Tape 2 Lessons of Strength
Its been 2 Years since Izuku's doctor had labeled him quirkless. In that time His life has changed and not for the better. Almost immediately his life was turned upside down. He wasn't allowed to play outside with other kids for fear of his weak body being damaged. What friends he had, turned on him and began bullying him about his quirklessness. It was everything from jokes, to insults to physical abuse with others using their quirks on him.
Izuku was really shocked because his best friend Katsuki even turned on him and belittled him. It was worse today because Izuku had jumped into the small river near the forest by the school during lunch to help Katsuki from being swept away by the strong current. For his troubles Katsuki forever marred Izuku's face. He lit a point blank explosion right as he slapped izuku across the face searing flesh and leaving a wicked scar that would never heal. The burn showing a nasty palm print with star like burst engulphing it and branching lines of burned skin coming off where the fingers were.
Izuku wanted to lie. He wanted to help his friend but Angel Gabby told Izuku that lying was not the right thing to do. That katsuki sinned and needed to face redemption through punishment. Katsuki was immediately punished by his parents when izuku showed them and his own what Katsuki did and Katsuki is now going to be kept away from izuku at all times for his own protection. Needless to say izuku has had it rough the last 2 years. As Izuku is watching his new favorite show he sees Gabby flying down to the forest as rain clouds are around dropping rain pretty heavily.
"Gabby, i don't know what to do. After everything...i feel so useless. So empty like everything is dark even if the sun is shining brightly. I try and find comfort in it's warmth but i don't know anymore." Izuku says to the TV screen as he looks at it. Tears in his eyes ready to fall down his cheeks.
"The sun is warm sometimes Izuku but you shouldn't forget the moments it burns you." Angel Gabby says as her face is one of hardened determination.
"Oh but Angel Gabby how can i have strength to face the day. All this rain has got me shivering and sad." Francis says as he keeps hold of a jar of what looks like yellow candies.
"You will need strength to be resilient during times of comfort and fortitude to be brave during times of heat. I can show you how to be stronger. Even though you're so small." Angel Gabby says as her face softens and she shows genuine whole concern for izuku as the scene transitions over to a new location near 2 hills with a house on one in the distance and flowing river of water between the two hills.
"All this rain has flooded the path back to my home, Oh despair." Francis says as he covers his eyes with his hands.
"Even in the darkest times you must never despair Izuku. It is our greatest enemy. Strength will be your ally and i will show you how to be strong." Angel Gabby says as she flies upwards to her cloud house and she flies all the way to her bedroom.
"Izuku i know you don't feel safe at school. However we feel safest where we sleep. Do you want your room to feel safe?" Angel Gabby asks while giving Izuku a reassuring smile.
"I want everywhere to feel safe Angel Gabby. Not just my room but i know that's a hard thing to accomplish." Izuku says to Gabby as he shakes his head.
"First let me show you how you can be stronger than your enemy. Like Davids little pebble against Goliath. This little chair is going to be stronger than anyone who comes to your door. If we turn it backwards and lean it up against the door like this it'll be like your very own lock and key." Angel Gabby says as she demonstrates for izuku how to do waiting for him to copy her. When he does the door in Angel Gabby's room starts to rattle and shake.
"Look at that! It's so strong! Now lets get in the closet." Angel Gabby says to izuku as he watches the show happy for this information. He can use it to hide in the closets at school to avoid the bullies.
"The dark can be scary but it can also be peaceful. Instead of letting the sounds of darkness make you fearful, look at gods blessing and concentrate hard on something you're thankful for. This is how your mind can be strong too. I like to take a big slow breath to keep me calm. Would you like to try?" Angel Gabby explains to Izuku as she takes a deep breath in before releasing it and asking her question to the young boy.
"Of course Angel Gabby. I'm thankful for mommy and Daddy, im thankful for aunty and uncle and im thankful they're trying to help Kaachan be better. But most of all I'm thankful i have you to help me Angel Gabby." Izuku says happily to her before closing his eyes and breathing in deep and releasing his breath. Unknown to izuku Angel Gabby's eyes widened and she softly gasps in surprise but also happiness at what he said.
"Very good Izuku, now you don't have to be scared. Even if they find you." Angel Gabby says to Izuku and Izuku smiles at Gabby hugging the TV. As Gabby watches Izuku hug the tv his burn scar is pressed against the screen making her heart break unable to handle it. She leans forward and kisses the screen where Izuku's cheek is pressed. Her soft furred lips seem to touch his flesh through the screen making Izuku's eyes widen as the pain he feels is gone.
"Angel Gabby?" Izuku asks as he places his hand to his burn feeling that it is still there but it no longer hurts him.
"I told you Izuku. I'm your friend and as your friend, your REAL friend. I don't like when you are hurt or hurting. Your cheek was burned not so long ago but it will still keep hurting you everyday. I couldn't stand that being the case. As one of gods Angels i have the power to heal. So as your friend i used that power so i could heal your cheek. I took the pain away completely forever but i can't heal the skin. Too many people would ask questions and i wouldn't be able to protect you from all of them. You'll just have to live with the scar." Angel Gabby says with a loving and care filled expression on her face before frowning and lowering her head as she feels sad about not being able to help more.
"Angel Gabby...i don't mind about the scar. I think it will be a good reminder of why i need to be strong. Not just for me but for everyone god has made come into my life. Mommy, daddy, aunty and especially you. I don't like when you're sad either and it makes me sad to see you sad because we are friends and friends want each other happy. Thank you for taking away my pain Angel Gabby." Izuku says as he redoubles his hugging efforts.
"You're very welcome Izuku. I only want you happy too." Angel Gabby says as she closes her eyes and returns the hug through the screen. Both parties finding comfort and warmth within each others grasp.
