Chapter 58: We Don't Need No Stinking Rules
Two weeks had passed by since that raid on that hotel. Sunny had gotten a call saying to meet outside an abandoned oil derelict just on the outskirts of Los Santos. She brought Geraldine and Chelsea with. The call she got said to bring them both. It was going to be another mission similar to the last one. Only thing was though when they got to the location no one was there. They waited for over thirty minutes. But nothing.
"What do you think he wants?" Geraldine asked "It'd probably has to do something with that guy we kidnapped a couple weeks" Sunny guessed "Maybe they finally got something out of him". Sunny looked around "Where's Chelsea?" "I saw her standin' near near her car". Sunny went over to Chelsea car, she see's her squatting down and humming "What are you doing?" Sunny asked "Uh" Chelsea stammered "Nothing".
A strong smell like somebody pissed in a dirty stall hit her nose "Ar-Are you peeing?".
"No!" Chelsea denied "Yes" she then shamelessly admits "You're gross" Sunny spat "Don't judge, besides at least your cooch is smooth as a veal cutlet" Chelsea remarked "Hey don't say that...!" Sunny whispered "What? It's a complement. It's really smooth. Look I'll show mines if it'll make you feel better" Chelsea attempted to stand "Don't, I do not want to see your weird looking pussy" Sunny put her hand up "It's not weird looking, I do trim my lawn like every other woman out there" Chelsea pulled her panties and pants up. "Besides it's perfectly normal to pee when nobody is looking" Chelsea came over to Sunny "Well unless you're living like a hobo and eating a can of beans is it okay" she sarcastically quipped "Whatever I don't see why it's a problem" Chelsea shrugged.
Just then the door to the derelict opened. "Sorry for the wait" Pierce answered "Come on in, we got some work to do".
They walked down stairs to the center of the derelict which was half dark. In the center was Fletch tied to a chair. "What the fuck?" Sunny saw him. He had bruises all over his chest, it looked like a boxer had a few rounds with him. "After you picked him up Fletch wouldn't say anything, let's just say some people weren't too patient" Pierce looked at Sunny "It took a while but we got something" he announced "The buyer of the blue print is in two possible locations. So far we got one location in Vespucci Beach, a barber shop. The other one is unknown but we're going to find out and when you're take him out and retrieve those plans".
"Wakey wakey" he slaps Fletch. The beaten sack of meat starts to wake "You and Queen two are going to drive down to Vespucci, you're going to wait outside until I call".
"Queen three and I will be working on making him talk".
"You and me?" Chelsea looked at me "Exactly what are you going to do?" Sunny eyed Pierce "Like I said, we're just going to have a chat" he quickly answered "Okay" she politely took the hint "Here" he handed Geraldine a rifle case "If that first lead turns out to be a dud then expect that second to be the target" he instructs "When we do find him, get rid of him and take that briefcase off of him".
Fletch started to come around "Ugh fuck..." he groaned himself awake "Get going" Pierce orders.
"You going to be alright?" Sunny looked at Chelsea "Yeah, it's nothing I can't handle". Chelsea gave an understanding look. Yet on the inside she felt intimated by this agent. "Okay, we'll let you know when we get there".Sunny says as she and Geraldine go back to the surface. Chelsea saw the tools that were going to be apart of whatever what was going to happen "Where you in East Timor?" Pierce suddenly asked "Timor?" "It's an island country in the-"
"I know what is, lots of chaps went to Timor" Chelsea iterates "Yes they did, you didn't go?" he wondered "That's none of your business" she warned "Ugh where the fuck...?" Fletch searched around "Oh shit" he remembered the beating he took not to long ago.
...
It felt like eons since they were back at Vespucci Beach, nothing had changed. The same busy walkway. Same muscle heads bench pressing. Same fitness buffs jogging and doing yoga. Same bikini clad girls getting the sunburn of a lifetime if they're not careful. Sunny and Geraldine stood by as they observed. "Alright, we're here; now what?" Geraldine rolled down the window. Sunny took out her phone "Alright we're here, who are we looking for?".
"Working on it right now" Pierce answered.
...
So what is it to going to take for you to cooperate? Pierce leered at him
"I want my lawyer, you can't do this to me...I'm someone you shouldn't fuck with" Fletch attempted to sound intimidating "So we're going to talk. Understand one thing, I'm the one who decides whether you rot the rest of your life on a work farm in the Mid West or in a federal penitentiary with limited restrictions and a small cell with no window" Pierce took off his jacket "Now every time you don't cooperate, my associate here will start with start playing Tool Time".
Chelsea looked at the tools.
"Well look at this," she picks her first tool "a nail gun" she purrs "Oh Jesus" Fletch's heart skipped a beat "Now what does the buyer look?" Pierce politely asked "I don't know-uh let me think".
"No, not fast enough" Pierce tells him "Do it" he orders.
Chelsea came over with the nail gun "Wait! Come on! I'm trying to remember!". She put the gun on above his right kneecap "Argh! Ah god! You fucking psycho!" he screamed "What does this look like?" Pierce asked "He's-He's European and half bald".
Pierce got on his "Look for a half bald European guy".
...
"You see a half bald European guy in the joint?" Sunny asked, Geraldine looked at the barbershop.
"There's someone getting a cut but that's about it" she looked at her "No one fitting the description" Sunny answered "You sure?".
"I'm sure, we don't have another location right now. See what you can do on your end" "Get back to you when we have a lead".
Sunny looked at Geraldine "Come on, let's get something to eat" "Yeah, where to?".
...
Fletch looked at them "So that lead turned out to be a bust so I guess we're going to have double the stakes".
"Wait! Fuck I'm trying to remember!" he tried to hurry "Bzzt" Pierce imitated a buzzer "Queen three show what the lucky contestant his prize".
Chelsea grabbed a box cutter "Fuck! Please I'm trying to remember! Ugh! Fuck! What was it?!". The box cutter slices his pectoral "Oww! Oh you fucking whore! Oh! Oh!".
"Come on, what is it? The location?" Pierce asked "Cool Bean! The coffee shop in Del Perro! San Andreas avenue and Bay City avenue" Fletch said the name of the location "You better be right about this" Pierce warned "Just to be sure, Queen three give him a prize". Chelsea splashed rubbing alcohol onto the cut. "Argh!" he seered in pain "You fucking psycho bitch!" "Aw, I think he loves me".
...
Sunny finished the last of her call to Roberta just making sure she was okay "Talk to you later babe. Love you, bye". Geraldine and Sunny ordered Mediterranean food. Namely chicken kebab with yellow rice and spicy hummus.
They ate their food "Goddamn this is good" Geraldine finished her rice and hummus "I know, surprised we found a place like this" Sunny took a bite of her chicken "We got to eat at this place more" Sunny drank her lemonade. The whole place hadn't changed. Same busy streets. Same vendors selling tacos and hot dogs. Same amateur artists. Nothing changed.
Sunny's phone vibrated. "They gave us a location, Cool Bean. How about that. Del Perro is the next location" "That place on San Andreas and Bay City?" "Yeah," Sunny finished her hummus and tossed the tray into the trash bin. Geraldine threw hers away. They drove towards the intersection "So listen, what do you know about that guy?" Geraldine asked "Your guess is as good as mine. I don't know anything about him" Sunny answered "Like I said he just appeared in my house after my sister was kidnapped and that's about it, if I had an answer I'd give it to you but I don't" she adjusted her aviator sunglasses "How do you know he ain't gonna kidnapped us and force all of us to work for him forever?"
"Geraldine nothing is going to happen, like I said if anything happens then it falls on me and not on you".
They turn at the intersection "Shit bitch, you ready for that type of consequence? You ready for that type of price?" Geraldine eyed her "I've been pay for everything ever since I was thirteen, if that's what it takes then I got to pay it again" Sunny sternly tells Geraldine. "Alright this is the place, drop me off around the corner and take up position on a roof with the rifle. I'll be watching and give you the single to shoot" "Right".
Sunny put her wireless ear piece in her ear.
Geraldine starts to assemble her Remington 700.
'Alright; we're here' Sunny texted against the street lamp.
...
"Queen one and two are now that coffee shop, come on, what else is there?" Pierce eyed Fletch "Oh fuck, come on. I don't know anything more".
"Not good enough" he motioned to Chelsea to do her thing. She ruffles around and pulls a pair of pliers "Now, let's trim those nails".
"Come on! I'm being cooperative! I know my fucking rights!"
Chelsea put the pliers under his right ring and starts to tug "Stop! Fuck! Stop!" "Come on you!" Chelsea keeps on tugging. Another tug and another eventually the bloody nail is finally pulled "Well, guess you won't be diddling with anyone with that finger for a while".
"He has a mustache! And he's left handed!"
'Look for a European with a mustache, half bald and left handed'.
...
"Alright look for the same description with a mustache and left handed" Sunny radioed to Geraldine.
Geraldine stared down the scope and analyzed the coffee shop customers. She searched around until her eye catches a potential target
"Got one, wearin' a black suit. Half bald, wearin' glasses, looks European and usin' a phone. I see a briefcase, ask if the guy has the prints in the case".
'Are the blueprints in a briefcase?'.
...
"Alright, one last bit of information. Where are prints the located? Are they in a briefcase?" Pierce asked "Answer or we're going to play psycho surgeon next" he threatened "In-In a laptop! Inside the case! That's all I know I swear!".
'A laptop in a briefcase, eliminate the target; proceed with extraction of said object'.
...
"It's the guy, take the shot" Sunny radioed to Geraldine.
Geraldine lined up the sights.
Sunny walked towards the target, the bullet cracks through the air hitting the target in the temple.
Everyone screams as they try to figure what happened. Sunny stealthily grabbed the briefcase and hurried away.
"Get down quick and meet me around the corner" she ordered. 'The target's been dealt with. Got the case; heading back'.
...
"Target's been neutralized, so what do we do with you?" Pierce wondered "You sick fucks! I'm an American citizen! I have rights!" Fletch angrily seethed "If this was an ordinary police investigation then your lawyer would have gotten you out, guess what he's not here and as far you're concerned since you were cooperative; I've come to a crossroads. Either sending you to that work farm or that federal penitentiary I mentioned, I'm a little on where to send you. Hmm?" he hummed "Or maybe, just maybe I just end you..?".
"You motherfucker! You think you're so bad ass! Wait til I get my hands on you! Fuck yo-!" Pierce quickly put a bag over his head "We're done, good job" he praised Chelsea's handiwork "Whatever" she brushed the praise away "Are you sure you weren't in East Timor?" he questioned "Like I said none of your business".
"Heard a story about a pro Indonesian militia that terrorized a group of citizens. Killed, raped and mutilated people wherever they went. Funny thing about peacekeepers, they can only do so little. Can't intervene when a bunch of people are being murdered. Really frustrating. Then a little story went around, something about a rogue Australian female soldier tracking down the members of that militia and killing them all. Shot them, knifed a lot of them and even blew them up using improvised explosives".
"Like I said there were a lot of people in Timor...I wasn't one of them" Chelsea reiterates "Well maybe I'm wrong" "Maybe you are".
She quickly went up to get some air.
Her mind seemed fight back from what happened during that time of her army days.
The dead bodies litter the small store. The owner and his wife were dead. Both shot execution style.
Their only daughter with her hands tied behind her back. Her legs were heavily bruised, somebody decided to have their way with her. She lay there with at least several stab wounds all over her back, she lay face down in a pool of her own blood. Her throat was cut violently.
The customers weren't so lucky themselves. Hacked to pieces with homemade cleavers and machetes.
She stood there wide eyed, her mouth muttering incoherent words. The savage feeling started to creep into her soul. It's telling her that there is a lot of work to be done.
She gripped her head. Too much she thought. Too many bad memories. Even for her. Chelsea didn't want to think about that. Let alone thinking about being back there.
...
Sunny and Geraldine delivered the case to Pierce. He was pleased.
When asked about he expected to find "I'll let you know when we crack it open, what was he doing before he was killed?" he asked "He was talking on the phone. I don't know who though. Lest you want find yourself?" Sunny hints.
"Probably will in my spare time" Pierce mused "It might be a while before I can find anything. In the meantime enjoy some time to yourselves. I'll be in touch". With that Sunny went outside.
She noticed Chelsea being quiet; which wasn't like her. "You alright?" Sunny asked "Huh?" Chelsea broke out of her trance "Uh, yeah, just thinking" "About what?
"Just stuff, that's all"
"Okay..." "Sorry, I just had a bit of somewhat hard day" Chelsea half heartily whistled a tune "Well good news, we got some time off for ourselves" Sunny announced "Well what do we do?" Geraldine wondered "I don't know. Guessing Wolfe make us do something for him" Sunny deduced "Well whatever; we got time off. I think we've earned it".
"I'm tired, there's a bar in Sandy Shores. Maybe we can get a drink?" Chelsea suggested "Shit I'm down for that" Geraldine chimed in "Yeah why not, let's get something to drink".
With that they were already on the road. While Sunny and Geraldine were conversing Chelsea sat in the back and kept quiet. It seemed that peculiar from her military days got to her. It gnawed at her like a tick drinking blood. Just thinking about that made her uneasy. Let alone that phantom-for lack of a better word-knew about that. How exactly she'll never know. let alone she doesn't want know that how he knows.
She wonders if he knows something else.
