Pokémon: Sinnoh no Isekai
Chapter Three-hundred and twenty-three: Postgame, part three
The Jelly-Filled Donut flew overhead above the Kanto region as it made its way. Upon landing in an open field in Pallet Town near Professor Oak's lab, the flying ship drew a crowd of onlookers who were excited to see the flying ship. Even moreso when the drawbridge came out and touched down, a sign that the crew and passengers were going to disembark. Sure enough, when Ash Ketchum was the first to come down the drawbridge, he barely touched a foot to the ground when he was quickly grabbed into a loving hug by his mom Delia.
"Ash! I've missed you so much!" Delia cried as she hugged her son, having also caught Ash's Pikachu in the hug as well although without meaning to.
As Oak and Brock tried to free Ash as they saw signs that Delia was unintentionally suffocating Ash, the reborn trainers came down the drawbridge after Ash. First was Dawn, then in order came Trip, Mina, and Kenny. "Mrs. Ketchum, you need to let Ash breathe," Dawn called out.
Delia heard Dawn and looked down to Ash, saw that she was indeed unintentionally suffocating him. "Oops, sorry sweetie!" Delia said as she quickly let go of Ash, letting him gulp down greedy gasps of breath and rendering the efforts of Oak and Brock redundant.
...
A mini party of sorts was thrown on the open air deck of The Jelly-Filled Donut, and Brock when Kenny told him the flying ship's name was amused by Kenny's reasoning for coming up with such a name for what it actually Dawn's flying ship. The party consisted mainly of the crew, plus their passengers Ash, Serena, and Sophocles, plus Oak, Delia, and Brock. The others not part of the crew of The Jelly-Filled Donut got to mingle with the crew.
"Den tells Mitch that he is most flattered by Ash mom lady's calling him cute," Mitch said as he conversed with Delia, Den the shiny Dedenne perched on Mitch's shoulder as always.
"You can understand what Pokémon say?" Delia asked, looking surprised.
"Mitch can understand what Den says," Mitch clarified, "The chattering of other Pokémon comes off as unintelligible nonsense to Mitch. Mitch often relies on Den to translate for him."
Over another ways, Rhyanna was talking with Dawn, Ash, Brock, and Kenny. There was a look of troubled resignation on her face. "Given... given some of what happened during the final push that saw to Team Scorn being taken down once and for all," Rhyanna said, "When business is done for us here in Kanto, when is the soonest we can return to Sinnoh?"
"Well first Dawn is going to have to bring me, Serena, and Sophocles back to Alola," Ash said, "It's where Serena and Sophocles live, and I'm Alola's Champion so I'll have to be there to help with all of the rebuilding and cleaning up as we're now in a post-Team Scorn world. But after that, I think it's really up to Dawn."
"Seeing the way Ash's mom had lovingly greeted him," Dawn began, "Though she wasn't exactly careful, made me and Trip miss our mom. And most of our crew are Sinnoh natives anyway. So I was planning on having Heath fly us to Sinnoh as soon as we're able to leave Alola following the dropping off of Ash, Serena, and Sophocles." Looking to Rhyanna, Dawn asked, "Why do you ask?"
Looking troubled, Rhyanna said, "I... I wanna see Mitchell again. I just want to see him and hug him and let him know that I love him." Dawn and Kenny understood where Rhyanna was coming from; she had seen the dark mirror of her sibling relationship with Mitchell end tragically during the final battle against Team Scorn in Johto, where Mitchell's dark mirror committed suicide to avoid dealing with Rhyanna's dark mirror ever again.
Rhyanna, thanks to Dawn and Kenny butting in, was able to save her sibling relationship with Mitchell, and now things between them are perfectly healthy. Rhyanna got lucky. Her dark mirror, not so much. It was serving as a grim, bitter reminder to Rhyanna that she came rather close to burning things past the point of no return with Mitchell. Had it not been for Dawn and Kenny, then for all that Rhyanna knows, she and Mitchell could have ended up the same as their dark mirrors.
"Anyway," Brock said, "I got it that all Pokémon stolen by Team Scorn from others have been tracked down, recovered, and returned to their trainers. That includes the Pokémon stolen from Misty and her sisters in Cerulean City. Speaking of, tomorrow we're going to be going to Cerulean City to see how Misty is doing."
Ash nodded in confirmation. "We got it from her sisters that Misty is showing signs that some of her old personality may be coming back in bits and pieces, at least in the form of slowly getting more comfortable around water type Pokémon again. Brock and I want to see how Misty is doing, maybe help the old Misty come back around."
"And no doubt that Sophocles plans to pull out all the stops in helping Misty recover," Kenny said, "He's proven to be surprisingly gentlemanly for a short chubby geek. Also surprisingly lucky for a short chubby geek, given that Sophocles has got a taller, more slender and conventionally cute girl as a girlfriend."
"I don't think that calling Sophocles a short chubby geek is all that nice, Kenny," Brock admonished lightly.
"Hey, it was Mina who first coined that label for Sophocles," Kenny defended, "Besides, he's come to own it in his own way. Also, would phoning on ahead to let Misty's sisters know that Sophocles and Ash wanna do a double date where Sophocles brings Misty and Ash brings his girlfriend be nice?"
"You told Misty's sisters what?!" Ash exclaimed, looking freaked.
Shrugging, Kenny said, "Misty is a sweet girl who deserves to have a nice day, so I thought she and her boyfriend can do a double date where they bring along the boyfriend's friend and the girlfriend of said friend."
"But I don't even have a girlfriend, Kenny!" Ash cried out, looking more and more alarmed.
"You do now," Kenny replied, "I told Serena that you wanted to be boyfriend and girlfriend with her. You're welcome, by the way."
"Why did you tell her that?!" Ash exclaimed.
"Well where else was I going to find a couple to do the double date with Misty and Sophocles?" Kenny asked.
Gesturing to Kenny, Brock asked, "Aren't you and Mina dating, Kenny? Why couldn't you guys do it instead of telling Serena that Ash wants to date her?"
"Yeah, okay," Kenny began, "You see Brock, the reason that I didn't go with that... is because it's an excellent idea that I wish I had thought of before I came up with and committed to the Ash and Serena go with Sophocles and Misty idea."
Ash let out a troubled sigh and was about to argue with Kenny, but a happy crying Serena came running up to Ash and kissed him directly on the lips while Delia who saw it cheered as her son got a girl to like him. Seeing that he was stuck, Ash looked at Kenny and said, "Can we at least clear a few misconceptions before we go through with your idea, Kenny?"
"Yes Kenny," Dawn said firmly, "I do believe that Ash is owed that much at least." The look on Kenny's face made it clear that he knew that he was in big trouble.
The following morning, The Jelly-Filled Donut flew over to Cerulean City and landed in an open field near the Cerulean City gym which had recently finished reconstruction. It filled the hearts of the heroes to see that some of the damage caused by Team Scorn's evil had been mended. When the drawbridge came out and made contact with the ground, the heroes came out and were greeted by Misty's sister Daisy, who was among the crowd that came to see the flying ship.
"The others are back at the gym," Daisy said, "Mostly it's Violet and Lily keeping an eye on Misty."
Dawn nodded in understanding; the away team getting off the ship consisted of Dawn, Kenny, Trip, Mina, Ash, Brock, Serena, and Sophocles. This would be the group that would head to the newly restored Cerulean City gym. "It had been mentioned that Misty is now easing up around water type Pokémon," Dawn said.
Nodding once, Daisy said, "Yes. It's a slow and gradual happening, and the girls and I don't wanna rush things there, but a bit of the old Misty is coming back through. Additionally, her old fear of bug type Pokémon hasn't shown back up at all. Long story short, Misty isn't gonna be biased against a Pokémon based solely on its typing."
That was something Dawn was hoping for in Misty for a while, if Dawn were to be honest. Granted, by no means did Dawn want something like what happened to Misty to have made it happen, but it still got the job done Dawn supposed. "Anyway," Daisy went on, "Misty is really excited that she and Sophocles will get to do a double date with Ash and some girl named Serena. She was practically bouncing up and down in her seat when Kenny told her the news."
"Yeah, Kenny forgot a few details though," Dawn said dryly, "Mostly in letting Ash and Serena know about it. They're not technically dating." Leaning forward, Dawn whispered to Daisy so only Daisy would hear it, "It didn't stop Serena from being overjoyed, however."
Daisy gave Dawn a knowing and amused look and a nod before she gestured for the away team to follow her to the Cerulean City gym.
...
Inside of the gym, everyone was in a large reception area, so there was enough space for everyone to fit. Misty was still outfitted in the same manner that she was in when the reborn trainers and Ash last saw her. "Anyway, thanks again everyone for coming to see how Misty is doing," Lily said, "We can now focus more on helping her recover, especially since the gym is now back up and running and that horrid Team Scorn group is no more."
"We were going to just have a party here to celebrate," Daisy said, "But the party isn't quite yet ready. It's just as well, Misty and her boyfriend can do that double date with Ash and the Serena girl, and the party will be ready when they get back."
"I still kind of wish that Kenny had at least told me first," Ash said wryly, "Ultimately I don't mind, but a little heads up would have been nice."
Clapping her hands together, Violet said, "Now, why don't the two couples go to the park were a more public party to celebrate the restoration of the gym is being held, mingle there for an hour, and then come back to the gym?"
"Violet, why would you tell us to do a naughty in-bed act like mingle?!" Misty exclaimed.
"Umm, Misty," Sophocles began, "Mingling isn't an act like that. Mingle is another word for chatting with people. It's simple, non-naughty socializing."
Looking mildly confused and embarrassed, Misty said, "...Oh."
"Yeah, Misty has done some recovery," Lily whispered to the others, "But not enough to be as close to her old self as possible."
"Oh, before we go," Sophocles began, "I went and did something before being told about how Misty is getting more comfortable around water type Pokémon again. I thought that what I did would help to ease her back into things, but right now I'm not so sure."
The sensational sisters all looked at Sophocles with curious looks. "What did you do?" Daisy asked.
Rather than say anything, Sophocles took out a Pokéball, expanded it, and tossed it up to call out a Dewpider. "I went out and caught a Dewpider to give to Misty," Sophocles explained, "It's a dual water bug type, so it ought to help ease her back into being okay with water type Pokémon while coming in a package that's part bug type which Misty now favors."
Sure enough, Misty was at first mildly unsure of Dewpider because she saw it was part water type. But being part bug type as well made it easy for Dewpider to win Misty over. As Misty scooped up her new Dewpider in a gentle hug, Ash remarked to Sophocles that he once had a similar idea to help Misty get over her old phobia of bug type Pokémon, but now the idea was being used to help easy Misty back into being okay with water type Pokémon.
After Sophocles gave Dewpider's Pokéball to Misty so she could recall it, Serena gently clapped her hands together. "Now then," Serena said, "Why don't we do that double date idea while everyone else gets the party ready?" Dawn could tell from Serena's tone that the Kalosian girl who now lived over in Alola was rather wanting to do the double date, given she was going to be pared up with Ash and be dating him. It was clear that Serena didn't mind Kenny's surprise all that much.
"Ooh, yeah we ought to do that!" Misty said, "Oh, you're in those cute movies, right? I wanna hear about how things were for you while you were in them!" At least Serena, Ash, and Sophocles would have no shortage of things to discuss with Misty while they're doing the double date as the party at the gym was finished being set up. With a game plan in mind, the two couples took off for the park where a more public party was being held while the more private party was being set up.
About an hour after Ash, Serena, Sophocles, and Misty left, they came back to find that the party at the Cerulean City gym was finished being set up. There, everyone had a great time partying, as well as Misty's sisters celebrating the return of some of the old Misty as she was showing some degree of being comfortable around water type Pokémon. It also didn't come with a return of Misty's old fear of bug type Pokémon, so Misty was going to be well rounded as a trainer.
The reborn trainers learned that Brock was getting a lot of credit to help him get officially certified as a Pokémon Doctor, due to working with a lot of Pokémon that were recovered from having been sold on the black market by the now defunct Team Scorn. The credit that Brock got from all of that made it so that he's at least a year closer to getting that certification than what otherwise should be within the realm of possibility, especially given all the different medical cases Brock helped with.
As for Ash, he talked about how he, being the Champion of Alola, had to return there to help with cleaning things up in the region, as well as help make Alola's people feel safe, now that there was no more Team Scorn. As much as he loves and misses Kanto, Ash has a duty to the region that he became the Champion of. Luckily for Ash, he has a lot of friends in Alola who will help him with cleaning up what all mess that had been left behind by the evil of Team Scorn.
Ash's declaration of intending to do his duty as Champion of Alola reminded Dawn that she ought to do the same but in Sinnoh, given that she's the Champion of Sinnoh. Dawn did get it that all of the ranking members of Team Scorn's Straw Hat Sector were captured alive, making them one of the very few sectors of Team Scorn to have had all of its ranking members captured alive. And that had actually made Dawn curious about something which she asked about.
"How many of the Pocketwatch Sector's ranking members were captured alive?" Dawn asked.
"Oh, I heard about that," Violet said, "Yeah, only one Captain and his Assistant had to be actually captured, the others including the Admin and his Assistant actually surrendered peacefully. I got it that they may get a deal based on the help they provided in getting that messy business involving Project Mew dealt with."
"Speaking of Project Mew," Kenny began, "Hey Ash, do you know how Goh is doing?"
"All I know is that he's alive and well," Ash replied, "We haven't had much of a chance to speak to one another due to how everyone had to deal with taking down Team Scorn in the final fight that we all had against them." Ash wore a contemplative look on his face as he held a hand to his chin. "But I think that I ought to at least call him to check up on him," Ash went on, "Now that the subject's been brought up. Hopefully he's doing well enough at least."
Dawn nodded in understanding. In her previous life, she never saw how the Project Mew stuff in the anime concluded, so her guess was as good as anyone else's who also didn't see how it ended. She couldn't help but wonder if things would have ended up differently here had she seen how all of that business concluded in the anime in her previous life, but there was no use in crying over spilt milk. But that business can be discussed later.
For now, there was a party to be had, and the heroes intended to make the most of it.
After the party at the Cerulean City gym, the crew of The Jelly-Filled Donut took Ash, Sophocles, and Serena back to Alola before heading off to Unova, where they went to Accumula Town to visit Helen. By this point, she had gotten the last of what Pokémon that Kieran had owned before things finished. Helen now had a selection of fairly strong and well trained Pokémon, enough to let her contemplate going on her own trainer journey in Unova to earn herself eight Unovan gym badges and enter the Vetress Conference.
...But she was still sad to learn why she had gotten all of Kieran's Pokémon. She had even cried over it at one point. But still, life had to go on. At least all of Kieran's Pokémon were obedient towards Helen, that made things easier for her. The reborn trainers, while in Unova, looked into the story of Nate, the Black 2 and White 2 male protagonist, and the guy who had defeated Iris in an official title match and took her place as the Champion of Unova.
They didn't learn much about what sort of party he had, aside from having an Excadrill that swept half of Iris's team including her own Excadrill, a Simisear that appeared to be Nate's closest Pokémon partner, and they learned his actual starter Pokémon was an Oshawott that is now a Samurott. They had no idea about the rest of the team Nate had brought with him to the battle that saw him defeat Iris and take her place as Unova's Champion.
The reborn trainers were also able to touch base with Bianca, who returned to Unova following the total defeat of Team Scorn. Bianca was clearly upset she was never going to be able to get revenge on Admin Swordsman for killing her father, but there was nothing she could do about it. Bianca had decided to take Dawn's advice and live as well as she can, following the old saying that 'the best revenge is living well'. Bianca was fully intending on taking those words to heart.
After touching base with the Blueberry Academy Elite Four who now all lived in Unova (they were all shocked to hear about Kieran and Carmine), the reborn trainers and the rest of the crew of The Jelly-Filled Donut took off for Sinnoh. There were a few things there that they wanted to handle, the most notable thing being Rhyanna wanting to see Mitchell again to see how he's doing. After what all had happened, Rhyanna just wants to see her younger brother again.
...
"Oh, I'm doing well as a gym leader," Mitchell began as he was visited at the Veilstone City gym by Rhyanna and the reborn trainers, "I've actually gotten a rather impressive record, apparently not one trainer who had earned a badge from me did so on their first try. Every trainer who challenged me for the badge that I award to victorious trainers needed a minimum of two tries to win. Not even the Sunyshore City gym leader can boast that. It's enough so that he wants to challenge me to 'try me out' as he puts it."
"Well that shows that you certainly know what you're doing as a gym leader, Mitchell," Dawn remarked.
Mitchell nodded once in agreement before turning to look at Rhyanna. "So you encountered a dark mirror of the sibling relationship we had prior to me beating you in a Pokémon battle," Mitchell said, "And because things there weren't fixed unlike with how things were fixed between us, things with the dark mirror ended up ending badly."
Rhyanna nodded once in confirmation. "It... was not a pleasant thing to learn about at all," Rhyanna replied, "It was rather sobering, it made me realize that you and I had dodged a major bullet. We owe a lot to Dawn and Kenny for helping the two of us get through the rough patch between us."
"You also owe them for helping you to realize that rough patch was even there in the first place," Mitchell pointed out dryly.
Once again, Rhyanna nodded, but this time in agreement. "Yeah, I probably would have gone on without realizing things had they not been pointed out to me."
"So what are you planning on doing now?" Mitchell asked his older sister.
Shrugging, Rhyanna replied, "Continue traveling as part of the crew of Dawn's flying ship. Although we're going to be in Sinnoh for a while to help with cleaning things up now that Team Scorn has been defeated for good and all rounded up. All of the regions in the world are doing so to help clear away the last of Team Scorn's influence, the last of what they had left behind."
"I also heard that there was a recently discovered warehouse in Snowpoint City that was used by the now long defunct Team Galactic as a storehouse for storing various supplies," Mitchell said, "Mostly extra uniforms although some machines were also reported."
"Oh yeah, I forgot that Team Galactic was a thing," Kenny said causally.
Arching a wry eyebrow, Dawn said, "Kenny, Team Galactic had attempted to carry out a plan that, had it been successful, the universe as we know it would have been torn asunder and rewritten by a madman with the power of Dialga and Palkia at his beck and call. It's actually rather surprising that you had forgotten about Team Galactic."
"There was also Team Rocket who we ran into a good number of times," Trip added, "And we also saw Team Skull." Gesturing to Kenny, Trip said, "You didn't forget about them too, did you?"
"...I didn't forget about Team Rocket," Kenny said, "I remember their shenanigans from when we were traveling through Unova."
The reborn trainers, as well as the rest of the crew of The Jelly-Filled Donut, spent a lot of time in the Sinnoh region. Enough for a second Lily of the Valley Conference to be held, where the winner was Lucas, the male protagonist from the Sinnoh region games from Dawn's previous life. Lucas had actually been able to defeat all of the Sinnoh Elite Four and make his way to the title match with Dawn, forcing her to fight to defend her title as Champion of Sinnoh for the first time.
Despite what all effort that had been given, Lucas ended up losing to Dawn without taking out a single one of her Pokémon. But then again, Dawn had acquired quite a selection of Pokémon over the course of her journeys in the other regions she and the others had been to. Dawn didn't even use any legendary or mythical Pokémon in her battle against Lucas, although she did use both Diablo the named Iron Valiant and Wyrmscale the named Naganadel.
With her title defended for another year, Dawn after rotating her party around again went on to continue helping to clean up what all messes that Team Scorn had left behind in Sinnoh. The Champion of Sinnoh also went to Snowpoint City to look into that recently found warehouse of Team Galactic goods with her crew. They met Looker there who was glad for the help, also Looker took the time to congratulate Dawn on defending her title as Champion of Sinnoh before everyone looked into the warehouse.
They found a number of machines that were basically back-up units for machines taken from the Team Galactic base in Veilstone City. The heroes also recovered a number of Team Galactic grunt uniforms, all stored in individual uniform boxes. Dawn was rather surprised by the size variants of the female Team Galactic grunt uniforms; they ranged in sizes for women proportionally thinner than Dawn to women proportionally as fat as Dawn when she wears a fat suit for Kenny's movies.
Once all of that business was cleared away, Dawn was called in to help with the testing of a new gym leader for the Canalave City gym, given that Byron had died a while ago. The gym leader that was looking to apply there was Ryuuki, the dragon Pokémon user from the 'Kantonian Gym' over in the Alola region. He had to do some practical testing after finishing and passing all of the written stuff, and as Dawn was in Sinnoh at the time, she could help with the practical stuff.
Dawn ended up having Rhyanna battle against Ryuuki in a mock gym challenge battle, with Ryuuki the gym leader and Rhyanna the gym challenger. It was a three on three battle where Dawn took careful notes on everything to see where Ryuuki can improve if need be. Ryuuki used a team of Vibrava, Altaria, and Gabite against Rhyanna's team of Mismagius, Mow Rotom, and Drifblim. The battle ended up being won by Ryuuki after a very close match.
When Ryuuki's team for gym challengers had sufficient rest time, Dawn had Ryuuki battle against Sho; whereas Rhyanna and her ghost Pokémon were even with Ryuuki and his dragon Pokémon, Sho and his electric types were at a disadvantage. Thusly, Ryuuki won and had an easier time, but this was part of what Dawn wanted to test. After Ryuuki's gym challenger team was rested, he had a third battle, this time against Leona.
Leona, who ran her trio of Mamoswine, had an easy time besting Ryuuki's gym challenger team as all three of the Pokémon Ryuuki sported had a quad weakness to ice. Dawn wanted to see how Ryuuki did in battles where he won easily, lost easily, and were so close they could have gone either way. From what Dawn figured, Ryuuki had done well enough to pass the practical stuff. All that was left was for a few forms to be signed, and Ryuuki would officially be an official gym leader, which was a dream of his for the longest time.
After that business in Canalave City, the crew of The Jelly-Filled Donut flew to Oreburgh City to visit Roark and Maylene, to see how Roark is doing because they recently touched on business that had involved the gym his late dad had run. Roark was business like about it, saying it was natural as the Sinnoh League Commission had to have all of the official gyms in Sinnoh run by gym leaders. Dawn could tell Roark was still a bit sad to think about his dad, though.
Maylene, still as geeky looking and obese as she was the last time the reborn trainers saw her, had actually risen to a managerial position at the gaming store she worked at. Maylene was also a bit surprised to hear about the reborn trainers' trip to Jubilife City when the old Galaxy Expedition building was discovered, mostly because the one lady part of the team researching it was named Maylene same as her. Dawn and the others left out the time travel shenanigans, however.
The flying ship then made one more trip back to Veilstone City, where they met up with Reggie, the older brother of Paul who was killed saving Maylene during a Team Scorn attack in Oreburgh City. Reggie had recovered enough from losing his younger brother to move on, and was now even in a romantic relationship with a fellow Pokémon Breeder the same age as him, a lovely enough looking lady who Dawn couldn't remember the name of for some odd reason.
The crew of The Jelly-Filled Donut touched base in a number of other places in Sinnoh before heading on back to Twinleaf Town, where the reborn trainers themselves wanted to do a little bit of personal touching base.
...
"You all had done more than enough," Johanna said as she spoke to the reborn trainers during a party held to celebrate the success of Dawn and the others. Johanna, who is Dawn and Trip's mom, was hosting the party, which also saw Kenny's family over as well. "You ought to think about taking a break," Johanna said, "You'll run yourselves ragged if you keep going off on adventures without at least taking breaks in between them."
"Trust me, mom," Dawn said, "I've got no plans to head off on any adventure outside of Sinnoh anytime soon. In fact, I'm thinking of writing a book about all of my experiences, and I can't very well write said book if I'm going off from place to place."
Trip looked surprised to hear what Dawn said. "You're gonna write a book? Geez, how long do you think it'll be?"
"My bet is that it'll be three-hundred and twenty-three chapters long," Kenny said, "Like an overly long fanfic story on the internet." Dawn smacked Kenny in the back of the head for spouting off stupid nonsense for the umpteenth time.
Johanna smiled gently at Dawn and Trip. "Well I'm glad to know that my kids are going to be in Sinnoh for the foreseeable future. Oh, and before I forget Dawn, congratulations on defending your title as Champion of Sinnoh. I have no doubt that you'll continue to defend that title for quite some time to come." The party went on for quite some time, stretching well into the evening before the first of the party goers had to drop off; Kenny's little sister had to be taken home by Kenny's mom.
But Kenny himself, as well as Mina, stayed on for well into the night, being among the last of the people at the party to fall asleep.
...
Dawn was wearing her night gown as she prepared to fall asleep, but was met up by her fellow reborn trainers. Dawn had no plans on revealing her and the others' natures as reincarnates in the book she was planning on writing. The average person wouldn't believe it anyway, and similarly Dawn wasn't planning on revealing things she similarly believed wouldn't be believed by the average person. After that was settled, Mina asked, "So what are we going to do now?"
Dawn looked to Mina. "What do you mean?"
"We've beaten Team Scorn down once and for all," Mina said, "We've helped to save the world. What all else is there left for us to do?"
"Well Dawn has that book of hers she's planning on writing," Kenny said, "And I'm thinking about looking into expanding the power of Kenny Harris Studios."
Shrugging, Trip said, "I wanna look into going to Hoenn as soon as it's feasible. I've always loved that region and wouldn't mind visiting. Not for any business, I feel like it'd be great to go there for a bit of vacation."
"Well after what all we've done, I think we've earned the right to vacation for the rest of our lives," Kenny said, "But we shouldn't let that make us grow rusty."
Shrugging, Mina said, "Maybe we can complete the Pokédex for every region? I mean we did so for Paldea, why not for the rest of the regions?"
Dawn wore a contemplative look on her face. In her previous life, completing the Pokédex in what game she was playing at the time was one of her main things she did during gameplay. And it would give the heroes something to do now that the world was saved and all bad guys were dealt with. With a mildly amused look on her face, Dawn said, "Well first, let me write and publish the book on our travels first."
Kenny lit up with excitement. "We have another adventure planned?!"
"It won't be for quite some time," Dawn pointed out, "And there's still a lot of planning that has to be done. But I feel that getting one of each Pokémon registered as caught between the lot of us here would make for a decent adventure, not to mention how it would help Pokémon Professors with their research like you wouldn't believe."
"We should begin by writing out lists of what Pokémon we don't have yet," Trip advised, "Organize them by region to make things easier. I'm pretty sure that we're also missing a few legendary and mythical Pokémon, so those may require extra effort on our part." Smirking with amusement, Trip went on, "But it does sound like it'd make for an excellent adventure to head off on, once all other businesses is settled and taken care of."
Kenny gave a loud enough cheer at the prospect of a new adventure that Dawn had to hush him; it was nighttime after all, and some people in the house were still sleeping. But Dawn couldn't blame Kenny for being so excited at the prospect of the next adventure for him and the others to go on. Dawn herself was a bit excited at the idea of completing the Pokédex for every region, getting every species of Pokémon registered as caught.
After telling everyone to go back to bed, Dawn closed the door to her bedroom behind everyone before heading to her bed to crawl in and go to sleep. She looked to the mantel and wall where all of her accolades were placed and or hung. Symbols of her journeys through the regions of the world, and who knows? The collection may very well grow bigger during the adventure to fill up every page of every region's Pokédex.
Closing her eyes, Dawn soon fell asleep as she thought about how her adventure in this life of hers was going to continue.
THE END
Author's notes;
Woo! This story had gone on for longer than any other story I've written, and I doubt I'll write another similarly long story again. But yeah, this is where Pokémon: Sinnoh no Isekai has come to a close. There were ups, downs, good times, bad times, and a great deal of things to do. But in the end, the heroes came out on the winning side.
I've still got a story or two left, and I may put out a new work. Don't worry, I'm not done as a whole yet. But yeah, thanks to everyone who has stuck around since the very beginning of this story, and I hope that all of you had as much of a ball as I have had. I'm going to be relaxing a bit, then look into finishing up a few other things.
I've always loved stories, and getting one or two of my own out there is an indescribable feeling. Well, I'm going to be taking care of other business now. I'll be catching all of you later.
