Master Splinter would be disappointed at such a dagger throw, if this man, standing before you was under Splinter's tutelage he'd would have throw at least fifty to seventy-five throws at a target set up in the dojo and make at least ninety percent.

Because Master Splinter wouldn't stand for it and the fact that you managed to catch one of the two daggers he threw at you seconds before you flew into the alley and casted a golden energy dome around yourself and the others, seconds before that man stabbed the boy with the scar from your class, some other hero that was injured, the class rep, and most importantly Izuku, was….disappointing.

Though you would give some credit, his throw from such a distance was remarkable; not to Splinter's level but remarkable never the less.

And the kind of dagger he used, looked like a kunai, you weren't sure Leo or Donnie or Master Splinter would know, it was their expertise and you weren't necessarily allowed to work them, unless for cooking. It wasn't something Master Splinter wanted you to focus on.

But he did make sure you knew like the others how to deflect them or catch them just like any other thrown object.

Despite the strange and uncomfortable familiarity holding the dagger, you set it down to the alley floor with a soft clink and gave it no thought.

Stain's eyes followed your movement and discernment of his dagger. They way you simply laid it on the floor, next to your foot, while never breaking your hand, extended outward in his direction, coated in a soft golden energy, expelling the energy producing the golden dome that caused a small tip of his katana to break. Covering that fire-ice boy seconds before his blade hit.

It happened within seconds, it was instinctual, Stain gathered, repealing his attack and dense enough he was able to kick off and land a few feet away. From his kick along he felt the density and sturdiness of the dome, like concrete almost.

A strong defense.

He gathered you wouldn't dispel soon. Though recalling some rather vital information he knew there was partially a chance he could get through and finish what he started; even if his quirk couldn't counter yours currently. Just one cut and drop of blood was all needed.

The thought would normally curl a smirk on his lips, but it didn't. Not this time, no, the other vital information he was provided, he had to tread…carefully.

Not many were honored with tutelage under a Hamato. Given the way you snatched his dagger out of the air, told him and more. One, that wasn't how a Hamato would do it.

Your fingers release the dagger, and slowly stand, while absently dusting off your skirt with a small lighthearted humming.

Halfway up, without meeting his eyes, you ask in your normal warm voice, "Are you alright, Izuku-chan?"

There was sentences and questions compacted in his mouth he wanted yell, but couldn't pick and nodded, despite his elevated heart rate.

You took his gesture as an answer and smiled glad, taking it with you turning and facing Stain, who's eyes your glowing ones.

"Master Splinter said it considered polite to complement another," you said sincerely your smile remaining, there no malice Stain could see, "So please allow me to complement your rather impressive skill in the art of dagger throwing. You nearly," you hold up your hand and use your fingers to show, "this close in striking me. You have almost a near accurate mastery."

The words you spoke no one was sure if you were serious or throwing insult. Your smile was genuine leaving them even further confused, if not confounded.

You hadn't noticed and continued, "Master Splinter would indeed be impressed though he possibly insist you need extended practice. Just a mincule amount. And you might be to his level." Your eyes light up kindly and voice, then shrug, "Not many can strike me down aerially. You know," you look up for a moment thinking, blinking with wide eyes, "the many times I have been shot at by the Purple Dragons and others."

Shoto, standing behind you no long term holding his arm, stared at you in shock. His eyes trying to search for some false splinter in your words and on your face. But he found none. He did notice something softly underlined in your words. Which explained your calmness.

"Yes. Quite many times I have dodged bullets and among other things. Have you ever been chased by helicopter while being shot at to which you much deliver force enough to cause the helicopter to go out of course?"

A swift glit of disbelief appeared in Stain's eyes. What where you getting at? You hold up your free hand, his eyes snapped to it, you did nothing with it except tap your chin with a finger.

You continued in a casual tone, "It is not the easiest task to do." You kept going.

Stain wasn't sure why you just kept talking about information he found the least interesting and cared only about his objective. Your protection hadn't dropped, his eyes narrowed infuriated….it should have dropped by now.

Had you remembered….he pondered, they said you possibly could….if you did then he'd drive his blade straight through your heart. Regardless how harmless you presented. The second your dome went down he'd act, his plan was already formed.

Get you before you become airborne. It clearly was your advantage, you said it yourself.

A knife thrown into your thigh would work and momentarily immobilize you; a lick of your blood and that was it.

To hell what that overgrown man child wanted and what they said.

"So," your voice brought Stain back, he noticed a slight tightness in it, and your eyes set on him with a increasing burning, "it is responsibly fair to make claim you are the cause of Izuku-chan's current emotional state and predicament, as well the others?"

He answered, "Yes."

Your smile fell to a single line, "That is not kind." Your brows furrowed momentarily.

"He involved himself. His choice." Stain points his katana coldly to Izuku than moves to Iida, than Shoto and last the injured hero, "For the false heroes."

"That is not considered justifiable. It is cruelty."

He stepped a few feet forward, the others tensed, you remained unfazed your eyes never lifting from him. Stain stopped, a jeering smirk curled on his lips and pointed his katana directly at you at your heart. The broke tip of it barely touching the dome and uttered words that something inside you snapped.

Your dome vanished and you launch a sharp kick before the others could blink and Izuku could shout your name.

"May!! Don't!"

His words didn't reach you, you didn't reach to them, and your kick didn't land. Stain dodged and blocked it with his katana inches from his face, his smirk growing.

Shoto knew its intent and hurried to you. Izuku able to move sprung up and with full cowl surging through him pushed off. Stain drew another blade out, over you and plugged it.

You caught its glint, swipe a hand up, strike his wrist and deftly slip your fingers in and grabbed the small blade.

Stain leaped back, you swung up, blades clanked. You pressed. He pressed back.

Eyes met.

Cold. Unfeeling. Vacant. Deadly and calculating.

"So this it," he said, lifted a foot and kicked.

You blocked with an arm. Take the force, ignoring a soft snap and throw devise kick aimed at his side. He blocked with his hand and drove a knife hand into your abdomen. You caught it, with both hands, dropping the small knife and hand standing on his attempt.

Izuku and Shoto paused, shocked. Just shocked. You avoided….the way you dodged was….was this what training and tutelage under a Hamato was, Izuku wasn't sure. But he noticed you had that, that same…unreadable look.

Your eyes locked with a burning focused.

No emotion.

Nothing.

And that same feeling gripped him, it wasn't exactly fear but something he couldn't pinpoint. But he felt the tips of his fingers tremble with a coldness.

Stain frowned unimpressed and disgusted at you. You stared back watchfully. Waiting for the slightest movement. You had his hands, your grip firm and tightening each second. He felt the pressure and remained unfazed. You were starting to become a nuisance.

"Enough!" He growled low, snatched his wrist with you on them, slammed them to the alley floor.

You released. Pushed off and flipped back, avoiding Shoto and Izuku, landing behind them. Your eyes never one leaving Stain, and blitz the man, rushing past Izuku and Shoto and drive a full palm thrust at Stain. You failed to notice his footwork and hand motions.

Shoto did and snatched you back, threw up a ice pillar, blocking Stain's blade inches from you. Izuku came in with a kick, landing it on Stain.

Knocking him back.

Stain was unfazed, he pointed his katana at you grimly, "She will die."

Izuku stood between you and Shoto fiercely, with a hard stare at Stain, "No."

Stain rushed him, gripping his katana, "It wasn't a request!"

Izuku rushed throwing a punch. Stain pivoted avoiding, thrusted a kick at his back when a stream of golden force struck him. Sending crashing back and landing, hovering, before Izuku.

"What the…" Izuku lost for words and even more when he saw who was hovering before him, their back to him, surrounding by a flaring soft glow.

You.

Your hands clenched into fists with collective energy calmly on your side. Your focused straight ahead at the settling dust, searching and monitoring any sign of movement in the consuming shadows. He'd never seen this on your before and…

Wait, you were supposed to be with Shoto. His head whipped to Shoto who's arms were empty and a look of confusion etched in his staring at you. Izuku could see the work Shoto's mind was trying to understand at what just happened with you.

You land without a sound, it was almost eerie. A small, soft of movement came from the shadows. Your eyes narrowed, standing cemented before Izuku, with a arm up before him.

He opened his mouth to say something, you walk away, take three steps forward, than two, a near blur dashed and force, heavy force plunged in you, shooting an sharp pain through you and smashing your body across the alley into the ground. Knocking your senses back.

Izuku watched your body skip like a pebble across the alley floor, roll, and stop a few feet from Iida and the hero.

You didn't move. There was no motion or movement anyone could see, your markings vanished, your energy…everything. Black veins started creeping over you, turning you pale. A chalky pale and your eyelids closed.

Panic struck Izuku, Raph's word from USJ surfaced reminding him it was normal for this with you….you were just…just….but the red seeping into your shirt, trickling from your abdomen flowing to the alley floor….he was certain your current appearance wasn't related to it.

You just needed to rest…that's all, yeah that's all…you just needed to rest and…

His heart dropped, the black markings now carving on and over your eyes.

April.

She appeared before him.

Her sister….her younger unresponsive before his eyes….bleeding out on the alley floor and all because….

This wasn't what he wanted.

He didn't expect this and now…..why did you come? Why did you come here!?

You just needed to wake up…open an eye and…

Your eyes remained closed.

How would he explain to April….

Stain licked your blood covering a quarter of his katana with a twisted satisfaction. You wouldn't be moving anytime soon….your blood tasted as he expected…fake.

He missed his target your heart, if you hadn't managed to move seconds before he struck he'd smile. He wasn't keen on his consolation prize. He licked your blood again and met a trio of fierce eyes locked on him.

Which Stain welcomed, flinging your blood off his katana ready to collect again, as you followed the light.
