"Hey, pass me the Pinot." Bo asked Kenzi. "And the machete."

"Okay, intervention time." Kenzi said as she poured the Pinot in Bo's glass. "Does this not seem wrong to you? Three incredibly sexy, hot girls sitting at home waxing their weapons on a Friday night?"

"Nope. But something about that sentence makes me horny." Bo chuckled.

"Me, too."

"Me, three." Dani sighed.

"Wouldn't you rather be, uh, waxing Mr. Dyson's sword tonight?" Kenzi looked over at Dani.

"Dyson is working late. And we haven't really talked about our relationship. Whatever that may be." Dani answered. "I know you're okay with the idea of Dyson and Dani," She turned to Bo. "But it still feels slightly awkward."

"Hmm, give me the 6-inch." Bo asked Kenzi.

"Honey, if I could give you the 6-inch, all our problems would be solved." Kenzi handed her the knife.

"Ha ha, don't flatter yourself." Bo chuckled. She threw her knife at the mannequin and it landed in its chest.

"Look, all I'm saying DeeDee is that you need to seize the moment." Kenzi told the Banshee. "Just go for it."

"I'm all for seizing the moment but…"

"What?"

"I've never dated a Fae." Kenzi missed her target.

"You're kidding, right?" Bo asked in disbelief.

"All my life I've been told that Faes couldn't be trusted." Dani shrugged and placed herself in front of the mannequin. "And there wasn't much of them in my life. So, the only guys I've ever dated were humans. Plus, there's no rush, right? I can take it slow." She aimed the mannequin. "Make it less awkward." She threw her knife and it hit its mark.

"You do that." Bo said going next. "But fae or humans, it's pretty much the same."

"Maybe." Dani said. "But why can't it be easy?"

"Let's face it, Dan, the dating scene is killer." Bo threw her knife and hit her target.

A new client came their way. A young blonde woman who lost her sister to suicide. Well, that was what the police believed it to be. But she thought otherwise.

"No way was it a suicide." She said. Bo and Kenzi sitting across her. Dani sat by the window next to her. "Sorry, but that's total bullshit. My sister would not kill herself. And all that junk they say she wrote on the wall—'Whore,' 'slut'"

"It doesn't sound like her?" Bo asked.

"No. She was a strong person." She replied.

"Well, did she ever show any signs of depression?" Bo questioned the woman.

"I mean, she was human. She had her bad days." She explained.

"What about the day she died?" Kenzi asked.

"That's the thing. We live together." The blonde retorted. "Her last voice mail told me not to rush home, that she'd met a great guy and she was feeling optimistic." She turned to her bag and pulled out one of their flyers. "Your flyers say that you only take cases that no one else will believe. Well, the cops have already ruled this a suicide. I need you to help me prove them wrong."

As she had said to her friends, she and Dyson hadn't talked about the nature of the relationship. To be completely honest, they hadn't talked. Not that she didn't want to. Although, Bo assured she was fine with Dyson and Danielle dating, the Banshee didn't seize the opportunity to speak with Dyson.

However, with this new case, she didn't really have another choice but to speak to him. As a matter of fact, Kenzi and Bo volunteered her to speak to the Shapeshifter. So, Danielle had called him. Explained to him what it was that they wanted before they joined him at the station.

"Don't get your hopes up on this one." Dyson retorted. "I worked it myself. It's pretty clean."

"You sure it wasn't some kind of homicide?" Danielle asked him.

"Well, not judging by this." He opened the file and showed them picture of the fried hairdryer. "Had to pry it from her hands postmortem. She cracked the shaft with her muscle spasms…"

"Shaft." Kenzi chuckled.

"Which means it didn't just fall in the water." Dyson continued as if Kenzi hadn't said anything. "She held it under."

"Couldn't somebody have forced her hand?" Bo asked him as they followed him to his desk.

"Uh, without getting deep-fried themselves?" Kenzi said.

"There was no sign of physical force." Dyson retorted.

"Come on, Shapeshifter, some people have other ways to commit crimes. You and I know that better than anyone." Danielle told him.

Dyson dropped the file on his desk before sitting on it, facing Danielle. "Theoretically, yes, it could have been a fae kill. You're right."

"Am I, now?" Danielle smirked at him.

Dyson chuckled softly. "But this has been ruled a suicide. The humans are happy. And I can't do much more with normal police resources without raising flags."

"So, you're cutting us off?" Bo asked him.

"Look, I would love to help you, but the most I can do is give my stuff to the Fae labs." Dyson replied to Bo. "That means you have to talk to Lauren."

Bo sighed. "Come with me."

"No." Kenzi said and Danielle shook her head. "No, that is just way too awkward without beer." Kenzi slapped Bo on the butt. "You're on your own, sista."

"Dan?" Bo turned to the Banshee.

"No. I've already talked to her and it was awkward." Dani shook her head. "Now, it's your turn."

"Great." She muttered dejectedly.

"Shapeshifter." Dani nodded at Dyson.

"Banshee." He smiled at her.

Dani started to follow Bo and Kenzi but she turned back to him. "You were right, I was making things complicated. When they were pretty simple." She smiled softly. "I just wanted you to know." She took a deep breath. "Alright, I'm…I'm gonna go."

"Wanna grab a drink later?" Dyson asked her.

"Yeah." Dani smiled at him. "I would like that."

Bo dropped her two friends at the Dal before going to the Fae labs. Danielle had seen the missed calls or rather the unanswered calls. It was understandable, Lauren did get her in bed to distract her. She was acting under the Ash's orders. Nevertheless, Bo needed to talk to Lauren. To at least tell her how she felt about this relationship that ended before it even started.

"Hey, Trick." Dani sat at the bar.

"Hit us with some hooch, T-Bag." Kenzi sat next to her. He only gave her a deadpan look. "T-Dawg?" Still no answer from Trick. "Please, sir, may we have some beverage?" She said in a cockney accent.

Danielle chuckled as Trick sighed. "Here." He placed a bottle and two shot glasses in front of the girls. "Help yourself. I'm busy."

"Oh, my god. It's like Christmas." Kenzi squealed helping herself and pouring some for Danielle.

They clinked their glasses before downing their drinks in one shot. "Fitzpatrick MacCorieghan of clan Fin Arvin!"

Kenzi and Danielle glanced at each other before turning their eyes to the newcomer. "Uh, oh, trouble in the Shire?" Danielle heard Kenzi whispered.

It was a man of small stature wearing a long grey coat. "This is your 24-hour warning, Fitzpatrick."

"Fitzpatrick?" Kenzi and Danielle repeated quietly to Trick.

"Midnight tomorrow, I reclaim possession of the coin." The man continued.

"I know what day it is, Valentine." Trick retorted tightly.

"Good." Danielle and Kenzi remained quiet as they watched the scene unfold. As if they were watching a movie. "I'll see you tomorrow the, to take back what's mine." He started walking towards the bar. "Unless, of course, you'd like to hand it over now."

"Unless you'd like to lose your hand," Trick slammed his hand of the small chest that was sitting on the bar. Small chest that Danielle was only noticing now. "I suggest you step back until invited."

"Fair enough." Valentine backed away from the bar. "Midnight then. And don't be late. You know the consequences." He nodded at Danielle and Kenzi before leaving.

"What the Fae was that?" Kenzi poured another drink for herself.

"Mind your business." Trick told her.

"Oh, come on, Trick. Tell us, what was all that about?" Danielle asked him.

"Two words." Bo appeared next to them. "Lauren…Kiss-my-ass." She downed Kenzi's drink in one go.

"That's actually four." Danielle pointed out.

"Not if you put the hyphens in that last one." Bo countered. "Let's go." She grabbed Kenzi's hand.

"No, I wanna ask Trick something." Kenzi refused to follow the Succubus.

"Come on. We're already late meeting Collette." Bo reminded her. "Allison had sex before she died, and I want to know with who."

"But we need to know…" Danielle agreed with Kenzi. She too was curious about this coin business.

"Come on." Bo pulled both of them away from the bar.

"Little guy…Big mouth…Must…Know!" Kenzi struggled to get out of Bo's grip on her wrist.

"Did your sister say anything else about that nice guy she met that night?" Bo asked Collette as Danielle was looking around.

"No, nothing. I wish she had." Collette scoffed. "Sorry. It's strange talking about her in the past tense like this."

Danielle quickly glanced at her. "Yeah. We can handle this, Collette, if it's too much for you." Bo said softly.

"Yeah, I think I might grab some air." Collette nodded.

"Okay." Dani walked towards the bookshelves.

"These were Alli's." Collette said giving a set of keys to Bo. "You can have them. Just lock up when you're done."

"Anything upstairs?" She heard Bo asked Kenzi.

"Uh, just a fancy gitch collection. I'd say milady was single and ready to crotch mingle." Kenzi answered.

"Oh, Kenzi. You have the soul of a poet." Bo commented jokingly.

"I know this."

"Well, Allison was sentimental." Danielle said. "Her bookshelves are full of it. 'The Gigantic Romantic,' 'Don't let love go, or love will let go of you.'" She read a few titles.

"Actually, I bought this one too." Bo said. "Looks like that's something we had in common—Looking for love in all the wrong places."

"Is that your way of saying 'anal?'" Kenzi frowned at her. Dani couldn't help but snort at this.

Bo chuckled as she sat down in the couch. "Hey, check this out." She called out to them. There was a bowl filled with matchbooks. "Matchbooks from Crimson, a local bar. Looks like she's been there a lot."

"Recently, check these." Kenzi walked up to them. "Credit charges from Crimson. The last three Fridays. All signed by Allison."

"Well, TGIF." Bo said. "Feel like going for a drink?"

This wasn't the kind of bar she was used too. The Dal was calmer in comparison. And some nights, Danielle felt as though it was too crowded. But the Crimson was much more crowded and she hated as soon as she stepped inside. Too much lights, the music was too loud, too many people. She hated it.

"Set phasers to 'douche'" Kenzi said as they looked around. "There is way too much gel and chest waxing in this place."

"Ladies." A photographer came their way. He took their picture, the flash of the camera slightly blinding them. "You look great." He handed Bo a card.

"Check it. Now you can actually go online and look at photos of yourself having fun while you're still having it." Bo told them. "What is that, paparazzi for clubbers?"

"Everybody wants to be famous. It's the new world order." Kenzi retorted. "Lame-o."

"Would you look at that?" Danielle showed them a sign. That was about a private event. "Every Friday."

"Sounds promising." Kenzi said.

"Yeah." Bo quickly said as she walked to it. Kenzi and Danielle in tow.

They arrived in another part of Crimson. That was much calmer, less colorful that where they came from. They were a few people sitting at tables. Talking among themselves.

"Oh, wow. Hello, ladies." A man in a grey suit came up to them. "So glad you could join us." He took Bo by the hand and pulled her towards the desk. "If you could just take your name tags right over here, we'll be starting in a jiffy. Tonight's sharing topic is, well, 'my favorite memory, my biggest regret.' In two-minute rounds or less. Okay? So, everyone, please, please, enjoy yourself." And he left them.

"Two-minute rounds or less?" Danielle frowned up. "What was he talking about?"

"Speed dating." Bo answered.

Danielle and Kenzi glanced at each other at once. "Oh, hell no." They both said before starting to leave together.

"Oh, no, no, no. Easy slim." Bo pulled them back. "Think of it this way—we question these dudes a minute at a time. We're outta here in fifteen."

"Oh, man." Dani moaned.

The three of them chose three empty tables that were next to each other. And the rounds started. The men that sat across Dani weren't that bad looking. But she didn't find their questions really smart. The theme wasn't that appealing either. But that didn't matter. She wasn't looking for a hook up. She was looking for answers regarding Allison and what she was doing on Friday nights. The people she may have met or not.

She must have sound like a weirdo. Always bringing the conversation back to Allison but the guys didn't seem to mind. Neither did she care. But this all came to a stop when she witnessed Bo being kissed and fed on by another Succubus.

They quickly followed the new Succubus in the back alley.

"Hey!" Bo called after her. "Hey, I want to talk to you!"

"You know, I'm new in town." The lady turned around to face Bo. "And I really wasn't planning on a turf war right out of the gate. So, if this is your place, it was just plain rude of you not to mark your territory."

"What, like, pee on it?" Kenzi asked.

"I don't know how to mark things. I don't know anything." Bo told her. "You're the only other Succubus I have ever met."

She chuckled. "What? How is that even possible?"

"It's a long story." Bo said. "Can I buy you a beer and tell you all about it?"

They went back into the bar. In the filled music part of it. The one that Danielle hated. The Succubus they just met was Saskia. New in town.

"This is kind of a boring little town." Saskia said. "We usually gravitate to someplace sexier. We're big in Berlin. You should come with me sometime. I'll introduce you around."

"Yeah, I would love that." Bo put down her drink. "So, uh…how long you're gonna be in town?"

"I don't know. I usually travel around a bit." Saskia answered. "I set up a few regulars—some sugar daddies in every port and all that, and then I just move around, have fun with it."

"Traveling courtesan, huh?" Bo retorted. "That's your business?"

"And business is naughty, thank god." Saskia sat back. "So, what's your line? Call girl, stripper, wife?"

"Uh…Private investigator, actually." Kenzi for their friend.

"Pardon?"

"I, um…I rent out my persuasion services to people who need help finding loved ones, getting back stolen goods, that kind of thing." Bo explained.

"You work?" Saskia asked and then laughed. In a way that didn't please Danielle. "Oh, honey. Succubi don't work. I have so much to teach you."

"Wow. Look at the time." Kenzi intervened. "We probably should go, right?"

"Yes. I second the motion." Danielle agreed.

"Yeah, um, I'm gonna stay a bit longer and pick up her brain." Bo handed them the car keys. "So, if you're cool taking the car, I'll grab a cab, okay?"

"Super cool." Kenzi replied.

"Yeah, totally cool." Danielle nodded at Bo.

"Cool."

"So not cool." Kenzi said leaning on the bar.

"So totally not cool." Danielle repeated sitting next to her. They were both at the Dal. Drinking their sorrow away.

"What?" Trick asked them absent-mindedly.

"Are you listening to us?" Kenzi asked him.

"No, Kenzi. Shocking news from Galileo, you're not actually the center of the universe." Trick said back.

"Hey!" Danielle exclaimed. "If you didn't want to talk, you could have just said it. You didn't have to burn us like that."

"First Bo and now you. That's—that's great." Kenzi continued. "You know what? Next person that wants to crap on us can find us at home."

Kenzi and Danielle stood up and were about to leave the bar. "Wait, wait, wait." Trick stopped them both. "Look, I'm really sorry. I'm under a lot of pressure right now, but that's no excuse."

"Thanks." Kenzi nodded.

"Apology accepted." Danielle said.

"Actually, I could really use your help right now." Trick said.

"What can we do for you?" Danielle asked him.

"Actually, I meant Kenzi's help." Trick turned to Kenzi. "Specifically, you."

Danielle smiled looking at her best friend. "Do tell." Kenzi smiled at Trick.

"Not here. Downstairs."

"I'll wait for you by the bar." Danielle smiled at Kenzi.

Bo hadn't come home, yet. It was just Kenzi and Danielle at the crackshack. They changed into pjs and lied down next to each other on Danielle's bed.

"So, basically he needs you to speak to a fae for him?" Danielle said. "All of this for a coin."

"Yep." Kenzi sighed. "Hey, are you jealous sometimes?"

"Jealous of what?" Danielle shifted position so she could face the human girl.

"Me and Bo?" Kenzi faced her on.

"I might have been. A little bit. In the beginning." Danielle shrugged.

"Not anymore?"

"Well, I figured that Bo needed you. As much as I do." Danielle smiled at her. "See, the thing is, you, Kenzi, can make us feel normal and special at the same time. And we love you for it." She threw her arm around Kenzi.

"You're so cheesy." Kenzi scoffed.

"And you love it." Danielle giggled. "Are you jealous of Saskia?"

"And you are not?"

"It's not that I am. I just…don't like her." Danielle tried to explain. "There's something about her that doesn't sit well with me."

"What?"

"I don't know."

Both friends had fallen asleep in the same bed. But they were awakened hours later when Bo came home. She wasn't alone. Saskia was with her.

"So, if you guys do it, will you like create a black hole or cancel each other out or something?" Kenzi asked as Danielle yawned next to her.

"Actually, I'm not all that attracted to my own kind." Saskia said. "I'm more of a novelty whore." Kenzo scoffed. "You know, I should be going." She set her glass down. "I'll see you at Collette's tomorrow?"

"Yeah. Sounds good." Saskia left and Bo looked at them annoyed with her two best friends.

"Why are you talking to her about the case?" Kenzi asked Bo. "Hello? She could be involved."

"Yeah, I've already thought about that, Sherlock." Bo retorted. "I'm not an idiot. But I know a succubus kill when I see one, and that is not how Allison died." Bo explained. "Also, she had hetero sex that night. Saskia isn't exactly a dangler."

"Well, I wouldn't be so sure." Kenzi countered. "Besides, I think you're just hanging out with her for the succubus contact high."

"Well, is that really so bad?" Bo asked back. "I mean, she's the only one of my kind that I have ever met. I just want to see where this goes. But if you want me to keep my distance…"

Dani sighed. "Don't be ridiculous. We understand. It's just that…we worry about you. We just wantyou to be careful, okay?"

"Okay." Bo smiled at them. "That is why I love you two so much." She put her arms around her best friends. "Now, I'm gonna hit the hay. Saskia and I are going to talk to Collette in the morning. Good night." And she left them both in the kitchen.

"Did she say 'Saskia and I?'" Dani frowned. Kenzi only scoffed.

"You and Trick have this ceremony going on. Bo is flying solo with Saskia. So, what am I supposed to do all day?" Danielle complained to Kenzi.

"No idea but you have all day to figure it out." Kenzi shrugged and slapped her on the butt on her way out. "Later-z."

She pouted. "I supposed that's how it feels like to be left out of the loop."

That was her punishment for keeping them in the dark about her mother. Although, none of them were keeping her in the dark. As the neat freak that she was, she started cleaning around the clubhouse. All the while thinking about her relationship with Dyson. She wanted to take it further. He suggested that they should grab a drink. But he hadn't called the day before…

"Hey, D-girl. I see you got yourself busy." Kenzi walked in.

"What did you think? That the place cleans itself?" Danielle countered.

"Neat freak."

"I'll take that as a compliment." Danielle stopped her scrubbing as Kenzi sat at the kitchen counter. "So, how did it go?"

"Nothing happened yet." Kenzi said. "I'm going back later to get him an egg."

"An egg?"

"Yeah, from a Lightning Bird. Apparently, it'll tell Trick where his coin has disappeared."

"Now, I see why he needed you." Danielle nodded.

"What about you? Did anything fun-worthy?" Kenzi leaned on the counter.

"I have been thinking about Dyson." Danielle told her.

"Oh my god! You are so in love." Kenzi squealed.

"I wouldn't call it love but…yesterday, he suggested that we could grab a drink and nothing." Danielle explained. "So, I was thinking that I should probably give him a call and…you know. Do you think I should do it?"

"DeeDee," Kenzi grabbed her hands. "Stop wasting your time, man. Live in the moment. You want to call him, then do. You didn't do anything because you didn't want to hurt Bo. But Bo is okay with it, she gave you the greenlight. And you're still waiting. Why?"

"I don't know. It's just…"

"Dani, listen to me, I know that relationships are a big scary thing for you." Kenzi walked around the counter and put her arms around the Banshee. "It always has been. But I really think that you and Lover Wolf would be great together. Just give it a chance."

"So, I should call him?" Danielle looked at her friend.

Kenzi nodded. "Alright, I need to gather some stuff before going back to the Dal. And you…"

"Call Dyson." She nodded.

"Banshee." Dyson greeted her on the phone. "To what do I owe the pleasure?"

"Shapeshifter." Danielle greeted back. "So, I know you're working late but I'll be at the Dal, later. Maybe you could meet me there, so, we could have this drink. First round on me. What do you say?"

She could hear Dyson's smile when he spoke. "Sounds like a plan."

"Great. See you there."

"See you there."

"Wow. Go, you." She heard Saskia said as she stepped in the living room. "Okay. So, what's next? We know what we're looking for, but how do we find them?"

"Well, we know Allison hooked up with someone the night that she died." Bo said. "It doesn't look like it was any of the speed daters."

"What if she met her killer on her way home from speed dating?" Kenzi suggested.

Danielle walked towards Bo, as she continued. "She had to go through the main bar on her way out, like we did. Maybe she met the nice guy, then."

"Yeah." Bo turned to Kenzi. "You still have that photographer's card from the club?"

"Of course. Hang on." Kenzi pulled the card out and walked to the laptop.

"So, what exactly are we looking for?" Saskia asked as they all huddled around Kenzi.

"Club candids from the night that Allison died." Bo explained. "See if we can put her with any faces from the man bar."

"This is kind of exciting. Maybe I should get a hobby." Saskia commented excitedly.

"See, I'm converting you." Bo lightly pushed her.

"Not if I convert you first." Saskia lightly slapped her on the shoulder.

Kenzi and Danielle just rolled their eyes at their interaction. There might be some jealousy involved on their part.

Bo chuckled. "Hey, there she is." A picture of Allison appeared on the screen.

"Yeah, but who's Captain Handsome?" Kenzi asked as Allison wasn't alone in the picture. A man was standing next to her.

"Oh. Oh, I recognize him. He's this total pickup artist." Saskia said. "He hits on lonely women at the end of the night. He usually comes in around last call."

"Gives us just enough time." Bo said. "You two are coming with?"

"No, my dance card is full." Kenzi stood up. "But, you know, don't wait up."

"I made plans with Dyson. So, you two enjoy yourself and wish me luck." Danielle said following Kenzi out of their loft.

As soon as she arrived at the Dal, Trick greeted her quickly before disappearing downstairs with Kenzi. She ordered a beer and sat at the bar. It was probably better than sitting home doing nothing or listening to Saskia and Bo flirting with each other. There were animations here, people coming to her to make conversation. Sure, she didn't like crowded places but she felt comfortable at the Dal. Like she finally belonged in this world.

She understood Bo's desire to spend as much time as she could with Saskia. Saskia was the only other Succubus she had met so far, that Dani or Kenzi had met. The one that could tell and teach Bo everything she wanted to know. She understood. But there was something about Saskia that unsettled her. Something that she couldn't really point out. It bothered her greatly.

"How long have you been waiting?" Dyson sat down next to her.

"Not very long." Dani put down her beer. "Actually, I wasn't expecting you so soon. I thought you were working late?"

"Not tonight." Dyson leaned back in the couch.

"Good." Dani nodded. Nothing was said between them. Dani looked down at her lap and Dyson smiled amusingly as he was looking at her. "Stop."

"What?"

"Looking at me like that." Danielle said softly. "With that stupid smile of yours."

"I thought you loved that smile." Dyson tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.

"Not really." Danielle shook her head playfully. "It's not all that special."

"Is that why you called? Because it's not all that special?" Dyson asked.

"No. I called because I wanted to give us a chance." Danielle answered. The playfulness gone from her voice. "My best friends once told me that I should seize the moment. So, I'm seizing the moment. Which is not something I usually do."

"I find that hard to believe." Dyson smiled.

Dani snorted. "Don't make fun of me."

Dyson raised his hands in a surrender manner. "How about you and I seize the moment together?"

"I'm listening." Dani leaned into him.

Dyson pushed his door open. Dani and he stumbled in, both locked at the lips.

"I don't usually do this." Dani said breathless between two kisses.

"There's something else you're doing." Dyson pulled off her jacket.

"What?" Dani kissed his neck while opening his shirt.

"Talking."

"I'm a Banshee, Dyson." From her neck down to her stomach, Dyson left a trail of fiery kisses. "I don't talk. I scream."

As soon as they hit the bed, Dyson slowed the pace slightly. He seemed to be in a hurry to take off her clothes. And once the clothes were out of the way. He took his time. Focusing on every single second, spent it on every sensation, every touch, every taste.

Bo said humans or faes, it was pretty much the same. Well, no, it wasn't. Not at all. It was far from being the same. In her previous relationship, the sex was good. Some of the times it was a miss. Most of the times it was a hit. But in comparison, it was a yawn fest. With Dyson, it was more intense, passionate. Was it because of her feelings for him or because he was Fae? She wouldn't know. What she knew was that she was stuck halfway between a panic attack and rolling around like a cat in heat. It was intoxicating.

Dyson was as overwhelmed as she was. Her scent was taking all of his senses. Intoxicating him. His heart was racing, hitting his ribcage. It was intense for him as it was for her. He had never felt this way for another one. Not even with Bo. And she was a Succubus. But he wasn't thinking about Bo. When he was with her, he never thought about Bo. He only thought about her. In the past few weeks, he found himself thinking about her more and more. Even when he was with Bo. He felt guilt when he slept with the Succubus. He hadn't realized how much he had wanted the Banshee before that kiss. And he wanted her more since the kiss. And now that he had her, he had no intention to let her go.

She woke up abruptly, sitting up in the dark room and looked around. Dyson was no longer in the bed with her. She called him a few times but her calls remained unanswered. The rumpled sheets pooled around her. She slid off the bed, she turned on the light and found his dark shirt on the floor and put it on.

A light from the kitchen came on suddenly. She knew it wasn't Dyson. And yet, she called his name. She warily made her way towards the light. The kitchen was empty. The light was on but the room was empty.

"Where are you going?" Dani turned around but there was no one. "Why you're resisting? You're my daughter." The voice wasn't her mother's. Although, she knew that voice, she recognized it. And before she knew it, she was chocking. Struggling against the invisible hands that were strangling her.

She sprung up, breathing heavily. Her hands shot up to her throat. Dyson rushed into the loft.

"Hey, hey." He sat on the bed; his hand went up to her face. His eyes quickly roamed her face. "What's wrong? I heard you screaming."

"Someone was chocking me." Dani rested her hands on his arm.

He brushed her hair away from her face. "Dani, there's no one here. Just you and me. It was just a bad dream." He reassured her.

"It wasn't." Dani shook her head. "This…this was a premonition."

"About what?"

"Aife." Dani frowned. "Who the hell is Aife?"
