Chapter 6: A Lioness's Prey and a Bear's Lament (2/2)
Raziel Baratheon:
"How's Tommen?"
The Crown Prince was currently sitting on the ground with his bastard cousin Joy. Both were doing tumbling moves on their small clothes until they got tired.
"He hasn't spoken a word since he came back." Joy answered him. "Myrcella is trying to get him to talk but... nothing so far."
All three of them were glad when his uncle Tyrion returned with Tommen. But Tommen didn't seem to be okay, he didn't spoke a word since he came back. Everyone is worried about him.
Raziel stood up and did a cartwheel.
"How can you still going?" Joy asked as she was really tired.
"Training is way harder than this." Raziel replied, he had to do things that tired him way more in the training yard. Raziel then took a good look at Joy and saw her scar again. "Did it hurt?" He asked while pointing at it.
"A lot." She told him.
Raziel then got closer and approached his face into the scar. Was it deep?" He touches it.
Joy giggles a bit. "It tickles."
Raziel heard it and looked at her. "Oh really?" He then started to tickle.
Joy started to laugh hysterically as a result. "HAHAHA! No! HHAHAHA!" She tried to say as she laughed.
Raziel got on top of her and kept on tickling her for a little while.
"HAHAHAHA! PLEASE STOP! I'M GONNA PEE!" Joy tried to warn him.
Raziel heard it and decided to stop, which Joy then regained her breath. He was still on top of her and just looked at her face for a bit. Joy is really fun to be around. Raziel thought.
Joy fully regain her breath and notice Raziel staring at her. "Is something wrong?"
Raziel was in deep thought, because he wanted to do something. "Joy..." He decided to ask. "Can I kiss you again?"
Joy cheeks turned a bit red. "Ummm... why?" She asked with a nervous face.
"Because I want to kiss you." Raziel replied. "But... if you don't want,"
"I... ummmm..." Joy didn't know what to say. "O-okay." She finally answered, she closed her eyes and parts her lips slightly.
Raziel smiled and approached his face. He kissed her like the first time but, he decided to do something different this time. Which she noticed since she opened her eyes, he put his tongue in her mouth like his mother has done several times. Joy didn't seen to complain but it felt like she didn't know what she was doing, and honestly, neither did Raziel.
They separated and looked at each other.
"Why did you licked inside my mouth?" Joy asked looking curious.
"Because..." Raziel didn't know how to answer. I can't tell her that this is how my mother kisses me. He thought in worry. "I heard that this is how grown ups kiss." He tried to say.
"It's gross, your spit went inside my mouth. Can we just kiss with the lips?" Joy asked as she sat up.
"Yes." Raziel replied. It wasn't as fun as it is with mother. But I like kissing Joy. He thought.
Suddenly, Joy approached her face and gave him a kiss on the lips. Which Raziel gladly returned.
Raziel Baratheon and Joy Hill kept on kissing for nearly half an hour. Until Joy finally put a stop to it and decided to go check on Myrcella.
The Prince on the other hand, decided to go to the training yard to train for a bit. But when he arrived at there, he saw his uncle.
"Hi, Uncle Tyrion." Raziel greeted him.
"Good evening, Nephew." His uncle replied while drinking a cup of wine. "What are you doing?"
"I was going to practice for a bit," He answered, then he noticed that his uncle was holding a sword. "Is that... Red Rain?" Raziel asked. He read a lot about Valyrian steel weapons and he reconized the sword by the book's description.
"Yes, I'm taking it to Lannisport." His uncle explained. "My lord father wants the sword to look more... Lannister."
"Very extravagant and gilted in gold?" Raziel humorously commented.
His Uncle laughed at that. "That is a perfect way to describe our family." Tyrion commented.
"I'm not really doing anything right now, can I go with you?" Raziel asked with a smile.
"Why not, I could use the company." Tyrion replied with a smile.
Eddard Stark:
The Warden of the North was in a very confusing situation. A few days ago, he received a raven from Bear Island informing him of the demise of their Lord, Jorah Mormont. And alongside that, he was being accused by Tywin Lannister of conspiring with Ironborns against House Lannister.
Eddard had to see what was that all about, so he traveled to Bear Island in order to check if the accusations were true. Only to have a shocking revelation that they were indeed correct.
According to Maege Mormont, her nephew left Bear Island to go participate on a tourney for the Crown Prince's nameday. But she told him that she thought there was strange going on, since he went completely by himself and there was no sight of him after the tourney ended. Alongside several rumors that he crowed Jaime Lannister's wife, his queen of love and beauty and that he tried to purposely kill Jaime Lannister during the tourney's Melee.
What really confirmed his involvement, was his presence on the ruins of Tarbeck Hall. Where Tommen Lannister was being held captive by House Drumm, who Jorah was seem interacting with his heir in a tavern, a few days before.
All of this looks really bad. Eddard thought as he watched the sea on board the deck of the ship.
Eddard Stark decided to accompany Maege Mormont and her daughters to meet with the Lannisters to discuss the retaliation for Jorah's crimes. He did it mostly because he was worried that Tywin Lannister would do something drastic with House Mormont. As he was aware of the man's reputation for retaliations.
"I must thank you again for accompanying us, Lord Stark." Eddard was interrupted from his thoughts by the new Lady of Bear Island.
"It's no trouble, although I must warn you." Eddard looked worried. "Tywin Lannister is a ruthless man, he won't be taking any crime against his family lightly."
"I am aware of Lord Lannister's ruthlessness, Lord Stark." She replied. "Which is why I fear for the safety of my house. But I just can't understand, what could my nephew possibly expect to gain by doing such a thing?" Maege asked her Liege Lord. "I was aware of his infatuation with the Hightower girl, but to do something like this."
People do unspeakable things for love. Eddard thought, and decided to ask her something. "Speaking of which, was there ever anything between your nephew and Lynesse Lannister?" He asked her in order to try to understand it better.
"My nephew has been infatuated with that woman, since the end of King Robert's rebellion. Apparently, he saw her for the first time during the first Tourney of King Robert's reign." Maege explained to Eddard, with a clear annoyance.
"But... he was already married during that time." Eddard pointed out.
"I think he was much more upset when Lynesse Hightower married Jaime Lannister, than when his own wife died during childbirth." She spoke with a lot of disgust in her voice. "If I knew that he was going to the west, I would have stopped him." She stated regrettably.
Eddard sighed after hearing that. I just hope that his actions didn't doomed House Mormont. He was still having trouble believing how such a mess could occur. I'll probably be executing him myself for this, if he wasn't already dead.
All that the Lord of Winterfell could do for now, was observe the sea and pray for the Old Gods that this situation can be resolved peacefully.
Raziel Baratheon:
What an ugly helmet. Raziel said internally as he saw a very ugly helmet that was misshapen and the visor looked really bulky.
The Prince decided to accompany his uncle on his trip for Lannisport. He noticed something strange when he arrived there however. Lannisport was somewhat empty, which was strange considering that it was a area with a focus on trade.
He didn't thought much about it, as his uncle didn't seem to pay much mind to it. They quickly arrived at the smith and delivered the Valyrian steel sword to be reforged for House Lannister.
"You want it?" Tyrion asked with a comical smile. As Raziel was observing the ugly helmet very intensively.
"No..." Raziel replied with a somewhat comical face. "I think Sandor scar is prettier than this helmet." He commented while looking at his sworn-shield. "No offense." He told him.
Sandor just stared at him with a uncaring face.
"Did you deliver the sword?" Raziel asked his uncle. I wonder what is going to look like.
"Yes, he said that it will take three days to reforge." Tyrion explained. "I just hope that I don't have to be the one to collect it."
Raziel looked around for a bit, Lannisport was a bit empty today. Which was strange to say the least. "Why is everything so empty?" Raziel asked.
"Well... Rumors about what the Ironborn did to our house traveled around and... They are really worried that there will be a second surprise attack at Lannisport." Tyrion explained while scratching the back of his head.
"Like in the rebellion." He stated. Then he looked around a bit more, to see if he could find an open store or a merchant. He unfortunately only sees a single merchant on the street. What is he selling? He asked himself before walking towards him.
"Hey, wait up." Tyrion spoke as he followed him.
Raziel approached the single merchant on the street. It was a olive skinned old man with dark eyes and grey hair. He was sitting in a pillow on the ground, with a small makeshift roof above his head, a shelve behind him and a improvised counter in front of him with a few items on top. "Welcome." The man greeted him.
"Hello, what are you selling it?" The Prince asked. He's definitely a Rhoynar.
"Whatever you're buying it." The man spoke with signaling him to check out his items.
Unfortunately, he didn't exactly had anything worth buying it. Just some random objects like vases and low quality jewelry. But then there was something, Raziel heard a sound behind the counter. He moved himself a bit to see what was making that sound. And that's when he saw it.
There was a small creature on a cage. Raziel looked closely and reconized what it was. It's... a Hrakkar. A Hrakkar's cub. Raziel reconized from the description on a book that he read once. Hrakkar are a breed of white lion native to the Dothraki sea.
"Why do you have a Hrakkar cub on a cage?" Raziel asked the merchant.
"Hrakkar's fur is worth a lot." He told the Prince. "A Dothraki slayed this cub's mother and took her fur, I decided to wait until he's big enough to skin him for it." He explained.
"Wouldn't be easier just to hunt an already grown one?" Tyrion asked.
"Look at me Dwarf, I wouldn't last a second with a fully grown Hrakkar." The old man pointed out.
"And you might also not last long enough to be able to skin this cub anyway." Tyrion also pointed out.
"Will you buy something or not?!" The old man was starting to lose his patience.
Raziel took a good look at the sleeping Hrakkar cub for a bit. Until the Hrakkar's cub opened his eyes, revealing that it had blue eyes like the Prince. The boy and the animal stared into each others eyes for a bit, without any type of movement or reaction from any. It stayed like that for a few seconds until Raziel finally spoke. "How much for the cub?"
Jon Arryn:
The Hand of the King was accompanying the King on his travels to Casterly Rock, in order to resolve the problem involving the Ironborn attacking the Queen's family.
He was riding besides his foster son, who seems to be about to explode in anger.
"Those fucking Ironborn! After I let them live!" Robert yelled in anger while gulping a bit of wine.
"Calm down, we need to see what is this all about." Jon tried to calm him but to no sucess.
"Calm down?! Those fucks attacked again after we showed mercy to them!" Robert replied in anger.
Jon sighed at that. I'm sure that Balon Greyjoy had nothing to do with this, so I really wanna get this story clear before Robert decides to order the extermination of the Iron Islands. "I don't think Balon Greyjoy has anything to do with this, he's stubborn but I highly doubt that he would be stupid enough to try something so soon." Jon explained to Robert. "Also, this seemed to be more of a direct attack towards House Lannister."
"How do you know?" Robert asked.
"Because why would they kidnap Tommen Lannister and not Raziel if this had anything to do with Balon." Jon pointed out. "The Lannister barely did much against Balon, you and Ned were the ones that dealt with him on the rebellion."
Robert sighed at that, probably because he saw that Jon had a point. He just gulped down more wine.
Still though, I don't know the whole story as Tywin preferred to tell me details in person. I just hope that we can solve this situation peacefully. Jon thought as he rode his horse besides Robert. I'm gonna like seeing Raziel. In a few more months, I'll take him to spend a year in the Vale with me. I just hope Robert's brother can keep everything in order while I'm there. He thought about how he hasn't seen the Vale in some time. I hope Yohn is taking good care of Robyn for me. I wish I could be more present in his life but I my duties just take too much of my time, especially with someone as uninterested as Robert.
Jon look at the sun for a bit. It was going to get dark soon. Maybe I can make it for lost time, and maybe Raziel and him can be friends. He thought hopefully. My grand nephew will turn out well, like all of Yohn's sons. I'm just sad that Elbert never got to see his son. He sadly thought about his beloved nephew that died alongside Brandon Stark in King's landing. He had got married a month before with one of Yohn Royce's daughters, who died giving birth to a boy that he named Robyn Arryn. Jon made Robyn his heir after the rebellion.
Jon then thought about a certain moment during the start of the Rebellion. I wonder what it would have been like if I did marry Hoster Tully's second daughter, if she didn't die giving birth to that child that she was carrying when I met her. He wondered.
"Jon, it's getting late. We better find a place to stay for the night." He heard Robert telling him.
"Yes, I'm a little tired." Jon replied. "We might get there tomorrow if we leave early."
