Stitched Kitsune: Chapter 37
Sasori vs Itachi
Sasori using his Kazekage puppet manipulated the Iron sand and formed thousands of sand senbon in the air; Sasori with a flick of his wrist sent the senbon down towards Itachi. Itachi using his sharingan tracked the senbon as they came towards him and began to dodge the incoming senbon.
Itachi began to dodge, jump and flip as the senbon landed around him; when the volley was done Itachi began to go through hand signs 'Fire Style: Fire Ball Jutsu'. Itachi fired a massive fire ball towards Sasori; Sasori using his wings flew low and fast across the ground and flew straight towards Itachi.
Sasori pointed both of his arms towards Itachi and 2 nozzles appeared; Sasori shot 2 streams of fire towards Itachi and Itachi dodged to the side before rushing towards Sasori. Sasori seeing Itachi wanting to come in for close combat activated 2 hidden blades in his arms.
Itachi pulled out a scroll and opened it revealing his sword from his anbu days; Itachi jumped into the air and spun around sending a slash towards Sasori. Sasori blocked with his arm blades before pulling one away and slashing at Itachi; Itachi twisted in mid air and sent a slash from behind.
Sasori expecting this adjusted his wings and they moved slightly so they got in the way of the blade; Itachi's sword was snapped in half when it contacted the spinning wings. Sasori smirked as he turned to Itachi and kicked him away sending him skidding back several yards.
Itachi's Sharingan began to morph into his Mangekyo Sharingan "Amaterasu" Itachi said as his eye began to bleed; Itachi launched black fire towards Sasori and Sasori prepared his defenses.
Sasori using the Kazekage puppet made an Iron sand wall that protected him from Itachi's flames; Sasori morphed the flaming sand into iron sand shuriken and sent them towards Itachi.
Itachi canceled the Amaterasu flames and jumped out of the way but wasn't fast enough and one shuriken cut his arm.
Itachi landed a few yards away and looked at his wound and saw it was starting to turn purple as a burning sensation traveled up his arm 'poison; I must end this fight-' Itachi began to think until he began to cough violently 'no… not now'. Itachi's coughing caught Sasori off guard.
'What is going on, my poison just entered his body' Sasori thought 'it shouldn't be affecting him yet… unless'; Sasori went wide eyed at the revelation. 'He's sick; that's why he's reacting like this' Sasori closely at Itachi who was coughing; he saw blood in his hand 'seems like some kind of lung disease; TB, lung cancer, maybe Pulmonary Embolism'. 'Either way; this will help me in this battle' Sasori thought as he got into a stance.
Itachi stopped coughing and looked at Sasori; Itachi's vision was getting more and more blurry, he already fought against Yugito and used a lot of chakra. Fighting Sasori was taking it's toll on him and he had to end the fight soon because if her tried to run he would be killed due to his exhaustion and failing health.
Itachi took out a kunai and got into a fighting stance 'I can't die here' Itachi thought 'I still have so much to do'.
Kakuzu vs Jiraya
Kakuzu threw a punch at Jiraya and Jiraya blocked the punch; Kakuzu not wanting to give up the momentum threw a kick at Jiraya. The kick connected to Jiraya's chest and Jiraya coughed up blood as he was sent tumbling back; Kakuzu began to go through hand signs as Jiraya recovered.
"Earth Style: Bedrock coffin" Kakuzu shouted as he slammed his hands onto the ground.
Jiraya recovered from the hit and felt the earth rumble as 2 stones appeared on either side of him; both stones quickly came together in order to crush Jiraya who was in the middle. However Jiraya was fast enough to jump up and out before the 2 rocked could crush him; Jiraya landed on the top of the 2 rocks and was about to attack Kakuzu.
Before Jiraya could even make a single hand sign he had to jump away as a stream of fire came towards him; Jiraya jumped onto the ground and saw that Kakuzu's fire and wind hearts were side by side.
Both hearts combined together and both formed 2 balls of wind and fire; Jiraya seeing this went wide eyed.
"Oh shit" Jiraya said before both hearts fired a wind enhanced fire Jutsu at him; the large pillar of flames rushed towards Jiraya who went through hand signs "Earth Style: Mud wall". Jiraya formed a wall in front of him which protected him from the Jutsu; however the jutsu began to crack and crumble and Jiraya cursed. When the jutsu died down Jiraya jumped up from behind it and went through hand signs.
'Water Style: Water bullets' Jiraya fired a volley of water bullets at the combined wind and fire hearts and both of the hearts separated in order to not be hit. Jiraya smirked as he rushed towards the fire heart and formed a rasengan in his hand; as Jiraya neared the heart the heart reached out with it's arm in order to catch him. Jiraya ducked under the attack and shoved the rasengan into the hearts center.
"Rasengan" Jiraya shouted as his jutsu drove into the heart before it cut through and Jiraya appeared out the other side.
Kakuzu clenched his chest in pain as one of his hearts was destroyed 'damn it' Kakuzu thought as he charged in and hardened his body; Kakuzu approached Jiraya and Jiraya turned around in order to engage him.
'Earth Style: Earth spear' Kakuzu shouted as he sent a blow to Jiraya; Jiraya formed a second rasengan and sent it to stop Kakuzu's attack. Both attacks collided and both Jutsu grinned against each other; Jiraya's rasengan won out as Kakuzu's arm was torn off and sent flying.
Jiraya spun around and sent a kick to Kakuzu's stomach sending him rolling across the ground; Jiraya was about to rush in but before he could make a move he was hit from behind by several electrified water bullets.
Jiraya fell to the ground and looked back and saw Kakuzu's water and lightning hearts were combined; the water heart fired water bullets while the lightning heart electrified them. Jiraya's back was smoking from the hit as he got up; as he did so he saw Kakuzu walk over to his severed arm and pick it up.
Kakuzu then proceeded to reattach it to his body making Jiraya repulsed by the sight "Good as new" Kakuzu said before looking at Jiraya "you destroyed my heart… it's been a while since someone has done that".
"Shut up" Jiraya said as he got back to his feet "you're not going to win; you'll just die trying". "Why do you care about the boy so much" Jiraya asked "I know of you; you're a famous mercenary, ruthless, efficient". "So why do you care about Naruto" Jiraya asked.
Kakuzu thought for a second and spoke "because he's like me" Kakuzu said making Jiraya raise an eyebrow "we were wanted for our power; but when we were no use to the village we were tossed out like garbage". "In another world me and Naruto would be enemies; he's too kind hearted" Kakuzu said "but he was hated and mutilated by his village; I was humiliated and scorned for failing an impossible task". "Let me ask you this" Kakuzu said "if he was such an important weapon; why was he beaten, abused, starved and tortured". "If that's all he knew then he would've turned eventually" Kakuzu said.
"So me, Hiruzen and Kakashi could swoop in and gain his trust" Jiraya said and Kakuzu narrowed his eyes "a beaten dog will obey anyone who shows it a little kindness; he would've never have a family, nor a future or friends". "All he would know is the village" Jiraya said and Kakuzu growled.
'And I thought I was rotten' Kakuzu thought as he got back into his stance "I'm going to enjoy killing you".
Zabuza vs Kisame
Zabuza swung his sword at Kisame and Kisame put his sword in front of him and blocked Zabuza's attack; Kisame parried the sword to the side and proceeded to kick Zabuza in the face.
Zabuza's head was knocked back and Kisame went on the attack; Kisame slashed at Zabuza and Zabuza put up his defenses. Kisame's attack was blocked but he angled his sword the right way and pulled down; Samehada became more jagged and sharp as the sword ripped off some of Zabuza's flesh from his arm.
Zabuza jumped back and looked at the wound; there were several deep cuts in his arm but none of the arteries were hit. Zabuza stabbed his sword into the ground and began to go through hand signs 'Water Style: Water Vortex Jutsu'.
Zabuza launched a water vortex at Kisame who raised his sword into the air as it neared; Kisame then cut the vortex down the middle as it reached him but soon went wide eyed as he realized Zabuza planned it.
Zabuza came out of the vortex and slashed at Kisame; Zabuza landed a good cut across Kisame's chest but it was not deep enough to damage any organs. Kisame shouted in pain before grabbed into Zabuza's arm and pulling him in.
Kisame opened his mouth and proceeded to bit Zabuza on his right Trapezius making Zabuza scream.
"Ahhh… you fuck" Zabuza shouted as he proceeded to knee Kisame in the gut; Kisame bit off a chunk of flesh from Zabuza as he was knocked away. Kisame spat out the chunk of flesh and Zabuza grabbed his wound "you psychotic bastard" Zabuza shouted.
"There is no honor in battle Zabuza" Kisame said as he began to go through hand signs "there is only victory or death". "Water Style: Water Shark bomb jutsu" Kisame shouted as a shark made of water appeared and went towards Zabuza; Zabuza himself began to go through hand signs as well.
"Water Style: Water Dragon Jutsu" Zabuza shouted as a water dragon formed and went towards the shark; both jutsu collided and destroyed each other. Zabuza then made a very familiar hand sign.
"Lets see how well you do with this" Zabuza said as he put one hand above his head and held one in front of his face "Water Style: Hidden mist jutsu". Mist began to form from the water vapor and the whole are began to get covered in a thick mist; Zabuza disappeared from Kisame's sight and Kisame began to focus.
Kisame closed his eyes as that entire area was dead quiet; Kisame spun around very quickly and swung his sword. Zabuza was behind Kisame and ducked under the blade before swinging his own sword landing a glancing blow on Kisame's leg before jumping away.
"Well looks like your silent killing has improved" Kisame said "but I can smell your blood, even though it's faint".
"Hehehe; I expect no less from you" Zabuza's voice said disembodied from the mist "but it doesn't matter; I'm here just to distract you, and so far I'm doing a damn good job". "Now then" Zabuza said from Kisame's side before taking a swing; Kisame ducked and slashed back at Zabuza who jumped back into the mist "lets see who can cut each other to ribbons first".
Outside the village: With Kurenai, Tayuya and Karin
Kurenai was carrying a wounded and unconscious Karin in her arms as they ran outside the village like how Zabuza told her; as they ran they saw three figures hiding amongst some trees.
Sakura was doing first aid on Naruto and Fu who were unconscious when she heard a noise behind her; Sakura took out a kunai and turned around ready to fight.
"Woah; hold up pinkie, it's us" Tayuya said "sorry we're late; we got side tracked and- what the fuck happened to them". Both Tayuya and Kurenai were looking down at Fu and Naruto who were unconscious at Sakura's feet.
"Me and Fu ran into Sasuke in the village on the way to find you" Sakura said before looking at Fu "Fu got hit by his chidori; I stopped the bleeding but she needs a doctor". "Naruto was brought here by an earth clone; he lost a heart but other than that he has no injuries" Sakura said.
"Then why is he unconscious" Kurenai said as she put Karin down and looked over Naruto; she put her hand on him and sent a pulse of chakra. Naruto's seal appeared on his stomach but it seemed different as it had five extra seals around it "Fuinjutsu" Kurenai said "let me see if i can break it".
Kurenai went through hand signs and slammed her hand onto Naruto stomach "Release" she said; suddenly Kurenai was sent a shock through her system and jumped away.
"What the hell was that" Tayuya asked and Kurenai rolled her wrist.
"The seal rejected my jutsu; the seal is more complicated than I thought" Kurenai said "we need someone with more knowledge of Fuinjutsu".
"Fuck; red here is the Fuinjutsu expert and she's knocked the fuck out" Tayuya said as she kneeled over Karin; Tayuya rolled her over and looked at Karin's back. There was a large dark bruise in the middle of her back and Tayuya winced as she put Karin back in place "and her back is screwed up; either broken or slipped a disk".
"What do we do now" Sakura asked and Kurenai spoke.
"You two provide first aid; I'm going to find the others" Kurenai said as she began to run back towards the village; as Kurenai ran at full speed she began to pray 'please let me arrive in time'.
Sasori vs Itachi
Yugito opened her eyes on the ground with her head pounding and her back aching "damn" Yugito said as she sat up slowly; Yugito looked and saw an unusual sight.
The black haired mad she was fighting was not fighting a red haired man; but the red haired man looked unusual as it seemed like he had metal blade wings coming out of his back and had a opening in his abdomen with a metal cable inside.
"What the hell" Yugito said in confusion as she got to a knee and began to speak in her mind 'Matatabi; do you hear me'.
"Yes kitten, I hear you; I'm glad you woke up, I was worried" Matatabi said in relief and Yugito nodded.
'I need your chakra again Matatabi' Yugito said in her mind as she looked at the red haired man 'I don't know who he is but if he's fighting that black haired man then he's an ally… for now'.
"It'll take a few minutes kitten; just be patient" Matatabi said as she began to gather her chakra.
Sasori sent the Kazekage puppet towards Itachi with the iron sand on either side of it; the iron sand formed into 2 crescent shaped blades and were launched at at Itachi. Itachi seeing the blades coming towards him jumped up and over them as they passed underneath him.
While in mid air Itachi went through hand signs "Fire Style: Fireball jutsu" ;Itachi fired a fire ball at the Kazekage puppet and scored a direct hit on the puppet. The puppet crashed to the ground with the entire right half of the puppet destroyed.
"That was my favorite puppet" Sasori said with an angry look on his face; Sasori launched his cable at Itachi and Itachi dodged the cable as it embedded itself into a tree. As soon as the cable got stuck in the tree Sasori used the cable to pull himself towards Itachi at a incredible speed.
As Sasori neared he stuck his foot out and sent a flying kick into Itachi's stomach; Itachi coughed up blood as he was sent flying back into a tree. Sasori pulled out the cable from the tree and rushed towards Itachi; Sasori activated his wings and did a spin in order to hit Itachi with the rotating blades.
However Itachi jumped out of the way as the wings hit the tree he was up against and began to shred the trunk; Itachi got behind Sasori and kicked him in the back and into the tree. Upon doing this Sasori's wings got locked up in the bark and he had to detach them from his body.
Sasori spun around, pointed her right arm and fired several senbon from a hidden compartment; Itachi ducked out of the way and kicked the arm breaking it off. Itachi followed up with a punch to Sasori's face which cracked and shattered the left side of his head.
Sasori dazed was unable to defend himself as Itachi proceeded to punch Sasori right in his core; the core was knocked out of his puppet body and fell onto the ground. Itachi then spun around and sent a spinning kick to Sasori's puppet body's midsection; the kick bisected the body sending the upper half off to the side.
Itachi was breathing heavily as the over use of his sharingan, his disease and chakra exhaustion was getting to him "damn, that was harder than I-" he began but was cut off. Itachi was tackled from behind by Yugito who was in her 2 tailed cloak form.
"Damn you" Yugito shouted as her nails extended and she sunk them down into Itachi's back; Yugito dragged her claws down Itachi's back ripping flesh and tearing muscle making him scream in pain. Yugito raised her right claw into the air and sent a slash towards Itachi's mid back; her claws severed Itachi's spine and he felt everything below his waist go numb.
Yugito put her hand on his head and put it to the ground and leaned in and hissed in his ear "I got some questions for you" Yugito said before raising her hand. Yugito chopped Itachi on the back of the neck hitting the brain stem knocking him out; Yugito seeing Itachi was unconscious got up and walked over to Sasori upper half.
"I'm sorry Mr. Red Haired man" Yugito said as she leaned down and looked at the damaged puppet and began to tear up "you're my savior; and I never even got to learn your name". Suddenly the puppets damaged head turned to her and spoke.
"My name is Sasori of the red sand" Sasori said scaring Yugito.
"Kyaaaaah" Yugito screamed like a little girl as she jumped up "I thought you were dead".
"He only knocked out my core; as long as it's in one piece I'll live" Sasori said "could you please go over and grab the very bottom scroll from my lower half". Yugito still in shock ran over and grabbed the scroll and came back "now open it" Sasori said; Yugito did so and it revealed another puppet of Sasori "this one is my spare although it doesn't have as many upgrades as this one".
"Ok so what now" Yugito asked and Sasori spoke.
"I want you to take out my core and out it in the hole in the chest" Sasori said "can you do it"; Yugito nodded and kneeled down.
"S-sure" Yugito said nervously as she reached down and plucked out the core from the damaged body; as she held it in her hands Yugito began to gag "oh my god… it's all slimey".
Kakuzu vs Jiraya
Kakuzu's lightning heart fired a stream of lightning towards Jiraya and Jiraya began to run in order to avoid being hit; the lighting heard continued to fire it's stream of lightning cutting apart the trees behind Jiraya.
Jiraya began to go through hand signs and when he stopped he looked at the heart "Wind Style: Air bullets"; Jiraya fired several air bullets from his mouth towards the lighting heart.
The air bullets passed through the stream of lightning and hit the heart knocking it back; the heart was not destroyed but it took come damage and was reforming itself. Jiraya was about to move in and engage the heart but before he could he was hit in the gut by a fist that came from the ground.
Kakuzu was several dozen yards away with his right hand in the ground being controlled by his threads; Kakuzu recalled his fist and began to go through hand signs "Earth Style: Flying Thrown Stones". Kakuzu slammed his hands onto the ground and several large stones were sent flying across the clearing over to Jiraya; Jiraya jumped away as the large stones landed where he was just at.
As Jiraya landed the water heart charged in and attacked him by sending his arm towards him; Jiraya made a hand sign and shouted "Secret art: Needle Jizu". Jiraya's hair began to grow around him and became a lot more spiky; Jiraya's hair peirced through nor only the hearts arm but also it's body as well.
Jiraya undid his Jutsu enough to reveal a rasengan in his hand "take this" he shouted as she shoved the rasengan into the immobilized heart; the rasengan destroyed the heart and Kakuzu felt the pain in his chest as he fell to a knee.
"Damn it; that's two he said" Kakuzu said as he stared at Jiraya; Jiraya undid his Needle Jizu and looked at Kakuzu.
"Numbers only count for so much" Jiraya said as he looked around; there was now only the lightning heart and the wind heart and the lighting heart was still reforming itself 'only him and two left ; this shouldn't take much longer' he thought.
Jiraya began to walk forward and began to go through hand signs when suddenly out of the ground there came several tree roots that began to wrap around his legs as they slowly began to travel up his body and restrain him.
"What the hell" Jiraya said as he struggled to break free; Jiraya then realized what was going on "genjutsu". Jiraya focused his chakra and released a small pulse of chakra through his body; the genjutsu broke and Jiraya saw Kurenai in front of him with a kunai in her hand.
Kurenai sent a stab towards Jiraya and Jiraya in a moment of desperation put his hand out to stop it; Kurenai stabbed Jiraya through the hand making him wince in pain.
"You traitor" Jiraya shouted as he kicked Kurenai in the chest sending her flying across the clearing; Kakuzu seeing this extended his arm our to reach out and grabbed her.
Kurenai was caught by Kakuzu and brought back to the ground "what are you doing here" Kakuzu said.
"Zabuza came and got me, Karin and Tayuya out of our fight" Kurenai said "I was coming back to help you, Sasori or head back to Zabuza"; Kurenai turned and saw Jiraya who just pulled out the kunai from his hand. "So what's Jiraya of the Sanin doing here" Kurenai asked and Kakuzu spoke.
"He's here to take Naruto back to Konoha; he was nearly successful" Kakuzu said "I arrived just in time; did you see the seal on Naruto"; Kurenai nodded and Kakuzu continued. "Well we need to find a way to get that off of him; not sure what it does but it can't be good" Kakuzu said and Kurenai nodded.
Jiraya looked on in anger as he saw Kurenai 'So she's with Naruto's group; why is she with them, she has no ties to him' he thought 'doesn't matter anyway; I can still do this'.
As soon as he thought that Jiraya saw a volley of senbon coming towards him; Jiraya jumped out of the way and looked to where it came from "you've got to be shitting me" Jiraya said in anger.
Sasori and Yugito came out of the woods; Sasori had his left arm open as he fired a volley of senbon from a hidden launcher.
"About time Sasori; have you taken care of that Uchiha" Kakuzu asked and Jiraya went wide eyed.
'Sasori of the red sand; that's him' Jiraya thought as he looked at him 'he should be in his mid thirties by now; he looks like he's in his early teens'.
"Sorry about that Kakuzu, my body was destroyed; I'm using my spare" Sasori said "and I even brought miss Yugito here as well".
Yugito looked and saw Kurenai "where the hell is Samui" Yugito asked narrowing her eyes.
"She's alive last I saw; I told her not to pull out the tanto from her chest and find a doctor" Kurenai asked trying to calm Yugito down; Yugito took in a deep breath and spoke.
"If she dies… you're next on my list" Yugito said and Kurenai nodded; Yugito looked to Jiraya and spoke "but first we have other priorities".
Jiraya cursed as he looked at his odds 'two S-class, a jinchuriki and a genjutsu specialist' he thought 'I used a lot of chakra already; I don't think I can continue'. Jiraya began to go through hand signs and slammed his hand onto the ground; Jiraya summoned out a small toad 'a tactical retreat is in order'.
"Reverse summon me to mount Myoboku" Jiraya said to the toad who nodded; Jiraya vanished in a puff of smoke and Yugito was about to rush forward.
"Hey" Yugito shouted before Kakuzu grabbed her shoulder.
"He's gone" Kakuzu said and she growled "go find your friend and head to the others outside the village; I'll fix her up later". "Kurenai, take her to the camp and wait there; me and Sasori are going to get Zabuza" Kakuzu said before he and Sasori ran off.
Kurenai looked to Yugito and spoke "lets go" she said as she led to where she last saw Samui; as she ran with Yugito she felt Yugito's gaze pierce her back 'please be alive'.
Zabuza vs Kisame
Kisame swung his sword at Zabuza and Zabuza ducked under the blade before coming up in a rising slash; Kisame dodged the blade and jumped back gaining some distance. Zabuza seeing he now had some room went through hand signs.
"Water Style: Water Clone jutsu" Zabuza shouted as 3 water clones appeared and stood next to him; Zabuza and his clones charged at Kisame who got into a defensive stance as Zabuza closed in.
The first clone slashed at Kisame and Kisame blocked the attack and decapitated the clone dispelling it; another clone came up behind Kisame and Kisame jumped up and brought down his sword like and axe.
The water clone raised it's sword over it's head to defend itself but it didn't work; Kisame's sword went through the sword and cleaved the clone in half dispelling it.
Zabuza and his last clone both attacked at the same time and both sent a slash towards Kisame; Kisame attacked one of the Zabuza's not sure which one was the original. Kisame's attack connected and the result was Zabuza turning into water as he destroyed the clone.
Zabuza sent a slash towards Kisame and gave him a nasty cut across his gut; Kisame's intestines spilled out and Kisame used his free hand to hold his guts in. Kisame swung his sword at Zabuza's back and scored a hit ripping off some of Zabuza's back muscles.
Zabuza fell to the ground before getting back up and into a stance; both Zabuza and Kisame were both bleeding and breathing heavily as they looked at each other. Kisame despite having his guts in his hand was still standing and seemingly not noticing any pain; meanwhile Zabuza had several chunks of flesh ripped off and was running low on chakra.
'I'm at my limit' Zabuza thought as he gripped his sword 'I have to end this in the next blow'.
'Kid grew up a lot since the last time I saw him' Kisame thought as he looked at his wound 'too bad… he had so much potential'.
Zabuza and Kisame both gripped their swords and rushed towards each other and full speed; both men swung their swords and ran past each other before stoping. Kisame was smirking as he looked behind him and saw his handiwork.
Zabuza's sword was snapped in half as one half was lying on the ground and Zabuza still holding the other half.
Zabuza coughed up blood onto his broken sword as it began to reform; he looked down and saw a nasty and jagged wound going from his upper left chest to his lower right ribs. Zabuza saw his shredded organs poking out from his ribcage and he began to feel cold and light headed.
Zabuza hell to the ground on top of his sword and his blood began to fall onto the broken blade; Zabuza's blade was being repaired with his own blood as Kisame walked over and stood over him.
"That was a good fight kid" Kisame said with a bloody smile "it's the most honorable death men like us can ever hope for". Kisame winced as he began to feel the pain from his wound "we can have a rematch in hell" Kisame said as he began to walk away; Kisame vanished in a swirl of water leaving Zabuza on the ground.
As Zabuza laid on the ground he had one final thought; he saw a young smiling Haku holding her Snow White rabbit and Naruto holding her hand as they walked down a road.
'Take care of Haku…brat' Zabuza thought before his world went dark.
A few hours later: With Naruto
"Gah" Naruto shouted in a startled voice as he sat up and looked around.
"Naruto, calm down it's me" Sakura said trying to calm him.
"Sakura; you're ok" Naruto said giving her a hug; Sakura gave him a hug back before he pulled away. "We got to get out of here; there's this old guy and this cat chick who are trying to… kill… me…" Naruto began until he looked around.
Naruto saw Kakuzu Kurenai and Tayuya sitting next to Samui; Samui was completely shirtless as Kakuzu was using his threads to seal up Samui's chest wound. Naruto blushed while looking at the topless woman before quickly looking away.
"Ok, I wasn't expecting to see that" Naruto said blushing and Samui spoke.
"Don't worry he's done" Samui said as she grabbed her shirt and put it on over her newly stitched wound "no need to be shy". Naruto turned back around and looked at Samui.
"Umm… you're friends with that other lady" Naruto said and Samui nodded "where is she; is she ok".
"Yugito is fine" Samui said "she's off with your red haired friend… Sasori, I think; they're interrogating their prisoner".
"Wait Sasori is here too" Naruto said and Kakuzu nodded.
"Me, Sasori and Kakuzu came to save you; Orochimaru gave us a warning that someone was out to get you" Kakuzu said "but we didn't expect three different groups".
"Where is Zabuza" Naruto asked; everyone looked to Naruto with a solemn expression and Naruto felt his stomach drop. Kakuzu pointed behind Naruto and he saw something that made his hearts stop.
Karin and Fu we're both unconscious laying side by side with I.V's in their arms and a few yards away from them there was a white sheet that was stained with blood. Naruto got up and walked over and stood above the white sheet; Naruto grabbed it and pulled it back revealing Zabuza's corpse.
Zabuza was cold and his skin had no warmth to it; Zabuza had a large chest wound and was caked in blood.
"Oh god, Zabuza" Naruto said as he fell to his knees and began to cry "damn it…FUCK"; everyone looked at Naruto with differing emotions. Sakura and Kurenai felt their hearts break for Naruto, Samui and Tayuya looked on in understanding as they too have lost comrades; Kakuzu however looked on in annoyance at Naruto.
"What am I going to tell Haku" Naruto said through his tears "she's going to be so heart broken; how am I going to look her in the eyes after this". Naruto was in the middle of sobbing when Kakuzu came over and kicked Naruto; Naruto was sent flying into a tree and it knocked his breath out and he fell to the ground gasping.
"Shut up" Kakuzu said glaring at Naruto; Sakura, Kurenai, Tayuya and Samui all looked on in shock at what Kakuzu just did "Zabuza is dead, he's not alive; he's nothing but a cold corpse". Kakuzu gave Zabuza's body a kick to emphasize the point and Naruto got angry.
"I'll kill-" Naruto began but Kakuzu stopped him by punching him in the gut making him fall to the ground again.
Just then Sasori and Yugito came running back and saw Naruto on the ground "what the hell are you doing" Yugito shouted and Kakuzu looked at her.
"Back off woman" Kakuzu said before looking at Naruto; Yugito was about to charge Kakuzu but Sasori stopped her.
"Don't; let them hash it out" Sasori said and Yugito scoffed.
"Zabuza is dead; there is nothing more you can do for him" Kakuzu said and Naruto spat at his feet but he ignored it "but you have two other priorities now". Kakuzu pointed at Fu and Karin who were both out cold "Fu has massive organ damage and Karin's spine is fractures; they need a skilled doctor" he said "you and your group were looking for Tsunade; now you have more incentive to find her". "So wipe those damn tears and get your ass in gear and save them" Kakuzu said "or I can just take their hearts as payment for the two of mine that were destroyed; what will it be boy".
"Fuck…you" Naruto said looking at Kakuzu with a hateful gaze; Naruto stood up and looked at him "I'll get Tsunade and heal them both".
"You better" Kakuzu said before looking at Sasori "I'll be taking Fu and Karin back to Oto; stay with Naruto and the others".
"Very well" Sasori said as he looked at a corpse scroll "It'll give me more time to plan on what I'm going to do with Itachi here when we get back home".
With Jiraya
Jiraya was breathing heavy as he leaned against a tree at the far end of the village 'this… was not how I expected the day to go' Jiraya thought. As he leaned against the tree he heard rustling and he turned around; Jiraya saw Sasuke with several cuts, bruises and a damaged right eye.
"Damn kid; you look worse than I do" Jiraya said making Sasuke growl "what happened to you".
"Sakura… that traitor" Sasuke said catching Jiraya's attention "she was here; I was chasing Itachi and I ran into her and a green haired girl with wings". "My eye is damaged; she ruined my sharingan" Sasuke said clenching his fist.
Jiraya hearing this got back up 'so, two S-class ninja, two rogue Konoha Kunoichi and the seven tails Jinchuriki; quite a group you have Naruto' Jiraya thought before looking at Sasuke.
"We'll take a few days to rest and recuperate" Jiraya said making Sasuke look at him "Naruto and his group are too powerful for us to take on by ourselves; we have no choice but to let them go".
"We need to kill them for what they did" Sasuke said and Jiraya nodded.
"In due time Sasuke" Jiraya said "first we need to find Tsunade and have her heal your eye; them we bring her back to Konoha". "After that we train and hunt them down" Jiraya said and Sasuke smirked "Naruto and the seven tails are the only ones we need alive; we can kill the rest".
"Sounds good to me" Sasuke said and Jiraya spoke.
"Lets go" Jiraya said as he and Sasuke began to walk south.
The next day; North of the village: With Naruto and the others
Naruto, Sasori, Sakura, Tayuya and Kurenai all looked at Yugito and Samui who stood a few feet away. Kakuzu left with Fu, Karin and Zabuza's body earlier leaving them to continue the mission.
"I would like to say thank you" Samui said looking to Kurenai "you could've killed me but you didn't; and you even stitched up my wound". Samui bowed to Kurenai "I thank you Kurenai" she said and Kurenai bowed as well.
"No problem; I hope we can put this all past us" Kurenai said and Samui nodded.
Samui looked to Yugito who had her arms crossed and she elbowed her in the ribs and gave her a look; Yugito sighed and spoke to Naruto.
"I'm sorry… I tried to kill you" Yugito said "I hope you can forgive me… I was wrong"; Naruto smiled and nodded.
"Y-yeah it's fine, just uh… don't do it again" Naruto said as this was a little awkward for him.
"Good, now Yugito can finally take down all that stuff in my spare room" Samui said and Naruto looked at her.
"What stuff" Naruto asked and Yugito began to panic.
"Samui don't" Yugito said but Samui ignored her.
"Yugito has been obsessing over you for years" Samui said making Naruto go wide eyed "she has maps, drawings of you, reports about sightings of you; it's so uncool".
"Wait a minute" Naruto said looking at Yugito "are you a stalker or something"; Yugito began to turn red and spoke.
"No, I'm not a stalker" Yugito said embarrassed.
"Sounds pretty stalkerish to me" Tayuya said making Yugito look at her "maybe she just thought she hated you but in reality she likes you". Tayuya smirked at how she was stoking the fire of the situation and Yugito began to speak.
"I don't like him; I hate him, he nearly ruined my career" Yugito said and Naruto raised up his hands.
"Hey if you like me that's cool" Naruto said chuckling "but just FYI; you're going to need to discuss it with Fu, Karin, Haku and Fukui first". "I don't want them to get jealous" Naruto said jokingly; Yugito was shaking in both anger and embarrassment as she grabbed Samui's hand and began to walk off.
"Shut up; I hope I don't see your stupid face again" Yugito shouted as she walked off.
Both Naruto and Tayuya began to laugh as Yugito and Samui left "Oh man I had a stalker this whole time; this is hilarious" Naruto laughed as he held his gut.
"Did you see her turn red" Tayuya laughed "oh man that chick has problems"; as the laughter died down Kurenai, Sakura and Sasori looked on shaking their heads.
'Seriously Naruto' Sakura thought.
'How immature' Kurenai thought.
'Why did I get stuck with this' Sasori thought; Sasori then spoke up gaining their attention "lets get going; we still have to find Tsunade". Everyone looked at him and nodded.
They all began to walk down a road heading west and Naruto looked to Sakura "hey Sakura; what's the next few Casino's and gambling towns" Naruto asked and Sakura looked at him.
"Let me check the map" Sakura said as she pulled out a map "hmmm… if we go this way we'll hit Shizuoka village, Hojo hot springs and casino, Tanzaku Gai and then Nobuhara city" Sakura said and Naruto nodded.
"Alrighty then" Naruto said as he walked down the road "lets find Tsunade everybody"; Naruto had a boisterous air around him which lightened the mood and lifted the spirits of everyone as they continued their search.
Meanwhile; In a casino: With Tsunade
Tsunade was playing a slot machine while Shizune and her pet pig Tonton stood behind her; as Tsunade pulled the lever and the wheels started spinning and a few second later they all stopped.
Tsunade hit 3 gold bars and the machine began to spit out tokens like crazy "Lady Tsunade you won; congratulations" Shizune said with a smile on her face. Tsunade however had a bad feeling in her gut; Tsunade waited until the machine stopped, picked up her tokens and got up.
"We're cashing out and leaving Shizune" Tsunade said and Shizune looked at her confused.
"Huh; but why, you won" Shizune said and Tsunade nodded.
"That's exactly why we are leaving" Tsunade said before walking off "When I win… that's when I know my luck is about to get a lot worse". As Tsunade walked off Shizune followed behind her.
'What ever it is; I'm sure it couldn't be that bad' Shizune thought.
