Chapter 2 Madness

Disclaimer: I don't own anything this is just a story for fun.

After developing the formula that had saved both Thornheart and Daniel, Curien dove into his work and became obsessed with what he had discovered and created. He created numerous formulas and serums that he tested out on various corpses with a different variety of results. The earlier test subjects became reanimated, but had very limited mobility and weren't that strong. The next group of test subjects had more mobility and were able to pick up and use various objects and use them as weapons, like hatchets, knives, sledgehammers, ball and chains, chainsaws, and blowtorches. Curien was pleased by these results and even had his staff install some cybernetics on a few of the zombies. He even had a few zombie animals created.

Curien also took precautions and figured out a way to control the new zombies. He did this by creating a serum made from the blood of a higher ranked demon and injected into himself. Though the serum didn't give him any superhuman abilities it did allow him to control and command the zombies, who had the blood of lesser demons running through them.

One of Curien's biggest successes was the creation of a machine called the BioReactor a machine capable of editing the DNA sequences of any organism, transforming them into macabre creature of immense power that far surpassed any human. Thornheart and Goldman were very interested in this machine and had Curien send them blueprints and notes on the machine. Curien used the BioReactor to create three powerful undead creatures that greatly surpassed anything he developed so far and he had a fourth creature in development that was even stronger then the three he had already created. Curien even began to make plans to enhance himself using the machine to turn himself into a being of great power.

Curien felt like a god with his new creations and he started to become power drunk, seeing himself as the new master of the world. He became cold and distant from Daniel and he became violent to his staff seeing them as nothing more then test subjects and targets for his creations to be tested on. It got so bad that one very nervous staff member decided they couldn't take it anymore and made contact with a man named J. D Morrison a information broker and friend of Dante begging for help to put a end to Curien and his madness.

To be continued.
