The rocking waves made it a peaceful sleep for Naruto, he had been stowed away on the ship for nearly a week now and even though it was uneventful it was the most thrilling thing he had ever done in his life.
Naruto had overheard while hiding that they were arriving at a town within the next few hours and he couldn't wait to explore what the new island entailed, he thought about all the possibilities that could arise from the endless amount of islands that he could visit.
He tried to imagine what the island they were going to arrive at would look like, he thought about all the different people he would meet and the different personalities of each one of them. It brought a smile to his face even though he hadn't even arrived at his first island yet.
It wasn't till noon when the boat arrived at the port of the town, the town was small compared to Dressrosa with their being a few houses and shops that littered around but it seemed that this island was more of a pit stop for travellers compared to an actual destination.
As Naruto sneaked off the ship making sure that none saw him and made his way to the few shops around the town, walking into one of the clothing shops he realised that he didn't have any actual money on him to buy anything.
Naruto slowly sulked out of shop depressed with himself for not thinking ahead to bring any money on his journey to sea, continuing to make his way around the town he found the only bar in the entire town. The building looked slightly run down but it gave the building a nice homely look to it, above the entrance of the bar it had slightly worn in red words that said 'Poppy's Bar'.
As Naruto opened the door of the bar he noticed that it was moderately filled with people, there was four sailors from the boat he stowed away on while a few people were playing card games on a table in another corner of the bar.
As Naruto made his way to the front bar he tried to keep to himself, arriving at it he took a seat and waited till the bartender finished talking to the man next to him.
Quickly glancing at the man who he was sat next to him, he saw that he had black hair that was grey around the edges. He was a lean build and was wearing black pants with a green t-short that was under a brown leather jacket.
The man seemingly sensed Naruto looking at him and turned to him smiling, the man had a left green eye and a right blue one. He also had a scar that went from the top of his forehead through his nose and than finished at his chin.
Diverting his eyes away Naruto blushed feeling embarrassed that he had been caught looking at him, the man just laughed and smiled again.
"I don't think I've seen you around here before."
"Yeah, I'm not from around here that a problem?"
"No it's not, I'm just not use to anyone coming from Wano" The man said making Naruto's eye widen, quickly standing up Naruto released his claws getting ready to strike the man.
"How do you know that!" Naruto yelled making the bar go silent and causing everyone to stare at Naruto who still had his claws pointed at the man.
"Now let's not rush ahead with assumptions, how about we talk about this like civilised people?" The man asked while he stood up ushering for Naruto to sit down, Naruto glared at the man before nodding and receding his claws and sitting back down. The others in the bar seeing that nothing came of the scuffle looked away and started to talk again though some did give Naruto glances due to his claws.
The man sat back down while Naruto sat beside him and called out to the bartender who walked over while whipping his hands with his towel.
"What you want?" The bartender asked while sceptically looking at Naruto.
"I'll have a beer and he'll have a..." The man said looking at Naruto waiting for his response.
"I'll have the same." Naruto said shocking the bartender but making the man laugh.
"C'mon get him what he wants!" The man yelled laughing still while the bartender scrambled to get the beers for them, as the bartender put the drinks in front of both of them the man picked it up and took a drink then put it back down. He looked over to Naruto who was just looking at the drink.
"Stop looking at it and drink it or I'll make you pay for it" the man said nudging Naruto who picked it up and took a drink of it. Naruto decided that it was a different taste than what he had drunk before but it was not the worse, putting it down he looked over to the man smiling.
"It's not half bad." Naruto said with a smile while the man frowned but then smiled and payed the bartender. "Say, what's even your name?"
"My name? Well I'm surprised that you haven't heard of me, my names Ayakumi and I was once the captain of the great Dolphin pirates!" He yelled while standing up.
"Well it's good to know your name but I didn't ask for the rest" Naruto said while taking another sip of his drink making Ayakumi depressed with a rain cloud above him. "Now onto the second part how did you know I was from Wano?"
"Ah Ah Ah, I won't go telling my secrets now will I" Ayakumi said while wagging his finger at Naruto who was frowning.
"If you won't tell me then I'll have to ask again" Naruto said while pressing Ayakumi side with his claws making him sweat.
"Fine, I know because I have the powers of the Himi Himi no Mi or better know as the Secrets Devil Fruit which allows me to see all your secrets whenever I want"
"That creepy you know"
"SHUT UP!" Ayakumi yelled while smashing him on the head. "Anyway why did you leave Dres-"
Naruto jumped up and covered Ayakumi mouth before turning to the Dressrosa sailors who were none the wiser, letting his hand off Ayakumi mouth he sighed.
"Be quiet, I stowed away on their ship and they might know who I am so don't go bringing unwanted attention onto us."
"Ok then, how about we leave and go for a walk than?" Ayakumi asked to which Naruto nodded, picking up their drinks and thanking the bartender they left and wandered around the town.
"So what are you doing in Dock island, a bit of a different pace from Wano and Dressrosa" Ayakumi asked as he waved at one of the shop owners.
"I'm looking for an adventure but I don't really know where to go, plus I don't have any beli to buy anything." Naruto huffed dropping his shoulders.
"Well I could take you a few islands over and than at Freedom Island I could drop you off, than you could find your own way to Fishman island if you wanted to" Ayakumi said rubbing his chin, Naruto's eyes lit up with excitement at the prospect of going to a new island.
"There's a Fishman island! I've never heard of that, please take me Ayakumi, please!" Naruto begged Ayakumi as he dropped to his knees.
"Get off the ground Naruto, I can take you to Freedom island but I can't go any further." Ayakumi said looking down at Naruto before grabbing him by the collar and picking him up. "Though it won't be for free."
"I'll do anything, anything!"
"Well if you say so, you can sleep at my house but than at the crack of dawn you will help me prepare to leave got it?" Ayakumi said to which Naruto nodded furiously. As the two of them made their way to Ayakumi house Naruto had to wonder what Fishman island was like.
'Maybe they all have fish for heads' Naruto thought trying to picture what it would look like. 'Do they even wear cloths like us?'
As they arrived at Ayakumi house Naruto noticed that it was on the out skirts of the town, it was an old wooden house that looked like it could fall over at any moment. It had a few windows that were cracked but the most unique thing about the house was that it had a bright yellow door which stood out like a sore thumb.
Upon opening the door Naruto was meet with a small but nice house, it had a small stove with cabinets and table next to it. On the other side of the house there was stairs that lead to a bed that was near the roof and underneath the stairs there was a long couch. Even though everything was old and worn it was still a nice looking house.
As Ayakumi walked over to the stove he pulled out a match and lit it with flames which roared to life, he opened some cabinets next to the stove and grabbed out two cans of soap along with a bowl. Turning to Naruto he picked up a knife and handed it to him.
"See those vegetables in that bowl on the table, just pick a few and cut them up for the soup." Ayakumi asked to which Naruto nodded, he walked over to the vegetable bowl and picked a few and started to cut them into decent sizes. As Ayakumi opened the two cans he put them into a bowl over the stove, walking over Naruto dropped the vegetables into the soup than took a seat over onto the couch which he assumed he would be sleeping on.
Naruto sat in silence watching Ayakumi slowly stir the food around making sure it didn't burn. As Naruto was left to his own devices he let his mind wonder, looking over at Ayakumi he was still a mystery to him. He had many questions he wanted to ask like what was his job, what happened to the pirate crew he was apart of and why he had a yellow door.
"Foods ready" Ayakumi said putting the soup into two bowls before placing them on the table, getting up Naruto made his way over and sat beside Ayakumi who was trying the food.
"Ayakumi what's your job?" Naruto asked as he ate some of his food which wasn't the worst but wasn't the greatest.
"My job, well I was a pirate before I was arrested so now days I just run supplies around the surrounding islands." Ayakumi said as he continued to eat his food.
"Why were you arrested?"
"Gosh is this an investigation or something?"
"No I'm just curious about you" Naruto said while looking at Ayakumi who had a beed of sweat running down his face.
"I was arrested for being a pirate" Ayakumi answered which got a deadpan look from Naruto. "Don't look at me like that, ask better questions."
"Fine how did it happen then?"
"My crew was being chased by marines and we got shipped wrecked on the island, the marines were about to get us so we made a decision that we would sink to the bottom of the sea. We all went ahead with it as the marines chased us to the beach and all the crew went under pretty quickly but when I went in I hesitated because of my devil powers, that hesitation got me caught while the rest of my crew left for a better life. The marines saw what happened so as my punishment I was sentenced to working on the island until the day I die."
Naruto was left stunned at how much Ayakumi had gone through, looking down Naruto felt guilty for asking such a sensitive question which Ayakumi seemed to notice.
"Don't let it get you down it happened a long time ago, I'm pretty sure I can leave whenever I want because the marines forgot about me." Ayakumi laughed.
"Why don't you leave then?"
"Because I don't want to abandon my crew." Ayakumi said while seeming to go off daydreaming about his crew.
"What about when you leave the island for your supply trips?" Naruto asked now more intrigued.
"It's apart of my sentence which I still have to follow even though I won't get in trouble plus some of the towns rely on me to do those trips."
Naruto now had a new found respect for Ayakumi who he deemed was actually a good person and wanted to help Naruto rather than do harm to him.
"Look at the time! It seems we were caught up in old memories, you can sleep on the couch and I'll wake you in the morning when we need to get the ship ready for the supplies." Ayakumi said finishing off his food and then climbing the stairs to his bedroom, Naruto quickly followed suit drinking the rest of soup before falling onto the couch excited for what the next step in his adventure entailed.
What Naruto realised once they were out on the sea was how long it was going to take for them to arrive at Freedom island with the voyage taking four months from Dock island, though Naruto was still happy about the free trip he was getting.
The first island they were arriving at was Rain island and as the name suggested upon arrival they were immediately drenched after coming out of the boats cabin with raincoats on, immediately both of them set to work with picking up crates and putting them down on the pier.
As the rain continued to pelt down Naruto and Ayakumi finished putting all the crates down then they made their way up the pier and to the bar, the bar was absolutely packed with people huddling close to a fireplace to try and get warm.
Naruto and Ayakumi walked up to bar and ordered their usually two beers, taking sips to try and keep the cold away they talked about what islands were to come and what Naruto had to expect.
Rain island Naruto quickly found out from Ayakumi was an island that rained every day of the year except one day where it was scorching hot, on that day if someone was to go outside they would quickly learn their mistake getting sunburnt and heat stroke instantly.
The next island in the chain that they would be going to would be Surf island which would also be an experience trying to get into the port of the town, but right now Naruto only really wanted to focus on where he was now.
"What time will we leave?" Naruto asked not sure when they could leave due to the weather.
"We'll considering the fact that it's not going to stop raining we will leave after we get some food and finish these drinks" Ayakumi said while standing up and walking to the exit with Naruto following behind him.
They walked around in the rain looking for a place to eat, soon they found a small food stall with some undercover seats and order some food and sat down.
"What did we drop off here?" Naruto asked intrigued at what they needed to drop off in a place like this.
"Mainly food and fabrics, it's hard to produce any type of food in this climate while they also need a steady flow of fabric in the country because how many clothes they go through. It's a hard life to live a life here."
"Then why do they live here."
"It's a central island between other islands and makes it easier for trade around these areas." Ayakumi respond making Naruto nod as he went back to his food.
"What's the travel time to Surf island?"
"Gosh it's always questions from you."
"Just want to know more." Naruto smiled.
"It's a week trip to Surf than two weeks to the next island after it." Ayakumi responded while Naruto let his head drop onto the table groaning, the food on the table bounced and a glass tipped over making the cook glare at the two.
"How long till we get to Freedom island?"
"Well if you add a week and than another two, plus the other islands we have to go to about 3 months and three weeks so let's get a move on than shall we?" Ayakumi said smiling at Naruto while standing up and placing a few beli down to pay for there meals.
Ayakumi walked out from the undercover and towards the dock while Naruto was still sat wallowing in how long the trip would take, soon realising that Ayakumi had left he scampered off before returning and thanking the cook than running off after Ayakumi who was laughing.
The two of them arrived at Surf Island in the expected week time frame and they were quick to leave when Ayakumi noticed that the waves were at their smallest during this time of year. So once they unloaded their crates and then scampered back on the boat and set sail for the next island.
The days drifted pass for a Naruto who although had to wait a long time before getting the chance to go to Fishman island was still happy he could visit such a wide range of places and people.
His favourite island of all was the Hotspot island which was an island full of natural springs where both Naruto and Ayakumi stayed the night.
Naruto didn't mind the short but intensive work of moving such a large amount of crates on and off the boat so many times but he took to accepting it after thinking of it as a last challenge before exploring every new island.
Eventually the four month trip was coming to a close as Freedom island came to view on the horizon, smiling to himself Naruto was thrilled that he was nearly there but sad in that he would miss Ayakumi who he had grown fond of.
"Naruto be careful when you get their Freedom island has a large Marine presence due to how close it is to the red line so make sure to stay out of trouble." Ayakumi said while he slowed the boat down as it got closer to the island.
"Yeah I'll be careful and won't get into trouble." Naruto responded while waving off Ayakumi.
"Good, help me tie the boat up to the pier and than we'll unload the last set on crates." Ayakumi ordered as they entered the port which had massive amount of Marine ships of varying sizes.
As the boat docked Naruto quickly tied the boat to the pier making sure that the knot was tight enough so the boat wouldn't float away, he stood back up and than started to unload crates on the pier. Some of the port crew came around and started to pick up the unloaded crates taking them away to where Ayakumi was telling them, Ayakumi was also talking and laughing with someone who seemed to be the head of the port.
As Naruto unloaded the final crates which were also taken away by the port crew, he turned towards Ayakumi who had finished talking to the head of port and was waiting for Naruto to finish.
Both of them stood on the pier as the sun shone on the water, both seemed lost for words and didn't know what to say to each other until Ayakumi spoke.
"It's been a long trip Naruto and it's easily been the best one I've ever been on." Ayakumi said with a smile. "I won't ever forget it."
Naruto didn't say anything as he looked down at the ground and tried to hold his emotions in.
"I'll...miss you...to" Naruto said through sniffles and tears making Ayakumi laugh out loud while holding his side.
"Haha this is the most emotion you've ever showed to me" said Ayakumi before walking up to Naruto and placing a hand on his shoulder. "You sure you'll be alright?"
"Yeah I'll be alright." Naruto said looking up at Ayakumi with tears in his eyes, Ayakumi seemed to relax a little. He with squatted down to meet his eye level.
"I hope to see you again one day but the next time I want to see you you'll be in papers about your big adventures, ok?" Ayakumi asked to which Naruto furiously nodded to.
"If I'm ever close I'll come see you."
"I hope you do and to remember that promise I'll give you this." Ayakumi said while taking off his brown leather jacket, he than put it on Naruto which was clearly to big for him.
"I'll wear this everywhere so when ever you see me again you'll know it's me." Naruto promised as he pulled the jacket close to him.
"Take good care of it, I've had it since I was pirate so don't lose it." Ayakumi said while smiling. "I better head off, I've got a long way to go. I hope to see you again one day Naruto Uzumaki."
Ayakumi stuck his hand out to Naruto who quickly shook it, as they let go they both smiled than parted ways with Naruto heading to town while Ayakumi untied the boat off the pier and sailed away.
Walking around the main town on Freedom island Naruto quickly realised that Ayakumi was right about the Marine presence on the island, it seemed that every where Naruto went their was a Marine.
His search to find someone to take him to Fishman island had been futile and whenever he tried to ask someone about it they would quickly walk off.
Continuing his search he came across the town square which had a large amount of people gathered in a crowd, making his way over to the crowd Naruto wondered what the fuss was all about.
Using his smaller frame he pushed his way to the front of the crowd, upon getting pass the last persons feet he get caught onto theirs and tripped forward stumbling out into the open.
Naruto rammed his head straight into someone's legs, looking up Naruto noticed that they were tall, tanned and had a broad muscular chest. The man also had a goatee and a scar over his left eye, he had blue eyes and black hair that was greying at the sides.
"Now what do we have here" the man said as he bent over and picked Naruto up. "Some sort of yellow monkey?"
"No Vice Admiral Sir! It's a child!" A man beside him barked out.
"Oh...What were we looking for again?" The man that had Naruto by the collar asked and who seemed to be a Vice Admiral.
"We are looking for Fisher Tiger Sir! The Fishman that escaped Mary Geoise." The man again barked out.
"Ok then." The Vice Admiral said as he chucked Naruto over his shoulder who went crashing into the ground.
"Hey! What was that for you idiot!" Naruto yelled at the man who chucked him, every person around held their breath as Naruto continued to throw insults at the man.
"Is he an idiot?"
"Does he even know who he's talking to?"
"Quick let's leave before this gets ugly"
Some people slowly but quickly backed away as it seemed that things were about to turn ugly while others were intrigued at what was to come from a kid yelling at such a high profile figure.
Naruto got back up as he walked to the Vice Admiral ready to give him a piece of his mind, getting closer the man just waited for Naruto to do something. Naruto started to pull up the sleeves of his jacket ready to fight but upon touching Ayakumi jacket remembered what he had said about not getting into trouble and being careful.
"I'm sorry sir for yelling at you" Naruto said with a strained face than turned and walked away while the man started laughing, Naruto quickened his pace to get away quickly as the man's laughter got quieter.
"What was that all about Sir?" The man beside the Vice Admiral asked.
"No clue and stop it with this Sir business its getting on my nerves."
"What do I call you than Sir?"
"Just call me Garp." He sighed rubbing his hand over his face. "Did that kid remind you of anyone ?"
"Not that I can recall Sir!"
"I just got a funny feeling that I've seen him somewhere before."
"Must be your age then" the man said which got him a punch from Garp.
Naruto made his way deeper in the town which now found him in the more outlawed part of the town, it was a lot older and dingy then the other part of town which Naruto found out he preferred much more.
Though it wasn't an option to stay around that part of town due to no one even going close to Fishman island due to the fact of Fisher Tiger maybe being on the island.
All the people he asked about finding a ride to Fishman island all laughed at him saying even if they could they would never go there, Naruto did get a lucky break when an old man had told him a person did runs from here to Fishman island every week but his house was on the other side of island.
Happily shaking the man's hand Naruto made his way into the forest which wasn't the worst but actually a nice peaceful walk through the forest.
He was about halfway to where the old man said he could find someone to take him to Fishman island when out of the corner of his eye he noticed a flash of red.
Quickly withdrawing his claws he got low ready for the attack that seemed to be coming, it came from above him as something tried to jump on him from the top trees but he nimbly rolled out of the way.
To the surprise of Naruto he was meet with the sight of Tiger Fisher, he had salmon pink skin and a thick dark beard with sideburns. He also had a spiky dorsal fin that was at the back of his head, he was tall and had a broad Muscular physique. To Naruto he was about the coolest thing he had ever seen.
"You're so cool!" Naruto yelled out which surprised Fisher Tiger who was put off by Naruto's statement.
"What are you doing out here? Have you come to kill me like those Marines?" Tiger asked while glaring at Naruto still ready for an attacked by him.
"What no! I want to go to Fishman island!" Nautical said which made Tiger even more weary of Naruto, slowly Tiger let his guard down.
"So you're a Fishman then?" Tiger said really confused about Naruto's intentions, was this boy really a Fishman. It wasn't unheard of a Fishman having more human features rather than normal Fishmen.
Naruto started to panic, should he tell him the truth of him not really being a Fishman or should he go along with it so he could go to Fishman island easier.
"Uh...Yeah I'm a fishman, so you wanna come along to this place to get a ride?" Naruto asked hoping to convince him to join along, Tiger took a minute before deciding on his course of action.
"Yes I'll go with you if you allow me." Tiger asked, Naruto quickly smiled then ran forward and shook Tigers hand.
"You have to tell me about all your adventures though." Naruto said which made Tiger chuckle slightly before nodding.
"Those terms are acceptable" Tiger chuckled as he shook his head at Naruto's antics. "Though what is your name? I assume you know mine."
"Yeah I know your name, well my names Uzumaki D. Naruto and it's nice to meet you." Naruto said with a smile while Tiger was shocked about Naruto's name, he had heard the news of Uzumaki D. Kushina being pronounced dead but he didn't know she had a son and if he was to be believed then maybe Kushina had had a child with a Fishman.
The two of them started to slowly make their way to the persons house, through the walk both talked about how they ended up here though Naruto hadn't revealed much apart from how he got here with Ayakumi. Naruto had decided that he liked Tiger and was pleasantly surprised by all the stories that Tiger had about his travels, he also asked his usual interrogation questions which got a laugh out of Tiger.
Soon they found themselves at the place which they presumed was where the man would be. There was a small house that had a medium sized boat at the front which made Naruto question how a thing that small could get anyone undersea, he was expecting a submarine or something similarly futuristic. Tiger walked to the door and opened it and noticed that no one was inside.
Naruto made his way over to the boat and stepped aboard, with each step that Naruto took the floor boards creaked and sounded like they were about to break.
Continuing his search around the boat Naruto noticed things on the boat that made him think that the old man had lied about the person being able to take him to Fishman island, there were chains lying around that smelt like the ocean along with sticks with sharp edges.
Making his way he found that the ship had an underneath section, descending the stairs Naruto was meet with the horrific stench of death. The underneath was as horrific as the stench with there being multiple cells with rotting corpses and rats running around, quickly running back upstairs Naruto was meet with the sight of three men who were now aboard the ship.
"So this is the person that Old man Taka sent us to get, he's small but he'll do fine." One of the men said as they walked towards Naruto.
Quickly deciding that he didn't like the situation he withdrew his claws and pounced at the man slashing his face leaving an X mark on his face, the man fell back screaming and clutching his face while the other two were surprised at what he had done.
Naruto quickly jumped over the injured man and off the boat where he was meet with a massive ship that was nearly as big as the Marine ships in the main port, there were men on the ship looking and yelling at Naruto while others made their way off the boat to chase after him.
Tiger, who had been in the house and looking for someone ran out the house and was meet with the sight of men chasing after Naruto while their massive ship lined their guns at Naruto. Running after Naruto he reached him easily and scooped him up as the ship fired at them, putting his back to the ship to protect Naruto he was hit with the full weight of the shot.
It hurt but it didn't feel like he thought it would, looking down at Naruto to make sure he was uninjured and when he was sure he ran into the forest while the men gave chase.
"Who were they Naruto?" Fisher asked Naruto as he carried him through the forest trying to get away from the men.
"I don't know"
"Well it doesn't matter we just have to get out of here and we can't go into town we might be in a lot of trouble, was their anything on the ship that could help us escape?"
"No their was nothing on the ship apart from corpses and cells."
"I feared it but I think they were slavers and the old man who sent you here tricked you."
"Really? But he was so nice to me." Naruto said while looking away from Tiger feeling guilty that this whole mess was his fault.
"It doesn't matter Naruto, you didn't know but we still have to get out of here."
"But how we don't have a ship!"
"We'll just have to swim, though we might not make it there if we are get attacked underwater or I run out of stamina." Tiger said while making his way towards the beach that was in the direction of Fishman island. It took about five minutes to reach the beach and upon breaking through the tree line they were meet with a large group of people and the slavers ship from before.
"You two have been a handful and now your coming with us." The largest of the slavers said while the others around chuckled and snickered.
Tiger put Naruto down on his feet and got ready to fight the large amount of slavers but was beaten by Naruto, who shot off like a rocket and bounced of different slavers cutting and slashing them. Most fell over unconscious while others yelled out in pain holding there wounds as Naruto continued to make his way through most of the slavers, Tiger just watched in surprise as a Naruto cut throw the slavers like they were cows to the slaughter.
As most Slavers were either unconscious or running back onto the ship Naruto landed back next to Tiger who hadn't even moved.
"All done." Naruto said with a smile as he was covered in blood and started to retract his claws.
"Where did you learn to do that?"
"Here and there" he said with a smile. "What now?"
"We leave." Tiger said as they started to walk towards the water, the slaver ship had now pulled out of the beach and was facing them with its gun pointed straight at where they were.
Before Naruto and Tiger could react they fired four cannon balls at them, Tiger panicked and went to tackle Naruto out of the way but realised that he wouldn't make it in time.
Naruto, who also saw the cannon balls, panicked and through all his energy into moving them out of the way. Without realising what he had done Naruto pulled a large amount of water out of ocean which rushed through the air and caught the cannon balls midair. The water stopped the cannon balls that were now trapped within the water but the water didn't stop coming towards Naruto and Tiger, quickly the water engulfed both of them and kept going.
Eventually the water stopped rushing away from the ocean and snapped with tension, it was as if the water was a rubber band being held at its full length.
The people on the slaver boat all had wide eyes as they watched the water from the ocean come to life and swallowed their cannon balls whole, what scared them the most was that the water had stopped moving and stood still in the air.
Tiger felt like he was in a dream, first it was Naruto who was a young boy take on a large number of fully grown men and now it was being saved by water from the ocean. Tiger wasn't sure what was happening but he was sure happy it had happened.
Naruto was barely conscious as he tried to control his powers as green energy spilled out of his body. Naruto looking through the water tried to stop the water which he succeeded in doing, he looked over towards the slave ship and saw that they were in line with it. Pushing all the water towards the boat it snapped like a rubber band, cutting through the middle of the slavers ship both Naruto and Tiger were flung through the middle.
The boat folded onto itself and tipped upwards with many crew members falling into the water, the ship slowly started to sink and once it finally sunk their was nothing there to show that a battle had even taken place.
Tiger and Naruto had been flung underwater and were being carried through the water by a strong current which pushed them around at a break neck pace.
It only took both of them a few seconds of the break neck speed to become fully unconscious with them now hurtling towards Fishman island.
Naruto and Fisher Tiger were quickly getting closer to Fishman island, the water still seemed to push them towards it and moved them around as if it was a current.
Fishman island was now in distance and could be seen in all its glory, the current upon reaching the underwater island pushed Naruto and Tiger towards the front entrance.
The two of them were thrown into the island at the front entrance, they flew through the air and landed at Coral Hills near the Mermaid cafe.
The noise of their landing made the residents of Coral Hills aware of them and they quickly rushed to help, many poured out from the mermaid cafe after hearing the commotion from inside.
The residents were greatly surprised to see an unconscious 'the adventurer' Fisher Tiger along with a young boy, turning to one another they didn't seem to really know what to do until someone called out.
"Quick! Someone call King Neptune he'll know what to do!" One of the Coral Hills residents yelled out while some ran off to try and inform the King of what had happened.
King Neptune and his wife Queen Otohime watched over newest born child which they had named Shirahoshi, suddenly the doors were flung open as a guard rushed in out of breath. The noise had woken the young Shirahoshi which annoyed Neptune who had only just put her to sleep.
"There must be a good reason for this!" Neptune yelled which made Shirahoshi cry even louder and made the guard shrink in on himself.
"Sorry King Neptune but Fisher Tiger and what seems to be a young human boy have crash landed at Coral Hills." The guard said hoping not to incur the wrath of Neptune.
Before Neptune could reply Queen Otohime quickly rushed out of the room and seemed to be headed towards Coral Hills , Neptune picking up Shirahoshi went after Otohime with the guard following closely behind.
As Otohime arrived at the scene Tiger Fisher seemed to be awake and getting help from residents who were trying to ask what had happened, Naruto who was still unconscious was getting a little help but was mainly surrounded by children who were poking and prodding Naruto.
The Queen quickly rushed over to Naruto to check him for injuries and when she decided that he was fine she turned towards Tiger who was now standing and making his way over to Naruto.
"What happened Tiger?" The Otohime asked Tiger who still seemed baffled at what had happened.
"I'm not entirely sure my Queen, one moment we were being attacked than next we are being flung under water hurtling towards here." Tiger responded, at that moment King Neptune had arrived holding Shirahoshi and guards behind him.
"How about we take this to the castle?" Neptune asked intrigued to get the details about how they arrived here. "And is he alright."
Everyone turned towards Naruto who seemed to be waking up, they all gathered around Naruto as he came to. As he fully woke up he looked around and realised that he was in unfamiliar territory.
"Where am I?" He asked, Queen Otohime came forward and went down to his eye level.
"You're at Fishman island." Otohime replied with a smile, Naruto's eyes went wide and he formed a massive grin on his face.
"I MADE IT!" He yelled and started to dance around at his achievement that made Otohime smile while the other Fishpeople were confused with what he was doing.
"Naruto let's go to the castle." Fisher Tiger said which made Naruto's eyes go comedically wide.
As they made their way back towards the castle Naruto stopped every few seconds to ask about things to which Queen Otohime was more than delighted to answer for him, the Otohime seemed to have taken a shine to the young boy.
'He could be how we bridge the gap between Fishmen and humans' she thought with a smile as Naruto still had wide eyes and was pointing at interesting things.
As Tiger watched Naruto's uncontrollable excitement that was similar to a small child, that was when he realised that Naruto was an actual child which baffled him even more with how much power some his age could have.
As they made their way into the castle Naruto meet the other children of Otohime and Neptune with that being Fukaboshi, Ryuboshi and Manhoshi, the three had greeted them before running away to play a game, Otohime had put Shirahoshi back to bed and when she returned they were all sitting around a table talking with one another.
"So what happened Tiger?" Neptune asked curious as to how he had ended up here the way he did, Tiger seemed uncomfortable with what he about to say but pushed through.
"On my adventures I was captured and made a slave." Tiger responded as he looked down at the table, Neptune looked on with a grim face as Otohime covered her mouth with her hands. "I was held at Mary Geoise but I escaped and went to Freedom island to see if I could get back here to Fishman island."
"While I was on Freedom island I was nearly caught multiple times by Marines so I hid in the forest which was how I meet Naruto. He said that he had a way out so I went with him, but we were tricked by slavers who tried to capture us but Naruto fought them back and accidentally sent us at break neck speed here." Tiger finished fighting his hands into fists.
Naruto who was listening along was shocked that Tiger had escaped from being a slave but nodded with his explanation of all the events at Freedom island.
"I know that you won't like what I am about to say my King and Queen but I am going back to a Mary Geoise to free the other Fishmen their, not matter what you say I will not change my mind. Me coming back to Fishman island was only so that I could tell you what my plans were without you being blindsided." Tiger said as he went to stand up.
"But what about mending the bridge between humans and Fishpeople?" Otohime asked.
"My Queen I to wish to live in peace with humans but right now I cannot leave my brothers and sisters up there." Tiger said as he pushed his chair back in and walked towards the exit.
"Tiger! I will not stop you in your endeavour but just be careful please." Neptune said with sympathetic eyes, Tiger looked back and nodded towards Neptune before leaving. As Tiger made his way down the hallway he heard a clatter behind him, turning around he was meet with Naruto running down the hallway after him.
"Tiger I'm coming with you!" Naruto yelled at Tiger. "I can't allow myself to not help you when you saved me."
"You can't Naruto you are two young, it will be to dangerous for you." Tiger said shacking his head at Naruto while turning to walk out.
"I'm coming with you no matter what you do, I'm plenty strong you've seen me and I won't be a hindrance to you!" Naruto yelled as he got in-front of Tiger.
"Fine, we leave in a week and don't be stupid when we are there I don't won't you to be killed." Tiger replied as a Naruto jumped into the air with a fist in the air.
Naruto spent most of the week in the castle waiting for Fisher Tiger, he spent a lot of his time with the three young princes who asked him questions about above the seas. He happily explained everything they asked and when he asked them a question they answered excitably back.
Queen Otohime had also spent time with Naruto asking about how humans thought of Fishpeople, Naruto wasn't sure how to answer since he never asked anyone what they thought of Fishmen. Otohime upon hearing that he didn't know there was prejudice against the two species explained the differences of the two species and some of the reasons for the prejudice, Naruto not being exposed to Celestial Dragons and how they were so called Gods and were above everyone. He still couldn't understand why people would have such thing as slaves.
Naruto after hearing about how people were captured and made into mindless slaves to answer for the wishes of Celestial Dragons it made his core burn, all doubt he had for going was now washed away as he prepared for the long journey.
It was the day that both Tiger and Naruto were to leave and free the slaves at Mary Geoise, Naruto was waiting at the entrance of Fishman island tapping his foot.
Eventually Tiger showed up with a calm look but inside he was burning with rage and a excitement of what he was going to do, looking at each other they gave each other a nod before walking to where the vast ocean meet Fishman island.
Naruto upon realising that he was going to have to go into the ocean he panicked, he wouldn't be able to breath when he was underwater to reach the surface. Thinking as hard as he could the only thing that he could think of doing was using that underwater current again, as he and Tiger were about to jump into the water he grabbed onto a Tigers arm and jumped in.
As they got into the water Naruto tried to use his powers and for a few seconds nothing happened until a massive gust of water shot them towards the surface, Naruto although focusing as hard as possible was getting tired and nearly losing conscious.
It only lasted a few minutes but once they broke the surface Naruto was barley able to move, Tiger noticing this grabbed Naruto before he could sink back underwater.
"Good job Naruto, have a rest while I climb you'll need your strength when we reach the top." Tiger said as he put Naruto on his back with him holding on, Tiger swam towards the Red line and looked up. It was so massive that Tiger couldn't even see the top, ignoring that he grabbed onto the Red line and started his climb.
It was gruelling the whole way up the Red line and Tiger had several moments where he was going to give up, each time this happened he thought back to pain and agony that Mary Geoise brought to the slaves there. He knew that if he made it there he could free all his brothers and sisters from their own nightmare and maybe give them a chance of a better life.
It had taken nearly two days to reach the top but Fisher Tiger had done it and now he was ready to enact the revenge that he had planned from the moment he was free, putting Naruto down beside him he got onto one knee and looked at Naruto.
"This is where we split up, you can start freeing when you see fire and I want you to stay safe but free as many as possible." Tiger said with a hard look.
"I will, I hope to see you again so don't die." Naruto responded with an equally as hard look, Tiger just chuckled and ruffled Naruto's hair.
"That's my line, I'll see you later Naruto." Tiger said as he got up a rushed away, Naruto watched him run away until he couldn't see him any more.
Quickly making his way into the forest that boarded Mary Geoise he got to the edge of the tree line and waited for the signal of fire to commence the operation.
Looking over Naruto noticed many buildings which seemed to be housing the slaves, their were so many that it looked like they went on forever. It made Naruto so mad he had to take a few breaths to calm himself down and focus on the mission at hand.
Mapping out where he would go Naruto spotted a fire in the distance far away which seemed to be closer to where the actual Celestial Dragons were housed. Sprinting from the tree line Naruto went to the first building which housed slaves which seemed to be a two story building with a guard at the front.
Drawing his claws out the guard didn't even get a chance to say anything before he hit the ground with a slash to his throat, Naruto knew that he could of been merciful but knowing what that man could of done to the people inside he didn't take any chances.
Walking into the building Naruto was meet with a sight similar to the one he saw on Freedom island, there were cells lining the walls and reaching the roof. Their was a stench so foul Naruto couldn't believe that people were living here, dashing those thoughts away Naruto leapt into action slashing at the locks on the cell doors.
The locks fell without much resistant but the occupants inside didn't respond, sighing Naruto seemed to gather the idea of why but he really did want them to know they were allowed to leave without punishment. So running his claws against the bars it made a loud noise which made most people look towards him, now having their attention he smiled.
"It's your lucky day, FREEDOM!" Naruto yelled out as he slashed more locks and as some of the slaves walked out of their cells, quickly leaving the building after he had unlocked every cell he looked back and saw that some of the slaves were looking out of the building. Seeing that they were indeed free they sprinted away with the others quickly following them ou, looking out Naruto saw that fire that Tiger must of started had spread to other buildings and was getting bigger by the second.
Sprinting from building to building Naruto freed as many people as he could without discrimination whether they were Fishmen or humans he couldn't care less.
Multiple guards had tried to stop him but none could take him down and all meet the same end result that being dead on the ground being trampled by the fleeing slaves who were now free.
Many of the freed slaves hugged Naruto and thanked him for freeing him while others watched him take down the guards spread the word between the slaves of his powers.
Naruto had spent hours freeing as many as he could and at this point he sure their were only a few left to free and started to try and think of a way out of here, the fire that Tiger had started as a signal to Naruto had grown so uncontrollably strong that he could barely focus on saving the slaves and now had to focus on not burning alive.
Naruto without realising had slowly been pushed to where the slaves were first brought in, now the slaves that were once brought up the Red line to serve the Celestial Dragons were now descending it back down into the grand line and into freedom. The guards that were stationed their had long been overwhelmed and were likely dead, Naruto started to formulate a plan to go with the slaves down the red line and hopefully find a way to safety once at the bottom.
Naruto made his way over to where the people were descending but stopped when he heard a loud scream from a building close to where he was.
"HELP!" a young voice yelled out from within the building and without thinking Naruto sprinted towards it as the other slaves continued to escape.
As Naruto entered the building he was meet with the sight of a large man, who Naruto presumed was a guard, trying to grab a young teenage girl, even though he was young Naruto could tell she was very beautiful with dark black hair that was done up in pigtails. The girl continued to dodge the man's attempts at grabbing her until he finally had enough and grabbed a branding iron that was in the fire.
It was at this moment that Naruto realised that this was the branding room, this was the moment that you lost all your freedom and everything that made you a person. Rage bubbled up within Naruto as blue energy poured out of him, the energy was so intoxicating as it surrounded him.
As the man went to strike the girl Naruto pushed her aside and the branding iron seared into him, the girl who was now on the ground pushed aside looked at him with wide eyes. The guard who had the branding iron still pushed against Naruto's skin was shocked when he grabbed it and snapped it in half, the iron and wood of it clattered to the ground as the guard stood there with a shocked look on his face.
Slashing his claws at the man he directly slashed his throat, the guard toppled over dead as the girl now watched Naruto stand their with wide eyes. Naruto slowly turned to her with a soft look on his face and smiled at her hoping to calm her down.
"Are you okay?" Naruto said with a laboured breaths, the girl nodded which made Naruto nod back. Finally feeling the full wait of his actions tonight Naruto staggered forward and dropped to the ground unconscious as his blue energy fizzled away.
The girl sat their in shock as this young boy had saved her and not only done that he also been branded as a slave, quickly snapping out of it she bent over and put the unconscious boys arm over her shoulder and hobbled with him outside to where their now fewer slaves. Looking around the girl saw two people that she instantly recognised.
"Sandersonia! Marigold!" The girl yelled out to the two people who turned to her with wide eyes, rushing over to her they hugged her.
"What happened Hancock, I thought I lost you!" Sandersonia said with tears in her eyes.
"It's okay but we have to get out of here, help me carrying him out." She said to her sisters who only now seemed to notice the boy that was with them.
"Who's he?"
"He saved me and I plan to return the favour, so just help me carrying him down." Hancock ordered her sisters who nodded and grabbed the boy, the four of them started walking to where all the other slaves had escaped to until a voice called out.
"You need some help?" Turning around the Boa sisters were welcomed with the sight of a man with white hair with two women beside him one was a smaller looking elderly women with a walking stick while the other one was smoking a cigarette.
Naruto woke with a shock sitting right up, his breath was quick as if he had just ran a race. Looking around Naruto noticed that the room was run down and reminded him of Ayakumi house, feeling pain on his chest he lifted his shirt over his head he looked down at his chest and saw the most dreaded mark in the world the slave mark. Sighing Naruto swun his legs out of the bed and put his shirt back on as he stood up and made his way over to the door.
'I gotta stop going full power every fight and I've gotta stop waking up in random places' Naruto thought as he opened the door, as he walked through he was greeted with the sight of a man with white hair, facial hair and round glasses sitting down at a bench. He seemed to be talking to a women who was smoking a cigarette behind a bar, she was slim and tall along with having black hair that had two tuffs pointing upwards.
"Good you awake, you've been asleep for a while now." The man said as he made his way over to Naruto. "You wouldn't happen to be related to a Uzumaki D. Kushina? You look very similar."
Naruto's jawed dropped how did this man know who his mother was, quickly shaking that thought away Naruto realised that he hadn't answered and just had his jaw openwhich made the lady at the bar laugh.
"Yeah she is, what does it matter to you anyway!?" Naruto yelled confused about how this man knew his mother.
"Well we sailed on the same ship for quiet some time."
Chapter 3 done and it is massive so I hope you enjoy reading it.
I think the story is progressing along well, I hope you enjoyed the non-canon islands because coming up with them was annoying but fun at the same time.
I hope to keep Naruto's powers vague till he goes back to Wano which is where most of his ancestry will be revealed including his powers.
Naruto will also be meeting Luffy very soon so get excited for it I guess and just to let you know Naruto is quiet older than Luffy.
