AN: I am really sorry for the really, really late update. I lost my muse and I just couldn't get any creative juices for this fic. Now, I had to force myself to write the next chapter. I think it could be better...but ugh, I just couldn't think of anything. Anyway, here's the the next chapter. Now, suffer with me.

Midoriya Izuku returned home, feeling exhausted.

She had sung herself hoarse alongside the members of the two boy bands earlier. Yes, she had a great time with them but spending time with each of them drained her energy. She remembered each of their names and they seemed to appreciate the effort. They even promised to ask for her if they visit the Maid Cafe again and Izuku couldn't help but feel flattered about it.

Now, Izuku was in her house and she felt hungry. So she heated up some food and ate her dinner. Afterward, she went to bed, where she completely forgot to take her medication for the day.

The moment her head hit the pillow she was fast asleep.

That was also when she started to have a nightmare.

Midoriya Izuku dreamt she was four years old again. She was in some kind of hospital.

In the dream, she could see people in scrubs surrounding her. They were carrying some kind of medical equipment and were examining her.

She dreamt of smelling something delicious. A tantalizing scent that made her mouth water, which made her throat constrict. She suddenly felt an overwhelming thirst, like she hadn't drank any fluids for many, many months or even years. Izuku couldn't help but finally gulp it in. The moment she did, she watched as the people around her collapsed with blood pouring from every orifice while Izuku could taste something heavenly settling on her tongue.

Then, her ears were filled with the screams of the dying people around her.

Izuku promptly woke up. She instantly felt frightened.

What kind of nightmare was that? She thought in terror as she clutched at her blankets while sweat poured down her face.

Her breaths were coming in pants and her heart was beating erratically. She was shaking terribly while she could feel unshed tears gathered at the corner of her eyes. A natural reaction to a terrible nightmare. However, she just couldn't shake the feeling that it wasn't a nightmare at all, but a memory from her past.

"I think I better call my father," she decided out loud.

She reached out towards the bedside table where she usually placed her smartphone.

Izuku checked the time and it was three forty-five in the morning in Japan. So it meant that it was already past seven in the evening where her father was at.

She swiftly called her father.

RING RING RING RING

Her father answered after the fourth ring.

"Hello, Izu-chan," comes her father's warm greeting.

"Hi, Dad…" she began.

"Is there something wrong, Izu-chan? You usually don't call me at this time. Isn't it early in the morning in Japan right now?" was her father's inquiry.

She could hear the obvious concern in her father's voice.

"Yes, it is three in the morning here…The reason I called you Dad was because I had a nightmare," she told her father.

"A nightmare?... You usually have those when you don't drink your medication, Izu-chan. You didn't take your medication yesterday, didn't you?" her father asked seriously.

"Ugh, I wasn't able to take my medication, Dad. I'm so sorry," She told her father regretfully.

She heard her father sigh and then he said, "You should have set an alarm or a reminder for taking medication, Izu-chan. That would have prevented you from forgetting your medication," Her father scolded.

"I did set a reminder Dad, but it seemed my alarm stopped working for some reason," She explained to her father.

"I see…Well, you better have your phone checked because you really need an alarm or a constant reminder so that you will no longer forget your medication," her father suggested.

"I will do that today, Dad…" was Izuku's response. "Don't worry."

"But I'm still worried about you, sweetheart…You told me that you had a nightmare. Do you remember what it was about?" He inquired gently.

"Yes, I remembered it distinctively, Dad…In the nightmare, I was in some kind of medical facility with people wearing scrubs surrounding me. The medical staff was doing something to me, when I suddenly smelled something incredibly delicious. After that, I dreamed of sucking in a lungful of that delicious scent when suddenly the people around me started collapsing and bleeding from their eyes, ears and mouth. They were screaming in terror and agony, Dad… I woke up after that…I am really scared, Dad. It doesn't feel like a nightmare at all but memories of when I was still a child. It felt too real to be a nightmare, Dad." She revealed to her father, her voice quavered while she blinked away the tears from her eyes.

Her father fell silent after that.

Izuku was still distraught after the nightmare. She couldn't shake the horrific and disturbing images from her mind.

"I am really sorry to hear that you have a nightmare, Izu-chan. I wish I was there to comfort you right now… I wish I could make your favorite hot chocolate to settle you down, but I can't do anything while I am away. And I won't be able to be there for another month," her father said to her sadly.

"What do you mean you won't be here for another month? I thought you were coming back for Christmas this year?" Izuku asked in surprise.

"Something came up at my work and I am afraid that I won't be able to celebrate Christmas and New Year with you this year, sweetheart…"

"Oh," Izuku uttered softly. She can feel her heart dropped at her father's words. "So I will be spending Christmas and New Year by myself?"

"If you decide to, Izu-chan. You can always spend Christmas with Doctor Tsubasa and Ryu if you want... I'm really sorry that I can't be there with you, sweetheart. I will make it up to you once I go back. I promised I will bring you a lot of souvenirs from my travels."

"It's alright, Dad. I understand…" she replied while she tried not to show her overwhelming disappointment in her voice.

"Thank you for understanding, sweetheart…"

"Of course, Dad."

"As for what you told me Izu-chan, I think it best that you keep up with your medication. If you do, you will no longer have nightmares once you keep up a routine. And please, please take better care of yourself, sweetheart. I know I'm not always there, but I still worry. I will have Doctor Tsubasa check up on you while I'm still out of the country. And I'm sure your friend Ryu will be there as well."

"Yes, Dad…and since I don't like you getting worried, I will do all you ask."

"Thanks, sweetheart…" her father responded. "Do you have anything else to talk about?"

Izuku still wanted to talk about her horrific nightmare but her father seemed to be dismissive about it for some reason and that upset her very much. However, she didn't want to voice out what was on her mind. So she kept her feelings to herself and said to her father, "No, I have nothing else to talk about."

"Alright. Since you have nothing else to discuss, then I will say my goodbye."

"Yeah, I will talk to you next time. Take care over there…I love you."

"You too, sweetheart. Take care and I love you too. Goodbye."

Her father then ended the call and she slumped on her bed with her throat tight from repressed tears. She could feel her heart sink to the pit of her stomach at how distress she was when her father just simply suggested taking her medication to stop her nightmares and nothing more than that.

Her father sounded like he was trying to avoid the topic entirely but why? Was it because there was more to the nightmare than she realized? Was he hiding something from her?

I should stop thinking negative thoughts about my father, Izuku shook her head. There must be another reason why he didn't want to talk more about my nightmare. Perhaps I should have asked him earlier about it but I think my father will just change the subject if I do…Ugh! I better stop thinking the worst of my father. It would only be counterproductive…

Even when it was still three in the morning, she knew that she wouldn't find sleep again. So Izuku gradually got up from the bed and started getting ready for the day.

She had much to do that day.

Later that day…

Izuku was at work at the Maid Cafe in the morning. She was just delivering a tray of food to one of the patrons when the door to the Cafe opened and two young people walked in.

She immediately knew that the two were heroes just by looking at their attire. However, what made Izuku stiffened, was the sight of a familiar blonde boy with red eyes.

The same boy who tormented her before for being quirkless.

Bakugou Katsuki.

Their eyes locked on each other for a moment and Izuku froze when she saw an odd expression on his features.

She quickly glanced away and tried to keep herself busy so that she wouldn't have to serve them.

Unfortunately, that was not to be.

Izuku's manager came to her and said, "Izuku, do you see those two young heroes sitting at the table there?"

She glanced at the place where her manager indicated and her eyes landed on the blonde boy and his companion again.

"They want you to serve them. They ask for you specifically. Can you do that Izuku-chan?" came Mrs. Kanda's request.

Izuku's heart sank. She didn't want to serve those boys. Not at all. But she didn't have a choice. The two boys wanted her specifically. The blonde boy who reminded her of her awful childhood must be the one who asked for her.

Is he here to torment me again? She couldn't help but think with increasing anxiety. Please don't ruin this for me too Kacchan…I love this job. I don't want to quit just because of you…

"Of course, Mrs. Kanda," she told her manager. "I will be with them in a moment."

"You are a dear, Izuku-chan. Alright. I will leave you to it," the older woman replied right before she left Izuku to face her previous tormentor and his strange-looking companion.

Izuku steeled herself for the inevitable encounter and slowly walked towards the table where the two boys were currently sitting. They were trying not to keep it obvious, but she had already noticed them looking in her direction quite frequently.

She began to suspect that they were there for a reason.

What do they want with me? Why have they asked for me specifically? It's the same thing that happened with those two boy bands from yesterday…They also asked for me to serve them.

She finally arrived at their table and Izuku ignored the blonde boy and directed her attention at his companion, who had white hair on one side of his head and red hair on the other. He also had different colored eyes. Turquoise and gray.

Other than that, Izuku of course noticed how handsome the boy was but she was not that interested in someone who kept company with her previous tormentor.

"Hello, my name is Izuku. I'm your Maid for the entire time that you are here. Can I help you with anything Masters?"

"It's nice to meet you Izuku. My name is Todoroki Shoto and this is Bakugou Kat –" the boy was shortly interrupted by the blonde boy sitting opposite him.

"I already know her, Todoroki," the blonde cut in. "She was my classmate before."

Izuku fell silent and did not say anything else. She just stared at Kacchan and waited for him to add something nasty, but to her utmost surprise, he didn't.

Instead he remarked, "Izuku, it's been a while…"

Her eyes widened at the way Kacchan addressed her. It wasn't 'Deku' or anything derogatory, but her first name and nothing else.

"Yes, it's been a while…" she answered softly, meeting his crimson gaze with her emerald pair.

There was a tense pause as the two stared at each other in silence.

"How are you doing, Izuku?" the blonde inquired. He seemed interested in her answer.

"I'm doing well," was her brief response.

"That's good to hear," Kacchan replied.

Then, there was another awkward pause as they just looked at each other with uncertainty this time.

Thankfully, it was Kacchan's companion who finally broke the silence.

"If you don't mind, we would like to make an order," he said and Izuku's attention went back to him.

"Of course, what would you like to order Master Shoto?" she asked.

"Do you always call your patrons Master?" the bicolor haired boy questioned curiously.

"Within the Maid Cafe, yes we do," was her reply.

"I see…Anyway, I would like to have the Strawberry Yogurt Shake," he ordered.

He then turned to the blonde and said, "What about you Bakugou?"

"Mine would be Lemon Jasmine Green Tea."

"Anything else?" she asked after she chose and pressed the orders on her tablet, where it would directly go straight to the kitchen.

"I think that's all," the boy, Todoroki, stated.

"Alright. I will be back with your order. If you need anything else, just press this button, and I will be with you right away," she told the two boys, who simply nodded their heads.

Afterward, she made a swift retreat from there. She had never walked so fast in her life. Although Kacchan was acting pleasant towards her, she still wanted to avoid him as much as possible. The sight of him brought up so many painful memories, which she didn't want to remember.

It took around five minutes before the kitchen staff was able to finish the order. Izuku quickly served it to the two boys.

"Here are your orders, Masters…" she said to the two boys and gave them their drinks.

"Thanks, Izuku," , "Thank you," they both replied.

"Do you need me for anything else?"

"No," the boys said at the same time.

"Alright. I will leave you two to enjoy your drinks. Just press the button when you need anything."

Izuku watched as the two boys nodded their heads.

She then hastily walked away from them and began serving other patrons. Although she could feel their gazes remaining on her even when she was talking to the other patrons.

It was after thirty minutes when Izuku was called back to their table again and she went to them with a guarded expression.

"Hello again, Masters. Do you need me for something?" she inquired.

"Yes, we do need you for something," the bicolor haired boy told her in a serious tone.

"What would that be, Masters?" she asked while she couldn't help but feel anxious.

"Well, do you mind if we take some pictures with you?" he asked her.

At his request, Izuku instantly calmed down when she realized that they only wanted pictures of her.

"No, I don't mind but it would be 900 yen for the polaroid picture and 500 yen if the photo is taken from your own phone," she informed them of the prices.

"We want to use our phones," he answered.

"Alright…" she stated. "Who wants to take a picture with me first?"

"Me first," was Kacchan's demand.

Izuku could feel herself grow cold at that, but she didn't have a choice. Kacchan was her patron so she had to serve him what he wanted.

"Ok…" she muttered as she walked towards the blonde boy.

She watched as Kacchan stood up from his chair and positioned himself next to her. He then gave his phone to the other boy.

"Here take a picture of us, Todoroki," Kacchan ordered.

"Sure," said Todoroki while he accepted the phone.

"Stand close to me, Izuku," came Kacchan's next demand.

Izuku couldn't help but flush while she was beset with nerves. She did as Kacchan demanded and shuffled closer to him until the boy's muscular arm brushed against hers. She could feel the warmth emanating from him at their close proximity.

"Ok..at the count of three. One. Two. Three," the red and white haired boy said.

There was a clicking sound as the other boy took pictures of her and Kacchan standing close together. Izuku, of course, posed for the camera while deep inside she felt conflicted to be standing close to the boy who had been awful to her before.

"I got the pictures, Bakugou. Now, it's my turn," the bicolored boy told Kacchan.

"Let me see the pictures first. If it's good or not," the blonde said as he snatched the phone from the other boy.

Izuku observed as Kacchan looked at the pictures on his phone.

"Well, it seems good enough…Ok. Todoroki, give me your phone," He said to him.

"Here," Todoroki replied while he handed Kacchan his phone.

"Go stand next to Izuku," Kacchan ordered next.

She moved to stand close to the bicolored boy, who looked tensed and stiff as a board.

She didn't know why they wanted photos of her but the boys were acting odd for a patron. Usually, the patrons would be enthusiastic about interacting with the Maids of the cafe, but these two heroes were behaving strangely, like they weren't really there for pleasure but for Hero work.

She eyed the red and white haired boy for a moment before she posed again. She formed her fingers into a heart sign while leaning forward with a grin and a wink on her face.

"Get ready, you two… Ok. Go." Kacchan started to take pictures of her and Todoroki.

"Here, Todoroki. It's done," The blonde informed as he returned the phone.

"Thanks, Bakugou," the other boy responded wryly.

"Do you need me for anything else Masters?" She asked them again, inwardly hoping that they won't need her anymore.

The two boys sat back on their chairs. Then, they both glanced at each other in silent communication.

"We would like to have your number, if you don't mind, Izuku," the bicolored hero stated boldly.

Izuku was shocked to hear the boy's request. This would be the first time that someone asked for her number. However, as she fixed her eyes on the boy, she couldn't see anything in his expression that would warrant such a daring act.

The boy didn't seem to be interested in her in that way. In fact, he conducted himself professionally, even when he was asking for her number.

"I'm sorry but it's our company policy not to provide personal information to our patrons. It's for our own safety, you see…unless you are asking my number for hero work?" She inquired, suddenly beginning to suspect something about their act.

"It's for hero work," was Kacchan's quick answer.

"Yes," came Todoroki's hasty agreement.

Izuku frowned at their answer and asked, "Hero work? Whatever for?"

She narrowed her eyes at them when she saw the two glanced at each other again before Kacchan replied.

"We heard that there are many male patrons who stalk the Maids here. We are only asking your number to ensure direct communication with us if something happens to you," Kacchan explained to her.

"Yes, we are only concerned for the Maids' safety here," Todoroki added.

"Oh ok…" She mumbled, her face flushed scarlet when she realized that she was being suspicious for no reason at all, especially when the heroes were only concerned for her.

"I understand," she straightened before she smiled naturally at the boys.

The two boys stared at her for a moment.

"I will give you my number," she said right before she told them what it was.

The two boys hurriedly added her number to their phones with a serious look on their faces.

"Thanks," Todoroki said, smiling at her for the first time.

"No problem," she responded while she returned his smile.

"What time are you off, Izuku?"

Izuku's head whipped around to look at the person who asked her that question.

"I'm off after an hour or so. Why?" She asked Kacchan, who looked embarrassed about something.

"Well, I want to talk to you about something," the blonde replied with a grimace on his face.

"Oh…Ok," she responded, appearing confused.

"I will wait for you then," Kacchan told her, directly meeting her eyes with his own.

Izuku could only nod her head mutely. She didn't know what else to say. She didn't know what Kacchan wanted to talk about but it was making her feel uneasy.

Hopefully Kacchan wouldn't ruin her day by dropping insults like the old times. However, judging from his look, he didn't appear to be in an insulting mood. In fact, he looked disquieted about something.

"I will see you later then, Izuku," Kacchan said as he stood up from his chair followed by Todoroki.

"It was nice meeting you, Izuku…We will ask for you again when we come by next time," he told her, giving her another smile.

"Of course, Master Todoroki. I will see you both next time," was Izuku's answer, looking flustered.

Thereafter, she watched them both leave the Maid Cafe after paying for their drinks and the photos. She silently wondered if there was another reason why the two heroes came to the Maid Cafe and asked for her.

Much later, after she talked to Bakugou, she would soon learn that the heroes only asked for her number and not the other Maids, which confirmed her suspicion that there was more reason for the heroes' visit.

She just didn't know what it was yet, but she wanted to find out when the boys dropped by the cafe again. If they drop by, that is…

Hopefully they would because Izuku had a lot of questions for them that needed answering.
