Samsung contacted me. They wanted to work with me on their new device. They did not tell me on the phone about it, they wanted to meet me before saying anything. I did not know why but if the contract was real and nothing was changed before I decided to sign with them, I would get a lot of money.

From the short conversation I had with the spokesperson, they really wanted to adapt my game on their new platform. I could understand. I mean, I was an independent developer with a game known through the world and even with all those exaggerated rumors, was well liked.

I snorted at the surname, the creator. I mean, really? The community was speaking as if I was so kind of entity able to gift powers and reshape life. It was hilarious. I still had to see anyone with those so called powers. The videos were well made but nothing a good animator could not do.

Back to Samsung, they sent to people from their US branch to meet me in a small coffee near my place. One of them had a suitcase attached to his wrist and when they showed me their device I understood. It would change a lot of thing for gaming and not just that, for everything.

I could feel it's potential, it made me giddy. The people sent by Samsung may had seen it because they were smiling at me.

After a few hours of talks we had a deal. They would send me a device in a week or so and I'd begin adapting the game for it. The things I'd be able to do with it… I had plans for my game and this would make it even more realistic.

They wanted powers? I'd give them nightmare with the things I'd be able to add on the VR headset. Already I was preparing the Mh'ithrha update, the master of the hound. A being dedicated to hunting, not good nor evil. Yet, if you failed to hunt after he blessed you, there would be… a punishment? Being hunted for failing a hunt would scare more than one player.

Anyway, the update would soon be ready and I would have time to work on the FIGE, it would be a master piece.

The creatures were appearing more often. Without surprise, it coincided with the rise of powered individuals. Already they had to dispatch agents on unprotected lands to keep the monsters contained out of the lands.

They had to work with other agencies to keep the public oblivious of those beasts. Most only knew of the game's benefits and it was important to keep it that way for now.

Every sociologist and biologist, be it military or civilian, agreed on this: it was an opportunity for humanity to be more, better. It would help them to evolve as a species and achieve what was seen as impossible before.

Already some men, mostly soldiers, were displaying feat of strength only heard in legends. A Russian corporal had been able to lift a truck above his head for ten minutes, An American soldier dodged a bullet with his reflex alone, a Bolivian general managed to punch through a metal plate with his fist, etc…

Civilians were already getting used to show of powers and in no time, it would be the norm to display them in public.

Truly, having to deal with monsters for all those benefits was a minor price to pay.

SHIELD changed their policy and decided, alongside most governments, to keep an eye on the creator. Most of the houses around his home were brought and agents were placed here to keep an eye on him, to make sure nothing happened to the man that brought humanity next step for evolution on a silver platter for them.

Even better, one of the agent reported a meeting from the target with Samsung's people to adapt his game on FIGE, their secret VR headset
