"Ooh, I love your costume, Marinette!" Tikki squealed, as Marinette slipped into her sparkly pink dress and sliver shoes. "Me too. But the best part about being Princess Buttercup for the play is Adrien is the prince! My prince!" Marinette sighed, going starry-eyed and drifted off to Cloud Adrien.
"Come on, Marinette. You need to get into the tower so Prince Charming can serenade you," Tikki snapped her back to reality.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the theater….
"What do you mean I can only serenade her during the play?" Adrien asked Plagg. "She has a balcony, I have flowers and I'm for sure her Prince Meowing!" he slicked his hair back for dramatic effect. "You'll be Prince Yowling with pain if you do that. Just stick to the script!" Adrien shot Plagg a dirty look. "Your no fun when you don't have cheese," he grumbled. "Excatly! Haven't I told that from the beginning?!"
Adrien stepped out from behind the curtain, smiling up at Marinette on her balcony. Sure, M'lady had a special place in his heart, but Marinette was special.
"Hark, Juliet is the sun!" Adrien got down on one knee, confused when he heard groans all around. "Wrong play, dude!" Nino called, tossing him a guitar. "Just strum this a few times, and the girl is yours!"
Of course, Adrien being Adrien, even as a Prince got his fingers stuck, and Marinette being the girl she was, wanted to help. However, she leaned a little to far out of the tower and shrieked as she fell towards the stage.
"Gotcha, Princess!" Adrien caught her easily. Hey, it wasn't the last time she'd had a clumsy moment. "Princess?" Marinette narrowed her eyes. Oops. "Cat can call me that, but no one else." "But your Princess Buttercup!" "Oh, right! My prince, thank you for saving me!"
The cast and crew (including Adrien) wasn't prepared for what happened next after Adrien set Marinette on her feet and she leaned over and kissed him.
Meow. "Is this the script?" Adrien smiled dreamily.
"Cut!" Nino yelled. Clearly, the leads liked each other and they had a lot of work to do.
