Chapter 13: Welcome home!

Izuku and Itsuka smile while walking hand in hand back to the dorms.

The way back to U.A was shorter than they expected. Either that or they were too lost in their blissful thoughts to notice that they had already arrived. The guards at the entrance were surprised to see Itsuka, although they let the pair enter without any issue or problem.

Though, the lack of teachers and heroes around was a bit intriguing.

The couple sigh softly as they finally let the awful memories of the past few days fade from their minds. Satoshi and his gang had been quite the chapter in their lives... But the couple couldn't have asked for a better ending.

After all, they were an official couple at last!

Itsuka gives Izuku's hand a loving squeeze. She was a bit upset that Izuku decided to go off on his own to save her, but she couldn't be angry at him. Not now, not ever. Especially not now that she knew that he loved her back! To think the small piece of hers she had been missing was right in front of her all along...

Itsuka promised to herself that nothing would get in between them ever again.

Upon sensing her gentle gesture, Izuku squeezed her hand as well. He knew that going off to save her by himself was dangerous, irresponsible, questionable and reckless, but he didn't care at all at the moment nor did he regret it. He had managed to save Itsuka, take down Satoshi and his gang and start a relationship with Itsuka. Izuku holds back a sigh of gratitude.

He was grateful for being able to study at U.A, getting to meet amazing people like his classmates, having a chance to be a real hero and being All Might's successor. How did he get so lucky?

Whatever the reason was, Izuku didn't think too much about it. All he could do was do his best now that he had so much going for him when he had nothing at first.

As the couple finally reached the 1-B Heights Alliance dorms, they let go of each other's hands.

Itsuka looks at Izuku with a loving smile. "Welp, we're here."

Izuku smiles in return. "Yeah... We are."

Itsuka kisses Izuku on the cheek brifely. "Looks like this is where I leave you, Izuku... I guess I'll see you later..."

Izuku blushes slightly. "Y-Yeah... I-I'll see you later, Itsuka..."

Itsuka smiles at Izuku one last time before walking inside the building.

Izuku touches his own cheek before turning around and walking away with a goofy smile.

God... This was SO worth it.

Izuku walks back to his class's dorm rooms, clutching his cheek softly and thinking about his mission.

Itsuka's rescue didn't go as he had originally thought, but at least everything had ended happily for them both.

Still, though... The fact that Satoshi managed to get inside his head and play with him as he was some sort of sentient plaything was unsettling to say the least. Guess that proved how far he was from being at All Might's level, still.

At least Satoshi wouldn't be a problem for now.

But... What happened to Itsuka's former frends?

Izuku remembered seeing them at the abandoned hospital next to Satoshi, but they... didn't really do much of anything...

When he was fighting Itsuka, he remembered seeing and hearing Satoshi laughing and mocking him from the corner of his eye, but the girls had been absolutely quiet throughout the whole ordeal.

Heck, when Itsuka broke free and they both fought against Satoshi and his gang, the girls were nowhere to be seen! They didn't help Satoshi in any way, shape or form... Did they leave him?

Now that Izuku thought about it, when he entered the room and he saw the girls, even for that fraction of a second...

Izuku could swear he had seen genuine sadness in their eyes...

Izuku's train of thoughts was abruptly interrupted when he felt someone poking him from behind, and he let out a small yelp. "AGH!"

Izuku looked back to see that Itsuka was standing behind him with a smile on her face. Itsuka chuckles at Izuku's reaction. "Don't tell me THAT scared you, Izuku."

Izuku blushes and chuckles. "I... I just wasn't expecting it..."

Itsuka giggles. "Welp, I'll warn ya next time, promise!"

Izuku smiles. "So... Why are you here, Itsuka?"

Itsuka shrugs with a confused expression on her face. "You see... There's no one in the dorms."

Izuku raises his eyebrows. "Huh? Really? Why?"

Itsuka shrugs again. "Dunno. They must have all gone out to eat or something. I checked my phone but there was nothing. Not a single message..."

Izuku looks down and puts his finger to his chin in thought. "Huh... Weird. Could it be that there's some event today?"

Itsuka shakes her head. "Not that I know of. Plus, it's early afternoon."

Izuku tries to think of the reason for Itsuka's classmates leaving, but nothing comes to his mind. "That's strange... I doubt the entire class would go out at this hour."

Itsuka smiles and holds Izuku's hand. "You know... Perhaps maybe I could... I don't know... Spend some time in your room?"

Izuku stares at Itsuka, blushing profusely. "Huh?! In... In MY room?!"

Itsuka chuckles. "Yeah, why not? There's still plenty of time before curfew, and I don't feel like being alone right now. What do you say, tough guy? Think you can handle me for a couple of hours?"

Izuku looks down while blushing. "I... I... I-Well, I... I guess we c-can go to my room...?! Kinda?! Maybe?! Sorta?!"

Itsuka laughs softly while clinging to Izuku's arm. "Well, what are we waiting for? Lead the way, tiger!"

The walk to the 1-A dorms was much shorter, yet it felt more embarassing to Izuku.

Was this really happening?

Was a GIRL actually about to spend some time with him?

ALONE?

In HIS room?

And the girl was ITSUKA KENDO of all people?!

On the other hand, Itsuka felt incredibly relaxed. It was almost like Izuku adopted a different personality when he wasn't in hero mode.

She absolutely loved both of his personalities, though.

The heroic Deku was a source of great inspiration for her, as he had managed to come out on top even in the most bleak and hopeless scenarios he was presented with. The scars on his arms were proof of it.

The normal Izuku was the sweetest, most adorable and considerate guy she had ever met, as he got to meet her for who she really was, and he was nothing but accepting and caring to her.

Itsuka smiles happily, thinking of the many ways she'd make it up to Izuku for saving her.

The couple finally reach the 1-A dorms, and Itsuka lets go of Izuku, much to his relief.

Izuku rubs the back of his head sheepishly. "I... Umm... A-Are you REALLY sure you wanna spend some time in MY room, Itsuka? It's kinda embarassing..."

Itsuka rolls her eyes before opening the doors to the dorms. "Come on, Izuku! What's the worst that can-"

As soon as the doors open, the loud sound of many voices shouting makes Izuku and Itsuka jump in surprise.

Upon fixing their eyes on the sight in front of them, Izuku and Itsuka realize that their classmates are standing in front of them with huge smiles on their faces.

Kirishima grins. "Midoriya! You made it, man! Hella manly!"

Reiko smiles softly. "Thank you, Midoriya..."

Mina jumps up and down. "Welcome home! You two are awesome!"

Ibara smiles widely. "Thanks for rescuing Kendo, Midoriya. May the Lord bless your soul..."

Setsuna gives Itsuka a genuine smile. "How are you, prez? I hope those bastards didn't hurt you, otherwise they'll deal with me!"

Izuku and Itsuka look at their classmates with confused, yet relieved and happy expressions. Everyone is here! Even Bakugo, Monoma and Todoroki were there!

Though, Izuku and Itsuka were slightly confused as to why they were hanging at the back.

Still, the gesture was what mattered.

Itsuka talks first. "Guys...?! You... What are you doing here?!"

Pony chimes in, smiling too. "We came here to surprise you and Midoriya once you got back, Itsuka!"

Setsuna nods. "Hell yeah, we did! Thanks for saving Prez, Greenie!"

Izuku giggles at his nickname with a confused smile. "How... How did you guys know about it?"

Sero and Awase chuckle. Kaminari speaks. "We were bored, so we decided to watch the news, and what do you know? We saw you handing those criminals to the police, dude!"

Izuku's eyes widen in slight surprise. Izuku mentally shrugs, thinking that he really should have expected it coming from the press. He didn't expect to be interviewed live, but the way the reporter had spoken should have been a hint.

Hagakure speaks in a cheerful tone. "The boys told us and we told class B. We decided to put together a little something to surprise you two before you got back!"

Itsuka smiles fondly at her friends and classmates. "Guys... You didn't have to do this..."

Tetsutetsu gives Itsuka a pointy grin. "But we WANTED to do this, Kendo! You're our big sister! You do so much for us! What kind of class would we be if we didn't do something for you, huh? Hella unmanly, that's what!"

Itsuka chuckles. "Thanks, guys... It means a lot..."

Momo smiles softly. "Even though not all of us approved of you wandering off on your own to save Kendo, we are proud, relieved and happy that you managed to save her, Midoriya. Let's make this a small celebration for you returning safe and sound with her and for Itsuka's rescue being a success."

Iida nods. "Midoriya, what you did was absolutely reckless, irresponsible and downright insane... But no one knows what would've happeed to Kendo if you didn't save her the moment you did. Once again, you've shown that you're hero material. As your fellow classmate, I hope I can learn more from you."

Izuku smiles warmly. "Thanks, guys..."

Iida's stare turns serious for a moment. "But don't think I won't sanction you if you do something like that again, Midoriya."

Izuku rubs his head sheepishly. "Y-Yes, Iida..."

Pony looks behind her and looks at Itsuka with a more serious expression. "Actually... Itsuka..."

Itsuka looks at Pony with a curious expression at her sudden change in tone. "Yes, Pony...?"

Pony smiles softly. "There's someone who wants to talk to you... And she wanted everyone to be present too..."

Pony steps aside to reveal Yui, who is looking down at the ground in shame.

Itsuka's eyes widen for a moment in surprise.

After the moment passes, Itsuka steps closer to Yui and looks at her with a concerned expression. "Yui...? What's wrong?"

Yui looks up at Itsuka, and she finally notices the small tears on the corners of her eyes. "I... I want to apologize to you, Kendo... I want to apologize to everyone..."

Everyone looks at Yui with both surprised and sad expressions. Yui was the kind of person wo didn't show much emotion, so seeing her like this was both new and upsetting to her classmates.

Itsuka feels a wave of sadness wash over her at seeing her usually composed friend so downtrodden. "But... Why are you apologizing, Yui? You did nothing wrong... Not to me or the class..."

Yui looks at the floor again. "This was my fault... If I hadn't pointed you to Midoriya and Bakugo going off on their own, then you wouldn't have been kidnapped..."

Izuku and Bakugo feel a pang of guilt hit their souls. Izuku looks at the ground with a sad expression while Bakugo simply looks away.

Itsuka approaches Yui and puts her hands on her shoulders, looking at her with a soft expression. "Yui... This isn't your fault. If anything, I got myself kidnapped for being so careless-"

Yui sighs and puts Itsuka's hands away, looking at her with a remorseful expression. "But... That's not everything, Itsuka... Ever since you got taken, the dorms have been different... Everyone has been really worried for you, and nothing felt the same... I still remember the girls being more irritable, and the boys being sadder..."

The students from class B fall silent at that.

Yui wasn't wrong.

Even if Itsuka was gone for a couple of days, those days were incredibly hard for everyone. Shoda had to step up as class rep, but even he couldn't deny that Itsuka was irreplacable. The girls felt like their most important member had disappeared from one day to the other, while the boys felt uninspired most of the time. Not even Monoma had the energy to mock class A following Itsuka's disappearance.

Itsuka shakes her head and holds Yui's hand in hers. "Yui... That's... That's a big burden to put on your shoulders..."

Yui lets a single tear roll down her cheek. "But... But it's true... If I hadn't said anything... If I didn't make that stupid mistake... If I had just kept my mouth shut... We'd all still be happy... You wouldn't have been taken... You could have been having fun with us... Because of me, the dorms were filled with sadness and anxiety..."

Ibara steps closer to Yui and places her hand on her shoulder. "Yui... You shouldn't blame yourself for this..."

Yui looks down again, letting more tears out from her eyes. "You don't understand... I'm usually the most quiet person in class, because most of the time I don't really know what to say... When I was younger I used to talk more, but sometimes I came on really strongly and got a little too intense with my passions... That just made people not want to be around me... I started to hate myself... I started to hate the way I talked, my passion for certain stuff like heroes, and the way I can come off as being too blunt sometimes..."

Todoroki looks away. He understood where Yui was coming from. Being raised by his dad, who didn't allow him to spend time with his siblings, Shoto failed to understand most social cues and situations most of the time. He wanted to be a hero just as much as everyone in the room, but due to the way he was raised, his fellow classmates thought he was some smug, stuck up douchebag at first. Todoroki had many passions and interests, but no one knew about them due to him not knowing how to properly communicate with his classmates.

Tsuyu starts to tear up. She knew exactly what Yui was referring to. The way she talked to Momo, Iida, Kirishima, Todoroki and Izuku at the hospital before they went off to save Bakugo from the League of Villains... That was something that had stuck with her for a while. She basically called them villains to prevent them from rescuing Bakugo, and they still did it. After that, Tsuyu felt like a rift in their friendship had opened and nothing would be the same again. Tsuyu knew she could be blunt sometimes, and that was something she disliked about herself...

Yui looks at Itsuka with fresh tears falling from her eyes. "So... I stopped talking altogether... If no one wanted to hear me talk, then it's easier if I just closed myself off... But I can't help it... I WANT to get along with everyone! I've been spending more time with Shoto, trying to open up more to you all because I want to be closer to you... But no matter what happens, it seems like all goes downhill everytime I open my mouth! I... I want to apologize to everyone... You've all been the most amazing group of friends I've ever had... I'm sorry for getting Itsuka kidnapped! I promise I won't mess up again!"

Class B starts to tear up.

Now they knew how Yui felt. For the longest time they thought Yui was incapable of feeling emotions, but that was far from who she really was.

She cared for everyone, perhaps a little too much.

Itsuka lets out a single tear before wrapping Yui in a big, warm hug. "Yui! Don't feel sorry! This isn't your fault!"

Setsuna joins the hug, crying as well. "Thanks for telling us all this, Yui! But you don't have to censor yourself around us!"

Tetsutetsu hugs Yui as well. "You're safe here, Yui! No one will judge you or I'll pummel their faces!"

Yui accepts the hug, crying freely. "Thank you... Thanks, everyone..."

Eventually, every member of class B hugs Itsuka and Yui, sobbing freely while finally releasing all their pent-up emotions. They were relieved at the fact that Itsuka was safe, ecstatic because Itsuka was now back, sad at Yui's mentality, glad that they now understood their friend...

But more importantly...

They felt happy now that they were whole again.

Class A stands back and let the scene unfurl, tearing up themselves at the wholesome sight before them. Todoroki smiles faintly, hiding it from everyone else.

After a minute, everyone lets go of Yui and smiles at her. Itsuka wipes some of the tears off her face and squeezes Yui's hands with hers. "Yui... Thanks for telling us how you feel... But you really shouldn't apologize. Things like this just happen, and you can't blame yourself for every single one of them. What happened to me was unfortunate, but it's in the past now. I'm here now, and I'm not gonna go away again."

Ibara steps close to Yui. "You're not a bad person, Yui. Even though you don't talk much in class, we all love and care for you. If you were the one taken away insead of Itsuka, we'd be JUST as worried for you."

Setsuna nods. "You can be yourself around us, Yui. We're like a family already! You're safe with us... If anyone messes with you, they'll have to answer to us."

Yui smiles tearfully at her class. "Thanks, guys... Thanks..."

After a moment, Awase and Shoji step close to Izuku, Itsuka and Yui with plates and cups in their hands. "Well... Now that the drama is out of the way, here we have a little something for you three."

Izuku, Itsuka and Yui look at the boys and realize that Shoji is holding a slice of cake for each one of them and Awase is bringing them some soda. Itsuka chuckles. "You guys thought of everything, didn't you?"

Awase smiles. "It's a bit hastily made, but Sato is an amazing cook. Plus, Yui told us to save some cake and soda for you."

Itsuka looks at Yui with a teasing smile. "Aw, you're such a sweetheart."

Yui smiles, blushing slightly.

Mina brings a boombox. "Well, what are we waiting for, everyone? Let's party! For Yui, Kendo and Midori!"

Everyone cheers.

The rest of the afternoon passed quickly for the students.

The party was a bit improvised, but that just meant less dishes to wash and less stuff to clean up. Everyone was having a blast, even those who usually weren't the type to party. Momo and Iida had put down their responsible attitudes the time the party lasted, since this was an event like no other before. Even Monoma put his prejudices of class A aside for the moment and had spent time with some of them!

Yui, Itsuka and Izuku couldn't feel happier. They felt like they had finally found a place they could feel at ease in.

Izuku felt like all the judging stares and annoyed expressions he was given in his quirkless past would be no more.

Itsuka felt like she could forget and forgive anything at the moment, since her classmates offered her camaraderie like no obe ever before has.

Yui felt like she could let loose a little more now that her feelings were laid on the table, and she got into more conversations these past hours than in the last week or so.

The party was slowing down, and it was almost time to clean up. However, Itsuka noticed that Bakugo was already going away.

Itsuka thought about it for a moment. She had always wanted to talk to him in private... Well, what better chance than now?

Itsuka told her friends that he needed to use the restroom before going after Bakugo.

Once Itsuka was behind Bakugo in a lonely corridor, Itsuka made the first contact. "Hey."

Bakugo turns around with a bemused expression. "Hm? What do you want?"

Itsuka crosses her arms with a small smile. "So... Were you dragged here or did you come on your own will?"

Bakugo rolls his eyes. "Why does that matter?"

Itsuka's smile doesn't diminish. "Dunno. Guess I just wanted to see your reason for attending... Was it me or Izuku? Because my gut tells me you did it for him since you two have a pretty weird relationship..."

Bakugo raises an eyebrow. "Huh? The hell do you mean by that?"

Itsuka steps closer to him. "Listen, pal... Perhaps you know this already, but the reason I got kidnapped is because I went off on my own after you and Izuku that night."

Bakugo crosses his arms. "Yeah, I know. So?"

Itsuka keeps smiling. "I know about One for All and your relationship with Izuku."

Bakugo's eyes widen. "The fuck?! Since when?!"

Itsuka chuckles. "Calm down, big guy. I've known about One for All since we moved here and I promised Izuku I wouldn't tell anyone."

Bakugo uncrosses his arms. "Tch. Goes off to show how that nerd can't keep his mouth shut to save his life."

Itsuka's smile fades. "Well, can you blame him? This secret is too much for one person to keep."

Bakugo scoffs. "As if. All the nerd had to do was shut his damn mouth for once."

Itsuka uncrosses her arms. "You know... Perhaps you don't agree with me on this, but we all need other people in our lives."

Bakugo huffs. "Stop blabbering and get to the point, man hands."

Itsuka sighs, ignoring the nickname. "We all have problems, and sometimes they're too big to handle on our own. Swallowing down your pride in order to trust others is hard, but necessary if you want to ease your problems."

Bakugo rolls his eyes. "Uh huh. And why the hell are you telling me this sappy crap?"

Itsuka looks at Bakugo in the eye. "Because I know you have more depth than you let others know. I have a... semi-friend which acts like you. I know how you blamed yourself after All Might retired. We've both been kidnapped by villains too. At this point I can safely say that I understand you a bit more than you think, gunpowder gelatine."

Bakugo flinches slightly at the mention of his kidnapping at the hands of the League of Villains and his self-loathing after All Might's retirement.

Seems like Itsuka struck a nerve.

Bakugo looks at Itsuka with a serious expression. "Don't you DARE bring that up, Kendo."

Itsuka smiles softly.

Itsuka keeps looking at Bakugo in the eye. "Don't worry, Bakugo. I won't. My point is that you should really let someone know how you feel, or you'll just be lost in your own darkness with no one to save you when you need it. And don't say you don't need anyone, because that fight with Izuku told me otherwise."

Bakugo scoffs. "Whatever. I've known the nerd for a long time anyways..."

Itsuka chuckles softly. "Either way... Thanks for being there. I still don't know if you were dragged to the party or if you came on your own will, but I appreciate the gesture."

Bakugo huffs. "Yeah, yeah, whatever..."

Itsuka raises an eyebrow. "One last question, though."

Bakugo groans. "What is it?"

Itsuka looks at Bakugo with a serious expression. "Did Monoma talk to you before your fight with Izuku?"

Bakugo sighs. "Yeah, the damn blondie did. Why?"

Itsuka groans. "Just making sure. That's it for me, Bakugo. I'll leave you alone now."

Bakugo turns around. "About time."

Itsuka turns around to leave.

Well... That went better than how it did at the Sports Festival, at least.

That was it. Bakugo had confirmed her suspicions.

One of these days Monoma would have the ass-kicking of a lifetime.

Itsuka smiles faintly to herself as she walks away.

She hadn't heard Bakugo call others by their actual names many times before.

Although...

The times he did, she could tell that Bakugo had a certain level of respect for the people he called by their names.

Itsuka decided to not comment on it, though.

On the other hand, Bakugo smiles softly to himself.

Perhaps deciding to attend to this damn party HAD been worth it after all.

Izuku wakes up and finds himself dressed in his hero outfit on the rooftop of a strangely familiar building. It was night time and for some reason the buildings on the distance were blurry.

Was this the rooftop of his former middle school?

Izuku looks around in a daze. "Where... am I?"

Then, Izuku hears someone behind him. "Wow. How interesting..."

Izuku freezes in place. That voice...

Izuku looks behind him and sees...

Himself?!

He was dressed in a formal suit, and had a strange device around his neck.

Wait a second...

Why did he look like All for One?!

The other Izuku chuckles in an amused tone. "It's just like looking in a mirror... Well, almost."

Izuku steps back. "Who are you? Satoshi? Is that you again?"

The other Izuku giggles. "You know Satoshi? Interesting... Judging from your outfit I'm guessing you're a hero."

Izuku raises an eyebrow. "I am, but... Are you...?"

The other Izuku grins. "Bingo. I'm a villain."

Izuku feels goosebumps on his entire body.

How did THIS happen?

Where even was he?

Why was he a villain?

What was happening?

The villain looks around. "I know you're probably confused, but believe me, I am too. I don't know why we're both here, but I'm not complaining. At least I get to see how foolish I would have looked like if I kept chasing my delusional dream of becoming a hero."

Izuku takes a deep breath to calm himself down before speaking in a more serious tone. "Alright... This doesn't make any sense. Why are you and I here? We can't be together in one place if we're the same person. Something's wrong here."

Villain Izuku thinks for a moment. "You're right. We can't be in the same place if we were the same person... But we're not the same person, are we? You and I chose different paths by the looks of it."

Izuku nods. "I agree. If you're a villain and I'm a hero then..."

The villain looks at the blurred buildings on the distance. "... Then this isn't real."

Silence fills the air for some moments, with both Izukus looking at the distance thoughtfully.

After some moments, Izuku sighs. "So... You and I are the same in everything except for our paths?"

The villain shrugs. "Depends. What's your goal?"

Izuku raises his eyebrows. "My goal?"

The villain nods. "Yeah, what do you want to do with your life?"

Izuku looks at his twin with a serious expression. "I will become the greatest hero there is. Just like I always wanted to."

The villain scoffs. "Yeah, right. I forgot how stupid, gullible and foolish I was when I was a kid..."

Izuku raises his eyebrows. "Excuse me? If you and I are really the same then we both had that dream when we were kids."

Villain Deku chuckles bitterly. "Yeah, I know. I guess it took reality slapping me in the face to realize how far-fetched my dream was."

Izuku crosses his arms. "Oh, yeah? What happened to you?"

The villain looks at the horizon with a dark smile on his face." All Might and Bakugo happened. After Bakugo told me to take a swan dive off the roof of the school and All Might told me I couldn't become a hero because I was quirkless, Bakugo got caught by a sludge villain. I was passing by when I saw it happen. I remember running off to save him... But I tripped and fell on my way..."

Izuku remembers the events prior to the sludge villain incident. The way his twin explained them to him... Everything seemed to happen the same way for them both, although Izuku didn't remember tripping on his way over to Bakugo and the villain.

The villain looks down with a smile on his face. "Luckily for me, All Might was also there, and he saved me and Bakugo just in time. However, once I was walking home alone, All Might appeared. I thought he came by to say thanks, but... He told me that I was being idiotic for thinking I could help anyone. All Might scolded me for being reckless, reprimended me for being clumsy, he told me that I should just accept reality... And he told me that I would never become a hero."

Izuku feels a pang of sadness for his twin. "I... I'm sorry to hear that."

The villain chuckles. "Don't be. I feel better now that I have people who actually care for me. All for One was there for me when All Might wasn't. Shigaraki offered me camaraderie when Bakugo gave me pain. The League of Villains offered me acceptance when no one else would, and I'll do everything in my power to protect them."

Izuku feels a shiver run down his spine. "You... You're working with them? Wasn't there another way?"

The villain shakes his head. "Even if there was, I wouldn't have taken it. All for One has shown me how corrupt, dirty and disgusting hero society is. I hope you don't discover it too for the sake of your innocence, little hero."

Izuku stares at his twin with a serious expression. "You know... I still feel bad for you..."

The villain's smile fades for a moment. "Huh?"

Izuku crosses his arms. "What happened to you was awful... In my case, All Might told me that I could become a hero, and he passed his quirk onto me."

The villain raises an eyebrow. "Really? All Might gave One for All to you? Not Bakugo or that wannabe blonde from U.A?"

Izuku shakes his head. "No. I don't know what your All Might was going through when he said that to you, but he must have been tired or annoyed that day. I can't imagine All Might saying such hurtful words..."

The villain scoffs and looks away, sitting on the edge of the rooftop. "Well, he still said it and now look at me. Can't say I regret doing this, though. I got to meet some people who society often ignores. Jin, Toga, Spinner, Dabi, Itsuka-"

"WAITWAITWAIT! You know Itsuka?!" Izuku's eyes were practically saucers.

The villain nods with a confused expression. "Uhh... Yeah, I know Itsuka. She's my girlfriend. What, you know her or something?"

Izuku sits beside his twin, looking at him with a shocked expression. "I... I DO know her! She's... well.. We're..."

The villain mirrors Izuku's surprised expression. "No way... You two are heroes?!"

Izuku nods. "Yeah! I... I never would have imagined her turning into a villain!"

The villain shrugs. "And we would've never thought we'd see Itsuka being a hero. Huh... Guess anything CAN indeed happen."

Izuku nods. "Yeah, no kidding... And... Do you know her former friends?"

"You mean Honoka, Hikari, Misa and Haruka? Yeah, they're a part of the team too alongside Satoshi, Saisuke, Kenshin and Kouki."

Izuku couldn't be more surprised.

A universe like that couldn't be possible, right? There's no way he'd be a villain alongside Itsuka, her former friends and the gang who kidnapped them both!

Izuku rubs his head in amazement. "Huh... That's... strange... In my world Itsuka is not on the best of terms with her former friends, and they partnered up with Satoshi and his gang to kidnap us."

The villain shrugs. "Yeah, that sounds about right. My Itsuka also had some problems with her friends before we let them join the League. However, we all made peace with one another because we all strived towards one goal..."

Izuku notices that his twin is now smiling widely.

The villain looks at Izuku with a grin. "The complete destruction of hero society..."

Izuku stares at his counterpart, supressing his uneasiness.

The villain giggles. "Ah, yes... Bakugo and All Might think they can stop us, that they can stop the League, but they're wrong... We shall destroy this corrupt hero society and rule over its ashes..."

Izuku stays silent.

The villain looks at him with a smile. "How does it feel, huh? How does it feel knowing what you could have ended up doing if a certain someone said some stuff you didn't want to hear?"

Izuku speaks in a serious tone. "I feel nothing."

The villain looks at his heroic counterpart with a surprised expression. "Huh?"

Izuku lifts his gaze to look at his twin with a serious stare. "You think I'll stop being a hero and give up on my dream just because of the things you told me? No. I won't deny that you have plenty of reasons to be mad at the world, but like you said, you're not me. Our worlds aren't the same and the events that shaped us aren't the same."

The villain raises his eyebrow.

Izuku stands up, looking down at his villain counterpart with a determined expression. "I don't know what happened in your world to make you resort to such extremes just to survive, but you're not me. I'm a U.A High class 1-A student. My homeroom teacher is Eraserhead. I have amazing friends and classmates who care about me and I just saved Itsuka Kendo from being turned into a criminal's puppet."

The villain grits his teeth.

Izuku's stare hardens. "I know who I am, and I know what I stand for. In a way, we're not much different either. I want to make the world a better place by being a hero capable of saving everyone, while you want to make the world a better place by ending its corrupt systems. We both have our own ways that we won't change. I don't agree on yours, and I know you don't agree on mine. However, neither of us is in a position to change the other's ways. I won't stand in your way, and I know you won't stand in mine."

After a moment of silence, the villain sighs and stands up. "I suppose you're right on that. I'm a member of the League of Villains. My master is All for One... for now. I have amazing friends who care about me and I saved Itsuka and her little gang of misfits from killing each other by recruiting them. You're not me and I'm not you."

Izuku looks away. "I know who my friends are, and U.A is my home."

The villain nods. "I know who my enemies are, and the League of Villains is my home."

Izuku nods in return. "Goodbye, villain me."

The villain waves before turning around. "Sayonara, hero me. May we never meet again..."

Izuku opens his eyes to find himself on his room.

Upon turning his head to his side, he realizes that Itsuka is next to him. The party from last night combined with the strain their bodies had experienced after fighting Satoshi and his gang took a lot out of them both by the looks of things.

Normally, Izuku would have turned into a blushing mess at the sight of Itsuka next to him on his own bed, but the tiredness he felt, combined with the thoughts about his dream prevented him from even getting up.

Eventually, Itsuka opens her eyes and looks at Izuku with a small smile. "Hey... Good morning, Izuku... Welcome home, dummy..."

Izuku decides to forget about his dream and embrace his reality with a smile. "I'm home..."

I present to you: The original idea for this fic!

Yeah, this story was originally going to be about villain Deku and Kendo, but I thought that would have been too much of a stretch for me to write, so I stuck with this idea instead.

I plugged this as more of an easter egg, so don't expect villain Deku to appear again.

Thanks for reading!

See ya in the next chapter!
