Chapter 8: Dark Water Cove
When the boat sailed into the ruins port, the kids were greeted by Hugo. "I've tried to find the next eternal source, but the far viewer won't move," he said. "Why not," asked Chris. "The far viewer is rusty, so we would need some oil," said Hugo. Just then, Gurglefin had explained that as a token of his gratitude, he had made a small oil pump.
"Thanks, Gurglefin," said Lisa as she took the oil can to fix the far viewer.Hugo later explained to the kids that they needed the eternal water source next, but they needed to aquire a part known as the twin spouts. Gurglefin explained that when he looked into the far viewer that the twin spouts were at a place called Dark Water Cove, a harbor inhabited by pirates, the kids decided that they had to get the twin spouts.
When the kids arrived at Dark Water Cove, they started to set foot on the dock. "Looks like we're going to need to find a way into the fortress. They shut the main gate," said Gurglefin. "Hey, I see something," said Chris as he walked aboard the boat next to him. What Chris saw was a soul gem with the earth element symbol on it. When Chris touched the soul gem, he felt a surge of power. "Dino-Rang," yelled Chris as a boomerang wielding dinosaur appeared out of a portal made of boulders.
When they continued onward, a cannonball was launched, destroying Gurglefin's ship. "Well, it looks like we're stuck here," said Heidi. "Don't worry, we can steal a ship from one of the ports," reassured Gurglefin.
As they made their way, the kids spotted another soul gem. This soul gem had the symbol for the fire element, meaning it was for Heidi. When Heidi touched the soul gem, she felt a surge of power, "Iginitor," she yelled. Just then, a flaming knight appeared from a portal of flames.
When they made it to where the twin spouts were being held. Lisa grabbed the spouts, which were unguarded. "I don't like this, guys," said Mason. then, as they exited the chamber where the spouts were held, and soon they were surrounded by pirates. "It's a trap," yelled Lisa.
One fight later
After fighting their way through the hordes of pirates. The kids found a ship and escaped Dark Water Cove.
