Spider-Man: LOUD Season 3 Chapter 3

"Rising Action"

Closing his locker, Lincoln starts walking toward his next class, "Lincoln!" he hears behind him.

Turning around he finds Jordan running up to him, wearing a yellow crop top and a short blue skirt, "Oh, what's up Jordan?" He asks, turning around.

She stops just in front of him, "Have you heard about the party yet?"

Looking confused, Lincoln cocks an eyebrow up and tilts his head to the side, "What party?"

"Well, I'm hosting a party this weekend, a little pre-graduation party!" She says, slightly bouncing up and down.

"Oh, that's cool, but we're not graduating, we graduate next year." He says, still mostly confused.

She waves her hand in dismissal, "Yeah, but we're still graduating our junior year!" She looks up at him, a smile beaming on her face, "I want you to be there! You can invite your friends too, since I know you only hang out with cool people."

He blushes slightly, "T-thanks Jordan, I'll make sure to tell them. Who else is invited?"

She thinks for a second, placing a finger on her chin, "Hmm, well…so far I've invited Mollie, Rachel, Cristina, some girls from the volleyball team, some girls from the soccer team, and…just now, you."

"Sounds like a lot of girls." He comments.

"Well, I don't talk to many boys besides you, and the only boy I talked to before you turned out to be…well…Chandler." She says, slight venom in her voice at the end.

"Oh…yeah, anyway, I'd love to come. Just text me the time." He says, trying to change subjects.

"Yeah, I will. See ya there." She giggles before running off.

Lincoln sighs heavily, watching her leave, before turning around and heading to his class.

Later that day Spider-Man swings through the city, texting his friends while doing so.

"A party sounds great! And it's mostly ladies ;)"

Rusty texted, causing the costumed teen to roll his eyes under his mask.

"As long as I'm with you guys it shouldn't be too bad."

Clyde responded.

"It's at 8:30 right? That should give me enough time to study for my bio final."

Stella replied.

"Is it okay if I also invite Max?"

Lincoln typed out, slightly biting his lip.

"I don't see why that'd be a problem, but isn't Max super anti-social?"

Stella texted.

"Yeah, the last thing we want is for her to get nervous or feel uncomfortable."

Clyde responded.

"I understand your guys' concern, but I have a plan, I'll try to hang out with her after school everyday and take her places, so then she can feel more comfortable around people, so by the time the party rolls around, she's a natural!"

Lincoln texts.

"Whatever gets more girls to the party"

Rusty responds.

Spider-Man lands on a building, putting his phone away, "Rusty and his girl obsession…really feel like we should talk to him about that."

He proceeds to jump from building to building, "I hope this party goes well, I don't wanna have to leave halfway through to go do Spider-Man stuff, like what happened with Lucy and Haiku."

He lands on a flagpole, looking down at a small intersection of cars driving through, "Plus there's the chance that I could get closer to Jordan…"

He thinks for a second as a speeding car runs a red light, cop cars tailing behind it.

Leaping off the pole, he starts pursuing the speeding vehicle, "I really wanna talk to her some more at this party, maybe even ask her on another date…"

He lands on top of the car, peeking his head to the driver's side window, "Y'all mind stopping the car? I've got some more monologuing to do, and you're interrupting me."

He says before the driver tries to punch at the hero, only to miss when he dodges it, "Alright, hard way it is."

Spider-Man flips to the front of the car and grinds his feet into the road, slowly bringing the car to a stop, the police finally catching up and arresting the driver, commenting about the car being stolen.

He leaps into the air, starting to swing again, "I really hope she likes me back…"

Lola stands in her bedroom, wearing a pink thong and a white t-shirt, she turns from multiple angles to see her growing butt.

"What's the matter Lols?" Lana asks.

"It's this thong…I don't know if it looks good or not." She says, grabbing her butt.

Lana looks down at her twins butt, "I didn't even know you had a thong."

"Oh, I bought it today, the nice woman at the counter helped me pick this one out." She says, a smile forming on her face for a second.

Lana inspects her sister's butt, kneeling down to get a better look at it, "Hmm, I think it looks great! It really accentuates how big it's getting!"

Lola blushes, "Oh thank you honey. It is getting quite big isn't it?" She says, wiggling her butt slightly.

Lana stands up and slaps Lola's butt, causing it to jiggle a lot, "Yeah, you'll be a dude magnet in no time!"

Lola blushes from the sudden contact, "Yeah, but there's only one boy I want the attention of…" She says, her eyes drifting off.

"Hm? Who would that be?" Lana asks, tilting her head to the side.

Lola giggles, waving a hand at her tomboy sister, "That's information that's on a need to know basis."

Lana puts her hands up defensively, "Okay, okay, I won't pry. Just know that I won't tell anyone."

Lola thinks this over for a second, "It's Lincoln."

The tomboy goes wide-eyed, "What?! You like Lincoln like that?! But he's our brother!"

Lola proceeds to wave her hands rapidly, "No no no! Not like that! I just want him to notice so that he see's how grown up we're getting. I just want him to know that his little sisters aren't so little anymore."

Lana chuckles, patting her twin on the back, "That makes much more sense, just don't go flashing him, 'kay?"

Lola rolls her eyes while smiling, "Of course, of course, now if you don't mind, I have some more poses to try out."

"Samantha…I know we've known each other for a long time…and we've been going out for a while…and I wanted to ask you a question…" A tall man says, standing on the shore of Royal Woods beach.

"Y-yes Chris?" Samantha asks, blushing while looking him in the eyes.

Chris gets to one knee and pulls out a box, opening the box reveals a small diamond ring, "Will you marry me Samantha? And make me the happiest man on the planet?"

Samantha gasps, putting her hands to her face, "Yes! Yes I will marry you!"

Chris stands up and hugs his now fiance, before they feel sand shifting beneath their feet.

Looking beneath them they see the sand moving, before they get flung away, the sand forming to create a man, "W-what the hell?!" Chris exclaims, before the couple gets up and runs.

The sand gains color, revealing none other than the Sandman, "Damn spider…ruining everything…"

He looks around before looking down, pulling out a locket with a girl's face in it, "Don't worry…I'll get that money for you Penny…"

Putting the locket back in his pocket, he starts walking slowly towards the city, sand shifting off his body.

"Are you sure you want to go through with this sir?" Dr. Stromm asked.

"Are you questioning my decision?" Norman replies, turning his head to look at the shorter man.

"No, of course not. I just think that this may be a little hasty." He says.

Norman eyes down Stromm, "Hasty you say? I think we need to get a move on with this little Spider-Man problem or else Oscorp will die."

"Sir, I highly doubt Oscorp will die due to a loss in sales from one product." Stromm replies.

"That's because you trust the numbers too much. You need exterior thinking beyond that. It's why you're a measly scientist and not head of a division." Norman states.

Dr. Stromm looks away, sighing, "Okay sir, it's your company, your decision"

"Good, I'm glad we didn't need to have this discussion." He takes a seat in the back of a limousine, before it drives off.

Dr. Stromm watches on as the limo drives off, "A tree falls the way it leans…so be careful which way you lean Mr. Osborn."

Lincoln walks down the hallway leading to all the bedrooms in the house, looking at all the empty rooms. A small smile appears on his face as he reminisces on the old times, the simpler times. Lori's constant texting, Leni's constant barrage of questions anybody her age should know, Luna's rock and roll, Luan's puns, Lynn constantly playing sports inside.

"Hey Lincoln." A voice from behind him talks quietly.

He turns around, seeing Lori standing there, in pajamas, "Oh, hey Lori. Shouldn't you be asleep?" Lincoln asks.

Lori giggles, "Yeah…but I could ask you the same thing."

He looks away, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly, "Yeah…I guess that's fair." He brings his attention back to his older sister, "So…why are you up this late?"

She looks over to the various doors that now lead to empty bedrooms, aside from the ones that she and Bobby were staying in, and the one that Sid and Ronnie-Anne finally agreed to stay in, "I don't know…just kinda felt like reminiscing."

"Don't I know the feeling." He says, looking across the doors.

"Remember that time you saved mine and Bobby's relationship? The time you agreed to go out with Ronnie-Anne just for me and Bobby?" She asks, almost out of the blue.

He cocks an eyebrow, looking at her, "Yeah, why do you bring it up?"

She smiles, "Just making sure you remember it." She looks back to him, "Or that time you thought Bobby was cheating on me, so you tried to tell me, all for it to be a big misunderstanding?"

He deadpans, "Yes. I remember that too. Is this just you replaying embarrassing memories in my head to make me feel bad or something?" He says, half-joking.

She giggles again, "No no…nothing like that…I just…" She looks down to the floor, "I've always appreciated how much you go out of your way for my happiness…or all of our sisters happiness."

He blushes and looks away, his hand returning to the back of his neck, "Oh…it's nothing. I just could never bear to see any of you upset."

"And that's why I appreciate it. You always have your own stuff going on, but that never stopped you from dropping it for our sakes." She says, an appreciative smile on her face.

"It really never was a problem. You girls were always much more special than I ever could be. So it was a no-brainer to help you all out." He says nonchalantly.

She gains a serious face for a moment, "Lincoln…you are just as special as we are. I don't wanna hear this talk from you." She places a hand on his shoulder, "I don't know what possesses you to make you think you aren't special."

He chuckles and looks away, "Me neither."

She takes her hand off his shoulder, "Well, I think it's about time we both head to bed." She turns around and starts to head for her bedroom, opening the door, "Night Lincoln."

"Night Lori." He replies, before she shuts the door behind her.

"If only he knew why he was here." She thinks to herself, leaning against the door.

"If only she knew what I'd done back then…how he's gone because of me." He thinks, walking back to his bedroom.

The next day, Spider-Man swings through the city, a backpack on his back, currently headed to school.

"Oh man, last time I ever stop for breakfast before school!" He exclaims to himself as he swings as fast as he can.

On the other side of the city, Flint Marko walked into a bank, the bank teller looking past the customer he was helping to see Flint, looking over at a wanted poster behind him with Flint's face on it. The man pushes a button under his desk to call the cops, before Flint raises his arm and shoots sand at the teller, knocking him unconscious, immediately everyone starts panicking, running out of the bank as Flint makes his way past the counter, another employee sounding the alarm.

Spider-Man swings through the city, cop cars blaring their sirens and lights rushing past on the adjacent street, the bank's siren now audible to the teen, "Ugh, why now?" He laments before switching his trajectory towards the bank.

"Looks like Lincoln's gonna be late again." Stella whispers to the group as the bell rings.

"And during the last week! We don't even have that much left!" Clyde exclaims.

"With how much he's been late this year I'd be surprised if he's even come to school for a whole week." Rusty mutters.

"Don't be like that. He might just be walking again." She stated.

Flint walked out of the vault with two large sacks of cash, the bank completely abandoned by this point.

"Y'know, you're lucky you even found real cash." Spider-Man said, depending upside down on a web line.

Flint groans, "You again? Shouldn't you be off getting a cat down from a tree?"

"That's not till 4, still got a few hours before then." Spider-Man jokes.

"Whatever, I gotta scram." Flint shoots a stream of sand at a window, breaking it.

"Oh no you don't!" Spider-Man shoots a web, covering up the window.

Flint groans, "Fine, you wanna fight? Then let's fight!"

Spider-Man flips off the web line and lands on the ground on all fours, raising his upper body to position himself on his knees he shoots two webs at Flint, who put holes in his chest where the webs would've made contact, now going through him.

Using the two webs he shot at Flint, Spider-Man pulls himself toward him, planting his feet onto his chest, "C'mon Flint, you can't keep doing this."

He could feel his feet sink deeper into his chest, "Do what? Get money?" Flint punches Spider-Man off him, causing him to fly out of the bank, crashing through the front doors.

He slowly gets to his knees, "Ugh…I really…really hate sand." He says before standing up fully.

Flint turns into a stream of sand, carrying the large bags of money out of the bank and down the road, "You won't get away that easily." The teen comments.

He chases after the trail of sand, "Y'know, you'd be way more inconspicuous if you weren't carrying a lot of cash with you, maybe if you dropped it I'd let you go!" He shouts at Flint, "Big emphasis on maybe!"

Spider-Man swings in closer, jumping off a web line and diving head first toward the trail of sand before his Spider-Sense goes off, doing a flip he avoids Flint materializing as a fist and lands behind him, taking the opportunity to web up one of the bags of money.

"Yoink! I'll be taking that!" He jokes.

He goes to jump off of the sand before realizing his feet are stuck in it, "Uh…not what I had in mind when it came to an escape plan…"

Quickly, pillars of sand rise up, grasping Spider-Man's limbs, forcing him to drop the bag of cash, "Finally." Flint says, making his human form appear in front of the superhero.

"I have you right where I want you." He says, pounding one of his fists into his other fist.

Spider-Man gulps, "If you're gonna kill me, do me a favor and make it fast?" He says jokingly.

Flint gains an appalled look on his face, "Kill you? Nobody ever said anything about killing you."

Spider-Man cocks an eyebrow in confusion, "Huh? I thought you wanted to kill me. That's why we're fighting, so you can kill me and escape with your money?"

Flint shakes his head, "No no, I may be a bank robber, but I ain't no killer. I'm only fighting you cause you're in my way. If you didn't get in my way I'd have no beef with you."

"Huh…I just kinda assumed everyone wanted to kill me." He says, looking away, noticing a fire hydrant.

"I'm sure most people do, I'm just in it for the cash." He says, raising his hand, turning it into a giant sledgehammer.

Spider-Man quickly shoots a web at the fire hydrant and rips it off the sidewalk, causing water to fire at Flint, melting him into mud.

"Not again!" Flint shouts as he slowly slides down a sewer drain.

Spider-Man hits the floor, noticing the cash still on the sidewalk, before quickly standing up and grabbing it, setting it back down in the bank.

He brushes off his hands, "Now that that's over…" He looks at his phone, noticing that first period is almost over, "Dammit! I need to hurry!"

He quickly exits the bank and swings away in the direction of Royal Woods High.

Landing on the rooftop he quickly tries to remove his costume in favor of his street clothes, struggling with every part.

"I'm here!" He shouts as he bursts through the door to his first period, right before the bell rings.

Everyone stands up and starts to leave, his teacher looking at him with a scowl, "That's 4 tardies in a month, I hope you enjoy detention, Mr. Loud." He says, sitting down at his desk.

Lincoln exhales, "I will." He says quietly.

In his limo, Norman Osborn scrolls through the news story of Spider-Man fighting Sandman, taking a sip of champagne, "Looks like he's been kept busy."

He sets the tablet down and looks out the window, "A shame he'll never reach my level…"

He closes his eyes and reminisces on his fight with the wallcrawler, "Maybe I'll play with my toy a little before breaking him."

He starts cackling, the limo driving off to an unknown location.

To be continued…
