Prompt: You and me both have the same iPod and we sat next to each other on the bus and I think I took yours by accident, so here, and by the way I love Panic! At The Disco too AU
Characters: Kinanna and Erik
"Excuse me," I said gently walking up to the quiet man. He really didn't say much, despite us riding the bus together every day for almost a year. Not that I expected him to, people ride the bus to get places not to socialize but still, he never said anything. Not even a thank you to the bus driver, just came in, spiky hair hiding his earbuds and furrowed brow giving people scary looks.
Not that it had scared me, he just seemed to want some quiet, which was fine. There are only so many spots on a bus though, so somehow, I ended up sitting next to him almost every day.
Normally, I wouldn't say anything but today was important.
"Excuse me," I said a little louder, tucking my purple bangs out of my eyes.
He raised a notched eyebrow at me.
I gave a small smile and held out the iPod, black headphones wrapped neatly around it.
"We seem to have the same iPod and I took yours by accident yesterday."
He furrowed his brow at me, then glanced down at the iPod in his hand.
"I like Panic! At the Disco too" I murmur following his gaze to the iPod in his hand.
His eyes widen a little in realization and I swear he blushes. It's hard to tell with his sun-kissed tan, but the tops of his ears seem a little redder than they had been a moment ago.
He chuckles, and it's a wonderful sound. I watch as his face quirks into a grin.
"You've got good taste," he says, taking out the earbuds. "Could've sworn it was mine."
I like the sound of his voice and the way he says mine. I blush a little as we swap back iPods and I take my seat next to him, ready to ride to work.
I'm about to put my earbuds in when I see a large, callused hand in front of me, a black earbud resting in it.
I look over and he's gazing out the window. He doesn't say anything, but I look at his lap and the iPod is playing Panic!
I smile as I accept the earbud and we share music for the rest of the ride.
