Investigation Part One
Third Person P.O.V.
The turtles were looking around on the 6th floor of Ultimate Toys after being shrunk down in size.
Donnie: This was not how i imagined this day would go.
Raph: That makes two of us.
Mikey: Dudes, from down here this place looks like toy central!
Leo: It would probably be that way at regular size too Mikey.
Dannie: It looks like every toy ever invented is here.
Just then, the speaker came on.
?: Good evening, this is Pericles Lear the store manager. Thank you for visiting Ultimate Toys! We are now closed for the day. Please take your final purchases to the nearest cashier and have a wonderful evening! We will see you again very soon.
Laptrap: Oh no! We're gonna be locked in a toy shop all night!
Raph: Ah, don't worry about that. The others will be here soon enough.
Leo: While we're waiting for them, let's get looking for clues and parts to build that Un-Shrinker.
The turtles began to make their way around the sixth floor. They eventually came up to some pipes that looked ridiculously tall.
Mikey: Dudes, are these pipes?
Raph: (after looking at them) They... actually are. What are these doing here?
While they were talking...
(growling)
Laptrap: Uh guys, do you hear something following us?
Donnie: These are pneumatic pipes. Unlike normal ones that carry liquids, these ones carry solid objects or recycled parts throughout the store by using compressed air.
(ruffling)
Laptrap: G-Guys! D-D-Don't tell you didn't hear that!
But nobody was listening to him.
Dannie: Sounds a pipe version of a vacuum cleaner to me.
Leo: That's one way of putting it.
Just then-
(screeching)
Laptrap: R-R-RAT!
A rat came out from hiding and was eyeing the turtles like a hungry predator.
Mikey & Dannie: (screams)
Raph: You gotta be kidding me!
Leo looks around for a solution and then got a brazen idea.
Leo: I got an idea! Follow me!
Leo grabbed onto the pipe and started climbing upwards. It wasn't easy since the pipe was smooth, but he managed to keep his grip. His brothers followed his lead.
Mikey: Dudes, the rat's climbing after us!
Everyone looked down and saw it climbing up, slowly but surely.
Raph: Hopefully, you got a plan of sorts besides running, or climbing.
Leo: I do!
Leo reached a mid-point and opened a lid to the pipes.
Donnie: Uh, Leo, that goes into the pipeways. It's like a maze on the inside, you could get lost in there.
Leo: Would you rather deal with a maze or a rat that's 2-3 times bigger than you?
He said and pointed at the rat before taking the leap and going in the pipe ways.
Dannie: Hate to say it, but he has a point.
Dannie was the next to jump in after him, followed by a reluctant Donnie.
Mikey: Well, on the bright side, maybe we can do some skydiving in reverese.
Raph: Just go!
Raph kicked Mikey into the pipes and then jumped in after. Laptrap was the last to approach.
Laptrap: There are so many things wrong with this, I don't even know where to start!
Laptrap went in the pipe just before the rat could reach him and the turtles were traveling through the pipe ways. Eventually they reach a spot that split into 3 paths
Dannie: Whew. Man, that was one fun ride.
Donnie: Fun for you maybe, if you like being chased by giant rats.
Leo: Well, we can't relax yet. That rat could be following us in the pipes.
Raph: So what's the plan? You already got us into these damn pipes.
Leo: We just have to pick a pipe and keep going.
Donnie: Well, these pipes each have symbols labeled on them.
Mikey: That supposed to mean something?
Dannie: Let's pick a path and find out, and fast too.
So the turtles picked the red pipe ways and were taken to another space. When they got there, there were three more pipe ways and each one had one symbol.
Raph: Red huh? My kind of color.
Dannie: Guess so.
Donnie: Look at these pipes, guys. These news ones only have one symbol on them. Where did the previous ones go?
Leo looked around and saw them on the ground they were standing on.
Leo: Down there, we're standing on them. It seems like one of these new ones belongs to the ones down here.
Dannie: Like a pattern of sorts?
Donnie: Could be.
Raph: Well, then we better pick the right one and fast too. We don't time to stand around, we gotta act fast so we don't become a rat's dinner.
Dannie: Shall we solve this for them, Donnie?
Donnie: Is there any other way?
So the turtles began making their way through the pipeways, solving the patterns that were labeled in them and avoiding the rat chasing after them. At oen point during the escapade...
Mikey: Dudes, look!
Mikey ran towards what looked like a paper clip.
Raph: A paper clip?
Dannie: What's there to be excited about?
Leo: Hold on a moment.
Leo pulled out the slip of paper with the materials listed for the Un-Shrinker.
Leo: We actually need some paper clips for the Un-Shrinker.
Raph: Seriously?
Donnie: If Laptrap came up with the idea, we could do worse than to follow his instructions. We certainly don't know how to build an Un-Shrinker on our own.
Laptrap: (to himself) For once, they're actually listening to my ideas.
Raph: Do we really need paper clips for the Un-Shrinker?
Leo: See for yourself Raph.
Leo held the paper up for Raph to see. Once he saw it...
Raph: You can't be serious.
Donnie: It is what it is.
Raph had no choice but to relent, giving Mikey cause to happily pick up the paper clip.
Leo: We're gonna need to collect two more for the Un-Shrinker.
Dannie: Which means more pipe surfing then.
Mikey: Aw yeah dudes! We're gonna own these tubes.
So the turtles continued their adventure through the pipes while gathering paper clips for the Un-Shrinker.
Meanwhile...
The Kung Fu Warriors had their way through the floor to the elevator to get to the turtles. Inside was a picture of an old man, the floor numbers displayed, a number board, an emergency button, and a robotic face with green eyes, pink cheeks, red bits on the side to represent ears and a bowtie. Once they got inside...
Tigress: Okay, now to get to higher ground.
?: Welcome to Ultimate Toys, where everything's a game. I'm Eldon, the talking elevator.
Everyone looked up above the door to see the source of the voice.
Crane: Eldon, we have to get to the sixth floor. It's urgent.
Eldon: Excellent choice. The sixth floor is the best floor in the store. I'll be happy to take you there... tomorrow. When the store reopens.
Viper: But we can't wait that long. Our friends are trapped there and we need to get them out.
Eldon: (sighs) How many times have I heard that excuse? Unfortunately, the store's after-hours security system won't let me go straight to the sixth floor. So, in order to move up one floor, you must play my after-hours game.
Mantis: What?!
Monkey: Seriously?
Danny: Now you're a game-playing talking elevator?
Serena: Don't mind them, Eldon. How do we play?
Eldon: All you have to do is answers my questions by selecting answers from my grid. When you connect 5 answers on the grid horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, we will be oon our way to a new floor.
Eldon: Oh, what fun we will have.
Danny: Sounds like a game of 'Bingo' to me.
Tigress: Do we really have time to be playing?
Viper: We don't have much of a choice if we want to help the guys.
Serena: Look at this way, Tigress. If we go up one floor at a time, we can investigate each floor for clues and collect parts for the Un-Shrinker.
Po: That's a great idea. Plus, think of all the toys we'll see as well.
Crane: Maybe later, Po.
Tigress: Alright, fine. Let's just get this game over with.
So everyone got to it and played Eldon's game. Once they got 5 in a row...
Eldon: Five in a row! Elevator goinnnnng up!
(Beeping)
The board cleared and everyone felt themselves going upwards.
Tigress: Finally! All that playing for one floor.
Danny: Even games are not meant to be easy.
Once the reached the first floor, everyone got off and saw a bunch of robotic toys right away.
Po: Whoa!
Monkey put a hand on Po's shoulder
Monkey: Easy buddy.
Serena noticed a bag in the center of the floor and went to it.
Serena: Hey guys, look here.
She picked up a cable to look at it. She then felt something land on her nose.
Serena: Huh?
Mantis: Got something on your face, Serena?
Serena: Yeah.
When she picked it off...
Serena: Hey, isn't this Mikey's wallet?
Everyone got a closer look at it and saw that it was his wallet. They then realized it was the same cable car they traveled on.
Po: Money sure doesn't go as far as it used to.
(everyone except Tigress chuckles)
Tigress: At least we're on the right track.
Crane: Agreed. But i have to say, all this electronic equipment... (gestures to the shelves) These are toys fit for Donnie, no doubt about it.
Alitrap: I love toys!
Just then, a robotic dog ran up to the gang and put it's paws on Danny and barked.
Danny: Whoa!
Serena: Aww, so cute!
Serena got down to her knees and held out her arms. The dog ran to her and licked her face.
Serena: (giggles) Isn't he adorable?
(robodog yaps)
Tigress: Not with all that yapping it's doing. I thought these things were more intelligent.
Crane: Tigress, making a toy dog like this is no easy feat to make. It's an electrical accomplishment.
Tigress: Really?
Po: How so?
Crane: I'll save the lecture for another time.
Danny: If it's an electrical accomplishment, let's see what it can offer.
Serena: I have an idea. (looks to the dog) Roll over, boy!
(dog lies on it's back and pants rapidly)
Po: Look at that! He does tricks!
Monkey: Seems that way.
Viper: Think it might have a chip it can spare?
Mantis: I can handle that.
Mantis took his pincers and opened up a panel in it's belly. Once he did, a chip popped slightly outward.
Mantis: Looking for this, are we?
Tigress: A smart chip. That will definitely come in handy for the Un-Shrinker.
So the gang collected the chip and put in Danny's bag.
Tigress: I'll contact the turtles.
She activates the video phone and contacts the turtles.
Donnie: Hello?
Tigress: Guys, we managed to reach the first floor.
Po: We also found Mikey's mini wallet and the cable car we rode in.
Mikey: You found my wallet?!
Danny: It's tiny sized, i can tell you that.
Danny held up the tiny wallet to the video phone. It looked like a dot on the tiger's finger.
Mikey: Awwww.
Raph: Ah, don't worry. We'll get you another wallet once we get the heck out of here.
Leo: Were there any clues on the first floor?
Crane: Just the cable car was all we saw. Someone here is definitely into shrinking things.
Viper: They might have a connection to this store.
Donnie: I thought that too. We get shrunk and end up inside Ultimate Toys? Only someone who works here would make the most sense to explain that.
Serena: Right. For now though, we'll try to reach you guys as soon we can. Stay safe!
Dannie: You too!
CLICK!
Tigress: Onto the next floor.
Everyone went back to the elevator for the next floor.
