(Chapter 2: meet goals to unleash greatness)

"Right, left, right, left."

A small boy, only two weeks old, could be seen walking through the woods with great difficulty. Floating in the air behind him was a 5 x5 x15 foot block of stone. He wore a dirty green cloth around his waste, and his green eyes glow with determination. Each step he took transformed the leafy soil beneath him into smooth, flat of stone.

Two days passed since I learned the wonders of earth bending. It took a lot of Trile and error, but now I had enough control to make rocks levitate. Thanks to earth bending, I was able to shift the earth deep enough to find my first drink of water in this world. Unfortunately, I haven't found any animals to hunt. After my first encounter with what turned out to be a very poisonous berry bush, I learned that even eating a squashed berry is basically a death sentence if the skin is still in tact for a two week old toddler. After vomiting blood for a good hour and a half, I was finally able to eat the berries without being poisoned. Thanks to a clever use of grinding stones, I was able to reduce the deadly treats into a safe to swallow mulch. It's a cruel twist of fate that something so deadly tastes so delicious.

With a lowering of a hand, the large slab of stone lands gently onto the large flat stone surface created for this very purpose. Balling my hands into fists, I cross my arms in an X and Slash down. A rectangle opening forms an opening in the massive stone, revealing its hollow inside. Inside are several selves, a table with a single chair, and my baby basket in the center of an oval stone as a bed. The basket is one thing I am truly grateful for from my unknown parents.

"Yawwn! Well. Now that I have a reasonably suitable place to live, it's time to figure out my purpose in this world. Training is a must. The Fire Nation is probably after any earth benders they can grab. A baby living in the middle of nowhere is likely no acception."

a window forms as I sit at my new table. Waves of comfort flow through me at the chairs' perfect shape.

"For now, the most important thing to learn is complete psychic earth bending techniques. I have managed to reduce the needed movements, but it is still not enough. That's my plan. Strengthen my body and perfect my control of my element."

Five years pass in the blink of an eye. A young boy with long spiky black hair can be seen floating in deep meditation atop a solid disk of stone. His green eyes seem to glow behind his eyelids, and his pale skin appears to glow from the amount of sunlight being reflected off of it. Behind him is a large villa decorated with countless statues in the likeness of the memories of his own world. Countless sports cars, anime characters, spaceships, and more fill its halls. With a deep breath, the disk gradually lowers until it sinks into the intricately patterned walkways as if it had never moved.

"That just about covers it. I think it's about time I see what this world has to offer. All i need to do is finish the last step of my training."

These years in the wilderness have done wonders to increase my strength. When ever I pushed beyond my limits to the point of injury my body would rase those limits higher. Even as a five year old I have the muscles of an athlete. When I went hungry for days at a time, my body required less and less substance to survive after eating my next meal. When my body got blistered from sun burns, all I had to do is heal and my skin would reflect any harmful rays. The years were long and boring to say the least. Thanks to how remote my location is, people have yet to find my humble abode. Now, as I walk down the many basements filled with artistic statues, i intend to finish the final step of my personal training.

As I exit the last flight of stairs leading into the tenth basement, I enter the center of a circle of pedestals. On top of each pedestal is a bowl filled with a single solid material that I must be able to bend using psychic earth bending. I take a deep breath and begin to push down my excitement in favor of complete focus.

"Ok, this is it. All I need to do is get nine out of ten and I can leave this place with a clear conscience. Now go!"

I close my eyes and shift my full attention to the earth around me. Soon images of veryous solid materials are transferred directly into my brain. Almost instantly a 360 view of my surroundings provides my mind with clarity. As expected, any and all solid materials are in my perception. Even the hair on my head and bone in my body enters my sight like a bizarre X-ray that includes flesh and muscle. But more importantly is the full awareness of each substance in the many bowls around me. Each bowl contains a solid substance free from any basic impurities common earth bending techniques typically manipulate. I feel a small amount of pressure form in the frontal lobe of my brain as I rise a hand to the first bowl. I feel my veryous spiritual energies twist and turn in my surroundings. Each tendril of my chi touchs the solitary block of dry wood one after another. Each one eather passes through or over the block until a single strand raps around it in a green glow only visible through my unique perception.

"Ah, there it is."

With my mental command the block of wood begins vibrating rapidly until growing still. Soon enough, it begins floating upwards out of the bowl. With my prompting, the cube makes a sound like cracking bark before shifting from a cube into a sphere. It starts cycling into veryous shapes. Star, pyramid, octagon, spiral, drill, pot, before I compress it into a bead one one hundredth of its original size. I let the bead fall into the bowl before repeating the process with the next eight materials. Chalk, ashes, sand, iron, copper, tree sap, berries, coal, and what is likely the most game changing material of all. In the final bowl was a singular skull I acquired from a particularly violent member of the local wildlife. The bleach white skull of a jackal rabbit began to levitate while spinning in a lazy circle. With a flick of a finger the innermost part of the cranium was filled with spikes from the very bones intended to protect the brain. I couldn't help but chuckle at my discovery. It really should have been obvious in hindsight but the difference between bone bending and earth bending is so small, only a minor difference in chi frequency is needed to transform the human body into a literal death trap. The only downside is that the chi from living things works as a natural buffer against it. Difficult, but manageable.

"Only a little more until I am satisfied."

I rase both my hands, and all ten items float out of the bowls. You would think controlling so many unique frequencies at once would be difficult, and you would be correct. If not for a very important discovery I made by trying to replicate one of Tophs greatest feets. I am sure my fellow fans would agree with which of her many feets i am referring to after paying attention to it. Even with practically no direction she managed to master sand bending to such a degree she was able to make a miniature Ba Sing Se out of sand in an instant. It was so impressive that every building had minute details that by all rights should be impossible for the human mind to replicate. It was during one such attempt that I found what is arguably the most game changing secret to earth bending possible. Memory. Yes, memory. In a bazaar hybrid combination of muscle memory and shape memory it's possible to record shapes into your bending like a 3d printer. For the last three years since this ground braking discovery I have spent nearly every waking moment of my relaxation time creating as many things as I can out of earth, and now i have innumerable creations I can summon at the drop of a hat. Everything from earth style dragons from Naruto to this entire mansion and all statues inside it. This house is literally a collapsible art museum of epic proportions.

So naturally, doing this is easy. Deciding to make this my final test, i tapped into a part of my bending I have had very little success with despite making it my top priority. Getting into a stance, I rase my open hands in a fluid manner reminiscent of a water bender. I feel a wave of heat hit my face as a visible heatwave starts to emanate from all ten materials. Repeating the motion in a much looser stance, the first signs of my goal became apparent. Starting with the coal, several red embers light up on its surface with a hiss before it bursts into flames. Within a matter of seconds the wood, ash, tree sap, berries, and chalk follow suit. The skull actually started turning black and cracking before the first signs of my success became apparent. The copper erupted in unholy green fire as it began to hiss and liquefy. Soon the iron ignites before following the path of its weaker metal counterpart. All and all the entire process took nearly two minutes.

"Dang it! It's useless. The most I can do is make hot rocks for a massage parlor. It's not all bad though. It will take a lot of practice on the road but I can start up on metal working. That said, it isn't a total failure, After all, every experiment comes with unintentional discoveries."

Smiling, I dropped my hands and the two glowing metals were surrounded in a white mist before exploding. Fragments of frozen metal shot in all directions only to be stopped in mid-air by an unseen force. Unlike Toph who uses the impurities in metal to control it, I have created the genuine article. True metal bending. Not even the purest platinum can withstand it.

I crack my nuckles as I made my trip to the surface. I pickup my medallion and worn baby blanket on the way up. The basket fell apart ages ago so these two things are the only irreplaceable possessions I own. I walked upto a blurry mirror I formed out of copper next to the front door. By all rights I am one handsome dude for a five-year-old. I ended up learning the hard way that my adaptive regeneration wasn't as completely OP as I had hoped. It's overpowered without a doubt, but not omnipotent. For example, if i stub my toe on something it doesn't just stop taking damage. Instead it hits a little less, jams less, and bends less on impact each time the action repeats. All and all, I need to stub the same toe several times before the toe stops taking damage. Further more, the impact damage reduction bonus effects my body less, the further away it is from the body part that has adapted. The result is a much more durable right leg rather than greater durability to my entire body. That said, the benefits it has on my physical appearance is on a whole other level. And its not like i didn't take full advantage of it. My young body has muscles blistering beneath the surface. healthy yet pale skin is a result of sunburn resistance so powerful that my body glows white in the sun. My green eyes also benefit from this by glowing noticeably brighter than the rest of my body. It's a surreal experience and a sight to behold. But one feature stands out far above the rest. My hair. Long, black hair cascades down my back past my tail bone like madara uchiha. The hair strands are as thick as horse hair and are not very flexible. Turns out that adaptive regeneration can tell when you get a haircut, because it grows faster and harder to cut every time I get one. I stopped trying when the sharp rock I was using started grinding against it. I was worried for a while that my hair would eventually stab into my eyes like needles. Fortunately it seemed to fix itself after the strands started digging into my forehead. Now all my hair points away from my skin, and no longer bends enough to stab me. And now I have crazy hair that would make Raditz cry in envy.

"Hm, looking good. It feels strange to actually leave. It is easy to forget how much humans tend to hate change. Yet I almost feel excited. Maybe i should become a super hero or a villain. Maybe both. Eather way I can't wait to introduce my creative earth bending nin-jutsu to this war torn world. Or at least I hope it is war torn. It would kind of suck if I was born the day the show started. I might just be a villain if I have no one to fight. Nothing but an entire nation will do for my grand adventure. Dang it I need to remember to stop talking to myself too."

With my mind made up, I begin to make my way to the dirt path of my birth. I snap my fingers and the entire mansion behind me starts to tremble. Cracks form across the sandstone like surface before the entire structure crumbles into a sinkhole of sand.

"Damb I'm good. Time to hit the world like a saiyan on holiday."

On that day a small boy began the journey that would give birth to a new legend. The rise of the Jang the unstoppable.
