Chapter 3
Wedding
Bella
"Bella!", I heard my name called.
Who was that? No, please don't, I didn't want to.
"Bella, my darling, wake up."
That was Charlie's voice, wasn't it? Where was I? Oh my God, was the bachelorette party already over?
Cautiously I opened my eyes.
"Dad?"
From the looks of it, I was in my room.
But how ...?
"Yes, my darling. You need to get up. Your future sisters-in-law are about to pick you up."
"How did I get to bed?"
"I'm afraid I can't answer that for you. When I got home, everyone was already gone, and you were in your bed."
"I don't remember going to bed."
From the scent on me, I concluded that Alice had probably carried me to bed.
"Well, that must have been a great bachelorette party! Did you have fun?" laughed Charlie.
"No Dad, I hadn't!"
"Why not? Didn't you like the stripper? You girls are into that kind of thing."
Oh no, how did he know about the stripper! Alice must have told him!
"Not me ... but Angela!"
I had to laugh really when I called Angela's face before my eyes. She looked really happy when I handed her the stripper.
"What do you mean?"
"Since I didn't want to touch the stripper and couldn't, I passed him to Angela ... and she was beside herself with joy."
"Well, at least One had her fun."
Now we were both laughing.
"You must really love your Edward, my darling!"
"Oh yeah, Dad. More than my life."
"And does he love you the same way?"
"I'm his life, Dad. So yes, he loves me just the same."
"That's nice. I'm happy for you both."
Then Charlie gave me a kiss on the forehead.
"There! Now you really should get up and take a shower, or you'll be late for your own wedding."
"What time did the two say they'd be there?"
"They'll be here in about thirty minutes."
Charlie got up and headed for the door, then he added, "I'll see you at the Cullens' later, sweetheart! I'm off to the airport now to pick up Renée and her squeeze."
"Dad, his name is Phil!"
"Okay, I'm going to pick up Renée and Phil now, happy?"
"Yeah, see you later Dad ... And thanks."
"I'm happy to do it."
Then he disappeared.
I crawled out of bed and made my way to the bathroom. My face in the mirror told me that I hadn't slept very peacefully tonight.
Well, hopefully Alice and Rose could do something with my hair. It looked like a haystack.
I showered and washed my hair, but even after that they didn't look any better.
Alice
I was just on my way to Bella's with Rose to pick her up for her wedding.
In the meantime, the boys kept Edward busy. He was still not allowed to leave his room.
Somehow I felt sorry for him.
I had to laugh at this thought.
"What's so funny?"
"Was just thinking about our brother. The poor guy despairs in his room right now."
"Emmett wanted to play PlayStation with him to make the time go a little faster."
"I don't think he's in the mood for that. But I see he's giving in after all."
"And what does Jasper do? "
"He's picking up the car for Bella with Esmé. As it is, you can get started on your work after the departure of the two of them."
"This is going to be fun," Rose enthused.
"It looks very good when it's finished. I think Bella will like it."
"She certainly likes this car. I'm glad we were able to convince Edward not to buy a Ferrari. Fast this one will be too, I'll make sure of that," she said with a cheeky grin. "That way our brother will get something out of it, too."
We both laughed.
In the meantime, we had arrived at Bella's house.
I was so excited to see what she would say to my surprise. Fortunately, I already knew the answer. She would be mad at me once again at first, but then she would like it. Edward will make eyes. I'm sure he saw the first dress in my mind, but he doesn't know that I have a second one. Thus, both will be amazed and very grateful to me, I thought
Bella
I let my hair be hair and went to the kitchen. I wanted to have some breakfast.
I had no appetite at all, but I shouldn't go to the Cullens on an empty stomach. Alice and Rose would surely style me like a Barbie doll for a very long time. Who knows when I'd have a chance to eat. What was the saying? Better safe than sorry. Whereas, knowing Esmé, she had arranged for something to eat during the styling. So I could actually skip the food now. I'd be interested to know what Edward was doing right now. Maybe I should call him?
I picked up my cell phone, pressed the speed dial button, and it dialed his number.
My heart was racing as he immediately took off.
"Hello, my angel. I'm glad you called me," Edward said after only one ring.
"Good morning! I wanted to hear your voice!"
How I would love to hold my angel in my arms now. Hopefully, the last hours passed very quickly.
"I was going to visit you last night, but my family is very particular about wedding customs."
I just had to laugh really hard from the heart.
Wedding customs and vampires - what a performance!
"What do you find so funny?"
"I think it's funny that your family is so particular about it."
"Kind of yes and kind of no. The last few hours just don't want to go by fast enough," he sighed into the phone.
"Not long now, my darling, and then we'll belong together forever."
"I can't wait!"
"Me neither!"
Then our conversation was interrupted from two sides.
"Bella, Emmett just came back into the room, and I'm afraid I have to stop."
"No problem, your sisters just rang the doorbell."
"I'll see you in a bit."
"It will take a little while, my darling. Even though I'm already in your house, you can't see me until the wedding starts."
"I'm really looking forward to that."
"Edward!"
"Yes, my angel."
"Please promise not to read the minds of anyone who is present during my preparation."
"Why?"
"I want that you see me in my wedding dress only when I come down the stairs."
"Okay, I promise."
Then we both hung up at the same time.
I went to the door and opened it.
"What took you so long?" hissed Rose.
"Good morning, you two! Sorry, I was still on the phone with your brother."
"Good morning, Bella. What have you done to your hair, it takes me hours," Alice looked at me in horror.
"Are you ready?", Rose asked me.
"Do I need anything else?"
"No, we have everything you need with us, and I even have a surprise for you," Alice said.
"Not again, Alice."
"Believe me, Bella, you will be a little angry with me at first, but then you will thank me. I've seen it," she smiled.
"Good, then we can go."
I picked up my purse, closed the door, and walked to Rose's car.
The two had to pick me up because I didn't have a car at the moment.
My truck had unfortunately broken down, which of course pleased Edward very much. I had allowed him, should my car give up the ghost, he was allowed to buy me possibly a new one. But since we could not agree on which one, I still had none. I would have preferred an old used one again, but Edward thought it had to be a fast one like a Ferrari. I was glad we had an agreement regarding surprises. Edward was not allowed to give me anything bought, so I certainly did not get a new car from him for the wedding.
"Alice, can I get a tip regarding surprise?"
"No, you don't! Once Rose and I are done with your hair, you'll see. So be patient."
"Why do you always have to surprise me? You know very well that I don't want that!"
"Only this time it's a surprise for both of you," she said decisively.
What could she mean? What could it be if we both liked it?
"Don't think too much about it, Bella, you'll find out in two hours."
"All right, you win again."
"Welcome to the club," came from Rose, who just laughed.
"Thank you Rose," was all I could say.
Edward
Fortunately, it did not take much longer.
Alice and Rose should be arriving at Bella's house any minute now.
Just a few more hours and she will be mine forever. Then I can finally feel her fully and completely.
While I was like this in my thoughts, my cell phone vibrated.
It was my angel.
"Hello, my angel. I'm glad you called me."
"Good morning! I wanted to hear your voice!" she said, and I couldn't wait to finally see her again.
Time just didn't want to pass fast enough.
"I was going to visit you last night, but my family is very particular about wedding customs."
She just laughed sweetly into the phone.
It annoyed me that I couldn't see her.
"What do you find so funny?"
"I think it's funny that your family is so particular about it."
I actually do not.
"Kind of yes and kind of no. The last few hours just don't want to go by fast enough," I sighed into the phone.
"Not long now, my darling, and then we'll belong together forever."
Yes, forever!
"I can't wait."
"Me neither!"
Suddenly Emmett stood in front of me and gave me a nasty look.
"Bella, Emmett just came back into the room, and I'm afraid I have to stop. "
"No problem, your sisters just rang the doorbell."
"I'll see you in a bit."
"It will take a little while, my darling. Even though I'm already in your house, you can't see me until the wedding starts."
That's where she was wrong. I would see her in Rose's thoughts. She could block her thoughts the worst.
"I'm really looking forward to that."
"Edward!"
"Yes, my angel."
Bella sounded worried.
Why?
"Please promise not to read the minds of anyone who is present during my preparation."
"Why?"
"I want that you see me in my wedding dress only when I come down the stairs."
Should I tell her that I had already seen her in this dress? No, I was not allowed to!
"Okay, I promise."
Then we both hung up at the same time.
Somehow I felt now a little bad that I had seen Alice thoughts from the fitting. I hope my angel doesn't notice when she then comes down the stairs in this great dress, I thought.
"Well, little brother. Nervous?"
"Oddly enough, somewhat."
"That's normal. It was the same with my first wedding with Rose. From the third, it's over. It's just a matter of practice," Emmett laughed.
"But only the first one is special," I daydreamed to myself.
"Yes, that's her! So, and now I'll leave you alone again. I have to help the others downstairs."
"I'll be a good prisoner and wait in my room."
I had to smirk.
"And don't forget what you just promised Bella," he winked at me and left.
I turned on the stereo, lay down on the couch and dreamed of my angel in her beautiful wedding dress.
