Hello fellow readers. This will be my very first story I have written. I have been sitting on this idea for months planning how I want this story to play out and I have a good idea going. I now must write out the details. The beginning of this timeline will be similar to the xcom and xcom 2 then the rest is what I think could happen afterwards. I don't think by the end of this it will be a master piece but I do hope you all will enjoy it. If so I'll stay motivated to continue writing out my story. So enjoy yourself and feel free to offer good criticism.

XCOM: Enemy Expanded

2015-Aliens invade earth and XCOM responds to defend her, led by Commander Dean Carter and Central Officer Bradford, along with lead scientist Dr. Vahlen and chief engineer Raymond Shen.

2016-Progress is being made by XCOM to rid earth of her invaders, but the council nations are being pressured into submission. With only so many operatives to fight, commander Carter has been taking many volunteers, like former Triad Operative Shaojie Zhang, and also Annette Durand, who is the first human known to have psionic abilities.

2017-Before the commander can launch the mission to destroy the alien mother ship, the council nations surrender to the alien leaders known as the Elders and leak XCOM HQ to them. The aliens raid the base, killing off most XCOM personnel, abducting the commander and Dr. Vahlen. A handful of personnel escape like Bradford, Shen, Zhang, Durand, and a few others. The world shortly after becomes controlled by the puppet administration ADVENT, which paints the aliens in a good light for the next 18 years.

2035-Most of the world, besides a few resistance groups in small areas throughout the globe, have been subject to ADVENT rule through the aliens. A small resistance team led by Bradford locates and recovers Commander Carter, who has been kept in a stasis pod so that his captors may study his strategic mind. With the help of Bradford and the previous council spokesman, Carter kicks the resistance into gear. Rouge ADVENT scientist Dr. Richard Tygan and Chief Engineer Lily Shen support Carter in helping research and reverse-engineer the alien technology.

2036-Contact is made with 3 separate resistance factions known as the Reavers, Skirmishers, and the Templars, who under the commander, come together to take back their home.

2040-With strong forces across the planet and the Elder's Chosen dead, XCOM make their final push and defeat the Elders. Besides the ADVENT forces who surrender into the skirmishers, most of the alien forces are killed as they refuse to surrender.

2041- Humanity, along with the skirmishers who classify under a new species, form a new democratic government known as United People of Earth(UPE).

2043- With no current threats and a mostly stable government, now Supreme Commander Carter volunteers to return to stasis until he is needed once again.

2050-A large scout ship is sent to investigate a small remote station on the moon. Inside, several XCOM operatives discover several dead Elders and still active terminals. A lot of the information has been scrubbed, but they have recovered portions referring to an unknown galaxy wide empire called the protheans. Knowing of a possibly worse threat to mankind, the President, along with his inner circle and high ranking military officers from the last war, discuss this discovery. It is decided that the public will know vague details of what was found so new changes can be made.

2065- With several new orbital ship yards and the new UPE military installation built on the moon, construction of new advanced ships will be made. This includes various vessels, from small science ships to large warships.

2100- Mars is colonized, with its citizens living in dome cities, as the planet is still slowly terraforming. A few explorers and scientists discover what appears to be alien ruins deep in Mar's surface. It's unknown what civilization left these deep ruins, as any terminals found are broken beyond repair, besides a beacon. Studies into the beacon are underway, but will take time.

2110- After many years, humanity has discovered how to produce enough MELD for their military and their populace. This has greatly increased human life expectancy up to 500-600 years. It has also been greatly used in the medical field to treat and cure most diseases. Military service guarantees the more advanced branches of MELD used back in the Elder War.

2112- After many failed tests, the first warp drive is created. This allows them to open up a wormhole to traverse through and come out a different location. Currently, it lets them travel 10 light years in 24 hours.

2115- The first ships to go through the warp to another solar system is 1 science ship and 5 corvettes. 24 hours later the 6 ships report back a successful warp jump. Plans to colonize the 2 garden worlds found in the new system are underway.

2118- With a strong military presence in what is now called the Hades Gamma System, mass colonization is underway to the first garden world called Harvest. The colonization list is massive thanks to a population boom in 2079.

2140- Human and Skirmisher population now adds up to 28 billion and all live on Earth, Mars, Harvest, and Harmony.

2141- Humanity now travels to a new system to expand. Our story starts here...
