WHAT IS UP MUCKAAACHUNGAAAAS!? IT'S TRAVEZTY! It has been a while since I updated this story, but I'm sorry to say that I have honestly cant bring myself to write this one any further. To be honest with you all, after trying to get my head back into the game with this story, I honestly can't do it, mostly because I've lost all inspiration in writing this one. Its a damn shame cuz I really liked the idea of placing House Draculesti into A Song of Ice and Fire! However, that doesn't mean that this is the End of my adventures with Vladi and his siblings, oh no, Cuz I have something in the mix that I think you guys are going to like, so hear me out for a moment.
You see, while I am a big fan of the Canon from the Books, I also like the Game of Thrones TV Show, despite how badly Season 8 was handled. Now, admittedly, I haven't seen the entire show myself, but I would gladly watch it if I had the cash to afford a streaming service that would allow it! HOWEVER... That doesn't mean I'm done writing for this series, no siree! In fact, recently, I've done a bit of digging in the Wiki of Westeros (The Show Canon Wiki), and I learned that there is a MASSIVE territory in the North that has been left unclaimed by anyone: The Rills! Let me elaborate al ittle. You see, in the Books, the Rills are controlled by House Ryswell, but that house doesn't appear in the the Show. Not only that, in the Telltale Game of Thrones Series, there is House Glenmore of Rillwater Crossing that controls a territory that extends from the Stony Shore along the river that covers it's southern border. The Ryswells, on the other hand, controls the Rills, which is situated between two rivers, the one on the southern end of the Glenmore's territory, and the river to it's east that seperates the Rills from the Barrowlands.
After watching ScrivaTV's video "Map of the Known Houses of the North, Their History and Tour Through Winterfell" I saw that the two territories are absolutely massive, and using the "Interactive Game of Thrones Map with Spoilers Control", I found that this entire area is 525 Miles from it's northern most point to the Blazewater Bay/Saltspear (The bottom of the Rills connects the two regions together), and around 390 Miles from the Westernmost Point of the Stony Shore to the Eastern border of the Rills, meaning that the Entirety of these two territories, which is the entire territory of the Rills according to the Show's Canon, is, at most, 205,000 Square Miles! HOLY GUACAMOLE! If House Ryswell did exist in the Show's Canon, then they would be controlling a territory that's only a fraction bigger than Thailand, and a fraction smaller than Yemen! Well in any case, when I roleplayed with a friend of mine on Skype, we decided to situate our version of House Dracula as a Northern Family situated in these territories, but I never knew how big they actually were until now!
Now, however, I'm a little motivated to make this rp-verse something of a reality in my stories. So here is the basic backstory for House Dracula of a Song of Ice and Fire, in the Words of the Vlad of House Dracula themselves.
History of House Dracol by Aekar Dracol/Vlad Dracula:
During the Time of Old Valyria, there were what would seem to be ancient rumors by the Valyrians of Daenys the Dreamer having spoken of a prophecy of Doom, many of the Valyrians scoffed and laughed at the idea of the Freehold being destroyed... However, our great ancestor Daegon Dracol, saw things differently. House Dracol, one of the Three Founding Dragonlord Families, has never been one to take chances. Many of the Dragonlords called them Paranoid, but they were always the ones who saw things many others were too arrogant or complacent to see, so, much like the Targaryens, they left Valyria to it's fate, freeing their slaves and giving them the choice of either going with them to Westeros and starting over, or being delivered to the Free Cities where they could make their own way. Many of the slaves respected House Dracol because they didn't treat them harshly, and despite being cruel but fair in their punishments, the slaves were treated them more like people than property, and thus almost all of them choice to stay. Traveling to Westeros, Daegon Beseeched the Kings of Winter for shelter and sucker in order to re-establish themselves, in which the Starks agreed to, giving the Dracols the Territory of the Rills to claim as their own. With the aid of their Freedmen servants, the Dracols decided to settle in the massive stone hill that stretched the entirety of their northern border, carving the castle from the stone with fire and claw. For more than a century, we stood loyaly behind the Starks, until Aegon the Conqueror Landed and sealed the Fate of the Realms on the Field of Fire with his Dragons. Though we were Dragonlord of Old Valyria, we ourselves never rode dragons, for we could turn into Dragons. However, even my ancestor, Lord Rhaelor, knew that it would take multiple Dracols to take on Vhagar, and there weren't enough of us to challenge Meraxes, let alone Balerion the Black Dread. So, chosing his words carefully, Lord Rhaelor beseeched the Lords of the North not to go south and challenge Aegon the Conqueror, as even House Dracol's Flameborn wouldn't be enough to secure them victory.
Initially being called cowards and traitors for abandoning the King in the North when they needed him, Lord Rhaelor put his foot down and told them that they were loyal to the North, and that they only said this as a warning, as Rhaelor would gladly face one dragon with his entire house behind him, but three of them was more than even his eldest kin could stand against. Torrhen, having been fostered with Rhaelor's Family, had Rhaelor locked in a cell for his own safety, and declared he would decide Lord Dracol's punishment when they returned to the North. When news came of Torrhen kneeling to Aegon, and the Lord of the North seeing the size of Aegon's Monstrous Dragons, they immediately realized why Lord Rhaelor was so terrified of them. For Centuries after, we remaind loyal to the Starks, and when it came time to fight in Robert's Rebellion, my father, Jentys Dracol, proclaimed that this fighting was pointless, telling Lord Eddard Stark he was a fool for going south to fight a war that is based on a lie. Lord Eddard refused to believe it and imprisoned my father, as Torrhen did my ancestor, for his apparent cowardice and siding with the Targaryens. However, in doing this, all of House Dracol had refused to join in the fighting for House Stark. A year later, when the Northmen returned to the North, Lord Stark publically pardoned us, revealing to the rest of the North that my father had been telling the truth. What that truth was, he refused to tell anyone in full detail, but all he would reveal is that if he had listened to my lord father, Lyanna would still be alive.
Many in westeros believe that we members of House Dracol are nothing more than monsters in human flesh, and they are right to believe this. The Dracol's Sigil is that of a dragon with it's tail wrapped around it's own neck, a testament that though we can allow people other than Valyrians to mount our backs and ride us, many have tried to take advantage of this in the past and force us to bend to their will with disastrous results. A Dragon is not a Slave, and neither are we. "Anogar hin Doron", Blood from Stone...
