The beach party.

And so, after Hooty devoured all the watermelon that was splattered all over the beach, Luz had managed to set a start a fire to fit in the centre of a circle.

Skara and Raine were playing their respective instruments as background music for people to dance to. Steve and his girlfriend were dancing around the beach fire to the music as well as Gus and his Palisman. Barcus on the other hand, was chewing on his kebab like it were a toy.

As this went on, Eda was sitting on a log eating a kebab prepared by Camila with her sister. "This beach day was quite spectacular." Lilith remarked. "Besides the chaos of course."

Eda shrugged her shoulders. "Well, what can a day with Luz be without a tiny bit of chaos?" Eda retorted. "Would have been better if it was a nude beach that I wish I had found but didn't." Eda gave some sideways glances.

Lilith exhaled. "I will never understand why a nude beach. I doubt I'd like to be walking on the sand with my butt hanging out."

Eda patted her sister's back. "That's the fun part."

"For you." Lilith retorted.

Edric and Emira were sitting on one of the logs eating their kebabs and getting along. "Hey Em, I'm sorry I didn't get that matching swimming trunks."

Emira sighed. "No, Ed, I'm sorry. I was completely stupid and petty. I shouldn't have drawn on your stomach."

"And I shouldn't have drawn on yours either." Edric sighed. "I'm not going to lie Em, I'm going to miss having Edric The Conversational Belly around."

Emira grinned. "And I'll miss Tommy The Talking Tummy."

"Me too." The twins just sat on their logs eating their kebabs and staring at the burning fire. "We could grow faces on them."

"Don't push it, Ed." Emira demanded.

Hunter and Willow were also dancing beside the fire. Just laughing, exchanging random kisses and caressing their respective arms.

As this went on, Jerbo was answering tons of questions from Marcy. "Soooo, Hunter isn't a witch?"

"Grimwalker." Jerbo explained. "A being made from Palistrom wood made from the DNA of a witch and a human."

"And…Hooty is…."

As Marcy looked Hooty, he was doing a weird wavy dance around the fire. "This is like my 1985th birthday party! Only there was less bloodshed."

"We prefer not to know." Jerbo replied.

"That's fair." Marcy said. "I don't think I'd like to know." She then noted Luz and Amity dancing around the fire together. "And…Luz and Amity?"

"What about them?" Jerbo asked.

"They're girlfriends?" Marcy queried. "How does a relationship between a human and a witch work?"

Jerbo shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know. Their anatomy is very different from one another's."

Marcy raised her hands in defence. "Not all the details, sorry. But dang, it's amazing that an interspecies relationship is still going strong for them. How long have they been together?"

"Five years." Jerbo replied.

"They could be soulmates." Marcy remarked. "Or more, they are soulmates."

Jerbo shrugged his shoulders. "Guess she couldn't find one here."

"Dang, I'm jealous of Luz." Marcy said. "I read so many fanfics with interspecies romance that I'm envious that it happened to Luz."

"And Masha." Jerbo pointed to Vee and Masa, whom were sitting on the sand, cuddling together.

"Oh, right." Marcy said. "Jerb, would it be weird if a human was attracted to you?"

"Would it be weird if a witch was attracted to you?" Jerbo retorted.

Marcy smiled. "Not at all."

Alador was sitting on a log looking remorseful while Darius sat next to him eating a kebab. "Alador, I'm sorry about your back. But you were kind of reckless."

"I know." Alador said.

"Huh?"

"I was reckless." Alador replied. "I don't know what came over me. I lost control of myself. I became stupid, impulsive and just rude. Was I like that in my youth?"

Darius sighed. "Not the rude part. As much as I loved stupid and impulsive Alador, I think the Alador I am sitting next to is just as good, if not better." He kissed his cheek.

Alador looked to his partner and smiled. "Thanks, dear. Now, if you excuse me, there are three kids of my own that I need to apologise to." He stood up off the log and began walking towards his kids.

While that went on, Luz was in a slow dance with Amity. Their hands around each other's torsos as they swayed to the slow tune Raine and Skara were playing. They didn't care about what was going on around them, they only cared about each other in this very moment.

"Hey Luz, I'm sorry that this beach day didn't go as planned." Amity said. "Especially mutating those watermelons."

"Amity, I don't think a beach day without you guys would have been completed without some form of chaos." Luz said. "Besides, some good things have happened. I won a diving contest, we met Steve's girlfriend, had a water pistol fight, made sandcastles and made a new friend. What more could I want from a beach day like this?" She and Amity shared a kiss with one another. They pulled out of the kiss and gently placed their foreheads against one another's. "By the way, what did you use to mutate those melons and make them this powerful?"

"I don't know." Amity replied. "Just followed the instructions. I guess I used something called, Blue Resurgence."

Luz looked concerned about it before shrugging her shoulders. "Eh, probably nothing."

Alador approached the couple. "Hey Luz, can I pull my daughter aside for a moment? I want to apologise."

Luz smiled at Alador. "Sure thing, Mr Blight." She let go of Amity and kissed her on the cheek.

Edric and Emira approached their Dad. "Hey Dad, what's up?" Edric asked.

"Kids, I want to apologise for my inappropriate behaviour." Alador said. "I don't know what was going on with me. I lost my mind and I-"

However, his kids interrupted him by giving him a hug. He reluctantly returned it, confused by their affection.

"There's our socially awkward old man." Edric said.

"We know that wasn't you, Dad." Emira stated. "Our Dad wouldn't be this stupid and selfish."

"Glad to have you back." Amity said.

"You're not mad?" Alador asked.

"A little." They all replied.

"But let's put this family conflict aside for a moment." Amity suggested. "Let's enjoy this night."

The Blight siblings removed themselves from their Dad and gave him a smile. He smiled back, feeling relieved that his kids have at least forgave him. "Thank you, for forgiving me."

Camila then approached Alador and patted his shoulder. "Al, can you and I talk? I have something you might need to look at." She showed him a vial of her daughter's blood that she wanted him to study much closer.

Boscha sat on one of the nearby logs eating a burger that tasted surprisingly amazing. She seemed like she had entered Valhalla with how tasty and meaty it was. "Oh my Titan, this tastes so good!"

"Got nothing to do with it, but thank you." King said.

Viney and Willow approached Boscha with surprised expressions. "Hey, Willow, didn't you cook that burger on your abs?"

Boscha froze in shock upon hearing that sentence. "What?"

"No, I'm sure it was your abs." Willow said.

Boscha in that moment, spat out her burger, smacked her tongue and ran away in disgust. "You disgust me!" She screamed.

Willow and Viney shared a laugh together while their respective partners walked up to them. "Neither of you cooked that, did you?" Skara asked.

"Oh, no, we didn't." Viney assured them.

Beach Attempt 1.

Sometime after the beach day, Luz and Amity had decided to return to the beach to go to a certain beach. They arrived via Stringbean and a lot of invisibility glyphs.

"Okay, time for some peace and quiet." Luz declared.

"Yup." Amity replied. "Good thing no one knows we're here. Or otherwise, Eda might want to join us."

Amity shuddered. "I can't get naked Eda out of my head. I mean, I could, but I don't want to risk forgetting you."

"Well, least we won't encounter Eda naked again." Luz said as she and her girlfriend walked through the cave. "Instead we'll…See Marcy and a bunch of other gals naked."

In front of the couple, Marcy was standing behind a ginormous sandcastle that covered her entire body. "Hey girls, look who's here. It's Luz and Amity. Ya know, the human and witch who are dating each other."

Nearby, in the steaming hot lagoon, a blonde haired woman in her mid twenties stood up, steam covering her entire body while she adjusted her hair. "Hey girls, I'm Sasha."

And behind a rock, a Thai woman with messy hair poked her head out to greet the couple. "And I'm Anne. It's a pleasure to finally meet you."

Luz and Amity cringed at the sight. This was not what they had planned at all. "Luzzz…."

"I'll think of something." Luz said.

"Care to join us?" Marcy asked. "I've told my gal pals about you and they were dying to meet you."

Luz cringed as she and her girlfriend backed away. "Actually, we are just about to tour some historical sites in Massachusetts. We got lost along the way too….Lizzie Borden's Murder House."

"Oh, that is an amazing site." Marcy remarked. "Been there a few times myself."

"Good to know." Amity said before inhaling. "I'm sorry, we came here because we wanted to spend the day at the nude beach but we can't do it with three extra people so now we will leave and not see you again, byeeeeee!" Amity said all with one breath as she dragged Luz by her collar.

Once they left, Marcy looked baffled by their abrupt exit. "Huh. That's rude."

Sasha approached Marcy and wrapped her arm around her shoulder. "But you know what else is rude? Not telling me and Anne about this Jerbo."

In that moment, Marcy turned the brightest shade of red anyone has ever seen her in. "Ohhhh…."

Halloween confrontation.

It was Halloween night and Luz and her friends were about to go to The Human Realm. And everyone were dressed in their own costumes. Even couple's costumes.

Luz and Amity were dressed as Charlie and Vaggie from Hazbin Hotel respectively; Hunter and Willow were dressed as Moxxie and Millie from Helluva Boss respectively; And Gus was dressed as The Tenth Doctor from Doctor Who.

"You sure going camping in the deep woods is a good idea?" Hunter asked.

"I'm sure, Hunter." Luz said.

"This better not be your way of getting back at us for that Halloween prank from last year." Willow said.

"No, we're just five friends sitting around a campfire about to tell five scary stories." Luz said.

"Sounds like you're setting up something." Gus remarked.

All of a sudden, Matt, Bump, Eberwolf and Collector approached the group dressed in their own Halloween costumes. Matt was dressed like Hobbs from Fast & Furious, Bump was dressed as Palpatine from Star Wars, Eberwolf was dressed as Kraven The Hunter from that movie no one will ever see and Collector was dressed as a yellow triangle with a top hat.

"Hey Luz, thanks for sending us that invite to the beach months ago." Bump stated bluntly.

"Yeah! Could have soaked up some sun with these bad boys." Matt flashed some nonexistent biceps.

"I'm not mad at all." Collector remarked. "I just felt left out."

"I had an incredible spa day." Eberwolf said.

"Sorry guys, I sent you invites but you didn't RSVP." Luz explained.

"Well, would have been good, good, goooooood." Bump remarked.

"Sorry guys, maybe next time." Luz said. "Right now, I got some scary stories to tell." She and her friends began walking towards The Owl House in order to get to the Human Realm to tell some stories.

"Wait, you went to the beach?" Matt asked The Collector.

"Oh yeah, on a world of frogs." Collector replied.

"Sure, why not." Bump remarked.

Beach Attempt 2.

A few days later, Luz and Amity had returned to the beach to try and enjoy their peaceful solo beach day adventure. "Okay, our first attempt didn't go so well." Luz said.

"Maybe today will be better." Amity said. "As long as those government guys don't bother us."

"Government guys?"

Luz looked ahead and saw a ton of government agents investigating the beach. They appeared to be wearing hazmat suits and using Geiger counters.

Their leader, a man in a flashy purple suit, purple lipstick, bald head and a pair of glasses somehow skated on the sand to chat with his assistant.

"I don't understand." Mr X said. "According to eyewitness testimony, there were two nuclear explosions at this very location. But there is no clear sign of any radiation." He groaned. "And I brought my best hazmat suit for nothing."

Luz and Amity froze in shock at the sight of the agents. "Wanna check the Lizzie Borden house for ghosts again?" Luz asked.

"Yup." Amity and Luz ran away before the government agents could spot them.

Dreams come true.

A few months after the beach adventure, Steve had walked through the portal door to the Human Realm, dressed in a fancy suit for a date with his girlfriend.

"Man, I can't wait to see what surprise Court has for me." He said to himself. "Oh man, if it's a red streak biker helmet, I will be so…" He froze on the porch when he saw what was in front of him.

His girlfriend was leaning against a dark purple motorcycle, dressed in a pair of ripped jeans, a black leather jacket, a crop top and black shades. Steve's face instantly turned shades of red at the sight of how hot his girlfriend looked.

She pulled her shades down and grinned. "You coming for a ride, Steve?" She asked.

Steve froze as he struggled to come up with the right words. "Uh…I didn't bring my helmet."

"That's been compensated." Courtney tossed a helmet for Steve which he caught.

Steve looked confused. "Since when did you know how to ride a motorcycle?"

"I took lessons after you made that sand sculpture of me." Courtney said, sounding like a bad girl. "It revved a little engine inside me. Vroom! Vroom!"

Steve approached his girlfriend. "So, where are we heading?" He put his helmet on his head.

"I booked an awesome restaurant." Courtney replied. "By the way, they have a dress code." She tore Steve's sleeves, tore the buttons of his shirt revealing his chest and tore the knees of his suit. Steve blushed at his girlfriend's actions. "Much better. Hold on."

Steve held his girlfriend by her torso just as she revved the engine of her bike. "How long have you rode this?" He asked.

"About a few days." Courtney replied. "And don't worry, I haven't crashed."

Far from Steve and Courtney, Camila had just finished painting a small fence around her house. "Thank you Masha, you didn't need to."

Masha grinned. "No problem, Ms Noceda. Happy to help."

Camila exhaled. "That took four days but I'm glad it was all worth it in the end."

"Gotta admit, the fence really brings the house together." Masha remarked. "Shame if some-"

All of a sudden, Courtney crashed through the fence along with Steve. The couple crash landed on the grass while the bike they were riding on crashed through the other side of the fence.

Camila gave a horrified gasp while Masha froze. "I was about to say attention starved teenagers, but sure, scatterbrained couples would work just fine."

Beach Attempt 3.

Luz and Amity had arrived at the beach once again to try and get to the certain beach. "Third times the charm. Third times the charm." Luz kept repeating to herself. "Surely there won't be people we don't want there or government agents."

"You know we have plenty of beaches back at The Demon Realm." Amity pointed out.

"Yeah, but they're public." Luz pointed out. "But no one here does."

When they walked through the cave, they were greeted to a site they weren't expecting. There was a strange flying bland coloured robot with a human brain in a glass dome on its head along with a gorilla in a purple gown and a pair of glasses.

"What the…" Amity reacted in shock.

The flying robot and his gorilla partner noticed them. "What ze…Mallah, how did zey get here?!"

"Mon amour, the beach is public." The gorilla said. "We were bound to get visitors."

"Great, then zat means we have to…Ya know…Vernichten!"

"Brain, we talked about this." The gorilla said. "As far as I'm aware of, they know nothing of Blue Resurgence and what it can do."

"Good point." Brain said. "Plus, did you find it odd zat zey did not scream at us? Or had any kind of reaction?"

"Hmm, you make a good point. Almost like, they're used to weird stuff like this." Mallah pointed out.

"Maybe zey, could be of use to us." Brain said. "Perhaps, we can find where Blue Resurgence came from."

"So girls, do you-" When they turned around, they saw that the girls that were there before were gone. Only their clothes were on the sand.

They then heard the sound of splashing around in the cool water. Specifically, in the deeper sections. "We don't care what you have to say!" Amity exclaimed.

"Yeah!" Luz responded. "I have been waiting for too long for this trip! I have put this beach trip with my girlfriend off twice because of three girls who weren't supposed to be there, government agents and I'm not having a brain in a robot and a gorilla in a dressing gown?" Luz seemed confused. "I'm sorry, I'm dating a witch and this is the strangest thing I've seen in my entire life."

"You think zat's strange?" Brain retorted. "Him and I are lovers."

Luz froze by that statement. "Not sure how that works but okay. Have fun…Doing what it is you're doing!"

All of a sudden, Amity showed up behind Luz and dunked her head into the water. "AMITY!"

The most unusual couple turned around and began to walk/hover out of the cave to leave the girlfriends to their business.

"Mon amour, was it just me or did that girl with the scar kind of look like Miss Lane?" The gorilla asked.

"What?! Absurd!" Brain exclaimed. "I see no resemblance! I mean, whoever thoughz zat zey could get away with designing a character who looks like another, should get a lawsuit!"

Mallah shrugged his shoulders. "How do we know it's not the other way around?"

A curse?

Luz was in her college dorm room, sitting in front of her desk, studying for an upcoming test for her university. It was a test on all the different types of wild magic and all the good and bad they can do.

"Alright Luz, three more questions and you will get a date with Amity." Luz said.

All of a sudden, a crow phone landed on her window and cawed. "Luz!"

Startled by the sudden appearance, Luz fell off her chair in surprise. "What the…"

"It's Alador! Got time to talk?"

Luz grabbed the phone and pressed it against her ear. "Mr Blight, what's wrong?"

"Remember months ago when you transformed into a super Titan and spat out Titan's blood when you reverted back?"

"Yes. Why?" Luz asked.

"Well, I went looking for a meaning to these side effects and found something…."
