After JJ got the girls in their swimsuits and having fun in the pool with their grandparents she went back into the dining room. "What do we know?"
Garcia had been looking at the feeds to see what they could figure out, "I've patched into the surveillance feed of the two houses, his and yours. He has sound as well as video in the area he's holding Emily." Tapping a few keys, she brought up the video snapping the laptop shut quickly at JJ's gasp.
The sound and images of Emily that filled the room were haunting to the team and were not something they would forget. It's a scream that filled JJ's nightmares since she'd seen the tapes Jessica had sent. The scream and images that seared into her memory forever and now she was adding more. The pained whimpers from her wife turned her insides and she rose quickly from her seat rushing to the bathroom to empty her stomach. When she had herself under control, she rinsed her mouth and went back to the team.
"What's the plan?" JJ asked, looking at all the concerned faces of her team, her friends.
"Garcia is looping the feed to your house right now and sending that back to Anderson. Derek and Tara are on their way over and will set up a command post for us there. I think it's best if we move this from anywhere the girls can see or hear. We know that Emily is hurt, but her injuries aren't life-threatening and for the most part, she seems to be coherent. The address we have for Anderson is an abandoned factory; Garcia's trying to back trace the signal to find his actual location. While we're waiting for her scans to finish we are going over the data we know about him so far." Hotch handed JJ an iPad with the information, "Once you're caught up with the rest of us, we can start building the profile."
JJ took the device and read through the background information on their unsub. They knew what motivated him, the loss of his wife to another women. For most men, this would not be an issue but for a personality like Jason Anderson, the loss of control he had held over his wife would be unacceptable.
"Do we know what happened to his wife?" JJ asked when she finished reading the file, "Was she one of his victims?"
Garcia looked up from her search, "She moved out of state and changed her name. Nothing I've been able to find says she was one of his victims." Her laptop dinged and she looked up from the screen, "Yes! I'm in."
Reid cocked his head and tried to peer over her shoulder but she pulled the screen around frustrating his attempt to read over her shoulder, "You're in what Garcia?"
"Everything boy wonder. I've got access to his computer." She clapped gleefully, "Now let's see what kind of mischief Mr. Anderson's been up to."
While Garcia was doing her magic, JJ went to check on the girls and Elizabeth walked over to her for information, "We don't have much yet, Garcia has hacked into his computer; we should know something soon. How are they doing?"
Elizabeth smiled watching her husband laughing with the girls, "They are children, Jennifer. Very resilient."
"We're going to the house to set up a command center there so they don't over hear any of this—we're going to review everything Garcia has. Will you be okay with the girls?" Elizabeth nodded, "Lily definitely needs a nap but Oakley can stay awake to keep Amelia company."
"Don't worry about the children, Jennifer. They will be fine." Elizabeth had already called the Jareau's knowing they'd jump in the car and be there as soon as they could. The Prentiss's didn't need another set of hands to take care of their grandbabies, but they did need to be around family. After discussing a little more of what was going on, Elizabeth began to question things, "If you know where he is, why not just go there and arrest him?"
"We need to determine if he'll go peacefully or if our arrival will cause him to escalate. We also need to know as much about the place where he's holding Emily as possible. Ensuring her safe extraction is our top priority, apprehending the bastard is secondary."
Elizabeth nodded, having seen the BAU in action before she knew their methods were sound and she also knew getting her daughter back safely was more important to them than anything else—she was still worried though. "I really hope you kill that monster."
JJ ran her fingers through her hair, "For what he's done to Emily, I really want to be the one to put a bullet in him. I know I need to protect my girls but gosh help me, I want him dead."
"I don't think anyone would condemn you for saying that Jennifer, least of all me. I may not have been the best parent in the world to my child, but I have always been fiercely protective of her."
JJ nodded, "You've made up for a lot of lost time, Liz. Take care of my babies."
Derek and Tara met them at the front door and ushered the team into the downstairs study where they had set up a whiteboard and table for the team to use. Once everyone had taken a seat, they started their profile while Garcia tacked the pictures up.
When she finished, Reid walked over to see the aerial view of Anderson's house noting the lack of neighbors and dense foliage surrounding the area. "I think we can come in from behind the house. He shouldn't be able to see us until we're ready."
Garcia shook her head, "You can't go undetected. He has the entire area around his house under surveillance. There's no way I can loop the feed without him knowing since it's wired for sound."
JJ sat back in her chair; she had an idea on the drive over but knew Hotch wouldn't like it; she also knew it had a better chance of working than any of the others being thrown around by her team. "Hotch, I have an idea, but you have to hear me out before you say no."
When he nodded his agreement she outlined her ideas. "He's waiting for me to come back and we know he has Emily. What if we had Garcia feed him an image of me returning home? She can hide the rest of the team from him and while he's coming after me, two of you can go get Emily? The rest of the team can stay here and apprehend him when he shows up. He needs to kill us together so he'll either bring Emily back here, or he'll want to take me to her. Since she's hurt, I'm betting he'll find it easier to come after me alone."
Reid started to protest but Hotch cut him off before he could finish, "She's right Reid, he'll come after her. While I don't like the thought of setting JJ up as a decoy, her plan has the best chance of succeeding. Reid and Rossi head to Anderson's. You can wait at the convenience store down the road and once he's a safe distance away, go in and get Emily. Garcia, you'll need to block video of the first floor here. JJ, once Reid and Rossi are gone you can go down the street in a rental car and wait for our go ahead. Once we've moved all the cars, Garcia can start sending the live feed back to Anderson and you can drive in. Any questions ask them now."
When none came, he retook his seat as JJ, Reid and Rossi left the room leaving him with Derek and Tara. "How close are we going to let him get to JJ?" Derek asked.
"We'll take him down as soon as he enters house. We have to keep him away from her."
Derek narrowed his eyes at Hotch's words trying to figure out his angle, "You're thinking she'll kill him, aren't you?"
"I'm not going to let her make that decision." Hotch declared decisively, "I don't want her to wonder later if it was justified."
Derek nodded, "JJ may be the best shot on the team, she doesn't need to live with another kill on her conscious though no matter how much he deserves it. Shooting Battle almost killed her and if she can do that for Garcia, we know she'll go completely overboard for Emily."
They sat in silence, each lost in their own thoughts until the ringing of Hotch's cell phone broke through, "Hotchner."
"We're in place and ready when you are," Rossi informed him.
"Garcia is sending the video feed to your phones now, I'll call JJ." He pointed at Garcia and she pressed a few keys on her laptop sending the images to their phones.
A few minutes later JJ was a few miles down the road and it was time to start sending Anderson the live feed from the house. Moments later, she pulled into the driveway and exited the car, it was time to get the show on the road.
Jason Anderson had been watching the monitors intently for the past hour waiting for some movement at the Prentiss home. He sat up straighter in his chair and leaned in closer when he saw a car pull into the driveway. A shot of adrenalin pulsed through him when JJ exited the car. "Yes! She's home, finally!" He exclaimed to the empty room, rushing from his chair to the living room to get his gun. Now he could get the two women together and finish them off once and for all.
He thought about going downstairs to let Emily know he was bringing her a little surprise but decided against it. He'd just let her find out for herself when he brought Jennifer to her. He knew the reunion would be bittersweet since Jennifer had returned without the girls, but he couldn't wait to see Emily's face when she learned they would be divorcing, and it was all her fault. It was going to be great fun and he couldn't wait to watch it all unfold before him.
He peeled out of the driveway and then slowed the van to the posted speed limit; he couldn't afford for some cop to ruin his plans when he was so close to having all his hard work come to fruition. Minutes later he was parked outside the Prentiss house; he was focused on his laptop, needing to verify Jennifer was still in the house and didn't leave during his drive over. Seeing her sleeping, he was elated. He'd be able to get into the house without waking her and by the time she knew what was going on, he'd have her secured.
The ringing of Rossi's cell phone startled both men in the SUV and he fumbled it from his pocket, "Rossi."
Hotch's words were terse over the line; the stress he normally hid so well was evident in his voice. "He's on the move, as soon as he gets past you, go get Emily."
Rossi pocketed his phone and started the SUV watching for Anderson's van to pass in the rearview mirror. When it flew by, he backed out of the parking lot and drove up to the house. They knew from Garcia that the house was empty except for Emily so they didn't bother knocking, kicking the front door in they entered the dwelling.
The sight that greeted them when they accessed the basement took the men a moment to process. Emily was still bound to the chair, slumped to the side—blood trickling down her face staining the white shirt she wore. For a minute or two they couldn't tell if she was breathing and neither wanted to be the one to check. A ragged inhalation forced them to action and they rushed to make quick work of the ropes that bound her. Rossi pulled Emily against his chest halting her futile struggles, "Shh, I've got you Emily. It's Dave, you're going to be alright."
She rolled a swollen eye in his direction fighting the wave of nausea that threatened to overwhelm her as she tried to bring his face into focus. Not daring to believe that her team had found her, and the ordeal was over she carefully asked, "Rossi? Is that really you?"
"Yes bella, it's me. Reid is here too. Come on, we need to get you out of here. Can you stand?"
She tried valiantly to get to her feet but her bruised ribs protested and she fell back in the chair weakly. A cry escaping her lips was all Rossi needed to hear to know she couldn't do it on her own and without a second thought, swept Emily into his arms. Gently cradling her against his chest, he climbed the stairs and took her out of the house placing her carefully in the SUV.
Reid climbed into the backseat beside Emily and pulled her into a loose embrace trying to shield her from the bumps in the road as Rossi sped them towards the hospital. "You're going to be okay, Emily. We'll get you to a doctor and you'll be good as new in no time."
She struggled to sit up as his words sunk into her foggy conscious, "Where are my babies, where's JJ?"
"The girls are with your parents and are safe, JJ is at the house; we've set a trap for Anderson there," he said, trying to soften the words so he didn't cause her undue stress. "She's safe Emily. Tara, Hotch and Derek are with her.
"Take me there," she demanded, sitting up fully biting back the scream her protesting ribs wanted to unleash, "I'm not going to a hospital until I know she's safe."
Rossi glanced in the rearview mirror waiting to see how Reid would handle the situation. Seeing the look of panic on the younger agents face, he took pity on him. "Emily, you know you're in no position to help and may even put her in danger. You need to be seen by a doctor and I'm not going to take no for an answer. If the doctor says you're okay, we'll go, but not a minute before."
"Rossi—"
He shook his head, "No Emily! You're injured and JJ is as safe as she can be under the circumstances so you may as well sit back before you hurt yourself worse, you know I'm right. You also need to get checked out so you can see your girls."
At the mention of her girls she relaxed back against Reid. Rossi grinned as he drove; when he pulled into the ER bay he said a silent prayer that she'd behave for the doctors.
Jason climbed the steps to the porch silently disabling the alarm for the house as he'd done the gate. He tried the handle of the door and was surprised but pleased to find it unlocked, turning the handle he slowly he opened the door. As he stepped into the foyer he pulled his gun from the waistband of his jeans and tiptoed around.
Stepping fully into the house, he lowered the gun in shock as three armed figures stepped in front of him. Emily's brother was the first to speak, "Jason Anderson, we're with the FBI. You need to drop your weapon, this is the only warning you'll get."
He heard the words but couldn't process them fast enough for his hand to drop the gun. Jerking it back up, he reflexively squeezed off a shot hitting Hotch in the right thigh sending the agent to the floor, oh shit! he thought as he saw Hotch fall, he never had another thought as JJ shot him in the head dropping him instantly.
Lowering her weapon she rushed over to Hotch, "Are you okay?"
He nodded and tried to stand getting shakily to his feet as JJ slid an arm around his waist to help support him then guided him to a chair. We probably shouldn't tell the Jareau's their house was shot in, Hotch thought to himself.
Derek and Tara holstered their weapons and ran over to the dead man, Derek checked his pulse and Tara kicked his gun away then called 911 for an ambulance and the local police. Tara promised JJ she'd stay with Hotch while she and Derek raced to the car to go see Emily.
When JJ and Derek arrived at the hospital they were met in the ER by Reid and Rossi; the older agent immediately took JJ away from the group to give her an update on Emily's condition.
"She was conscious when we got here, but in a lot of pain. She's in surgery now, the trauma surgeon says her CT scan showed a lacerated liver from repeated blows to the abdomen. She has three broken ribs, and they caused the majority of the damage. The doctor will give us an update as soon as he's finished her surgery." Seeing JJ begin to panic, Rossi put an arm around her shoulder and drew her in close, "He thinks she'll make a full recovery and be up and around in no time."
JJ sank into a chair grateful to hear that even though Emily's injuries were severe enough to require surgery, she'd be okay. What am I going to tell the girls? Amelia is going to lose it…what am I going to do? Oh my god I need to call her parents.
Garcia suddenly sat beside her and took her hand—JJ couldn't help but flashback to when Emily took her hand while Garcia was in surgery. She spent entirely too much time in waiting rooms with her family and was beginning to understand why Emily hated hospitals so much.
When Hotch was whisked up into surgery to remove the bullet in his leg, the team followed a nurse to the surgical waiting room. Derek and Reid paced like caged tigers in the small space and their rhythmic motions were putting JJ to sleep as she watched them.
They had already seen Hotch after his surgery and left the man alone to visit with Hayley and Harper, Jack had stayed home with Hayley's sister. The rest of the team were still waiting on news about Emily. Hours later, the doors opened and JJ bolted out of her chair as the surgeon entered the room.
"Jennifer Prentiss?" he queried the assembled group, removing the surgical cap from his head and shoving it into the pocket of his scrubs he waited for a response.
"I'm Jennifer," she announced walking up to the sandy haired surgeon. She couldn't tell from his lack of emotion if the news she was about to receive was good or bad. His deep blue eyes gave no indication one way or another, he just looked tired, "How is my wife?"
"She presented with an accelerated heart rate and bloody vomit. We performed a CT scan that showed profuse bleeding in the abdominal cavity. She had a laceration to her liver which we were able to successfully repair. She has a concussion but doesn't remember losing consciousness so we'll monitor her for that. She'll need to remain in the hospital for three to four days before she can be released but a full recovery is expected. She's in recovery now and should be taken to a room within the hour. Do you have any questions for me?"
JJ struggled to take in all the words coming from his mouth, all she could truly understand was 'full recovery' and 'able to leave in a few days'. Shaking her head no to his question, he nodded patting her on the shoulder and leaving the room. JJ collapsed in Garcia's arms relief coursing through her body as the tech goddess wrapped her in a comforting hug.
After tearful calls with Emily's parents and her own, JJ sat back down and waited to be called back to see her wife. JJ didn't know her parents were at the Prentiss residence keeping her girls company and skillfully entertained considering Julian had come along as well. She didn't want the girls to know what happened yet and felt very lucky to have such wonderful in laws.
An hour later a nurse came to escort JJ to Emily's room. When she walked in her heart lurched in her chest. The sight of her normally strong wife attached to leads and wires was horrific—she didn't look this bad after being kidnapped and tortured by Jessica. JJ waited in the doorway until she saw Emily's chest rise and fall then went over to her bedside and took her hand.
Sleepy brown eyes slowly opened and landed on the women standing beside her, a smile lighting up Emily's face as she finally pulled the blonde completely into focus. "Jen," she rasped out, her throat sore and scratchy.
"Don't try to talk babe, you need to rest. I'll be right here when you wake up," JJ replied stroking Emily's hair and the side of her face careful as to not touch the bruised areas around her right eye. She could see the question lingering in her wife's eyes, "The girls are safe, Anderson is dead." Relief flooded Emily's face, "I love you so much Em."
Emily struggled to keep her eyes open and finally succumbed to the tiredness that infused her entire body managing only a weak 'love you all' before closing her eyes and drifting off once more.
JJ pulled the only chair in the room up close to the bed and settled in knowing she'd have to figure out what to do with the girls for the night; she felt beyond panicked. David Rossi was standing at the door and read her mind, "You stay with her now, JJ then tonight, you go be with your girls. They need one of you, I'll stay with Emily."
"I can't leave her, Rossi."
"You can't leave your girls alone, Jennifer. Emily wouldn't want that."
JJ nodded as tears streaked her cheeks, "I know, you're right. I don't know what to tell them. Amelia barely survived a night without Emily, how do I tell her? How do I tell all of them?"
Rossi came to JJ's side and put his hand on her shoulder, "Carefully. It won't be easy, but you don't have to do it alone. Morgan has already agreed to go with you and stay the night and you'll have some extra reinforcements as well."
"Extra reinforcements?" she questioned.
"Emily made sure your parents would be here for you and the girls."
"How did, how would, my wife is like no other." JJ stood and carefully placed a kiss on Emily's forehead, "You're my forever, Emily Prentiss. I love you."
"Emily Elizabeth, I swear to god I'm going to kick your ass if you don't sit down! You know I'll do it too!" JJ threatened, meaning every word.
She was beyond frustrated with her wife first for checking out of the hospital early, then for refusing to let JJ help her into the house and now she was trying to bring JJ's go bag in from the car. It was more than JJ could tolerate after the last couple of days and her temper had reached the boiling point.
Elizabeth heard the commotion and rushed to see what JJ was yelling about, startled to see her daughter leaning heavily against the door frame of the living room. "Emily dear, I didn't expect you home so soon. Your surgeon said it would be a few more days until he felt you could be safely released." Her voice cultured from years of practice oozed concern, but Emily heard the reproach from a mile away.
Sighing shallowly as she could so as not to put anymore strain on her broken ribs, she geared up for the fight she knew was coming. She had two options, either agree with her mother and acknowledge that leaving the hospital wasn't the brightest idea or stand her ground and fight.
Since she wasn't really up for the fight she conceded, "No mother, he didn't release me, I left AMA. I know it was stupid but my girls need me at home; I couldn't bear the thought of Amelia having another nightmare without me being here. You two can berate me for my carelessness all you want after I see the girls."
Elizabeth and JJ nodded at each other—they knew it wasn't smart for Emily to be home from the hospital, but they had also been there the past two nights when Amelia was screaming her head off and they couldn't do anything but call Emily to talk her down from her nightmares.
Luckily, Oakley and Lily were very distracted by their aunts and uncles and after Emily sang to them both nights, they were sound asleep. JJ had told the girls their mommy had boo boos, but only Amelia had gone to see Emily because she wouldn't calm down any other way. The littles were content with the idea that mommy needed to rest but would still talk to them throughout the day, read them a bedtime story and sing them their lullaby.
Two weeks had passed and Emily had made sure the Jareau's new house was cleaned from all the mess made with the shootings, had new furniture, and a few added items.
The Prentiss family had moved back home and the Jareau's had been staying with the elder Prentiss's. Emily decided she wanted to surprise JJ at the same time as Sandy and Allen so she told JJ to plan a get together with the team and both sets of parents. JJ didn't think anything of it as they had parties all the time with the team and went ahead and made the phone calls.
Everyone was now at the Prentiss residence, there was music being played through the loud speakers causing Derek Morgan to dance, the men were gathered around the BBQ trying to prove they were the better cook, and fits of giggles were coming from the pool where the girls and Jack were swimming with the remaining aunts and uncles. The grandparents were all sitting at one of the tables watching their unconventional family interact.
"Our girls have a wonderful family, they are all so lucky to have one another," Gerald said.
"They are, everyone here loves each other so much. It makes me feel better knowing they have all these wonderful people surrounding them considering we live further away," Allen agreed.
"You both know you're always welcome to stay with us. We have plenty of room and love having you here," Elizabeth said.
"We appreciate that and enjoy staying with you but we can't impose any longer; especially with Julian being here as well," Sandy said.
"Oh don't be silly, we love him!" Gerald exclaimed.
"Jen, care to take a ride with Amelia your parents and I?"
"What?" JJ raised an eyebrow, "Em, we're hosting a party."
"Don't worry about it," Emily saw the confusion in her wife's eyes and continued. "Please Jen, there's something we need to tell you."
"Babe, what's going on?"
"Amelia and I have a surprise for you, can you let us do this?" JJ nodded. "Go get your parents and tell them we have a surprise, I'll get Amelia," JJ leaned in and kissed Emily then watched her walk towards the pool.
"Amelia baby, can you come here for a minute please?" Emily called from the edge of the pool.
Amelia got out of the pool and Emily wrapped her in a towel, "Are we gonna tell momma now?" she whispered into Emily's ear.
Emily nodded she squealed, "Go put on some clothes then we're going to go to the house, okay?"
When the pulled up to the house JJ immediately recognized it however, the Jareau's didn't, they were still in the dark as to what this surprise was. Emily pulled into the driveway and got out of the car then everyone else followed suit.
"Babe what are we doing here?" JJ was getting impatient.
Emily led them inside and JJ realized the house had not only been cleaned but had some new furniture as well. What she and her parents didn't see was the family pictures of the Prentiss/Jareau family at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and other random pictures of the grandparents and their grandchildren.
Emily whispered in Amelia's ear then she repeated what her mother said, "You probably wanna sit down momma and you too," Amelia said to the Jareau's and her mother.
JJ looked at Emily furrowing her brows, "What's going on?"
"This house is absolutely beautiful, Emily," Allen said.
"Is this one of your parents' residences?" Sandy asked.
"No, it's not," Emily shook her head. "Come here baby," Emily said, sitting Amelia in her lap, "We have something to tell you all—"
"Yeah it's a surprise!" Amelia interrupted.
"Jen I know how much you love having your parents here, Sandy, Allen I also know how much you both love visiting your family; I hope you realize by now you're always welcome to stay with us or with my parents, I also realize that when you stay here you don't want to invite the rest of the family because you think you're imposing which isn't true by the way, but because of that I figured it would be easier for the entire Jareau family to come if you had a house of your own right here in Fairfax—"
JJ was piecing together what her wife was saying, "Babe—"
"Amelia baby, tell them," Emily said, signaling her to tell everyone.
"Grandma, grandpa…mommy bought you this house!"
Sandy and Allen were speechless and JJ had tears streaming down her face, "Em, isn't this the Bure—" Emily shook her head causing her wife to stop the thought mid-sentence and JJ ran over hugging both Emily and Amelia.
"Momma too tight!" Amelia said, trying to escape the hug.
"I'm sorry sweetie, I'm just really excited." JJ looked back at her parents who were still wide eyed with their jaws dropped to the floor.
"Sandy, Allen we stayed at this house during our case, I'm sure you'll recognize a bit of it from the FaceTime calls with the girls; it's fully furnished, move in ready, has top of the line security and pictures of you and your grandchildren all over. You're more than welcome to move here full time or use it as a vacation home. Nothing needs to be decided right now, I have the papers drawn up to have it transferred into your name. Don't worry about the property tax, that's taken care of. When the shock has worn off, we can discuss more in detail."
"You can stay here and live super close to us!" Amelia said, running over to her grandparents jumping up and down right in front of where they were sitting. "Isn't it so exciting?"
Allen grabbed Amelia and pulled her down onto the couch so he and Sandy could both hug her, "Oh my gosh, Emily! I, we, I don't even know what to say," he stuttered.
"Say you'll move here grandpa!"
"Amelia baby, it's their decision not yours," Emily said, smiling with her arms wrapped around JJ's waist.
Sandy finally found her voice and said, "Emily, we can't let you, this is too much."
"There's no price on my family's happiness, Sandy," she smiled, squeezing JJ a bit tighter.
"And guess what? Mommy said you're coming to Disney World with us! Grandma and Grandpa are coming too so we're all gonna go together." Amelia said then covered her mouth looking at Emily, "Oops."
Emily laughed, "It's okay baby, I know you're excited."
"Mommy said you can go on the big rides with me and we're staying with the giraffes!"
Emily laughed again and corrected what her daughter said, "Not with the giraffe's baby, we're staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge where there are giraffes. They do come up to the window though."
"Babe, that's the—oh my gosh!" JJ turned around in Emily's arms and kissed her before she started jumping around with Amelia. She and Emily had spoken about that hotel knowing the girls would love everything they had to offer, but she was also excited about the idea.
Sandy and Allen walked over to Emily and hugged her trying to thank her but there were really no words for the generosity of their daughter. "Thank you isn't enough, Emily."
"You've already given me the greatest gift," Emily said, to which both Jareau's looked at her with the same raised eyebrow, "Family."
JJ scooped Amelia up and joined the hug of tears that was her parents and wife. "Mommy can I show grandma and grandpa the house and all the pictures we hung up together? Can I, please!"
"You sure can sweet girl," Emily winked.
As Amelia led her grandparents out of the room JJ melted in Emily's arms, "I can't believe you did this. I thought the Bureau paid for this house."
"They were supposed to but I made a few phone calls and voila!"
"You're too good to us, babe! I can't believe you did this!" Panic then clouded JJ's face, "Oh my god, we cannot tell them what we did in their new bathtub—"
"Jen, I upgraded the tub for them, it isn't even the same one," Emily said, laughing.
"Thank god! I can't imagine my parents taking a bath in, wait you upgraded it? What possible upgrade is there?"
"The tub we have."
"You didn't!" JJ gasped. "I love you so much, babe!"
"I love you too."
Just then the doorbell rang and JJ was surprised however, Emily knew exactly who it was. JJ opened the door to find Julian standing there with Lily and Oakley, "Hi babies!" the girls hugged their mother and ran into Emily's arms.
"Sis, this house is awesome! Emily said for me to meet you guys here, what is this place?"
The Jareau's and Amelia came back downstairs to find their son and granddaughters standing in the foyer. Once Lily and Oakley saw them, they ran into their arms. "Hey mom, dad. What are you guys doing here? You're missing the party," Julian said, confusion written all over his face.
"Welcome to our new house, son!" Allen exclaimed.
Julian's jaw dropped, "You bought this house? Why didn't you tell me you're moving? Does anyone else know?"
"Mommy bought it for them Uncle Julian!" Amelia said, laughing at her uncle's rambling.
He turned to Emily, "You did, can you buy me a house next?"
JJ smacked him, "Shut up, Julian! My wife is not buying you a house. I'm sure mom and dad will let you stay here if you're nice though."
"This house is insane! Seriously Emily, if you're buying any more houses in the near future that you want to g—" JJ smacked him again shutting him up.
"I know it's not a house, but I was hoping you'd like to come with all of us to Disney World—" she smiled, watching Julian. The look on his face was the same as when she told the girls: pure excitement. "I'm not sure if the rest of the Jareau family could get the time off, but we would love for everyone to come."
"My cousins too?" Amelia asked.
"Yes baby. The Prentiss/Jareau's take on Disney World!"
At that, Julian and the girls all squealed and screamed while Allen, Sandy, JJ and Emily smiled. Exactly what the doctor ordered, Emily thought to herself.
