The sound of machine beeping rang throughout the white room of Konoha Hospital for the umpteenth time. The room has only one occupant who was wrapped in bandages and unconscious. One can only see his hair which was bright blond and rest was wrapped. Around him lays many flowers and gifts from his well wishers.
"Are you sure about this Hokage-Sama" came a muffled but concerned sounding voice.
"Yes I am sure Kakashi. Now keep your mouth shut" replied a female voice when suddenly the door opened and in came two people who were just talking outside.
One was man who wore mask which covered half his face and a regular Konoha Shinobi Jonin outfit with a headband which covered half his face and has gravity defying spiky silver hair. Other was beautiful woman with fair skin with silver dress and white overcoat usually wore by doctors. Her forehead had a diamond shaped mark. The former one is Kakashi Hatake one of the strongest shinobi and latter is Tsunade Senju Fifth Hokage of Konohagakure no sato.
"You can stop the acting Naruto we know you are awake fooling us won't help you" said Tsunade looking towards with soft eyes and voice.
The now named Naruto opened his eye which has bright blue orb in it. He only opened his one eye and looked at Tsunade while she looked a little guiltily.
Tsunade sighed and began "Look Naruto I know you don't want to meet anyone right now but we have an important thing to discuss" she looked to Kakashi and took a deep breath.
"Naruto we have many things to discuss but first tell me how are you feeling…" at this Naruto started thinking about his battle with Sasuke Uchiha, his brother in all but blood. They fought against each other in the Valley of the end which was very devastating and bloody. Naruto could still feel the pain where Sasuke pierced him with a Chidori. Naruto at the end lost the battle even with the help of nine tails (Kyubi) chakra.
"I am feeling okay Obaa-chan. I have still much to think about and improve myself as a shinobi". Tsunade nodded hearing this as she couldn't do much more than hug him and give him support but it was Naruto who has to pull himself straight.
"Okay Naruto if want to talk we are here for you. Now the thing is about your condition. Naruto as you may know you had many injuries in your body many major and minor which are mostly healed by me with the help of Shizune and Kyubi. But you still have sustained many damages, your chakra is very low and you will have scars all over your body. But the most important thing is that I'm sorry to inform you this but Naruto you have lost you one eye specifically your left eye" at this Naruto rubbed his hand over the bandages on his left eye. "I know this hard to hear Naruto but even I couldn't heal your left eye and even kyubi couldn't. I think the main reason is cursed chakra of Orochimaru's seal of curse which slowed down the progress of healing which resulted in permanent damage in your left eye" informed Tsunade stopping to let Naruto digest what she said.
Naruto remembered that during their last and final move Sasuke cut into his left eye with his cursed Chidori. He looked down on his hands thinking how the full details of the battle. He thought how he hesitated and pulled the Rasengan back which made him lose and eye. Naruto then looked at Tsunade knowing she has more things to say.
"Naruto the next thing is about your Shinobi career. Originally is was decided that you would be taken on a training trip with Jiraya but something popped up and he said he has to leave the village for and indefinite period of time. So in the absence of Jiraya, Kakashi here will train you and help become better. You will also not leave the village due to the threat of Akatsuki" Tsunade looked at Kakashi and motioned him to talk while she got away for her hospital rounds.
Kakashi pulled a chair from the corner of the room and sat in front of Naruto looking him in the eyes with sad expression. They sat there in silence both thinking where to start. 'Why is it so hard to talk to my student uhh…' thought Kakashi thinking what to say. "So…ummm… how are you doing Naruto?" 'STUPID' yelled Kakashi in his mind for the question.
Naruto smiled at him thinking 'Typical Kakashi' "I'm fine sensei, just lost on the road of life for a little bit" at this both Naruto and Kakashi chuckled a little bit and easing the tension and awkwardness around them. They did some small talk until Naruto got serious to which Kakashi also got serious. Serious Naruto doesn't fit in a sentence but when he gets serious then you should never take him lightly.
"Kakashi sensei since you will be training me I will ask you some questions and please answer them honestly"
Kakashi nodded at Naruto already guessing what he wanted to know. "Very well Naruto I will answer them to the best of my abilities".
"Well sensei, I know I am not that good of a shinobi so can you tell what do I need to improve".
"Naruto, never think you are a bad shinobi. In fact you are one of the most powerful gennin in Konoha. But if you want to know then your skillset is totally shit. If we remove your summoning jutsu you will not have anymore arsenal than Rasengan and Kage Bunshin. Even then you need a clone to make a proper Rasengan which might cost you your life in a fast paced battle. Your Ninjutsu is nonexistence and your Taijutsu is like a street brawler and your Genjustu is a total disaster. But your Battle IQ is one of the best I have seen so far. Well I can't exactly blame you for the lack in these things as I never trained you guys much before Chunin exams but I will try making upto you by training you to the best of my ability" completed Kakashi taking a breath from his long speech.
Naruto clenched his fist thinking about his shortcomings and swore that he would become powerful. He would think about Sasuke later and his promise to Sakura, right now he needed to think about his career. Naruto then looked at Kakashi when Kakashi started again.
"Now that I have told you your shortcomings. I believe we should start our training next week after you are released but while you are in the hospital I will give you some books to read. Your basic education is lacking and some theories are also lacking. I will give you five books to read" Kakashi then took out five books from… somewhere and gave him those. "One book is about the geography of elemental nations which will immensely help you in battle. The other one is about Nature Transformation which will help in training. The other one is basic field tactics and basic shinobi things which you should give it a read. The other one is about Basic Fuinjutsu in which Fourth Hokage was a master of. And last one is about Chakra which you must read first as it will help you understand what chakra is and will help way more than anything right now". Finishing Kakashi then took out a diary and gave it to Naruto for him to write down something if he needed.
"Then I will be going Naruto. I will visit you everyday so keep reading the books and don't think about the past. What's done is done and you can't chant it no matter what but you must look forward to the future and make it something that you will be proud of. And remember Naruto no matter who says what or no matter how many how many times you fall I will always stand behind you and I am proud to say that you are my favorite student out of all 3 of you guys" Kakashi said proudly looking at Naruto and ruffling his hair to which Naruto playfully scowled but had a smile on him.
After Kakashi walked out of the room Naruto looked at the books and took out the chakra theory book. He knew if he wanted to become good shinobi he has to from the very basics. He thought how his fight against Sasuke went and realized if he wants to become powerful he have to learns many things 'well lets start with the baiscs'

WELL THERE IT IS GUYS. I KNOW IT'S A VERY SMALL CHAPTER BUT I WANT TO JUST START RN WITH THE FIC WHICH WAS IN MY MING FOR SO MUCH TIME AND NO I DID NOT FORGOT ABOUT THE FANFIC I WAS WRITING BEFORE THIS BUT I LOST THE WAY AND WILL THE THAT FIC AFTER THIS AND WILL WRITE THAT WAY BETTER THAN BEFORE WITH WORLD BUILDING. ANYWAY BACK TO THE FIC AS TO NARUTO HAVING ONE EYE, WELL THAT LOOKS BADASS AND THERE IS ALSO OTHER REASON. OTHER THAN THAT I HAVENT DECIDED TO SHIP HIM WITH OR EVEN HAVE A COUPLE IN THIS FIC.
