"Astor…?" Winter wondered once Weiss had told her what had happened. "The same dark mage that belonged to that Calamity Ganon cult?"
"I… guess!"
Winter folded her arms. "He shouldn't be alive… I know he escaped when you picked up the Master Sword in Korok Forest, but to see him alive a century later? I wonder if it's just a lingering phantom…"
"You think he's still here for some unfinished business?"
"Possibly. There's no possible way that, outside of Zoras, Gorons and Sheikah, people could live for a century longer than they should. Father faced him in battle when he was in his prime, so it should not be possible for him to be alive."
"And yet, there's us."
"Indeed. So if he found a way to make himself immortal through dark magic… well, no one is truly invincible. Everyone has a weakness."
"Right." Weiss nodded as they turned around and went back to Lurelin via Winter's boat now that the fog had all cleared up.
"There's just one thing."
"What is it?"
"If that Sheikah dares to show their face after they stripped you of your clothing, there will be one less Sheikah to worry about."
"I… wouldn't put it past you."
BGM: Lurelin (The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild)
"You're back!" Ghira said once they arrived back at Lurelin. "I thought for sure you'd have perished."
"No, thankfully I'm still alive." Weiss said as Revali flew down and landed on her shoulder. "However, I need to be going to Gerudo Desert."
"Right." Ghira nodded.
"Before you leave, have some of this!" Kali smiled, handing her a variety of fruit and fish.
"Oh, thank you." Weiss smiled as she put the fruit and fish in her bag and then walked off, waving goodbye to everyone as she walked away.
However, Winter wasn't going to stand idly and watch her sister disappear from her. True, she had just woken up from a century long slumber of being sealed from Naydra and she was in an unfamiliar Hyrule, so she needed to take it easy to get her mind settled.
…Yet Weiss was the only thing she had left. She knew very well that Weiss could handle herself just fine no matter what was thrown at her. After all, she is Ruby's Mage Knight after all. She had to admit that she was a lot stronger than she could ever be.
And yet, even the best warriors slip up every now and then. She recalled that the best archer they had was ambushed by a Yiga and got taken out before he could even counterattack. Even on their best days, someone gets taken out or critically injured.
The same can happen with Weiss.
She clenched her fists. She knew what she had to do.
"Miss Schnee, is everything alright?" Ghira asked.
"I appreciate your hospitality… and while it's true I need to relax after waking up to a new and different Hyrule… Weiss is all I have left."
Ghira nodded. "I understand. I will not stop you."
With a nod, Winter took off running.

BGM: Field - Day (The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild)
Weiss walked out of Atunn Valley, seeing a forest ahead of her. With her luck, she could probably find a stable and ask how much further it is 'til she hits Gerudo Desert.
However, she did feel a bit lonely. Even if Revali was nearby and in the air, something about leaving Winter behind made her feel… empty.
She was supposedly her sister, yet she can't remember a thing about it, even if they had shared stories the previous knight.
It bothered her. Surely she would have remembered at least something about Winter. She felt like a total stranger, yet her heart feels connected to Winter.
Weiss shook her head. No use dwelling on it. Her memories will come back when they are ready to resurface. She can feel that she is her sister but can't for the life of her remember her, yet could easily remember Whitley.
She walked into the Ebara Forest, wandering around as dragonflies and other bugs flew around. A few woodland creatures hid away from her. Not because they were scared of her… but more because of what that bald eagle could do to them. Luckily, the bald eagle passed by.
She soon came across Floria Bridge, when suddenly lightning flashed in the sky. "...Another rainstorm?" She wondered in confusion as she power walked through the bridge… however, as she did, a Yiga clan member appeared in front of her.
"This is far as you go!"
"Great, another one of you idiots." Weiss rolled her eyes as she pulled out an Edge of Duality. The Yiga smirked behind his mask, doing some handsigns before disappearing. Weiss quickly rolled out of the way to avoid getting hit by the Yiga, only she rolled right into a glue trap.
"Wha…?!"
"Haha! Too easy!" He exclaimed as he ran forward as Weiss readied her Hylian Shield… but in a flash, a sword impaled the Yiga Clan from behind. "Gragh!"
"Don't even think about it, Yiga scum." Winter said coldly as she removed the blade and then struck him with a swift lightning bolt to finish him off.
"Winter…?"
"I know I should be back at Lurelin, but… you're all I have left. I was worried something would have happened to you if I just sat back and just-"
Weiss burned away the glue trap and responded by hugging her.
"It's weird… I don't remember you but my heart does… is it weird?"
Winter teared up. "No… I don't think so." She returned the hug as Revali came flying down to greet the duo as they walked away together until they came across the Stable.

"Oh hey." Roman greeted as he was smoking a cigar. "Fancy meeting you he-" He spotted Winter. "Ooooh, hello there… fancy meeting a gal like you. This your mother?"
"Sister." Weiss said.
"Ah-"
Winter coughed from the smoke. "Sorry, I'm not… interested."
Roman nodded. "That's a shame, but I understand… dating a traveling salesman would be rather tricky."
Or nobody wants to date a smoker… Neo thought, munching on a meal.
"So, came to buy something?"
"Just looking for a way to Gerudo Desert." Weiss said.
"The Gerudo Desert! Well, I'd say your best pick is to cross the bridge at Lake Hylia and then take a left. Once you reach the walls of the Great Plateau, you just gotta go around it until you find another bridge that will take you into Gerudo Canyon. That will take you straight to the desert."
"Good to know." Weiss nodded.
I could've told her that… Winter frowned.
At that moment, they heard a roar of a dragon, startling all of them. Weiss immediately ran outside.

BGM: Dragon (The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild)
Weiss looked up through the rain as some stablegoers looked on in awe at the sight of Farosh flying around the area. They knew Farosh tends to stick around Lake Floria, but to see the big dragon in person was a sight to behold.
Weiss stared at the breathtaking sight, as did Winter. Farosh majestically flew around the Faron region, but a part of him started to glow before the ball of light came flying down into Weiss's hands.
Farosh's Scale.
"Well, that's something you don't see every day." Roman said.
Immediately, Weiss remembered what Li had said to her.
"Where's Dracozu Lake?"
"Dracozu Lake? I've heard it's past the Sarjon Woods from here." Roman explained. "Once you're near the Zonai Ruins, go deeper into the woods and you'll find the lake. Or so I've heard anyway."
"Thanks." Weiss nodded.
"You sure you want to do this?" Winter asked.
"Yeah." Weiss nodded in determination. "I already have the power of Din and Nayru, so let's complete the set."
"Right." Winter agreed as they took off together.
"You two be careful!" Roman called out to them before sighing. "Neo, you think I'll ever find a lady?"
["If you stopped smoking, you probably will."]

The party made their way through the woods, taking out any stray Lizalfos or Moblin that got curious. As they fought, both sisters covered each other's backs while Revali covered them from above, corkscrewing and clawing Bokoblins' eye balls out as they made their way deeper into the forest.
They also spotted the Faron Tower that Weiss immediately went towards as Winter and Revali helped her out by taking out the Electric Wizzrobes as Weiss climbed up, then activated the tower.
Once more of the map was filled in, she hopped down and gently ascended with her Paraglider, then they crossed the river with their glyphs and made it back to the other side.
"...Do you hear something?" Winter asked.
"It sounds like an accordion…"
BGM: Kass' Theme (The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild)
As they got closer, they'd find Kass playing a melody on his accordion. "Hmm? Ah, hello young traveler! I see you have a few companions with you." Kass greeted. "If I'm not mistaken, this would happen to be your mo-"
"Sister." Winter corrected quickly.
"-That was my next guess." Kass said with a sweatdrop.
"What are you doing out here?" Weiss wondered.
"Ah, there's an ancient verse that had been passed down in this region. Would you like to hear it?"
"Sure."
With a nod, Kass cleared his throat.
"Where the forest dragon splays its jaws, a shrine sleeps with noble cause~"
Kass stopped singing. "I've never heard of this forest dragon, but I suppose it could mean it's somewhere in Damel Forest just up ahead."
"We'll take a look." Weiss said as the party walked off together.
"Hold on a moment! Perhaps I should come with you. There are monsters in this forest."
"Can you hold your own?" Winter asked.
"I do have some songs that can, shall we say, turn the tide."
"Alright, let's go then." Weiss said as they walked off together with Kass by their side.

However, as they ventured deeper in, they saw a bunch of enemies camping out… and then a Bokoblin spotted them and blew into his horn.
"Allow me!" Kass said, proceeding to play… where suddenly, red auras wrapped around the party. They felt… stronger.
BGM: Kass' Theme (Super Smash Bros Ultimate)
"Hraaaaah!" Weiss lunged forward, striking a Bokoblin with Myrtenaster. Normally, it would just knock them down, but the added power was enough to send the Bokoblin flying into a cliff wall.
Winter ran up some stairs at the camp and proceeded to slash her way through the Bokoblins, putting up some glyphs and firing some ice chunks.
A Moblin approached Kass, readying his club as the Rito shifted his eyes.
"Have at you, vile beast!" Kass said as he jumped back and played a tune as musical notes came out and surrounded the Moblin. The Moblin scratched his head and touched a musical note, where they all exploded in a fiery inferno as Kass continued to play, soundwaves coming out and stunning anyone around him before he played another tune, where several musical notes dropped down on the Moblin and exploded in electricity to finish it off.
"You're off key!" Kass said with a nod before taking off with the ladies and eagle.
"I didn't know you could fight!" Weiss said.
"Fighter? No. I'm more of a musician, but I'm not afraid to defend myself if the situation calls for it!" Kass said proudly as they went through the snake-like river as they took care of some Bokoblins.
Deeper inside, Kass played a tune that caused a blue aura to wrap around everyone, sharpening up their defense as a few Bokoblin archers aimed and fired. Weiss's eyes turned draconic as her necklace tattoo glowed as she put up reflective barriers around them, sending the arrows back and striking their heads.
They soon arrived at their destination where Kass played a tune as several musical notes formed as a cacophony tornado and flew around, shredding through any Moblin or Wizzrobe that tried to attack them, knocking them to the ground where Revali, Winter and Weiss put them out of their misery.

They walked through the corridor, finding the Spring of Courage. Kass rubbed his beak as he flew up into the air and spotted the maws of a dragon from a bird's eye view. "Incredible!"
Weiss put Farosh's Scale into the spring of courage, where a door opened up to reveal the Shrine.
"Only the one who holds the scale may enter."
Winter frowned, but nodded in understanding. "Good luck, Weiss."
"I'll be back." Weiss smiled as she walked into the shrine after activating it.
"To you who holds the scale of Farosh, I offer this trial in the name of the goddess Farore. If you are courageous enough to prove yourself against this trial, then you will be given a great gift."
The scale glowed brightly, changing the area around her as she found herself standing in water with a bare tree in the middle of the shallow pond. What was more bewildering to her was that the whole background was white in color.
Weiss raised an eyebrow, walking around with Myrtenaster at the ready. She approached the tree, tilting her head.
"Do I have to climb this or… cut it down…?" She wondered as she shrugged and left the tree.
What she didn't notice was that her reflection wasn't underneath her.
Weiss stopped walking, feeling as if she's not alone.
"Do you have the courage to face yourself?"
"Face… myself?"
Weiss turned around, seeing a dark reflection of herself. "Huh?!"
The shadowy, red eyed figure slowly approached her, holding up a shadowy version of Myrtenaster.
"I was honestly expecting some kind of enchanted mirror, but this works too, I guess." Weiss said as she got in a stance. "Bring it, shadow… me!"
BGM: Boss Battle (Hyrule Warriors)
Both Weiss and her dark self lunged, both of them stabbing each other in the shoulder as they quickly attacked the other in quick succession, yet they both either blocked or barely stabbed each other as they jumped back.
Weiss put up a white glyph as ice chunks flew out but Dark Weiss rolled out of the way and lunged from the side. Weiss parried her with the shield and then tried to shield bash her, but Dark Weiss jumped back.
Dark Weiss proceeded to run around Weiss as she stood still, the latter trying to find an opening. Her eyes turned draconic as her arm burst into flames as Dark Weiss lunged at her from behind… only for Weiss to punch the ground to create a massive Din's Explosion that knocked Dark Weiss off of her feet, giving Weiss plenty of time to stab her multiple times, thrusting gracefully.
Dark Weiss growled, sinking into the water below and emerging behind Weiss. She quickly turned around and narrowly avoided getting stabbed through the chest.
We're both evenly matched… but I wonder if I can switch things up.
Weiss put Myrtenaster away and used Nayru's Love to get Dark Weiss off of her neck for a few moments as she pulled out the Biggoron Sword. Once she dismissed Nayru's Love, the fight continued as Dark Weiss continued to thrust, but Weiss quickly parried and then unleashed a spin attack that made Dark Weiss cry out in pain.
Dark Weiss growled, quickly thrusting at her but Weiss easily blocked with the sword once she paid attention to Dark Weiss's arm movements.
Am I that predictable? Weiss wondered as she parried her again, having Din's Fire to wrap around the Biggoron Sword and swung down, creating an explosion that knocked Dark Weiss on her back, then Weiss jumped up and unleashed a Finishing Blow, shoving the Biggoron Sword through Dark Weiss' chest to finish her off.
End BGM
Dark Weiss disappeared as Weiss put away the Biggoron Sword.
"Well done. Now for the second part of this trial."
Weiss was enveloped in a white light where she found herself on top of a pirate ship in the middle of the ocean. "Huh?!"
"You will now face an opponent from a different universe, far different than ours. May you have courage in this fight."
"Who am I facing?"
"Yo!" A voice called out.
Weiss turned around to see a female pirate approaching. "Oh, hi. Who are you?"
"Name's Tetra, nice to meet ya! Though, technically, I'm Zelda, but I don't really do that whole princess thing. I'm from a different universe!"
"Universe…? But I thought it was a different timeline."
"Pffft. Timeline? Yeah right. Who put that stupid idea in your head? Only an idiot would think that!"
Meanwhile…
Link stopped walking through a cave. "...Why do I feel as if I just got insulted?"
Back with them…
"I… see."
"Meh, all I know is that I got called out to help someone do their Trial of Courage… which, seems to be a bit backwards. From what I know, the Zeldas in the different eras were known for their Wisdom, hence the Triforce of Wisdom went to them… buuuuut what do I know? I ain't a goddess."
Weiss sweatdropped. "Ooookay… so, what are you going to help me with?"
BGM: Title & Dragon (Hyrule Warriors Legends)
Tetra pulled out a pistol, aiming it at Weiss. "I think we all know the answer to that."
Weiss flinched, quickly blocking with the shield as the hot water that Tetra shot out dripped and landed on her foot. "Nnngh!" She grunted as Tetra pulled out her sword.
"I'm gonna make ya walk the plank!"
Weiss shield bashed Tetra after she lunged forward, the latter shaking it off as Weiss thrusted, striking Tetra in the shoulder. "Mmph!" Tetra grunted before smirking, swinging her cutlass wildly as Weiss was able to fend her off and parried her, but Tetra jumped over her and, giving Weiss a wink, proceeded to shoot her from above.
"Gragh!" Weiss grunted as she found herself stuck in a water puddle as Tetra landed on the ground and proceeded to swing her blade as brutally graceful as she could be before finishing off by shooting Weiss in the head with a torrent of water.
With a growl, Weiss brought out her Lightning Rod and proceeded to throw lightning bolts out, but Tetra was able to freely avoid it or blocked it with her cutlass, quickly rolling around and slashing her in the back.
"Rrrgh…!" Weiss grunted as she immediately put up Nayru's Love right as Tetra pulled out a Bow of Light and fired, the Arrow of Light being reflected.
"Whoa!" Tetra yelped, ducking as Weiss ran ahead, switching back to Myrtenaster and stabbing her several times before kicking her away, then trapping her in a Glyph-shaped box and hitting her with fireballs all around.
Once the glyphs disappeared, Tetra aimed and fired at Weiss's right, followed by her left.
"Huh? You missed!"
"Oh, I'm not aiming for you!" Tetra said, firing one behind her as she formed a triangle… and a massive torrent of water came up and sent Weiss in the air. With a smirk, Tetra fired an arrow but Weiss used her Wind to recover and flew back down, her eyes turning draconic and punching the ground, creating a massive dragon-like explosion that knocked Tetra off the boat.
Splash!
Tetra came up for air, pulling out a hookshot and latching up on the back of the boat, bringing herself up with a smile as the two of them proceeded to attack each other again… completely unaware that the weather turned bad and the wind started howling, and right on cue, a massive vortex came barreling toward them.
"Huh?" Weiss turned her head. "WHAT THE?!"
"Oh that? You get used to it." Tetra waved it off as the vortex picked them up and sent them flying high into the sky where they saw a rainbow above the clouds.
Weiss and Tetra both lunged, attacking each other again as Tetra parried Weiss, but the latter recovered by rolling out of the way and backslicing Tetra. "Mmmph!" Tetra grunted as the ship started to fall back, both of them feeling lighter.
Weiss immediately activated the wind as she flew over and slashed at Tetra to knock her above as she flew up and slashed her down before Tetra could even blink. "Waaaaaaaaah!" Tetra cried as was launched toward the falling ship.
"...Wait a minute!" Weiss' eyes widened as she flew back down and grabbed Tetra's wrist.
SPLAAAAAAAAASH!
"You… saved me?"
"You said you're Zelda… and even if you disregarded the whole princess thing, I wasn't going to let you die."
"Me? Die? Ha! I'll just have major bruising but… thanks anyway!" Tetra chuckled as they both landed, then they both continued to fight as the ship continued to sail through the water like nothing happened.
"Haaah!" Tetra swung her cutlass, but Weiss parried with her shield and then swung her blade to disarm Tetra, then fired an ice chunk from her glyph to get the gun out of her hand. Tetra raised her hands up shortly after as Myrtenaster was pressed against her chest.
End BGM
"Hah… hah…" Weiss panted before smiling. "Good fight…"
"Yeah, hell of a fight too!" Tetra nodded. "So, what's your story anyway?"
"Well…"
One story later…
"Oh duuuuude." Tetra grimaced. "That's a hell of a way to wake up and find out everything went to hell."
"Yeah… I'm slowly picking up the pieces too and I'm close to getting my princess out of there…"
"Well, if you ever have another fight with Calamity Ganon, give 'em a wallop for me! Though, between you and me, I recommend shoving the Master Sword into his skull and leave it there."
"Huh? Why would-"
"Because it's just what he deserves!" Tetra grinned. "Anyway, I'll see ya later!" She waved as Weiss ended up in a room after she was bathed in light once more.
"I guess I passed the Test of Courage…?"
"You did."
"Oh good." Weiss nodded as she walked over to the shrine, seeing portraits of Farore and the Triforce of Courage. She pulled out her scale and handed it over, where it started to glow brightly and was absorbed into her skin.
On her back, two dragon wing tattoos appeared, and once activated, they transformed into light blue dragon wings with a green aura around them.
"H-Holy… shi-... those are dragon wings…!" Weiss said in amazement.
"You now have the power of Farore by your side. By using the power of the Dragon, you can use Farore's Wind."
"Wow…" Weiss whispered as the dragon wings disappeared. Weiss conjured up an ice mirror and turned her back, taking off her top to see the dragon wing tattoos. "Cool…" She said as she put her shirt back on.
"You now have the power of Nayru, Din and Farore. You are one step closer to destroying the Calamity. Seek the Master Sword when you are ready. The Trial of the Sword will await you."
"I will." Weiss nodded as she was taken back outside.
"How was it?" Winter asked as Weiss approached.
"Well… I have Farore's Wind so I guess I'm set now." Weiss shrugged. "When I'm ready, I'll go find the Master Sword."
"Right."
Weiss pulled up her Sheikah Slate. "By the way, where's Kass?"
"He flew off after he got a good look at the land. He said that he'll more than likely see us again."
"Okay." Weiss nodded, deciding to look at the memories she had left.
"Hmm? What are those pictures?" Winter asked.
"Oh, Impa gave them to me. Said that they were key to unlocking the past for me."
"Ah… this might help." Winter said as she looked through them. "Hey, I know that place. It's actually near Lake Hylia."
"It is?"
"It's just past the bridge. Come on, we'll make a quick pit stop before we head to Gerudo Desert."
Unbeknownst to them, a certain Lynel overheard their conversation.
Weiss smiled. "Okay! Let's go there and then turn around for the desert."
"Right!"
The Lynel turned around and ran off, having a sinister smirk on his face. Meeting them on the Bridge of Hylia would be most excellent…
Weiss and Winter turned around as Revali accompanied them, taking off toward the lake.
"By the way, apparently I have dragon wings now."
"You do? Let me see."
Thanks Wyvern for giving me the idea to use Tetra! I didn't know which Zelda to use as I was stuck between Twilight, LttP/LBW and Hyrule Warriors... but when you suggested Tetra, I was like "Oooh, that's a good idea!"
