's Fighting Love"!
Darien: I hope I didn't freak you out during those scenes, Melissa. I was just trying to convey what the script was going for, and I'm not very good at this whole "acting" thing, so...
Melissa: Hey, that just means you did a good job. Our people know their stuff.
