Hi Readers: I know, these chapters are much shorter than my usual chapters, and I'm sorry about that. After all, I want to make these chapters much longer; however, that's all I got when it comes to chapters. Hopefully, you guys still like them and let me know what you think I can do to make them longer. Hell, I may go back and try and add more. Thanks again for reading, and I hope that you like this.

Chapter 3: Andrew James Casey

Casey Hospital Suite – August 30, 2020 – As she came to early this morning, Gabriela Casey couldn't help but wonder whether she was dreaming. What she truly alive and here with her guys? Her loving husband Matthew Casey, as well as their son Andrew? Was this a dream? And that was precisely what she was thinking about as she turned her head to look around her hospital room. In the process, she watched as Matt held their son close to him. And the moment Gabby saw that, she knew that this wasn't a dream: she was alive; something which made her cry, while also getting Matt's attention the moment he heard Gabby cry. "Hey. Why you crying?" Gabby looked at Matt as she teared up. "I did it. I survived. I'm here." Matt agreed with his wife, as that most certainly was the truth. She was with him and their son, all healthy. And just like she said, it was her risk to take; and it paid off for the better.

She was here, their son was here; and ever better, they were here together as he got up this morning. "Here, you want me to hand you our son over to you?" Gabby nodded, as that was precisely what she wanted Matt to do: she wanted him to give Andy over to her, so that she could hold him in her arms. After all, it's precisely what she's always wanted to do: hold her son in her arms. And now that she survived giving birth, she could do just that; especially now that Matt made his way over to her with Andy in his arms. After which, he smiled as he looked at the woman he loves. "Here, you want our little boy?" Gabby nodded, as that was precisely what she wanted: she wanted their son in her arms. So, she moved up and leaned back against her pillow; at the same time, Matt went to lay Andy down in her arms so that she could hold him for the first time. And he had to say, it truly was the best sight in the entire world.

His wife, holding their four-hour old son in her arms. "What time is it, anyways?" Matt smiled as Gabby asked him that question. "It's 5. You were in labor for about 11 hours, and then you gave birth at 1:18 AM this morning. You were passed out for the past couple hours, because they put you under anesthesia." Gabby was surprised. "To give birth?" Sitting down on the edge of his wife's bed, Matt nodded. "Yes. They wanted to take every precaution. They asked me what I wanted to do, including offering you to just be numbed; but…"" Matt sighed as he looked at his wife. "Gabby, I need you to not hate me for this." Gabby was confused when she heard her husband say that. "Hey, what are you talking about? Why would I hate you?" Matt sighed. "I told them to put you to sleep, which could've led me to rob you of any chance you got to meet our son." Gabby looked at her husband as he told her that.

After which, she grabbed his hand as she knew he needed a bit of comfort right now. "Gabby, if I could go back…you have to know that I would go back. In the moment, I decided to do it because I was selfish and did what they told me was the best bet to make sure that you lived. As a result, you could've never met Andy. Even if it was just for a moment, that would've been better than none." Gabby agreed, as she now understood why he was apologizing to her: he feels like he made a mistake. "Though, I need to tell you something good that came out of this situation." Gabby was confused as Matt told her that. "Something good?" Matt nodded. "They got it, babe." Gabby was confused when she heard Matt tell her that. "What do you mean, they got it?" Matt smiled as he moved his hand to Gabby's neck and leaned his forehead against hers. "They took your aneurysm out." Gabby was shocked.

After all, she didn't think that was something they'd be able to do. "No, you're lying." Matt shook his head as he placed his hand on the side of her face, only to watch as Andy went to try and latch on. "Here, how about we get him to latch on?" Gabby smiled as she heard Matt say that, only to turn her attention to Andy so that she could get him to latch on. After which, she smiled due to the fact that it felt so nice to have her son feeding from her breast. It was a dream come true, as it was exactly what she wanted. She's always wanted to breastfeed her child, which is precisely what she's doing right now: she's breastfeeding her son Andrew, and it's the best feeling in the entire world. But, what would make it even better is if her husband decided to get in bed with her. So, as she rubbed Andy's back, she turned her head and smiled at Matt. "Here, can you join me in bed? I want to cuddle as a family." Matt smiled as he'd love to.

He'd love to cuddle up to his wife and son in their hospital bed, as it sounded amazing; especially due to the fact that Gabby was still here with him, which was everything he wanted. He wanted to have Gabby in his life for the rest of their lives, which is precisely what he now has. He's going to have the woman he loves in his arms for the rest of their life, as they raise their son together. And now, he was in bed with her and had his arm around her once more. "God, I was worried that I'd never get a chance to hold you like this ever again." Gabby agreed with Matt as he wrapped his arm around her back and tugged the covers up on top of their family, which was precisely what Gabby wanted him to do. She wanted him to tug the covers up on top of them, as it would just make them comfortable. However, the same couldn't be said about her arm being around his back; so, she moved it out from under his back.

After which, she moved it to Andy's back and smiled as she turned her head to look at him; meanwhile, Matt placed his hand on top of Gabby's as they each held each other close. And he had to say: this was precisely what he wanted in life. He wanted to have Gabby back in his arms, and not just now…but, for the rest of his life. He wants to give their marriage a second chance, as they raise their child together. "Gabby?" Turning her head, Gabby smiled at her husband. "Yeah, Matt?" Matt smiled at his wife. "Gabby, I want us to make this work and raise Andy like we always wanted to raise our family: together." Gabby agreed with Matt, as that was precisely what she wanted as well: she wants to raise Andy together, just like they always planned on doing so. "I love the sound of that, Matt. But, is there any way we can put what happened before Andy's birth in our past?" Matt bit his lip before sighing. "We need to talk."

Gabby looked at Matt as he told her that. "Gabby, you hid an entire pregnancy from me. The only reason I know, is because Natalie called me because I'm your emergency contact." Gabby agreed with her husband as he told her that, only to grab his hand and intertwine their fingers. "As long as it means that we're back together and raising our family together." Matt agreed with his wife, as that's precisely what he wants to do: raise their family together. "Gabby, how about you feed Andy? Then, we can talk. He's starting to unlatch." Turning her head when Matt told her that, Gabby put him back where he belonged. "Let's put a pin in what we were saying." Matt agreed with Gabby, more than ready to do just that as he watched his beautiful wife feed their son this morning; after which, they would get a chance to talk to each other about what they (briefly) spoke about just moments earlier.

Walking back over to his and Gabby's hospital bed after putting Andy down in his crib, Matt smiled as he looked at his gorgeous wife; the woman he love smore than anything in the entire world, and who he was so happy to have back in his life. Though, that didn't mean that they didn't need to talk for a moment. Rather, that was precisely what they needed to do: they needed to talk, as he needed to make sure that she knew that she couldn't hide stuff like the pregnancy from him again. He just hopes that he can talk to her the right way as he made his way over to their bed. "You ready for some company in bed?" Gabby smiled, as that was precisely what she wanted. "You keeping your pants on?" Matt agreed, as he was keeping them on. "Yes, I am." Gabby agreed with Matt as she watched him climb into bed with her, only to extend her hand to motion for Matt to get close to her; which is what he did.

He got nice and close to her, prior to closing the covers on top of the both of them. "God, I missed holding you in my arms." Gabby agreed with her husband, as she felt the same way. "I feel the same way. This feels so nice." Matt agreed with Gabby. "Enough for you to move home?" Gabby agreed with her husband. "Yes. I'm moving home, Matt. I wouldn't dare try and take your son away from you." Matt smiled as Gabby said that. "Just like you almost took my wife away from me. Sorry, Gabby. We need to talk about it." Gabby sighed, as she realized that. "Just not yet, it's too early for that. You just gave birth, and I just want to be happy right now." Gabby agreed with Matt and smiled as she placed her hand on his chest, while Matt grabbed her hand and intertwined their fingers as they held each other close in bed. "It feels nice to have our wedding bands clinging against one another's again." Gabby agreed.

After all, it felt really nice to be in Matt's arms again. "Just being in your arms makes me happy, Matt. I hope you know that. And I hope you know that I didn't need Andy to be happy with you." Matt sighed. "Unfortunately, I felt that way for a while." Gabby looked into her husband's eyes when he told her that, feeling horrible about that. "Matt, I'm so sorry. I didn't know." Matt agreed with his wife, well aware that she was sorry. "I know that, Gabby. But, you need to make sure that you talk to me from now on. We need to make sure that we're on the same page when it comes to decisions we make together, especially when it comes to Andy." Gabby agreed with her husband as he told her that, only to cuddle up to him and let go of his hand; after which, she wrapped her arms around his muscular torso and slipped her legs in between his. Meanwhile, Matt wrapped his arms around her and smiled at his wife.

He then turned his head and looked down into her eyes. "Do you mean it when you say that you're home forever?" Reaching up, Gabby placed her hand on the side of Matt's face and nodded; after all, she was home. "I promise, I'm home. There's nowhere I'd rather be, other than here with you as we raise our son together. I want us to raise Andy together." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that. "And in the future, have a second child. By the way, I'm sorry that I ever doubted you. It was your risk to take but…" Matt sighed. "I want to talk about why I was scared, Gabby. I know that it's not relevant anymore, but sometime, I'd like to have the same conversation the way it should've gone down; rather than the way it actually went down, as I misspoke what I meant. There was so much more I was trying to say, but I was worried that it'd freak you out as it had to do with Hallie." Gabby was confused.

After all, she was confused when Matt said that; that was, until she realized that she died. "Oh god. This is related to the fact that she died?" Matt nodded. "I wasn't ready to accept the fact that I could lose a fiancé, a wife, and three children in a single life." Gabby looked at Matt when he told her that, hating to think that way. "Matt, I'm sorry I never thought about it that way." Matt agreed, as he knew that Gabby was sorry. "I know, Gabby. I promise that I Know now. But, we can talk about it another time. Right now, we just need to get some rest since Andy is going to want to feed again in maybe 90 minutes." Gabby agreed with Matt as she cuddled up to him and smirked. "How do you think Kelly's going to react when he learns that you had a son named Andy first?" Matt laughed. "Ok. That's going to be fun. Telling him that I have a son named Andy, when I know he wanted that too." Gabby agreed with Matt.

After which, she moved her hand up her husband's toned chest. "I love you Matt, I need you to know that." Nodding, Matt agreed as he wrapped his arm around her back and placed his hand on the back of her head. After which, he leaned in and kissed his gorgeous wife softly. "I know. And I also know that we're going to have a long, beautiful life with each other. Now, let's get some rest." Gabby agreed with Matt as she wrapped her arms around his muscular torso once more, while he placed his hand on her lower back and kissed her once more. "God, I love how you're just wearing your underwear right now." Gabby smirked. "This could've been how we woke up together in the hotel, had you not left." Matt sighed when Gabby said that. "I had shift." Gabby nodded, as she knew that. "We'll talk about what you could've done in the morning. We're probably going to be here for a couple days." Matt agreed.

After all, he had no doubt that they were going to be here for a couple days. "I have no doubt in my mind that's going to be the case. So, let's just get comfortable and take it easy. You're safe, and we have Andy now. That's all that matters at the end of the day." Gabby agreed with Matt and smiled as she kissed the love of her life once more. "I love you, Matt. Have a good night and get some rest." Matt agreed with Gabby. "Want me to lay down on my back so that you can sleep on my chest?" Gabby nodded, as that was precisely what she wanted him to do. So, just like she wanted, Matt rolled over onto his back; meanwhile, Gabby moved on top of him and smiled as she proceeded to cuddle up to her man in the comfort of their hospital bed. "I love you Matt." Gabby said, as she hovered over Matt and then kissed him softly. Meanwhile, Matt moved his hand to her neck and smiled as he took things nice and slow with her.

But before he went to sleep, he made sure to tell her something. "I love you too. Let's try again and make it work for Andy." Gabby agreed with Matt, as that's precisely what she wants to do: try again and stay married for Andy. "Get some rest, babe." Matt agreed, more than ready to get some rest as he felt Gabby lay down on his chest. Meanwhile, he tugged the covers up on top of the both of them, prior to wrapping his arms and legs around her to make sure that she wasn't going anywhere (not that she wanted to, anyways).
