Sonic & Ayla Unleashed 8/8
Note: Really long chapter ahead.
(Ayla's POV)
*Soon, we were back on Mobius. Sonic & I stood on the wings of the X Tornado while everyone else followed us in a new invention of Rotor's. An airship called the Sky Patrol. Tails turned on the plane's radio*
Tails: This is Tails. Do you read me, Aunt Sally?
Sally:*off-screen* Loud and clear, Tails.
Tails: We're almost at Eggman's main base.
Sonic: I doubt he'll be happy to see us. I'd get ready for the welcome parade.
Rotor:*off-screen* Way ahead of you, Sonic. I've got plenty of surprises myself ready in the Sky Patrol.
Ayla: Great. Keep them ready until we arrive.
Rotor:*off-screen* You got it.
*Just then, as if on cue, we were surrounded by a bunch of flying Egg-Bots came towards us*
Sonic: Guess they won't just let us through.
Ayla: Then let's make our own way through!
Tails: Here we go! Transform!
*The X Tornado turned into Battle Armor Mode & Tails fought the robots with lasers, fists, & dodging by doing barrel rolls*
Sonic: Sweet!
Ayla: Keep it up, Tails!
*The Battle kept going until all the robots were destroyed. Suddenly, another Egg Cauldron appeared in front of us*
Sonic: Whoa! Welcome committee's out?
Dr. Eggman:*off-screen* Ha ha ha ha! Don't think this'll be like last time!
Ayla: You just can't get enough, huh?
Tails: I think it's up to something. Be careful, guys!
Dr. Eggman:*off-screen* Go! Fire all weapons! *like before, the ship fired at us, but we managed to destroy all the weapons that came our way. then we started to take out the cannons* Nrrargh! Why you fidgety little . . .! *this went on for about two hours until Rotor fired one of the Sky Patrol's weapons at it, causing major damage* Argh! Status critical! *he fired more weapons, but we worked together to destroy the new Egg Cauldron* Gwaaaaugh! Sssoniiiic! Aaaylllla! Don't think you've won this!
Ayla: Same goes to you, Eggs-for-Brains!
*Just then, we saw Eggman's new main base, which, of course, looked like a very dangerous amusement park. Chip, Sonic, & I jumped off the Sky Patrol & landed in the middle of the park. Sally, Bunnie, & Antoine flew down from the Sky Patrol on Dulcy. Knuckles glided down. Shadow, Rouge, Vector, Espio, Charmy just appeared in front of us, via Shadow's Chaos Control. Then we started to make our way into the park. Suddenly, we heard Eggman's voice on the loudspeakers*
Dr. Eggman:*off-screen* Oh ho ho ho! Welcome to Eggman Land, the brainchild of my heart and soul! *then a giant statue of Eggman appeared in front of the main entrance* This is my magnificent empire, made possible through my genius and the limitless energy harnessed from Dark Gaia!
Chip: Wha - Whoa! This place is crazy!
Sally: I'll never understand Eggman's tastes.
Bunnie: Ah don't think any of us do, Sally-Girl.
*Chip took out the camera & started taking pictures*
Chip: Get a good shot!
*He gave Antoine the camera & he posed in front of Eggman's statue*
Dr. Eggman:*off-screen* Ahh ha ha ha ha haaa! Surprised? Yes, of course you are! Sonic! Ayla! If you or any of your little friends have any complaints, come deliver them to me in person. If you can that is! Ahh ha ha ha haa . . . Ha-HACK! Hwaugh, k off! Whew . . .
*We all rolled our eyes*
Sonic: He's enjoying this way too much.
Knuckles: No kidding.
Rouge: I'm just surprised he hasn't pulled a muscle with all that cackling.
Chip: Guys! *we saw him on top of the statue, taking pictures* I can feel the last Temple nearby! He must have built this place on top of it!
Vector: Well, I guess we'll just have to tear it down!
Charmy: Yeah! Demolition! Demolition!
Espio: Let's just make sure the Temple stays in one piece.
*Shadow just smirked & nodded. With that, we all began our own path of destruction. Sonic found multiple containers of Dark Gaia energy around the place & used it to turn into his Werehog form. I sliced this up with my Ring Blades. Sally used Nicole to hack into the park's computer system & download viruses into it. Bunnie used her blaster hand, Antoine used his sword, Dulcy used her ice & fire breath, Knuckles & Vector punched their way through, Espio used his ninja weapons, Charmy used his speed & stinger, Rouge used her screw kick, & Shadow used his Chaos Energy to attack the robot guards & Dark Gaia monsters, while destroying the park along the way. Eventually, we made it to the Temple, but were stopped by two giant cyclops monsters, each holding a giant club. It didn't take long for us to defeat the monster with all of us working together. Soon both monsters were defeated*
Sally: You two go on ahead. We'll stand guard out here.
Sonic: You got it, Sal.
*We went into the temple & Chip used the gem on his collar to make the pedestal appear. Sonic placed one of the Chaos Emeralds in, it started to glow white, & rose up into the air. I felt my heart pound as the Emerald got it's power back.
Chip: The final Chaos Emerald . . . Back at last!
*Then the Emerald floated into my hand. Then I heard a voice in my head again*
Chaos Emerald: Once more. Before sunset.
*My eyes went wide as I looked at my watch*
Ayla:*in her mind* That's in eight hours! I've got to act fast!
*We ran outside, where our friends were waiting for us*
Chip: This should put the worlds back to normal. Dark Gaia will go back to being sealed within the core, and my work will be done.
Sonic: That's great, Chip.
Chip: Yup! Thank you, guys! It's all thanks to all of you!
Ayla: It was no problem. But we still have to fix both of our worlds.
Chip: Luckily, that's the easy part. All you have to do is use Chaos Control the minute Dark Gaia is sealed back into the core.
Ayla: Right.
*Then we all did a group high-five*
All: Yeah!
(Third-Person POV)
*Outside, Professor Pickle contacted everyone on the Sky Patrol & Tails in the X Tornado*
Professor Pickle: Oh, it appears Sonic and Ayla have restored the last of the Chaos Emeralds. Things should settle down around here before long.
Tails: That's right. Satellite footage confirms that the last piece is moving back into place.
Professor Pickle: That's wonderful! I'll await your safe return, then. You can all give me a full report over a plate of luscious cucumber sandwiches.
Rotor: Uh . . . Sure thing, Professor.
*Suddenly, both the X Tornado & the Sky Patrol were hit by laser blasts that sent them flying*
(Ayla's POV)
*I was just about to activate the Chaos Emeralds when suddenly, everything started to shake again*
Chip: Hmmm? Do you feel that?
*Everything shook harder. Suddenly, a giant red robot that looked like a dragon with a hulking humanoid torso, spiked shoulder guards, several highlights on the front, a smaller platform-like torso inside the main torso for the Egg Mobile to be inserted into as a cockpit, blue prongs on its lower chest, thin arms, two wing units, exhaust pipes on the back, a long & gigantic drill on it's left arm, a six-barreled cannon on it's right arm, & a lower-belly with two smaller cores, dangling from it's torso, on the bottom came in crashing through the ceiling. Then Eggman flew in, driving his Egg-Mobile*
Dr. Eggman:*laughing* Looks like you're all a bit too late!
Knuckles: Eggman!
Dr. Eggman: Thanks to my wondrous technology, Dark Gaia is whole and complete! I harnessed it's e ergy to put together this little creation. Behold, the ultra-hyper Prototype-1! Crush them!
*The robot used it's drill hand to break apart the floor, right underneath us. Sally & the others managed to dodge, but Sonic, Chip, & I fell through the floor*
Sally: Sonic!
Shadow: Ayla!
Charmy: Chip!
*We kept falling until Sonic caught up with his stretchy arms & safety brought us to a platform that was still going down. Then Eggman followed us*
Dr. Eggman: Ohh ho ho ho ho! This gorge will be your tomb! *he parked his Egg-Mobile in the platform at the top of the robot & laughed* Checkmate, Sonic and Ayla! Hope you've said your goodbyes!
Sonic: That lit up part on the bottom looks fishy! Let's try aiming for that!
Ayla: Anything to get an advantage!
*Eggman had the robot fire at us with it's cannon hand, but we dodged it all. Then we hit it with a combined slice from my Ring Blades & swipes from his claws*
Eggman: Impossible! *then something went wrong* N - No! The controls won't respond! *using that to our advantage, we jumped on the robot & caused major damage* Rraagh! Out of my sight! *then, as we went down, we hit all the weak spots on the robot* Waugh!? Noooo! *we hit the spots again, harder* H - Hey! Wai - Stop! No! Th - This is a delicate machine! *then we sliced & yanked off the parts* Wha-!? Now look what you've done! *the robot fell off the platform, but quickly came back up* Blast you, Sonic and Ayla!
*Then it shot up it's drill hand shot up & then it came back down, destroying the platform we were standing on. Then we fell again*
Chip: Uwawaaaaugh! The ground's b - b - breaking up!
Sonic: G - Geeze, Eggman! Simmer down!
Ayla: I don't think he really cares right now, bro!
Dr. Eggman: You two were lucky! But luck can't last forever! *we landed on a stone platform. then Eggman's robot appeared, but with blue wings. we dodged freeze blast from the robot's cannon hand, & laser blasts from the robot's cannon hand, then we hit it in it's usual weak spot* You little! Take this! *he sent out waves of electricity, that barely missed us. then we hit the spots again* Impossible! Nnrgh! Lost control again! Don't fall apart on me now! *we jumped on the robot & stayed in one spot until the robot tried to us with the drill hand, but we dodged & it hit the weak spot instead* Waugh!? Noooo! *then we went up to where Eggman was controlling the robot* S - Stay back! *then hit a few solid hits & slices, we damaged the Egg-Mobile & got it loose from the robot. then Sonic grabbed it & pulled it out* What!? N - N - No, dooon't
*Then he threw him away & we landed on the rock. Then the robot fell in a pool of lava below. Sonic & I howled in victory, even though I was in my normal form*
Dr. Eggman: How could I lose!? This isn't over! I'll build a Prototype-2 and it . . .
*Just then, we all heard a roar. Then, tentacles of purple energy rose out of the lave & something rose out after them*
Chip: Whoa!
Sonic: What?
Ayla: Is that . . .
Chip: It's Dark Gaia!
*The giant brown monster in front of us had horns, a body like a snake, huge claws, & huge teeth. A mane of purple fire came out of it's back, with two hole-like eyes that were the same color*
Dr. Eggman: Yes. YES! Dark Gaia! Crush these Insolent little hedgehogs! Kick them to the outer limits of space! *just then, he was hit by one of it's tentacles & knocked clear out of sight* Why meeeeee!?
Note: Always reminds me of Team Rocket's "We're blasting off again!"
*Then it sent it's tentacles at us. Sonic grabbed me & him & he dodged them. Suddenly, I felt a pain in my chest as Dark Gaia's eyes glowed. I fell to my knees as I clutched my chest in pain*
Chip: Sonic! Ayla! What's wrong? *then Sonic & I screamed as dark power flew out of us. they went into Dark Gaia & a three big green eyes opened in the middle of it's forehead & on it's horns. my brother was now back in his normal form* Sonic, Ayla, you've got to get up! Sonic! Ayla!
Sonic: Chip . . . R - Run, Chip!
Ayla: S - Save yourself!
*Chip just glared at Dark Gaia as it sent it's tentacles again. He sent up a green force field, blocking them*
Chip: Seven lights of the Earth rekindled! Awaken, and gather here to me!
*Then seven Gaia Temples appeared & started to build what looked like a giant stone golem with glowing green eyes & a green spot on its chest. Sonic & watched from where we were, which was on one of the Temples, as Chip battled against Dark Gaia. Dodging fire attacks until he got close enough & hit it with glowing green punches, stopping Dark Gaia from attacking. Suddenly, it grabbed Chip & looked ready to chomp the golem's head off*
Chip: Sonic! Ayla! Now, guys!
Sonic: Roger that, buddy!
Ayla: We're ready!
*We ran across the Temples, on our way to help our friend*
Sonic: Time for the big finale!
Ayla: Let's finish this with a bang!
Chip:*off-screen* Sonic! Ayla! Hit Dark Gaia's weak spot, while hold him back!
Sonic: Chip, you rock!
Ayla: And you rule!
*We kept going,
Chip:*off-screen* Hurry, guys! Dark Gaia's getting ready to do something!
Sonic: Hang tight, Chip!
Ayla: We'll be there soon!
*Soon, we reached Dark Gaia's big green eye, hitting it with spin dashes & slices from my Ring Blades. It screamed & let go of Chip, who went back for another attack. Once Dark Gaia got ahold of him again, we zoomed in for another attack of our own, hitting it's eye again. We did for a third time, which completely weakened Dark Gaia. But he wasn't done yet. It sent out another wave of darkness through an opening in the planet's crust, which was probably spreading throughout the whole world*
(Third-Person POV)
*In Spagonia, Amy ran outside the University when she saw the dark sky from outside a window*
Amy: Wh - What's happening? It was broad daylight a minute ago!
*Professor Pickle came out after her*
Professor Pickle: Dark Gaia has regained it's true power. The beast is complete. It's just as the Gaia Manuscripts foretold. "And the world shall be plunged into the days of night, the dark of destruction." *he fell to his knees* Oh, that it should come to this! We're doomed! The planet is lost!
Amy: That won't happen! There's no way Sonic and Ayla will let it end like this!
(Ayla's POV)
*Dark Gaia roared & then more arms came out of the sides of it's snake body & more eyes appeared, making it look uglier than before. Then I closed my eyes, using my power to call the Chaos Emeralds. They flew out of the Gaia Temples & to me & my brother*
Sonic: Let's do it!
Ayla: For everyone!
*Then we turned into our Super Forms & flew towards Perfect Dark Gaia*
Sonic: All right, guys! Time for the big finish!
Ayla: Let's do it to it!
Chip: Sonic . . . Ayla . . .
*We flew towards a force field Perfect Dark Gaia had surrounded it'self with, dodging blasts of purple fire & flying rocks*
Sonic: Rrgh! We gotta take out this shield!
Ayla: Not going to be easy, when even we're super!
*Once we were close enough, we stopped*
Chip: My turn, guys!
Sonic: H - Hey! What're you doing, Chip!
*Then Chip got his giant golem through the force field*
Ayla: Chip, I . . . You were . . . Wow!
Sonic: Awesome!
Chip: I'll get it's attention, guys! You to something about this shield! I think those big snake things are creating the shield, guys!
*We attacked one of the snake things, causing Perfect Dark Gaia to scream in pain*
Sonic: Looks like those snake things are it's weak spot!
Ayla: So let's split up and cover more ground!
Sonic: Right!
*And we did just that. Sonic got half of the snake things & I got the other half, while Chip battled Perfect Dark Gaia. Once we took them all out, the force field went away*
Ayla: Yes! The shield's gone!
Chip: Sonic, Ayla, you did it!
*Suddenly, Perfect Dark Gaia grabbed Chip again*
Sonic & Ayla: Chip!
Sonic: Be right there!
*We flew around Perfect Dark Gaia, hitting it's hands until it let go of Chip*
Ayla: Eat this!
*Then Perfect Dark Gaia released a blast of purple fire at Chip, but he withstood it & punch it in the face*
Sonic: We've got this one covered! Ready to rock, sis!?
Ayla: Ready to roll, bro!
*We flew towards Perfect Dark Gaia & it square in it's biggest eye. Then it fell back into the lava, screaming in agony. Just then, Sonic looked really weak, even though I still had plenty of energy. Then he went back to normal & started to fall towards the lava*
Ayla: Sonic!
*I was about to dive down & catch him, but Chip beat me to it, catching him in his giant hand. I looked up & saw the last piece of the Earth going back into place & the darkness disappearing. Suddenly, the Emeralds came out of the Temples & floated around me in a circle. I felt tears in my eyes as I felt the love of all my friends, my brother, & everyone from both worlds radiating off of the Emeralds. Then I heard Chip's voice*
Chip: Ayla . . . It is time . . .
*I nodded & focused all my energy into this*
Ayla: CHAOS CONTROL!
(Third-Person POV)
*Flash of light came out of Ayla as Chaos Control activated*
*Chris & Helen stood together as they watched a flash in the distance come towards them*
Chris: They did it . . .
Helen: Was there ever any doubt?
*He shook his head & they both took hands as the light consumed them both*
*All around both worlds, everyone held their breath as the light surrounded them*
*In Chuck's hospital room, a tear fell from his eye as the light consumed him too*
*In Shamar, after the light died down, Amy & the Professor, who was now human, looked up at the sun with everyone else, human & Mobian, celebrating*
Professor Pickle: Ah, the light reigns over darkness and the world is returned to peace. It's simply a miracle. We've been saved by a miracle!
Amy: I told you, didn't I? There was no way Sonic and Ayla would let something like that happen.
Professor Pickle: And right you were. Still . . . We cannot live without the night. We need sleep. We all must rest. Darkness is a part of our world, just the same as light. It may be that the darkness has not been destroyed, but merely laid to rest. It grows strong over the eons, rises up, then is put to slumber by the light. Perhaps that is the true balance of Dark and Light Gaia. That balance may be the very will of the planet itself.
Amy: Save the speech for later! We've got to get to the Thorndyke Mansion to get ready for Sonic and Ayla's coming-home party!
*She pulled him down the street*
*In a Void, Sonic & Ayla floated, unconscious. The a ghostly Chip appeared in front of them*
Chip: Sonic, Ayla, you have to live!
*The he began to float away*
Sonic & Ayla: Chip!?
*He stopped, looked back at his friends, smiled, & then disappeared. Then a green force field surrounded the two hedgehog & they disappeared*
(Ayla's POV)
*When I opened my eyes, Sonic & I were, once again, falling from the sky, towards a very familiar windmill*
Sonic & Ayla: Noooooo!
*We landed with a crash, our heads stuck in the ground, again. We pulled ourselves free & shook our heads*
Sonic: Owww . . . Are you okay, Ayla?
Ayla: Yeah . . . I guess so.
*We looked around & for a second, I thought I saw Chip, but it was actually just his green bauble necklace. Sonic picked it up. Suddenly, we both heard his voice*
Chip:*off-screen* I'll never forget you. Either of you. I'll be here by you, always. A part of the earth you tread.
*My brother looked at me. I nodded*
Ayla: You keep it. It'll look better on you.
Sonic: Thanks, sis.
*He put it on his wrist, like bracelet. We looked at th rising sun for a little while & then took off towards home. Then Tails came flying down in the X Tornado*
Tails: Hey, Sonic! Ayla!
*He waved to us & we zoomed along. Then that day, Sonic & I made a promise, to come here to Aptos, on the very day we met Chip, & have some of his favorite ice cream. I also made a scrapbook of our adventure. Most of them were pictures of Chip trying different foods from all over the world & some were us meeting new people*
One week later . . .
*I was walking through Station Square, thinking about everything that has changed since Sonic & I repaired both Earth & Mobius & reunited the two worlds. Chris, his friends, Molly (who's now older than Chris), Tyler, Izzy, Jake, & all our Earth friends are all young again & no one from Earth remembers the 21 years that passed for them since we left. It was as if it never happened. To them, it was as if only a year had gone by since we last saw them. Decoe, Bocoe, & Bokkun now work for Grandpa Chuck, who's healthy again, as his new assistants. Shadow & Rouge rejoined G.U.N. with Topaz as their partner. Molly is back in training to become a field agent. I managed to track down Annie, who didn't remember me that we had already met, & recruited her as a tambourine player for the band. Chris asked us if he could join the Freedom Fighters. Sally said yes, but as a trainee, just like Cream & Cheese. Some of the Earth cities have disappeared & were replaced with the ones I know now. Station Square was still around. Some Mobians have turned into humans, two of them being Professor Pickle & his assistant, Q. Cumber. Yesterday, I went to the library in New Mobotropolis & read every book in the history section. The stories about the Great War I grew up hearing from Uncle Chuck have changed a lot. Originally, the people of Old Mobotropolis battled against an invading tribe of cats who wanted to drive us out. They had wanted our space, our crops, & our culture for themselves. But now the books said that we battled against the humans. In the end we were victorious & King Acorn signed a piece treaty with the human leaders*
Ayla:*in her mind* Yep. This new world is definitely going to take some getting used to. Especially since I'm about to explore it again to see what has changed.
Six Months Later . . .
(Third-Person POV)
*In a giant stadium in Station Square, the seats were full of people who were cheering for a certain group that was about to perform*
Announcer: And now, ladies and gentlemen, the hottest group in the history of the world! The Chaotic Angels!
(Ayla's POV)
*The crowd went wild as we took the stage. Tyler, Jake, Izzy, & Annie (look up "Anime Girl with glasses" by "fribbleart99" on "DeviantArt") started to play & I began to sing*
*Ayla singing*
Here they come again, mmmm-mm-mm

American News Reporter: No question about it, The Chaotic Angels are the biggest, hottest sensation in rock history! Whoa, that girl Ayla is sizzling hot! At last night's World Music Awards, she won em all!
*Ayla singing*

Dutch News Reporter: Ayla has taken the Highland by storm! We have never seen anything like this!
Mexican News Reporter: Buenos dias! What a concert! The covenant triple platinum title had gone to the Chaotic Angels!
*Ayla singing*

American News Reporter: Today in Washington, Ayla, her brother Sonic, and all their friends were named the first Ambassadors for World Peace! And tonight, the Chaotic Angels will give the final concert in their record breaking world tour!
(Ayla's POV)

*Soon, we were walking out of the stadium. A crowd of fans & reporters were behind us*

News Reporter #1: How do you feel now that the world tour is over?
News Reporter #2: What's next, Ayla?
Scarlett Garcia: You've practically conquered the entire world, what could you possibly do to top yourself?
Ayla: To be honest, I'm not really sure yet. But as soon as I do, I'll let you know.
*The reporters followed us all the way to the Thorndike family & the Freedom Fighters, along with Rosie, Uncle Chuck, & Muttski who were waiting for us with a limo*
Sonic: Sorry, gang. Interview's over.
News Reporter #4: Come on, Ayla! You gotta have something planned!
Ayla: Don't worry, once I figure it out. You'll be the first to know.
*I waved all my fans goodbye as me, my brother, & my friends all drove away in the Thorndike's limo, on our way to our next adventure*
