Target: Sonic & Ayla

(Ayla's POV)
*It's been a few days since Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, & I defeated Neo Metal Sonic & Metal Ayla. Today, well it was actually night, zooming down a highway outside Station Square while being chased by an unknown vehicle*
Ayla:*in her mind* Man, this thing is fast! But why is it chasing us?
?:*off screen* Don't lose them! The Organizer will be furious if you do!
?:*off-screen* Relax. I won't lose them!
Sonic: I like your style, pal! But let's see if you can keep up with - *I pressed the button on my board with my foot & the rope came out. Sonic grabbed it & went faster with me hanging on* This! Aw! That was too easy! Now I'm ready for our next - *suddenly, we were ambushed by three Laser Hunters* challenge!
Ayla: You just had to say something, didn't you!?
Sonic: Yeah, me and my big mouth! *the robots led us back to the vehicle* Looks like we're stuck between a 'bot and a fast pace!
Ayla: Sonic, it's time to think fast!
*Sonic jumped over the vehicle with me still holding on*
Sonic: Of course, I always think fast. Everything I do is fast. *then he headed towards an exit ramp, letting go of the rope* Catch you later, Champ. This is our exit!
*Suddenly, four metal clamps came out of the ground around us. As they closed, green glass came up, trapping us*
Ayla: Whoa! It's some kind of prison!
Sonic: Thank you, Miss Obvious! *just then, it started spraying green gas* Puh! And now gas! I'm getting . . . Really . . . *we both got sleepy* Tired . . . Of . . . This . . .
Ayla: S - Sonic . . .
*Then everything went black*
*When I opened my eyes, I felt something on my wrists & ankles. I looked to my right & saw my brother next to me. I shook him*
Ayla: Sonic! Sonic, are you okay?
*He slowly woke up*
Sonic: Ayla . . .? Where . . .? *suddenly, a bright spotlight hit us* Whoa! Easy with the brights! What's going on here?
*I looked & saw we were chained to the floor. Then I saw six men sitting at a table in front of us. My board, in it's cube form, was on the table in front of the one in the middle*
?: You and you sister have been captured because you're both a menace to the world, Sonic the Hedgehog. And we're here to stop you.
Sonic: Menace? Us? But we save the world. A lot.
Ayla: Uh . . . Sonic. Something tells me these people wouldn't agree with you.
*More lights turned on & I immediately recognized the men sitting at the table in front of us. The only one I didn't recognize was a fat man with black hair, black eyes, peach skin, & wearing red suspenders over a white shirt & attached to tan pants, & black shoes
Card Passer: She's right. That's just a tired excuse for helping to run the world ragged with Dr. Eggman. There's no other explanation for your actions! Lucky for us, the Organizer found and brought us together. Kindred spirits, all ruined by the both of you!
Sonic: I don't know what your talking about. I don't recognize any of you guys. The shadows don't help matters.
Card Passer: You impudent little . . .!
Ayla: Actually, Sonic. I recognize most of them. Card Passer, former head of C.H.I.P. Hector Dragg, former member of the Speed Team. Howard Watcher, former warden of Prison Island. Doctor Kai Narasu, a former scientist until he was laughed out of his practice. And Jerome Wise, the President's former aide.
Card Passer: Well, glad to know one of you has been pay attention. Like she said, I was once head of C.H.I.P. The Covert Lateral International Program. We did the dirtiest of work for G.U.N. The short-sighted President ordered G.U.N. to call a truce with Dr. Eggman. I knew I had to act. I tried to take over and make sure that all your Mobian threats were destroyed! But you two and your buddies interfered! I was arrested and treated like a criminal! Even when Organizer freed me, I wouldn't have gotten away without -
Hector Dragg: Hector Dragg at their service. I used to be part of the Station Square Speed Team. I was Sam's biggest rival for fastest man alive. Until you two showed up! You two bumped me to fourth place! I tried everything to out-race both of you and Same Speed. Sam said I was getting reckless. That I was endangering lives. So he fired me. But I've got you with the help of . . .
Howard Watcher: Howard Watcher, Warden extraordinaire! Nobody had ever escaped under my watch at Prison Island! Nobody! But then, Sonic, you staged your little disappearing act with your sister's help! I don't care if you had outside help! I don't care if Doctor Eggman was on your side or not! Nevermind that the whole island got blasted! No, you escaped, and that's the end of it! You two ruined my career!
Dr. Kai Narasu: Just like you ruined mine, Sonic! Doctor Kai Narasu used to be a name that had respect! I was the leading Professor of biological studies! When you appeared, I based my career on a paper proving you had to be a robot. When you had the gall to be a living being, I was laughed out of the University! I lost my tenure! I could no longer research my Chimera Projects! I lost all my funding! All because of you!
*Sonic & I both turned to the fat man next to the former Professor*
Sonic: What about you, big guy? Like Ayla said, I know we've never met you.
Li Yan: You have not, I doubt the Li Yan means anything to either of you. Your friend Knuckles the Echidna slipped through the grasp of my gang and took a Chaos Emerald I was looking for. I won't stand for that kind of embarrassment, and I'll get back at him through you both, if need be.
Jerome Wise: And there's me. I'm glad to see you still remember me, Ayla. I was the President's top aide until your brother's stubbornness forced me to make a deal with Dr. Eggman. Because you and your friends couldn't keep your noses out of my business, I was fired and disgraced. I was left on the street with no hope. I had no direction. I couldn't even get anywhere in that Fighting Tournament last year where your buddy Emerl went berserk. I had everything. Because of you two, I lost everything. Because of you two, I -
Card Passer: Knock it off and get on with it, Jerome!
Jerome Wise: Keep! Yessir! My name is Jerome Wise. And I came up with the name of our shadowy organization.
Sonic: Hoo boy! This ought to be good.
Ayla: Here it comes . . .
Card Passer: We are the Society for . . .
Howard Watcher: Observing and . . .
Hector Dragg: Neutralizing . . .
Dr. Kai Narasu: . . . Inner-planetary . . .
Li Yan: Creatures . . .
Jerome Wise: And Xenomorphs.
*A banner appeared behind them that showed everything that was told to us. Sonic & I both read what the names spelled*
Sonic: Wait . . . The Society for . . . *we both let out a snort. Then we fell to the floor laughing* So you guys are our fan club!? I don't know what the "X" is for, but -
Ayla:*laughing* Oh my god! You gotta be kidding me!
*We kept laughing*
Card Passer: What's so funny!?
*Sonic wiped away a tear & I was still giggling*
Sonic: Oh, come on . . . The Society for Observing and Neutralizing Interdimensional creatures and Xenomorphs?
Ayla: S.O.N.I.C.X.?
*The other four men glared at Jerome*
Jerome Wise: I - I - I didn't know! I spent days on the Internet trying to come up with that!
Sonic: Well, that was good for laugh. Now, then . . . *he did a spin dash & broke his chains while I activated my Ring Blades, breaking mine* We're outta here!
*I quickly grabbed, activated my board, & we zoomed out of the room*
Ayla: So long, Chumps!
Li Yan:*off-screen* Bruiser Boys! The Hedgehogs are loose! Get them!
*Four tough guys stood in the middle of the hallway, ready to fight us*
Bruiser Boy #1: Don't worry, Boss! They won't get past us!
*Sonic used a spin dash to knock em over like bowling pins with me right behind him*
Bruiser Boy #2: Ugh! Anybody get the number of that cannon ball?
Card Passer:*off-screen* Don't let them get away!
Howard Watcher:*off-screen* You and your sister are on my home turf now, Sonic! I've got my best traps and robots here!
*Parts of the wall opened & metal arms came out*
Sonic: We've filled our being-caught-quota for the year, Watcher!
*We were stopped by more Laser Hunters*
Ayla: And your "best robots" look more like Dr. Eggman's rejects!
*Sonic jumped on a G.U.N. Beetle*
Sonic: Thanks for the fun night out, though! We'll have to do it again sometime. NOT! *he used the laser on the Beetle, to create a hole on the ceiling & we flew out of there, which revealed that we were on the remains of Prison Island* See ya! Thanks for the ride home!
Ayla: Have a nice life!
(Third-Person POV)
*Meanwhile, outside the Thorndyke Mansion, Chris, the Freedom Fighters, Tails, Amy, Knuckles, Chaotix, & Team Dark were gathered, getting ready for a mission. Chris was wearing a football helmet & holding a golf club*
Chris: All right, everyone. Sonic and Ayla have been missing since that crazy car chase three hours ago. We're going to load up the X Tornado and Twister and search until we find them!
Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Freedom Fighters, & Chaotix: Right!
Rouge: We're with you kid.
Omega: AFFIRMATIVE.
Topaz: We're ready.
*Shadow just nodded*
Molly: Who knows what dangers we may face? But we'll do our best find Sonic and Ayla and rescue - them?
*Just then, Sonic & Ayla flew in, on her board & a G.U.N. Beetle*
(Ayla's POV)
*The Beetle was destroyed as Sonic landed in the driveway*
Sonic: Hi, guys! What's for dinner?
Ayla: Sorry to worry you all.
*Sally, Tails & Amy both jumped on Sonic, hugging him. Sally got in a kiss on his cheek before Amy could. Amy glared at her. I got hugged by Dulcy & Charmy. Vector & Espio stood next to me*
Tails & Sally: Sonic!
Amy: You're okay!
Sonic: Of course we are!
Charmy: Ayla, yay!
Dulcy: We were so worried!
Vector: Glad to see you're okay, kid.
Espio: We had thought the worst.
Chris: . . . I wanted to lead a mission . . .
*Bunnie patted his shoulder*
Bunnie: Don't worry, Sugar. You'll get another chance.
Antoine: Oui. There will be other missions.
Rotor: Yeah, so don't worry about it.
*Chris didn't say anything & just kicked away th football helmet in frustration. Knuckles & Team Dark started to leave*
Knuckles: Looks I left Angel Island for nothing.
Topaz: I'd better call the Commander and tell her this was a false alarm.
Rouge: I can't believe I missed the newest episode of Project Runway for nothing.
Omega: I DESIRE SOMETHING TO SHOOT TO EASE MY DISAPPOINTMENT.
Molly: Well, at least we know they're okay.
*Shadow gave me a side glance & followed after his team*
Sonic: Actually, guys, you might want to hear who we ran into tonight.
Ayla: It's a long story.
*We all gathered in the mansion dinning room & we told everyone what happened while Sonic was eating a plate of chili dogs*
Chris: That's so unfair! None of their reasons are really your fault!
Amy: Or they were jerks to begin with!
Knuckles: I'll need to find Hawk and warn him about Li Yan. Thanks, Sonic.
Sonic: Sure thing, Knuckles.
Shadow: We'd also better tell the Commander and the President about Card and Watcher.
Rouge: Yep. They're going to love this.
Tails: It'll be okay, though. We can handle anything they throw at us!
Vector: Yeah. Those losers don't a chance against us.
Charmy: We can handle anything they try!
*Espio nodded*
Sally: Besides, they're all just upset because they can't take responsibility for their actions.
Bunnie: Sho'nuff. No doubt jealous too.
Antoine: Oui. I wouldn't worry about it.
Rotor: And compared to Eggman's robots, anything they could scrap together wouldn't even be worth taking apart.
Dulcy: I can roast and freeze any of those losers, any day.
Sonic: I dunno, guys. That many wackos with all those resources and connections?
Ayla: Yeah. They might turn out to be a real threat.
