AN: I am really sorry for the really, really late update. I lost my muse and I just couldn't get any creative juices for this fic. Now, I had to force myself to write the next chapter. I think it could be better...but ugh, I just couldn't think of anything. Anyway, here's the the next chapter. Now, suffer with me.
"So you don't want me to go to King's Landing and kill the Mad King?" she stated.
"Yes, don't go there yet. I have another task for you to accomplish before you can kill King Aerys," the three-eyed-raven, or Bryden Rivers, answered her.
"What is it?" Arya asked, looking apprehensive.
The man then told her what to do next and Arya became skeptical about the entire thing.
"Are you sure that this is really going to work?" she inquired after Brynden had spoken of Arya's next task.
"Yes, I have foreseen it," Brynden replied confidently.
Arya stared at him for a moment before she said, "Fine! I also think that this will also help in the fight during the Long Night to come. Hopefully I won't screw it."
"You won't," Brynden assured her. "You will do well with them. I can assure you of that."
"Thanks for the assurance, Brynden. I wouldn't do it if I didn't know that it would be successful," She admitted.
"You will be successful," The man stated with no hint of doubt.
"Then, I shall go to Pentos!" Arya proclaimed. "Will you still be watching me Brynden while I'm there?"
"Of course, I will," the three-eyed-raven guaranteed.
"That's good. I now feel confident in accomplishing this task, especially with you watching over me," Arya stated.
"Then, I hope you are ready for the trials ahead of you for it would be difficult indeed," Brynden warned.
"I'm ready as I shall ever be, Brynden," Arya responded with conviction. "There's no one stopping me from fulfilling a prophecy."
Four weeks later…
Pentos
The instant Arya Stark arrived in Pentos, she immediately went to her target's location and surveyed everything. She counted the guards, memorized their patrol route and noted the time the guard changed. She also scrutinized the servants and the entrance where they usually go through at the location.
There was a big hole in the location's security, which she of course took advantage of.
Hence, three nights after her arrival in Pentos, Arya put her plan in motion and snuck into the mansion disguised as a servant. She already killed the servant before entering the mansion and was currently using his face to enter the place.
Now, the hard part, which was pretending to be someone she was not.
She made sure she was inconspicuous as she moved through the hallways of the mansion. At around ten o'clock at night, Arya was certain that her target must be in bed or somewhere where he spent his time to relax and unwind.
It took around twenty minutes of searching to find her target and he was in his study reading some documents.
"What are you doing here?" The man demanded in Pentoshi the moment Arya entered the study. She didn't really understand his words but she could get the gist of it.
However, the man didn't get the chance to say more or shout for help before Arya was on him. The man was already a dead man walking when she made him her target.
In three steps, she was in front of the fat man and pressing a dagger against his throat until a shallow cut appeared there.
"If you yell, you are dead. So why don't you answer some of my questions and I will let you live," She told him.
"Alright. I will answer your questions. Just please don't kill me!" The man responded in obvious terror.
Thereafter, she extracted everything she needed from him, especially the location of his wealth and the things that she came there for. Once she had all the information from him, she then killed him and hid his body. She took the man's face and pretended to be him for an entire day while she transported all his wealth and other things into a ship bound for Westeros.
After she concluded her business in Pentos, and still disguised as the man she had killed, she boarded the ship and set sail towards Westeros, into the port at Duskendale, where she would then disappear alongside the wealth and something more that she had stolen from the Magister.
"You have done well," was Brynden's remark the instant Arya drifted off to sleep.
"Now, what should I do with them?" she asked. "People would be suspicious of someone like me riding a wagon full of money and other important things."
"I made sure that your path is clear. So no one would come by you and interfere. Just make your way to the Isle of Faces, where there is a place you can hide these things for the moment," came Brynden's advice.
"Alright. I will do that," Arya replied.
"It's almost time to fulfill the prophecy, Arya Stark. I hope you are ready," the three-eyed-raven reminded her.
"I am ready…I am ready since I was reborn to this time as Lyanna Stark," was her confident response. "I will see this prophecy fulfilled and I will watch the world tremble from what I will do next."
"Many shall fear you soon, Arya Stark. No doubt about that. For it is written and foretold. You will be the prophesied child as you were before in your time," the man told her. "Now, however, you will have something more by your side."
"Yes and I can't wait for it to happen!" She exclaimed excitedly.
One week later…
Isle of Faces
"We've been expecting you, Arya Stark," was the first thing one of the green men told her when she finally landed on the Isle of Faces using a stolen boat.
"We have waited for your arrival since the day you were born in this time," said another.
"Has the three-eyed-raven already told you of my purpose of being here?" She went straight to the point.
"He has and we have prepared everything for you. However, we understand that you will do what must be done after you kill the Mad King," the green man stated.
"Yes, I will leave all of the things I have stolen here, most importantly the chest. Your task will be to watch over it while I go to King's Landing and kill the Mad King,"
"And we shall accept this task willingly," they said.
"Thank you. This means a lot to me because I need all the help I can get to stop the coming Long Night," she admitted.
"And we shall help you in your endeavors, especially when performing the ritual."
"I would really appreciate that... Anyway, I will be leaving my things with you. I need to go to King's Landing and commit regicide."
"Of course, we wish you the best of luck, Arya Stark," said one of the green men.
"We will wait for your return," another added.
Arya simply nodded her head before she made her way back to the boat. The other green men had moved swiftly and had taken the things from the boat.
Now, Arya Stark was on another mission.
To kill King Aerys Targaryen.
Or the Mad King.
One week later…
King's Landing
Killing King Aerys Targaryen would not be easy. That's why Arya spent most of her time observing everything within the Red Keep. Once more, she disguised herself as a maid servant that she had killed before and spent her time examining the Kingsguards and their routine. She knew that Ser Gerold Hightower and Barristan Selmy were always with the King. So she watched them closely.
On her fourth night within the Red Keep, Arya got lucky and discovered one of the secret passages within the castle after she noted Vary's little birds – or rather tongueless children – lurking about within the shadows.
So when she saw one of mute children, she used this opportunity to threaten the little girl, who instantly showed her every little secret passage within the castle, especially where the King slept.
Fortunately, the passages were enough for her to squeeze through since she was still a child herself. After the little girl showed her the passages, she then gave the little girl some gold dragons and threatened to kill her once more if she told Varys or anyone for that matter about what she showed Arya.
Arya could have killed the little girl to keep her secret safe, but she didn't want to. She didn't want young and innocent blood on her hands. So she hoped that her kindness would not bite her in the ass after she dismissed the little girl that night.
On the same night, she acted on her murder plot at once. She didn't want anyone catching wind of her plans, especially Varys so she waited for the Mad King to go to bed before she finally snuck into his bedchamber and made her move.
Soon the Mad King died without even waking up from his sleep.
Arya had just simply stabbed her dagger through his eye and straight into his brain. Immediately killing him.
The King didn't deserve to suffer a painless death, especially after hearing the atrocities he committed. However, she was on a time limit and she didn't want the Kingsguards at the door to investigate if the Mad King made a sound.
Thus, the silent death.
Thereafter, Arya made her escape without raising an alarm from the castle.
Much later, the sound of the bell tolled three times for the death of the King, but Arya was already long gone from King's Landing by then.
"I am happy to see that you have accomplished another task that I set for you," the three-eyed-raven remarked.
"Your welcome," came Arya's sarcastic reply.
"Now, all you need to do is find three people for the entire ritual that you will partake in on the Isle of Faces."
"I will just bring some bandits on my way to my final destination," She said, shrugging her shoulders.
"Then, I will send them your way. Just make sure that they stay alive until you reach the Isle of Faces."
"Yes, I can do that."
"Good. Stay safe then, Arya Stark."
Four days later…
Isle of Faces
"I hope everything goes well," Arya stated as she stared at the large weirwood tree in front of her while behind her she could hear the three bandits that she had captured struggle against their bindings.
"Oh well…here it goes," she muttered.
With the green men's watchful eyes, Arya began to perform the ritual.
First, she brought the first bandit in front of the weirwood tree and had him kneel before it.
"Any last words?" she asked the first bandit.
"Fuck you!" the man spat a glob of spittle at her, which landed at her feet.
Arya wasn't amused and it showed by the way she handled the man's last time on earth.
With the Valyrian sword that she had stolen from the Magister, she lopped off the bandit's head without hesitation and watched as blood was spilled upon the roots of the weirwood tree, where she sent a silent prayer to the Old Gods soon after.
The first sacrifice to the Old Gods, which would awaken Old magics and strengthen the connection between her and her three objectives. Also, to bind her three objectives to her blood.
To the Stark bloodline.
She did the same thing to the other two bandits until all three were dead at her feet.
No words were required in the ritual.
Only silent prayers and sacrifices.
Now, it was time for the burning.
The green men had already built a funeral pyre earlier.
"Placed the dead bodies on top of the pyre," she commanded them.
Arya then watched as the three headless men were placed on top of the funeral pyre together with the three things that brought her to Pentos in the first place.
"Start the fire," she ordered the green men next.
The green men did as they were told and lit the fire.
The fire consumed the pyre with the bodies in it, but Arya's gaze was locked unto colored stone-like objects.
She moved towards the three objects.
Next, she slit the palm of her hands and let her blood drip down onto three objects on top of the burning fire.
Thereafter, she stepped from the pyre to watch and wait for the inevitable to happen.
Arya had to wait until the fire had burnt the bodies and pyre into cinders when she finally heard the sound of stones cracking, which was followed by chirping noises of the three creatures that came out from their broken shells.
She could already sense their little minds. The sacrifice to the Old Gods and the Valyrian Gods worked. It had strengthened the connection between her and the three creatures. The ritual also bound the creatures to her blood and the Stark bloodline, which meant that the Stark bloodline would have the opportunity to become more than they were before, if they couldn't warg into the creatures in the first place.
"Who is the mother of dragons now?" Arya murmured, grinning widely with joy and triumph. "Because I am! Sorry but you can no longer have them, Daenerys!"
