Episode 325: Hoenn Double Header!
After the preliminary round has concluded, Sora decided that he had to be ready for his first round, so he had to pick his Pokémon carefully. He took out his Pokémon Box and he goes over it carefully.
"Gotta be smart about this," Sora said. He exchanged Manectric and Glalie for Whishcash and Walrein. Sora then did some training with his Pokémon to get them in shape until Karen and Blossom came along.
"Sora, there you are," Karen said.
"What's up, Karen?" Sora asked.
"The pairings are about to get started, so of you wanna know who you're up against first, then you'll have to come along," Karen said.
"Chu," Blossom said.
"Alright, Alright," Sora said, calling back his Pokémon. He goes with his sister and rejoins the group.
"Good of you to join us," Morrison said.
"Just getting some training done. Any idea who's against who yet?" Sora asked.
"It hasn't even started yet," Brendan said
"And it looks like it's going to start," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
The pairings were now completed.
The battles had been arranged as everyone is paired off. Morrison was having the first battle in Stadium E as Sora's is the third battle in Stadium C. Brendan's is having his battle second on Stadium B and Wally's is the fourth on Stadium A. Tyson's battle is the fourth in Stadium D. Blake's battle is in Stadium F, and Nora's battle is the first on in Stadium G.
"Ha! It looks like my battle is going on first!" Morrison gloated.
"That gives me plenty of time," Sora said.
"Hey, look who you're up against!" Davis said, pointing to Stadium C. Sora, Kairi, and Lisia gasped when they saw it was his Whishcash's former Trainer.
"That guy?! I'm battling him again?" Sora asked.
"Says here that his name is Griff and he came from Oldale Town," Izzy said.
"So that's his name," Sora said.
"You know him?" Michael asked.
"Unfortunate, yes. He was my Whishcash's old Trainer before he abandoned him when he was just a Barboach. I battled him and beat him without breaking a sweat against him," Sora said.
"He abandoned his own Pokémon?" Aqua asked, disgusted by Griff's actions.
"He did. He was battling a Trainer who had a Magnemite, and lost despite a type advantage, so he just abandoned Barboach in the middle of the road, and that's when we found him," Sora said.
"I have a feeling he hadn't forgotten that you beaten him, Sora," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"You're right to have that feeling. And I doubt he learned his lesson," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu nodded with agreement.
"Anyway, what's the intel on this guy Morrison's battling?" Sora asked.
"According to this, it's a bodybuilder who goes by the name of Gavin. Not only that, but the Pokémon he has with him are nothing to cough at. He takes pride into his muscles and his Machamp. According to this, he came in first in the Mr. Heavyweight Pokémon three years in a row," Izzy said as he goes over the information in the database.
"So, it's another muscle head entering the ring," Karen said.
"Best of luck, Morrison," Sora said.
"I don't need luck. I know I'm gonna win it," Morrison said.
A little while later, the crowd gathers in Staium E as Morrison's battle was about to begin. The crowd starts cheering as Sora sat with the rest of the group sat in the booths, watching Morrison's battle against his opponent.
"First up, ladies and gentlemen, give a warm welcome to Morrison from Verdanturf Town!" The announcer announced as the crowd cheered.
"Thank you! I'm ready to roll!" Morrison shouted.
"And challenging Morrison will be Gavin from Danda Town! Give him a hand!" The announcer announced. Gavin laughs as he looked right at Morrison.
"Prepare yourself, young man, to be crushed by all of my enormous rippling muscles!" Gavin called out as he flexed his muscles.
"He looks strong enough to bend a Gurdurr's steel beam," Wally said.
"Izzy wasn't kidding when he said this guy takes pride in his muscles," Brendan said.
"Let's see how Morrison lasts against this guy," Sora said.
"In the qualifying tournament, all battles are double battles. Both Trainers will be using four Pokémon each and the battle will be over when all four are unable to continue battling! Let's listen for the Pokémon picks!" The announcer announced. Morrison takes out his two Pokéballs and throws them.
"Now, Growlithe, Gligar! I choose you!" Morrison shouted as his Growlithe and Gligar both make their entrance on the battlefield. Gavin took out his two Pokéballs and threw them.
"Marowak and Machamp! Let's go!" Gavin shouted as his two Pokémon make their appearence on the battlefield.
"They have made their picks! Morrison with his Growlithe and Gligar and Gavin with his Marowak and Machamp!" The announcer announced.
"I've promised these muscles of mine that we will win!" Gavin said, flexing his muscles.
"Well, you better let them know, that we're going to win!" Morrison counted by flexing his own muscles.
"And begin!" The referee called out.
"Begin with Flame Charge on Marowak, Growlithe!" Morrison ordered. Growlithe charges at Marowak with its body surrounded by flames. Growlithe lands a blow onto Marowk.
"Growlithe starts right out with a red-hot Flame Charge!" The announcer announced.
"Hang in there, Marowak! Use Headbutt!" Marowk jumps on Growlithe's back as Growlithe kept running. Marowak places its bone over Growlithe's neck and lands a Headbutt on Growlithe.
"Marowak fights back with a Headbutt!" The announcer announced.
"Go, Gligar! Use Guillotine on Machamp!" Morrison ordered. Gligar swoops down to deiliever Guillotine on the superpower Pokémon.
"Use your Karate Chop, Machamp!" Gavin ordered. Machamp jumps and uses Karate Chop to block Gligar's Guillotine.
"This is some fiere head-to-head combat between Gligar and Machamp with their strengths matched almost perfectly!" The announcer announced. Growlithe slides on the ground after taking Marowak's Headbutt.
"Growlithe! Use Flamethrower! Let's go!" Morrison ordered. Growlithe fires Flamethrower right at its target.
"Use Bone Club!" Gavin ordered. Marowak uses its bone to block out Growlithe's Flamethrower.
"Marowak's spinning Bone Club keeps that Flamethrower in check!" The announcer announced.
"Machamp! Dynamic Punch!" Gavin ordered. Machamp comes at Gligar with Dynamic Punch and lands a successful hit.
"Gligar! Oh no!" Morrison gasped.
"Follow up with Cross Chop!" Gavin ordered. Machamp crosses its arms and comes at Gligar and lands another hit.
"Two attacks in a row! Dynamic Punch right into Cross Chop!" The announcer announced.
"Oh man, that's gotta hurt," Ventus said.
"Gavin isn't messing around," Aqua said.
"Morrison isn't messing around either. He just needs to get his head in the game," Sora said.
"Gligar! Fight back with Steel Wing!" Morrison ordered. Gligar comes down with Steel Wing. Gligar came down with blinding speed. It successfully lands a perfect hit.
"Morrison sends back a little wake-up call! This battle is anything but over!" The announcer announced.
"Marowak! Use Bonmerang on Growlithe, now!" Gavin ordered. Marowak throws its bone right at Growlithe and the Puppy Pokémon got hit hard.
"Growlithe gets hit by Marowak's Bonemerang! Super effective!" The announcer announced. Gavin laughs again.
"Where's muscle now?" Gavin taunted.
"Right here!" Morrison countered, flexing his arm. "Growlithe! Use Flamethrower on Marowak!" Morrison ordered. Growlithe unleashes Flamethrower once again.
"Marowak! Charge into the flames!" Gavin ordered. Marowak does exactly that as it bulldozes through Growlithe's Flamethrower without any problems.
"No way! It can't be!" Morrison gasped.
"Now! Headbutt!" Gavin ordered. Marowak lands a clean Headbutt on Growlithe. "Follow up with Ice Beam, Marowak!" Marowak fires Ice Beam right at Growlithe and freezes Growlithe's right hind leg. Growlithe began to struggle to get loose from the ice.
"Growlithe struggles desperately to break free from that Ice Beam!" The announcer announced.
"Alright, Marowak! Bone Club! Let's go!" Gavin ordered. Marowak smacks Growlithe with its bone, causing some heavy damage and shattering the ice.
"That red-hot Bone Club frees Growlithe from the Ice Beam, whether Morrison likes it or not!" The announcer announced.
"Machamp! Time for Vital Throw!" Gavin ordered. Machamp grabs Gligar and gave the Fly Scorpion Pokémon such a violent throw.
"Machamp's Vital Throw sends Gligar flying!" The announcer announced.
"Gligar! Use Guillotine on Machamp!" Morrison ordered. Gligar comes at Machamp with such speed and lands a hit onto Machamp.
"Gligar comes roaring back with a Guillotine!" The announcer announced. Gavin wasn't enjoying this one bit as he growls in anger.
"Why you little! Marowak! Bonemerang on Growlithe!" Gavin ordered. Marowak throws its bone right at Growlithe once again.
"Flamethrower!" Morrison ordered. Grolwithe fires Flamethrower once again. Both had landed a hit on each other. "Gligar! Use Steel Wing on Machamp! Let's go!" Gligar came fast at mach speed and lands a hit onto Machamp.
"Gligar's Steel Wing scores a direct hit!" The announcer announced.
"Let's give them another Steel Wing! Go!" Morrison called out. Gligar bombards Machamp with fiercesome speed.
"Gligar lets loose with a barrage of Steel Wing attacks! This may be the break Morrison's been looking for!" The announcer announced.
"Machamp! Dynamic Punch!" Gavin ordered. Machamp tries to land a punch onto Gligar, but it was moving too fast for Machamp to land a single hit.
"Machamp mounts a comebackwith Dynamic Punch, but can't seem to put it together!" The announcer announced.
"Gligar, nice work! Okay! Use Guillotine!" Morrison ordered. Gligar comes at the superpower Pokémon with Guillotine and lands a heavy blow onto Machamp.
"Gligar's Guillotine deals a devastating blow!" The announcer announced.
"Machamp is unable to battle!" The referee announced.
"Oh yeah!" Morrison cheered as he had took out one of Gavin's Pokémon. He calls back his fallen Machamp.
"Gavin has three Pokémon left to use against Morrison and his team! Let's see which one Gavin will be sending out next!" The announcer announced. Gavin took out his Pokéball and threw it.
"Let's go, Granbull!" Gavin called out. His Pokéball opened and his Granbull emerged from inside, ready to battle.
"Gavin has sent out a Granbull to replace Machamp after getting taken out by Gligar's barrage of attacks!" The announcer announced.
"Yeah? Well, I'm just getting warmed up here!" Gavin shouted. "Marowak! Use Bone Club on Growlithe!" Marowak twirls its bone started running towards Growlithe to land a hit.
"Growlithe! Use Flamethrower!" Morrison ordered. Growlithe fires Flamethrower at the bone keeper Pokémon, but it jumps to dodge the attack and comes down to land a blow onto the Puppy Pokémon. Growlithe had been knocked at the head and taken down. Morrison gasped in shock as he witnessed his Growlithe being taken down.
"Growlithe is unable to battle!" The referee announced.
"And Gavin treats us to an impressive comeback, but how long will he have it?" The announcer asked. Morrison called back his Growlithe and took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Swampert! I choose you!" Morrison shouted. His Pokéball opened and his Swampert emerged from inside.
"Morrison has sent out a Swampert to battle Gavin's Marowak!" The announcer announced.
"Marowak's a Ground-type, so Swampert has the advantage," Max said.
"Yeah, and let's see which moves Swampert uses against that Marowak," Ash said.
"Marowak! Bone Club on Swampert!" Gavin ordered. Marowak charges at Swampert with a Bone Club.
"Marowak is charging at Swampert with a red-hot Bone Club, ready to strike Swampert!" The announcer announced.
"Swampert! Power-Up Punch!" Morrison ordered. Swampert lands a powerful punch onto the Bone Keeper Pokémon, sending it flying towards the wall. Marowak's bone impales the ground, knocked out.
"Marowak is unable to battle!" The referee announced.
"Morrison has put a big dent into Gavin's comeback with a super-powered Power-Up Punch! Gavin has his two Pokémon left to use!" The announcer announced as Gavin took out his next Pokéball and threw it.
"Poliwrath! Let's go!" Gavin called out. His Pokéball opened and a Poliwrath emerged from inside the Pokéball.
"And Gavin has sent out a Poliwrath!" The announcer announced.
"Granbull! Ice Fang on Gligar!" Gavin ordered. Granbull charges at Gligar with an Ice Fang, ready to strike.
"Gligar! Use Steel Wing!" Morrison ordered. Gligar flew down at Granbull with a Steel Wing, but Granbull was too quick for the Fly Scorpion Pokémon to land a hit, and it freezes one of Gligar's wings.
"Granbull lands a freezing Ice Fang onto Gligar's wing!" The announcer announced.
"That Ice Fang really did a number on Gligar," Roxas said.
"Yeah, and it looks like Granbull will be wrapping this up fast," Rei said.
"Granbull! Finish Gligar with Play Rough!" Gavin ordered. Granbull pounces on Gligar and gave it a series of beatings. Gligar is sent flying and hits the wall, knocked out.
"Gligar is unable to battle!" The referee announced.
"And now both Gavin and Morrison has two Pokémon each, and only one of them will be walking away a winner!" The announcer announced.
"And that's going to be me!" Morrison said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. "Metang! You're up!" His Pokéball opened and his Metang emerged from inside.
"Yes! Metang is a great choice since Steel-type Pokémon has the edge over Fairy-types like Granbull!" Lyra said.
"Marill, Marill!" Marill said.
"And Metang's also a Psychic-type since Poliwrath is a Fighting-type," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Poliwrath! Use Focus Punch on Swampert! Granbull! Ice Fang on Metang!" Gavin ordered. Both of Gavin's Pokémon rushes at Swampert and Metang.
"Swampert! High Horsepower on Poliwrath! Metang! Meteor Mash on Granbull!" Morrison ordered. Swampert charges at Poliwrath with a High Horsepower, landing a hit as Metang lands a hit with Meteor Mash. Granbull felt some heavy damage due to its weakness to Steel-type moves.
"Metang and Swampert does a serious number onto Granbull and Poliwrath as Granbull has taken heavy damage since being a Fairy-type and Poliwrath failing to hold its focus with Focus Punch!" The announcer announced.
"I'm not giving up that easily! Granbull! Hyper Beam on Swampert!" Gavin ordered. Granbull fired Hyper Beam right at the Mud Fish Pokémon.
"I'm not giving up either! Metang! Flash Cannon!" Morrison ordered. Metang fired Flash Cannon, colliding with each other.
"Metang and Granbull are holding on tight with their Hyper Beam and Flash Cannon! And it looks like not one of them is giving up in an inch!" The announcer announced as Granbull and Metang kept holding on. An explosion occurs between the two of them, dealing some heavy damage and earned a double knockout.
"Granbull and Metang are unable to battle!" The referee announced.
"This match has turned into a one-on-one battle, so this match could go either way!" The announcer announced.
"Poliwrath! Use Body Press!" Gavin ordered. Poliwrath jumped and came down with a Body Press.
"Poliwrath is coming down with a Body Press!" The announcer announced.
"Swampert! High Horsepower, let's go!" Morrison ordered. Swampert charged at Poliwrath with a High Horsepower, landing a hit.
"Swampert lands a hit with a red-hot High Horsepower! Poliwrath is going to be feeling that in the morning!" The announcer announced.
"Alright, Swampert! Power-Up Punch!" Morrison ordered. Swampert lands a Power-Up Punch onto Poliwrath, landing a hit, resulting in a knockout.
"Poliwrath is unable to battle! Swampert wins! The victor of the battle is Morrison from Verdanturf Town!" The referee announced.
"And Morrison has earned his first victory right here in the Hoenn Pokémon League! A huge congratulations is in order!" The announcer announced.
"Way to go, Morrison!" Ethan said.
"Knew he'd do it," Brendan said.
"Hey, don't you have a battle to get to?" May reminded her boyfriend. Brendan winced when he realized how right she was.
"Oh! That's right! I better hightail over to my battle before I'm late!" Brendan exclaimed.
"Now we have our second battle in Stadium B! It's Brendan from Littleroot Town up against Marvin from Fortree City!" The announcer announced as Marvin was looking at Brendan with such a grin. Brendan and Marvin each took out two Pokéballs as they got ready for battle.
"Go! Sceptile and Charizard!" Brendan called out as his Sceptile and Charizard both entered the battlefield.
"Go! Aggron and Tauros!" Marvin shouted. Both his Aggron and Kantonian Tauros made an entrance.
"Brendan chooses Sceptile and Charizard as Marvin has chosen Aggron and Tauros!" The announcer announced.
"Wow, looks like Brendan's Charmeleon evolved," Lyra said.
"Sure has," May said, taking out her Rotom Phone and scanned her boyfriend's Charizard.

A herd of Tauros can be seen stampeding in and rampaging in areas where it can be found. It does so when trampling over invaders whenever they're disturbed.
"Begin!" The referee called out.
"Charizard! Begin with Slash! Sceptile! Solar Blade!" Brendan ordered. Sceptile and Charizard comes at their opponents about to swipe at their opponents.
"Tauros! Use Horn Attack! Aggron! Use Dragon Claw!" Marvin ordered. Tauros comes at Charizard with Horn Attack while Aggron comes at Sceptile with Dragon Claw. Charizard lands a Slash into Tauros and Aggron lands Dragon Claw onto Sceptile.
"Charizard starts things off with Slash and lands a successful blow onto Tauros! Aggron does the same onto Sceptile!" The announcer announced.
"Aggron! Use Fire Punch on Charizard!" Aggron heads for Charizard with a burning punch attack.
"Charizard! Dodge it with Dig!" Brendan ordered. Charizard dug into the ground to avoid Aggron's Fire Punch.
"Charizard escapes Aggron's Fire Punch by digging underground!" The announcer announced.
"Sceptile! Use Leaf Storm!" Brendan ordered. Sceptile unleashes Leaf Storm and sends it to its opponents.
"Aggron! Tauros! Use Flamethrower!" Marvin ordered. Both Pokémon uses Flamethrower to block Leaf Storm, catching them on fire.
"Aggron and Tauros blocks Leaf Storm by using Flamethrower! Brendan is in for a hot battle now, especially when Sceptile is weak against fire!" The announcer announced. Charizard emerges from underground.
"Charizard! Use Thunder Punch on Tauros!" Brendan ordered. Charizard comes at the Wild Bull Pokémon with an electrified punch. Charizard scores a perfect hit into Tauros, resulting in paralysis.
"Charizard lands a shocking Thunder Punch ending up with Tauros being paralyzed!" The announcer announced.
"Aggron! Fire Punch on Charizard!" Marvin ordered.
"Sceptile! Use Solar Blade on Aggron!" Brendan ordered. Aggron comes to Charizard to land a Fire Punch as Sceptile stops Aggron by swiping it with Solar Blade. "Now use Leaf Storm!" Sceptile fires Leaf Storm and it pelts Aggron greatly.
"Sceptile defends Charizard by giving it a Leaf Storm in the face! I doubt Marvin is taking this lightly!" The announcer announced.
"Not bad. Tauros! Raging Bull on Sceptile! Aggron! You use Fire Punch on Sceptile too!" Marvin ordered. Both of Marvin's Pokémon headed for Sceptile with Raging Bull and Fire Punch at once.
"Charizard! Flamethrower on Aggron!" Brendan ordered. Charizard fires Flamethrower on Aggron, sending Aggron back.
Tauros still headed for Sceptile.
"Now, it's Charizard who is defending Sceptile! Charizard has stopped Aggron with Flamethrower, but Tauros is still making its way to Sceptile!" The announcer announced.
"Not a problem. Sceptile! Seed Bomb!" Brendan ordered. Sceptile fires Seed Bomb right at Tauros and it lands a hit onto Tauros. "Now use Solar Blade!" Sceptile swipes at Tauros with a devastating blow. Tauros had been taken down.
"Tauros is unable to battle!" The referee announced.
"Tauros had been taken down, leaving three Pokémon left for Marvin to use!" The announcer announced as Marvin took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Stantler! Go!" Marvin called out. His Pokéball opened and his Stantler emerged from inside.
"Now, Marvin has sent out Stantler to deal with Sceptile and Charizard!" The announcer announced. May took out her Rotom Phone and scanned Stantler for information.
Stantler, the Big Horn Pokémon
Type: Normal
Those who stare at its antlers will gradually lose control of their senses and be unable to stand.
"Okay, Stantler! Use Shadow Ball! Aggron! Flamethrower again!" Marvin ordered.
"Charizard! You use Flamethrower too! And Scetile! You use Leaf Blade on Stantler!" Brendan ordered. Charizard and Aggron fired Flamethrower and they push each other back.
"Now, things are really cooking! Charizard and Aggron are putting up quite a barbeque! Someone will have to bring the refreshments!" The announcer announced.
Charizard and Aggron held on as much as they could as Aggron was pushing back Charizard's Flamethrower and landed hit a hit.
"That's it, Aggron! Keep up that Flamethrower!" Marvin called out.
"Charizard! Hang in there!" Brendan called out.
"Aggron is doing a real number on Charizard! It's going to take a miracle to save him now!" The announcer announced. Charizard's Blaze ability kicked in and it increases the power of Flamethrower. "And a miracle has occurred, because Charizard's Flamethrower is much stronger than normal!"
"It looks like Charizard's Blaze has been activated," Ash said
"And it'll give Charizard's Fire-type moves a strong kick," Leaf said.
"Keep up that Flamethrower!" Brendan called out. Charizard keeps using Flames and it engulfs Aggron in the flames, resulting in a knockout.
"Aggron is unable to battle!" The referee announced.
"And Aggron had been taken down along with Tauros! Marvin has two left to use in his match!" The announcer announced. Marvin called his Aggron back and he took out his next Pokéball and threw it.
"Let's go, Dusclops!" Marvin called out, sending out his Dusclops. It is dark orange in color.
"Marvin has sent out a Shiny Dusclops to use against Brendan's team!" The announcer announced.
"Stantler! Use your Zen Headbutt on Sceptile!" Marvin ordered as Stantler charges right at Sceptile.
"Dodge and use Leaf Storm!" Brendan ordered. Sceptile avoids Stantler's Zen Headbutt and lands a hit with Leaf Storm.
"Stantler had been taken in by that raging Leaf Storm!" The announcer announced.
"Solar Blade!" Brendan ordered. Sceptile builds up energy and lands a hit with his Solar Blade, taking Stantler down.
"Stantler is unable to battle!" The referee announced.
"Stantler never stood a chance against the ferocity of Sceptile's attacks! Now, Marvin has only Dusclops left to use against Brendan's two Pokémon!" The announcer announced.
"Use Trick Room!" Marvin ordered. Dusclops's body glows light blue and a large light blue rectangle with light blue and white transparent walls and ceiling appears around the battlefield.
"Dusclops has created a box all around the battlefield!" The announcer announced.
"Okay, you guys, don't overdo it, so I'm gonna have to call out back," Brendan said, taking out his Pokéballs.
"No, you don't! Dusclops! Use Mean Look!" Marvin ordered. Dusclops's eye glow red and a dark, ghostly aura surrounds it. The aura then extends and surrounds Sceptile and Charizard, preventing Brendan from calling them back.
"Oh no!" Brendan gasped.
"Oh yes! Dusclops just used Mean Look to prevent Brendan from switching Pokémon! He really wants to end this battle quickly!" The announcer announced.
"Quickly is right! Dusclops! Shadow Punch on Sceptile!" Marvin ordered.
"Dodge it, Sceptile!" Brendan called out. Sceptile tries to dodge, but it moves much slower than normally, so Dusclops lands a heavy blow onto Sceptile.
"Sceptile's speed is no good! Dusclops quickly uses its Shadow Punch to deal some heavy damage!" The announcer announced.
"Wait, isn't Dusclops a slow-moving Pokémon? It just moved very fast," May said.
"To answer your question, May, yes, Dusclops is a slow Pokémon, but the reason it's so fast is because of Trick Room," Riku said.
"Tirck Room?" May asked.
"Trick Room is a Psychic-type move that can make a slow-moving Pokémon like Slowpoke and Dusclops move at a faster pace. And that Mean Look was a great idea to make sure it all goes as plan," Riku said.
"Dusclops! Psychic!" Marvin ordered. Dusclops uses Psychic on Sceptile and Charizard, sending them flying. They hit the wall of Trick Room and end up in a double knockout.
"Charizard and Sceptile are both unable to battle!" The referee announced.
"Now, Brendan has two Pokémon left to use against Marvin's Dusclops! Now, which ones will Brendan be sending out next?" The announcer asked as Brendan called his two Pokémon back. He took out his two Pokéballs and threw them.
"You're going in, Gyarados and Electrode!" Brendan called out. His Pokéballs opened and his Gyarados and Electrode emerged from inside, ready to battle.
"Brendan has sent out a Gyarados and an Electrode to deal with Marvin's Dusclops! Let's find out if two against one can tip the scales into Brendan's favor!" The announcer announced.
"Gyarados! Use Hydro Pump! Electrode! Rollout!" Brendan ordered. Electrode keeps on rolling and rolling as Gyarados fired Hydro Pump.
"Dodge it, Dusclops!" Marvin called out. Dusclops avoids Electrode's Rollout while Gyarados fired Hydro Pump, but Dusclops easily dodges it.
"Dusclops is definitely toying with its two opponents with that Trick Room in play! Brendan will have to think of something new or else it's going to be all over for him!" The announcer announced.
"Keep using Rollout, Electrode!" Brendan ordered. Electrode does keep using Rollout, but Dusclops keeps dodging.
"Electrode is using Rollout again and again!" The announcer announced.
"What's he trying to do? Dusclops is too fast for Electrode," Max pointed out.
"As long as Trick Room is in effect!" Terra said, figuring out what Brendan was up to. Max looked at Terra.
"What do you mean, Terra?" Max asked.
"Trick Room doesn't last for very long, so Brendan is stalling by using that to his advantage, so he's waiting for Trick Room to wear off and that's going to be his moment to earn his victory."
"Yeah, that's the way, Brendan!" Morrison exclaimed.
"Gyarados! Ice Fang!" Brendan ordered. Gyarados tries to land an icy bite onto Dusclops, but it easily dodged.
"Gyarados misses its mark with that Ice Fang!" The announcer announced.
"Attack me all you want, Brendan. Your Pokémon aren't going to land a hit on my Dusclops! Shadow Punch on Gyarados!" Marvin ordered. Dusclops unleashed a Shadow Punch onto Gyarados, dealing some damage. "Psychic!" Dusclops uses Psychic and slammed Gyarados, resulting in a knockout.
"Gyarados is unable to battle!" The referee announced.
"Now, it's been turned into a single battle with Electrode vs Dusclops!" The announcer announced as the Trick Room begins to wear off. Brendan calls back his Gyarados when he sees Trick Room fading. "Looks like Dusclops's Trick Room is no longer taking affect!"
"Looks like Brendan's plan is working!" Xion said.
"Eevee!" Celeste said.
"Now, Brendan just has to be fast enough to act on it," Wes said.
"Better put it back up while I can. Dusclops! Use Trick Room!" Marvin ordered. Dusclops was about to use Trick Room when Electrode struck the Shiny Beckon Pokémon, preventing Dusclops from using Trick Room.
"Electrode finally lands a hit with that Rollout!" The announcer announced.
"Yes! Electrode just struck a blow onto Dusclops!" Rui said.
"Not only that, but Rollout gets stronger with each hit it lands!" Aqua said.
"The other thing is, with Trick Room out of commission, Dusclops is too slow to dodge," Ventus said.
"Keep it up, Electrode!" Brendan said.
"No, no, no! This isn't what I planned out!" Marvin exclaimed. Electrode has landed three more hits onto Dusclops, each more damaging than the last. The final Rollout was enough to knockout Dusclops.
"Dusclops is unable to battle! Electrode wins! The winner is Brendan from Littleroot Town!" The referee announced.
"Brendan has earned his victory with a surprising win with Electrode's Rollout barrage!" The announcer announced.
"Gotta hand it to your boyfriend, May, he came a long way since we first met," Kris said.
"That's very nice of you, Kris, and you're right. Brendan's determination is what led him to that win," May said.
"Yeah, but soon, it'll be Sora's turn," Lisia said.
"Well, I might as do my best then," Sora said.
In Stadium C, Griff just grinned as he chuckled to himself.
"This couldn't be any sweeter. I've been waiting a long time for this moment, and it's been worth the wait. I'm going to exact my revenge on you," Griff said, chuckling menacingly.
So, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Roxas, Xion, Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, Wes, Rui, Michael, Max, Lisia, Zinnia, Rei, Wally, Morrison, Tyson, and the Pokémon sat in the booth, waiting for the battle to get started.
"Ladies and gentlemen, the third battle in Stadium C is about to begin! First up, we have the Pokémon League Champion of Kanto and Johto, Sora Ketchum from Pallet Town and Griff from Oldale Town!" The announcer announced.
"Choose your first two Pokémon and begin!" The referee called out. Griff took out his Pokéballs and threw them.
"Ursaring, Gliscor! I choose you!" Griff shouted, throwing his Pokéballs. His Ursaring and Gliscor emerged from inside. Sora took out his two Pokéballs and threw them.
"Whishcash, Walrein! Let's go!" Sora called out. His Pokéballs opened and his two Pokémon came out, ready to battle.
"Griff has chosen an Ursaring and a Gliscor while Sora has chosen a Whishcash and a Walrein, both Water-type Pokémon!" The announcer announced.
"Let's see," May said, scanning both of Griff's Pokémon.

It observes prey while hanging inverted from branches. When the chance presents itself, Gliscor swoops down at the unsuspecting prey.
"Gliscor! Use Thunder Fang on Walrein! Ursaring! Use Slash on Whishcash!" Griff ordered. Both Pokémon rushes at Sora's Pokémon.
"Whishcash! Stop Ursaring in its tracks with your whiskers!" Sora called out. Whishcash uses his whiskers to stop Ursaring. "Walrein! Use Ice Ball on Gliscor!" Walrein fired Ice Ball at Gliscor, landing a hit.
"Whishcash succeeded in stopping Ursaring by using its whiskers, and the same can be said for Walrein when using that Ice Ball!" The announcer announced.
"Tickle!" Sora ordered. Whishcash then uses his whiskers to tickle Ursaring, making the bear-like Pokémon laugh.
"Ursaring is laughing up a storm with that Tickle from Whishcash!" The announcer announced.
"Okay, Whishcash! Use Mud Bomb!" Sora ordered. Whishcash lets Ursaring go and fired a Mud Bomb, hitting it. "Use Aqua Tail!" Whishcash smacked Ursaring with Aqua Tail.
"Whishcash just smacked Ursaring silly with that Aqua Tail! Just how is Griff going to respond to that?" The announcer announced.
"Ooh, you're more infuriating than I remember! Gliscor! Poison Tail! Ursaring! Mega Punch! Focus your attacks on Whishcash!" Griff ordered. Gliscor and Ursaring rushed at the Whiskers Pokémon, intending to hit him.
"Walrein! Blizzard!" Sora ordered. Walrein fired Blizzard, hitting both Gliscor and Ursaring on the mark. Gliscor felt the heaviest due to its weakness to Ice-type moves.
"Brr! Walrein just saved Walrein with that freezing Blizzard!" The announcer announced.
"Okay, Walrein! Use Surf! Whishcash! Ride it!" Sora ordered. Walrein summoned water and it rises up as Whishcash rides it along with the Ice Break Pokémon.
"Ride that surf!" The announcer announced.
"Try to get away!" Griff shouted. Ursaring and Gliscor tried to escape the surf, but it came too fast as they both end up being washed in it.
"That tidal wave came too fast for Griff's Pokémon to get away in time! Cowabunga, dude!" The announcer announced.
"Aqua Tail on Gliscor!" Sora ordered. Whishcash jumped out of the water and smacked Gliscor with Aqua Tail, knocking it out.
"Gliscor is unable to battle!" The referee announced.
"Sora takes the early lead in this battle, knocking out Gliscor!" The announcer announced. Griff called back his Gliscor and he growled.
"Too slow! Too slow! Okay, try this on for size!" Griff said, taking out another Pokéball and threw it. "Magnezone! I choose you!" His Pokéball opened and his Magnezone emerged from inside.
"Griff has sent out a Magnezone to use against Sora and his two Pokémon, but Whishcash will be a difficult challenge for him!" The announcer announced.
"Okay, Magnezone is the fully evolved form of Magnemite, but he's sending out a Magnezone against Whishcash. Not a smart move," May said.
"He must want to settle the score with the Pokémon he battled Sora with and win it bad," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Well, if he's out for revenge, then it's going to cost him if he loses," Rei said.
"Magnezone! Use Flash Cannon on Whishcash! Ursaring! Use Slash on Whishcash!" Griff ordered. Magnezone fires Flash Cannon at Whishcash, but the Whiskers Pokémon jumped out of the way of the attack, leaving an opening for Ursaring.
"Walrein! Ice Fang!" Sora ordered. Walrein came at Ursaring with his tusks emitting ice and lands an icy bite onto Ursaring. The Hibernator Pokémon ends up being knocked out.
"Ursaring is unable to battle!" The referee announced.
"And that's two Griff has lost to Sora!" The announcer announced as Griff calls back his Ursaring.
"This guy is really pissing me more so than the last time!" Griff said, taking out another Pokéball and threw it. "Houndoom! Go!" His Pokéball opened and his Houndoom emerged from inside, ready to battle.
"And Griff's fourth Pokémon is a Houndoom!" The announcer announced.
"Houndoom! Dark Pulse on Walrein! Magnezone! Shock Wave on Walrein, too!" Griff ordered. Magnezone fired Shock Wave, hitting Walrein on the mark. Houndoom fired Dark Pulse, landing a hit.
"Walrein has taken some heavy damage from those two attacks!" The announcer announced.
"Better call Walrein back just to be on the safe side," Sora said, calling Walrein back. He looked at Pikachu. "Okay, Pikachu, it's going to be your turn now."
"Pika," Pikachu nodded withagreement.
"Go get 'em," Sora said as Pikachu went on in.
"Sora has recalled Walrein and sent in his Pikachu to battle against Griff's Pokémon!" The announcer announced.
"Houndoom! Fire Fang on Pikachu! Magnezone! Flash Cannon on Whishcash!" Griff ordered. Magnezone fired Flash Cannon at Whishcash as Houndoom rushes at Pikachu with Fire Fang.
"Dodge it!" Sora called out. Pikachu and Whishcash dodged their opponents' attacks. "Aqua Tail on Houndoom and Electro Ball on Magnezone!" Pikachu forms a ball of electricity as Whishcash swings his tail at Houndoom, landing a hit.
"Sora's Pikachu and Whishcash managed to save themselves from Magnezone's Flash Cannon and Houndoom's Fire Fang!" The announcer announced.
"Use Mud Bomb on Magnezone!" Sora ordered. Whishcash fired Mud Bomb, landing a hit onto the Magnet Area Pokémon. It was knocked out from Whishcash's Mud Bomb.
"Magnezone is unable to battle!" The referee announced.
"And that makes three Pokémon Griff has lost to Sora's efforts!" The announcer announced.
"Okay, Pikachu, come on back!" Sora said. Pikachu then returns to Sora's side. He pets Pikachu on the head. "Excellent work, buddy, but let's take this to the sky." He took out another Pokéball and threw it. "Swellow! Let's go!" His Pokéball opened and Swellow emerged from inside.
"And Sora has sent out a Swellow!" The announcer announced.
"It looks like it's all over for him," Kairi said.
"Houndoom! Overheat on Whishcash!" Griff ordered. Houndoom fired Overheat right at Whishcash.
"Whishcash! Dodge it and use Muddy Water!" Sora ordered. Whishcash dodged Houndoom's Overheat and fired Muddy Water, hitting Whishcash.
"Whishcash manages to dodge Houndoom's Overheat and came back with a Muddy Water! The first Overheat's always the strongest!" The announcer announced.
"Swellow! Aerial Ace!" Sora ordered. Swellow flew at Houndoom, landing a hit with Aerial Ace. "Whishcash! Aqua Tail!" Whishcash swings his tail and lands a hit, knocking out Houndoom.
"Houndoom is unable to battle! Swellow and Whishcash are the winners! The winner is Sora from Pallet Town!" The referee announced.
"No, no, no! I'm supposed to win!" Griff said, taking out two more Pokéballs and threw them. Out came Sandslash and Camerupt.
"Okay, this is so against the rules, because Griff has just sent out two more Pokémon!" The announcer announced.
"Hold on right there! You cannot use new Pokémon after the battle is over! You lost the battle, and my decision is final!" The referee stated.
"You think I care about some stupid rules?! I only care about taking him down, so that's what I'm gonna do, and there's nothing you can do to stop me from getting what I want! Sandslash, Camerupt! High Horsepower and Slash on Whishcash!" Sandslash and Camerupt rushed at Whishcash.
"I don't think so! Muddy Water!" Sora ordered. Whishcash unleashed Muddy Water, hitting Camerupt and Sandslash, sending them back at him. The referee approached Griff.
"The Hoenn Pokémon League Committee does tolerate this kind of behavior! You will be escorted from the tournament grounds immediately!" The referee said.
"You can't do that!" Griff argued.
"Yes, we can!" The referee said as two of the Officer Jennys escorts Griff out of the Ever Grande Stadium grounds.
"Sorry about that, ladies and gentlemen, but as I was about to say, the Pokémon League Champion of Kanto and Johto, Sora Ketchum is the winner of the match!" The announcer announced.
"I'm proud of you, Whishcash. You grew so much stronger since we found you as a Barboach. And you came through by battling your former Trainer twice," Sora said.
"Whishcash!" Whishcash beamed.
After the battle, Sora is greeted by a young man with brown hair and blue eyes. He wore a purple shirt with dark pink shirt sleeves and cream-colored pants, and purple shoes. With him is a Houndoom.
"Hey, you're Sora Ketchum, aren't you?" The young man asked.
"Yeah, I am," Sora said.
"Great to meet you. The name's Harrison, and I came from Littleroot Town. I was watching your match just now, and I was really impressed with your skills," Harrison said.
"Thanks, man. And maybe when you win your battle, we might end up battling each other during the competition," Sora said.
"I'm looking forward to that, Sora," Harrison said, shaking Sora's hand.
Sometime later, Wally had just started to have his turn battling in Stadium A. He had lost Azumarill and Altaria to his opponent, and he had lost his Torkoal and Vileplume. He had his Roserade and Delcatty out as he was battling a trainer with a Slaking and Muk. Things were taking a turn for the worse for Wally as Roserade and Delcatty were exhausted.
"Slaking! Body Press! Muk! Use Body Slam!" Wally's opponent ordered. Both Slaking and Muk came at both of Wally's Pokémon ready o slam them on the ground.
"Roserade! Petal Blizzard! Delcatty! Disarming Voice!" Wally ordered. Both of Wallly's Pokémon combined their attacks and it struck both of Slaking and Muk.
"Roserade and Delcatty make good use of their teammwork by catching Slaking and Muk in the Petal Blizzard and Disarming Voice combo!" The announcer announced.
"Now use Magical Leaf!" Wally ordered. Roserade fires Magical Leaf into the vortex and struck them both. "Delcatty! Use Hyper Beam!" Delcatty fires Hyper Beam and it struck them both. The vortex ceases and they both fall to the ground.
"Wally makes a comeback by firing Hyper Beam, causing tremendous damage!" The announcer announced.
"Slaking and Muk are both unable to battle! Roserade and Delcatty wins! The victory goes to Wally from Petalburg City!" The referee announced.
"Just when Wally was in a corner, he comes out on top!" The announcer announced.
Wally was walking out of the stadium when he's approached by Nora.
"Congratulations on your victory, Wally," Nora said.
"Thank you, Nora. Since you're here, I wanna wish you and your brother luck," Wally said. Nora smiled affectionately at Wally.
"Thank you, Wally," Nora said, blushing. Wally blushes, too.
Shortly after Sora and Brendan have won their battles, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Roxas, Xion, Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, Wes, Rui, Michael, Max, Lisia, Rei, Wally, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, Azurill, Xipak, Celeste, Blossom, Sparky, Thor, Eclair, and Marill were heading to the Pokémon Center to celebrate when Zinnia and Aster were with Jay. They're approached by Ben, Hikaru, and some other young people.
One of them is a young woman with a strong resemblance to Cattleya. She has blonde hair and blue eyes, and she wore a white blouse and blue jeans, and black sneakers with white socks.
Another is is a tall, ravishing, seductive girl in her late teens. She has a brown complexion, long red hair, and a colossal bust. She wore a black crop top and a short skirt that reached her knees, and black leather boots.
Another is a small girl with short light blue hair and corresponding light blue eyes with a pair of red round frame glasses. She wore a buttoned shirt and a dark blue long-sleeved shirt and dark blue jeans, and white sneakers.
Another is a young man with blonde hair and blue eyes. He wore a buttoned shirt that's opened at the top, brown pants and light brown shoes.
Another is a chubby young man with blonde hair and blue eyes. He wore a light blue shirt and brown pants. He wore red sneakers.
Another is a young lady with blonde, curly long hair and blue eyes. There is a large, red ribbon tied around her hair. She wore a lime green dress. She wears stocking-like sock and green heels.
Another is a young woman with short black hair and light blue eyes. She wore a white dress that reached down to her ankles and wore blue heels. She also has a colossal bust.
Another is a young woman with short purple hair, and teal blue eyes. She wore an indigo elegant dress and indigo heels.
Another is a young woman with dark blonde hair and light green eyes. She wore a viridian shirt with dark green pants and dark green shoes.
Another is a young woman with dark green eyes and long black hair. She wore a green shirt and a white shirt that reached her knees and dark green shoes.
Another is a girl who looks like the girl with the glasses, but taller, has longer hair the same color and has a bit of a bigger bust. She wore a blue shirt and blue shorts and blue shoes.
The last person is a young woman with long golden blonde hair and light blue eyes. She has a much larger bust than the other girls. She wore a green dress that went down to her ankles.
"Hello, Sora," Ben greeted.
"Ben!" Sora said.
"Auntie Elise!" Ventus said, hugging the first girl. She hugged him back.
"Hello, Ventus," Elise said. She looked right at Terra and Aqua with a smile. "It's nice seeing you here, Terra, Aqua."
"Auntie Elise?" Kairi, Xion, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, Rui, Michael, Max, and Lisia asked.
"She's my aunt's younger sister," Sora said.
"Well, that explains the face," May said.
"Sora, I haven't seen you since you were a little kid," Elise said. She looked right at Roxas and she smiled. "You must be Roxas."
"It's nice to meet you," Roxas said.
"Well, I was expecting to see Ben, but I didn't expect to see you here," Sora said.
"Well, since you've met Elise, allow me to introduce you to my other apprentices. Meet Kiera, Charmaine, Gilbert, Monica, Martin, Helena, Sienna, Jeannette, Avala, Isabelle, and Tiffany. Apprentices, meet Sora, Kairi, Ash, Leaf, Riku, Naminé, Ethan, Lyra, Kris, May, Brendan, Wes, Rui, and Michael. They are Rei's apprentices. The rest are Lisia, and May's younger brother, Max," Ben introduced.
"You mean you're the ones we were told about? They're just kids," Kiera scoffed. Ben caught on to how it sounded.
"Kiera, show some respect," Ben scolded.
"Sorry, Master," Kiera apologized.
"It's just hard to believe that they're the ones who defeated Organization XIII," Helena said.
"Well, we did it together," Leaf said.
"I take it that you're here to support your apprentices, Ben," Rei said.
"Same way as you're here to support yours, Rei," Ben said.
"Hey, where's Zinnia?" Hikaru asked.
"She actually met a guy at the Grand Festival and she's been spending time with him," Lyra said.
"Speaking of the Grand Festival, congratulations on winning it, Kairi," Hikaru said.
"Thanks, Hikaru, that's very nice of you to say," Kairi said. "It would have gone either way."
"She's right. May did hold her own," Sienna said.
"They were both amazing in that," Martin said.
"Thanks," Kairi and May said.
"Blake and Nora will have their battles soon, so we'll be attending their matches if you don't mind," Ben said.
"Of course," Rei said.
Speaking of which, Blake was having his battle over in Stadium F. He had lost his Umbreon, Honchkrow, and Weavile, but he has his Obstagoon out to battle. He's battling a Trainer who has a Nidoking and it overpowers the Drill Pokémon with a Night Slash. Lisia cheered hard for Blake for his victory. Nora was having her battle in Stadium G as she lost her Sylveon, Galarian Weezing, and Azumarill, but she still has her Mawile out, and it took down a Rhyhorn with an Ice Beam. Tyson and Harrison had their battles. Tyson used his Sceptile and Donphan against an Arbok and a Hitmontop. Harrison used his Blaziken and Houndoom against a female Venusaur and a Crawdaunt.
"Now that the last of the battles have concluded for the remainder of the day, we shall proceed to the remaining two matches beginning tomorrow, so all of our Trainers who made it through their first matches will need to have their rest!" The announcer announced.
"Man, that was quite a day," Brendan said.
"Well, the battles I've through back in the Johto Pokémon League were hard. I had to struggle to keep going," Ethan said. He sighed. "But it was worth it in the end."
"I don't doubt it," Rei said, remembering the Johto Pokémon League. She smiled at the memory. "You and Sora worked so hard to make it to the top. Just don't forget that it's going to get harder from here."
"Harder?" Max asked.
"She's right. It's just getting started, and now I just have to wait and see what happens next," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
On the next morning, the matchups were set for the day, so Sora, Brendan, and Wally had to find out who they were up against next. Sora's battle is the second be in Stadium C. Before the battle, Sora exchanged Metagross, Salamance, Flygon, Aggron, Whishcash, and Walrein for Torkoal, Tropius, Ninjask, Linoone, Pelipper, and Mightyena. Sora decided to go with Gallade, Mightyena, Linoone, and Ninjask for this battle.
"Up next is our third battle in Stadium C! It's Sora Ketchum from Pallet Town against Roberto from Inua Town!" The announcer announced. Sora took out his two Pokéballs and threw them.
"Go! Mightyena and Linoone!" Sora called out. His Pokéballs opened and Mightyena and Linoone emerged from inside.
"Go! Exploud and Crobat!" Roberto called out. His Exploud and Crobat enters the battlefield ready for action.
"Now the stage is set! Sora is going with Mightyena and Linoone and Roberto is going with Exploud and Crobat!" The announcer announced.
"Begin!" The referee called out.
"Crobat! Poison Fang on Linoone! Exploud!Ice Punch on Mightyena!" Roberto ordered. Crobat came at the Rushing Pokémon with its fangs emitting poison while Exploud came at the Bite Pokémon with an icy punch.
"Mightyena! Use Crunch on Exploud! Linoone! Fury Swipes on Crobat!" Sora ordered. Mightyena rushed at Exploud and lands a bite on Exploud's arm as Linoone scratches at Crobat's face repeatedly.
"Sora makes a great start by using a Crunch and Fury Swipes against Crobat and Exploud!" The announcer announced.
"Linoone! Use Headbutt on Exploud! Mightyena! Dark Pulse on Crobat!" Sora ordered. Linoone rushes to land a Headbutt on Exploud Mightyena fires a Dark Pulse.
"Dodge and use Ice Punch again, Exploud!" Roberto ordered. Exploud dodged Linoone's Headbutt and lands an icy punch onto Linoone.
"Exploud lands a successful Ice Punch onto Linoone, making up for missing Mightyena the last time!" The announcer announced.
"That was good, Exploud! Use Hyper Voice!" Roberto ordered. Exploud fires a powerful soundwave and it struck both of Mightyena and Linoone. "Crobat! Come at Mightyena with Steel Wing!" Crobat heads down to Mightyena and smacks him with its wings.
"Crobat is making good use of Steel Wing on Mightyena in the cover of Exploud's Hyper Voice! Sora must be at a dissary!" The announcer announced.
"Mightyena! Thunder Fang on Crobat!" Sora ordered. Mightyena jumped and lands a Thunder Fang onto Crobat.
"Mightyena lands an electrifying comeback with a devastating Thunder Fang! Super-effective!" The announcer announced.
"Enough playing around! Exploud! Ice Punch on Mightyena!" Roberto ordered.
"Mightyena! Dark Pulse on Exploud!" Sora ordered. Mightyena fires Dark Pulse just when Exploud was about to come at Mightyena with an Ice Punch. "Now use Feint Attack!" Mightyena vanishes for a second and repappeared. He lands a hit onto Exploud.
"Cross Poison!" Roberto ordered. Crobat comes at Mightyena with all of its wings forming poison blades.
"Feint Attack!" Sora ordered. Mightyena vanished again and repearred. He lands a hit on the Bat Pokémon. "Dark Pulse!" Mightyena fired Dark Pulse, hitting Crobat, resulting in a knockout.
"Crobat is unable to battle!" The referee announced.
"Sora's Mightyena takes down Crobat, leaving three for Roberto to use!" The announcer announced as Roberto calls his Crobat back and took out his next Pokéball and threw it.
"Primeape! Go!" Roberto called out. His Pokéball opened and his Primeape emerged from inside.
"Roberto has sent out a Primeape against Sora's team! He has gained the advantage since Primeape is a Fighting-type, and that's a great matchup against Normal and Dark-type Pokémon!" The announcer announced. Sora calls back his two Pokémon and he took out two more and threw them. "Ninjask, Gallade! You're up!" His Pokéballs opened and Gallade and Ninjask emerged from inside.
"Or so it would seem! Sora has sent out a Gallade and a Ninjask in Mightyena and Linoone's stead!" The announcer announced.
"Doesn't matter if you send out new Pokémon to deal with my Primeape! That won't help you! Exploud! Ice Punch on Ninjask and Primeape! Use Rage Fist on Gallade!" Roberto ordered. Primeape came at Gallade with a Rage Fist as Exploud came at Ninjask with Ice Punch.
"Double Team!" Sora ordered. Ninjask creates several copies of himself to dodge Exploud's Ice Punch. "Gallade! Use Psycho Cut!" Gallade swings his arms, making a psychic energy, colliding with Primeape's Rage Fist.
"It looks like Primeape isn't going to fend off Gallade that easily! Roberto will have to try hard if he wants to stay in this battle!" The announcer announced.
"Primeape! Use Brick Break on Gallade!" Roberto ordered. Primeape came at Gallade with a Brick Break.
"Gallade! Use Low Sweep!" Sora ordered. Gallade swings his leg to kick the Pig Monkey Pokémon, but it dodges just by jumping.
"Primeape is proving to be too squirmy for Gallade to land a proper hit! Sora will have to try even harder than that to overcome this opponent!" The announcer announced.
"Ninjask! Use Fury Cutter!" Sora ordered. Ninjask and the copies flew at Exploud, slashing at Exploud.
"Ninjask and the copies managed to land a hit onto Exploud with a red-hot Fury Cutter! That attack gets stronger with every hit it lands!" The announcer announced.
"Ninjask! Fury Cutter again!" Sora ordered.
"I don't think so! Hyper Voice!" Roberto ordered. Exploud unleashed a much more powerful Hyper Voice, making all of the copies vanish, leaving only the original.
"Exploud uses a powerful Hyper Voice to find the real Ninjask without breaking a sweat!" The announcer announced.
"Gallade! Use Psychic!" Sora ordered. Gallade grabs Primeape in a psychic hold.
"Try to move!" Roberto ordered. Primeape tried to struggle, but Gallade's hold was too much for Primeape to break loose.
"Bring it down!" Sora said. Gallade brings Primeape down and fast, resulting in a knockout in Sora's favor.
"Primeape is unable to battle!" The referee announced.
"And that's two Roberto lost to Sora! Let's hope that his fourth Pokémon will make all the difference!" The announcer announced. Roberto called his Primeape back and took out his next Pokéball and threw it.
"Pidgeot! Go!" Roberto called out. His Pokéball opened and a Pidgeot emerged from inside.
"And it's Pidgeot that's out, now!" The announcer announced.
"Pidgeot! Aerial Ace on Gallade!" Roberto ordered. Pidgeot flew at Gallade, landing a devastating hit, knocking out Gallade.
"Gallade is unable to battle!" The referee announced.
"Sora has lost Gallade to Pidgeot! He's got three more Pokémon left under his disposal!" The announcer announced. Sora calls his Gallade back and smiled.
"You did your best, Gallade. Get some rest," Sora said. He took out Mightyena's Pokéball and threw it. "Okay, Mightyena! Back to action!" His Pokéball opened and his Mightyena emerged from inside.
"And Mightyena comes back out to battle!" The announcer announced.
"Pidgeot! Use Aerial Ace on Ninjask!" Roberto ordered. Pidgeot lands another hit with Aerial Ace on Ninjask, resulting in a knockout.
"Ninjask is unable to battle!" The referee announced.
"That's two Sora lost to Roberto!" The announcer announced as Sora calls back his Ninjask.
"You did a great job, Ninjask. Rest up," Sora said. He took out Linoone's Pokéball and threw it. "Linoone! Back to action!" Linoone's Pokéball opened and Linoone is sent back out to battle.
"Linoone is sent back out to battle along with Mightyena!" The announcer announced.
"Time to finish this! Exploud! Hyper Beam!" Roberto ordered.
"Mightyena! Dark Pulse!" Sora ordered. Mightyena fired Dark Pulse, colliding with Exploud's Hyper Beam.
"Exploud and Mightyena are both holding on with that Hyper Beam and Dark Pulse but how long will it hold?!" The announcer exclaimed. An explosion occurs between the both of them, dealing some heavy damage on the both of them. "Mightyena and Exploud have taken a huge amount of damage! Will it be enough to bring one of them down?!" Mightyena and Exploud were both knocked out by the explosion.
"Mightyena and Exploud are both unable to battle!" The referee announced.
"Now it's been turned into a single battle with Linoone versus Pidgeot! And it looks like the battle is going to be in Roberto's favor!" The announcer announced.
"And let's keep it that way! Pidgeot! Wing Attack!" Roberto ordered. Pidgeot flew at Linoone with its wings out.
"Pidgeot is coming right at Linoone with a Wing Attack, ready to strike!" The announcer announced.
"Linoone! Use Fury Swipes!" Sora ordered. Linoone slashes his claws at Pidgeot four times. "Slash!" Linoone slashed at Pidgeot.
"Heat Wave!" Roberto ordered. Pidgeot unleashed a Heat Wave, hitting Linoone on the mark.
"Pidgeot gives Linoone a hit with a red-hot Heat Wave! Things are really starting to cook up now!" The announcer announced. Sora grits his teeth.
"That Pidgeot is strong. He must have been it for last," Sora said in his thoughts. He looked at Linoone, knowing he wasn't going to call it quits. "I won't give up if Linoone won't. But that Aerial Ace is going to be tricky." He then gets an idea. "Aerial Ace! That's it!"
"Time to end this for real! Pidgeot! Aerial Ace!" Roberto ordered. Sora grinned.
"Thought so," Sora said. Roberto looked at Sora, seeing the grin on his face.
"What's he grinning about?" Roberto asked in his thoughts. Pidgeot flew right at Linoone.
"Grab on!" Sora called out. Linoone grabs hold of Pidgeot in the face and climbed on its back, surprising everyone, including Kairi, Rei, Ben, and the rest of their friends.
"I do not believe what I am seeing, ladies and gentlemen, but Linoone just climbed aboard of Pidgeot after using Aerial Ace! What kind of trick could he have up his sleeves?" The announcer asked.
"Shake Linoone off!" Roberto called out. Pidgeot flew around, trying to get Linoone off its back, but it's no use, because Linoone is holding on tightly.
"Linoone is holding on to Pidgeot like a cowboy riding on a horse Pokémon, but it's not staying on! I mean, yippee ki-yay!" The announcer announced.
"Okay, Linoone! Fury Swipes!" Sora ordered. Linoone slashes at Pidgeot repeatedly on Pidgeot's back. "Follow with Headbutt!" Linoone headbutts Pidgeot on the head, making the Bird Pokémon fall like a broken kite.
"Pidgeot is coming down, and judging by how Linoone landed those hits, it looks like it's going to be a real nasty fall!" The announcer announced. Linoone jumps off before Pidgeot lands on the ground very hard. "Pidgeot is, but it doesn't look like it's out!"
"Get up, Pidgeot!" Roberto called out. Pidgeot struggles to get back up on its feet.
"Linoone! Slash!" Sora ordered. Linoone rushed at the Bird Pokémon and slashed at Pidgeot, dealing some heavy damage. Pidgeot fell on its back, beaten.
"Pidgeot is unable to battle! Linoone wins! The winner is Sora from Pallet Town!" The referee announced.
"And what a surprising victory! When it looked like it was curtains for Sora, he throws it right back at Roberto!" The announcer announced. Roberto calls back his Linoone and approached Sora with a smile.
"Hey, that was an awesome battle, Sora. I can see why you won the Kanto and Johto Pokémon Leagues," Roberto said, holding out his hand. Sora took his hand and shook it.
"Thanks, man. You were pretty awesome, too," Sora said. Roberto smiled over how nice Sora is.
Up to Ben and his apprentices, Ben smiled, feeling proud of Sora for his victory.
"Well done, Sora," Ben said.
"Wow, no wonder he's the Pokémon League Champion of two regions," Jeanette said.
"My sister was absolutely right about Kaito's son having a lot of potential," Elise said.
"You think he could go for thirds in this tournament?" Monica asked.
"Now, that I'd like to see," Kiera said, interested.
"It won't be done that easily. That is an accomplishment no Pokémon Trainer has ever done before. Not even the Lance of the Kanto Elite Four could have accomplish that goal," Charmaine said in a low voice.
"Charmaine is correct. No Pokémon Trainer has ever met that goal. But as Quincy Jin would say: 'There's a first time for everything'," Ben said.
"He's right, but we'll have to wait and see," Hikaru said.
After Sora's battle, Brendan, Wally, Morrison, Tyson, Harrison, Blake and Nora each had their battles and won, earning one more chance to make it to the next round.
On the next day, Sora was having his third and final battle in the double battle portion of the Hoenn Pokémon League, so he's having a match against a young man wearing a pair of glasses. He is dark-skinned and he has long hair going down to his shoulders. He has a goatee reaching down to his chest. Sora exchanged Ninjask, Linoone, Mightyena, and Gallade for Glalie, Manectric, Seviper and Zangoose. He decided to go with Glalie, Tropius, Seviper, and Zangoose for the match. And it would be the last battle. Brendan, Wally, Morrison, Blake, Nora, Tyson, and Harrison have bested their opponents, leaving Sora the last one. It has officially started.
"And here is our last battle for the day! From Pallet Town, we have the Pokémon League Champion of Kanto and Johto, Sora Ketchum battling it out with Shaggy from Dewford Town! This is the last chance these two have in moving on, and only one of them will be walking away a winner, so let's see how well it goes!" The announcer announced as the referee took his place.
"Trainers, choose your Pokémon and begin!" The referee announced.
"Makuhita, Sealeo! Go!" Shaggy called out in a Jamaican accent. Both of his Pokémon emerged from inside, ready to battle. Sora took out his two Pokéballs and threw them.
"Zangoose, Seviper! Let's go!" Sora called out. Seviper and Zangoose emerged from inside, ready to battle and wishing each other good luck.
"Shaggy has chosen Makuhita and Sealeo while Sora has sent out a Zangoose and a Seviper! Zangoose is at a disadvantage against Makuhita since Zangoose is a Normal-type Pokémon, but Sora is using two Pokémon have been natural born enemies since the dawn of time! What could he have planned with this?" The announcer asked.
"Zangoose! Night Slash on Sealeo! Seviper! Poison Tail on Makuhita!" Sora ordered. Zangoose rushes at Sealeo as Seviper started to swing his blade-like tail.
"Makuhita! Use Fake Out on Seviper! Sealeo! Use Powder Snow on Zangoose!" Shaggy ordered. Makuhita came at Seviper and smacked him. Seviper then flinched. Sealeo blew a Powder Snow at Zangoose, hitting the Cat Ferret Pokémon on the mark, but he keeps on going and lands a strong Night Slash on Sealeo.
"Seviper flinches, but Zangoose keeps going to nail Sealeo with that Night Slash!" The announcer announced.
"Seviper! Poison Fang on Sealeo! Zangoose! Metal Claw on Makuhita!" Sora ordered. Seviper lunges at Sealeo with a Poison Fang, landing a hit. Sealeo ends up being poisoned by Seviper's Poison Fang. Zangoose came at Makuhita with Metal Claw.
"Sealeo has been poisoned with Seviper's Poison Fang while Zangoose lands a hit with its Metal Claw! How is Shaggy going to deal with that?" The announcer asked.
"Makuhita! Use Force Palm on Seviper!" Shaggy ordered. Makuhita lands a Force Palm on Seviper. The Fang Snake Pokémon ends up being paralyzed.
"Seviper is now paralyzed by Makuhita's Force Palm!" The announcer announced.
"Sealeo! Frost Breath on Seviper!" Shaggy ordered. Sealeo blew Frost Breath, landing a critical hit onto Seviper. Sealeo is hurt by the poisoning.
"Seviper's definitely going to feel that in the morning!" The announcer announced. Seviper then sheds his skin, undoing the paralysis.
"Seviper! Poison Tail on Makuhita!" Sora ordered. Seviper moved quickly and lands a hit with Poison Tail.
"Seviper's paralysis has been undone!" The announcer announced.
"Seviper was paralyzed just a little while ago, so how did he get over it so fast?" May asked.
"It's Seviper's ability called Shed Skin. Snake Pokémon like Ekans, Arbok, and Seviper, and cocoon Pokémon like Metapod, Kakuna, Cascoon, and Silcoon uses this ability to shed their skin and heals itself from status conditions like paralysis, burns, and poisoning," Riku said.
"Sealeo! Frost Breath on Seviper again! Makuhita! Force Palm on Zangoose!" Shaggy ordered. Sealeo fired Frost Breath at Seviper while Makuhita comes at Zangoose with Force Palm.
"Dodge it!" Sora called out. Seviper and Zangoose dodged just by jumping out of the way in time. "Metal Claw and Poison Tail!" Zangoose lands a Metal Claw on Makuhita while Seviper lands a Poison Tail on Sealeo. The Ball Roll Pokémon was still standing, but Makuhita was knocked out.
"Makuhita is unable to battle!" The announcer announced.
"Zangoose lands a knockout against Makuhita despite a type disadvantage! Which ones will Shaggy will be sending out next?" The announcer asked. Shaggy calls Makuhita back and took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"You're up, Quagsire!" Shaggy called out. His Pokéball opened and his Quagsire emerged from inside.
"Shaggy has sent in a Quagsire to deal with Sora's two Pokémon! Quagsire has the advantage over Seviper as a Ground-type Pokémon!" The announcer announced.
"Quagsire! Mud Shot on Seviper!" Shaggy ordered. Quagsire fired Mud Shot right at Seviper.
"Zangoose! Use Slash to cut that Mud Shot!" Sora ordered. Zangoose slashed Quagsire's Mud Shot, saving Seviper.
"Zangoose just saved Seviper from that Mud Shot!" The announcer announced.
"Sealeo! Frost Breath! Quagsire! Mud Shot again, but aim at Zangoose this time!" Shaggy ordered. Sealeo and Quagsire aimed their attacks at Zangoose this time.
"Zangoose!" Sora called out. Zangoose didn't have time to dodge, so Seviper leapt in front of Zangoose, taking the hit for his best friend. Zangoose was dismayed over how bad Seviper was hurt, and Sora was just as surprised.
"I do not believe what I just witnessed! I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it, but Seviper has taken the hit for Zangoose! I never thought I'd live to see the day!" The announcer announced. The Fang Snake Pokémon was knocked out by the two combo attacks.
"Seviper is unable to battle!" The referee announced.
"Sora's Seviper is down for the count! Sora now has three left to use!" The announcer announced as Sora calls Seviper back inside.
"Get yourself a good rest, Seviper," Sora said. He looked over at Zangoose who was now filled with worry. "Don't worry, Zangoose. We won't let Seviper's efforts go to waste." He took out another Pokéball and threw it. "Tropius! You're up!" His Pokéball opened and Tropius emerged from inside.
"Sora has sent out a Tropius to battle against Quagsire and Sealeo!" The announcer announced.
"Tropius! Use Magical Leaf on Sealeo!" Sora ordered. Tropius unleashed Magical Leaf and it struck Sealeo, dealing some heavy damage due to its weakness to Grass-type moves and its poisoning. Sealeo was knocked out.
"Sealeo is unable to battle!" The referee announced.
"Sealeo had been taken down by Tropius's Magical Leaf! Now Shaggy's got one left to use!" The announcer announced as Shaggy calls his Sealeo back and he takes out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Feraligatr!" Shaggy called out. His Pokéball opened and his Feraligatr emerged from inside.
"Now, Shaggy has sent out a Feraligatr to battle against Tropius and Zangoose!" The announcer announced.
"Okay, it's a known fact Grass-type Pokémon has an edge over Water-type Pokémon, so I'm going to bet my Keyblade that guy's Feraligatr knows at least one Ice-type move since Water-type Pokémon can use Ice-type moves," Sora said.
"Feraligar! Blizzard!" Shaggy ordered. Feraligatr unleashed a Blizzard at Tropius and Zangoose.
"Feraligatr is unleashing a strong Blizzard!" The announcer announced.
"I knew it. Zangoose! Get on Tropius's back!" Sora called out. Zangoose climbed on the Fruit Pokémon's back and flew up.
"A close shave for Tropius and Zangoose!" The announcer announced.
"Tropius! Magical Leaf on Quagsire!" Sora ordered. Tropius fired Magical Leaf, hitting Quagsire, resulting in a knockout.
"Quagsire is unable to battle!" The referee announced.
"Shaggy loses three Pokémon to Sora! It's Feraligatr against two opponents at once!" The announcer announced.
"Feraligatr! Ice Punch on Tropius!" Shaggy ordered. Feraligar came at Tropius.
"Zangoose! Night Slash!" Sora ordered. Zangoose jumped off of Tropius and collides Night Slash with Ice Punch.
"Zangoose cancels out Feraligatr's Ice Punch with a Night Slash!" The announcer announced.
"Tropius! Dragon Hammer!" Sora ordered. Tropius swings his neck back and then forward, slamming his heads onto Feraligatr.
"Tropius lands a heavy blow onto Feraligatr with a hard-hitting Dragon Hammer!" The announcer announced.
"Feraligatr! Use Ice Punch on Tropius again!" Feraligatr lands a strong Ice Punch onto Tropius, dealing some heavy damage. "Finish it with Aqua Tail!" Feraligatr swings its tail at Tropius, hitting it hard.
"Feraligatr smacks Tropius hard with a nasty Aqua Tail!" The announcer announced. Tropius fell to the ground, beaten.
"Tropius is unable to battle!" The referee announced.
"Sora now has two Pokémon left to use, so he has to make his next one count!" The announcer announced as Sora calls his Tropius back and he took out his next Pokéball and threw it.
"Alright, Glalie! Your turn!" Sora called out. His Pokéball opened and Glalie emerged from inside.
"And Sora has sent out his Glalie to deal with Feraligatr!" The announcer announced.
"Feraligatr! Superpower on Glalie!" Shaggy ordered. Feraligatr charges at Glalie with a Superpower.
"Zangoose! Use Shadow Claw! Glalie! Ice Fang!" Sora ordered. Zangoose came at Feraligatr with a Shadow Claw as Glalie came at it with Ice Fang. Zangoose lands a heavy slash onto Feraligatr, but it uses Superpower to knock Zangoose to the side and then land a hit on Glalie. The Face Pokémon managed to get back up, but Zangoose struggled to stand back up, but fell forward, beaten.
"Zangoose is unable to battle!" The referee announced.
"Now it's a single battle with Ice versus Water! Let's see if Sora's Glalie will freeze Feraligatr in its place or will break that ice!" The announcer announced.
"Feraligatr! Aqua Tail! Let's go!" Shaggy ordered. Feraligatr came at Glalie with Aqua Tail, hoping to land a hit.
"Dodge and use Headbutt!" Sora ordered. Glalie dodged Feraligatr's Aqua Tail and lands a Headbutt, dealing some heavy damage. "Use Freeze-Dry!" Glalie releases a gust of cold air from his mouth at Feraligatr, dealing some heavy damage. Not only that, but Feraligatr was frozen solid.
"Ooh! I think I felt that chill from up here! Glalie has unleashed a chilling Freeze-Dry! And Feraligatr has now been turned into an ice sculpture!" The announcer announced.
"Wow, I didn't think Sora's Glalie had such a cool move. No pun intended," Ventus said.
"Pikachu," Sparky said.
"I never seen that move before. What was that?" Rui asked.
"It's Freeze-Dry. It's an Ice-type move that not only freezes an opponent, but it also deals a super-effective hit on Water-type Pokémon," Max said.
"And it works well for Sora," Roxas said.
"Pikachu," Xipak said.
"No! My Feraligatr!" Shaggy exclaimed.
"Headbutt!" Sora ordered. Glalie lands a Headbutt on the Big Jaw Pokémon, shattering the ice and resulting in a knockout.
"Feraligatr is unable to battle! Glalie wins! The winner is Sora from Pallet Town!" The referee announced.
"And Sora is the last Trainer to move in the next round! The double battle portion of the competition has concluded, so tomorrow will be a series of single battles, and the use of three Pokémon each! But we'll get to that tomorrow once our competitors have rested from our days of fierce battling!" The announcer announced.
Sora along with Brendan, Wally, Blake, Nora, Tyson, and Harrison have made it to the next round, but we'll have to end it here for right now, so stay tuned if you wanna witness some hard-hitting battles.
