You go back and forth between the two internships and the time off, but you eventually conclude that spending the summer at Ryukyu's agency might be best for your personal life and career.
My draconic body has been a struggle for quite some time. I can't deny how badly I wanna fly. Besides, it's been enough time for me to give Ryukyu another chance. She and Yu's teachings counterbalance each other very well due to their conflicting personalities. Nejire-chan has been working with her, too. Both are incredible mentors; Ryukyu is a Top 10 hero now, and Nejire is one of our school's Big Three. While Yu's had success in other areas, those aren't the areas I'm struggling in. It'll undoubtedly increase my prospects.
"I'll certainly take the time to reflect, Father," you tell Nezu, "but I've already decided what to do over the spring break."
"Decisive," he comments. "That's an excellent trait to have as a hero. I assume you'll be taking time with Ryukyu then?"
"You know me too well," you sigh.
"Parents often know best," he slightly smirks. "You only did half as well as you did during the entrance exam because your pre-game knowledge and alliances carried you. Your getting the top spot was an expected result. Anything short of the top 10 would have been an embarrassment."
"To you? Or me?"
"Your actions reflect on you and you alone. I am satisfied with your performance, as I've already made clear. But being number one in the class is not enough. The playing field is going to even out quickly. You won't be able to rely on your natural charisma and quirk-enhanced intelligence forever."
"I feel like you're insulting me."
"Never," he says with a smile that does not quite meet his eyes. If Horie was here, you're sure she'd laugh at your expense.
"Sure," you roll your eyes. "Well, Himiko and I will meet your incredibly high standards."
"Yep," Himiko affirms. "I'll prove to my Mom that I know what it means to be a true hero!"
And I'll do the same for you, Dad, even if you can be a massive jerk sometimes.
"Perhaps you should save your scowling for the robots," Nezu taunts. "Even in the arts of persuasion and deception, you still have much to learn."
"Isn't that what Hero Academia is all about?" Himiko questions.
"You'll find out soon enough."
A few days later, you find yourself and Himiko standing outside Ryukyu's Hero Agency. To call it such, though, would be a misnomer in some ways. The hero office, named after Ryukyu, only employed Ryuko herself and her trainees. Well, that was unless you counted the Dragoir marketing team, who promoted your former older sister's clothing brand. You hate to admit it, but you have quite a few pieces from her apparel line, many of which weren't gifted to you from Ryuko during the holidays.
Ryuko might've annoyed me greatly for what she did to my body, but I can't deny that she makes comfortable clothing. And it's one of the few brands that accommodate those with tails like myself. Considering her lack of a tail, she likely added the option because of her time with me. Regardless, it's nice not to be confined to wearing skirts all the time.
As you enter the building, your eyes quickly adjust to the markedly Chinese architecture. The walls are bright red, interlaced by golden columns, and you have no doubt they are real. They are all decorated with paintings of Chinese dragons and guardian lions. The whole place is small, quaint, yet practical. The fact that Rumi Usagiyama, or as she goes by nowadays, Mirko, isn't part of the hero agency arguably spoke more about Ryuko being a private person than Mirko riding solo. The fact that you even got an invitation speaks volumes about Ryuko's desire to reconnect with you; that much is apparent.
Walking through the doors, U.A.'s most popular loan shark, Nejire Hado, catches Himiko off guard as she wraps Himiko in a hug.
"Pay up!" Nejire threatens with a sinister but playful smile.
"Ah!" Himiko squeaks as Nejire messes with her hair. "What are you doing?! I paid you back a month ago!"
You can't help but chuckle. "Himiko doesn't owe you anything, Nejire-Chan."
"Oops!" Nejire says, giggling. "Sorry, I forgot! It's not Senpai's fault that her Kouhais take loans they can't repay!"
"Yes, it is. Your interest rates are way too high."
"I don't think so."
"I remember when Gardner Goto wanted to buy a birthday present for his wife and asked to borrow 7,000 yen. You wanted 10,000 yen repaid by the end of the night !"
"So? I don't like Gardner Goto."
"Who doesn't like Gardner Goto!"
Himiko looks wholly lost by our argument. "Who is Gardner Goto?
"Not helping, babe!"
Nejire-chan decides to take that as a victory, giggling her head off.
But the three of us aren't the only ones in the office.
"Kazuha?"
Turning around, you come face to face with a woman you haven't seen in many years. Ryuko's hair, previously flowing down to her butt like Rumi's, has been cut all the way down to her chin. Instead of a long fringe, she now obscures her right eye with a headband resembling a dragon claw with dragon wing accessories. Her hero costume resembles the design of the office itself: a dark red, traditional qipao with a pale green scale trim around her shoulders with yellow claw patterns, which have become her signature of sorts. The costume is complete with knee-high boots and long white gloves protruding to nearly her shoulders. It's elegant, matching the level of maturity that Ryuko is known for.
You can't deny seeing her again is nostalgic.
"You've… gotten so big," Ryuko comments awkwardly.
"Yeah," you rub your arm. "It's been years ."
"Can I… get a hug?" she begs.
"Sure."
The contact doesn't last long. You both damaged your relationship a long time ago. But that doesn't mean this isn't an opportunity to fix things, to get your older sister back — your first mentor.
"I've missed you," Ryuko admits, breaking the embrace.
"I know."
The lack of obvious reciprocation cuts Ryuko deep; it's apparent on her face. You feel a compulsion to fix that.
"But I think I feel the same. I just… need time. This… whatever it is… isn't Yu versus you anymore."
"It never was," Ryuko insists.
"You don't call what happened in the hospital room all those years ago a pissing match?"
"We're heroes. We're better than that."
"Then you don't know Yu," you snark.
"Maybe I don't. Would you like to tell me about Yu while we train?"
"I'd rather talk about us."
"We can do that," Ryuko beams. "Your father gave me an updated list of your quirks and capabilities. I've used that to prepare your training regime. When I'm done with you, you'll never get tripped up by your tail or wings again."
"Sounds good, I can't wait to get started."
Nejire-chan blinks. "What do you mean by 'quirks?'"
Himiko gives Nejire a toothy grin. "We'd tell you, but that means we'd have to kill you… or at least your wallet."
"Now I have to know," Nejire cries. "Name your price, you she-devil."
"No."
"No, what?"
"No interest from the Bank of Hado for the rest of Kazuha and I's lives."
"That's not fair!"
"Life's not fair," you chuckle.
Even Ryuko couldn't keep from smiling. "Remind me to take loans out in your name from now on, Kaz."
"Will do."
"Come on, Boss!" Nejire continues to pout.
"Why do you have loans from Nejire?" Himiko wonders.
"She thinks I owe her interest on her paycheck," Ryuko clarifies.
"Time is money," Nejire crosses her arms.
"Not 1,000 yen a minute!"
Himiko tilts her head. "We get paid?"
"I do," Nejire brags. "And so do you!"
"This is the first time I've heard of it," you bring up. "What's the pay?"
"Promotion!"
…
"Okay, so you're just insulting us," you groan. "Do you expect us to pay interest on that, too?"
"Absolutely," Nejire declares.
"How about we call this a truce and get to training?"
"Deal," Nejire shakes your hand before heading to the door. "I'm going out on patrol. Try not to die."
"We've trained with Star and Stripe. I don't think Ryuko's training could be any worse than that."
"You haven't done drills with Ryukyu," the loan shark warns.
"What are you talking about? Of course, I have."
"No, you were taught by Ryuko, not Ryukyu."
…
Ryukyu smiles sinisterly; she can't wait to get started.
Ah.
Well, at least the next month will be productive.
You're nearing the end of your internship when you find yourself back at the airport, ready to pick up Rae. The last few weeks of intensive training were, as Nejire-chan advertised, hard. While you did hope to do far better with flight, you can't deny that Ryuko's kept her promise. Not only are your wings and tail no longer a constant obstacle, but the physical conditioning has affected your strength and constitution. When combined with your efforts to increase your general dexterity, your greatest weakness as a hero candidate, since the entrance exam, you feel much more physically well-rounded than before.
The only thing better than the training is rebuilding your bond with Ryuko. Be it going out for ice cream or merely going through the exercise routine she prepared, you're getting closer and closer to Ryuko. You are disappointed when she's called away to take care of her hero work that you aren't legally allowed to participate in yet. You don't want to admit it, but you're hoping she calls you and Himiko back for future internship opportunities… and just to hang out.
If only Nejire-chan hadn't tried to get me in debt to her daily. She thinks she can use it as leverage. I'm not stupid. She might trick Himiko, but she'll never get me.
While today might be a day off, you wouldn't quite call it a free one, either. You were shocked when your father told you Rae had applied for the general course. Rae still had some aspirations of becoming a hero; you know that. You didn't expect her to upend her life back in America to follow you out here. You have so many questions, and you can't wait to have Rae answer them.
"Oh," Pony points out. "There's Rae!"
…
"I think?"
The woman before you is so eerily familiar yet different from the Rae you had known the year before. The Rae you knew from high school was incredibly pale and bookish with a typical goth aesthetic, often dressed in blacks and dark purples, matching her violet hair.
This Rae was so similar, yet in other ways, the opposite. This Rae is undeniably a white goth, and if she hadn't developed a sharp tan from all her time traveling the world, you'd have thought you were looking at a ghost. Her glasses were gone, presumably traded out for contacts. Her hair, previously maintained in a blunt-cut bob, now was far more wild and freeing, highlighting Rae's natural beauty. There is no doubt that Rae had undergone an extreme makeover that left her borderline preppy. It is honestly terrifying.
"Kon'nichiwa, Kaz," Rae hugs you. "Glad to be here in Japan!"
"You sound like Pony," you smirk.
"How have you been, girl?" Rae pokes and prods. "You and Himiko are still going strong?"
"Did you have any doubts?" you raise your eyebrows.
"Nope, but I just had to be a bitch like that."
"This is what I sound like?" Pony wonders.
"I don't think so," Himiko mutters. "But Kazuha is an expert on stuff like this, so probably."
Pony hangs her head low.
"I'm just saying I don't think I've ever seen you so upbeat, Rae. You're like an entirely different person now. Did taking a few months' sabbatical change you that much?"
"I've been on a spiritual journey," Rae clarifies. "Went to some Buddhist temples to master the art of meditation, explored other cultures I've never been exposed to before, and just looked at my life and decided the person I wanted to be. To be a good hero, I needed to get in tune with my emotions to improve my composure, deal with civilians, and improve my quirk. I mean, my quirk thrives off my state of mind."
"You're just a lot less reserved now," you note.
"Nah, running out of my social battery takes much longer now. It's not like I still don't love my books. Every night, if I'm not reading some sort of book or fanfiction, I won't get to sleep."
"Fanfiction?" Himiko questions.
"Totally," Rae says. "I mean, when you can't get enough of something, you might as well turn to the fans! I've even started a few myself during the break! Do you want to see them?"
"Maybe later," Pony smiles. "We have to get you settled in at the dorms first."
"Right," Rae groans. "I have to stay in the sucky general student dorms. So lame! And I have to room with some random chick I've never met before?"
"I can't precisely pull strings to get you into the hero course dorms early," you explain. "You'll have to wait for a chance at the Sports Festival."
"And I'll win it; I'm basically a year older than everyone else," Rae brags.
"We were only placed in the Junior class in the U.S. because Japan only has three years of high school. You're not that much older than us. Besides, is that really something you want to brag about? Being the oldest yet still having to earn your spot through the back door?"
"Well, when you put it like that…."
"Maybe we can room together?" Pony suggests.
"You'd give up your privacy for me?" Rae questions. "Thanks, Pony. It's way better than putting up with that Mei Hatsume girl from the support course. She could only talk about her kids during our video call. Doesn't she have anything better to do than bring up her babies? Baby this, baby that? The only babe I want right now is a man!"
"Cheers to that," you crack a smile. "Well, we're on our lunch break. Ryuko expects us back in an hour."
"Aww, and here I thought I'd get special treatment," Rae pouts.
"Well, how about you get settled in and sleep off the jet lag, and we'll party later tonight?"
"Sounds good to me," Himiko chirps in.
"Ditto," Rae concurs. "What are we dilly-dallying around for? Move it, girls!"
As Rae takes the lead, confidence in the swing of her hips as she walks that you know was never there before, you have to wonder just how much of an impact this world tour had on Rae. You at least take solace in that while she may be different from the friend you knew a few months ago, she's still your friend.
The more things change, the more things stay the same.
"You're rigging the classes in my favor?!"
You can't believe what you are hearing out of your father's mouth as he turns his muzzle up at you.
"On the contrary," Nezu disputes. "A variety of factors often decides class selection, like what students will mesh with particular teachers, balancing the strengths and weaknesses of a class, quirk affinity, and pre-established friendships. But this year is tougher than normal."
"How so?" you interrogate.
"Well, for starters, we're debating moving to a three-class model rather than a two-class model."
"Why?"
"This year, we've decided to accept forty-two students into our ranks. Generally, classes have been no more than twenty in size because we want the teachers to be able to have one-on-one time with each of their students. While twenty-one students are still manageable since we're accepting some new teachers into the faculty, it could be a fun experiment, at least in the first semester."
"And?"
"We believe that the bigger the class, the harder it is for everyone to get to know each other. Initially, a more intimate class size could make establishing lasting friendships in such a tight-knit community easier."
"Okay, but why are you involving me in the decisions?"
"It is no secret that I would like you to become my successor, just as your sister is training to be the next Recovery Girl. And that means understanding why I make the decisions I make. Besides, you will be the most affected by this."
"Meaning?"
"I've recruited All Might as a teacher," Nezu reveals.
…
"Oh shit."
"Oh shit, indeed," Nezu chuckles. "And he's not the only one we're considering from the Top 10."
You balk. "There's another?!"
"Why do you think you're in the Principal's Office during working hours?" Ryuko states, making a strong entrance and impression. "I'm considering taking up a teaching position here."
"Okay? But why?"
"Because of you," Ryuko admits. "We've done a lot over the last month, but you're not where I hoped you'd be. I worked hard to climb up the rankings, and sure, the popularity has helped make Dragoir an incredibly popular clothing line, but I didn't do this to be trendy and get brand deals. I climbed that high because I genuinely wanted to help people."
"All Might is at the end of his career," you acknowledge. "I can understand why he'd divided his attention between hero work and teaching. But you? This time is your prime, and you want to give it up for me?"
"Not only for you," Ryuko counters. "How many women are in your class, Kaz?"
"Fifteen girls to twenty-seven boys. A nearly two-to-one ratio."
"Exactly. And that figure used to be lower. So, I want to promote equality in the hero industry."
"Let me guess your idea," you deduce. "An all-female class, run by you, with the support of Nejire-chan to help mentor us further?"
"You catch on quickly," Ryuko praises you. "Though there was another alternative that Nezu has been throwing around."
"And what exactly is that?"
"A class built on merit," Nezu reveals. "Taking the top ten from the entrance exam and the four recommended students and putting them together. Those at the bottom would be with Eraserhead."
"And at risk of Aizawa's threat of expulsion," you catch on quickly. "The top students have two of the best in the business as their primary instructors."
"I believe my efforts would contribute significantly to the school in either of those scenarios," Ryuko clarifies. "Though I'm only joining the staff, as selfish as it sounds, if I'm your teacher."
"Expected," you don't deny. "But why are you talking like the other scenarios would prevent that from happening."
"Outside pressure," Nezu elaborates. "You and Young Izuku have a history together. And Endeavor has not precisely been secret about his desire to set you and his son Shoto together for a quirk marriage."
"I figured you'd catch onto that eventually," you shrug.
"No, I've known for a while," he smiles. "He did want to adopt you for that purpose."
Yuck.
"He's also been stubborn about Todoroki being in All Might's class."
"So? What has this got to do with me?"
"All Might has a particular interest in teaching Izuku. Further, Endeavor wants you close to his son, and All Might also wants to keep a close eye on you due to your birth parentage. Three forces that want you in All Might's class."
"And you can't show favoritism to one class by having both All Might and Big Sister in it if we aren't dividing it by class rank," you conclude. "Though, what do you mean about parentage? You don't talk about them often."
"It's not a concern right now," Nezu brushes aside. "But yes. Those are Ryuko's terms for being a full-time teacher. And since she hasn't signed the paperwork yet, we have tons of freedom."
"Well, at least this can't get worse," you sigh.
"It will if you say stuff like that," Ryuko comments, her face lit up in a smile, still riding the high of you calling her your Big Sister again.
"And unfortunately, it does," Nezu lements for your sake. "Vlad King believes he would be a powerful homeroom candidate for Himiko because Transform is a quirk that uses blood. Meanwhile, Cathy would love her daughter to be instructed by the person who inspired her to become a hero."
"All Might."
Nuzu nods, causing you to groan.
"Pressure on both fronts," you state the obvious. "The staff can't help but try and influence the outcome. And now it feels like they're conspiring to keep Himiko and me apart."
"We have several options. Do you even think it's best for Himiko's growth as a hero to be with you?" your father asks. "The two of you have done everything together for years. And while that's fine as a couple, will that work in the real world? Do you plan to be part of a duo or a team? The classes represent an opportunity for something different."
"Himiko will determine whether I had a hand separating us, Dad. She's not an idiot. And she's my life partner. I promised we'd always be together. And she's spent so much of her growth by my side. I don't know how she will do without me there; she's only a hero because of Cathy and me. Himiko needs me."
"And that's just considering Himiko. We have to place not any of the other forty students while keeping so many elements in mind. It's a juggling act."
"This is why so many schools make this stuff random," Ryuko rolls her eyes. "Though I guess I am talking to two people with an intelligence-enhancing quirk. To the both of you, this seems like a fun puzzle rather than a headache."
"No," Nezu corrects. "It's still a headache. But luckily for Kazuha, I've made this simple. Should you decide to build a class by hand, I've laid the groundwork by creating scouting reports. I've considered the general quality and potential of the candidates out of five stars. You'll need to use those reports if you don't pick the classes I've already generated."
"Alright then," you mutter, grabbing the documents. "Let's see what I have here."
Plan A: The All-Girls Class
Homeroom Teacher = Midnight (Nemuri Kayama)
Heroics Teacher = Ryukyu (Ryuko Tatsuma)
To promote feminism and gender equality in the heroism industry, we are considering placing all of our female hero applicants into the same class. Based on studies done on all-female private schools, this could potentially be an incredibly inspirational environment that could help develop leadership skills and other traits needed for strong heroes. We further believe this could create a tight-knit community, making it far easier for you to get the quirks of the female students at the U.A. while continuing your tutelage under Ryukyu. Do you believe this purposeful separation will be helpful, or will you reject the idea?
Plan B: The Meritocracy Class
Homeroom Teacher = Ryukyu (Ryuko Tatsuma)
Heroics Teacher = All Might (Toshinori Yagi)
This class comprises the top ten from the entrance exam and the four recommended students. Generally, we believe that putting the top students together with the best teachers while being blatant about it could lower the blowback you could otherwise receive for an imbalanced class. Creating tiers could motivate people to be better with an inherent sense of competition. Those at the highest risk of being expelled or dropping out would also be placed together, to keep a closer eye on them, though the students that end up in the class might naturally dislike you, with others in the middle class trying to steal your spot. This also lets you get close to those with the strongest quirks, meaning you might have better odds of copying the most substantial quirks. If you believe an atmosphere like this could help you, don't hesitate to pick it.
Plan C: Custom Class
Homeroom Teacher = Eraserhead (Shoto Aizawa)
Heroics Teacher = All Might (Toshinori Yagi)
To the other students, they will think this is random. But if you spend more than the allotted stars, then it could make others suspicious. The more stars you spend over the 'max,' the more students will be suspicious of you. Those suspicious of you will be very difficult to win over later.
In a 14-person class, you will have a greater chance of getting to know those in your class. They will be a tighter-knit group, and you'll be friends should you choose to be.
In a 21-person class, you won't be able to get to know everyone. People will get less focused one-on-one training with their teachers. Additionally, if you don't balance your time, people are far more likely to feel neglected, meaning you could rub your classmates the wrong way.
Name: Izuku Midoriya
Rating: N/A
Quirk: Superpower (Izuku's Quirk allows him to stockpile an enormous amount of raw power, significantly enhancing his physical abilities to various boundless levels, giving him insane strength, speed, stamina, agility, and durability at the cost of currently tearing his body to shreds upon use.)
Personality: Izuku is a very timid, reserved, and polite boy. He's diligent and strong-willed, incredibly enthusiastic about topics related to heroes, as seen in his hero analysis, which is his only passion. Izuku is caring and emotional, never hesitating to help or rescue someone in danger, be it in a crisis or showing empathy in everyday problems. He has the character of a hero; that much is certain.
Analysis: He is a reliable hero candidate with endless amounts of potential. Due to your prior history with Izuku, it may be easier to bring it out than others. However, while you can help him grow, getting a copy of Superpower could prove impossible. Izuku is someone you take in not because he'll help you get stronger but because you want him to become the best version of himself.
Name: Shoto Todoroki
Rating: N/A
Quirk: Half-Cold, Half-Hot (Shoto's Quirk allows him to generate ice from the right side of his body and flames from his left side.)
Personality: Shoto is cold and aloof, much like half his quirk. Focused and unemotional, Shoto prefers to keep to himself instead of hanging out with others. Combined with his arrogant behavior, he sometimes acts without thinking of others and is arguably a lone wolf.
Analysis: In many ways, he is the opposite of Izuku. While Izuku will be easy to befriend, it will take a great deal of effort for you to break through Todoroki's walls. However, should you do so, what awaits you is a powerful friend and one whose quirk has a great deal of potential. Yet getting close to Shoto means having to deal with his father, Endeavor, and could put additional pressure on you and create a prominent strain in your relationship.
Name: Himiko Bate
Rating: 5/5 Stars (two classes) or N/A (three classes)
Quirk: Transformation Orders (Like New Order, Himiko can set a rule on her surroundings after touching the target and calling out their name, allowing her to manipulate and bestow new properties on them and the world around them. This quirk has fused with Transform, enabling Himiko to transform into another person or animal's appearance, now taking on their properties without needing a blood transfusion. Himiko can only use her third order exclusively for transformations, and she still must have consumed the creature's blood once to reach her full potential.)
Personality: She is your girlfriend. You should know her personality better than me. Since childhood, you've helped her become far better at dealing with social situations and a happier person. In exchange, she is a little dependent on you but, in turn, fiercely loyal.
Analysis: Keeping Himiko closer to you will give you a firmer grip on her continued development. However, the lack of physical separation between you and Himiko's affection could cause her to further depend on you. Maybe that isn't bad, considering Himiko's volatile nature and overwhelming strength. But her classmates could have just as massive an impact on her development as you, and while you can decide if she's in your class and who is not, I can't promise you certain people will be in her homeroom. You'd also be breaking a promise to her by putting her in a separate class. Though, maybe it'll stop you two from making out in class during downtimes.
Name: Katsuki Bakugo
Rating: 5/5 Stars
Quirk: Explosion (Katsuki's Quirk allows him to secrete nitroglycerin-like sweat from the palms of his hands and ignite it on command, allowing him to create strong explosions.)
Personality: Katsuki is crude, arrogant, short-tempered, and aggressive. He comes off as incredibly unheroic. Yet he remains determined, thirsty for victory, and has the skill to back up his boasting. If not for his potential, our staff would not tolerate his history of bullying and other self-absorbed behaviors. He was not invited to U.A. to become a hero but to prevent him from becoming a villain.
Analysis: Arguably the strongest hero candidate in raw strength, even more than the recommended students. If not for Bakugo's personality, he'd be the complete package. And if you tried to take him in an honest fight at your current skill level, he'd straight up kick your ass. He could teach you a lot about combat but could be a horrible influence on anyone you place him in a class with. He needs a strong mentor and support group or will be susceptible to falling to the dark side. It just depends on if you want to be that person for him. The reward of his quirk may very well be worth it.
Name: Setsuna Tokage
Rating: 5/5 Stars
Quirk: Lizard Tail Splitter (Setsuna's Quirk allows her to split her body into as many as 50 pieces. She can remotely make every one of these pieces move freely and levitate through the air at high speeds. Setsuna's pieces can also regenerate if destroyed or otherwise become unusable.)
Personality: Setsuna is chatty, confident, extraordinarily provocative, and talkative. Setsuna has a great aptitude for leadership and cooperation and is careful, concerned, and attentive. While she has shown she can underestimate others, Setsuna is trustworthy and responsible, showing no doubt or hesitation. She was a recommended student, and her character is a big part of that. I say that, but it always seems like she has an angle. She's perfect… too perfect.
Analysis: There's a lot to say about Setsuna. She's undoubtedly a top hero in the making, even if she has a personal agenda with every action she takes. Setsuna, if you're willing to invest the time, could be an invaluable asset to you personally, but she's also not the type of person you want to piss off. She's also quite the gossip, so she could be a good source of information and privy to giving up your secrets in exchange. If you're okay with having an information broker around, you could learn a lot from her… even if I disapprove of her flirting with everything that moves.
Name: Momo Yaoyorozu
Rating: 5/5 Stars
Quirk: Creation (Momo's Quirk allows her to create any non-living material/object from her exposed skin by transforming the molecular structure of her fat cells. To make something, she needs to understand the molecular structure of the material/object.)
Personality: Momo is a very prudent, dedicated, natural leader. She is levelheaded, very kind, polite, and relatively reserved. Yet she can be blunt with her comments about people's mistakes and miscalculations, tending to be very direct and wishing to help her peers improve. Momo typically takes adverse situations in stride and is characterized by others as a borderline exhibitionist. Ironically, our scouting reports show she is relatively innocent and sensitive to vulgarity and rude mannerisms. She is confident in herself and her training, specifically her genius-level intelligence, which outright surpasses yours, even with a quirk boosting it. Momo becomes upbeat and eager when excited about spending time with her friends or helping them. She also tends to reveal how rich she is accidentally, yet most people understand she doesn't do this out of arrogance or malice.
Analysis: Momo is a very inoffensive choice of a friend. She's generally a good person, and her family's money could be an excellent resource for herself and those she surrounds herself with. While her quirk is rather complicated, there's a lot of potential for her as a support hero. But she's not a fighter in a traditional sense. She'll need a team to achieve success. Will you want her for yours?
Name: Itsuka Kendo
Rating: 5/5 Stars
Quirk: Big Fist (Itsuka's Quirk allows her to enlarge her hands to a gigantic size, increasing her striking power and gripping capabilities.)
Personality: Itsuka is a spirited girl who is thoughtful of others and does not hesitate to criticize her friends if she feels their actions are incorrect. She is incredibly friendly, and back in high school, her classmates described her as their big sister. Extremely dependable and dedicated, Itsuka's cooperative nature, even willing to pass on incredible opportunities if she feels others earned it, has given her the reputation of a very trustworthy person. Combined with her analytical nature and desire to become better for the people around her, she is a model hero.
Analysis: Everything I said for Momo applies to Kendo. She's an inoffensive and dependable person. She could influence Himiko excellently if they're in the same class. But she could also be the friend you need; Kendo will find a way to fit into any group or setting she needs to improve those around her. While she has a fundamental strength-increasing quirk, it could combine well with others while being relatively simple, even if Kendo has put years into trying to enhance it. That makes her a prime candidate for you to copy for possibly low effort. If there's someone you want on your team, it's Kendo.
Name: Juzo Honenuki
Rating: 5/5
Quirk: Softening (Juzo's Quirk allows him to soften any non-living thing he touches. For example, he can soften the ground to make it similar to quicksand, hindering movements and mobility. If Juzo makes contact again, he can undo the effect. He is also capable of swimming through softened material.)
Personality: Juzo hates losing, is incredibly competitive, and is stubborn. Like Kendo, he does not like being handed a victory he feels he didn't earn. He generally carries himself calmly and likes getting straight to the point. He'll tell someone how he feels about them right to their face rather than behind their back.
Analysis: Juzo is incredibly competent, hence his recommended student status. You cannot go wrong with having him around, especially if you want to maintain a calm atmosphere. His quirk could have a lot of applications. And if you want a friendly rival, you'll find few with drive like Juzo. Generally, Juzo just has little downsides, with few chinks in the armor. A strong quirk with few personality conflicts. So long as you can look past the physical mutations that many say make him look intimidating. But considering your status, I doubt that will be a problem. It might even be something to bond over.
Name: Yosetsu Awase
Rating: 4/5 Stars
Quirk: Weld (Yosetsu can merge organic and inorganic objects on a subatomic level.)
Personality: An apprehensive young man, he tends to be generally nervous around others and chooses to be rather curt with his words. Whatever words he does say will be casual and often crass. However, in more severe cases, he'll be able to put himself in harm's way to protect the innocents despite his more nervous disposition. He won't hesitate to put himself in danger to put a plan in place.
Analysis: Despite his general nerves, he is on his way to being an exceptional hero if we can properly teach him how to channel his anxiety. He's a follower more than a leader, perfect for your more dominating personality. I think being someone with natural confidence will help him mellow out easier. Granted, he is very confident in himself and his abilities, so doing so may take some work.
Name: Fumikage Tokoyami
Rating: 4/5 Stars
Quirk: Dark Shadow (Fumikage's Quirk allows him to manifest a sentient shadow monster from his body that he can materialize and contract freely. The shadow entity's personality, strength, defense, and control depend on the lack of light.)
Personality: Fumikage is reserved, serious, and focused, albeit noble and valiant. Fumikage is a self-titled 'creature of the dark' and employs archaic-sounding speeches that paint him slightly creepy or dramatic. Fumikage also possesses incredible humility, aware of his limits and understanding when it's time to back down.
Analysis: Despite the practical exams taking place mid-day, Tokoyami placed 12th overall. While his written exams were in the bottom half, they weren't too far below the curve for passing students. Tokoyami's problem is inconsistency and a lack of control. I wonder if you could deduce a way for him to grasp the reins of Dark Shadow.
Name: Mezo Shoji
Rating: 4/5 Stars
Quirk: Dupli-Arms (Mezo's quirk forms multiple tentacles, such as his arms, the tips of which can form replications of any part of his body, including his eyes, mouth, hands, etc.)
Personality: A selfless and genial man, he is not one to take offense from the unintentional barb against his appearance. As a fierce protector of his friends, he's a mature man with a keen intellect, preventing him from making shortsighted judgment errs in the moment. Shoji is minimalistic, only taking what he absolutely needs to live from day to day.
Analysis: Shoji has been bullied in the past for his monstrous appearance, and instead of letting that turn him into a monster, he wants to change the world for a better tomorrow. His desire to be a hero is to be a positive role model. He wants to speak out against the prejudices against heteromorphs and strive for a new order, the right way. He is, perhaps, the one person in this entire batch of incoming first-year students who knows precisely how you feel, considering your quote-on-quote 'late blooming' after taking Ryuku's quirk. I feel like the two of you will be able to get along splendidly, having your intimidating appearance be met with acceptance and not fear. It doesn't hurt that his quirk would greater enhance your overall capabilities. A regenerative quirk with a wide range of offensive, defensive, and support abilities is difficult to find.
Name: Ibara Shiozaki
Rating: 4/5 Stars
Quirk: Vines (She has prehensile vines that grow from her head, capable of providing adequate defense, an offensive whip, and, most impressively, trapping multiple enemies.)
Personality: Ibara is a humble woman who values the virtues of humility, charity, and kindness. She is one of the most compassionate applicants we have on file. That is not without her flaws, though. She is quick to judge and scathing. She holds herself to high standards and expects those around her to do the same, looking down on "sinful" personality traits. This moral code also includes deceitful trickery, preferring to face the enemy head-on.
Analysis: I'll be blunt: Ibara was raised Catholic and still holds certain prejudices, primarily against same-sex relationships. Your initial meeting with her will not be met with acceptance. Part of our goal in her development as a hero is to teach her tolerance and the benefits of fighting 'dirty.' Picking her in your class will be an exercise in patience and understanding. You will encounter people like Ibara as you become more publicized in the media. It might be wise to learn how to deal with them in a more controlled setting and how to 'kill them with kindness,' as they say. Or, if you prefer just to punch her in the face, then there will be plenty of sparring opportunities by having her in your class. However, I'd be careful about having Himiko in her class without you. While she could teach Himiko the importance of morals, it could also strain your relationship.
Name: Nirengeki Shoda
Rating: 4/5 Stars
Quirk: Twin Impact (Nirengeki's Quirk allows him to strike a target and then remotely make a point of contact and experience a second impact. The second impact is several times stronger than the initial blow.)
Personality: Nirengeki is humble and will not take credit for something he feels he hasn't earned through his strength. His humility and his reputation for being collaborative make him a solid addition to any team. His peers describe him as incredibly conscientious and reliable. He does not seem to hold envy in his heart and is easily forgiving—the heart of the class.
Analysis: Nirengeki can step into a leadership role if necessary but is willing to be a more passive player. Any class he finds himself in will generally be more naturally cooperative, which could be a benefit. Alternatively, his quirk is unique among strength enhancers, requiring finesse to use effectively. It may be a good addition to your repertoire if you're willing to put in the work. He's an inoffensive choice, though he's not quite as impressive as the applicants ranked higher than him.
Name: Tenya Iida
Rating: 4/5 Stars
Quirk: Engine (Tenya's Quirk gives him car-like engines in each of his calves, giving him incredible running speed and extreme kicking power.)
Personality: While Tenya can come off as intimidating and unfriendly, he is straightforward, earnest, intelligent, sophisticated, disciplined, and noble, although a bit clueless about personal interactions due to his elite upbringing. He can be incredibly hyperactive, taking things at face value and jumping to conclusions quickly. Tenya is very humble, willing to admit to his mistakes, apologize for rude behavior, and improve in areas he lacks. He's a hard worker, trying to meet the expectations of the adults he looks up to. Still, I'm sure many of your peers will, regardless, say he's got a stick up his derriere.
Analysis: As you saw during the entrance exam, it is very easy to get off on the wrong foot with Tenya Iida, but he does mean well. Despite a poor first impression, I believe you could turn it around. The boy needs some humble pie before becoming an exceptional hero, and there is little doubt that he is the fastest student in your year. Find him obnoxious or not, Tenya is a moral compass. If he can find a good group of people, I'm sure we'll all see his full potential. However, considering their natures, I'm curious about his influence on Himiko if left in the same class.
Name: Enjiro Kirishima
Rating: 4/5 Stars
Quirk: Hardening (Eijiro's Quirk gives him the power to harden and sharpen any or all parts of his body, causing his flesh to become jagged and rock-like.)
Personality: Eijiro is a boisterous and outgoing guy obsessed with the ideals of manliness, arguably to the point of borderline toxic masculinity. Eijiro is determined and selfless, bravely putting the safety of others before himself, and admires those same traits in others. Eijiro is very honest and kind-hearted, having a straightforward way of thinking and following a specific code of chivalry that motivates him to live without regret. Eijiro has a strong sense of responsibility, sometimes being very hard on himself for any adverse outcomes that befall him. He thinks of his quirk as not good enough due to its relative lack of flashiness, so he may have a problem with self-esteem, hence overcompensating for it. But when the cards are down, he has the potential to uncover an indomitable will.
Analysis: While his self-esteem issues could prove a problem in trying to copy his quirk, Enjiro has the potential to be highly capable despite his lower writing scores being underwhelming compared to his performance in the practical exam. There are certainly character flaws that Enjiro still needs to overcome, especially with him recently reinventing himself, but those are minimal in contrast to the heroic character he shows. Unlike some others, he'll need polishing, but I'm positive it is polishing that you or the teachers could do. Just expect him to be instilling the ideas of manliness in Himiko if he's allowed to be in her class.
Tetsutetsu Tetsutesu
Rating: 4/5 Stars
Quirk: Steel (Tesutesu's Quirk gives him the power to turn himself into steel, using the iron in his blood.)
Personality: Tesutesu is a boisterous and outgoing guy obsessed with the ideals of manliness, arguably to the point of borderline toxic masculinity. He is confident, stubborn, and straightforward in his motivations and actions. Tesutesu is determined and selfless, bravely putting the safety of others before himself, and admires those same traits in others. Tesutesu is very honest and kind-hearted, having a straightforward way of thinking and following a specific code of chivalry that motivates him to live without regret. Tesutesu has a strong sense of responsibility, sometimes being very hard on himself for any adverse outcomes. He tends to be very vocal about his intentions and has a one-track mind, often looking for the simplest solution to problems to solve them most directly. Despite this, he is pretty perceptive, and when the cards are down, you'll uncover an indomitable will within him.
Analysis: As is readily apparent, Tetsutetsu and Kirishima are mirrors of one another. The main difference between them is exactly how their quirks work. While Kirishima did better in the practical exams, Tetsutetsu did better in the written exam. Their similarities might make them a strong combo to put in the same class, or perhaps you'll decide to diversify the classes by separating them. While it may be easier to get Tetsutetsu's quirk than Kirishima's, I believe that at their full potential, Kirishima and his quirk will always outshine Tetsutetsu. Risk vs reward, assuming you don't decide to take both or neither.
Name: Sen Kaibara
Rating: 4/5 Stars
Quirk: Gyrate (Sen's Quirk allows him to rotate any body part at high speed like a drill. He can significantly enhance his hand-to-hand combat skills using this heavy rotation to augment his physical strikes.)
Personality: Sen is a mature, levelheaded young man who can stay calm and composed. While generally solemn and overly serious, he sometimes lets his guard down, showing off a more jovial side. Otherwise, he can be pretty belligerent toward the antics of those he considers friends, as they can harm his image, which he's worked hard to maintain.
Analysis: While Sen can be incredibly underwhelming at first glance, he is a true jack of all trades and master of none. He was in the upper half of the written and practical exams but not necessarily at the top of the curve. Despite this, when averaging the scores, he is well above most of his peers, comparable to many top contenders. He's got a solid quirk that, in capable hands, could be pretty powerful, too. Don't sleep on Sen Kaibara, or you just might regret it.
Name: Mina Ashido
Rating: 3/5 Stars
Quirk: Acid (Mina's Quirk allows her to produce acid from her body with the ability to alter the solubility and viscosity of the acid as she wishes.)
Personality: A quite spunky girl, Mina is a seemingly fearless individual who avoids the pitfall of arrogance that many up-and-coming heroes exhibit by being an easygoing, genial woman. A bundle of energy that can't seem to sit still, she's a romantic at heart and a gossip hound, trying to ship couples together whether or not they even have any compatibility. However, she has significant trouble studying, being the second lowest applicant on the written portion to be accepted into Yuuei.
Analysis: Put her in your class, and I do not doubt that she'll do her best to get the scoop on everything about your relationship with Himiko, which will probably make her one of the fastest friendships you can nurture. Even more so given that she shares a common history with you, as you were both the resident presidents of the unofficial anti-bullying club. However, she differs in that you were more dogmatic in your approach, while Mina befriended them and convinced them to turn over a new leaf. I'm going to be honest with you. I do have some fears here. When I look at Mina, I see a younger version of Yui in many aspects. If you have her in your class, please don't let her go down the same path. Help her with her studies, which she desperately needs.
Name: Tsuyu Asui
Rating: 3/5 Stars
Quirk: Frog (Frog-Woman, Frog-Woman, does whatever a froggy can ~)
Personality: Tsuyu is straightforward and aloof, speaking bluntly from her mind and freely expressing what she thinks about others. She was forced to raise her younger siblings and thus developed into a mature young woman, calm and collected. Her friends think of her as a perfect pillar of emotional support, which seems to be an apt description.
Analysis: She is a dependable friend and ally. She knows how to take care of her friends. While her quirk isn't the strongest, Tsuyu is in the upper half in terms of intelligence, being an honor student since middle school. Ryuko and the Oki Mariner team have already shown interest in Tsuyu, believing she has potential. Do you?
Name: Ochaco Urakaka
Rating: 3/5 Stars
Quirk: Zero Gravity ( Ochaco's Quirk gives her the power to nullify the effects of gravity on solid targets (living and nonliving) by touching them with the pads on her fingertips, causing them to become weightless and float.)
Personality: Ochaco has been described as "the most laid-back girl" in class during high school due to her bubbly yet airheaded personality at times. She is often incredibly blunt. Ochaco is a warm, cute, lively individual who thinks about everything positively, though she is objective enough to see flaws and virtues. She is generally empathetic and friendly to those she meets, and she will try to help or defend anyone who is kind to her or needs assistance. Ochaco is also very good at reading people. Despite her cheery and sometimes ditzy demeanor, Ochaco can take on an extremely determined, focused, and somewhat intimidating attitude when the situation demands it. Her family means a lot to her, and while she often loses her composure when exposed to the lap of luxury, she will do anything in her power to provide for them. While she is shown to be surprisingly strategic, she isn't above making some impulsive or reckless decisions. When it comes to her chosen path as a Hero, Ochaco is unwavering and dislikes being underestimated, even in the face of an overwhelming force.
Analysis: You've already become acquainted with Ochaco. Her quirk forces her into a capacity as a rescue hero rather than a less specialized role. However, it's clear that she and Izuku have gotten close since he saved her, meeting several times in the last few months. While it's unclear if their reactions have romantic undertones, she does matter greatly to him. Putting Ochaco in his class, or purposefully keeping her out of it, can influence her development as a hero and person. She and Himiko have also been talking, so the same applies to her. Lastly, Ochaco's quirk may help you fly should you convince her to let you copy it, but it depends on what type of hero you want to be and how useful it may be otherwise.
Name: Neito Monoma
Rating: 3/5 Stars
Quirk: Copy (Neito's Quirk allows him to duplicate and use another person's Quirk after physical contact with the user. He can hold four Quirks simultaneously and maintain copied powers for ten minutes. After the time limit runs out, Neito loses the copied Quirk until he again touches the original user.)
Personality: Neito sees the world differently and divides society into two parts. He thinks that people who have Quirks fit for heroism are "main characters" and people who don't have these kinds of Quirks are "side characters." He can be mocking, loud, and sarcastic to those he dislikes or considers side characters, taking any opportunity to boast, fueled by his inferiority complex. He is quite respectful to those who are the main characters, treating them with a calm demeanor and showcasing his potential for kindness. Even with his impressive tactical and analytical skills, one of his understated weaknesses is his poor aptitude for schoolwork and studying (for example, barely passing the written exam).
Analysis: Because both of you have copy-type quirks and yours are objectively better than his at first glance, you two are not only destined to be rivals, but you're almost certainly going to be a 'side character' to him if for nothing other than pure spite. We cannot fathom what would happen if you copied his quirk, but good luck trying to do the near impossible. You'll have even less chance to do so if he's in a different class, as that would only heighten the rivalry beyond the potential for a healthy friendship. Monoma is flawed, but he still does have the potential to be a great hero one day. However, he can be incredibly influential, so be considerate of making an enemy of him or making him too suspicious.
Name: Togaru Kamakiri
Rating: 3/5 Stars
Quirk: Sharpness (Togaru's Quirk allows him to produce large blades from any part of his body. These blades are sharp, strong enough to cut through pipes made of steel and iron, and durable enough to withstand a point-blank explosion.)
Personality: Togaru is hot-blooded and generally aggressive, especially in the heat of battle, bloodthirsty to tear his opponents to shreds. He's a very competitive person, and we are genuinely afraid he might go too far and kill a person one of these days.
Analysis: While Togaru is in desperate need of a chill pill and therapy, we cannot deny that his offensive capabilities are above average among his peers, and his grades are somewhat respectable, if middling, despite being the definition of a hero jock. If you ever need a sparring partner, you will never find another willing to do it at any time, even in the middle of the night. Yet, also expect him to come to you in the middle of the night. His quirk is simple, but he may be a solid offensive and defensive option.
Name: Jurota Shishida
Rating: 3/5 Stars
Qurik: Beast (Jurota's Quirk allows him to transform into a large, monstrous beast-man. This form drastically augments his strength, speed, durability, and senses of hearing and smell. While he is transformed, he becomes wilder, making him reckless.)
Personality: Jurota seems to be an intellectual. He speaks relatively verbose and often addresses others by respectful titles such as 'sir' and 'miss.' This formality is because he was raised in a very well-mannered and doting family. While transformed, however, Jurota is rather boisterous and energetic, likely a side effect of his Quirk.
Analysis: Despite Jurota's quirk having a drawback that can run counter to his strongest traits, his higher-than-average intelligence, we believe that if his teachers can minimize this drawback, Jurota's natural strength can make him a very impressive pro hero upon graduation. It's also a quirk that may have some interesting effects when taken in tandem with those already in your repertoire.
Name: Mashirao Ojiro
Rating: 3/5 Stars
Quirk: Tail (... it's a tail)
Personality: None.
Analysis: Like Sen, Ojiro appears to be a jack of all trades. This quirk could also make your tail even stronger, so while being simple, it could impact you more than you expect. While he lacks something beyond being well-rounded to push him into the higher tier of students, especially with most of his strength coming from his martial arts training rather than his quirk, he lacks in weaknesses, even if his max potential is relatively low. While he will always be a master of none, he could be a fine ally.
Name: Hanta Sero
Rating: 3/5 Stars
Quirk: Tape (Hanta's Quirk is that he has tape dispenser-like organs in his elbows, from which he can shoot long cellophane tape-like strips and retract them. They appear sturdier than regular tape.)
Personality: Sero is amicable and personable, even if he can sometimes be loud and showy in being so. He's unafraid to call people out on their crazy behavior and is a very determined young man. Undoubtedly, he'd be the 'straight man' of whatever class he finds himself in.
Analysis: Sero's quirk makes him a living capture weapon. While it does have a bit more utility, there's very little that Sero could offer you that you couldn't replicate with support equipment. Still, he's a jovial personality who won't cause much trouble. And he's a very different type of hero with a different fighting style. He may be able to teach you something.
Name: Pony Tsunotori
Rating: 3/5 Stars
Quirk: Horn Cannon (Pony's Quirk gives her a pair of horns on her head. She can launch her horns as projectiles, and a new set will grow back almost immediately. There may be some hidden potential within Pony's quirk that could bring it closer to her mother's, but that remains to be seen.)
Personality: I could spend several sentences describing Pony and her development from a shy young otaku into the person she is today. However, considering that growth is directly due to your friendship with her, I'll refrain.
Analysis: Pony is excited to begin U.A. partially because she's your friend. While it was her dream to come here, being with you and Himiko has cemented it in her mind. It's clear from the entrance exam you were greatly able to improve her expected results. If you continue to work with her, like your future friends, she will grow and perhaps awaken. If she does find out about you leaving her out of your class by choice, though, it could impact your friendship, assuming you don't keep her.
Name: Yui Kodai
Rating: 2/5 Stars
Quirk: Size (Yui's quirk allows her to manipulate the size of any inanimate object. She can return them to their original size when she presses her fingertips to each other.)
Personality: A more reserved girl, Yui is not one to wear her emotions on her sleeves. Not to say that she isn't a prickly person. She's amicable, kind, and compassionate to her fellow friends. She has a habit of moaning when she is happy. However, Yui is a quiet girl who rarely expresses emotions and seldom speaks, though more by choice.
Analysis: A great friend who wouldn't cause too many problems alone. Reliable too. Honestly, if you think of her as a well-contented cat, that's ninety percent of who she is. Since you insist on keeping that thing you call Violet around… you will be thrilled with 'adopting' Yui into your friend group, should you desire. Her quirk is versatile enough, yet she is not using her abilities to their full potential besides throwing a tiny thing and making it bigger. Yes, it is an effective strategy, but maybe a strategic mind like yourself would help increase her repertoire. Otherwise, she did poorly in the practical exam, and her timid and introverted nature could make her struggle professionally. She'll need a guiding hand to survive Yuuei, be it you or other mentors, teachers included.
Name: Rikido Sato
Rating: 2/5
Quirk: Sugar Rush (Rikido's Quirk allows him to increase his strength five-fold for three minutes. To activate his Quirk, he needs to consume 10 grams of sugar. When converting sugar into strength, his cognitive functions gradually drop, making him sleepy afterward. For every additional 10 grams of sugar he ingests, he extends the time of increased strength by another three minutes.)
Personality: Rikido is incredibly passionate about cooking, specializing in sweets. He's generally the strong, silent type, spending his time either in the kitchen or training.
Analysis: While his exam scores in both the practical and written exams were commendable, he was generally in the middle of the pack for both. Additionally, while Sato has learned to use his quirk well, other strength-enhancing quirks have fewer drawbacks (Jurota Shishida is an excellent example). I'd have ranked him higher if Koji Koda, an applicant whose quirk only affects animals, hadn't scored more villain points fighting robots with his bare hands. Frankly, he'd do better as a chef than a hero. There is simply nothing notable or exemplary about him in heroics.
Name: Shihai Kuroiro
Rating: 2/5 Stars
Quirk: Black (Shihai can merge his body with anything black, such as paint, clothing, or shadows.)
Personality: Shihai keeps his cards close to his chest. He rarely expresses his emotions, and those he does show are only a part of his social performance, making himself as much akin to the stereotypical 'Goth' persona as possible. But, underneath, he is a rather cunning foe, using his quirk and abilities to ambush his targets. His tactics include as much trickery as possible. He is also a bit touch-starved, taking any compliment a woman gives him as proof that they might be in love with him, something he desperately wants. However, if he ever talked to one, he would nervously stamper.
Analysis: A simple, genuine compliment here and there, and he'll be under your thumb. His quirk is excellent for stealth and infiltration. Gathering his quirk would be child's play. However, I would be cautious about playing with his emotions. Not only would the more perceptible students catch onto what you are doing, but it could end up causing unnecessary drama. It could even hurt your reputation severely. I'd be careful with how you'll go about him.
Name: Kosei Tsuburaba
Rating: 2/5 Stars
Quirk: Solid Air (Kosei's Quirk allows him to solidify any air he breathes out and create invisible walls and/or platforms. The solidified air stays afloat in mid-air, even if someone is standing on it. The size of the wall or platform depends on his lung capacity.)
Personality: Kosei is a very enthusiastic and competitive individual who holds himself to a high standard as he tries to avoid descending to the barbaric level of his rivals. Despite this, Kosei has no problem settling for less rather than aiming for the top. He also seems to have a subtle yet rather lecherous side,
Analysis: Kosei's quirk is a slightly better version of your Shield in some aspects due to his ability to use the air as an offensive weapon or means of getting around instead. Though he often falls into the trappings of having his mind elsewhere. Particularly on mutant women like yourself, who catch his perverse attention. That's not to say he'll ever say these thoughts aloud, but sometimes it's obvious where his eyes wander. He is another person that can be manipulated relatively easily by your deft hands. At this point, I do not doubt that you can create an entire class where everyone craves your attention, but please put more thought into it than wanting to have a legion of followers.
Name: Reiko Yanagi
Rating: 2/5 Stars
Quirk: Poltergeist (Reiko's Quirk allows her to control nearby objects telekinetically. Her Quirk's weight limit is roughly the weight of the average human.)
Personality: Her high school friends often compare her to a ghost or a zombie because she comes off as emotionless. She is a huge fan of horror movies, even if she does not speak about them much due to her quiet nature. While she is timid and easily intimidated at times, when she does speak, she can be incredibly verbose, not knowing when to stop talking, a sign of less-than-satisfactory social skills.
Analysis: An inoffensive class pick, though hard to understand sometimes due to her loquaciousness. Her quirk is excellent for helping your abysmal technique and giving you the much-needed range option when it comes to fighting, even if not necessarily flashy or the strongest. Your appearance also may ironically scare her away, making it harder to get her quirk if she is not in your class (at least more than most). Perhaps you could also help her develop the necessary social skills to be a hero.
Name: Kyoka Jiro
Rating: 2/5 Stars
Quirk: Earphone Jack ( Kyoka's Quirk is that she has a pair of headphone jacks hanging from her earlobes. When the jacks are plugged into something, Kyoka can channel the sound of her heartbeat through them as a violent vibration attack. She can stretch her earlobes several meters. This Quirk also allows her to hear minuscule sounds and vibrations from her surroundings.)
Personality: Kyoka has a pragmatic, unenthusiastic, blunt, and teasing personality that is mainly shown to those she finds irritating. Kyoka has a much more sensitive side despite her cold and indifferent snarking. She is very defensive towards her friends, empathetic with others' feelings, and flustered when her talents and capabilities, particularly for music, are brought up. She loves rock music to the point where she may desire to use being a hero as a platform, much like Kinoko.
Analysis: Kyoka will make a strong scout for any team, though it is solely for her hearing that she is ranked this highly. Her personality could be offputting to those she dislikes, and we are not entirely sure as to her motivations for pursuing heroism. Perhaps you'll push her onto the right path or be able to get her out of her role primarily as a scouter. Or maybe she'll just make you love music more.
Name: Koji Koda
Rating: 2/5 Stars
Quirk: Anivoice (Koji's Quirk gives him the ability to command any creature in the animal kingdom by speaking to them. Whatever command he gives, the animal will carry it out. However, he cannot exert control if they cannot hear his command. The target must also be a real animal and not merely animal-like. Koji can also exchange information with the animals to find the locations of various people and potential enemies faster.)
Personality: Koji is timid and quiet, unlike his powerful and ferocious appearance. As such, he rarely speaks and prefers using sign language to communicate. He appears to enjoy the company of animals, even owning a small rabbit as a pet.
Analysis: In some respects, the worst of the three scouts, though, is surprisingly strong, considering his mutation. We don't know why he looks like a rock; perhaps it's something to look into. I wonder what would happen if Himiko were in the same class as him when she turned into an animal. Perhaps he'll be able to affect her in such a primal state of mind?
Name: Manga Fukidashi
Rating: 2/5 Stars
Quirk: Comic (Manga's Quirk allows him to materialize words in midair by speaking them. These words are onomatopoeia (words that describe sounds), which can manifest the effects of the phenomenon that the sound suggests. The only drawback is that overusing his Quirk can cause him to get an incredibly sore throat.)
Personality: Manga appears to be expressive and dramatic. He also has a soft spot for children and enjoys making them smile. Like his namesake, he is interested in Japanese culture and media.
Analysis: I wouldn't be surprised if your friend Pony develops a crush after spending ten minutes with him. His quirk is surprisingly powerful offensively, though it's rather one-note in terms of pure destructive power. There are better quirks that can do similar things, such as, theoretically, Jiro's. Though together, they could be a deadly combination.
Name: Kojiro Bondo
Rating: 2/5 Stars
Quirk: Cemedine (Kojiro's Quirk allows him to spray large amounts of a fast-drying glue-like liquid from the seven holes on his face. The liquid is sticky and can trap people and attach things. He can control the speed at which his adhesive dries.)
Personality: Described as a gentle giant, Kojiro is a "shrinking violet." He often stammers when speaking but can get along with many types of people, including quiet ones.
Analysis: His quirk and muscular physique make Bondo a great grappler, admittedly better than most hero candidates. While he might not talk often (probably due to his lack of a mouth), he could be a reliable friend. While you probably don't want to be shooting glue out of your head, he isn't a poor choice for your class.
Name: Hiryu Rin

Quirk: Scales (Hiryu's Quirk allows him to sprout strong, durable reptilian scales from his skin. These scales protect him like armor; he can also shoot these scales with considerable strength and speed.)
Personality: His personality is that he has no personality. His most interesting thing is that he's Chinese and proud of his heritage. There is nothing more to say.
Analysis: The only reason he's in the hero program is his impressive written scores and his being from China, assisted by our foreign exchange program. Unfortunately for him, his quirk isn't capable of taking advantage of his biggest strength, and he lacks the strength of character to use his intelligence in a leadership role. If you put him in your class, you only want his quirk. Don't you lie to me! Considering your scales, they might fuse together. Interesting thought.
Name: Kinoko Komori
Rating: 1/5 Stars
Quirk: Mushroom (Kinoko's Quirk allows her to spread various fungal spores from her body. The spores will quickly grow into full-grown mushrooms upon making contact with a solid surface. The mushrooms can develop from many surfaces, including Kinoko's surroundings, body, and opponent's body. They only last for 2-3 hours. The spores spread better in a humid environment.)
Personality: A shy, timid girl, bordering on an outright phobia of social situations. Though she wasn't always like this. In middle school, she was Ms. Popular and was the envy of all of her peers. What happened between then and now is a mystery. Her current interests are solely all things mushrooms, making mushroom puns, and studying the scientific names of all the mushrooms she can grow. Despite her social anxiety, she dreams of becoming an idol.
Analysis: She has the potential to be a fantastic hero one day, but right now? She's raising a lot of red flags for me. There is little doubt in my mind that her primary motivation for becoming a hero is so she could become an idol. Yet even if she overcame her shyness, I highly doubt she's capable of that due to her poor physical capabilities. Kinoko is disappointing me, even if her quirk could be deadly with some intuitive thinking. If only her written scores gave me confidence in her success. But if she doesn't develop as a person and improve upon her weaknesses, I believe she will be at severe risk of flunking out of the program.
Name: Denki Kaminari
Rating: 1/5 Stars
Quirk: Electrification (Denki can stockpile and release stored electricity to coat his body. He can also discharge that electricity with limited control over it. If he uses too much, then he fries his brain, leaving him in a stupified state for several minutes.)
Personality: Denki is a casual young man who is friendly, social, and energetic and enjoys hanging out with others. Denki may come off as blunt and reckless at times but is always well-meaning, though his flirtatious nature can get on the nerves of his female classmates (though at least, unlike Mineta, he respects boundaries). Denki becomes distraught when put into stressful situations, appearing spineless and incompetent to foes and allies alike, but he may overcome this with emotional support. He is a real work in progress.
Analysis: Denki is the lowest-scoring applicant on the written portion. He's also the only applicant to score negative rescue points due to his electricity accidentally taking out five people nearby. He's lucky that his electricity was so effective on our robots, or else he would've had no chance at qualifying for our hero program. His quirk also has negative drawbacks, which leave him vulnerable for many minutes after overuse. Denki will flunk if he doesn't turn things around quickly; it doesn't matter how much potential he has.
Minoru Mineta:
Rating: 1/5 Stars
Quirk: Pop Off (Minoru's Quirk allows him to produce and pluck ball-shaped objects from his head; the balls grow back as fast as they're plucked. The grapes are incredibly sticky and will stick to any surface except for himself.)
Personality: Minoru is timid but perverted to the point of infamy, which makes him unpopular with the girls and even some of the boys, who consider his interests and mannerisms depraved and rude. Minoru's interest in women is one of his motivations to become a hero, alongside general popularity. He can be hypocritical and cowardly and fails to apply himself where it counts.
Analysis: We accepted him only because if we didn't, then we were almost sure that he'd become a villain. I could talk about his positive traits, such as his relatively high intelligence compared to most of the class, rivaling your own even with the boost from High Spec, but that would be a waste of words. Let's be honest; you'll never pick him. Not unless you intentionally want to use him and bring out his worst self. But I trust you wouldn't do that. Putting him in the same class as Himiko will inevitably make her more lewd. And no, don't even think about adding Minoru for that reason, either!
Name: Yuga Aoyama
Rating: 1/5 Stars
Quirk: Naval Lazer (Yuga's Quirk allows him to shoot a powerful sparkling laser cannon from his navel. It is so powerful it can blast through two meters of solid concrete. If he fires the laser for more than 1 second at a time, he will suffer intestinal distress.)
Personality: Yuga is extremely vain and prideful, overestimating his abilities with his overly flamboyant personality. He likes being the center of attention and can be incredibly insecure when he isn't. Those insecurities run deep, and as such, his confidence is likely a facade, making him hypocritical at times. While he can be compassionate, there is a reason that many of his peers in high school found him creepy and unapproachable. While his test scores don't show it, we believe he may be more cunning than he lets on, though he cannot bring it out due to the reasons stated above.
Analysis: Yuga's quirk will inevitably lead to internal damage, and unlike Izuku Midoriya, we have no reason to believe that improved control will outright eliminate the damage altogether. We have debated preventing him from being part of the hero program for this reason alone, atop his numerous character flaws. However, Yuga has a strong desire to be in the school. While his quirk is not one I would recommend taking, we are curious to see how strong his desire to be a hero is and if he can prevent himself from flunking out of the program.
Name: Toru Hagakure
Rating: 1/5 Stars
Qurik: Invisible (... do I need to explain this one?)
Personality: Toru is a bubbly, cheery, and easygoing girl who does most things with an upbeat attitude, even when manipulated. She is energetic yet focused and reliable, not a pushover.
Analysis: While it is indisputable that Toru has an incredible quirk for espionage, she has become overly reliant on it. She did not pass the practical exam and was in the bottom 25% of the class in terms of the written exam. While we gave her the benefit of the doubt, executing our sole veto to let her through due to the exam being so against her skill set, we will expel her if she doesn't improve quickly.
