C13: Recapping A Trick.
It was now night time as Ebony walked over to her red two-door 1950s Lead Sled car and got her keys out of her purse, with the Grahams and Fosters' rented vehicles parked outside, which were a white car and a green car. She pressed the unlock button on her black key-chain device, un-locking the car, and she opened the driver-door and got inside, followed by closing the door.
The 64-year old governor sat her purse in the front passenger-seat, pressed another button on the device that locked the car back, and then inserted the big key into the ignition.
Ebony got her phone out of her purse and typed up a text that read
Thanks for the save, Snowmella. I'm in the car and on my way home to my place right now. See you at work tomorrow.
Ebony sent the text to Snowmella's phone and received back a text from her that said
No problem. See you there.
Ebony then thought back to what she had briefly re-discussed with Snowmella at the kids poor house.
Outside the Snowville Kids Shelter, Ebony, wearing her green fur-coat and green gloves-her purse on her right arm, stood by her red 50s Lead Sled car parked on the right side of the road, talking with Snowmella on her cellphone about their plan to get her out of spending the night with her son and his family.
"Now remember, when the family and i sit down at the dining-room table to eat, that's when you text me that something is wrong at the mall and that you need me ASAP. I'll text you first and let you know when. Got it?" Ebony said.
"Got it." The voice of Snowmella said.
"Perfect." Ebony said.
Ebony didn't have to go to the mall. There was no reason to. It was all a trick she and Snowmella had discussed earlier before she left the kids poor house so she wouldn't have to spend a night with James and his family. And a successful one at that.
The governor placed her phone back inside her purse, turned the key in the ignition-starting the car, turned on the headlights, shifted the vehicle into reverse, backed up, put it in drive, and then turned around and drove off, heading for her home, which was further up in the snowy mountains.
