I whispered and tapped to get Shrek's attention, "Shrek look." He looked at me and I pointed to what I saw. I saw a princess of some kind. She looks like she is sleeping to me. Shrek and I got a bit closer and Shrek looked down at her.
Shrek then woke her up and asked, "Are you Princess Fiona?" I hope she'll answer him. The princess answered while smiling, "I am... awaiting a knight so bold as to rescue me." Shrek then said, "Ah, that's nice. Now let's go!" Just we were about to leave, the princess said, "But wait, Sir Knight! This be-ith our first meeting. Should it not be a wonderful, romantic moment?" I got confused by it. What does she mean by that? I'm not sure if we have enough time for it. I don't think there is.
Shrek agreed with me. He grabbed Fiona by the hand. Shrek said, "Yeah, sorry, lady. There's no time." Fiona got confused. Shrek tried to open the door, but it was like no use at all. Fiona then said, "Hey, hey what are you doing? You know, you should sweep me off my feet out yonder window and down a rope onto your valiant steed." Shrek looked at her and said, "You've had a lot of time to plan this, haven't you?"
The Princess nodded her head. Then Shrek bursted the door open and we started to run and while he still hold onto her hand, Fiona said, "But we have to savor this moment! You could recite an epic poem for me. A ballad? A sonnet! A limerick? Or something!" Shrek said, "I don't think so." I added, "I don't think he has any of those." Fiona then asked, "Well, can I at least know the name of my champion?"
Shrek told her his name. Fiona then said, "Sir Shrek, I pray that you take this favour as a token of my gratitude." She handed him a handkerchief. Shrek looked at it for a second, and he said, "Thanks." He wiped his face with it.
Then he handed it back to her. That is disgusting to me. Then we heard a loud roar. I jumped startled. Fiona then got surprised and asked, "You didn't slay the dragon?!" Shrek answered her annoyed before he grabbed her hand, "It's on my to-do list. Now come on." Fiona then said, "But this isn't right! You were meant to charge in, sword drawn, banner flying. That's what all the other knights did!"
Shrek then said while we passed a skeleton, "Yeah, right before they burst into flames!" Fiona then said, "That's not the point!" Then we stopped. Shrek continued on without me. Fiona said, "Wait, where are you going? The exit's over there."
Shrek looked at her and said that he has to save his donkey. Fiona got a bit disturbed and she asked him, "What kind of knight are you?!" Shrek answered, "One of a kind." He then turned to me and said, "You stay here with her, I'll be back." I nodded my head saying yes while Shrek did his work on saving Donkey.
I was quiet for a while and then I decided to ask the princess, "So um, how long have you been in that tower?" The princess answered me, "A long time as long as I can remember miss." I got my eyes wide in surprise. I asked, "How did you know that I'm a woman?" The Princess said to me, "When you and Sir Shrek crashed, I heard your voice which is female. So can I at least know the name of the companion who is with my champion?"
I didn't want to sound rude, so I answered, "Um, I'm Dora, your highness." I bowed my head as a way of respect to her. Fiona then said, "Well Lady Dora, you might be the first female to come across this treacherous journey as you are with my knight."
I blushed in embarrassment. That was a nice thing that any royalty can ever say to me. I then heard a roar and that made me concerned for Shrek. I turned to the right and saw Shrek with Donkey. I said, "Look, there he is!"
Shrek grabbed Fiona and we started to run. I think the dragon doesn't look too happy. Then we stopped when we reached a dead end. I saw a column and it is formed like a slide to me. I don't think it's safe due to the broken parts.
I turned around and got my eyes wide when I saw that the dragon is onto us. Shrek then said to me, "Dora, get on my back, hurry!" I had no time to argue, so I got onto his back and held on to him.
Shrek and I noticed a large crack in the stone and it hit Shrek right on the private part! That's gotta hurt. When we reached the bottom, I got off of Shrek's back and we started to run for our lives.
We kept on running and we got our eyes wide when the dragon was right in front of us! The dragon breathed fire and we dodged it. I kept on running and then I realized that I was not with Shrek and the others.
I must've gotten separated from them by accident. I felt like lost. Then I heard some sort of a snort and I gasped because I saw the dragon right in front of me! The dragon began to sniff me. I didn't make any sudden movements.
Then I felt being grabbed by the arm and looked, it was Shrek. He said to me, "Dora, head for the exit and wait with the others. I'll catch up." I ran as fast as I can. I then heard Shrek saying, "I'll take care of the dragon." Shrek then shouted while he ran with me, "RUN!" We all ran as fast as our legs can carry us.
Then I heard something that is like a snap and the bridge fell. Of course, the rope was burnt from the dragon's fire. I held onto the one of the floors of the bridge for dear life. I then got my eyes wide when the dragon was about to catch up to us.
Fiona yelped and the dragon was held back. Phew, that was a close one. My guess is that Shrek stabbed a sword onto the chains. We started to climb up. I looked at the dragon as it roared, it started to whimper. It's making me so sorry for that creature.
Maybe dragons do have feelings? I'll have to figure it out later.
