To many, the name Jaune Arc was a name to be respected and one to be feared. The legendary hero of humble beginnings who was chosen by the sword of the luminous god to slay the witch demon Salem once and for all. Though he had started out as the runt of 8 siblings with little experience in the ways of combat, he quickly grew through the many trials and tribulations he would face on his quest into the hero people had hoped would come to save them. Though what stood out to people the most about him wasn't his skill in combat or his willingness to bear the burdens of heroism, but rather the compassion he had for many. Even some of those he stood against like the bandit Emerald Sustrai or the gladiator Hazel Rainart.

Though he wasn't alone in his quest to bring peace to the lands. Joining him in his adventures were the siblings Ruby Rose and Yang Xiao Long. Ruby was a rather shy mage who specialized in healing magic while Yang was a passionate barbarian who had the ability to light herself ablaze. After their mother Summer was murdered by Salem's minions for being deemed a threat to her plans, they wanted nothing more than to get revenge and see the witch brought to justice. So when Jaune stopped by their humble island home to gather supplies, they jumped at the chance to join his quest. Though this party wouldn't be a trio as the pet of the sisters, a corgi by the name of Zwei, stowed away in Ruby's bag and ended up tagging along.

Over their many months of traveling across the world, the party would come to be a sort of mini family. Jaune and Ruby quickly built up a sibling-like relationship as both were very socially awkward and could easily relate to each others' insecurities about not being good enough to save the world. Meanwhile the blazing dragon would form a much more intimate relationship with the heroic Paladin. One built upon mutual support and trust that they would have each others' backs even in the direst fights. And one that would be proven serious when Yang was injured during their duel against the Wyvern. The entire time she lay recovering from her injuries, Jaune rarely left her side. He'd eat and sleep by her side, and would talk to her about everything going on for hours on end. When she awoke from her slumber, the amount of tears the knight had could flood the room.

Once they'd defeated the witch and she lay turning to ashes at their feet, it became clear to Jaune that he would no longer be needed as "the hero" since the witch demon would never be returning again. And though he figured many of his skills could be well spent in various types of occupations or hobbies, he also knew that his status as the hero would draw too much attention to himself and any of those around him. So any attempt at having a normal job would be entirely in vain. But at the same time, he didn't want to leave the sisters for any reason. And he especially doesn't want to leave Yang since she was his girlfriend. The question of what to do would be on his mind throughout the entirety of the celebration held in his honor. Even as his family and theirs were meeting and stories about the two lovebirds that would normally be embarrassing were being shared.

That is, until Yang surprised everyone by proposing to him at the celebration's height. Jaune, while very caught off guard, couldn't turn down a proposal from the woman he loved for any reason. And thus, on top of celebrating Salem's eternal defeat, the festival became a way to celebrate the hero's engagement. Which would go on for a good two to three days before things could start to simmer down and the world could start to repair itself from the damages done during the battles of good and evil.

Cut to the present day, about two years after Salem's death and Yang's proposal. Jaune decided to retire from the spotlight entirely and became a househusband while Yang has become the breadwinner of the house. Having put down her weapons, she's used her street smarts and people smarts to become a businesswoman and a successful one at that. Which is something that catches a lot of people off guard given her previous occupation of barbaric fighting. Sure she's not completely sworn off violence, especially when people get too close for her liking, but she's gotten much better at keeping calm and maintaining a clear mind.

As the former knight checks the fridge for anything he can throw out before he washes dishes, he notices Yang's lunch still sitting on the top shelf even though she left for work already. Turning to see it's about 15 minutes before she takes her lunch break, he rushes around their house to get his shoes on and grab his bicycle helmet. Getting on his bike with his wife's lunch held tightly in the bike's basket, he thinks to himself "Time to save my wife from starvation. I cannot fail on this quest under any circumstances" and makes his way down the streets of Vale as quickly as he can. It may not be the grand adventure he used to live as the hero, but it's exactly the adventure he wants. A relatively quiet and simple life with the dragon he loves so dearly.
