Battle droids on Naboo! As the Separatist rebellion rages through the galaxy, even peaceful planets are threatened. Following the discovery of Separatist droids wandering the grassy wasteland, Naboo is once again on high alert. Fearing their home is facing another invasion, Senator Amidala, Assistant Dawn and Representative Binks race to Naboo to assess the situation. Meanwhile, near the Gungan swamplands, an even graver threat is about to be discovered...
Piloting her H-type Nubian yacht, Padmé set her down in the Royal Hanger bay. As the hatch opened, Padmé led Jar Jar, 3P0, and Dawn out and they were greeted by the queen of Naboo and captain Typho. Padmé told the queen, "We came as soon as we could, my lady. Have you found any more Droids?" Queen Neeyutnee shook her head and said. "Only the three. But you can be sure they aren't tourists. I need you to convince the Senate or the Jedi Council or whoever is in charge of this terrible war that we are threatened." Padmé told her that they'd need more proof, saying a couple of battle droids wouldn't be enough. But that was when Dawn said, "Not all of them need convincing Padmé." That was when a gunship landed and when the doors opened, John, May, and Max all stepped out with Nitro, Grant, and Grounder. John walked to Dawn and hugged her closely as the others came out of the gunship too.
"Queen Neeyutnee, it is an honor to be here." John said as he knelt to the Queen. Padmé looked at Dawn and said, "You called them." Dawn nodded her head and said, "We're gonna need their help." John stood up and said, "Indeed. I feel a great disturbance here." That was when a man contacted Captain Typho and said that the battle droid was ready for analysis. They looked at each other and all nodded their heads. In the room where the battle droid was, Padmé asked if they were able to get data, but Queen Neeyutnee said the Naboo security forces that found them prefer to shoot first and retrieve data later.
"Hm… this mud, it's all over the droid. You said they were found in the grasslands?" John asked the queen, who nodded her head. Ash asked, "if they were in the grasslands, where did they pick up all this mud?" Captain Typho responded by saying, "Add that to our very long list of questions." Ash walked over to Typh and said, "I have to say, it's a great honor to be meeting the great captain Typho." John chuckled before Jar Jar saw an insect he wanted to eat. The Medical droid pulled out a saw and cut open the offline droid's head before 3P0 asked Padmé if he could shut down before he got a sensory overload, but Padmé told him, "Permission denied."
"Denied?" 3P0 asked in shock, before Padmé told him, "3P0, you may be able to get some information out of him." John agreed with Padmé and told 3P0, "You're both droids, it can work." That was when the T-series military strategic analysis and tactics droid sat up but its eyes were shut off. The droid said, "Cannot see. Where am I?" As Jar Jar tried to eat the bug, 3P0 told the tactical Droid, "You are in very good hands on board a Separatist ship. Count Dooku himself intends to reward you for your bravery."
"Bravery?" the Tactical Droid asked, making 3P0 say, "For your assignment on Naboo. Do try to activate what's left of your memory. We all want to hear your tale of Medical heroics." The Tactical Droid made warbling sounds before he said the word Virus. 3P0 kept up his act and said, "Yes, the virus. You do remember. Please continue." Jar jar again tried to get the bug when it was sitting on an upside down Astromech head as the Tactical droid said, "A small amount leaked out. Must contain. Naboo cannot know." John saw Jar Jar being Jar Jar and motioned to Max to help him. Max nodded and went over to Jar Jar as the Tactical Droid said, "Lab must remain secret." that made 3P0 say, "A secret lab on Naboo? Where? You must…" but Padmé stopped him, making the tactical Droid say, "It is a Secret. This is no Separatist ship."
"Unless you want to become a box of spare parts, you'll tell us where that lab is." Captain Typho said as he aimed his blaster at the tactical Droid. Max and Jar Jar were struggling when they bumped into the racks of spare parts before the racks landed on the Tactical droid after saying it was a secret and everyone got out of the way. John looked at Max and Jar Jar as he said, "Thanks you two, now we can't get any more info out of him." Jar Jar apologized and showed them what he was after, mentioning where the insect could be found and it was just one location, in the mud under the Perlote Tree. Like the mud on the droids.
"The eastern swamps. I think Jar Jar and Master Max just found out the location of that lab." Padmé said with a smile. Later, they were in contact with Master Windu and Yoda. Captain Typho told the two Jedi that the Separatists were planning an attack on Naboo, that was the only explanation. Master Yoda told them, "Delicate the situation is. Two Jedi we will send. Assist you and the three Jedi there, they will." that made John, May, and Max all step into view as John said, "My wife asked me here Master Yoda, I couldn't ignore her. As for the other jedi, what about Anakin and Obi-wan?" Padmé looked at him and said, "I was just about to recommend them too as Relations with the gungans are a little tense right now but they trust general Kenobi like one of their own." John smiled at Padmé as Yoda said to them, "Send them we will."
After the transmission ended, Padmé said, "I want as much information as possible before the other Jedi arrive. See if you and 3P0 can download any of the other Battle droid's memories. I'm going to find that lab." Dawn was going with her, but John said, "It might be dangerous, are you sure about this?" Dawn and Padmé both nodded their heads and they and Jar Jar walked out of the command room. Meanwhile, a female Gungan shaak herder named Peppi Bow had her shaak stop by the river to allow them to drink it. Right before she could drink from it, one of her shaak started to squeal before it collapsed dead, along with two others. She then realized the water was contaminated and got her herd back as she said, "Back! Back! That water gone poodoo."
"This is mooie bad." Peppie Bow said as she looked at the river that came from the eastern swamps. A little while later, Padmé, Dawn, and Jar Jar arrived in hazmat suits. Walking out, Dawn was saddened by the dead shaak and said, "This is bad. Whatever this Virus is, it killed these creatures fast. Which means we're getting close Padmé… LOOK OUT!" She then pushed Padmé away as Peppie swung at them while asking them who they were and what they were doing as she pulled Jar Jar's helmet off him. Dawn and Padmé aimed their blasters at her and Dawn said, "We don't wanna shoot. But we will. Jar Jar, get your helmet back on." Jar Jar then took his helmet back and put it on before Peppie told them, "Yousa Okeyday, is not in the air. It's in the water."
After taking their helmets off, Padmé asked her who she was and Peppie said, "Messa Peppie Bow." Padmé told her that they think the virus that made her animals sick came from the Perlote trees." Peppie Bow told her, "Yousa follow thisa river. Yousa find yousa perlote. Messa take you" but Dawn told her, "thank you Peppie, but you need to stay here. You'll be going home soon, right Padmé?" Padmé nodded her head and said, "right, I'll send soldiers to pick you up and take you back to theed." Peppie nodded her head.
In the swamp, Padmé told Jar Jar and Dawn to keep their eyes open and to look for anything out of the ordinary. Dawn nodded her head and readied her ELG-3A blaster pistol gifted to her by Padmé. As they walked forward more, a Small camera under a rock popped up and looked around before Jar Jar tripped on a branch and fell on the ground, revealing a hatch. Padmé contacted Captain Typho and told him, "Captain Typho, I think we're standing right on top of the lab. I need a Geo-Scan of coordinates SP127." Padmé then knelt to look at the hatch more as Dawn got an uneasy feeling about the situation before battle droids appeared and surrounded them.
In the lab, Jar Jar demanded to be let go as Padmé said, "Who are you? Why are you holding us?" Dawn then told her allies, "His name is Doctor Nuvo Vindi. A doctor working on making a Virus for the Separatists." That made Doctor Vindi smile and say, "How perceptive and a well made guess. She is correct. I am Doctor Nuvo Vindi, and my job, also my life dream, is to give life back to the infamous Blue Shadow Virus." Then Padmé said, "The Blue Shadow Virus? I thought that deadly disease was extinct." Then Dawn said, "It was, wiped from the Galaxy generations ago. Now he's here to give it life once again, am I right?" Doctor Vindi nodded his head again, making Jar Jar say, "Yousa not making life. Yousa taking it instead. Yousa poisoned the Gungan water."
Doctor Vindi laughed evilly as he mentioned how the Blue shadow virus in its natural form could only thrive in water, until he improved upon that weakness. Placing a vial on a stand and shocking it with electricity, shocking the three republic officials as he said, "Your eyes do not deceive you. I have perfected an airborne strain of the Blue Shadow Virus." That was when a LEP-series service droid walked in with a bomb and handed it to the doctor as he said it was the last of the bombs. He took the bomb and shouted at the droid, "I'm well aware this is the last. You think I'd lose count?" He then told his captives, "The virus in its gaseous forms, combined with these bombs will release the Blue Shadow Virus back into the galaxy, more potent than ever before."
"Are you insane?! It's a Deadly disease! No life-forms are immune to it. That's why it was eradicated" Padmé said in disbelief. But the doctor said, "You mean murdered." He then handed the virus infused bomb back to the LEP-series service droid and told him to take it away. He then looked at the senators and said, "Meanwhile, as we speak, thousands and thousands of so-called superior life-forms are spreading their disease of war throughout the galaxy. Perhaps they are the ones who should be eradicated."
"The Republic will stop you." Said Dawn as she, Padmé, and Jar Jar were being grabbed by super battle droids. Back in the castle, a LAAT Gunship carrying Ahsoka, Anakin, and Obi-wan landed in the hangar as John, Max, and May walked up to them with Captain Typho, 3P0, and Peppie. Captain Tyhpo said, "General Kenobi, Anakin, we're so glad -" but Anakin cut him off, asking where Senator Amidala was and Typho told him that she went to look for the lab, making Anakin accuse him of letting her go. John walked to him and said, "Dawn went too and she insisted we wait for you all to get here before we made a move on the lab." That was when 3P0 said, "And besides Master Anakin, Senator Padmé can be very hard to stop once she has made up her mind."
"Good Point, I know what you mean." Anakin said to the Protocol Droid. Captain Typho then introduced Peppie Bow to the new Jedi, mentioning that she was the last person to see them and that Padmé sent her to the castle for safety. Peppie told them, "Theysa looking for the sick maker." Obi-wan put his hands on his hips and asked, "They?" John then said to him, "My wife, and Jar Jar, went with her." Anakin then looked at Ahsoka and told her to go with the Gungan and to see what they could find. Ahsoka nodded her head and said, "You got it, Master." After Ahsoka and Peppie left, Anakin asked Typho, "Why didn't you send someone to look for them?"
"Considering the latest developments, we thought it was best to wait for you." Captain Typho told him. That was when Obi-wan asked, "What latest developments?" John and Captain Typho led Anakin and Obi-Wan to a Holotable with a B1 battle droid's head on it. As John spoke, Captain Typho plugged the holotable into the droid's head. John said, "We did a Robo-lobotomy on the battle droids and came up with this piece of memory." When Typho pushed a button, the Doctor appeared in a hologram, making Obi-Wan ask, "Who is that?" John replied, "That is Doctor Nuvo Vindi, the Senior Medic for the Perma families." Then Typho took over saying, "He disappeared ten years ago." That was when the Hologram of the Doctor said, "Good news, my soulless automaton friends. We now have enough of the Blue Shadow Virus to start filling the bombs." that was when C3-P0 said, "He said "Bomb."" before R2 made blips. The hologram continued byt saying, "We will only need to send one bomb to each key star system. Work quickly, I want them ready to deliver-" and the hologram ended.
"If those bombs get delivered, we'll be facing a Galaxy-wide plague. The war will be the least of our worries" Obi-Wan said to the others. John looked and said, "But if the Blue Shadow Virus was delivered I wouldn't be here. Meaning we succeed in stopping it here." Then Typho said, "that's good news, and so is this." He then showed the Jedi a map of the complex as he said, "Senator Amidala found the lab. She sent us the coordinates before she disappeared. We've managed to get a Geo-scan of the area." Then Obi-Wan said, "It's enormous." John nodded his head and said, "That's what we said too. We managed to find three hatches." He then pointed to the three entry points as three different sections near each other appeared red.
Then another area turned Red as Typho said, "This appears to be the main lab." When Obi-wan asked about the bombs, another section turned Red as May said, "there's an above-average amount of radiation from this section, we think that's where the bombs are being assembled." Obi-wan then said, "If Padmé or dawn has alerted them to our presence in any way…" That was when Anakin said, "If Padmé's in there and then we go in guns a-blazin', she may get killed." That was when John said, "I agree with you Anakin. But we can't let the virus escape Naboo, let alone the lab and Doctor Vindi."
"And if they, or we detonate one during the attack?" Anakin asked, to which John said, "Better to have one planet infected than the entire galaxy." Anakin asked John, "But what about your wife?!" John looked at him and said, "Anakin, if she was here now, she would say the exact same thing." Meanwhile, Ahsoka and Peppie, accompanied by May, rode a Shaak past the ship Padmé and Dawn flew in. Peppie said, "Dis da ship belonging to them." And Ahsoka asked, "So where are they?" When the three got off, Ahsoka found tracks in the mud but they seemed to disappear.
"Their tracks end here." Ahsoka said before Peppie rose up on the same scope that found Padmé and the others. Ahsoka and May saw the scope and hid with Peppie as the scope saw Peppie's Shaak. It then went back down. May sighed and said, "this confirms it, they're inside the lab." Ahsoka nodded her head. Back at the castle, Anakin was pacing as Obi-wan and John watched. John looked at Obi-wan as Anakin asked "where are they?" John then told Anakin, "Patience Anakin. They'll be here any moment. You seem a bit on edge."
"There's a good chance we're about to destroy all life on this planet, including ours and the Senator's So, yes, I'm a bit on edge! Why aren't the two of you?" John smirked as Obi-wan said, "We're better at hiding it." John agreed as Ahsoka contacted Anakin saying, "Master, are you there?" Anakin asked if they found her, but Ahsoka said, "Negative. We're pretty sure she's in the lab. The whole area is wired with pressure sensors. There's no way to get in without being detected." Ahsoka then said she was more than happy to activate them, but John told her, "Do not attempt to get inside." He then sent May a schematic of the lab as he said, "We need you to detonate a bunker bomb at the south end of the facility. Doing so will cause a distraction and seal off the bomb area while we come in through the hatches."
"You can count on us masters." May said with a smile. ANakin then told them, "Rex, Grounder, and their men will be right behind you, Snips." They'll have your back." After the transmission ended, Anakin said, "Come on. We'd better hurry." as three gunships landed in the Hangar. Obi-Wan told Anakin that Padmé may be lost and to not risk the mission trying to rescue her. That was when John told Obi-Wan, "Let him focus on getting Padmé, I can handle getting the doctor." Obi-wan shook his head and told Anakin, "I'll focus on the bombs while you and John focus on the doctor." Anakin looked at him and said that he knew what was at stake before getting on the gunship with John. Max joined Rex on his gunship and Obi-wan got on the last gunship before the three gunships took off. Back with Ahsoka and May, they had a Bunker bomb ready and used the force to move it along the path, making sure to hide it from the scopes until it was in the right location.
"Now." Ahsoka said as he ducked to take cover from the Explosion, as did May and Peppie. In the lab, an alarm started blaring as Padmé, Dawn, and Jar Jar were tied to the podium Doctor Vindi used to make the Blue Shadow Virus airborne. Doctor Vindi then said, "we have a breach! All droids to hatch number 1!" before he took the mask that could fit him and he said to his prisoners as he put the mask on, "Friends of yours, I assume. They arrived quicker than I would've thought." Back on the surface, the gunships arrived and Peppie asked if she could come too. But Ahsoka said, "No. Stay here and make sure no one escapes." She and May then ran to battle as Peppie huffed and said, "Okeyday."
Soon the Clones repelled into the hole that was made by Ahsoka and May with the two Jedi following suit into the hole and blocked the returning fire from the Droids back at them and Max soon joined them. Rex and Grounder moved up with them to push into the lab more. Meanwhile, the other two LAATs dropped two Bunker Bombs each, making holes in the hatches to allow the clones to repel down into. John and Anakin down one hole, and General Kenobi down the other.
Seeing no droids, a clone got off the repel line and said, "it's quiet in here." Making Anakin say, "Looks like Ahsoka's distraction is working." Then John said, "My guess is that if we find the doctor, we'll find Padmé and the others." Anakin nodded his head and they ran down a corridor. Meanwhile, May, Max, and Ahsoka were cutting down droids fast as they and the clones pushed up more until two droidekas rolled up and deployed with their shields. They opened fire and Ahsoka shouted, "Fall back!" before a clone took one round to the chest.
Meanwhile, the LEP-series service droid who was taking the bomb back to the others saw two B1 battle droids backing up and clones running forward. John and Anakin lead nitro and the clones with them to the main lab and they cut the door open as Doctor Vindi walked to the switch he used before right before the republic forces got in. Anakin saw his wife and shouted, "Padmé!" then Doctor Vindi said, "Take another step and your friends die." before he flipped the switch and activated the switch and shocked all three with electricity. He then said, "Drop your weapons." a clone aimed at Doctor Vindi, but Anakin said, "Wait." not wanting to see Padmé in any more pain, Anakin said, "Do as he says." before he dropped his lightsaber. John followed suit, as did the clones. The droids then captured them as Doctor Vindi turned off the electricity.
Back with Ashoka's group, they were being pushed back more as another clone was killed and they were unable to hold back for much longer. Just then, the ceiling fell and with it was Master Kenobi and the bomb squad troopers with him he asked Ahsoka, "Need some help you three?" Ahsoka replied, "Oh, so good to see you, Master Kenobi." Back in the main lab, Doctor Vindi held a vial of the Blue Shadow Virus in his hand as he said, "I know I won't be able to hold you for long, Jedi." He then put the vial in a special case before continuing, "That is why I'm going to give you a choice."
"Fine with me, as long as one of the options is killing you." Anakin said in Anger. John was also Angry but he kept his anger under control. The droids cocked their blasters before Doctor Vindi said, "How about… capture me, or save your friends?" He then turned on the electricity again, shocking Padmé, Dawn, and Jar Jar before he ran out of the lab. Anakin ran forward and used the force to pull his lightsaber. John pulled his lightsaber to him and cut the droids down with Anakin before using the force to turn off the electricity. Running to their wives, the two Jedi asked if they were okay and Padmé said, "Ani, how about the next time you rescue me before you kill all the battle droids."
"A little "thank you" would go a long way." Anakin said to Padmé. Then Dawn said, "Well this has turned into quite the shocking experience." Jar Jar said he didn't get it, but John said, "I'm not shocked to say the least." Then Anakin said, "Enough with the jokes you two. We gotta go get the doctor." John nodded his head and they all left the lab. Back with Kenobi, he was telling the other Jedi, "Things are going well. The Lab is secure, and hopefully Anakin has reached Padmé by now." they got to an intersection with more droids. He then said, "I'll get the bombs." Ahsoka said, "I'll keep the droids occupied!" Max then decided to go with Kenobi to help with the bombs. Running down the corridor a bit more, they reached the bomb room where one trooper said, "Well, this looks like the bomb room." Kenobi replied, "Yes, and luckily, they appear inactive."
Just then all the bombs became active and that made Kenobi say, "I spoke too soon. Get these deactivated now!" The Bomb Squad Troopers got to work as Obi-wan contacted Anakin and said to him, "Anakin, I'm guessing you didn't capture the doctor." Anakin told him they were working on it and asked if Obi-Wan had the bombs, and he replied with what Anakin said but added, "Dr. Vindi has remotely activated the bombs. They're counting down. And on top of that, one of them seems to be missing." John then contacted Max and told him to help deactivate the bombs as Anakin said that the missing bomb was down in the lab somewhere.
"We saw Dr. Vindi give a little droid a bomb." Dawn said as they met up with Ahsoka. John then said, "Split up, search from top to bottom, find that droid. Anakin and I will go after Dr. Vindi." The clones and the other Jedi nodded their heads and split up. That was when Dawn, Padmé, and Jar Jar ran off to help search for the droid. They then passed a room with a ton of plants. Dawn looked and heard a timer before kneeling down and she saw the droid with the counting down Bomb. She tried to reach for it, but the Droid screamed at her. They all fought for the bomb until Jar Jar got the bomb out of the droid's hands and Padmé caught it. She contacted Ahsoka and said, "Ahsoka, we got the last bomb."
"Stay there, I'll get the bomb squad." Ahsoka said as she ran down a hallway. Meanwhile, Anakin and John got to Dr. Vindi and his droid escort. They cut down the droids and held their lightsabers to Dr. Vindi as Anakin said, "Leaving so soon, Doctor?" Dr. Vindi showed him the timer on his wrist as he said, "You are running out of time." He then threw a vial of the Virus and said, "Catch." Anakin ran and caught the vial before it broke before the doors closed. John looked at Dr. Vindi as he held up more vials and threw them as well. But John used the force to catch them and hold them, then he used the force to pull the case to him as the platform began to rise.
"Give those back!" Shouted Dr. Vindi. That was when John heard Anakin's lightsaber enter the door, meaning he didn't have a lot of time. John told Dr. Vindi, "Look, I'm gonna keep this brief, the Republic and Separatists are being played against each other. I'm trying my best to make sure the Republic wins but unfortunately I can't do it without risking all that I fought for. So I'm going to propose a deal to you." Dr. Vindi raised an eyebrow and asked, "Why would the Jedi Order make a deal with me?" John shook his head and told him, "Not the Republic, just me. I want you to surrender, then Battle Droids that I reprogrammed will bust you out and bring you to me."
"Why are you using battle droids? Are you a Separatist?" Dr. Vindi asked him, but again John shook his head and said, "No, the battle droids under my command are fighting for the Republic. But I got my own agenda. I will pay you well." John then heard the door fall and say, "Hurry up and make your choice." Dr. Vindi thought about it and said, "Sorry, but I won't fall for the Jedi Trick." HE then aimed for the briefcase, making John shout, "OBI-WAN! CATCH!" He tossed the Briefcase to Obi-wan who caught it, before John blocked a Blaster bolt back into the Doctor's helmet. He kept blocking the shots until one struck him in the chest, Dr. Vindi stumbled backwards and fell to the floor.
"Well that is a problem." John said as he ran to the doctor. Seeing the shot wasn't a fatal one though, he sighed in relief before he began patching Dr. Vindi up as Anakin got on the platform and the ceiling opened up. Anakin asked John what he was doing and John told him, "He may have been trying to make a deadly virus come back, but I don't let wounded people die. And I wouldn't trust a word this guy says." Anakin crossed his arms and said, "I wouldn't either way." Soon the timer on the Dr.'s wrist went to zero but there was no explosion, meaning the Bomb squad got all the bombs.
As Obi wan and the clones got onto the platform, Anakin contacted Ahsoka and she told him that the bomb was deactivated before asking if he found Dr. Vindi. Anakin told her, "Deactivated as well, wounded but deactivated. Have you seen Padmé?" Ahsoka told her master that Padmé was right next to her, before she said, "I'm okay, too. Thanks for asking." The Jedi and Clones then looked at a now awake Vindi as the gunships floated in place around them.
