Chapter 13: Back to the Roots, Part 1
In a remote desert somewhere, the Chimerian Hammer had its landing gear positioned on the sand. The entire ship had its security drones surrounding it and the exterior security systems active. Suddenly, a blue blur came zipping through the desert sands and stopped behind a rock revealing its appearance.
It looked like a regular female Kineceleran like XLR8, only with three fingers instead of claws. She has a light blue face, white eyes, black lips, stripes above and below her eyes, and a somewhat short, black conoid helmet that seems to be part of her head. She has legs similar to those of a velociraptor only with black orbs on her feet, and a light blue tail with two black lines on the end of it. She is wearing an earpiece with a com link and a green eye lense on her right ear for communication and a standard Plumber Suit. Her name is Helen Wheels, a human/Kineceleran hybrid and a member of a special Plumber team.
"Alright, I see Vilgax's ship. I'm ready to board it," Helen said, putting her finger on her earpiece.
"Great. When you board the ship, try not get spotted by any security drones, cameras, or anything else," a voice said from her earpiece.
"Cooper, you know how I am. I rush fast, but I stay aware of traps," Helen said on her com, "I'll be in and out in less than fifteen minutes."
With that, Helen sped from behind the rock and to the Chimerian Hammer. She went under the large battleship, avoiding being seen by the drones, and snuck into the ship from where the landing gear was. She crept through the vents and got out when the coast was clear.
Elsewhere…
In a different location, possibly a Plumber base, a teenage kid at the age of about 15 years was behind a computer seeing from Helen's view via the lense on her earpiece. He is somewhat muscular, and has fair skin, blue eyes, and shoulder-length light-blonde hair. He wore a light gray T-shirt underneath a purple sleeveless jersey with the number 3 written in yellow, a gold threaded necklace with a gold bead, black shorts, purple and yellow wristbands, white and purple shoes, and a Plumber badge on his right pectoral. His name is Cooper Daniels, he was the leader of this special Plumbers team.
"I'm in," Helen said from her com, "Now where would you say that the central mother computer is?"
"It's gotta be in the central computer room of the ship just below the main control room," Cooper said, "I'm sending you a map to that location."
Helen got the map on her lense and responded, "Got it. I'll try to be as discreet as I can."
"Great. The most discreet you usually get is camouflaged. Glad I chose you for this mission," Cooper said.
"Yeah, yeah. We get it. You picked her for a lame stealth mission. I could be discreet too you know," said a guy who appeared to be a Tetramand.
He is indistinguishable from a regular Tetramand with the exception of his head, which is more oblong, and his human height. He is also skinnier than a regular Tetramand, but he seems quite muscular by human standards. He has two pairs of arms with small spikes on his forearms and four fingers on each hand, a fairly large chin, a black stripe going from his chin to his lower lip and another going from the back of his head to between his eyes, and two pairs of orange eyes: a main pair and a smaller pair below them. He wears a Plumber Suit, and has a robotic prosthetic hand that looks similar to the rest of his hands in place of his lower left hand. His name was Manny Armstrong, a human/Tetramand hybrid who was also part of the team.
Cooper chuckled before saying, "Seriously? You, discreet? That'll be the day."
"Name one time I messed up a stealth mission," Manny said.
"Would you like that list in alphabetical or chronological order?" Cooper asked.
"Hehehe. Burn," a kid leaning against a wall said.
This kid was an African-American child with short black hair and dark brown eyes. He wears an orange hoodie that has a basketball in the middle surrounded by orange flames, a black undershirt, grey pants, white earrings, and black shoes and orange shoes. His name is Alan Albright, a human/Pyronite hybrid and another member of the team.
"Yeah, well you're always the one who gets burned," Manny said.
Alan switched to his Pyronite form. He was almost indistinguishable from Heatblast, however, Alan is shorter and thinner than Heatblast. He has a crack on his chest in the shape of a flame and his forehead is smaller than that of Heatblast.
"Okay like this," Alan said, "and it doesn't even hurt."
"Very funny," Manny said in a slightly annoyed tone.
"Keep it down guys, I'm trying to communicate with Helen," Cooper said.
Alan swapped back to human form and went over to the computer beside Cooper.
Back to the Chimerian Hammer…
Helen was speeding her way past security. She sneakily sped past the security drones, evaded the sight of the security cameras, and climbed into the vents when the situation called for more stealth. She soon found her way into the central computer room and went up to a large computer console with a fairly large screen.
"I assume this is the mother computer," Helen said through her com.
"Yep that's it. Now just get the data and get out of there," Cooper said to her.
"Piece of cake," Helen said.
Just then, Helen heard a door open and she hid in the vent in the ceiling. Albedo(in Galvan form) went through the door and entered the room.
"There's a Galvan with red eyes here," Helen whispered through her com.
"That's Albedo, you don't want to pick a fight with him. That Omnitrix-like device on his back is his Ultimatrix that allows him to turn into different aliens like Ben, but also their Ultimate forms," Cooper said, "Just wait for him to leave and get the data, or get it while he isn't looking."
Albedo was unaware that Helen was hiding and went in. And started fixing some of the computers.
"I am one of the greatest minds in the universe. I perfected the Ultimatrix and invented its evolutionary function, and Vilgax recruits me for what? Mere tech-support for simple technology!" Albedo said to himself, "At least when this is over, I will be given the chance to replace Azmuth as the one true mastermind of all things in the universe."
Albedo went to the far side of the room to tinker with the rest of the computers, and Helen decided to make her move. Helen snuck out of the vent and to the mother computer. She put a USB drive in a socket of the central console and began downloading the data while Albedo was preoccupied with mending the computers. When the data was done being downloaded into the USB, Helen took the USB drive out and put it in her pocket, noticed Albedo turning around, and hid under one of the desks. She waited until Albedo exited the room and got out of her hiding place.
"Okay, I got the data. Now I'm getting out of here," Helen whispered on her com.
Helen was about to exit the room, when Albedo, as XLR8, sped and stopped in front of the door. He looked like XLR8, only he had paler blue skin, red eyes, a red visor, and a red stripe, and Ultimatrix symbol on his chest.
"Going somewhere?" XLR8 asked with a smirk.
Helen decided to escape through the other door. She sped through the halls and Albedo followed her. She went past several drones that tried to reign fire on her and got out a pair of plasma rifles and shot the drones, destroying them. She then started aiming for XLR8, who easily evaded the attack and went for a punch, but Helen managed to dodge the attack and hit him in the back with her tail.
"You aren't escaping," XLR8 said.
"I beg to differ," Helen said, "I won't let whatever you're hiding and diverting our attention from go unnoticed by the Plumbers."
"If I were you…" XLR8 said before transforming.
XLR8 transformed into Rath. He looks mostly the same as Prime Ben's Rath except his fur is white, his stripes and skin are dark pink, and his eyes are red. He wears clothing similar to the Prime Ben's Rath wears. However, he lacks the mask and the tank top. He wears black shorts, red gloves and black boots, a red belt with the Ultimatrix symbol on it.
Rath then hyper-evolved into Ultimate Rath. He has dark pink skin and white fur with red stripes. He is covered by fur everywhere except on his feet, hands, chest, neck, and most of his lower jaw. He has red bandages on his elbows, forearms, and wrists, and the ones on his wrists have three small red spikes on them. He has two giant claws on his hands and his fingers and toes now have smaller claws. He also has giant claws coming out from his elbows. He wears black shorts with a white belt that has silver spikes and a silver buckle. He also has a red coat with red eyes and four yellow fangs which all together resemble a Panuncian. He has three giant red spikes on his back that are covered by his coat's hood, which is made up of long, thick, black fur. His face is white with flipped up hair and sideburns, his eyebrows are now red and sharp, and he wears the evolved Ultimatrix symbol on his chest.
"I'd rethink the situation," Ultimate Rath finished.
Ultimate Rath lunged at Helen, but she sped under him and evaded the attack. Helen fired laser blasts at Ultimate Rath, who tanked the shots with hardly any damage. Ultimate Rath picked up drone parts and threw them at Helen. Helen evaded the drone parts being thrown at her and bombarded Ultimate Rath with laser shots. Ultimate Rath responded to this by backhanding her, sending her across the hall. Helen got back up and sped to behind a wall. She attempted to shoot from a distance, but noticed that she had been disarmed. She saw one of her blasters near her. She was going to lunge for it, but Ultimate Rath crushed it with his foot.
"Don't you know that little people shouldn't play with guns?" Ultimate Rath asked.
"I may be little, but I'm a small target to hit unlike you, Oaf," Helen responded.
Helen sped around Ultimate Rath in circles. Ultimate Rath tried to smash her, but only hit the ground. Helen sped back before charging at Ultimate Rath and kicking him in the face like her legs were lightning bolts multiple times before speeding to her other blaster across the hall, grabbing it, and shooting Ultimate Rath, electrocuting him. Helen then sped out of the Chimerian Hammer and didn't stop running until she was about a few thousand miles away from it. She pulled out the USB drive, which was still in perfect condition, and spoke into her com.
"Cooper, mission accomplished. I'm heading back right now," Helen said before speeding off again.
Meanwhile in Undertown…
Both Bens were chasing Liam and Bubble Helmet who had just committed a robbery of a Taydenite bank. Prime Ben hit his Omnitrix and turned into Kickin Hawk. He resembles a combination of a rooster and a hawk. He has sharp black claws on his toes and talons on his hands, as well as two larger talons protruding from his arms. He has a short yellow beak and is covered in brown feathers. He also has a white-brown mohawk and belly. He wears a green mask, a green belt with a white stripe, black underwear, and a green strap vest with the Omnitrix symbol on the vest hooker.
Kickin Hawk ran up to Liam and grabbed the money bags that he was carrying and they engaged in combat. Liam tried to punch Kickin Hawk, but he dodged the attack and grabbed him by the face with his foot and threw him aside. Liam then went in for a swing, but Kickin Hawk hit him in the face with a Taydenite bag and got out a rope to tie him up with, making a pair of makeshift handcuffs.
Meanwhile, Reboot Ben was chasing Bubble Helmet. Bubble Helmet ran to the docks and got into a boat and drove off laughing. Kickin Hawk has just arrived with Liam tied up and noticed Bubble Helmet getting away.
"Don't worry. They haven't built a boat yet that can out swim Overflow," Reboot Ben said before hitting his Omnitrix.
Reboot Ben transformed into a new alien that shares a number of traits with Earth's aquatic life, such as an alligator, an eel, an anglerfish, and a shark. His body was mostly grey and he had a green antenna with a phosphorescent light on his head. His eyes are green, he has a big green fin on his back, green fins on his arms, he has a slightly hunched back, he has black claws are black and green webbed fingers, and a long black tail-like piece of clothing similar to a breach cloth with green Vs on it and it can be turned into a merman tail. He wears a black breast piece and black shoulder pads and has the Omnitrix symbol on his chest. Reboot Ben was now Ripjaws.
"Who's this guy?" Ripjaws asked.
"That's one of my aliens, Ripjaws. He has jaws that can tear through steel, he can breathe underwater, and he is one of my best swimmers," Kickin Hawk said, "Now put those swimming abilities to the test."
Ripjaws dived into the water and his legs and breach cloth turned into a fish tail and he swam after Bubble Helmet at great speeds.
"Ben was right. This Ripjaws guy is a great swimmer," Ripjaws said.
Meanwhile on the boat, Bubble Helmet was laughing and gloating to himself.
"I can't believe I pulled this bank robbery off and made off with thousands of taydens. And the best part is that I escaped being captured by Ben 10 and his annoying sidekick," Bubble Helmet gloated.
Ripjaws burst himself out of the water and landed on the boat.
"I don't believe it either. Because it never happened," Ripjaws said, getting Bubble Helmet's attention, "And I'm not annoying or a sidekick."
Bubble Helmet got out a pair of staffs and twirled them around while firing lasers from them. Ripjaws dodged the barrage of lasers and knocked one of Bubble Helmet's batons out of his hands. Bubble Helmet grabbed both of Ripjaws' hands with one hand and used the other to attempt to electrocute Ripjaws with the other staff, but Ripjaws noticed this and hit the staff, took it away, chewed on it, and spat the scraps of the staff into Bubble Helmet's face. Ripjaws tore off Bubble Helmet's robotic arms and chewed them up and pinned him down and chewed his robotic legs off, leaving Bubble Helmet with no limbs. Ripjaws spat out what used to be Bubble Helmet's robotic limbs and stopped the boat.
A little later, Rook had arrived to take both Bens, Bubble Helmet, and Liam back to Plumber HQ.
Plumber HQ...
When they arrived on Plumber HQ, they put Liam and Bubble Helmet in their separate holding cells and chatted a little.
"No offense, but did Plumber HQ, like I don't know, purposefully make the cells easy to escape?" Reboot Ben asked, "I mean, if you're going to lock up your prisoners, at least make it so that they can't escape."
"Tell me about it," Prime Ben said.
"Well I don't know about you, but I could go for a juice box. Fighting criminal scum is thirsty work," Reboot Ben said before heading off with Prime Ben and Rook.
Later, both Bens and Rook are in a hallway. Reboot Ben is pounding on a machine while Prime Ben and Rook are leaning against the wall, watching him.
"The Plumbers have the dumbest snack machines in the entire galaxy," Reboot Ben said.
"That is not a snack machine," Rook said.
"Why does everything in this base have to be so… alien?" Reboot Ben asked.
"You get used to it," Prime Ben said.
"And that is not a snack machine," Rook said.
"Coin slot, put coin in, press button, juice box. Easy!" Reboot Ben said while performing the actions he just described, "But no."
Reboot Ben kicked the machine again.
"That is not a-," Rook said before being cut off by a noise.
"I didn't do it!" Reboot Ben said, backing up from the machine.
"Rook, Ben… Well, Bens," Reboot Max said on the intercom, "Someone is here to see you guys."
"Grandpa?" Reboot Ben questioned.
"Yep. Check me out. I'm on the intercom," Reboot Max said, "I am the MM, the Mighty Max."
"Okay, okay. Settle down other me," Prime Max said on the intercom, "Just get up here."
Plumber HQ Bridge…
Both Bens and Rook had just gotten out of the elevator to see both Gwens, Prime Kevin, both Maxs, Zed, and Magister Patelliday.
Patelliday looks like his fellow Piscciss Volann, he has yellowish-grey skin, purple eyes, gills, and an antenna on his head. But unlike fellow Piscciss Volann, he has three fingers in each hand, green eyebrows, neat sharp teeth, and he has a slightly pointed face. He wears a pair of sunglasses and a Plumber suit.
"Alright guys, so who's here to see us?" Prime Ben asked.
"How's it been Ben? Long time, no see," said Cooper, revealing himself along with Helen, Manny, and Alan.
"Hey there Cooper, Helen, Manny, Alan. How's it been?" Prime Ben asked.
"Just great. We managed to make ourselves a special Plumber team while you were gone," Helen said.
"Yep. And no, we ain't called the Plumber's Helpers anymore," Manny said, "We go by the X-Unit now."
"Sweet name," Prime Ben said.
"I came up with it," Alan commented, "It's a reference to the DNA of other aliens being X'd over with our own. Not a good name origin I know, but at least it sounds cool."
"Who are these guys?" Reboot Ben asked.
"Other me, X-Unit. X-Unit, other me," Prime Ben said.
"So you're Ben from another dimension?" Helen asked, "Name's Helen. Nice to meet you by the way."
"Thanks," Reboot Ben said, "Who're the others?"
"Names Manny," Manny said, "And for the record, I thought you'd be taller."
"The guy beside me is Alan. I'm Cooper, the new leader of this team," Cooper said, extending his hand for a handshake of which Reboot Ben returned.
"So Cooper? What brings you and the rest of the Plumbers He- sorry… X-Unit to this Plumber base?" Rook asked.
"I wish I could say it was a social visit, but we have some pressing concerns," Cooper said.
"Yeah. Vilgax teamed up with the other Ben's Vilgax and they recruited Khyber, Albedo, and the other Ben's Kevin," Prime Gwen said.
"Yeah, we already know. That's why Helen was sent on a stealth mission onto their ship to find out what they were planning," Alan said.
"Let me guess, to steal both Omnitrices," Prime Ben said.
"The plural version of Omnitrix is Omnitrices?" Cooper asked, "Either way, surprisingly, that's not it."
Helen pulled out a USB drive and stuck it in the main computer. It downloaded the data onto the computer and showed them a presentation about something.
"Turns out that both Vilgaxs have united to put together something called "Project Omega". Though none of the data makes much sense," Cooper said.
"What did it say?" Kevin asked.
"Something about ancient relics, an ancient prophecy, the Ruby Ray of Rouleau, and the Shield of Ziegel," Manny said.
Kevin took a look at all of the data and responded, "The rest seems to be some sort of scruff that doesn't have any connection with each other. I'm not sure we could piece together what it all means."
"Yeah. We've tried, but got nothing. Everything recorded in the universe's files shows hardly any connection between these other objects and what they are," Cooper said.
"Hmm… Unfortunately, I think I know someone who was so paranoid that he may have a clue on what it all means," Kevin said.
"Wait. No. You ain't suggesting who I think you're suggesting? Are you?" Manny asked.
"Hey, I don't like it either, but we both know he's the only guy," Kevin said.
"Who is this paranoid someone that you speak of Kevin?" Rook asked.
"I'll tell you. But you ain't gonna like it," Kevin said, "Servantis."
This response earned a gasp from the entire Prime cast and Reboot Max. The X-Unit didn't gasp because they knew what Kevin would say, and Reboot Ben and Reboot Gwen didn't gasp because they didn't know who Servantis is.
"Now you're just plain crazy! That plan of yours is just plain crazy!" Patelliday shouted.
"Yeah dude. Are you sure you haven't absorbed too much energy from my Omnitrix? There is no way that you in your right mind would recruit Servantis," Prime Ben said.
"Hey, I really don't like the idea either. But he's the only one who can do it. While being a spy against the Rooters, I took a sneak peak into some of their files and found data similar to what Helen got from the Chimerian Hammer," Kevin said, "We can assume that Servantis would be the only one to make connections between the objects. But we'll have to keep him under close watch and restrained. And Manny, if he tries anything funny, you know the drill."
"The best kind of drill I know," Manny said before cracking his knuckles.
Kevin went over to both Bens, both Gwens, and Rook.
"Who's Servantis?" Reboot Gwen asked.
"Is he some sort of evil super villain or…?" Reboot Ben asked.
"Servantis was the leader of the Rooters, a secret former Plumber black ops wing and a splinter faction of the organization as a whole," Kevin said.
"So these Servantis and these Rooter guys were Red Spot? Eh… Black Spots?" Reboot Ben asked.
"Yeah already thought of that name," Prime Ben said.
"Servantis had the Rooters go rogue because they wanted to destroy Ben out of fear that he was too powerful to live," Kevin said.
"But Ben's a hero. Right?" Reboot Gwen asked.
"Yeah. Servantis isn't just paranoid, he's also a total psychopath, a manipulative liar, and somewhat of a hypocrite," Kevin said, "He said he was saving the universe from the "Coming Storm", aka Ben, but I have suspicions that he just wanted to kill Ben to insure that he would be top dog of the Plumbers."
Zed growled at the thought of Servantis' twisted evil.
"Yeah trust me guys. Servantis is not the kind of guy you'd want to befriend. Servantis is one of the most evil guys I know. And I've met Vilgax!" Prime Ben said.
"We'll have to keep him under lock and key. When we're done with him, we'll send him back," Kevin said.
"So where is this Servantis guy anyway?" Reboot Ben asked.
"The Null Void," Prime Ben answered.
Meanwhile on the Chimerian Hammer…
"The Plumbers have snuck onto our ship and they have retrieved the data on our plan!?" Prime Vilgax yelled.
"Once they find out how to decrypt it, they will know of the prophecy of which we speak and throw a wrench into our plans," Reboot Vilgax said.
"The Plumbers won't be able to decipher it on their own. But I know of someone in the Null Void that the Plumbers know of, who can do so perfectly," Khyber said, "They will most likely pursue this hybrid, so Kevin, Regina, and I will hunt them down before they get to him."
"Excellent deduction Khyber. But you're not going," Reboot Vilgax said, "Kevin's arrogance and your obsession with hunting down this world's Tennyson as a trophy will only cloud your judgement."
"That is no way to speak to me or the greatest huntsman in the galaxy Squidface!" Reboot Kevin said.
"You would be wise to respect our authority Levin," Prime Vilgax said.
"ENOUGH!" Ultimate Albedo said, firing a laser beam to get everyone's attention, "I will pursue them in the Null Void myself. My power over the Ultimatrix and my hyper-evolved intellect would allow me to easily crush them."
Ultimate Albedo hovered towards the door.
"Try not to annihilate each other while I'm gone," Ultimate Albedo said before closing the door, "Although, I'm conflicted on whether or not that would be a pleasant surprise to come back to."
Plumber HQ Null Void Chamber…
Patelliday began to activate the Null Void Projector. Cooper gave Both Bens, Prime Gwen, Kevin, Rook, Helen, Manny, Alan, and Zed earpieces that Helen used while infiltrating the Chimeran Hammer.
"These earpieces will allow me to track you through the Null Void. The microphones and earbud will allow us all to communicate with each other and the monocles will help me track your movements," Cooper explained.
"You ain't coming with?" Reboot Ben asked.
"I gotta stay here to guide you guys through the Null Void," Cooper said, "Make sure to avoid any danger."
"Yeah," Prime Ben said, "That includes monsters like Havok Beasts, feral Vulpimancers, Wigsilian Org Beasts, and especially Way Bads."
"Ooooh. These Way Bads sound like the type of monsters that I was born to take down," Reboot Ben said.
"Trust me, you don't want to run into one of them," Prime Gwen said.
"Alright everyone, the portal to the Null Void will open as soon as I push this button. You are about to embark on a trip to the most dangerous dimensions known to all species in the universe. So if anyone needs to use the little Plumber's room, I suggest you do it now," Patelliday said to the team.
Reboot Ben held up his hand.
"The bathroom is down the hall to the left. Make it quick," Patelliday said.
Reboot Ben then went in the direction Patelliday pointed him to.
A few minutes later…
Both Bens, Prime Gwen, Kevin, Rook, Zed, and the X-Unit, except for Cooper, had crossed into the Null Void and the portal closed to preserve power.
"Alright, now that you're it the Null Void, Servantis should be somewhere within the area. Find him and I'll activate a portal at the exact place you entered. But bing him with caution," Cooper said, "We don't want to damage the cargo… much."
"Why not make a portal where we find him?" Manny asked through his com.
Back at the Null Void Chamber…
"Because although we can make a map using the Null Void readings, we can't use them to pinpoint gateways," Cooper said.
Cooper was sitting at a holographic screen with a few computers with the footage of the lense cameras being filmed, and Reboot Gwen was beside him while both Maxs and Patelliday were behind him.
Back in the Null Void…
"Alright. Thanks for the info, dude," Prime Ben said through his com.
"I believe that it would be wise to split into two groups to cover more ground," Rook said.
"Good plan. I'll take the Bens, Gwen, and Zed. You take the X-Unit," Kevin said.
Rook saluted Kevin before saying, "The best of luck for if we do not find Servantis."
"The best of luck to you if you do," Prime Gwen said.
With that, the two teams split up and Prime Gwen changed into her Anodite form.
Gwen's Anodite form has light matte purple skin, she has violet lips, her hair and eyes glow pink, and she has her hair down. For her attire, her glasses become a blue mask and she wears blue gloves and her shirt is the same dark blue with a light blue stripe. Her shirt cuts off and reveals her midriff and navel. She also wears blue boots with light blue soles and a light blue stripe going down the front, a dark blue miniskirt with a light blue stripe and a belt. She also wears a light blue cape with a hood, and has a black cat logo with pink eyes on her shirt.
"Woah! That was cool," Reboot Ben said to Prime Gwen.
"Thanks. This is my Anodite form. I'll explain later," Prime Gwen said, "But let's just say that if you thought I was powerful in human form, just wait and see what this form can do."
Elsewhere…
A portal opened up somewhere in the Null Void and Ultimate Albedo hovered out of it before it closed.
"The Null Void. The anarchic wasteland of the dimensional plain. I never thought I'd end up here willingly, but it seems like fate and my own decisions had other plans for me," Ultimate Albedo said to himself, "Now, to locate the Tennysons and their scuzzy associates before they find answers."
With that, Albedo turned into Astrodactyl. He looked like Prime Ben's Astrodactyl, only his overall body was colored dark brown, and his wings and beak were a pale red. He wore red instead of green and had the Ultimatrix symbol on his right shoulder.
Astrodactyl flew off in search of everyone.
Back with the Bens, Prime Gwen, and Kevin…
The original trio, Reboot Ben, and Zed were walking through the Null Void and would jump from island to island. If the jump was too far away for one of the Bens, they would transform into an alien to make the jump. Zed led the way because she had Servantis' scent. Along the way, Reboot Ben tried to make small talk.
"So Gwendolyn, how'd you transform like that?" Reboot Ben asked.
"I was born part Anodite. It's the reason I can transform, properly use magic, and manipulate mana," Prime Gwen said.
"What's mana? And what's an Anodite?" Reboot Ben asked.
"Mana is the supernatural substance that is the essence of magic and life itself. Theoretically, any sapient species can potentially learn to manipulate mana through study and practice. While anyone can learn to harness mana, Anodites are experts at it," Prime Gwen explained, "Anodites are a free-spirited race of humanoid energy beings from the planet Anodyne, and are composed entirely of mana and pure energy and thus have a strong innate capacity for manipulating it. Thus, through practice and training, some Anodites are capable of manipulating the very life energy of living beings and themselves, and can become powerful sorcerers."
"Mind. Blown," Reboot Ben responded.
"Yeah, Anodites are pretty powerful aliens and I should know," Prime Ben said.
Reboot Ben noticed that Kevin was being pretty quiet and decided to talk to him.
"Hey, you okay Kevin?" Reboot Ben asked.
"Yeah. I'm fine. I just really don't like this plan even though I was the one who came up with it," Kevin said.
Zed winced in fear a little.
"Why? Why do you hate Servantis? I mean… other than the fact that he's pure evil," Reboot Ben asked.
"He made my life a living nightmare and turned it upside down. He lied to me about many things," Kevin answered.
"Yeah, we all know that he gave you the false memory of your dad being a Plumber and an Osmosian and about how Osmosians aren't aliens. And we're really sorry for you," Prime Ben said in a sympathetic tone.
"Actually. He lied about all that being false memories," Kevin said.
"Wait, what? Okay, first you say that everything we thought we knew about you was a lie, and know you say it was all true? Dude, make up your mind," Prime Ben said.
"My dad was a Plumber and he was an Osmosian from Osmos V. That false memory about Osmosians being a human subspecies and not an alien, Servantis meant for me to absorb it. He said I was unexpendable just as an excuse to use me as his human lab rat," Kevin explained, "I found this out when my real memories kept conflicting with my fake ones while you went on your date with Julie, and I contacted Azmuth to help me with my condition."
"Wait, you contacted Azmuth!? Dude, you are just dropping bombs everywhere. How'd you contact Azmuth? It takes me ages just to get him to return a message," Prime Ben said.
"Let me finish. Anyway, Azmuth managed to help me truly separate my real memories from my fake ones. He then took me to Osmos V to meet other Osmosians. They all had the same abilities as me. Energy absorption, matter absorption, that stuff. I was mastering my powers to the point where I could absorb Omnitrix energy and still retain a level of my sanity, but then I was introduced to the Osmosian elder. He taught me how to absorb energy and still keep all of my sanity: by putting a time out on the Omnitrix energy I absorb, and by instantly releasing all of the non-Omnitrix energy I absorb," Kevin explained, "Though Servantis using me to turn Pierce, Manny, Helen, and Alan into hybrids is not a false memory, neither was using us for nasty things."
"If what we thought we first knew about your origin was true, then why did Servantis lie about it?" Gwen asked.
"I thought that was obvious. Max wasn't too happy with Servantis' return, so Servantis lied to him about my dad never being one of his partners just to pour salt all over the freshly formed wounds," Kevin said.
"He what? Okay it's official. Servantis was, is, and always will be all kinds of messed up," Prime Ben said.
"I know, right? I'd say his heart is as black as night, but it would have to exist to be a color," Gwen said.
"You're gonna have to tell Grandpa Max about your memories," Prime Ben said.
"Already did. Max wasn't too happy about finding out about Servantis' incredible deception skills," Kevin said, "Like I said, be cautious around him. Servantis isn't just a psychopath, he's also a pathological liar; get too close and he's bound to mess with your head if you give into his power. Any luck finding him, Gwen?"
Gwen closed her eyes and put her fingers against her temples before responding, "Not any. I can't sense his mana anywhere. Then again, it's quite hard to do so in the Null Void."
"Then we'll just keep relying on Zed. She can easily sniff out a pile of filth like Servantis from a mile or two away," Prime Ben said.
Just then, Zed had stopped and growled at something in front of them.
"What is it, girl?" Kevin asked her.
Zed barked and the team noticed a herd of Vulpimancers walking towards them. They looked similar to Wildmutt, only they were red with pink stripes going down their backs and their mouths are more unearthly with a worm-like tongue, chapped lips, and four large fangs.
The Vulpimancers ran towards the group and they could tell that they were hostile, so they got ready for battle. Gwen charged up her mana blasts, Kevin absorbed the stone from ground, Zed was ready to attack, and both Bens dialed their Omnitrices. Reboot Ben turned into Slapback while Prime Ben was still dialing.
"Alright. Come on Shocksquatch!" Prime Ben said before hitting his Omnitrix and turning into Frankenstrike.
He has an appearance similar to the classic depiction of Boris Karloff's version of Victor Frankenstein's monster. He has a muscular body with a scrunched up human nose, dark greyish yellow skin, a black short hair with long sideburns and two turret-like generators on his back. These generators are green with screws on them, and they end in white coils and feature green bulbs at the tips. His teeth are yellowed and uneven, and bear out when he speaks. His skin has several uneven seams, combining grayish-yellow skin with darker grey skin. He also has large stitched scars across his chest, and face, and one on his right arm. He has bolts on each shoulder, elbow, side of his neck, and three in his back. These bolts are bronze, and resemble a fathead screw with a green light in the crease. He wears greenish-black pants with lines on them, and a green belt with white stripes, which have bolts on them, and another bolt as a buckle. These pants end in copper "boots" with three green slits in them. He also wears green gauntlets with bolts on their knuckles and his fingers showing. His Omnitrix symbol is embedded in the flesh of his right pectoral, with several deep scars protruding from where it resides.
"Really Omnitrix?" Frankenstrike asked before cracking his knuckles, "Oh well. At least Frankenstrike is also an electric guy of mine who can really lay down a smack down."
A Vulpimancer lunged at Frankenstrike with the intention of biting him, but Frankenstrike punched it with an electrified fist, sending it back. Slapback spit himself into four copies and they all tackled one Vulpimancer each. Frankenstrike charged up his generators and shot electric beams from them at a Vulpimancer before charging up a fist and slamming the ground, creating an electric shockwave that electrocuted three Vulpimancers. The Slapback clones took on a few Vulpimancers and tossed them back. The Slapbacks then punched a Vulpimancer in the face, sending it back a good forty meters. Kevin punched a Vulpimancer that lunged at him and another one lunged at him, but Kevin grabbed it and threw it at another Vulpimancer. Another Vulpimancer was about to tackle Kevin, but Zed tackled it and engaged in a dog fight.
"Good girl," Kevin said to Zed.
Gwen shot mana blasts at a few Vulpimancers and created a mana construct of a wall and pushed many of them back. Everyone regrouped and the Vulpimancers approached them, but ran away.
"That's it?" Frankenstrike asked before changing back.
"I guess we're just that good," one of the Slapbacks said before they all merged back together and changed back.
"It's never that easy," Kevin said before looking behind him to see what really scared them off.
Kevin spotted something in the sky in the distance.
"Look," Kevin said, pointing at the object.
Everyone turned and saw it.
"Think it's a Null Guardian?" Prime Ben asked.
"Moving too fast," Kevin said.
"Maybe it's a flying prisoner like a Lepidopterran," Gwen said before sensing its mana, "Oh no."
"Is that a good "oh no", or a bad "oh no"?" Reboot Ben asked.
"Is there any kind other than bad?" Prime Ben asked, ready to activate his Omnitrix.
The flying object turned around and flew to the group. It landed in front of them, revealing itself to be Astrodactyl.
"Albedo," Prime Ben said.
"Squawk! So your habit of stating the obvious still hasn't ceased, Tennyson. Squawk!" Astrodactyl said.
"What are you doing here?" Kevin asked.
"Squawk! Isn't that obvious too? Squawk!" Astrodactyl asked.
"You want to take us all out. Well sorry buddy, not happening," Reboot Ben said.
Zed growled at Astrodactyl.
"Yeah. Don't think this will be different from the other times you tried to take us down," Prime Ben said.
Reboot Ben turned into Rath and Prime Ben turned into Crashhopper and they all ran up to Astrodactyl.
"Let me tell you something Albedo who is currently in an Astrodactyl form, your going down for the long count," Rath said.
"Squawk! Very well. It's your funeral. Squawk!" Astrodactyl said.
Astrodactyl got out his red plasma whips and began swinging them at the group. They all evaded the whips and Crashhopper jumped towards Astrodactyl and hit him, sending him backwards. Astrodactyl got out his wings and flew to get the higher ground. Gwen threw mana disks at Astrodactyl, who dodged the attacks and fired an energy beam from his mouth. Gwen created a mana shield to protect herself from the shot and fired more mana blasts at Astrodactyl, which he dodged. Rath got on Crashhopper's back and Crashhopper jumped into the air and threw Rath at Astrodactyl. Rath grabbed Astrodactyl and sent him down to the ground where he and Crashhopper dog piled him.
"We got him! We got him!" Crashhopper said.
Astrodactyl turned into Ultimate Spidermonkey and shook Rath and Crashhopper off of him.
"We had him," Crashhopper said.
Ultimate Spidermonkey banged against his chest a few times before jumping up and unleashing a barrage of webs upon the group. Crashhopper, Kevin, and Zed evaded the attacks while Gwen dodged some webs and created a force field to shield herself from the rest. Rath wasn't so lucky. As soon as Rath decided to get back up, he got slathered in webbing.
"Ugh! You think you can hold Rath in a web!?" Rath asked while squirming, "Well let me tell you something!"
Kevin, who was still stone, turned his arm into a blade and cut Rath out of the webbing. Rath then lunged at Ultimate Spidermonkey, who grabbed him and slammed him down.
"It's like you're not even trying," Ultimate Spidermonkey said before laughing like a gorilla.
"Let me tell you something Albedo! Rath wasn't even trying! Now Rath is going to try real hard and kick your hairy butt to the other side of the Null Void!" Rath said before freeing one of his hands and turning his Omnitrix symbol for the Omni-Kix armor.
For the most part, he now resembles an armored/robotic version of Rath with white and black armor designed to resemble tiger stripes, green details, and three white claws on each of his wrists. His face is covered by an orange faceplate with green eyes. The Omnitrix symbol is located on his chest and is connected to his back by two grey pipes. He was now Omni-Kix Rath.
Omni-Kix Rath kicked Ultimate Spidermonkey off of him and ran towards him, who opened his multi-hinged jaw and shot webbing at Omni-Kix Rath. But Omni-Kix Rath cut up all of the webbing with his sharp claws and jumped towards Ultimate Spidermonkey to deliver a powerful punch. Ultimate Spidermonkey grabbed Omni-Kix Rath's fists however and they engaged in an armlock. Crashhopper jumped up and kicked Ultimate Spidermonkey in the face and then jumped up and hit him headfirst in the head. Omni-Kix Rath took advantage of this and punched Ultimate Spidermonkey in the face and grabbed him and threw him towards Kevin, who punched Ultimate Spidermonkey, sending him to the ground. Ultimate Spidermonkey got up however and merged his arms together before turning into a magenta-colored Gravattack with a red-colored core, eyes, and Ultimatrix symbol. Gravattack then turned into Ultimate Gravattack.
He looks similar to Negative Gravattack, only he no longer has legs and floats entirely by manipulating his gravitational field. His skin crust has become more jagged, as crests and peaks form on the surface. His planetary core is engulfed in his mouth now, with a red spiral circling outwards. His arms and hands are much larger than those of Gravattack. The most notable change, however, are the three smaller orbiting planetoids that spawn around him, caught in his gravitational field. They each have a little face on them that resembles Gravattack's original form in orbit mode. He wears the Ultimatrix symbol on his chest.
"Let's see how you all like being thrown around," Ultimate Gravattack said before his hands were engulfed in a red circular glow.
Ultimate Gravattack used his gravikinesis to levitate the group and both Omni-Kix Rath and Crashhopper turned back to normal.
"A time out? Come on, he's got aliens," Prime Ben said to his Omnitrix.
Ultimate Gravattack then caused all of them to orbit him at a fast speed.
"I… think… I'm… gonna… hurl," Reboot Ben said.
Ultimate Gravattack then sent them all off the island, but Gwen used her mana to create a construct for her and everyone else to safely land on and Kevin turned back to normal. Gwen flew herself and the others away and Ultimate Gravattack followed them. Ultimate Gravattack fired lasers from his orbiting planetoids at the group. Gwen managed to keep everyone from being hit. She then spotted an island with a mountain with a cave and flew everyone in it for cover. Ultimate Gravattack used his gravikinesis on some rocks above the cave entrance and created a landslide which sealed them all in the cave before turning into Ultimate Albedo.
"Even if they do escape that cave, they will have to deal with the several monsters that lurk in the Null Void. Now off to find that Revonnahgander and those hybrid lab experiments," Ultimate Albedo said to himself.
Meanwhile in the cave…
The group were all trapped in the cave in complete darkness.
"Okay then. Is everything okay?" Prime Ben asked.
"I can't tell whether my eyes are opened or closed," Reboot Ben said.
"Really dude?" Kevin asked.
Zed barked.
"Hey. It's just really dark in here. Not like I've been in complete darkness when I wasn't sleeping," Reboot Ben said.
"Not even as Wildmutt?" Prime Ben asked.
"Oh, right. Sorry," Reboot Ben said.
"Boys," Gwen said under her breath, "Here let me fix that."
Gwen let her hair glow again and both of her hands were surrounded by an illuminating aura.
"Hey thanks. I can see now," Reboot Ben said.
"Albedo sealed us in, so until both Omnitrices time in again, let's find a way out," Prime Ben said.
Prime Ben turned around and saw pitch black.
"Hey Gwen," Prime Ben said, getting a look from Gwen. Prime Ben sighed before saying, "Okay. Hey Gwendolyn, mind making it a little bit brighter."
"Thank you, and no problem," Gwen said.
Gwen made her hands glow even brighter so that the team could see the whole cave but they all jumped back after noticing a very horrific sight in front of them. After regaining their senses, they saw the sight again but this time they were in shock and awe. The sight they saw was a skeleton up against a stalagmite while reaching its right arm out for dear life. The skeleton was dusty and had some cobwebs on it.
The skeleton seemed to belong to tall, male, and human-like and was entirely red with white teeth. It had a large head similar to a Cerebrocrustacean and dark outlines around its eyes. It also has pointed eyebrows similar to Dr. Psychobos', and spikes on the sides of its head. It has three claws on each of its hands and has a noticeable hole in the middle of his head with cracks surrounding it. He also wears black Proto-Tech Armor that was torn at the right cuff, right foot, right shoulder, left femur, and left side of the rib cage.
"No way," Prime Ben said.
"Did he really…?" Gwen asked.
"Do I even want to know whose skeleton that is?" Reboot Ben asked.
"Younger Ben, meet Servantis," Kevin said.
"Wait, what?" Reboot Ben asked.
"You heard him correctly, that's Servantis," Gwen said.
"What's left of him at least. No bones about it," Prime Ben said before nervously laughing, though his laughter turned to a nervous cringe, "Okay, that was just wrong on so many levels."
Kevin put his fingers on his com and contacted Cooper, "Hey everyone, we found Servantis."
"Okay then. Now make sure to keep him secure," Prime Max said, "We don't want him trying anything funny."
"Yeah, trust me Grandpa. Servantis will not mess with anyone again. Take a look," Prime Ben said in his com before activating his lense camera.
The sight of Servantis' skeleton shocked both Maxs, Reboot Gwen, Cooper, and Magister Patelliday.
"Hoowee! Now that sure be an eyesore for sore eyes," Patelliday said.
"Yeah. The good news is that Servantis kicked the bucket in the Null Void so he's not going to be causing any trouble even if we bring him back. The bad news is that now that Servantis is no longer alive, he won't be able to give us the information we need," Kevin said.
"In that case, we're calling off the mission. Regroup and return to base," Prime Max said.
"Roger that," Prime Ben said.
With that, Cooper hung up and contacted the others to inform them of the situation.
"That's why I couldn't track his mana," Gwen said, "He has no mana left."
Zed barked, went over to Servantis' corpse, turned so that she wasn't facing it, and kicked dirt on it.
"What do you think managed to waste Servantis?" Reboot Ben asked.
Just then, the gang heard a shriek echo through the cave.
"I think we should get out of here before we find out," Prime Ben said.
With that, everyone went over to where Albedo caved them all in. Prime Ben's Omnitrix then finally timed in.
"Yes! Don't worry guys, Armodrillo is going to make a door," Prime Ben said before hitting his Omnitrix and turning into Armodrillo.
Armodrillo walked up to the sealed entrance and everyone stepped aside. Armodrillo turned his arms into drills and dug through the boulders, clearing the entrance before turning back.
"Alright, let's go," Prime Ben said.
"Wait. Where's Zed," Kevin said.
Kevin checked around before noticing Zed come out of the cave with Servantis' bony arm in her teeth.
"Zed, I know you like bones, but spit that thing out. You don't know where it's been," Kevin said to Zed.
Obeying Kevin, Zed dropped the arm, which was now covered in dog drool.
"Okay, now let's check the map again," Prime Ben said.
"Uh, guys? I think we have company," Reboot Ben said before pointing to the top of the mountain.
Everyone looked up and saw three figures on a cliff of the mountain near the top.
The figure on the right was a humanoid girl with vivid red skin and wings. She has three red eyes, with black outlines on the two eyes on the side. She also has black lipstick, yellow horns that look exactly like those of Jetray, and two small spikes coming out of the top of her head. She has three fingers on each hand, two long toes and one back toe on each foot, a long tail, and dark red hair that barely reaches her shoulders. She also wears a black suit of Proto-Tech Armor. Her name was Swift.
The figure on the left was also humanoid and wears black Proto-Tech Armor that serves as his containment suit and has a black helmet that is in the shape of a human head. He has spiky ears and a handle at the top of his helmet. There are three slit-like holes on his helmet which glow red. His name was Leander.
The figure in the middle was also humanoid, but looked similar to a Terrorancula, and was twice as big as a human being. He has a greenish-silver, shining body with big muscles. His lower legs and arms are covered by olive colored hair and they have four sharp, tan-colored claws on each finger and toe. He has six short spider legs on his ribs, and small spikes on each of his shoulders and thighs. He has hair coming out of his neck and the back and top of his head styled in a ponytail, a mane around his neck, and a beard. He has red eyes and four small spider legs coming out of the back of his head. He has a scar on his right eye and a big mouth with red gums and a line of tan teeth. He, like the other figures, was also wearing black Proto-Tech armor. This was the Prime version of Phil Billings.
Leander jumped off the mountain and slid to the bottom, Swift glided down the mountain and landed beside Leander, and Prime Phil jumped from the cliff and landed behind Swift and Leander.
"The Rooters are back?" Kevin asked, "Great. Just great."
"Hey there guys," Prime Ben said to the Rooters, "Long time, no see. How's it going? Nice to see you're all still alive. You guys aren't still mad about me and the other Plumbers leaving you in the Null Void with Servantis, are you?"
Phil charged up energy blasts from his hands, Swift charged up neuroshock blasts from her eyes and tail, and Leander put his fingers on the side of his head and charged up a radioactive blast from his grill-plate.
"You know, a simple "no" would be enough," Prime Ben said.
The Rooters fired their blasts at the group and they all dodged the onslaught and ducked behind some rocks for cover.
"These are Servantis' lap dogs?" Reboot Ben asked.
"Yeah, two of them were made the same way the X-Unit was," Kevin said.
"Alright then. Ben, you take the Jetray girl. Kevin, Gwendolyn, you and Zed take Phil. I got the NRG guy," Prime Ben said.
"That giant spider monster is your world's Phil!?" Reboot Ben asked.
"Long story. I'll explain later," Prime Ben said.
Reboot Ben got out and Swift flew towards him while firing neuroshock blasts, which Reboot Ben ducked under.
"Alright Jetray Girl. Prepare to meet Jetray," Reboot Ben said before hitting his Omnitrix.
Reboot Ben transformed into a new alien who was from Prime Ben's Omnitrix, Eye Guy. His upper-body is covered with large light green eyes with green slitted pupils, although he ironically has no eyes on his face, which consists of a mouth and a very large pair of bat-like ears, and he has an eye on each of his palms. He has dark yellow skin with lighter yellow skin on his chest, face, underarms, hands, and feet. He wears white cuffs black pants with white stripes on his thighs, shins, and angles and a white belt with the Omnitrix symbol on it.
"Hey. What's the big eye-dea? Isn't this Eye Guy from the other me's Omnitrix?" Eye Guy asked.
Eye Guy dodged another neuroshock blast.
"Cute. But try my laser eyes on for size," Eye Guy said before firing optic blasts from his arms, shoulders, and chest.
Swift dodged the optic blasts before firing a neuroshock blast from her tail. Eye Guy dodged the neuroshock beam and fired a green fire blast from the eyes on his palms. Swift dodged the attack and flew around Eye Guy, who attempted to blast her with an electric optic beam. Swift flew towards Eye Guy from behind, but Eye Guy easily noticed this and blasted her with a freezing optic blast, freezing her. Swift fell and the fall caused her to break out of the ice, but Eye Guy pinned her down with his foot.
"Take that, you gliding goon. Eye suggest you give up. Eye seem to have beaten you. Eye think it was pretty easy. Eye-" Eye Guy gloated before being cut off by Swift scooping some dirt and throwing it at Eye Guy, hitting his eyes. Eye Guy paused for a moment before reacting by grabbing his own upper body, "AH! AHAHAHA! MY EYE!"
Swift took advantage of Eye Guy's dilemma and slipped from under his foot and shot him with a neuroshock blast. Eye Guy got back up and got all of the dirt out of his eyes.
"That's it. No more Mr. Nice Eye Guy," Eye Guy said before firing a laser from his chest eye at Swift, hitting her.
Meanwhile Phil blasted an energy blast at Kevin and Gwen. They both dodged the attack and Gwen launched mana disks at him. Kevin absorbed the stone ground and ran towards Phil, who launched an energy web at Kevin, who turned his hands into blades and cut through it. Kevin punched Phil in the face and Phil slammed his arms down. Kevin evaded the strike and tried to punch him again, but this time Phil blocked Kevin's punches and fired an energy beam, sending him back. Gwen blasted pink fire at Phil, but Phil dodged the attack, caught Gwen in an energy net, and threw her aside. Kevin tried to punch Phil again, but Phil caught Kevin's hand and was about to blast him with another energy blast, but Zed jumped up and hit Phil by the neck. Phil threw her off and turned his attention to her.
"Hey Itsy Bitsy!" Kevin shouted, getting Phil's attention, "No one touches my dog!"
"So, you some of me don't you?" Phil asked before charging up his hands, "Here, have it."
Phil blasted another energy blast at Kevin, but Kevin absorbed it all by putting his right hand out and pointing his pointer and middle finger at the blast. While absorbing the energy, Kevin made a fist with his other hand and pointed out his pointer and middle finger. He put his left fingers on his right fingers, drew his left fingers along his arm, turned the direction to the stomach, stuck his left hand out still pointing, and pointed his left fingers at Phil and released all of the energy that he absorbed from the blast, knocking Phil back. Kevin got on his knees and panted.
"Now that… was a total rush," Kevin said.
"Where'd you learn to do that Kevin?" Gwen asked.
"From Osmos V," Kevin said.
Phil got back up and Gwen helped Kevin to his feet.
"Shall we?" Gwen asked.
"We shall," Kevin said.
Zed got back up and the three ran towards Phil.
Meanwhile, Prime Ben was dodging radioactive laser fire from Leander. Prime Ben dialed his Omnitrix.
"Alight. No messing around Omnitrix. Come on Swampfire," Prime Ben said before hitting his Omnitrix and transforming into Brainstorm. He has an orange crab-like appearance with pincers for hands. He can open his skull plates at will to reveal his huge brain, which is pink in color. He has legs, and each leg has a single joint, with a black stripe on each one. He has somewhat long, hair-like spikes on his forehead and face, resembling eyebrows, whiskers, and a small goatee, and his eyes connect to a large black stripe that extends around his forehead. He also has two spikes on each elbow and his cranium can open up to reveal a large pink brain. He wears a black loincloth with a green stripe in the center of it on the bottom of his body. He also has a black stripe in the center of his head with a green stripe running across it. He wears the Omnitrix symbol on a green neck brace with a white stripe.
"Potentially useful objects:" Brainstorm said before scanning the area and doing calculations, "rock, another rock, ground made of granite based composition. His advantage: superior strength and power. My advantage: superior intelligence. Leander: quiet, cold, and calculating. He will attack with extreme patience and precision."
Leander fired a radioactive blast at Brainstorm, but he used his electro-telekinesis to pull a rock out of the ground.
"Use rock to block as a shield," Brainstorm said before moving the rock in front of him and having it take the blast for him, totally unscathed.
Brainstorm used his electro-telekinesis again to pull a few rocks out of the ground and throw them at Leander. Leander got hit by the rocks and pinned down.
"Momentarily pinning him down," Brainstorm said before Leander got back up and attempted to swing kick Brainstorm. Brainstorm evaded the attack and said, "Dodge."
Brainstorm then opened his cranium and blasted an electric blast from his brain at Leander.
"Electrokinetic blast to containment suit," Brainstorm said before Leander got back up.
"Medium voltage electrokinetic strike," Brainstorm said before blasting another electric blast at Leander, who fired another radioactive blast. Both attacks clashed and Leander's blast slowly approached Brainstorm.
"Increasing electrokinetic strike power to 96.271% capacity," Brainstorm said before he increased the power of his lightning and powered through Leander's blast, knocking the half-Prypiatosian-B back.
"Estimated recovery time: 55 seconds," Brainstorm said, "Estimated time until victory: 1 minute."
Brainstorm then went over to Eye Guy.
"Hey, what alien is that?" Eye Guy asked.
"I call this one Brainstorm," Brainstorm said, "A crustacean-based alien with prodigious electrokinetic abilities and an intellect only rivaled by my Galvan form known as Grey Matter."
"Nice," Eye Guy said.
Swift fired neuroshock blasts at both Eye Guy and Brainstorm. Both aliens dodged the attack and Eye Guy fired laser blasts from the eyes on his arms, shoulders, and chest, while Brainstorm fired electricity from his brain. Both attacks hit Swift and she was sent falling down before tumbling on the ground. Brainstorm and Eye Guy went over to Kevin, Gwen, and Zed to deal with Phil. Eye Guy extended and enlarged his chest eye and it shot a powerful optic blast at Phil. Brainstorm, Eye Guy, Gwen, Kevin and Zed all surrounded Phil, but while their guard was down, Swift and Leander blasted them. Eye Guy turned back to normal and the gang found themselves cornered against a wall and between the Rooters and a hard place.
"Any ideas?" Reboot Ben asked.
"Don't worry. According to my calculations, the cavalry should arrive in 0.83 seconds," Brainstorm responded.
Just then, Swift was sent at least fifteen feet back by a speeding blue blur. This blur turned out to be Helen.
"Hey guys," Helen greeted.
Just then, Rook, Manny, and Alan(in Pyronite form) showed up. Manny pulled out four laser guns and blasted Phil, while Alan blasted a fireball at Leander, who retaliated with a radioactive blast that Alan dodged before punching Leander in the face with a flaming fist. Helen then threw Swift at Phil and Leander, and Rook finished the job by ensnaring them all in a net.
"Thanks for finishing them off, partner," Brainstorm said before turning back to normal.
"You are welcome," Rook said.
"So these guys are the Rooters?" Reboot Ben asked.
"Indeed. The Terroranchula hybrid is our world's Phil," Rook said.
"While the Jetray girl is called Swift and the quiet NRG guy is Leander," Prime Ben said before going up to speak with the Rooters, who were netted against the wall.
"You're still trying to destroy me under Servantis' orders? When will you guys take a break?" Prime Ben asked.
"Under Servantis' orders? As if," Phil said.
"We're done serving that traitorous coward," Swift said, "We just wanted to keep you from releasing him from his rightful punishment."
"Yeah, I'm not buying it," Prime Ben said.
"Why would Servantis' loyal lap-dogs stop kissing his feet?" Prime Ben asked.
"We served Servantis without question, and how did he repay us? He stabbed us in the back," Swift said.
"Still not buying it," Prime Ben said, "Though that does sound like something Servantis would do."
"Rook, cut them loose and let them talk," Gwen said.
"What? You can't be serious," Prime Ben said.
"I wouldn't worry Ben. We have the Rooters outnumbered and outmatched, if they try anything funny, we'll all take care of it," Kevin assured Prime Ben.
Rook cut the Rooters out of the net and readied his Proto-Tool.
"We served Servantis with absolute loyalty and never questioned his lead. But one day, he returned the memories of Leander and I," Swift said.
"Why would Servantis return your memories?" Rook asked.
"He gave Swift and Leander their memories back because he thought they were no longer useful to him. He never gave me false memories, but thought I was no longer useful either. He then sent us off a cliff and left us at the mercy of a mutant To'kustar," Phil said.
"He did what!?" Alan asked.
"It's Servantis, what did you expect?" Helen said to Alan.
"Yeah. We didn't exactly leave him in the Null Void for being an upstanding citizen," Manny said.
"Funny you say Servantis left you at the mercy of the Way Bads, because that doesn't seem at all like what he received," Gwen said.
"What do you mean?" Swift asked Gwen.
"Come on, we'll show you," Kevin said.
Kevin led everyone to the cave and they saw Servantis' skeleton.
"Is my vision deceiving me? The former Proctor has expired," Swift said.
Leander remained quiet, but he was still surprised.
"The corrupt tyrant had it coming after all he put everyone around him through," Phil said before punching Servantis' skeleton, causing an explosion of dust and all of the bones scattering.
"Woah! Not cool, dude," Manny said to Phil, "I wanted to do that!"
"Now that we have settled everything, I believe that it would be a wise choice to retreat back to the portal area," Rook said.
A few minutes of trekking the Null Void later…
Everyone was going to the portal location while walking with the Rooters between them all as a means of security. Prime Ben got bored and decided to engage in small talk.
"So Phil, or whoever the Terroranchula monster is, I'm surprised you're not acting as ruthless as you usually do," Prime Ben said,
"Actually, it's just Phil in here," Phil said, "I eventually managed to resist the monstrous side of the Nemetrix's power. I managed to destroy the monster and regain my old mind, but at the price of my old form."
"What?" Prime Ben asked.
"When I destroyed the monster, I had to sacrifice some part of my strength. I gave up my body for my mind. An equivalent exchange," Phil explained.
"Huh, just like that anime show, Pure Crystal Alchemist," Prime Ben remarked.(A mentioned congrats to whoever guesses what that show is based on)
"You're seriously comparing what I went through to a Japanese cartoon?" Phil asked.
"Well it sometimes got dark too," Prime Ben said.
Kevin got curious about Swift and Leander. Swift did mention earlier about their memories being restored, and Kevin was curious about Swift and Leander's memories.
"Hey Swift. You said earlier that you and Leander had your memories restored. I didn't know that Servantis gave you two false memories as well. What was your true origin story?" Kevin asked.
"I'd rather not say it. You wouldn't be able to handle the messed up tragedy of it," Swift said.
"Dude, you don't know messed up tragedy unless you're me," Kevin said, "Spill."
"Fine, though I'll explain our story in a safer place than in here," Swift said.
Just then, Prime Ben heard something and realized what it was.
"GET DOWN!" Prime Ben said before tackling Swift and Leander and everyone dodged a red laser.
"You saved us?" Swift asked, "Why?"
"I'm the hero, it's my thing," Prime Ben said.
Everyone got up and noticed the source of the source of the laser was from Ultimate Albedo.
"Albedo!" Prime Ben said, "What are you doing?"
"You mean it isn't obvious yet? I have my enemies all in one place," Ultimate Albedo said before turning into Ultimate Echo Echo, "All for me to permanently eliminate."
Ultimate Echo Echo fired a sonic wave at everyone, forcing them to cover their ears.
"Alright then. You want to play rough?" Prime Ben said before turning into Chromastone, "Then say hello to my little friend."
"I got this," Chromastone said before he ran up to a good distance in front of the group.
Chromastone fired ultraviolet rays at Ultimate Echo Echo, who flew and evaded the attacks before blasting a sonic attack at Chromastone, causing cracks to form in him before he turned back.
"Dude! Okay, let's try that again," Prime Ben said before transforming into Diamondhead.
Diamondhead fired crystal shards at Ultimate Echo Echo, who created a sonic shield around himself and fired another sonic blast at Diamondhead, causing cracks to form in him before turning back.
"Okay. No matter. Plenty more where those guys came from," Prime Ben said before turning into Shock Rock, "Try Shock Rock on for size."
Shock Rock fired lightning at Ultimate Echo Echo, electrocuting him and causing him to fall to the ground. Ultimate Echo Echo got back up and turned into Ultimate Humungousaur. Ultimate Humungousaur fired a missile at Shock Rock, but Phil ran up to Shock Rock and jumped in front of him, taking the blast, and surprising Shock Rock. Phil got back up but still held onto his right arm. Shock Rock then turned his Omnitrix symbol sideways and turned into Omni-Kix Shock Rock, who looked the same as Reboot Omni-Kix Shock Rock only a bit bigger.
Omni-Kix Shock Rock ran towards Ultimate Humungousaur and dodged missile fire before unleashing an electric laser. Ultimate Humungousaur crossed his arms in an X to block the laser and fired more missiles at Omni-Kix Shock Rock. Humungousaur jumped towards Omni-Kix Shock Rock and started beating him up.
"Ugh! You're going to have to try harder than that. I'm hardly feeling a thing in this armor," Omni-Kix Shock Rock said.
"All you've done is put yourself in a tin can for me to open up," Ultimate Humungousaur said while still beating up Omni-Kix Shock Rock, "Ridding myself of you will be nothing more than swatting at a bug."
Ultimate Humungousaur grabbed Omni-Kix Shock Rock by the face and threw him away by a long distance. Omni-Kix Shock Rock turned back into Prime Ben and he wasn't in good condition. Ultimate Humungousaur walked over to him, but Reboot Ben turned into Omni-Kix Four Arms and fired rocket fists at Ultimate Humungousaur. Swift and Leander shot at Ultimate Humungousaur with neuroshock beams and radioactive blasts while Gwen fired mana shots at him. Manny and Helen unleashed a barrage of laser fire while Alan blasted fire. Kevin absorbed the metal in a screw he kept in his pocket and jumped towards Ultimate Humungousaur, who grabbed him and threw him towards Swift and Leander before unleashing missile fire on Gwen and the X-Unit. Omni-Kix Four Arms fired his rocket fists at Ultimate Humungousaur, but he grabbed Omni-Kix Four Arms and slammed him to the ground before turning his attention to Prime Ben.
"And your world is crawling with even weaker bugs," Ultimate Humungousaur said before cracking his knuckles, "I'll make an example of them."
"I hope you're feeling generous Omnitrix. I'm going to need one of my heavy hitters for this one," Prime Ben said before tapping his Omnitrix and transforming. He turned into an alien with a humanoid robotic appearance. He has a green and white body with large cylinders on his arms near his wrists, that are full of a green energy with dark green bubble-like spheres, which constantly move. He has the same energy on his Omnitrix-shaped chest. His head is a pointed, armored helmet. He wears the Omnitrix symbol on his green belt with a white stripe.
"I am no bug. And I am certainly a heavy hitter. I am now… Atomix," Prime Ben, now as Atomix said.
Ultimate Humungousaur fired a barrage of missiles at Atomix, who created a nuclear force field and was not at all hit. Ultimate Humungousaur growled while charging at Atomix before jumping up and throwing a punch at Atomix, who easily caught his fist and charged up his free hand.
"Atomic Uppercut," Atomix said before delivering an uppercut to Ultimate Humungousaur, sending him a far distance. Atomix then charged up a blast.
"Yaa-mee-na, haa-mee-na, haa-mee-na, haa-mee-na, haa-mee-na, ha!" Atomix chanted before firing his blast at Ultimate Humungousaur, sending him through the island and a few more.
Omni-Kix Four Arms turned back to normal and his jaw dropped as he was absolutely speechless and went up to Atomix and could only utter a few geek-out shrieks. Atomix picked up Reboot Ben and turned to Kevin.
"Kevin Levin, keep him safe," Atomix said before tossing Reboot Ben over to Kevin, who caught him.
"What can I say? Your other self thinks I'm good with kids," Kevin said to Reboot Ben.
"Cousin, gather and shield the others and fly to safety. I have got this one," Atomix said.
Obeying him, Gwen used her telekinesis to gather everyone together and she put a force field around herself and everyone else before flying them all to a safe distance. Albedo got back up and turned into Ultimate Swampfire. Ultimate Swampfire used his azur-pyrokinesis to propel himself up to face Atomix again. Ultimate Swampfire blasted his blue fire at Atomix, who dodged the attack. Ultimate Swampfire then launched his fire bombs at Atomix, but Atomix shielded himself from the attack. Ultimate Swampfire then generated some vines below Atomix. These vines were very large and thick and managed to restrain Atomix to the ground. Atomix's core started glowing green though, and Atomix managed to burn his arms out of the vines before unleashing nuclear rays on the rest of the vines, incinerating them.
"Ah, fissile whistle," Atomix shouted before flying towards Ultimate Swampfire at high speeds, punching him and sending him back.
Ultimate Swampfire then transformed into Ultimate Albedo.
"Not bad. But even though I don't have all of your aliens. I gained the Fulmini transformation. And I am capable of using it to rival your current power," Ultimate Albedo said before transforming into a version of Shock Rock with red eyes, energy, and moss and the Ultimatrix symbol on his chest.
He then hyper-evolved himself into Ultimate Shock Rock. His body was as big as Atomix's only a bit more muscular, and his body appears to mainly consist of red energy. There are four sharp, curved spikes protruding from both of his shoulders. His arms are rather large, stretching down a bit past his knees in resting position. His forearms are covered in rock and he has rocky braces around his wrists and upper arms. His legs and feet are covered in rock and his feet have two toes and a sharp heel. He has rocky shoulder guards and rocks on his hips. His chest is covered in stone with a V-like crack in the middle, and he has a red moss-like substance on his shoulders and around his neck. His head is covered in stone and has red eyes and what appears to be a warlord-like helmet. He wears the Ultimatrix symbol on his chest above the crack.
Ultimate Shock Rock charged up and was engulfed by a red electric aura.
"Very well," Atomix said before stretching and getting into a battle stance, "Let's see what you can do!"
Ultimate Shock Rock flew towards Atomix at high speed ready to punch him, but Atomix blocked the punch and the two engaged in a fistfight, exchanging blows and dodging some of them. Ultimate Shock Rock unleashed a powerful electric blast on Atomix, who retaliated by putting his hands behind him to the left and charging up a nuclear blast.
"Ah, fissile missile!" Atomix yelled before releasing the blast towards Ultimate Shock Rock.
Ultimate Shock Rock got knocked back but charged at Atomix in a red comet. He hit Atomix, but he charged at Ultimate Shock Rock in a green comet and both opponents repeatedly charged towards each other from different angles before they charged at each other directly with a fist ready. Both opponents punched each other in the face at the same time, knocking each other back. Ultimate Shock Rock flew up and unleashed a barrage of electric blasts at Atomix, who evaded all of the blasts and unleashed a nuclear laser at Ultimate Shock Rock. Ultimate Shock Rock created a force field to prevent him from being harmed and charged at Atomix in a red comet. Atomix caught him and the two powerful aliens engaged in an armlock with their energy surging behind them to try to win against the opponent. Atomix proved to be stronger as he charged up his hands with nuclear energy and unleashed a nuclear explosion that sent Ultimate Shock Rock back. Ultimate Shock Rock then engulfed himself in an electric aura and lightning storms surrounded his arms. He put his arms out and unleashed a very large and powerful electric laser at Atomix. Atomix noticed this and charged up his hands with nuclear energy.
"Yaa-mee-na, haa-mee-na, haa-mee-na, haa-mee-na, haa-mee-na, ha!" Atomix shouted before unleashing a powerful nuclear laser.
Both attacks clashed with each other and both aliens struggled to get their attacks to power through the other. Atomix proved to be superior however, as he charged up more nuclear energy and his attack went through Ultimate Shock Rock's and he was sent back. When Ultimate Shock Rock got back up, he noticed Atomix floating right in front of him, charging up nuclear energy while moving his hands in the motion of an infinity symbol.
"Haa-mee-na, haa-mee-na, haa-mee-na!" Atomix said before getting back in battle stance and having his hands in fists to contain all of the energy he was about to unleash before shouting, "Nuclear Winner!"
Atomix unleashed a nuclear blast that could be seen from miles away, and blew up more that half of the island. Ultimate Shock Rock still stood in his place, but fell to his knees and then flat on his face before reverting back to Ultimate Albedo. Atomix picked up Ultimate Albedo who squirmed a bit.
"Release me! Or suffer the consequences!" Ultimate Albedo demanded.
"Pretty big talk from such a little guy," Atomix said.
Ultimate Albedo blasted Atomix in the head with a laser from his third eye, irritating him.
"That's it! You are so out of here," Atomix said.
Atomix then posed similar to a baseball pitcher and winded up the arm he used to hold Ultimate Albedo, and threw him with enough force to create a sonic boom upon releasing him, sending Ultimate Albedo flying at hypersonic speeds and screaming the whole way. Atomix turned back to normal and everyone went up to him.
"THAT! WAS! AWESOME!" Reboot Ben said, while geeking out.
Prime Ben high fived his Reboot counterpart and turned his attention to everyone else.
"It was a very wise choice shifting into your Prypiatosian-A form to battle a hyper-evolved Fulmini," Rook said.
"Yes, but I highly recommend that we save the celebrations for after we escape the Null Void," Swift said, "the commotion of the battle might have attracted a…"
"Way Bad?" Reboot Ben asked, cutting Swift off and turning everyone's attention to him.
Reboot Ben was standing on a grotesque beasts, with the upper part of their body slightly resembling a frog's and three black claws on each hand. It has black lips, black crystal shaped spikes on their shoulders, and has four bacteriophage-like legs.
"Don't worry. I took care of it," Reboot Ben said, "I took out this Way Bad here and I didn't even have to transform."
"Wait, you thought that was a Way Bad?" Gwen asked.
"Yeah," Reboot Ben responded.
"That's not a Way Bad. That's a Wigsilian Org Beast," Manny said.
"Okay. But in all fairness, I have no idea what a Way Bad looks like. Can someone please give me a description of it?" Reboot Ben asked.
Everyone, except Reboot Ben, got a bit nervous and slowly backed away, confusing Reboot Ben.
"Was it something I said?" Reboot Ben asked.
"No. But If you must know the answer to the first question, then a Way Bad sort of looks a bit of something like…" Prime Ben said before pointing behind Reboot Ben, "That!"
Reboot Ben turned around and saw a colossal, purple and grey humanoid alien with four-fingered hands and an extremely muscular body. It had purple arm blades and a purple head fin, and it had a skull-like face and red eyes, along with a rib-like torso and silver metal parts on its arms, legs, and head. This giant monster was a Way Bad.
The Way Bad roared at the group and Reboot Ben responded by saying, "Okay, you were right. I don't want to fight a Way Bad anymore."
