In Class 1-M's dormitory...
Marinette ran up to her dorm room without looking at anyone else. Everyone tried to catch her attention, but all she wanted to do was go to her room. She held onto her backpack very tightly as she entered the elevator. Marinette felt like she could finally relax when the doors closed behind her. She slid down the wall of the elevator and sat there silently.
"Tikki... I really messed up..." Marinette said to her.
"You did your best Marinette," Tikki said back as she floated right in front of her face, "Kyouka just needs some time to figure things out."
"But Tikki... Kyouka kissed Adrien," Marinette said back, "Even if she almost got akumatized, that still doesn't change the fact that Kyouka kissed Adrien behind my back."
"Marinette. You can't expect her to get over something like this so easily," Tikki said to her, "Clearly Kyouka still likes Adrien."
"No Tikki. She doesn't just like him, she's in love with him," Marinette said back to her Kwami.
The elevator doors opened to find Adrien standing there with wide eyes. Marinette froze in place with tears running down her face when she didn't even notice them. She stumbled to get up and grabbed her backpack.
"A-Adrien! I-I'm sorry for hogging the elevator! Y-You can use it now," Marinette said as she moved out of the way.
Before she could leave him behind, he grabbed her wrist rather gently. She turned back around but tried to avoid eye contact with him. She really didn't want to talk to him right now, especially after what she had just found out.
"Marinette... you know about Kyouka...?" Adrien asked her, sounding a little nervous.
They stood there in silence, and Marinette didn't know what to do in that moment. She really didn't feel like talking about it, and yet she wanted to know what happened between them. She at least deserved to know about that.
"Yes. I do," Marinette said back, "Kyouka told me."
She could tell that Adrien was a little tensed up from her finding out. Marinette just wanted to go take a shower and call it a day. Her feet weren't listening to her, so she kept going at it.
"Adrien. I'm not mad at you," Marinette said to him, "But I do have to wonder, did you feel anything when she kissed you?"
Adrien seemed to relax, which definitely made Marinette wonder what he was feeling in that moment. He gently took her hands and smiled at her.
"I like Kyouka, but when she kissed me, I realized that I like her as friend and only a friend. I had a great time dating her, but something about it did feel like it wasn't going to last for very long. Once we started going out, it reminded of those days of when I first met you. As both Ladybug and Marinette. I just couldn't stop thinking about how amazing you were when I first stumbled into you, or when I gave you that umbrella. Something about it just clicked. Marinette..." Adrien said to her as his hands tightened around hers.
"I love you."
Marinette's heart fluttered as he said those words right to her. Something about that made her melt into his hands. She couldn't help but cry happy tears and felt so relieved to finally have him right here. He wiped her tears away very gently, but she jumped into his arms and held onto him. He embraced her tightly, and they both hugged in the hallway for a long time.
She felt so much better as she held onto him. All she wanted was to hug him and feel his warmth all around her. She looked up to see him only inches away from her face. Marinette smiled and leaned into him and kissed him so passionately that he kissed her back. Marinette felt his arms embrace her as she pulled him closer. Adrien kept kissing her which made Marinette heat up a little bit.
"Adrien, I... I love you too," Marinette said back under her breath.
They both smiled at each other, and Adrien kissed her back. Marinette still couldn't believe that he was actually falling in love with her. He held onto her as she kissed him back and even laughed at how cute they were together. Once they pulled away from each other, Marinette already wanted to get back to kissing and hugging him.
Then Marinette remembered the situation they were both in.
"Adrien. What about Kyouka?" Marinette asked him, "She still loves you."
"Well, we can still be friends," Adrien said to her, "But right now, she might need some space. I'm sure Class 1-A will handle it."
Marinette wanted to go back there and do something to help, but Adrien was right. She needed to give Jirou some space. For now, she just needed to go back to her room and do some homework.
"You're right," Marinette said as she let out an exhale, "I have to do my homework anyway."
Once she realized that she was on her floor, she noticed that Adrien was here as well. She smiled at him with a knowing look.
"Adrien, what were you doing on my floor?" Marinette asked him.
Adrien looked a little red and forgot that he was even on this floor in the first place. Marinette noticed how flustered he was and couldn't help but laugh at how funny he looked. Her laughing just made him even more red in the face.
"W-Well, I-I was just waiting for you. I know that you were with Melissa, so I thought I--"
Marinette kissed him on the cheek to stop him from babbling, which totally worked. She smiled at him and her hand slipped out of his.
"I've gotta do my homework. Why don't you get something to eat?" Marinette asked him, "Maybe we can do our homework together."
Adrien smiled back and shook his head very eagerly. He ran over to the elevator and went down to the common room. Marinette laughed as she went back to her room. She entered and placed her backpack onto the floor.
"Tikki. You're probably right about Kyouka," Marinette said to her Kwami, "She just needs to talk things over with her friends."
Tikki smiled at her and gave her a big hug on her cheek Marinette hugged her back and smiled back at her. She soon took out her homework, ready for a little study date with Adrien.
In Class 1-A's dormitory...
Jirou sat at the couch, feeling really bad for what she did. She felt bad for kissing Adrien and felt even worse for telling Marinette about it. She made something amazing for her and now she just ruined it by telling her that she's in love with Adrien.
"Here you go," Yaoyorozu said to Jirou.
Yaoyorozu handed her another cup of iced tea to help her calm down. Almost everyone was sitting in the common room helping Jirou out. Midoriya and Uraraka were worried about Marinette, but they really wanted to be sure that Jirou was okay. She was the one who was almost akumatized after all.
"How are you feeling Jirou?" Uraraka asked her.
Jirou took a big sip of her iced tea, feeling much better. She looked around to see almost of all her classmates were here to support her.
"I-I'm feeling okay," Jirou said back, "I just... I just can't believe that I almost got akumatized... again."
"Wait, you've been akumatized before?" Kaminari asked her.
"Yeah... Back in Paris..." Jirou confessed to the ones that weren't there.
Jirou thought about it some more and realized that she had broken up with Adrien that same day. Something about it made her wonder what it would be like if she had never broken up with him in the first place. All she could do was stare at her drink, hoping that everything was okay between her and Marinette.
"Since you guys don't know... I kind of dated Adrien for a while..." Jirou confessed to her classmates who weren't there in Paris.
All of them started to get closer to Jirou, really curious as to how this happened.
"Jirou and Adrien? Well that's an interesting couple," Sero said to them.
"Never thought of you as someone to be dating a fashion model," Kaminari said back to her, looking a little flustered.
"I didn't really mean to date anyone there... It's just kind of happened after we saved Midoriya from HawkMoth... I helped him go through some tough things... I even helped him with Ladybug being akumatized and held onto the Black Cat Miraculous for a little while..."
"Oh yeah! You did mention that you used the Black Cat Miraculous in class this morning!" Ojiro pointed out.
"What was that like? His Miraculous seems pretty cool," Shouji asked her.
Jirou looked at her hand as if she were wearing his Miraculous at the moment. She smiled, remembering how good it felt to help him. Something about it made her feel so strong and so proud of herself during that rescue mission. All she wanted to do was help Cat Noir get Ladybug back to normal.
"It was actually pretty amazing. I felt stronger while wearing it. Adrien even used Ladybug's Miraculous to get Ladybug out of that akumatized state," Jirou said back.
"Now that is a hero costume that I need to see!" Mineta laughed out loud.
"So you and Adrien really dated? But didn't it feel weird to date him when Marinette was around?" Sero asked her.
Jirou took a sip of her iced tea, feeling a little refreshed. She still felt a little bad for what happened between them, but she couldn't help it.
"I guess somewhere along the way... We just started to like each other... It felt... Really good..." Jirou explained, "I just needed someone to get through being away from everyone... And Adrien just understood me... He went through a lot as a fashion model... Being shut away by his own father... Being told what he can and can't do all the time..."
"Wow. His father sounds like a real stick in the mud," Ojiro said to them.
"I felt bad for dating him since Marinette clearly liked him, but at the time I just didn't notice that at all... I was..."
"You were in love!" Ashido cried out, "You loved him! You should've seen her with him! They were so cute together! Eating ice cream together! Holding hands! Jirou's a total flirt when it came to Adrien!"
Jirou felt her face turn bright red when Ashido went on and on about her and Adrien. Something about her saying all of those things made her heart race and flutter all at once.
"Ashido! Please stop!" Jirou cried out, "I still love him, that's the problem!"
Everyone froze in place, shocked to hear her say that out loud. Jirou sat back down onto the couch and curled up by hugging her arms around her legs. She really wanted to not be in love with him, but she didn't know what to do.
Ashido sat next to her, realizing that she really did like him as more than a friend.
"Jirou. If you really love him, you should let him be happy," Ashido said back to her, "He's with Marinette now. They're partners in Paris, and they just work really well together. You had to have seen that coming just a little bit."
"Maybe a little," Jirou said to her, "I just... really wish that I could fall in love with someone else. Just to let go of Adrien."
Kaminari stepped up and came from behind the couch. She looked up to see Kaminari kneel down with a smile on his face. Something about the way his face lit up made her heart skip a beat.
"It's okay, Jirou," Kaminari said to her, "Whatever you're going through, we'll be here for you. We all want to help you get through this."
Jirou couldn't look away as he was only mere inches away from her face. She wondered what it was about Kaminari that made her feel this way. The more she looked at him, the more she felt comforted and relieved.
"I guess you're right. I should just let Adrien be happy," Jirou said to them, "He deserves it. He helped us a lot back in Paris."
Ashido smiled and gave her a big hug, and so did a lot of other classmates and friends. They all gathered around each other just to support Jirou, and it made her tear up a little. Once they all let go of her, Jirou noticed the headphones on top of the counter. She grabbed it and looked at the initials that Marinette had hand painted herself.
"She painted this..." Jirou said under her breath, "Marinette actually made this for me..."
"Don't forget that she made this awesome backpack amplifier!" Kaminari cried out, "You've gotta let me borrow this!"
"No way! I've been wanting something like this for a while," Jirou said back, "Besides, you'd probably get soda on it or something and ruin it."
"Yeah. You're probably right," Kaminari said to her as he rubbed the back of his head.
"I'm gonna bring these up to my room," Jirou said back as she put the backpack on and grabbed the headphones, "I'll be right back."
Jirou smiled at everyone in the common room and headed up to her room. Midoriya could tell that she was feeling better when he noticed her wipe her tears away. He really hoped that she felt a little bit better. Everyone got ready for dinner, and Yaoyorozu and Sato cooked up some ramen. Even Bakugo joined in to help cut some vegetables since they were taking forever to cut them.
Midoriya joined in setting up the table and noticed that Jirou hadn't come down in a while. It had been at least a half an hour. He looked at the elevator, hoping that it would open up at any moment. He felt like something was wrong, and he didn't know why.
Then everyone stopped in their tracks and heard a scream coming from the third floor. It was Jirou.
Everyone stopped what they were doing to listen. They all shared a terrified look on their faces.
"What just happened?" Yaoyorozu asked them, really worried.
After another minute of silence, everyone ran up to see what Jirou was doing. Only so many people could go into the elevator so Midoriya, Uraraka, Kaminari, Bakugo, Iida and Yaoyorozu went up first. They all worried about what just happened and thought that an akumatized villain showed up. Midoriya felt his leg shaking as he waited for the elevator to open. Once it opened, everyone ran out to see Jirou in the corner of the hallway. She looked terrified as an akuma was coming towards her.
They ran towards her to stop it, but then Midoriya noticed that it wasn't even moving. It was flying in place.
"Wait!" Midoriya cried out.
"Midoriya?! What're you doing?!" Iida cried out, "Can't you see that there's an akuma?!"
"Just hold on a second," Midoriya said back.
Midoriya walked up to the akuma very slowly and carefully. Jirou stayed very still and didn't move away from the corner of the room. Midoriya made his way closer to Jirou and pulled her away from it. Once she got away from the hallway corner, she ran towards Uraraka and Yaoyorozu. Midoriya stayed there and looked at the akuma a little more.
He noticed that it wasn't even coming near him. Not even a little.
"That's weird..." Midoriya said to himself, "It's not moving from its spot."
"Midoriya, what's going on?" Iida asked him.
"The akuma... it's not moving..."
Another amazing chapter!
This was a good one! Marinette has been fun to write when she's kind of having out bursts! I don't know why that's fun to write, maybe because it's kind of ridiculous, lol! But Tikki's there to support her! I actually love both Jirou and Marinette very much!! They are a lot of fun to write, I especially love the fact that Jirou is kind of leaning towards Kaminari... We'll see where that goes...
There's an akuma! It almost got Jirou again, but it's not moving??
What's going to happen next??
More to come soon!
