Rebuild SKL is Kaiser
ESKK: Alright everyone let's begin chapter 3.
(Start Wunder Asuka's quarter)
Asuka laid in her bed in a more isolated part of the ship. Her belongings surrounded her in the tiny quarters she claimed as hers as she started at the ceiling with her good eye. Just the previous night she had been given the biggest bomb she had ever received. Of course, Ritsuko had been surprised at the time as well. Still, she could not wrap her mind around this making her sulk here.
(Flashback)
"Akira is my WHAT?!" Asuka yelled as she glared at Ritsuko wanting answers now.
"I now this is disturbing Asuka, but genetics don't lie." Ritsuko said as she looked to Asuka. The girl was with Misato in Ritsuko's lab as they tried to figure out what had happened. "The boy possesses a combined DNA signature as that of Shinji and Asuka." Ritsuko said showing Akira's data on her computer. She had him undergo a physical as required from all WILLE members. "It's almost as if Shinji had sex with Asuka and she gave birth." Ritsuko said as Asuka got defensive on that.
"THAT NEVER HAPPENED!" Asuka shouted as the only time Shinji could have done that was when she was laid out in quarantine after the Unit-03 Incident. There was literally no time she and Shinji could have done the deed that resulted in Akira. More so Asuka would have noticed if she were pregnant. After all a beach ball in her belly was not something you would normally miss.
"We know that Asuka no one is accusing you of anything." Ritsuko said as she tried to think how this was even possible.
"We've all been through the tests several times Asuka is a confirmed Virgin so cloning is the only possibility but getting hers and Shinji's DNA like that should have been impossible." Misato said as this may make Akira even more dangerous and possibly harder to control. "So, talk how is can Akira have their shared genetics?" Misato ordered more then asked as Ritsuko got to thinking.
Ritsuko ruffled her hair and scratched her head, literally racking her brain searching for an answer. "There is one theory but it's a long shot even by scientific standards." Ritsuko said and thus they all paid attention. "As you know Ikari used the Dummy Plug to eliminate Unit-03 when it was compromised by the Angel." Ritsuko said as Asuka growled remembering that incident. "Near the end of that incident Unit-01 bit down on Asuka's Entry Plug it could be possible that some of Asuka's DNA was left behind in the EVA after its maw was closed." Ritsuko said as Asuka heard this and was now worried.
"Then during Third Impact when Unit-01 awoken the energies as well as the EVA's unique biological components may have resulted into something of an artificial womb." Ritsuko said as they all paid close attention here. "Thus, with the fluctuations in reality from the event Akira became the result of it." Ritsuko said which was a long shot and the doctor knew it.
In fact, this was the assumption shared with everyone in the room. "That sounds like a stretch." Misato said as Asuka tried to wrap her mind around this startling new revelation.
Ritsuko was upset to be doubted but even she had to admit that it was too much of a leap. "It is but it's the only theory we have." Ritsuko said making it clear that there was no way of confirming this. Well not unless they want to test it and put mankind at risk of going extinct in its entirety.
Misato however had one idea that might be worth exploring. "What are the chances he was made by NERV?" Misato suddenly asked as she wanted to cover all of their bases first. It would make sense since NERV did have access to both Shinji and Asuka at one point. With this information it would not have been farfetched that they could have acquired the two pilots DNA back then.
"Slim no offence but destroying your own forces just to gain our trust is one thing but the level that Akira and Kuzo do it is impractical." Ritsuko said as it made sense. The level of destruction those two caused would have been more crippling to NERV then anything else. Plus, while she did have her doubts about the two psychotic pilots, she also knew that the skull pilots they were far too wild to be controlled.
The leader of WILLE nodded to this getting some relief there from the doctors response. "Does he know?" Misato asked with a great deal of concern for varying reasons.
In response to the question Ritsuko simply shook her head before speaking. "No, the subject seems entirely unaware, and after that last debacle he is only aware of his blood link to Ikari." Ritsuko said as that was some good news for them. "I recommend we keep it that way." Ritsuko said as she knew how dangerous Akira was with just Kaiser now factor in a possible ability to use the EVA was a risk they could not afford to take.
"Good then that will be what we'll do." Misato said as she thought it over. "If anyone breaths a word of this to them there will be consequences." Misato said making sure that they needed to keep this hushed up here. The crew was already aware of Akira and Eve's relations to Shinji and Rei. If they find out Akira is also comprised of Asuka's DNA then that was a formula for infighting amongst them.
"For now?" Asuka began as she had a tone of anger in her voice. "Let's make it for life." Asuka said as she got up with a scowl on her face. "As far as I see it that psycho has nothing related to me." Asuka said as she was putting as much distance as she can with that thing. "Are we done here, It's late and I want to sleep." Asuka said and thus Misato nodded and gave Asuka her leave to go. With that Asuka left but she had a look that while showed strength also showed fear hidden away inside her.
(End Flashback)
Asuka laid in the bed as her mind tried to make sense of what she learned. She had a son… no there was a clone of her and Shinji running around. That's all it was, a screwed-up clone she had nothing to do with it and didn't have anything to do with it. That thing was just an aberration nothing else. That thing was not her responsibility and will never be hers.
The moment they don't need Kaiser anymore Asuka will personally put a bullet in that psycho clones head. It has blood on its hands so no one would care if another Ikari lab project were to be euthanized like the mad dog that it was. Asuka turned to her side her scowl ever present as she was upset for a good reason in her opinion.
If those two weren't needed for Kaiser Asuka would have done the deed herself. She was not related to that thing, she was not part of that psychotic pilot, and most of all she would not acknowledge it as from her DNA. Once the opportunity presented itself Asuka would put him down and forget him.
"I hate kids." Asuka said as she tried to get back to sleep. She needed all the rest she could get for the next battle when NERV Attacks.
(Scene Break the next day)
Misato stood in the hanger where Skull Pilder was kept as she had brought in two of their best pilots to try operating the Pilder. Ritsuko was adamant about cracking the secrets of Kaiser and Misato wanted to get Akira and Kuzo out of the battlefield. The leader of WILLE knew that the pair could pose a threat to allies just as much as their enemies. So, this test was being performed in order to achieve that goal in removing Akira and Kuzo.
Of course, Akira and Kuzo let it happen and were there watching as well. Apparently, they didn't seem bothered at Misato trying to replace them, but they also seemed sort of smug like they knew something she didn't. This worried Misato for good reason because she knew that whatever was going on the two were up to something. For the time being it was best to let the test run its course here.
"When this goes south don't say we didn't warn you." Kuzo said as they waited for the pair of pilots to step into the Skull Pilder. "Ready?" Ritsuko asked as they watched the pair in question. "Then begin the test." Ritsuko said and thus the pair proceeded to enter the Pilder.
"So, you think they'll be gorging their eyes out or shooting themselves?" Akira asked as this got Misato worried. The hatch closed on the Pilder as the pilots looked excited to get Kaiser away from Akira and Kuzo's insane hands.
The tested started out quiet oddly enough almost in an ominous silence. But then the silence was shattered by ear shattering screams of terror as they originated inside Skull Pilder. "Stop the test open the hatch!" Ritsuko called out and as soon as they did what they saw terrified those in witness.
The two pilots were screaming incoherent in their babbling as they were clawing their eyes and from the blood they were succeeding. "Restrain them and get them sedated now!" Misato yelled as soon guard moved in to restrain the two test pilots.
As this was happening Misato looked over to Akira and Kuzo in shock as Akira was sitting on a chair while Kuzo leaned against the wall. When Akira saw all the eyes on him, he simply shrugged to them and smirked.
"We did try to warn you." Akira said showing that he let them make their beds and lay in it.
(Meanwhile outside the Hanger bay)
Asuka was walking through the Wundur making her way to the hangar. She heard they were performing the test for alternative pilots for Kaiser. She had been delayed of course but she figured she'd arrive in time to see Akira and Kuzo being escorted off the ship when the test was a success.
This would not be what Asuka was hoping for. The doors opened and from it two gurney's were being rolled out. What Asuka hoped was Akira and Kuzo being on them but instead she was wide eyed when she saw two pilots on them. They were both being sedated and had been restrained while one had a bandage around his eye from here it had been gorged out and the other was screaming his head off like the insane man he had become.
This was not the scene Asuka had expected to find but it was, and she was shocked. 'What the fuck happened?!' Asuka mentally gasped as she thought this level of damage was only possible from the EVA units. Moving fast Asuka headed to the Hanger and saw crews giving Skull Pilder a large berth and Ayato and Kuzo a scared look. Whatever the Skull Pilder had done Asuka dared not even consider what else it could do to those other than Akira and Kuzo.
(Later with Misato and Ritsuko)
"This is a mess." Ritsuko said with a sigh of frustration. "How can a machine cause that to people?" Ritsuko asked as Misato heard this.
"Were they on anything prior to the test?" Misato asked trying to make sense of what she had just seen.
"No, we've tested them before and after they were clean." Ritsuko said confirming that this was all Kaiser's doing. "Captain you can't ignore the similarities Unit-01 had done things like this in the past but never to this level." Ritsuko said as her tone showed a hint of fear now.
"I know." Misato said as she crossed her arms trying to think of what to do. "What do you recommend?" Misato asked showing that she was open to ideas.
"Honestly speaking fly over the Merina Trench and dump Kaiser down there and pray the water pressure crushes it and sends it back to Hell where it belongs." Ritsuko said making it clear that any further work or experiments on Kaiser should be frozen indefinitely.
"But?" Misato trailed off knowing there was more from the scientist.
"But Kaiser is also a powerful advantage against NERV you've seen what it can do to their EVAs and the Nemesis Series." Ritsuko said as Misato saw what she meant. "But we can't deny it's a double-edged sword." Ritsuko said and thus they were in a loop.
"So, in other words as much as the crew may hate it, we need those two." Misato said as Akira and Kudo were the only ones capable of operating Kaiser without any backlash. "Worse part I think they know this fact as well." Misato added as it was a given with how they acted they had the advantage in any negotiation amongst WILLE.
"So, any news on the data Ayanami Eve provided?" Misato asked as she looked to Ritsuko seeking to change the subject.
"Yes, I have to admit it's a lot to go through that girl was thorough." Ritsuko said and while Eve looked like her, 'mother,' she was an effective agent.
"Alright, there will be a meeting tomorrow finish up before then." Misato said and thus with a nod Ritsuko got back to work. But as Misato left the room, she could not help but wonder, what sort of Devil did they let into the Wundur.
(The following day)
Misato was making her way through the halls to the Hanger where Unit-02, Mk. 8, Kaiser, and Wingle were stored. The EVA Units needed repairs and thankfully the first battle from Kaiser had yielded a great deal of spare parts to repair their red EVA Unit. Still with repairs ongoing Misato needed an update on certain matters. Particularly with their new recruits from the Skull trio.
She did not fail to notice that tensions were high amongst the crew. Akira had already proven himself a threat if provoked as did Kuzo. But seeing as they were the only ones capable of piloting Kaiser without going insane enough to claw out their eyes. That was not a pretty sight to see when Akira gave the ok to try and see if they can pilot Kaiser.
They had two men sit inside the Skull Pilder for no more then five seconds before they opened the hatch with screams of terror. One of them had already gorged out his eye and had to be restrained. His friend was not far behind. Thankfully, both had been sedated and Misato had ordered any further attempts to cross pilot Kaiser were to be shut down. This made Akira and Kuzo the only two viable pilots for the mech.
Misato now knew why they said they were the only ones who can pilot Kaiser. It was a warning to others, and this alone fueled the rumor mill about Kaiser. Next came Eve Ayanami the girl had provided for WILLE tactical information they can use against NERV which they needed to do very soon.
There was some good news however the woman of Hachiryokaku have agreed to aid them against NERV. It was not much though they only were able to send three pilots and three Psycho Gears. The pilots were of course Hurricane, Flash, and Misty. After WILLE had destroyed the NERV Base there they presented the offer to Hachiryokaku. But seeing as they needed to defend their region three was the most, that they could provide to WILLE without compromising their own defenses. This brought their number of active pilots from two all the way to eight total pilots. Thankfully since most of their units were robots, they weren't in violation of any UN Accords pertaining to that sort of fire power for them.
Soon enough Misato entered the meeting room and inside she found everyone who was meant to be there. Sakura had been voluntold to act as the trio's sitter while they were on the Wundur. Officially they were a part of WILLE but at the same time it was with heavy monitoring.
From the pilots Akira, Kuzo, Eve, Hurricane, Flash, Misty, Asuka, and Mari were gathered in the meeting room. It can be noted that the three Skull pilots were now dressed in WILLE's own uniform as opposed to before. From WILLE's own officers and techs was Ritsuko, Maya, Midori, Hideki, Shigeru, Makoto, Sakura, and of course Misato herself. They were all seated around the table as there was a display active for the meeting. Looking upon Asuka Misato had noted that Asuka had taken every chance to avoid Akira like hew as the plague. Seeing this it was clear that Asuka would not enjoy the mission they would undertake.
"Ok now that everyone has gathered, we may begin." Misato began as she joined the meeting. Midori was glaring spitefully at Akira and Eve as the boy didn't seem to care while Eve was focused on other things right now. "We've come into possession of tactical information in which we may act upon to use against NERV." Misato said and in turn she nodded to Eve.
"This information was gathered straight from varying NERV facility computers." Eve said as she presented the information to the group. "This location has been sighted as one of importance to NERV and their operations there." Eve said but had more to add. "The question is why, and the reason is here." Eve said before showing the data which showed to their shock pillars and human settlements.
"Home sweet home." Akira said as he remembered those places causing all to look at him in shock.
"With the data I have acquired I have confirmation that Ikari has allies in these areas who supply NERV with just about whatever it is they need and in return NERV supplies them with tools of their own." Eve said showing the data to them.
"Hold on!" Midori called out as she shot up glaring at Eve. "You honestly expect us to believe that humans are helping NERV why would anyone want to help NERV?!" Midori demanded as she glared at Eve not trusting her.
"Power of course." Kuzo said as he then nodded to Eve.
"What I'm about to show you is not for the faint of heart if anyone here has a weak stomach, I suggest you all leave the room or look away." Eve said her warning clear and after the incident with Kaiser everyone was nervous.
In turn what everyone saw was the stuff of nightmares. Even Mari was appalled by what she saw on the screen Eve projected. People humans in stages of suffering men being gunned down in the streets, chain saw wielding psychopaths walking around and grinding people to a bloody mess. They were even pictures of woman being rapped by those same people woman who were dead. No one in those images were safe, men, woman, young and old. Not even the children were spared of such horrors.
Midori looked away as Maya moved her hand to her mouth in an attempt to settle her stomach. Then when they saw people getting their limbs chopped off, stripped naked, and leashed by larger men the damn broke. Sakura cried out as she covered her eyes from the scenes while Shigeru ran to a trashcan and emptied out his breakfast.
"I thought I saw everything." Ritsuko said with a thousand-yard stare.
"Fuck." Mari cursed as she realized what this was and why Eve had warned them.
"How can this happen, why hasn't the UN done anything?!" Midori yelled as she wanted the truth now.
"Because of NERV." Eve said as she got the groups attention. "There are a total of three War Lords in this region all three of them sporting battle mechs and commanding EVA Units provided to them by NERV." Eve said explaining the situation to WILLE. "In exchange for Pillars and EVAs these War Lords take their own people and offer them up to NERV be is soldiers or even sacrifices towards an Impact event." Eve explained as she then sighed to this. "Some would argue its actually a more merciful fate." Eve said making it clear that they needed to step in on this battle.
"These Warlords." Misato began as she tried to settle her stomach of what she saw. "They're backing NERV and NERV is backing them right." Misato said as she saw what they needed to do.
"Yes, but due to how chaotic and violent this place is I promise you that there will be no allies assisting us down there." Eve said as she spoke from personal experience. "Everyone there is simply trying to survive, and they know that if you mess with the order of things then your life will be forfeit." Eve said explaining what they will be getting into. "Turning any would be rebel in gets you rewarded down there." She added as clearly justice was a foreign concept to those people. "The Warlords control this place with an iron fist to keep it this way." She finished and thus Misato snarled to this once her stomach had settled.
"Traitors to the human race." Misato said as that was how she saw it.
"No more like cowards." Asuka cut in but then Eve gave them the truth.
"No, it's worse than either of those." Eve said getting everyone's attention. "Their human beings. Humans who have abandoned all modern concepts and have reverted to their primal state." Eve said as this got everyone's attention. "They have reverted to their primal aspects for violence, conquest, and greed." Eve said as Asuka glared at her.
"Humans are not like that!" Maya snapped as she slammed her fist to the table. "those things are animals!" Maya added but Eve let it go.
"But we all started from somewhere humanity was not always advanced with technology violence is a natural human aspect one we act like we have outgrown but the beast the animal inside simply waits for a new way to express itself." Eve said making it clear that human nature was like that.
"Eve focus." Misato said as Eve nodded and got back on task.
"Yes, my apologies." Eve said getting back on track. "Now their fortresses house a NERV plant of sorts that constructs equipment and tools for NERV to use we take those out and we deal a severe blow to NERV." Eve said making it clear that they could stop this chaos.
"What do you propose." Ritsuko asked and thus Eve smirked to them.
"Isn't it obvious we infiltrate these locations shut down the factories and kill these warlords." Eve said but Sakura had some objections.
"Kill them?" Sakura asked as that was a bit extreme for her.
"Its what they deserve." Asuka said as even she found what she saw appalling. "If we put them on trial the Death Sentence is all that awaits them." Asuka said as she glared at the screen.
"I recommend the subtle approach we waist less resources and if we shut down their facilities, we stand to gain maximum reward for it." Eve said as her logic could be understood.
"What the boring way just so we can get NERV's tech for ourselves?" Akira asked as he preferred blowing shit up as appose to just turning it off.
"It is our best approach." Eve said as she glared at Akira knowing how he tends to get to sedate his obsessive need for violence. "Besides if they see the Wunder and her fleet they will not hesitate to attack on the spot or worse kill their own just to get at us." Eve said revealing how dangerous these people were and why they needed to be put down hard. "But I am not the commander and in turn the final call belongs to her." Eve said as she directed her attention over to Misato.
"That depends on what exactly we're dealing with." Misato said and thus Eve got down to detailing the expected opposition.
"The first Warlord out by the coast." Eve began as she displayed images of the warlord in question. When his image appeared Akira grinned at who he was seeing showing they had a history.
"Kiba." Akira said with a grin on his face. On the screen was a tan skinned man with a tattered cape, a gold crown, a scimitar, tight violet pants, and black boots. The image showed Kiba on a velvet throne with a scimitar surrounded by his woman.
"You know him?" Asuka asked almost accusingly as she glared at Akira for that.
"We go a while back yeah." Akira confirmed as he then grinned at the scene. "We meet each other and then try to kill each other." Akira said as Kuzo can even vouch for that.
"Yes, he his main thing is to take if anything he's more of a bandit but is more then a capable fighter after all he leads an army pillaging and raping anything and everyone around and in his territory." Eve said showing images and images of his war mech. "He normally keeps the woman alive for his men to toy with and they have their base set up here." Eve said displaying what looked to be an old military base now turned into a bandits den. There were even images of woman as prostitutes around the base in varying hairstyles.
Needless to say, the woman in the room did not like what they saw of this man. "Well, he's a real piece of work." Mari said upon seeing the man.
"Still, he and one other constantly come to odds over territory expansions." Eve said and thus they saw an image of a woman in what could only be described as a Dominatrix outfit. The men in the room into that sort of thing had to cover for thermal expansion. It was made worse that her breasts were all but exposed and were only covered by star shaped pasties. "Her name is Deathstar and yes, I know the name is from star wars." Eve said cutting Sakura off before she or anyone could mention it.
"She seems like a fun type." Mari quipped but then Eve cut in.
"For lack of better terms, she's brash and arrogant Kiba provides NERV with supplies stolen from Kredit, but Death Star basically provides materials for NERV to use." Eve explained showing what she had on this woman. "She and Kiba are constantly at odds so if we take one out the other will attempt move in." Eve said showing what she knew about them.
"So, she's an opportunist." Ritsuko said but Eve had more.
"And then some." Eve said before she continued on her. "Like Kiba she takes what she wants but unlike Kiba who rapes, and pillages Death Star burns and tortures especially those who disobey her." Eve said and thus this woman sounded dangerous like Kiba. "Her base is located here." Eve said displaying an abandoned prison complex where her followers were seen on the image.
"A prison had surprising." Asuka said with a sarcastic tone before Hideki spoke up.
"Ok that's two… whose number three?" Hideki asked sounding almost afraid of what he might hear from Eve.
"The final Warlord makes the other two pale in comparison." Eve said and in turn showed a giant of a man wearing samurai armor. But the most appalling part of him was the fact he had two people naked with their arms and legs replaced by pegs collared like pets with leashes of chains. The fact Akira and Kuzo were glaring spitefully at the man showed he was bad news. "This is the Slum King and for lack of better terms he has Gendo's ear." Eve said as Misato glared at the image of this man.
"What does he provide to NERV?" Midori asked as she saw the Slum King on screen.
"Recruits and soldiers." Eve said in a tone showing that it was plain and simple. "Basically, people are so terrified of him that they consider working for NERV the lesser of two evils." She added which made whatever the Slum King did to those in his territory all the more appalling. "His fortress is hidden away in the mountains here." Eve said displaying on the map the exact location of the Slum Kings base of operation.
"So Kiba steals from Kredit so taking him out will better secure our supply lines." Ritsuko said listing off what she knew. "Deathstar provides raw materials to NERV so taking her out will severely cripple NERV." Ritsuko continued with everyone paying attention to the doctor. "And this Slum King provides cannon fodder to NERV." Ritsuko finished as it was clear everyone here wanted to torture and kill the Slum King.
"Yes again, taking them out will deal a crippling blow to NERV." Eve repeated her earlier statement and in turn she looked to Misato. "Do we have your leave to proceed with this path?" Eve asked making it clear that she did not plan to undermine Misato on this situation.
Of course, after seeing those images and knowing that they were key allies to NERV Misato had made her choice. "Very well I will approve of such a mission." Misato said and in turn everyone nodded in understanding to this. "I'll have the helmsmen chart a course and then have an assault team move in on foot." Misato said as everyone nodded in understanding here.
"Right." Everyone responded before they moved on to the next part the strategy meeting. It would be a bit of time before they can device an effective plan of attack against these deranged animals.
(Later with Midori after the meeting)
In the hanger of the Wunder two members of the volunteer teams were doing some work on the equipment there. They had all begun to adjust to Kaiser and Wingle presence but not the pilots presence. "Are you ok?" Hideki Tama, one of the volunteers, placed in the position of engineer, but he knew little about the functioning of Wunder as a whole. He looked at Midori, who was eating a protein bar.
"Of course not!" Midori snapped as she glared at Hideki. "They expect us to work with that brats clone and a supposed blood relation of the Ayanami's." Midori growled as low and behold Akira and Kuzo were in the hanger with Akira relaxing in Skull Pilder and Kuzo working on his guns. The black-haired young man just rolled his eyes and leaned against the wall, sighing.
"You know, everyone here lost people because of Near Third Impact." Hideki said as he spoke to his coworker. "We are all angered by the fact that the one with the closest link to the one who caused all this is wearing our uniform as if he were one of us." Hideki said as he knew how emotional Midori can be.
"Of course, more so since he killed a few of our own already and he and his evil twin there get to join like nothing happened!" Midori snapped as she glared at her friend.
"In their defense… we attacked first twice already." Hideki said recalling what Maya tried to do to Akira via the rumors.
"How about the fact his mech mentally crippled some of our own." Midori said but Hideki had an answer for that.
"He did say only he and Kuzo could pilot Kaiser." Hideki said with a bored tone in his voice. "Look everyone has already made peace that they're working with us now and with Kaiser we might stand a chance." Hideki said which caused Midori to glare at her coworker.
"Well, maybe they didn't have any real drive or anger if they could move on and forgive that guy so easily." Midori snapped as she glared at her friend for such words.
"No one talked about forgiving, Midori. But Captain Katsuragi has a point we need them, and we need Kaiser." Hideki said as he tried to get his friend to calm down. "Especially now that he we're about to strike a huge blow against NERV." Hideki said and thus made sure his friend understood. "So, I don't think you should focus so much on the fact that he's here." Hideki said but Midori begged to differ on this.
"I can't do that. I simply can't." Midori said being honest about this. "Every time I think that the one who caused all this is on the same ship as me... I... I..." Midori trailed off trying to find the right words.
"You what?" Hideki asked his voice laced with concern.
"I don't know, I want to go to him and hang him with my own hands." Midori said but Hideki knew he had to stop this now.
"Stop talking nonsense." Hideki said getting Midori to understand. He then sighed heavily before walking away from the pink haired girl. "You're not going to do anything crazy. Right?" HE asked hoping she wasn't about to do something crazy.
"Right…" She mumbled, looking at the ground and running her hand through her hair, remembering the color she had before coming into contact with one of the monsters that boy created. Could she remain a part of WILLE and wake up every day knowing that bore his face and blood was here?
No… no she cannot. Thus, waiting for Hideki to leave Midori glared at Akira. They didn't need Kaiser they'll find someone to replace Akira preferably someone who would follow orders. This Midori began to make her way to Akira as she unclipped her side arm.
"Akira." Midori began as she eventually got to Akira.
"Yeah, what do you want pinkie I'm napping here." Akira asked only to find the barrel of a gun pointed at his forehead.
"This is for my family." Midori said cocking the guns hammer. But instead of fear what Midori got was a sadistic grin on Akira's face.
"Good." He said and the next thing she saw was him pulling his knife. A bang was heard echoing across the hanger and then chaos.
(Later with Asuka Misato's Office)
Asuka arrived in Misato's office as she was called in for a meeting. "You wanted to see me." Asuka said with a neutral respectful tone.
"Yes, it's about the mission." Misato said and thus knew not to beat around the bush. "You'll be taking part of the mission with the Skull pilots." Misato said making it clear what was happening.
"WHAT?!" Asuka yelled surprised that Misato was doing this now.
"Listen Asuka we can't afford any mistakes with this and with those three entering heavily hostile territory we can't risk those two going crazy in with possible civilians." Misato said making it clear they needed added insurance for their success. More so this may provide them a chance to save some lives in that chaos.
"But why me why not four eyes?" Asuka asked and thus Misato gestured to Asuka's eyepatch. "The Eyepatch apparently it's not uncommon out there." Misato said as she showed Misato several images of woman who were seeing wearing an eyepatch.
"So, what am I supposed to be their babysitter then?" Asuka asked with a glare at Misato.
"No but we do need someone who won't go berserk the moment they get offered a chance to fight." Misato said showing that this was to keep Akira and Kuzo both in check.
Asuka stood there for a moment before growling a bit. "If and when this goes south, I blame you." Asuka said but just then a WILLE soldier barged in.
"We have problem in the hanger!" The Soldier called out with a panicked look on his face.
(Later in the Hanger)
Midori was running for her life as she was holding her bloodied hand that held the gun she had earlier. She made a mistake a horrible mistake she underestimated Akira's reflexes when he pulled out his dagger. Now she had him on her tail no doubt to finish the job that he had started. She was about to get to the exit when Akira appeared in front of her and pinned her down to the ground.
Midori then saw Akira's dagger stab into the ground next to her causing her to go wide eyed in shock. "What's wrong Pinky didn't you want payback for your family?" Akira taunted as she grinned down at her.
"No please." Midori gasped as Akira seemed to lack self-control when it came to stuff like this.
Akira grinned as he pulled up his knife to stab Midori in the face. "How about I send you to them!" He called out and brought the knife down. Midori cried out as she closed her eyes in fear. But instead, she heard a whip crack and from it she dared to spare a look. She saw the knife was inches above her face before it was pulled back.
Looking to the source she saw that Eve had arrived and had her whip out. Akira's hand was restrained by it as Eve glared at Akira. "Akira!" Eve called as she held firm on her whip. "You've made your point, now stand down!" Eve demanded as Akira glared at his friend for stopping him.
"Come on Eve, she started it if she's willing to kill a guy she should be ready to be killed." Akira said making it clear he was just giving back what Midori tried to give to him.
"She's had enough." Eve said before yanking and thus forcing Akira to get off Midori.
"What is going on here!?" Misato was heard as soon enough she, Asuka, and now Ritsuko had entered the hanger.
"This psychopath tried to kill me!" Midori yelled as she held her bloodied hand as evidence.
"Only because you pulled a gun on him." Eve said sternly as she stood straight despite her whip was currently loose at the moment. "Unprovoked if I might add." Eve said as Misato then glared at Midori for this.
"Is this true?" Misato asked wanting to get the facts.
"Are you serious?" Midori asked almost offended by this. "How can you just let him roam around like this?" Midori asked almost accusing Misato here. "It's only a matter of time before he finished what the Ikari brat started!" Midori yelled and thus that was all the evidence Misato needed as the security detail arrived.
"Have Midori here get her hand patched up and then take her to the brig to cool off." Misato ordered and thus the guards nodded and took Midori by her arms.
"Stop you can't do this he'll kill us all you know he will!" Midori yelled as the security team away dragged her. At the same time Kuzo arrived and smirked at the scene as he leaned against the wall.
"Well since that's all handled, I'm taking my nap again." Akira said as he swore, he just got cockblocked by Eve and Misato.
"Not so fast." Misato said as this caused Akira to stop in his tracks. "What you initially was self-defense, and no one can fault you for that but escalating things as you did you can be faulted." Misato began as she glared at Akira. "So, if you ever do something like that again I'll personally make sure your in chains." Misato said and in turn Akira looked to her.
He then smirked as Misato knew what that meant. "Goodluck." Akira said before he took his leave to take his nap.
"Impressive." Eve began as she saw Akira left. "He's holding himself back he must like you guys." Eve with her arms crossed and a smirk currently adorning her face.
"Oh, what gives off that impression?" Misato asked as she glared at Eve for her quip.
"Normally he would have cut her hand off and then slit her throat." Eve revealed causing Misato to go wide eyed at Rei's alleged daughter.
"I don't see how that is any more comforting." Misato said as she ignored looking at Eve for the time being.
"It's not supposed to be, but when the only thing you can count on for survival is distrust and self-serving words it's give you a bit of insight of his mind." Eve said as she then did a small salute to Misato before leaving. Misato simply stood there for a moment and when Eve left, she spared a glance to where Akira left. Perhaps in a different place in a different time… no best not to think about it. They had a mission that needed to be their main focus. Once they kill off these animals out then humanity can finally retake their stolen planet from NERV.
(Meanwhile Behind the Gates of Guf)
Inside the Gates of Guf reality was constantly in flux. It was a place where everything was impossible, and nothing was impossible. It was called many things and seen as many thing but for the young man who destroyed the world… it was retribution. Shinji Ikari sat by himself inside the entry plug of his EVA Unit-01 just sitting there as around his screen books formed from nothing allowing for Shinji to read them. He had a lot of time on his hands after all.
In this place he does not grow hungry, thirsty, or even tired. He simply was in a perpetual state of now. HE had discovered this power ages ago right after he and the EVA had been launched into space. IT was for the best to keep this power out of human reach but more then that Shinji had ensured this power would never be used by anyone man or otherwise.
Around him his Entry Plug displayed what his EVA saw and outside was a world of white with cubes floating about. Inside the cubes were Kanji with a variety of meanings that signaled what could be inside each glowing cube. He just kept reading passing the time in anyway he could less he loses his mind from all this isolation.
"It's for the best, they'll be safe like this." Shinji said a repeated mantra to remind himself not to leave this place less those he cares for suffer for it. "I've caused them enough pain they deserve better." He said again as he had said this mantra every time, he even considered leaving this prison.
Unit-01 must not fall into anyone's hands NERV, WILLE, or any human for that matter. After Shinji had rescued Asuka, he made no delay to return here because he knew if he stayed near her, he'd never be able to return to this self-made prison.

ESKK: Yes, this was a filler chapter, sue me. Ok I'm assuming anyone familiar with Go Nagai's works will recognize some of the characters mentioned here. Death Star originated from Cutie Honey series and Slum King originated from Violence Jack. As you can see this is the manga version of him and I am so looking forward to snuffing this monstrous bastard out soon. Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed it and will join me for the next one.
