Tape 4: The lies we tell.

Izuku was currently looking down at the item in his hand. The boys fingers running up and down its soft down like quality as if it were the most precious thing in the world to him. If he was being honest with himself it IS the most precious thing in his life right now besides his one of kind Angel Hare plushie he is currently sitting next to. In his hands is a single feather. A golden feather that seems to shine bright even in the darkness of night. Infront of izuku his home is on fire as if it were a roaring inferno.

Thankfully the only people still living in the complex were him and his mother. The hero responsible for the apartment burning down is currently doing interviews with the police while a really muscular guy with deep golden tan skin, handlebar mustache and a ripped denim biker jacket is standing guard around Izuku. The Hero in question walks up to the both of them and his flaming facial hair and stern gaze and costume shows that it's Endeavor who is the one to have done it. Looking at the man infeont of him Abobo gets ready to fight before Izuku holds up one of his hands to stop his "uncle" from doing anything.

"Hey...I'm sorry about what happened. I was informed that the apartment complex was completely empty. Had I known... Listen nothing i can say will undo what i did but i am sorry. I'll pay for all the medical expenses of that woman to be taken care of and healed. I sincerely hope you'll forgive me for hurting your wife sir." Endeavor speaks to Abobo who laughs directly in his face.

"WHA? Me and Ink? No you got it wrong pal. I'm a close friend of her EX husband. Im only here to pick up my nephew in name and bring him to his paps. You're barking up the wrong tree for forgiveness pal. If it was up to me I'd slap the shit outta yah. But little man here is holding me back with that one gesture. You want forgiveness you better kiss HIS ass, not mine." Abobo speaks as he looks to Izuku whose dull eyes just look at the feather in his left hand while his right is held up with his wrist bent back and his fingers pointing upwards all together to indicate a stop motion.

Endeavor was about to say something and start a fight but looking at the kid he see's that the muscled man is right and before he can speak Izuku speaks first.

"Thank you for agreeing to pay for her medical expenses...me and kaa-san can't really afford a lot of things. Not since the divorce. Tell me, could you have stopped that villain without using your quirk?" Izuku asks remembering one of Angel Gabbys message about being merciful to others.

"If i'm being honest...i probably could have yes. I could have used my new sidekick Burnin' to cause a distraction while i manouvered to the villains side and subdued him... Which was my orginal plan of course but my dispatcher told me the aparment owner said no one lived in the complex and was given a green light to blast the villain knowing it would catch the building too and he had insurance for fires." Endeavor says as he hopes the boy buys it. He only just thought of the distraction plan.

Izuku being who he is and noticing the shift in body language and tone Endeavor used as Angel Gabby has told him and taught him about he knows Endeavor is lying. At least in part. He sighs and looks at his feather once more before speaking.

"And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven,having the keyto the Abyssand holding in his hand a great chain.He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan,and bound him for a thousand years.He threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. After that, he must be set free for a short time." Izuku says shocking Endeavor a bit at how well spoken this child is but is confused as to what he means.;

"Revalations 20. It speaks of how sinners who lie such as the devil and like the devil those who lie are thrown into an abyss to suffer for 1000 years for it. I'll give you that you probably were given the green light to blast the villain. Probably because the apartment complex owner knew i was Quirkless and didn't care if me or Kaa-san died. But you lied about the distraction plan. Your shuffling and scratching the back of your neck says it all. Liars are hard to truly ever trust again." Izuku says as he picks up and hugs his plushie of Gabby Tears filling his eyes.

"But i forgive you Endeavor. Mistakes like this are huge and you'll carry the weight of your mistake likely forever. I want to ease that weight even just a little and say thank you for stopping the villain and thank you for also agreeing to pay for her medical bills on live TV. God teaches us that its okay to be merciful to those who deserve it and you deserve that much at least. You have the highest property damage count of all heros but you also have had 0 injuries or civilian fatalities till today so you speak the truth about not atacking had you known about me and Kaa-san. Please just keep my mother alive and happy while she recovers in the hospital. She wont be able to take care of me like the courts want for the custody section laid out by the courts so I'll be moving to my fathers for the forseeable future...again thank you Endeavor. You're a wonderful hero and this interaction here? It shows that you're also a good person...flawed, but good." Izuku says as he and Abobo leave the area without another word as Burnin looks at her boss and his stone wall expression.

"You okay boss?" Burnin asks a bit confused at this.

"A name...I want that boys name, his medical history and school records. I want the survailence videos from his school and his testing scores and GPA. i want EVERYTHING about that kid found and on my desk by MONDAY!" Endeavor says as he turns around and walks away from the News crews without answering questions and Burnin right behind him.

"Sure boss but why?" Burnin asks confused.

"I just ruined the life of a quirkless 9 year old boy. He's no older than my own son Shoto. Because of his quirklessness the apartment complex owner gave the okay to my information dispatch that i could burn that place down to the ground knowing full well i would have killed that boy and his mother. I need that info so i can hunt down and put behind bars the child abusers who have forced that boy to mature far before he should have. His eyes were as dead and focused as mine are Moe... That is not something one should see on one so young." Endeavor says as he leaves to hopefully right the wrong he did against the boy and arrest the man who nearly caused the death of two people. Liars should be punished and boy will this liar be punished hard.

"So bossman, where to?" Abobo asks Izuku as they walked down the street to get into the Limo waiting for them. Abobo in the driver seat and Izuku Alone in the back.

"The airport. I only have what's on my back and my precious plush and feather. That's all i need. Please...leave me alone till we get there." Izuku asks as Abobo nods and has the divider window slide up sound proofing the limos back and allowing for the TV to slide down and turn on. Angel Hare starts up and it shows Angel Gabby is worriedly pacing back and forth on screen as she then see's izuku covered in soot and ash with a dead look in his eyes.

"IZUKU! My goodness are you alright? Are you injured? I heard the comotion and then i saw the fire and smoke. Please tell me you're okay!" Angel Gabby says as Izuku looks at her with tears in his eye.

"I'm fine Angel Gabby... Kaa-san however." Izuku trails off before sighing.

"Kaa-san wasn't so lucky. She's hurt Gabby...she's hurt bad. The one responsible was a hero who was lied to about me and her being home and was given the okay to burn the complex down. I lost everything...everything but the plush you blessed and...your special feather." Izuku shows it off to her and smiles some at her.

"Kaa-san will be okay though cause the Hero agreed to take care of her medical stuff for his mistake...i forgave him Gabby. Did i do the right thing?"Izuku asks as Angel Gabby is currently holding back her tears and fights hard against something constricting her. The screen glitches out before Angel Gabby flies out of the TV and wraps her arms around izuku hugging him tightly as he then begins to cry in her arms. Gabby easily being 6'3" in real life rather than the plushies size of only 3'7" just holds Izuku to herself firmly yet genly.

"Shh Izuku, it's okay. I'm here. I'm here and things will be Okay. As for if you did the right thing. Was it truly an accident that this happened because of him?" Angel Gabby asks.

"Yes, his voice was sincere and his eyes remained on me and he spoke without any waiver or question. He was given the okay because of a liar. He did lie at first but it was a hindsight kind of thing like you told me about so i knew he only thought of a secondary plan after the fact but everything else was truth. You said being merciful is also being strong. But sometimes i feel that being that way just means lying to myself. Lying that things are okay even when they aren't. Am i lying to myself Gabby?" Izuku asks practically begging for an answer.

"Oh izuku, no you are not lying to yourself. Being merciful and giving mercy is truly a strength you can weild like any other. Its one of gods traits and one that is so easily taken advantage of But it's never wrong to be merciful even to those that hurt you. It's hard to be merciful to those who have hurt you but that's why it takes so much strength to give that mercy. Yes Izuku you did the right thing." Angel Gabby says holding Izuku tightly to herself as he wraps his arms around her and holds her as if she were the only other person in the world.

"Also, no Izuku, you are not lying to yourself about things being okay. Remember all of what i taught you. Even in the darkest of times you must find a light and follow it out. After all Johns 1:5 states: "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." You have many lights that shine in the darkness Izuku. You have your Dad, your new friend Nozomi from River city...you also have me. I'll always be your light Izuku." Angel Gabby says she feels Izuku holding her tightly and bawling his eyes out into her robe like dress. Angel Gabby just rubs his back to soothe his worries and whispers sweet nothings to him for the entire drive to the airport where Angel Gabby returns to her show and Izuku just feels his heart aching at her absence.

Izuku sighs as he and Abobo board the plane in first class to get back to river city. Izuku longingly staring out the window as his reflection shows red eyes but also red tinted cheeks.

"Sorry Angel Gabby. I have lied to myself. I have Lied about my feelings for you and done so for so long and now it hurts. I guess you were right. Lies are hurtful to everyone around us. Especially the lies we tell ourselves." Izuku says as his focus shifts from the window to the still glowing gold feather in his hand. His face adopting a loving and forelorn longing expression.
