Hello, I'm still continuing this story, and I'm excited to announce that the rewrite Chapter 1 is finally completed, which also begins the first Chapter of this story.
I apologize for the long wait for this chapter. Originally, I was planning to release Chapter 1 in the first month of this year. However, the beginning of 2024 didn't go well for me. I've summarized my experience in my other story, "One Piece X RWBY," but I can give a brief overview here. To start, I gotten sick during my sister's birthday. Then after recovering, my dog, who had been with me since childhood, sadly passed away. After properly grieving for my dog, I returned to writing this chapter. However, there was a bit of a point in the chapter that I had trouble with, but I will get into more detail at the end of this chapter.
So yeah. Again, I really do apologise for the long wait. But I hope the weight was worth it.
But before we begin this, let me respond to your reviews.
To warrior of six blades: Thank you. I thought it would fit for Qrow to tell the history of Team MGEM. As for what that name is short for, it's shortened to Magnum. Regarding Salem, I agree that this would probably be her most difficult and challenging reincarnation of Ozma that she's ever had yet. And for Cinder. Oh, ha ha, she's going to have a big reality check when she finds out that Ozpin newest reincarnation is none other than the captain of Team MGEM.
To austintristan16: To your questions. Yes, the Ferry clans and the Giant clans will be added to this version of Remnant, which they will get their own episode in the History of Remnant. But I'm pondering on if I should give the Fairies and Giants there each episode or put them into one episode. And for any other races, I'll probably just stick with the five main races. As for Oscar, he will still appear, but that will be around once we reach Volume 6. And to your final question. The day when Team MGEM, so and so, attacked Vacuo was 12 years ago. I probably should have added that in the history of Team MGEM. So, I changed it to (12 years ago) instead of (one day.) And I'm sure Ruby can handle Meliodas better than Elizabeth. Don't forget, she's probably been taught by her sister, father, and uncle to deal with boys like Meliodas. I think at least.
To Nathan Ramos: I'm glad you enjoyed Qrow explaining the history of Team MGEM in this version of Remnant. I love your story on how Team MGEM met Salem. However, in the current story, Team MGEM hasn't met Salem just quite yet, which will be explained in the next chapter. And as for Ruby. Well, I was thinking of making the Silver-eye Warriors be descendants or followers of the Goddess. Because I think it will make sense if those two are connecting in a way.
Now then, with all of that out of the way, let's start this.
The following story is a fanfiction, I do not own any of these titles. RWBY is created by Monty Oum, while Seven Deadly Sins and Four Knights of the Apocalypse are created by Nakaba Suzuki. Please enjoy the official release.
This is the story of, The Four Sins of Remnant. Chapter 1.
[Meeting the Strange Boy]
(Once upon a time, there existed two more factions in the world of Remnant. Not just mankind and the Faunuses, or even the dark creatures of Grimm. But two very unique species, that one was born from the light, while the other was born from the darkness.)
(The first factions that were born from the light, were called Angels. These Angels were majestic and very captivating to the human eye, especially when showing off their elegant white wings. Angels were very kind, showing compassion to humans and Faunus, even helping them to sort out their differences and protecting them from the dark creatures of Grimm. The Angels' solemn duty was to kill any creatures born from the darkness, especially the mindless creatures of Grimm. However, there is a different species that was even worse than the Grimms.)
(The second faction that were born from the darkness, were called Demons. Demons appeared more daemonic and terrifying, much more so than the Grimms. However, there were some Demons that appeared less daemonic, with some even mistaken for humans, until they displayed the black markings around their bodies. Many species in Remnant saw them as similar to the Grimms because they had the ability to control darkness, which was somewhat true. However, the Demons possessed a simple thing that the Grimms lacks… a soul. But unfortunately, there were some Demons who caused more damage and despair then the dark creatures of Grimm.)
(And because of that. The Angels and the Demons were at war with each other. The Angels saw the Demons as mindless creatures like the Grimms, even worse than them. They would witness the demonic creatures kill innocents and devour the souls of Humans and Faunus. So as their duties, they would have to eradicate every single Demon in Remnant.)
(As for the Demons, they found it insulting that everyone in Remnant compared them to those mindless creatures of Grimm. Sure, they may have been born from the same darkness, but that doesn't make they were anything like the Grimms. But what was even worse, that the Angels were killing them, which they couldn't allow innocent Demons to be slaughtered. So, if the Angels wanted to start a war, then the Demons would be the ones to end it.)
(However, what both factions failed to realise is that both factions were equal in strength, numbers, and magical power. Making this war to never have an ending, and would continue for all eternity. But that change when two very important people cross paths for the very first time.)
(In a large forest, there was an open area where two individuals stood in the middle of the large area. To the left side was a demon that gave off a terrifying aura that could even make a Grimm quiver in his presence. He was known as the Demon General, who was feared and highly respected among his fellow Demons. And to the right side was an Angel that gave off a gentle warm that could bring a smile to an entire kingdom. She was known as the Kind Angel, who was kind to all creatures, even to those who are considered to be her enemies.)
(These two are known to be the most powerful individuals in their respective clans, and yet, they've never crossed paths during this never-ending war, until this very moment.)
(But surprisingly, the two warriors didn't draw their weapons. Instead, the two engage in a conversation; like, what was their reasoning of being a part of this war? What were they fighting for? And what is their goal?)
(As the two explained their reasoning for being a part of this war, they were both surprised that their goal were exactly the same, which was… to end the war between the Demons and the Angels.)
(And so, the Demon General and the Kind Angel decided to work together to end this war. They both agree that they needed to convince their people of ending this war. So, the two warriors parted ways and went to their people.)
(The Demon General, has just explained to his people that they should end this war with the Angels, catching a lot of Demons off-guard. It was strange to hear, that the Demon General wanted to end the war with the Angels. At first, they were confused, but seeing the General's usual stone-cold expression, that he was serious, making all of them yell in anger at their General. The Demon General heard his people's anger towards him. But he needed his people to understand of why they should end this war. So he shouted back with a commanding voice, getting all of the Demon's full attention. The Demons thought that the Demon General would hurt them, but instead, they heard the General in a much more gentle and kinder voice, catching all the Demons off guard once again. The General explains why they should end their war with the Angels. The Demons, hesitated at first, but they decided to hear the Demon General out. And so, they listened.)
(As for the Kind Angel, she explained to her people the same thing, that they didn't have to fight the Demons any more! That they didn't have to spill blood in Remnant any more! That they can end this war once and for all! The Angels weren't surprised to hear that from her, matter-of-factly, they were getting sick and tired of her always trying to convince them that Demons weren't soulless monsters. They'd known she was kind to all creatures in Remnant, but recently she's been showing kindness to Demons for some reason. They always told her that the Demons showed no compassion for life, that their only purpose was to destroy everything, just like those mindless Grimms. But she strongly argued this, telling them they weren't mindless creatures, that they had a soul! She even tells them that she made a friendship with the Demon General! And hearing that, their uncaring expression changed into shock and disbelief, how did she become friends with the most heartless Demon out of all of them? It was impossible. At first, they thought she was lying. But just seeing her expression, she was serious. So, they asked her how, which the kind Angel gladly explained how she met the Demon General. And so, they listened.)
(It wasn't easy, it took time for both clans to stop fighting. But eventually, they did it. They finally put an end to this war, a war that many thought would continue for all eternity. And with the war over, the Angels went back to protect Humanity and Faunuses, with now the assistance of the Demons. The Demon General, and the Kind Angel, were happy to see that they achieved peace in Remnant, seeing both of their clans were living as equals. However, not everyone was happy that their war had ended.)
(Their God, who was responsible for creating the realm of Remnant. He was very unhappy that the Angels and Demons decided to end their war. So, he descended down to Remnant and confronted his creations. He told them commandingly that they should keep on fighting with each other, that it was their purpose.)
(No one in Remnant dares to challenge their God, not even the powerful Angels and Demons dare to challenge their God. He was the most powerful being in existence, no one could oppose him, and no one could deny his orders. Except, for two people.)
(The Demon General, and the Kind Angel, stood before their God, and shouted denyingly at their God, saying That they wouldn't obey his commands any more! That they refused to obey him any more! That they won't let him control their lives any more! And they won't let him control the people of Remnant any more!)
(The Evil God was furious. Two of his creations dare to disobey him!? Their God, their creator! He was the very reason the world even existed. So, the evil God decided to destroy the two of them, not just the two fools, but the realm of Remnant, as punishment for denying their God.)
(The Demon General, and the Kind Angel, summoned their weapons and got into a fighting stance. The two knew that this would be the toughest battle in their entire life. And yet, they felt no fear, no doubts in their minds, the only thing they had was their determination to free the people of Remnant from their Evil God)
(The two battled their creator, but they underestimated the Evil God's power, there were even a couple of times they were almost destroyed by him. But… they wouldn't give up! They wouldn't give up and let their God destroy their world! So they used every single strength they had left! Overwhelmed their Evil God! And with one final strike, the Evil God collapsed onto the soil of Remnant, defeating their creator, once and for all.)
(And at last, the Demon General and the Kind Angel can now enjoy this piece they worked so hard for. But… they knew deep down there would be other people that wanted to destroy this piece. So, to make sure of that, they vowed to each other that they would protect Remnant from any threats. And they would do it… together.)
"And they lived happily ever after. The end." Said the motherly voice of Summer Rose, slayer of monsters and baker of cookies. She was reading a fairytale story to her daughters, Ruby and Yang who were currently lying in their beds. Summer's six-year-old daughter was already sound asleep, while her four-year-old daughter was-
"Read it again read it again read it again read it again read it again read it again read it again, AGAIN!" Was shouted with excitement and jumping up and down on her bed.
"Shhh," Summer shushed gently, "careful Ruby. You might wake up your sister." She quietly says, to which Ruby quickly covers her mouth in a panic.
But both Summer and Ruby heard loud snoring coming from the order blonde. The two Roses looked at Yang, who was deeply asleep and out of her sheets, lying on her back and snoring loudly with a noticeable drool. Both mother and daughter look back at each other with a blank expression, and then it quickly changes into compressed giggles.
"Or not." Summer chuckles. "All right Ruby. It's time for you to go to bed."She says.
"Aww, but can you please read again, pretty pleeeease?" Ruby pleated.
Summer playfully raised an eyebrow at her daughter. "Again? But aren't you tired?" She asked, already knowing the answer.
"What!? How can I be tired after this story, Mommy? I mean, the Demon General, and the Kind Angel, stood up for what was right. And beaded up the bad guy and saved Remnant. They're soo cool!" Ruby says with absolute joy.
Summer chuckles at that response. Every night, Summer lets her daughters choose a fairytale story for her to read to them, fairytale stories like Red Riding Hood, Snow White, Beauty and the Beast, and Yang's personal favourite, Goldilocks and the Three Bears. But recently, the two, mostly Ruby, have been picking a fairytale story that was called The Demon General and the Kind Angel. It was a recent book that Summer bought, and when she read it to them for the first time, they instantly loved it. Her older daughter liked it, but it didn't become her new favourite, that one would go to her youngest daughter which became her personal favourite fairytale.
Summer rolled her eyes humorously. "Alright, I'll read it to you again." She smiles. To which, she watches Ruby quickly tuck herself into bed and wait patiently for her to start.
"But you better be asleep once I'm done with this story young lady." Summer bopped Ruby on the nose.
"Te-he. Okay, Mommy." Ruby giggles.
And so, Summer begins reading the fairytale story to her daughter for the second time. And with each page she turns to, Ruby gets more settled, slowly dozing off to sleep. And before long, she reaches to the final page of the story.
"So, to make sure of that, they vowed to each other that they would protect Remnant from any threats. And they would do it together." Summer glanced at her daughter, and saw she was sound asleep. "And they lived happily ever after. The end." She says, smiling warmly.
Summer closes the book and places it on a nightstand between Ruby and Yang's beds. She tucked Yang comfortably into her sheets. As she did, she heard her older daughter mumbling in her sleep, saying, "Out with a Yang." The fiery blonde whispered with a dreamy smile as Summer slightly chuckled. She gave her daughters a good night kiss and said she'd be back before they knew it, then she left their room and headed downstairs to get ready for her mission.
After packing her bag and saying goodbye to Tai, she left the island of Patch and headed to Vacuo, where she had a mission there. However, something went horribly wrong, when Tai and his daughters hadn't heard anything from Summer for weeks, they thought the worst. But they hope, hope that there Summer comes back home safely. But it was sadly crushed when they heard three words.
Summer… was… killed.
This is a tale of ancient times, an era of Huntsmans and Huntresses defending Remnant from the creatures of Grimm.
After the events of Beacon Academy's fall. The newly formed Team RNJR decided to journey the kingdom of Mistral, to find out Cinder's next plan and put a stop to her.
But along their journey, a huntsman named Qrow Branwen told them about a secret shadow war that only a select few know about, against a 3000-year-old witch, named Salem. However, Salem wasn't the only fret to Remnant.
Among the many Huntsmans and Huntresses, there was a group that betrayed the four kingdoms and attempted to take over Remnant, becoming mortal enemies to all Huntsmans.
They were known throughout Remnant as… Team MGEM!
[location, kingdom of Mistral]
Sitting at a lone tavern was a man named Qrow Branwen. He was at his local tavern when he stopped by Mistral. Usually, the raven Huntsman would enjoy his drink from a long journey and try to hit on some sexy waitresses. But right now, he was frustrated at the headmaster, Leonardo Lionheart.
He couldn't understand what Leonardo was thinking, not reporting anything to Ozpin was one thing, but not having any Huntsmans guarding the relic of knowledge was just reckless. But what truly made him frustrated was when he explained to Leonardo that the Branwen tribe could possibly have the Spring Maiden. And yet, Leonardo responded that they would send out a scouting squad in a few week's time, time they couldn't afford to waste! For all they know, Salem could be sending out her followers to go after the Spring Maiden.
Qrow sighs tiredly, 'Hope you come back soon Oz. We could really use you right now.' He thought.
"Well, well, well. Looks like Ozzy was right about you being here Qrow. Guess that means I owe him a coffee. He he he he he." Said a young cheery voice.
Qrow Branwen recognized the voice immediately, but it couldn't be right? The person he was thinking of would be much older by now, probably in their early 30s or even 40s. He turned around in his chair to face a young farmer boy who sounded like the person he had in mind, only to be shocked.
"Is that really you?…"
Jaune, Ren, and Nora were sitting in the living room while Ruby was in her room reading her comic books. They had just had a meeting with Headmaster Lionheart, hoping to find out information about Cinder and her companions, Emerald and Mercury. However, the meeting was disappointing as the headmaster could not provide any leads and only had fake transcripts to show.
Honestly, when they decided to travel to Mistral, their goal was just to stop Cinder on whatever she was planning. But it turned into defending the four academies that were guarding four relics and fighting against an ancient witch, something that they won't prepare for. With now the knowledge of magic and how humanity started, they wonder if anything else could surprise them at this point.
*Knock Knock Knock*
The three Huntsmans in training heard knocking at the front door. Jaune got up to see who was at the front door, as the blonde knight opens the door, he finds himself bewildered. He unintentionally opens the door wide enough for Ren and Nora to see who Jaune is greeting. Only to have the exact same expression as their leader.
Standing in front of the door, Jaune saw a small young boy with messy blonde hair and emerald-green eyes. The young blonde was wearing a white button-up shirt and a black sleeveless vest on top with a loosely red tie and wears two black boots without any socks. Jaune also noticed that the small boy was carrying a weapon. The scabbard was on the boy's back being secured by a brown leather belt with golden buckles that was looped around on the boy's left shoulder. But what truly shocked the group was the young boy's carrying a pass-out drunken Qrow.
"Yo!" The boy greeted them with a two finger salute.
"Uh… yo?" Jaune greeted back confusedly, not sure how to properly respond to this kid, who was carrying Ruby's uncle like a sack of potatoes.
"So, is Ruby here?" The young blonde asks. "Her uncle is… well, pretty drunk," he says.
"Hey, Ruby! There is a blonde kid at the front door who is carrying your drunk Uncle like a sack of potatoes!" Jaune says.
"WHAT!?" Ruby's shouting was heard throughout the room, which made everyone flinch in surprise except for the young boy.
Jaune let the young boy enter inside so he could place the passed-out Qrow somewhere comfortable. Ren and Nora were going to help the kid with Qrow, but surprisingly the small boy had no issue placing the raven huntsman on to one of the couchs. As the young boy did, Ruby came into the living room, marching towards her uncle.
Ruby glared at her uncle with disappointment. Sure, it was usual for her uncle to get drunk when he goes for a drink, but rarely passed out from drinking, meaning he drank more than usual which made Ruby worried for her uncle's well-being.
Her uncle was lucky that there was someone nice enough to carry him here to whatever bar he came from. Which reminded her, she faced the young boy with a kind smile.
"Thanks for caring my uncle back here. I hope he didn't cause you any trouble." Ruby says politely. However, she noticed that the young boy was analysing her, which made the red huntress feel uncomfortable.
"You have silver eyes. Meaning you're a silver-eye warrior?" The boy asked curiously.
"Oh, uh, Yeah. I guess," Ruby says nervously.
"I see." The young blonde closes his eyes and reflects on the information he received from her. He is certain that she has silver eyes, but he needs to confirm if she is a silver-eye warrior. He opens his eyes and gazes at the silver-eyed girl with a serious expression.
"Well, let's make sure about that." He says confusing the four Huntsmans in training.
Ruby was going to ask him what he meant by that, but out of nowhere the unnamed boy tripped himself and harshly fell face-first with a loud thud, which the group winced at.
"Ow." The young blonde mumbled.
Ruby, being the kindhearted person she is, went to help the fallen blonde boy. "Are you okay?" She asked with concern.
The young blonde got his face off the floor, which he now knew that Ruby was kneeling down slightly in front of him and giving him a helping hand. The boy smiled which made Ruby smile kindly. The boy reached out for Ruby's hand. But he stopped, which confused the red Huntress, but she suddenly froze up when she felt a hand groping her chest.
"Hm, the firm springiness." The boy says, squeezing Ruby's breast.
The room was silent, the only thing they could hear was a squishing sound that came from the blonde boy continuing to squeeze Ruby's breast and a passed-out Qrow who was lately snoring having no idea what was going on.
"Yep, you're definitely a silver-eye warrior." The boy smiled.
Ruby instantly slapped the blonde pervert as hard as she could, unintentionally using a bit of her ora with it. The slapped that Ruby made was so hard that the blonde boy was launched across the living room and slammed onto the wall then he slid off the wall and fell headfirst to the floor once again.
Ruby blushed a deep red, matching her red cape. Her entire body was shaking from embarrassment, to the point where her legs gave out and collapsed to her knees, which the remaining members of team JNPR quickly came to Ruby side as they were concerned for their friend.
"Well, that was a surprisingly hard slap." The young blonde said, generally surprised that the red caped girl put that much strength into her slap.
The boy got up from the wooden floor, but as he stood back up, he found himself facing the tip of a sword. The blonde boy looked up to see Jaune pointing his Crocea Mors at him threateningly, while Ren and Nora were beside there leader doing the same.
"So… Why are you all pointing your weapons at me?" The blonde boy asked curiously.
"I think you know why!" Jaune says, glaring at the blonde pervert angrily.
"Mmm… no, I don't." The blonde boy says, still not understanding what he did wrong, which made Jaune baffled at his casual response.
"Are you serious?! We are pointing our weapons at you because you groped Ruby!" Jaune angrily explained.
"Oh, that. Well, there is a reason why I did that." The boy says, which made the three Huntsmans suspicious.
"And that is?" Ren asks.
"Just wanted to." He said honestly.
Hearing that was his reasoning, the Huntsmans in training had mixed reactions. Jaune was baffled that the blonde boy didn't even try to hide his intention, Nora and Ruby had similar expressions of a mixture of confusion and anger, while Ren had his usual calm demeanour, yet his expressions show that he was disappointed.
"Nora." Ren said, getting his childhood friend attention.
"Yeah, Ren?" Nora says, wondering what her childhood friend wants.
"Break his legs." He said coldly, which made Nora gasp excitedly.
"Gladly." She said, grinning evilly. But before Nora could act on breaking his legs, the group noticed that the blonde boy seemed frustrated. Not at them, but at someone else?
'…'
"Well, I couldn't help myself." The boy said, pouting. "By the way, why did you make me trip myself back there?" He questioned.
'…'
"Oh yeah, I forgot you can read my mind." The boy says.
'…'
"Well, I'm thankful that I'll still be me. But I think after this, we should set up some ground rules." He says.
'…'
The blonde boy noticed that the four young Huntsmans were looking at him with confusion.
"Um, who are you talking to?" Ruby asked continuously.
"Ozpin." He responded casually, which only made the group even more confused.
With that, Qrow woke up and got up, groaning uncomfortably. He massages his head due to the massive hangover he has right now, but he noticed that his niece and her friends were pointing their weapons at his blonde companion. Although their expression didn't really fit for what he was seeing. His niece and her friends looked very confused while his blonde companion looked nonchalant.
"Did I… miss something?"
[To be continued]
Alright, that was the updated version of Chapter 1. I didn't make significant changes compared to the old version, at least for what I can remember. Also, you may have noticed I changed the title of this story to The Four Sins of Remnant. I thought it wouldn't make any sense to keep calling this story The Remnant Sin of Wrath, considering it was originally just going to be Meliodas in the story. But that's no longer the case anymore now that I have decided to add more 7DS to this story.
So, when I was writing the part for Summer, there was something that I didn't realise or even thought about. With the existence of Team MGEM, what point would Summer go after Salem if Team MGEM is doing that already? It would've been silly if Summer still went after Salem even though Team MGEM is doing that already. So I changed where Summer has a mission in Vacuo. As to what mission she had there. Well, that will be for you guys to figure out.
Also, another thing I haven't considered is Ozpin and Meliodas. In the old version of Chapter 1, I wrote the part where Meliodas was examining Elizabeth from the first episode, but instead of Elizabeth, it was Ruby. But as I was writing it, I thought to myself it wouldn't make any sense for Ozpin character to let Meliodas do that stuff to his student. So, I changed it where Ozpin made Meliodas tripped himself before he could do anything to his student. But unfortunately, he still got away from squeezing Ruby's forbidden melons.
Now, let me mention some stuff. I'm still going to work on the story and try to be considered with releasing new chapters. But I'm not too sure when they will be released, they might come out later or sooner. We'll just have to see how fast I can get them done.
Also, I had a question for you guys in the last chapter but I forgot to put it in. And that was, out of the members of the sin, which one would you pick for Ozpin's reincarnation? I am curious about which one you would pick for Ozpin. Although saying that, I have a feeling I'm going to see a lot of Ban and Escanor, and maybe King. But who knows? I might see some surprising ones.
Well, that's all. I'll see you guys next time.
