Sandstorm over Remnant
Nation Breaker
"… to continue the legacy left by the previous headmaster, Ozpin. We thank all of you who returned to this academy, today we show the world that even if we have stumbled in the past we are still a Beacon of hope for Vale and mankind" it was certainly a powerful speech Six thought to himself.
Evoking the past but also laying out the plans for the future. Headmistress Glynda would succeed as leader of Beacon of that he was sure, Six nodded content with sitting on his chair to the side of the multiple teachers and other political figures that he quite honestly did not care enough to remember now. Atlas had sent some guards but to his disappointment no Winter, but it was fine he guessed "Not like I need to be attached at the hip with her or anything" shaking his head with a smile he waited for Glynda to re-introduce some of the key figures that would run Beacon and how their roles ahd changed, what date classes would pick-up again and what to expect.
Six looked around and he did spot Weiss and Ruby but sadly not Yang nor Blake, he could not blame the two. One lost an arm and the other according to some intel he had gotten from the security cameras around seemed to be determined on a mission of her own, so some shuffling of the teams was going to be needed in order for this to work but he would leave that to the ones that actually knew about academics.
Six heard his name and looked towards Glynda "… if not for the generous donations and land provided by RobCo we would not be here today. Please Mr. Six the time is yours" nodding he walked over to the podium and smiled at the crowd. Dressed in riot gear armor, his red eye glowed down at the students "Welcome to New Beacon, we thank you all for being here. Now I don't think I can give a speech that can surpass the one that our Headmistress just gave so I wanted to take this time to answer some of the questions that you might have about the building, security and all that good stuff"
Six scanned the area as he watched with curiosity, who would be the one to break the ice? A familiar face raised his hand making Six smile "Ah Mr. Arc a pleasure to see you again, what do you want to know?"-"one of our teammates is still suffering some ermm… medical complications… is the infirmary up and running?"
A glimpse of red could be seen near him, Pyrrah "Yes, up and running with the latest of technological marvels that we can offer… your friend is going to be just fine with us, trust me" Jaune could not tell if he had winked or blinked because of the eyepatch but he did nod at him, making Six look for other raised hands. Basic questions followed and Six answered them in quick succession but one hand did make him raise an eyebrow, scarred all over but with a defiant glare Cardin Winchester waited patiently for his question to be answered.
Six saw how Ruby and the others looked at him with disdain, even a form of anger. But why not? He had answered all of the vanilla questions already "Yes, you. The ginger one"
"When do we take revenge?" a simple question, one that he could have just grinned and said something along the lines of 'soon' but as everyone looked at Cardin and then at him for an answer Six motioned for him to elaborate "My team died, we fought to protect the city and the school and now I am the only one that is left. My family we fought a long and bloody war… and you know what after every lost battle, we took our revenge. So I want YOU to look at me in the EYES AND TELL ME! When do I get back at those things?! When do I get to avenge what I lost?! When do we take the war to them?"
Loud, booming, decisive and best of all angry at the world. A perfect soldier "War… it makes a strong man weak and poor man rich" Six said as he looked at him "The difference comes to character, and if you don't think character is the only factor deciding victory then you have been playing the wrong game, this whole time. My home was playing the wrong game and they found out what it meant to be found faulty of character and for their failure… my people paid the price. Now out there a horde of creatures are waiting for us to break, do we let our rage take over?"
Cardin tightened his fist and shook his head "Exactly, we can't let them see our weakness. Not when the wounds are still bleeding, but when I look at you; at ALL of you I see character, warriors and heroes that did not break when the going got though. That character that I was talking about? I can see it in every one of you here, you don't just carry your legacy here, you carry our future with you. Some might see wasted potential… I see a fire wanting to burn brighter than ever before! Don't forget you're the A team and that war that you all want we are not going to just beat the beasts back, we're going to eradicate them!"
A loud chorus of cheers and the sound of clapping filled the stadium as Six grinned and stepped back Glynda gave him half a glare as she passed him and she slapped the podium with her riding crop to get everyone's attention "Please search for your new dormitories under the list that was provided to you. Most of them are temporary so don't get too attached just yet"
As the students all dispersed and the professors took their leave Glynda turned to Six "I do understand that for some time your only connection to this world was someone from Atlas you must realize that we are not them. They are not soldiers"
"I know, but even if they are not, they are still fighting a war that will engulf the planet… which is something that I don't like. My planet can tell you what happens when a war of that magnitude gets out of control. I don't want soldiers nor do I want a war here on Remnant"-"Then why…"
Six smiled sadly as he shook his head, reaching for his hat he walked out of the room but he did answer in a quiet voice "Because we all have a part to play" Glynda narrowed her eyes at him wondering what he meant, if there would be no war… then what was the point in having soldiers?
"Fantastic speech, no really I mean it I was moved to tears" Cinder fake clapped as Six entered their private Bullhead. He chose to say nothing and extended his hand "The toy" nodding the crimson woman handed him the machine. There was silence for a second as Cinder looked above the skies besides the moon she spotted a faint flicker "RobCo released four satellites into orbit more than enough to cover the entire planet. While everyone's eyes where here on Vale your beloved machines sent a fifth one into the domain of the gods… everything is in place"
Six nodded as he hid the toy gun underneath his long coat "In place not fully finished, we still got plenty of work down here before we can burn the witch. The kids are only the first step" Cinder smiled from ear to ear "You know... I know that I must agree with you on everything, but I like this plan only because I find it very funny. But I don't like that you brought HER back to the front lines." The courier raised an eyebrow "Who?"
"The silver eyed red hood, that girl is not normal" Cinder said as she touched her missing eye making Six hum as he remembered the petrified dragon a top Old Beacon, but even so she was just one girl "I don't think we need to worry about her, she is a nice kid" Cinder glared "Exactly. Heroes and heroines are all the same, she will not understand what you want to do and she will try to put a stop to it… don't come crying to me when you have to fight destiny itself Courier Six" Six raised an eyebrow at that as he wondered what the hell Cinder meant, Ruby was just a girl.
A student at the academy that just happened to be friends with his girlfriend's sister.
But then again to Father Elijah he had been just some random courier, a no body that didn't even factor in the grand scheme of things. His mind to focused on the war with the NCR and avenging the brutal defeat of the Brotherhood of Steel at Helios One "And now here I am… trying tom hold the sun" Six muttered to himself as they approached RobCo tower. Even from a distance the change could be seen, the once beacon for humanity had been stripped of its grandeur and was slowly being transformed into something else, something from the old world.
Offices and laboratories performed a perfect front and a sufficient enough backbone for what Six wanted this place to be, while at first people had been hesitant to return to ground zero of the attack on Vale the need for a jobs beat their fear. And thanks to the fact that their CEO did not have a paycheck the bonuses and the many amenities made sure that RobCo began to be the number one employer in the area, even if many of their competition accused them of stealing parts that right in the middle of the attack on the city. They never had any proof of course.
"Hey there boss, we handed the robots the samples that you asked… are you sure you don't want us to look at it?" a scientist greeted them at the port, Six simply smiled and shook his head "Oh no need, its just something that I planned to store"
But regardless of what society thought of the image that he gave what mattered was what was on the inside, after they passed a certain point the cameras all died and after placing a key on the machine Six opened the secret passage to an elevator "I don't like this stupid cape that I need to wear" Cinder commented as she made her face visible again.
"It does make you look more intimidating" Six commented as the elevator stopped and they entered their true kingdom, a series of subterranean tunnels containing everything that he would ever need to fight a massive war but most importantly a powerful computer that allowed him to communicate with something outside the planet. "Yes Man, report"
It took some time but the AI replied in his usual cheery voice "Hi there! Thanks for the new home boss! Plenty of space up here if you don't mind my pun hahaha… but as for the report I have looked for movement of this Grimm things you have asked about and as we suspected there is an epicenter where they spread to the rest of the world" Six found it incredibly funny how the place where all the monsters came from had the form of a dragon. "As always Cinder you spared no detail"-"I cant, this thing on my head wont let me" Six grinned "I know"
"Oh but there is more, seismic activity detected from the region is making it clear that something is stirring there. Plan A could still be executed but we may have to look for outside sources to bolster the ranks" Six hummed as his missing eye began to itch, the machete of the legionnaire that had tried to kill him now nothing more than a phantom.
