Sonic & Ayla Heroes 2/4

Note: I added a bit more to the first chapter.

(Ayla's POV)

*Our next stop was the Frog Forest. Which was a giant rainforest full of giant frogs, who made it rain every time they croaked. We slide across branches, flew up huge trees, floated on flowers, bounced on mushrooms, & swung on vines. All while destroying Eggman's robots along the way. We made our way towards a giant mushroom in the center of the jungle. We also passed through the Lost Jungle, which on the forest floor & mostly water. We passed by more frogs, which were black this time. We also passed giant crocodile that tried to eat us as we swung on vines over the water. Some of the robots we passed were Egg Hammers, a Super Badnik. One of the Super Badniks had the cyan Chaos Emerald. Just then, we ran into Shadow, Rouge, & Omega, who were standing on a tree branch over us. I heart pounded when I saw Shadow*

Sonic: Well, if it isn't my favorite G.U.N. agents. Along with a new robot friend.

Knuckles: Who's this, Rouge?

Omega: I AM E-123 OMEGA. THE MOST POWERFUL OF THE E-100 SERIES. MY PURPOSE IS TO DESTROY EGGMAN AND ALL OF HIS CREATIONS.

Rouge: What he said.

*Tails, being a super geek that is he, started geeking out*

Tails: Wow! This is incredible! *he flew up to Omega & examined him all over* I can't believe Eggman never used something like this! What's your armor made of!? What powers you!? What kind of weapons do you have!?

*I rolled my eyes. Once Tails gets this excited, there's no stopping him*

Ayla:*in her mind* But he's still cute when he geeks out.

Rouge: Well anyway, too bad you had to come all this way for nothing! We'll take it from here.

Knuckles: What'd you say?

Omega: SENSORS LOCKED ON EGGMAN. NON-COMPLIANY INTRUDERS WILL BE DESTROYED.

Sonic: Hmm, didn't you know? We have a date with Eggman too.

Shadow: Is that so . . . Well then, it will be a date to DIE for!

Sonic: Hey! That's my line!

Ayla: Uh . . . Sonic. Something tells me he didn't mean that as sarcasm. Well, to you anyway.

*I decided to sit this fight out as well, because Sonic & Shadow start fighting, it's next to impossible to get them to stop. It's just as bad as when my brother gets in a fight with Knuckles. Soon, the fight was over it being another tie against Shadow & my brother*

Rouge: Okay, okay. We can probably keep at this all day, but unfortunately we can't.

Tails: Rouge is right. We only have two and a half days left.

Knuckles: Yeah, let's go. But we will settle this one of these days, Rouge.

Rouge: Anytime, handsome.

*Knuckles blushed & turned away*

Sonic: See ya around, Shads.

*Shadow just nodded & started to walk away with his team. But then he stopped*

Shadow: Oh, and Ayla. *I turned to him* Be careful.

*I blushed at his concern for me*

Ayla: Y - Yeah. You too. *was we went out separate ways, my thoughts wandered**in her mind* Was he concerned for me out of sisterly affection or . . . Nah, it couldn't be.

*Our next stop was Mystic Mansion. Which was an old abandoned castle that the locals said was haunted. We entered the castle & found ourselves in a garden full of creepy plants*

Tails: Sonic, you sure this is the right way?

Sonic: I saw Eggman head this way. This has gotta be the right way.

Tails: But it's so spooky here.

Knuckles: Maybe . . . That was the ghost of Eggman we saw earlier.

Tails: Wha . . . ! Stop it, Knuckles!

*I hugged him to calm him down*

Ayla: Knuckles, that's enough! He'll have nightmares!

Knuckles: Relax, I'm just kidding.

*We zoomed into the castle, fighting against robots. At different points, we found these weird devices that teleported us to different parts of the castle when flipped upside down. Parts of the floor seemed to be floating in the air. Flames, both orange & purple floated on the walls. We fought plenty of robots in & outside the castle. We traveled through the castle until we made it to Mystery Mansion, which was just as robot infested as the castle*

Knuckles: What a castle.

Tails: I wonder what's next.

Sonic: Feels like Halloween with all these ghosts.

Ayla: Or a place a witch could live.

*The whole mansion seemed to be decorated in Eggman's personal style, espresso with all the statues of Badniks & booby traps. We also found those devices that teleported us & turned the place upside down. We traveled through hallways that curved like snakes & went underground on a rail track. At one point we found a giant statue of skeleton that held plates in each hand. The hands changed positions when we touched the flip devices. Knuckles used his fists to punch doorways when we got trapped in the dungeon. We also faced a Super Badnik, but we defeated it with a combo move. It also had the purple Chaos Emerald inside. We started to leave the castle, but then Eggman appeared in his Egg-Mobile*

Sonic: Tryout to stop us now? What a joke!

Dr. Eggman: What did you say!? Now I'm really mad! *he pressed a button on his Egg-Mobile* Get them!

*A swarm of robots appeared & surrounded us

Ayla: Payback time, Eggs-for-Brains! You guys ready!?

Sonic: Ready, sis!

Tails: Alright!

Knuckles: Ready!

Dr. Eggman: Mash them all!

*In no time at all, we defeated the robots, using a combo move at one point, while Eggman flew away*

Sonic: That's another victory for us!

Ayla: Yeah, but it's not over yet. Now we've got two days left to figure out Eggman's plan and stop him.

Knuckles: Ayla's right. Let's get going.

*And we all ran out of the castle*

(Shadow's POV)

*After Rouge, Omega, & I defeated Eggman's Egg Emperor at Hang Castle, we saw Eggman trying to fly away in his Egg-Mobile with an Egg Prison attached to it*

Omega: EGGMAN TERMINATION.

*He fired his blaster at the Egg-Mobile & fell towards the ground. It crashed & we ran towards it. Eggman was laying next to the wrecked Egg-Mobile. Just then, he started laughing & his head popped off with a spring*

Rouge: It was a fake!?

Omega: AFFIRMATIVE. THE REAL EGGMAN IS NOT HERE.

*I didn't say anything & went to check out the cargo capsule. I tore the door off & looked inside. My eyes went wide*

Shadow: Rouge. You might want to see this.

*She & Omega came up to the capsule. Her eyes went wide*

Rouge: Topaz! *laying on the floor of the capsule was Chris Thorndyke & Topaz, our fellow agent at G.U.N. Rouge went to Topaz & I went to Chris* Topaz! Are you okay!?

Shadow: Chris, are you alright?

*They both started to open their eyes & groaned*

Chris: Shadow . . .? Wh - Where are we?

Shadow: We're in Hang Castle.

Topaz: Ugh . . . Rouge?

*Rouge held up 3 fingers*

Rouge: How many fingers am I holding up?

Topaz: Uh . . . 3?

Rouge: Okay, so you don't have any head injuries, but do you remember how you got here?

Topaz: . . . The last thing I remember . . . I was in my apartment, getting ready for a mission. When suddenly, a green smoke started to fill the room. I began to feel dizzy, so I started to reach for my phone to call for help. But then everything went black.

Chris: The same thing happened to me. Only I was in my bedroom when the green smoke came in. I started to reach for the door to get help, but everything went black.

Omega: FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND, YOU WERE PUT TO SLEEP AND THEN CAPTURED BY EGGMAN.

*Chris & Topaz looked at Omega in surprise*

Topaz: Uh . . . Rouge. What is that?

Omega: I AM E-123 OMEGA. THE MOST POWERFUL OF THE E-100 SERIES.

Chris: You mean like those robots Eggman created during the Chaos Incident.

Rouge: Yep. Apparently, Eggman abandoned him to guard his weapons in one of his hidden vaults.

Chris: That's awful.

*Topaz got up & took out her walkie-talkie*

Topaz: Okay. I better call the Commander and tell her what happened. I'll also see if she can arrange a ship to get Chris home.

Chris: But why can't I come too?

Rouge: Sorry, kid. But if Eggman's involved, it might get too dangerous for you.

Chris: But I'm a Freedom Fighter!

Shadow: You're a Freedom Fighter "trainee". Which means you're not ready for any official missions.

Omega: AND THE BATTLEFIELD IS NO PLACE FOR A SMALL AND WEAK HUMAN CHILD.

Chris: Hey! I may be a kid, but I'm not weak!

*Topaz put a hand on his shoulder*

Topaz: I'm sorry, Chris. But they're right. Look, I promise. You'll get your chance when the time comes. But for now, stay here. I've already called HQ and they're sending someone to pick up up now. Besides, from what I heard over the radio, your parents are pretty worried about you. And it doesn't help that your sister has also gone missing.

Chris: Wait. Molly's gone missing?

Topaz: Yes. But that still doesn't mean you're coming.

*Chris still looked like he wanted to argue, but sighed*

Chris: Okay.

Shadow: Good. Stay put and don't even think about following us because I will know.

*Chris sat on the rock*

Topaz: I'll stay with him until the ship arrives and catch up with you all later.

Rouge: You got it. See you later!

*With that said, we took off. Ready to stop whatever plot Eggman had this time*
