Rumble on the Ranch
After the group leaves Route 4, they arrive in Paniola Ranch and head over to the Pokemon Center where they hand over their Pokemon to the nurse for treatment.
"It's starting to get dark out." said Shane as he looks outside to see the sun was starting to go down.
"Let's head over to my family's ranch." said Kiawe. "You can all use the guest rooms for the night."
"We'll head out after we get our Pokemon treated." said Lincoln.
"Let's get something to eat at the cafeteria while we wait for our Pokemon to finish getting healed." suggested Shelby.
"Yeah, I can eat." said Lynn.
"But first, I'm gonna send the two Igglypuffs I caught back to our house." said Lincoln as he walks over to the PC while calling his dad's device; a few seconds later, Lynn Sr answers.
"Hi, son." said Lynn Sr as Rita and the Loud sisters who were still in Royal Woods gathered around him.
"Hi, everybody." said Lincoln. "I'm about to send two more Pokemon over. One's for Lola and the other one's for her pageant friends."
"Goody!" said Lola. After Lincoln sends the two Igglybuffs over to the Loud house, Lola runs upstairs to get them; she then goes downstairs and lets them out of their pokeballs.
"They are, totes, adorbs!" said Leni when she sees the Igglybuffs.
"They're called Igglybuffs." said Lincoln.
"They're so cute!" said Lola.
"Remember that one of them is for your pageant friends, Lola." said Lincoln.
"Okay." said Lola. After Lincoln tells his family about what he, Lynn, and the cousins did today, they end the call.
The Louds, their Alola friends, and Chandler then head over to the dining area and get some dinner for themselves.
"How much is food here?" asked Chandler as he sits next to Lillie and scoots his chair closer to her, making her feel uncomfortable.
"It's free for trainers." said Alola Lana.
"Awesome." said Chandler with a grin. Once the group eats, they get their Pokemon back and start heading towards Paniola Ranch; they reach the front gate as the sun goes down. They go to the front door of the house and knock on it; a few seconds later, the door opens, revealing Siwa.
"Alola, everyone!" said Siwa to the group.
"Alola, Mom." said Kiawe. "And would you keep your voice down? I'm pretty sure that Mimo's asleep by now."
"Sorry." Siwa whispered. "What brings you all around here?"
"Could my friends, and that Chandler kid, use the guest rooms for the night?" asked Kiawe.
"Sure." said Siwa.
"Thanks, ma'am." said Lincoln. The group was led to the guest rooms where the boys occupy one while the girls were in the other. In the boys' room, they sit down on the beds in it.
"Should've stayed at the hotel back in that city we arrived when we got to this island." said Chandler.
"At least it's free." said Sophocles.
"Yeah, there's that at least." said Chandler in a grumpy tone of voice.
"Let's just get some shut-eye." said Lincoln. The group then get into their pajamas and go to sleep.
Early the next morning, Shiloh wakes up before everyone else and goes to the bathroom; once he was done, he goes outside to pass time.
"I wonder if any Pokemon are awake right now." Shiloh says to himself. As he looks aruond, he hears some grunting from inside the barn; out of curiosity, he looks inside and sees Mimo trying to lift a milk canister by herself.
"Wow, this is heavy." said Mimo.
"Alola." said Shiloh, getting Kiawe's sister's attention.
"Who are you?" asked Mimo as she gets into a defensive posture.
"I'm not a bad guy!" said Shiloh. "Your mom let me, my siblings and cousins, my friends, and some jerk named Chandler, spend the night."
"Really?" asked Mimo with some skepticism.
"My name is Shiloh Loud." said Shiloh, making Mimo's eyes widen.
"Do you know a Lincoln Loud?" asked Mimo.
"Yeah, he's one of my cousins." said Shiloh.
"Oh, if you're related to Lincoln, then I can trust you." said Mimo.
"Thanks." said Shiloh. "What are you up to?"
"I want to help with the chores here, but my older brother won't let me because he thinks I'm too young." said Mimo before she tries to pick up the milk canister she was trying to lift before.
"Let me help." said Shiloh as he reaches to grab the container's handles, only to touch Mimo's hands by mistake, making the two kids look at each other while blushing before letting go.
"S-Sorry." said Mimo.
"M-My mistake." said Shiloh. He then grabs the milk canister's handles and lifts the whole thing with ease, surprising Mimo.
"You're strong." said Mimo as she looks at what Shiloh was doing with amazement.
"My dad's a real fitness buff." said Shiloh. "Has me do a lot of exercises."
"Oh." said Mimo.
"Want some help?" asked Shiloh.
"Sure." said Mimo. Shiloh does the heavy lifting while Mimo tells him where to put everything he was hauling around. About a half hour later, the rest of the group comes out of the house.
"Where's Shiloh at?" asked Shane.
"I don't know." said Lincoln.
"Hope he's not getting into trouble." said Shelby. When they looked around, they soon find Shiloh carrying around a large hay bale.
"There you are." said Lynn Jr.
"Morning, everyone." said Shiloh.
"What are you doing?" asked Lincoln.
"He's helping me with chores." said Mimo.
"You're not lifting anything too heavy, are you?!" Kiawe asked his little sister.
"Nah, she's been having me do the lifting." said Shiloh as he sets the hay bale he was carrying down.
"Oh, as long as she's not doing any of it, then that's fine." said Kiawe as he lets out a sigh of relief.
"Breakfast is just about ready." said Rango as he walks over to everyone.
"Thank you, sir." said Lincoln.
Everyone heads into the house and sit at the table, with Mallow sitting next to Lincoln, Chandler sitting next to Lillie, much to her chagrin; and Mimo sitting next to Shiloh. As everyone ate, Mimo and Shiloh kept looking at each other, then away while blushing a bit, which some of the people near them noticed.
"That's so adorable." said Mallow.
"They're practically a couple." said Lillie.
"Like you and me, babe." said Chandler as he puts his arm around Lillie, only for her to lift it up and drop it down at his side.
"What should we do after we eat?" asked Lynn.
"I'm gonna head outside the ranch and maybe look around for a Tauros." said Lincoln. "I plan on sending it to Liam."
"Maybe I can train up my Pokemon while you're doing that." said Lynn.
"I'm not letting you Louds get ahead of me!" said Chandler.
"I'm pretty sure we already are, chump." Lynn replied.
"We'll train our Pokemon also." said Shane as he gestures to himself and his siblings.
After everyone finished eating, they all head out to do what they planned.
Lincoln, Lynn, Mallow, and Shelby head to the other side of the ranch's fence and look around for some wild Pokemon; they soon find a Tauros that notices them and starts to look aggressive.
"There's one, bro!" said Lynn.
"Phantump, go!" said Lincoln as he lets out his ghost/grass type Pokemon. "Use Leech Seed!" Phantump launches some seeds from her mouth that land on the ground beneath the Tauros which sprout vines and wrap around him; it then breaks out and charges at Phantump, but passes through her when he tries to ram her; energy is soon drained from the Tauros and then transferred to Phantump.
"Ha! Not much that Tauros can do to your Phantump, Lincoln!" said Lynn.
"Phantump, use Feint Attack!" said Lincoln. Phantump moves to the right before disappearing, then reappearing from the Tauros' right and rams him; suddenly, Tauros' horns become coated in a dark energy as he rams Phantump, this time actually doing super effective damage.
"What was that?!" asked Lynn.
"Must've been a dark type move!" said Lincoln. More energy is then drained from Tauros and transferred to Phantump, healing a bit of her previous injury. Lincoln then takes out an empty pokeball and throws it at the Tauros, hitting it, and sucking it in; the pokeball wiggles a few times before clicking.
"You did it, Lincoln!" said Mallow. As Lincoln's new capture is teleported to storage, he looks it up on his Rotom Phone.
"My Tauros is a male like all others, he knows Tackle, Tail Whip, Rage, Horn Attack, Scary Face, and Pursuit; he has the Anger Point ability which powers him up to max when hit with a critical blow." said Lincoln.
As Shelby looks around, she sees a sheeplike Pokemon, grazing.
"Hey, what's that?" asked Shelby, pointing at the Pokemon. Lincoln turned towards the Pokemon and holds his Rotom Phone out towards it.
"Mareep, the Wool Pokemon. Clothing made from Mareep's fleece is easily charged with static electricity, so a special process is used on it." said Lincoln's Rotom Phone.
"I want to catch this one." said Shelby, pulling out a pokeball. "Smoochum, go!" She throws Smoochum's pokeball and releases her. The Mareep looks up from the grass and faces Smoochum. "Smoochum, use Powder Snow!" Smoochum spins around and releases powdery snow from her body and it hits Mareep, damaging it. Mareep releases electricity from its body and it hits Smoochum.
"Okay, Smoochum; use Pound!" said Shelby. Smoochum runs at Mareep and pounds it, damaging it; static surrounds Smoochum's body.
"I think Smoochum's paralyzed!" said Lincoln. Mareep runs at Smoochum and rams her, knocking her back. It then charges at Smoochum and rams her, knocking her back.
"Smoochum, use Powder Snow!" said Shelby. Smoochum fights through her paralysis andspins around, releasing powdery snow from her body and it hits Mareep, damaging it, and encasing it in ice. Shelby takes out an empty pokeball and throws it at Mareep, hitting it, and sucking it in. It wiggled around a few times until it clicked.
"Great job, Shelby." said Lincoln. He looks up Mareep's information on his Rotom Phone. "This says your Mareep's a girl, she knows Tackle, Growl, Thunder Wave, Thunder Shock, Cotton Spore, and Charge; she has the Static ability which has the chance of paralyzing a Pokemon that attacks her physicially."
"So that's how Smoochum got paralyzed." said Shelby. Lincoln reaches into his backpack and pulls out a Paralyze Heal; he sprays Smoochum with it and cures her of her paralysis. "Don't worry, Smoochum; I'll start training you and my other Pokemon right away."
Shelby trained her Pokemon; her Smoochum learned Confusion, her Meowth learned Screech, her Sudowoodo got stronger, her Seel learned Ice Shard, her Eevee learned Bite, and her Mareep got stronger. During the training, her Mareep began to glow.
"Mareep's evolving!" said Shelby. Everyone watched as Mareep began to change shape; when the glowing stopped, Mareep now stood on two feet, had a pink body with a mane of wool covering the top of her head and upper body. Lincoln points his Rotom Phone at Shelby's newly evolved Mareep.
"Flaaffy, the Wool Pokemon and the evolved form of Mareep. In the places on its body where fleece doesn't grow, its skin is rubbery and doesn't conduct electricity. Those spots are safe to touch." said Lincoln's Rotom Phone.
"Yaay!" said Shelby.
Shane was training up his Pokemon also; his Trumbeak learned Pluck and Roost, his Mareanie learned Toxic Spikes and Wide Guard, his Igglybuff got stronger, and his Eevee learned Bite.
Shiloh was on another part of the area outside the ranch, training his Pokemon, while Mimo was watching him; his Rockruff learned Odor Sleuth, his Munchlax learned Chip Away and Screech, his Mantyke learned Headbutt and Water Pulse, and his Eevee learned Bite; also during Munchlax's training, he froze up and started to glow.
"Yes! My Munchlax's evolving!" said Shiloh. He and Mimo watch as his Munchlax starts to get a lot bigger; after he was done, he was a Snorlax.
"I'm so happy for you, Shiloh!" said Mimo as she hugs Shiloh while he blushes in response. After Mimo lets go of Shiloh while blushing after she realizes what she was doing, they decide to see how everyone else was doing.
Chandler trained his Pokemon as to not be outclassed by the Louds. His Rattata learned Hyper Fang, his Tentacool learned Water Pulse, his Ekans learned Bite and Glare, his Vullaby learned Nasty Plot, and his Eevee learned Bite.
Lynn Jr was training up her Pokemon for the upcoming tournament she planned on competing in; her Crabrawler learned Dizzy Punch, her Makuhita learned Vital Throw, her Hawlucha got stronger, her Machop learned Vital Throw, her Fletchinder learned Roost, and her Remoraid learned Bubble Beam.
With Shiloh and Mimo, they were looking for the rest of the group, except Chandler, when they hear the sound of an engine coming from the other side of the fence.
"That's weird." said Mimo.
"What?" replied Shiloh.
"We don't usually have vehicles in that part of the ranch." said Mimo.
"What do you think it is?" asked Shiloh.
"Let's check it out." said Mimo. The two hop over the fence into the ranch area and sneak over to where the engine noise was coming from; they look over a hill to see a large truck with three men, each wearing a dirty flannel shirt, black jeans, and brown boots; forcing a bunch of Miltank into the back of it with the help of a Pokemon that looked like three metal orbs joined together, each with one eye and two magnets, releasing jolts of electricity to do so.
"This is too easy." said one of the men.
"You said it, Zeke." said another man.
"Just hurry it up!" said another man. "We want to get these Miltanks out of here before those people at the ranch come around here."
"We know, Dillon." said the man now known as Zeke. Mimo and Shiloh were in shock at what was going on.
"Those bad men are stealing our Miltanks!" said Mimo.
"We need to stop them!" said Shiloh.
"How?" asked Mimo.
"You find my siblings and cousins." said Shiloh. "I'm gonna try and stop them."
"Are you sure?" asked Mimo with worry.
"Yeah; now hurry!" said Shiloh before he runs towards where the crime was going on while Mimo goes to find help.
"Get the last of the Miltank in that truck, Tucker!" said the leader known as Dillon.
"You got it, boss." said the man now known as Tucker.
"Stop right there!" said Shiloh, getting the men's attention.
"Who are you?!" asked Tucker.
"Those Miltank don't belong to you!" said Shiloh.
"Well, they do now, kid." said Zeke with a smirk.
"Would someone take care of this kid?" asked Dillon.
"On it." said Zeke. He tosses a pokeball and releases a Spearow.
"Go, Rockruff!" said Shiloh.
"Spearow, use Leer!" said Zeke. Spearow glared at Rockruff while its eyes glowed red, weakening Rockruff's defense.
"Rockruff, use Howl!" said Shiloh. Rockruff lets out a howl and his attack strength increases.
"Spearow, use Pursuit!" said Zeke. Spearow flies at Rockruff and rams him, knocking him back.
"Rockruff, use Bite!" said Shiloh, Rockruff leaps at Spearow and bites it, damaging it, and making it flinch. "Now use Rock Throw!" Rockruff launches rocks from his tail and they hit Spearow, dealing super effective damage, and knocking it out. "Way to go, Rockruff!"
"That was great!" said Mimo who just arrived with the Louds, their Alola friends, and Chandler.
"What's going on here?!" asked Kiawe.
"Those bad men are trying to steal our Miltank." said Mimo as she cried, making Kiawe snarl.
"HOW DARE YOU MAKE MY BABY SISTER CRY!" shouts Kiawe.
"What are you gonna do about it?" asked Tucker said before he takes out a pokeball and tosses it, releasing a small, red, bipedal with tufts on its head that look like hair, a beak, and a tail.
"What's that?" asked Lincoln as he points his Rotom Phone at the Pokemon.
"Magby, the Live Coal Pokemon. When flames drip from its nose, that means it has a cold. Have it lie down for a nice rest in some magma." said Lincoln's Rotom Phone.
"Who wants this one?" asked Shane.
"On it." said Kiawe as he takes out a pokeball and lets out a Marowak.
"You got a Marowak?" asked Lincoln.
"Yeah, and I know how to use him." said Kiawe. "Marowak, use Bonemerang!" His Marowak throws his club at the Magby, hitting it, and doing super effective damage; the bone comes back around and hits the Magby in the back of its head, knocking it out.
"What happened?" asked Tucker. "I blinked and it was all over."
"You lost." said Dillon. "Looks like I'll have to do this myself; Magneton, get over here!" The Pokemon, now known as a Magneton floats in front of Dillon.
"What's that?" asked Lincoln as he points his Rotom Phone at the Magneton.
"Magneton, the Magnet Pokemon, and the evolved form of Magnemite. It's frequently the cause of power outages, which is why some power plants send out electrical signals that it can't stand." said Lincoln's Rotom Phone.
"I got this." said Lincoln as he lets out his Torracat.
"Magneton, use Thunder Wave!" said Dillon, making his Magneton release a blast of static electricity at Torracat.
"Torracat, dodge and use Fire Fang!" said Lincoln. Torracat runs under the static electricity while his fangs are coated in fire and bites down on the Magneton, dealing super effective damage.
"Magneton, use Spark!" said Dillon. His Magneton's body becomes covered in electricity as it tackles Torracat.
"So you wanna play rough?" asked Lincoln as he holds out his wrist that had his Z-Ring on it and inserts his Firium-Z Crystal into it. "Well two can play that game!" He then does the pose required to activate it, making his body flare with Z-Energy.
"That looks cool no matter how many times I see it!" said Shiloh. Lincoln then channels the Z-Energy covering his body into Torracat, making the Z-Power Symbol appear in front of him.
"Torracat! Use Inferno Overdrive!" said Lincoln. Torracat creates a massive ball of fire and launches it at the Magneton, hitting it, and creating a massive fiery explosion that does more than enough super effective damage to knock it out.
"NOOOOOO!" shouts Dillon.
"Nice one, Lincoln!" said Lynn. Lincoln looks at his backpack when he feels it shaking.
"I think the Pokemon Egg feels your excitement." said Lincoln.
"Let's get out of here, boss!" said Zeke. Dillon returns his Magneton to its pokeball and starts running towards the truck with his two associates.
"I don't think so!" shouts Lynn Jr as she runs towards the men and shoulder tackles the back of their legs, making them all fall backwards; she then proceeds to beat them up until they were unconscious.
"That's showing them, Lynn!" said Sophocles.
"Crime doesn't pay!" said Shelby.
"They were lucky I didn't get a shot at them." said Chandler with a smug look on his face.
"Whatever." said Shane.
"Hey, they all lost to us in Pokemon battles!" said Shiloh.
"On it." said Lynn as she takes the three men's wallets and takes pokedollars out of them, then divides up between Shiloh, Kiawe, and Lincoln.
"I really should've battled." said Chander as he crosses his arms, and pouts.
Later, the local police was forcing the three rustlers into the back of a police car; before Dillon climbed inside, Shiloh and Mimo run over to him and kick him in the butt.
"Don't even think about trying to steal from my family again!" said Mimo.
Later outside the ranch; Rango, Siwa, and Mimo were thanking the group for saving their Miltank.
"You did good by us, kids." said Siwa.
"Feel free to stop by anytime you want." said Rango.
"Especially you, Shiloh." said Mimo as she blushes, making Shiloh do the same, which makes everyone else but Chandler chuckle.
"Catch ya, later." said Lynn as the group heads back to Paniola Town to get their Pokemon treated.
As they waited, Lincoln decides to take the time to send the Tauros he caught to Liam. He then calls his family on his Rotom Phone.
"Alola, everyone." said Lincoln.
"Hello, Lincoln." said Lynn Sr.
"Did you give your pageant friends that Igglybuff, Lola?" asked Lincoln.
Yes, Linky, and they adore her." said Lola.
"And I sent a Tauros over there; can you give it to Liam?" asked Lincoln.
"Will do, Lincoln." said Rita. "So, what else have you kids been up to?" Lincoln tells his family about the rustlers.
"Well, I hope those men get locked up for a long time." said Lynn Sr.
"I'll bet they want to stay in jail after the pounding that I gave them." said Lynn Jr as she cracks her knuckles. After they end the call, the group got their Pokemon back, the group left the Pokemon Center and continued on their way to Lush Jungle.
