TOTAL DRAMA ISLAND- DAY 9
Eliminated- Justin, Eva, Harold
"And we're back to Total Drama Island! Last time we had a very nice competition where we had both teams neck and neck over who would win the challenge. Tyler and Lindsay got knocked out hard in this challenge, and it might be the start of their relationship! Duncan had a nice strategy for his team due to his juvie experience, and it was tough to beat! Noah from the Gophers was able to find a counterattack and the last game ended between geek and nerd! Cody makes an absurd throw, winning the challenge for his team and causing Harold's elimination! And get this, Harold couldn't keep his room clean for some reason. Talk about gross." Chris stands up on the dock as always, laughing about the other's misfortune.
"Who's up next? What will happen next, and who will eventually anger Maverick? Stay tuned for…"
"Total Drama Island!"
The first shot depicts the resort in full. It leads up to a giant forested cliff and zooms past Chris as he sips a coffee. The camera shot then dives into the water below the cliff.
Dear Mom and Dad, I'm doing fine,
You guys are on my mind.
We see Ezekiel and Owen snorkeling together. Owen farts. Geoff and Bridgette are seen talking on different surfboards, and bubbles of Owen's fart get to the surface. A fish rises to the surface, and an eagle carries Geoff. Bridgette just laughs, mildly concerned.
You asked me what I wanted to be
And now I think the answer is plain to see,
I wanna be famous.
The eagle drops Geoff down as it soars past the sun. He falls down a few tree branches, losing most of his clothing along the way. DJ is relaxing around animals but as Geoff lands on his lap, the animals panic and scramble all around the two. DJ holds Geoff closer because of this, and Geoff has an uncomfortable face because he's holding him too tight. Duncan is seen laughing at them but stops as he sees Courtney disapproving.
I wanna live close to the sun,
Go pack your bags, 'cause I've already won,
Heather is in a canoe with LeShawna going down the stream, bickering with each other. The canoe comes careening off the stream and down a waterfall, making both fall into the water below as they scream. Izzy swings on a vine over and over, but then she slips, causing her to get herself launched on the back of the outhouse, where Cody falls with his pants down.
Everything to prove, nothing in my way
I'll get there one day.
Cause, I wanna be famous!
Inside the resort's kitchen, we see Chef preparing some interesting green soup, and another cook is there as well. In the dining room, Noah is present reading something as three books are alongside him. Tyler is seen leaving the room through a door, looking at someone in particular.
Na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na!
I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous!
Next to the pool, we see Lindsay in a black and gold two-piece swimsuit, with Tyler being next to her, trying to talk to her. Then we move to Katie and Sadie, who keep talking with each other. Katie points towards something, and Sadie quickly follows. Then they go down a set of stairs, chasing each other on the beach.
Na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na!
I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous!
Beth uses her fire batons, swinging one into the air. As it lands, it turns into night, and Gwen and Trent are seen together, with Trent using his guitar. Everyone then whistles in tune.
TOTAL DRAMA- THE RICH COURSE
It's morning. By this hour, everyone wakes up.
"Okay. This is so way beyond bad!" Lindsay whines as Heather leaves the bathroom.
"Ok. What is it?" Heather rolls her eyes.
"I've run out of fake tanner already!"
"Now I actually have to suntan. In the sun! Do you realize how shriveled and wrinkly that can make your skin?"
"There is something called sunscreen, you know?" Heather starts drying her hair with a hair blower.
"Well… Maybe that works? I do have a full bottle of SPF 1000 but then I'll have to remember to apply it! And also, I absolutely don't want tan lines." Lindsay sighs.
Meanwhile, outside near the resort's pool, Owen cannonballs into the water.
"Cannonball!" A decently large splash is created, pushing Beth, Katie, and Sadie off the pool. Noah walks nearby with a book.
"Hey, Noah!" Owen waves at him, but Noah ignores him. It's very noticeable he's frowning.
"Wha?"
[Confessional- Owen
"I still wonder why from that kiss… Noah has been ignoring me lately.
Did I hurt him or something? Yesterday he slept in the lounge!"]
"Alright, resort guest! Enough beauty sleep. Time to show us what you're made of!"
We're standing on a section of the resort never seen before. There are some light and a small raised platform, with behind a little room.
"Are we gonna see a musical? I love musicals! Especially the ones with singing and dancing." Lindsay happily holds her hands as she talks with Izzy, sitting by the benches.
"Lindsay, that's exactly what a musical is." Noah deadpans as he reads a book.
"Gwen, I saved you a seat!" Trent pats the seat beside him.
"Thanks." Gwen sits down comfortably. Then Trent leans back onto the other bench, and Cody tries to mimic him, only to fall in between them. Lindsay is seen sending a kiss to someone from a distance, and Tyler catches the kiss. Heather is shocked and slaps her hair tied in a ponytail on her face.
"Ow!" Lindsay spits the hair that got caught in her mouth.
"Uhm… Where is Geoff?" Bridgette looks around as there is everyone except him.
"Oh yeah, you can't believe this. In our room there is a bath alongside a shower, so Geoff took a bath this morning. And what does he do? Put his big toe by the faucet hole. We had to call the staff, and his toe won't leave the faucet!" Duncan tells her as he laughs.
"That is so not funny." Courtney crosses her arms.
"Welcome to our outdoor amphitheater! Okay, this week's challenge is something that could be done in a summer camp! A talent contest!"
"Yes! Awesome!" Owen stands up and points to Chris.
"Each team has eight hours to pick three of their most talented mates, and these three will represent them in the show tonight! Anything goes, as long as it's legal." By the last sentence, he stares at Duncan, who snaps his fingers. Maverick appears between the benches.
"You'll be judged by me, Chris, and our dear Chef Hatchet! He's also a talent scout and a former DJ, VJ, and rap artist. The team with the least points will send one home." Suddenly, Maverick makes a contorted smile.
"And off you go!" He double-claps, exaggerating his tone a little.
"Yes, mi-lord." Duncan rolls his eyes as he says that, but then everyone starts giggling.
"What's your problem? Want a knuckle sandwich?"
"No thanks, but at this point, it seems you really want to become a servant." Maverick quickly disappears as Duncan growls.
"I swear, I'll get him and break his neck off!" Duncan stomps away.
"Wait, we have a challenge to begin!" Courtney follows him.
"Wait… wasn't Harold the guy expert in summer camp stuff, eh?" Ezekiel points it out, as they just eliminated him last episode.
"Oh, right. But I dunno, he's gross." Bridgette quickly follows Courtney.
We move to the Gophers, who settle near the beach.
"Okay, I'm the team captain, so here's how it's going to work." Heather uses a whistle to catch the attention of the team.
"Wait, who said you were team leader?" Gwen stops her.
"She did! Just now!" Lindsay responds innocently.
"And she's team leader."
"Lindsay, Beth, Izzy, and I took a vote. And I won!"
"Threatening them to vote for you is not democratic." Gwen turns around to see Trent brought her a muffin.
"Hey, snagged you an extra muffin!" Trent gives it to her. Cody is seen looking away jealously.
"Trent, you don't mind me leading this project aren't you?" Heather asks him.
"Right on! Go for it, as long we don't end up doing something stupid." Trent scratches his head.
"Good. Beth, Lindsay, Izzy, and I will be the judges."
"Ugh. Whatever." Gwen sits down.
The other team is checking how Sadie and Katie dance together. They just finished their last moves.
"Ehm." Ezekiel is without words.
"That's kind of ba-"
"Nice! Actually. We'll decide who to choose as we see other people." Courtney interrupts him before he can say anything.
Back to the Gophers, Owen is drinking a whole two liters of soda.
"Are you going to audition?" Trent waits as he talks with Gwen.
"Doubtful. You should though, I heard you at night by the dock, you're really… good." Gwen moves her hair away from her face.
"Oh boy, here he goes." Noah keeps reading the story.
"ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXY, Zed!" Owen burps the whole alphabet in one go, making the guys of the Gophers cheer on him. Except Noah who keeps reading. Owen quickly notices that.
"Yes?" Owen is left kind of confused.
"Uhm…"
"That was awesome, man!" Trent runs to him to high-five him.
"Ugh! You're not going to do that in the contest! That's disgusting!" Heather walks back repulsed.
"Do you know how hard it is to burp the entire alphabet in one go?" Trent goes in support of defending Owen.
"We have Maverick to worry about, and I don't think he'll like that. Right, Noah?" Heather crosses her arms at Noah.
"Why you're asking me, ask Maverick himself." Noah stands up and walks away, and so does Gwen.
"I'm out of here," she says.
"Anywhere that's not here."
"I can also toot Bethoven's 5th!" Owen is about to fart against his team.
"NO!" Lindsay and Beth quickly reject it.
Tyler of the Bass is quickly seen showing his skills with his yoyo, but then he tangles himself in it.
"Man, that is weak." Chris passes by disappointed.
And then Heather is seen doing ballet as classical music plays. She makes a quick leap before she finishes, making the team clap as she does a final pose.
"Thank you." Heather looks at her allies for a second.
"I vote for Heather to be in the contest!" Lindsay quickly says.
"I second that," Beth adds while nodding.
"Guys, that's so sweet! So I guess I'm in, why doesn't anyone take five?" Heather dismisses her team, sighing.
"Hmm… Where's Noah right now…" Owen looks around since he's not around his eyesight.
[Confessional- Heather
"It's clear by a mile that Gwen is hiding something in that book. But at this point, she must have brought it back to her room. That means I can't steal it. Ugh! The servants of the oh-so-elegant are on cleaning duty all around the resort. Do I risk getting caught? No, thank you. Viewers at home, you're lucky you don't see how iron-fisted Maverick can become under real pressure."]
"I'm so seriously bored…" Lindsay walks alone around the resort, and then she sees Tyler walk nearby.
"Ooh, that's not boring!"
DJ graciously shows his ribbon dancing skills. He looks kind of gloomy though. His team claps together.
"Uhm… Why is DJ-" Ezekiel is about to say something again.
"Fine. Sign him up. Next?" Courtney interrupts him as he lets DJ be one of the three on her team to compete.
"Me! I can stand on my hands for 20 minutes. Watch." Bridgette flips and holds herself on the ground by her hands.
"Okay, that'd be cute if you were a monkey. I just don't think it's quite what we're looking for. Next!" Courtney rolls her eyes as she sits on a tree stump.
"Wanna go, Zeke?" Geoff looks at Ezekiel.
"I don't think I have anything useful. But why did DJ do such a girly thing? Wouldn't be better if he did something else?" Ezekiel admits what he wanted to say. DJ gasps.
"What's that supposed to mean?" DJ lies his hands on his hips irritated.
"It would be better if you did something manlier." Ezekiel widens his eyes as DJ gets dangerously close.
"Please eat what you said." DJ calmly asks.
"Woah! Chill people, it might be just a misunderstanding." Geoff gets between them.
"But I want to know-" Ezekiel is about to add something more, but quickly gets interrupted as Courtney stands up.
"Can we not argue right now? It's DJ and me for the moment. Let's take a tiny break."
"You can talk about that talk elsewhere, please. I'm so tired…" Courtney walks away.
"Says the one who did nothing but say 'next' all the time, princess," Duncan tells her as Courtney grumbles and stomps.
"Now I wonder, where did Tyler go?" Katie asks herself.
"Oh right! He left after flopping with the yoyo…" Sadie responds to her.
The camera pans further and further into the resort to see…
"Oh, Tyler." Lindsay kisses him while she's topless, sitting on top of him as both are tied in the yoyo. She giggles as Tyler fondles her breasts.
And the camera flings back.
"Now that I think of it, I'd rather not know." Sadie freezes slightly off-putted.
"Me too, that Lindsay girl on the other team, right?" Katie mumbles uncomfortably.
[Confessional- Bridgette
"I want to know why Ezekiel made such a bad comment on DJ… And why DJ has been quite gloomy all through the week? It feels like he's not supposed to be like this, really."
"Guess I'll have to be Detective Bridgette." She sighs.]
We go back to the Bass, who gathered around to see Geoff skateboarding over some rocks.
"I guess it's Geoff, DJ's ribbon thing, and your violin solo," Bridgette tells Courtney, who nods.
"Awesome! I'm gonna be on TV!" Geoff jumps excitedly
"You're already on TV." Bridgette corrects him.
"Oh yeah. Hello there, dudes!" Geoff goes to the camera to say hello to the public.
The gopher guys and Izzy sit around a pair of tables.
"I call this… the dance of the rattlesnake!" Izzy turns on the radio as she starts dancing.
"Woosh, ooh, woosh, ooh! Look into my eyes, what did you see? Deudeu deudeu!"
"Haha, she's good." Owen laughs as he gets slightly hypnotized, but he looks worried as he can't find Noah.
We then quickly pass to Beth, who spins a pair of batons on her hands. She does a few tricks, before launching them into the air. She does a split as she catches both batons.
"Ok. That was good. I guess it's me, Trent, and you." Heather wrote on her clipboard.
"I can do something else with the batons too, I just need to find something…" Beth walks away, and so everyone else scrambles.
[Tea Time with Maverick]
Noah is seen sitting on a chair on the balcony of Maverick's office. Maverick sets a table and on top, there is an English afternoon tea set.
"There is clearly something bothering you if you really wanted to see me for advice during the challenge." Maverick pours tea into Noah's cup.
"It's Owen… I don't know how to deal with what he did honestly." Noah eats a few of the sweets.
"He's nice and all… But that was all too sudden."
"Hm… Did you like what he did?" Maverick puts a sugar cube on his tea.
"Uh, kind of?"
"It's awkward between us, honestly." Noah sighs as he sips tea.
"Just be honest with yourself. You're overthinking when Owen is all chill about it."
"There is only a yes or a no in the answer. If you want to be with him, you either tell him before he gets with someone else or tell him that you like him but you don't want to rush. And if you don't… Just tell him, I'm sure he'll understand."
"Is that supposed to be that simple?" Noah sips more tea.
"If you think it is, then it is. Now, you have 2 hours before the actual challenge begins, you'd rather explain to them that you were with me. Now go, you seem to have finished there." Maverick sees Noah stand up.
"Thank you." He quickly walks inside. Maverick sees Owen calling Noah.
[Tea Time with Maverick- END]
Ezekiel is heard grumbling on top of a rock.
"Ezekiel, there you are!" Bridgette appears right on his back.
"You wanna talk about it?"
"About what? DJ being a complete sissy with those muscles?" Ezekiel turns around.
"Oh. What does that mean? He's good! Why are you so negative about him?" Bridgette makes a sound of disbelief.
"Again, why is he doing something a woman does? Men are supposed to protect the girls, not be like them." Ezekiel slouches more.
"Well, I understand now. Listen, I know you were always on your farm, but you can't just have such a closed mind in the outside world. It doesn't work like that!" Bridgette pats his shoulder.
"I hope you'll understand what I mean!"
Ezekiel's gaze moves along the lake.
Moving to another side of the island, Gwen is seen writing in her diary on top of another rock. Cody is seen walking to her.
"Whatcha got there? Uh, journal?" Cody sits right beside her.
"Beat it." Gwen keeps on writing,"
"Oh, I get it. Yeah, it's private huh? I'm down with that, yeah. It's cool, bro." Cody starts bothering Gwen.
"Listen, whatever you're trying to do, it's not funny by any means possible." Gwen stands up from the rock.
"I just wanted… Oh." Cody sees her go away.
Time passes, and it's evening.
"Finally, Noah. You're here! Where did you go all day?" Heather looks at him suspiciously.
"Took a bit of advice from Maverick. Thank you very much." Noah sits down next to Owen.
"Uhm…" Owen scratches his chin.
"It's the TDI challenge extravaganza! Welcome to the very first Playa de la Victoria talent contest! 6 resort guests will showcase their mad skills and desperately try not to humiliate themselves. First up for the Killer Bass! Geoff!" Chris presents the challenge, sitting by a table alongside Chef and Chris.
Geoff quickly rushes onto the stage and does a few skateboarding tricks. One after the other, the Bass cheer on him. However, one big flip and jump breaks his skateboard.
"Woah. The kind of wrecks the ride." Geoff stands still, not knowing what to do.
"That's it? Well, well, well. It was nice seeing something 'cool', but then you have to cut that short. A four." Maverick presses a button to display the number. So do the other me, displaying a four and a six.
"And we have a 14!" Chris claps once.
[0-0-0|14-0-0]
"I don't know, I like things that break down extremely easily." Chef rolls his eyes.
"Without further delay, here's she for the leaders, Heather!"
Heather starts with a pose, and then she starts dancing. Gracefully. Elegantly.
"Oh dear, she's kind of good!" Sadie talks with Katie.
"Yeah! She is!" Katie responds to her quickly.
Heather starts doing a pirouette.
And she continues.
And even more spins.
"And voila!" Heather makes a final pose, and then she bows, making her whole team cheer on her.
"Okay. That was really good." Gwen claps slowly.
"I know, right? Yay!" Lindsay cheers even louder.
"And well…"
"9, 8 and 9! That makes a 26!" Chris
[26-0-0|14-0-0]
"That was a very impressive footwork. However, I might have added something before the pirouette. It was a bit too light towards the middle point. Still, you got a high score." Maverick claps as he receives a piece of paper.
"Good. Thank you very much," Heather steps down the stage.
"Second up for the killer bass! A round of applause for the big guy! DJ!" Chris quickly presents him, who steps in and moves quickly.
"Yay!" Katie and Sadie cheer on him together.
He's similarly dainty, but his gloomed face is off-putting. After two jumps and a whip-cracking sound, DJ accidentally trips on his ribbon.
"Ooh!" Chris cowls a bit.
DJ tries to recover, and he does, albeit in a very unceremonious way.
"I like the intention. You were doing ok up until that point… Yet also, you're unlucky you're straight right after Heather. I have to give you a 3." Maverick writes on a separate piece of paper and gives it to a servant. Chef raises his eyebrow.
"Dainty, and yet masculine. And you'll get a 2 and a 2 as well. That stank a little, so you get a total of 7!" Chris makes the Bass gasp.
[26-0-0|14-7-0]
"I have to ask. Why you're frowning so much? Come on, we're on live TV!" Chris crosses his arms.
"It's complicated." DJ slouches on defeat as he goes back to the backstage.
"Three down and three acts to go, it's the Screaming Gophers screaming ahead! Next on the deck! Trent! And take it away!" Chris follows with the next contestant.
"This one goes out to someone special here," Trent says as Gwen gets his attention.
They say that we've only got summer.
And I say that's really a bummer.
But we'll swim in the sun.
and have lots of fun
It'll just be the two of us
Nothing to do, but just hang.
So let me say only this.
And stick around for just one kiss.
"That was very cute. I'll give him an 8." Maverick claps, looking somewhere.
"And I'll give him 8 as well… CHEF?" Chris notices Chef only gives him a four.
"Listen. When I do a song at least don't do it so cheaply. It sounds incredibly corny." Chef growls.
"Sure…" Chris pouts.
"Thank you." Trent stands up and waves at Gwen.
[26-20-0|14-7-0]
"Moving on! Courtney is the last one of the Bass! Will she be able to recover her team's pitful score?" Chris asks a question nobody asked.
"Eyes. On. Him. I have to save my team from elimination…" Courtney looks at Maverick as she holds her violin. And she starts playing. He gets intrigued.
"La Campanella by Paganini?" Maverick whispers looking closely.
Her fingers dance effortlessly along the fingerboard, executing the intricate passages with precision and flair. The bow moves swiftly while each note is clear and bright. Despite playing for quite a while, it feels like only a minute passed before she finishes. After a long, deafening silence, she bows as The Bass cheer on her. Both Chris and Chef give her a 10.
"Nice one, Court!" Duncan shouts at her approvingly.
"I have to say, you played it perfectly. Your talent is quite strong Courtney, and I thought I didn't. I can't deny a 10."
[26-20-0|14-7-30]
"Although…"
"Courtney. It's clear you want to please me in some way or another. What are you trying to do, exactly?" Maverick stares at her with one eye closed, leaning on the table.
"Uh, nothing! I'm really trying my best here." Courtney sees that she has eyes all over her.
"This is something I've been doing since childhood…"
"What do you want to do in a few years?" Maverick narrows his eye.
"In a few years? A lawyer, sir." Courtney taps her shoe once.
"Hm. Sir? Funny, You can go. Next?" Maverick elbows Chris, since he was distracted.
"Oh, yeah! The last Gopher only needs 6 points to beat the other team."
"And that one is Beth! With- oh, you've already begun."
Beth jumps in and starts spinning her batons.
"This is going to be easy!" She does a few poses and juggles the batons as she keeps moving.
She then decides to set the batons on fire, making everyone curious. Beth then, not wanting to get stuck spinning, launches both batons.
…
They spin. One lands right in front of Beth, and she's able to catch it. While the other…
…
"Wait, where are they… AH!" Chris and Chef jump away as it lands right on Maverick. The table is quickly set on fire as well, making both teams back off.
"That's not-" Maverick's servants quickly rescue him with a fire extinguisher, clouding the place with a mist.
"THE EQUIPMENT!"
"I'll have to give you 0!" Chris angrily inputs a 0 as soon as he gets back. So does Chef.
"And my shirt is gone. Golly." As soon as the fog sets off Maverick dusts himself off as he's left shirtless. People quickly take notice of him, and Owen is seen drooling.
"Sure, I know that I'm conventionally attractive. But keep your ogling for when I'm anywhere but an accident that almost hurt. A lot." Maverick sighs as he orders his servants to clear the area, while he steps right in front of her.
"Beth. You're very funny. Very funny that I'll give you a 4. You know what that means?"
[26-20-4|14-7-30]
"The Killer Bass win! By a point!" Chris announces the winner, making the team cheer as Courtney gets in the center of the team.
"Gophers, you'll choose your favorite loser, and we see ourselves at the bonfire!"
[Confessional- Heather]
"I can't believe we lost in such an absurd way,
I don't have a choice but to let her believe we're voting for someone else.
I'm losing an ally this early, and this is not good."]
"Kudos to all of you for an incredible night! And here we are, with only one golden marshmallow left on this plate. Beth and Noah…"
"One disappeared halfway through the challenge… doing whatever with 'Sir.'" Chris narrows his eyes.
"And one almost caused a fire! The last marshmallow goes to…"
.

.
.
.
.

.
.
.
.
.
"Noah!"
"That was the most obvious outcome." Noah eats the marshmallow whole.
"I deserve it. I made a mistake which cost us the challenge."
"Good luck to everyone!"
"Aw, Beth! I let you be sure, I didn't vote for you!" Lindsay hugs her.
"Really?" Beth looks incredulous.
"Uh, for sure!" Lindsay grimaces at Heather, as Beth walks down the dock.
[Confessional- Noah
"Gee, that almost made me crawl to Owen. I have to tell him how I feel about him."
"I could be eliminated at any point now."]
Beth is the next out. I'm holding some characters more than they did because I have arcs set up for them, and Beth is one which I have no idea what to write about. Heather is already at a big disadvantage, unlike in the summer camp. Leave a review if you want to give a comment or a suggestion!
