Smallville: Lex & Lana romantic pairing.
Chapter 3
The morning after, brunch was set up at the garden behind the castle. Lex had given Lana a change of clothes, a beautiful red sundress. She knew he had one of his assistants buy it at the last minute. Yet, the dress fitted her perfectly, hugging her delicate curves in all the right places.
In Luthor fashion, brunch was presented extravagantly under a large gazebo, with white flowing curtains that shielded them from the glaring sun. Soft blue cushions were seated at the center of the canopy, and a French table covered in silken white tablecloth was adorned with different kinds of pastries, bowl of fruits, coffee, tea, and caviar. The aftermath of the heavy rain the night before caused the air to feel light and crisp, smelling of Spring air, as a soft breeze blew around them.
They sat across from each other, eating quietly. Waking up in the morning next to Lex was jarring for Lana, and she couldn't quietly wrap her mind around it. A part of her was absolutely panicking, when she had woken up and saw Lex lying naked next to her. But a larger part of her was in awe, completely fascinated with Lex, his body, his smile, the way he touched her. They stayed in bed for a while, and although Lex was affectionate, he was awfully quiet too. Now, as they sat across from each other, Lana could barely read his expression.
Their eyes meet, and Lex half-smiles, his deep blue eyes sparkling under the sun. He reaches over, gently takes her hand, and presses his lips against the top of her hand. "You ok?" He asks, voice soft and low.
The simple touch and kiss alone was so tender, Lana couldn't help but feel warm inside. "I think so…" She pauses. "You've been really quiet." Lana finally says.
Lex holds her hand, caressing the top gently with his thumb. "Only because you have." He leans back. "I wanted to give you time to think it over."
"Think over what?" Lana asks.
"Think over us." Lex answers a matter-of-factly. Then in a careful tone he continues, "Think over if you regret your decision last night."
A flash of uncertainty crosses over Lex's expression, a feature Lana never thought she would ever see in Lex.
Lana looks down briefly. "I guess I'm just scared."
Almost without a beat, Lex gently pulls her towards him. Lana obliged, allowing him to pull her, as she instinctively falls into his lap.
"Of what?" Lex asks tenderly, wrapping his arms around her.
Despite her raging mind, she felt comforted, the feeling of Lex's arms around her immediately calming her nerves. "Of what's going to happen after." She finishes.
Lex looks up at her and takes a deep breath, tenderness written all over his eyes. "Lana, you mean so much to me. I wouldn't do anything to hurt you." He says, voice husky and gentle.
Lana takes a deep breath as well. She believed him, but she was hoping for a different response. A large part of her was hoping Lex had a solution to the domino effect this would cause. The pain it would cause Clark, the public's response, Lex's reputation, Aunt Nell, Lex's father, The Talon's future – everything. It was all too much for her.
As if sensing her internal apprehension, Lex cups her face with his hands and gazes at her intensely. "Lana, I don't regret a single thing about last night. I promise, I'm with you, and only you."
It wasn't exactly the answer that Lana was looking for, but ironically enough, it was the answer that she needed, the answer that calmed her and soothed her nerves. He didn't regret it, and he was with her and only her -hearing that affirmation alone was enough to keep her apprehension at bay.
A gust of soft wind blows around them, and Lex tenderly reaches up and tucks a strand of hair behind Lana's ears. He pauses, then he reaches behind her at the table and holds up a cup with a pill inside. "It's Plan B." He says softly.
Lana has heard about this before, the girls in her cheerleader team would often talk about it. She never thought she would ever need it, but here she was. She takes the cup and water that Lex handed to her.
"You can't get pregnant yet – your aunt would kill me." Lex says, humor in his voice, as he looks up at her with an amused look on his face.
Lana heard that word in repeat, echoing against her ears, as she swallows the pill with water. "Yet?" She asks, raising an eyebrow.
Lex smirks, but doesn't answer.
Lana's mind raced. Lex was thinking about their future, about having children? Lana wasn't exactly sure how she felt about that, but she could feel a strange warm feeling form at the pit of her stomach. Or maybe he was just saying 'yet' for the sake of it.
Lex reaches up and tucks another loose strand of hair behind Lana's ears. He briefly looks down, suddenly looking apologetic. Then he clears his throat and looks back up at Lana, his eyes wary. "I have to go to Metropolis today." He sighs. "I might be there for a while to take care of a few things."
Lana's stomach quickly dropped. Whenever Lex said this in the past, she knew there was chance he could be gone for weeks. This would not have stung as much as it would now, all considering what just took place between them.
Lex must have seen the look on her face, because he tightens his grip around her waist. He looks up at her, blue eyes deep with intensity. "My dad left a couple of unfinished business I have to take care, but I'll be back before you know it." He says huskily.
Cupping her face with his hands, he leans his head upward and kisses her fiercely in the lips, delving his tongue inside to demand entry. In spite of it, Lana couldn't help but respond to Lex's kiss. She moaned, shifting to straddle him completely, as she wraps her arms around his neck. She opened her mouth, meeting his tongue just as fervently, as they kissed deeply, their tongues dancing against each other.
They pull away slightly, and Lana looked around quickly. The garden was isolated, there was not one person in sight.
Lex smirked, as if reading her mind. "Don't worry, no one comes out unless I call them." He says, reassuringly, as his blue eyes sparkle against the sun.
Another gust of wind blows Lana's long dark hair into tousles, and Lex sighs.
"I have to be the luckiest man alive." Lex says, his blue eyes intense.
Then he reaches up again and kisses her fiercely, tongue delving inside her mouth, eliciting another moan from Lana. His hands trail down to her legs, caressing her silky skin, as it finds its path slowly under her skirt and then up to her thighs.
Lana gasps, and he groans against her mouth. Gingerly, his hands explore her legs, slowly tracing her skin, and then ever so slowly, finding the warmth in between her thighs. He pauses, tracing the line of her panties, as he continues to kiss her.
"Let me come inside you." He says in between kisses, his voice husky with desire.
It had to be the sexiest, most alluring thing she has ever heard, or maybe it was because it was coming from Lex, but a wave of pleasure immediately vibrated through Lana's pelvis, and she moans again. She very quickly realized that Lex had quite literally sexually awakened her entire existence. She was sensitive to every touch he gave her, every kiss he pursued, and everything about him was deliciously irresistible.
Lana wasn't sure exactly how it happened, but somehow in between their kisses, her underwear was quickly shifted to the side, and Lex was entering her underneath her dress - right in the middle of the garden, as the trees rustled with the wind and the birds chirped above them.
Although they just had sex last night, the feeling of Lex inside her again, still had a tinge of discomfort. Lana had nothing to compare it by, but she was sure Lex was larger than average, and the feeling of him filling her up in its initial penetration, came with slight discomfort and surreal pleasure all at the same time. She didn't think it was possible to have those two sensations mixed in one.
Lana gasped at the jarring feeling of Lex pulsing hard inside her, and she clung on to his shoulder, bracing the discomfort.
Knowing she was still not used to his size, he kisses her. "You're ok." Lex whispers reassuringly, caressing her legs to relax her.
He stayed still for awhile, giving her body time to get used to it, as he gently trails kisses down to her neck and then back up to her lips. Then unable to take it any longer, ever so gently, he takes her waist with both of his hands, and guides her to move up and down.
Lana almost instantly follows his direction, and Lex groaned in pleasure. "Good girl." Lex huskily says, voice deep and sexy. Wanting to touch her everywhere, Lex's hand moves back to touch her legs, gently caressing them for encouragement, as his other hand holds her waist to support her movement.
For a while, they stayed in a steady rhythmic motion. Soft wind blew around them, as Lana quietly gasps in pleasure each time they collide.
Lex allowed this to go for a while, until he wanted more of Lana.
Kissing her deeply, he grips her waist and guides her to move faster, his arms expertly slightly lifting her body to go up and down in a faster pace. With the feeling of discomfort completely gone, and in desperate need to please him and increase the pleasure that was vibrating through her body, Lana obeys without hesitation. She increases her pace, grinding her hips against his.
The faster rhythm was almost too much for Lex to take, and he leans his head back in utter pleasure. He curses, blue eyes glistening deep. His hands find its way up to cup her breasts, holding and squeezing it in his hands. Lana gasps in response, pressing herself against him. The sensation and the sound of their collision felt so insanely blissful that Lex could feel himself slowly move at the edge of precipice.
Then Lex felt Lana tighten her grip around him and he groaned from pleasure and relief, knowing full well she was climaxing. When he felt her shake and then release, he let go. He came so hard, spilling inside her fervently, that his body also shook.
Lana buries her face in Lex's neck, her body shivering from the aftermath of her climax, her entire pelvis pulsing in pleasure. Lex held her close, his arms wrapped around her waist, his eyes closed.
They sat intertwined for a while, breathing fast, as the birds chirped and the wind rustled around them.
Minutes later, Lana got up and smoothed her dress, hair tousled in waves. Lex was looking at her, with a soft smile on his face, as he buckles his pants up. Gently, he pulls her back to sit next to him, enveloping her in his arms. Softly, he kisses her in the forehead, holding her close to him.
Dazed and realizing what just took place, Lana quickly looked around. Although the curtains around the canopy were basically covering them completely, Lana almost panicked. Much to her relief, there was not one person in sight. How she ended up doing what she did, she didn't quite know, but Lex always had a way of bringing out a side of her that took risks and gave into her desires. It was what scared her the most.
She looks at Lex, who looked completely unbothered. He half-smiles, noticing her reaction. "No one is here, Lana." He says, smiling amusingly.
Lana picks up a strawberry and then looks at him again, their faces close to each other. He meets her gaze, and Lana couldn't help but admire how handsome he truly was. His deep blue eyes sparkled and his strong jawline pulsed.
"Do you do this often?" She couldn't help but ask, a part of her needing affirmation that this wasn't a common thing he did.
Lex chuckled. "What - brunch or sex during brunch?" He asked humorously, blue eyes glistening against the sun.
"Both." Lana says, biting on the strawberry, as she gulped her uneasiness with it.
Lex tightened his arms around her, and suddenly he looked serious. "No." He said simply. Then he reaches down and softly kisses her on the lips. "No." He repeats.
And with that, Lana without a shadow of a doubt, believed him.
The drive to Lana's house was peaceful. With the windows and roof down, they speed past the endless fields of grass. Lex held the wheel with one hand, while his other hand delicately held Lana's hand, their fingers intertwined.
As they near her driveway, Lana quickly glances at Clark's house. The yellow painted farmhouse stood peacefully at the center of the meadows, it's white picket fence shining against the glare of the sun. For a second she thought she would see Clark standing on the front porch, but to her relief Clark was nowhere to be found, and the red pickup truck was not parked in the driveway. She silently thanked whatever took Clark out of his house in the bright early morning. Suddenly, it hit her. The idea of what this would do to Clark suddenly gripped Lana like a vortex. An image of Clark's pained expression broke her heart, and she turned away immediately. She couldn't think about that, not now – not when everything has turned upside down.
As they drove closer to her house, she saw that Aunt Nell's car was not in the driveway and she breathed another sigh of relief. She had called her aunt that night and made an excuse that she had to stay at Lex's house due to the weather, and although she heard hesitation in Nell's voice, her aunt accepted it. For as long as Lana could remember, her aunt had always kept close ties with the Luthors, but she had a feeling Nell wouldn't have agreed to her staying at Lex's place, if it wasn't for the storm.
Lex parks his Porsche and they both step out of the car. She glances at Lex as she makes her way up the front porch, and sees him looking at Clark's house. She tenses, following his gaze. She half expects someone to step outside, but no one does.
Lex turns back to her, his eyes unreadable, as he steps up to the front porch to join her. Although Lana knew that Lex and Clark's relationship has been tense for the past year, Lana wondered what he was thinking about, what he was feeling when it came to Clark, if he was feeling guilty or regretful. She wasn't sure. But their friendship had always been often tested throughout the years, and each and every time it didn't pass through the ring, slowly crumbling, as both men's perspectives were often conflicting against each other. She would hate to think that she would be the reason that broke the camel's back.
"I don't think he's home." Lana says carefully.
Lex tips his head, "I wasn't wondering." He says it casually, but she saw a flash of disconcertment in his eyes. Just a flash, as it was gone quickly.
He looks up at the house and scans it. "The last time I was here was when I visited you at the stables." He smirks, eyes sparkling at the memory.
Lana laughed, distracted by his comment. "Oh yes, and I reminded you at that time that I saw you skinny dipping in a pool with a lady."
Lex chuckled, "Ah yes, I couldn't believe that little girl had turned into you. I was quite embarrassed." He tips his head, smiling. "I never get embarrassed." Then a look of desire flashes in his eyes, and he leans down close to her. "But you Lana Lang, certainly have a way with me."
Lana could not help but blush. She cranes her head and leans up towards him. "Do I?" She asks in a teasing manner.
"Yes." Lex says huskily, his voice deep and utterly sexy. Then without missing a beat, wraps his arms around her and pulls her close to him. "You have me wrapped around those beautiful fingers." He says, voice deep and filled with desire. Then he leans down and pulls her into a scorching kiss that lit up every single atom of Lana's body.
Somewhere in the back of Lana's mind, she knew they shouldn't be kissing like this – in public, for anyone to see – but she was rendered weak when it came to Lex's touch and she couldn't help but immediately respond, tiptoeing as she wraps her arms around him. She felt like she was twirling in a whirlwind of romantic bliss.
"I have to go." Lex says breathlessly, after they slightly pull away, their foreheads touching as they are locked in a deep embrace.
Lana only nods her head, not wanting to go back to reality. "How long will you be gone for?" She knew she asked him before on the ride to her house, but she wanted to hear it again – some sort of reassurance from Lex.
"A few days. Hopefully less than that." He says again. "I would fly you to Metropolis, but your aunt wouldn't like that." He chuckles amusingly.
Lana laughs, "No, she wouldn't."
"I'll call you as soon as I get there." He says, brushing a strand of hair out of her eyes. He kisses her fiercely again, tongues colliding against each other, then he steps back and takes a deep breath, as if it took all of his energy just to let go.
Lana crossed her arms, feeling strangely empty, as she watches Lex walk down the steps. He looks back and right before he steps in the car, Lex flashes her his famous smile and winks at her.
As she watched Lex slowly pull out of the driveway, she wondered how she had gotten to this moment, how from just a mere few hours ago – she was leading (while mundane) a normal life, and now, she was in this raging storm of desire and passion, consumed by all of Lex's essence and aura. She sighed, and as she was about to turn to go inside her house, a glare caught her eye from across the street – and she immediately froze. It was a good distance, but Lana could clearly see the figure. There was no mistake that standing right in front of the door across the street, in the middle of the porch, staring right at her - was Clark's father.
