Halloween
"The girl is bloody stuck up I asked her to help with my homework and left after agreeing to help, the stuck up cow"
Hearing Potter laughing and agreeing I scoff shoving past them continuing on my way "I think she heard".
Rolling my eyes I slip into the perfects bathroom trying to get my temper under control taking deep breaths.
Sometime later
Struggling to get my anger under control enough to head out, I pace the floor muttering to myself till I feel a foot step causing the ground to vibrate.
Frowning I curl my nose looking up seeing a troll step in looking at me "I really hate this bathroom" I mutter.
The troll roars raising it's club "of course, why not" I groan grabbing my wand while ducking his swing.
With a quick flick I raise my brow seeing it swaying bond up before I get the club to float and come down on his head snapping in half.
It stumbles before falling backwards, walking out I dust my robes frowning "I never had to deal with this kind of drama at Beauxbatons" I mutter softly.
Hearing people coming I glance up seeing the Dumbledore and the professors "the fact that under your command Hogwarts has more trouble then with any Headmaster is disgusting, have that Troll returned to the mountains before he wakes or causes the entire castle to smell" I say looking at Dumbledore before walking away.
"All students were told to return to their room yet you did not" he says glaring at me.
"I have been in there since last class so I did not hear anything about returning to our room" I respond looking at him.
Turning again I walk off dusting myself off "that smell is never coming out of these clothes" I huff glaring at my house mates disgusted looks before looking and Penelope Clearwater "you need to bathe" she whispers to me.
"I am aware of this but I learned a troll was in the school by it attacking me in the bathroom" I snark before walking to my room.
Stepping in I change going to my personal bathroom to get clean then get in bed.
Waiting till after curfew I walk out hearing someone following me.
Heading outside I make my way near Black lake stopping at the large rock Helga placed over where I was found.
Touching it I sigh at the larger hand prints around two small ones before reading the inscription under them "Ravenclaw mind, Gryffindor heart, Hufflepuff loyalty, and Slytherin ambition Cherished by four".
Hearing Fawkes sing I look up seeing him leading a Black Phoenix that's still learning to be confident in flight.
Holding my arms out Fawkes lands gracefully on one while the second misses and slams into me.
Holding her with my free arm a moment she finally moves to my arm clutching it tightly, looking at Fawkes I smile at him "thank you for leading her home" I whisper before he leaves.
Bring the other closer I stoke her head keep her close to my body "calm yourself, you're safe with me" I whisper heading back to my room.
Stepping in I frown seeing Penelope rush up checking me "what happened are you okay?" she asks checking me over before frowning finally seeing the Phoenix.
"Is that?" She whispers softly.
Nodding I smile looking at the bird "a Black Phoenix, Fawkes brought her and she refused to leave my arm, I'll need to get a familiar test to see but if not I doubt anyone will try to force her to leave" I answer.
Moving to my room I let her perch on my bed, she puffs up in displeasure "I am sorry about the sudden change but that's the life of a Phoenix, our first birth is sudden and the last we are prepared for but not the next life".
Sitting down I stroke her head "we met here at Hogwarts, I was a professor but we were both killed I was reborn and had to leave quickly, I believed you to have left the school so learning you stayed here waiting for me was concerning I am sorry you waited so long".
Seeing her eyes open blinking slowly at me I smile softly "the first of our kind was born on these grounds she had a great destiny that was never reached because she was killed by a rival clan and burned, Fate stepped in refusing to let her die she was pulled into the time stream she soaked in the sands making it our natural home".
Taking a breath I lay down on my back looking at her "she hatched and returned being raised by fate till old enough to care for herself, eventually she found someone who's life ended never completing their destiny, she pulled him into our home and trusted fate again to decide what he was meant for, they are mated and went on to have two children and rebirth many who died cruelly".
Smiling I chuckle "I was born from the two first Phoenix and for years I traveled in time fixing time anomalies and bringing souls before fate to decide their destiny, after a Phoenix has lived long enough we gain a human form as a gift from fate because most never find their mates to allow us a chance to find each other".
"Over time a Phoenix would give into human urges from this came Wizards and Witches, the sands that made us became their magic cores they no longer remember their start of magic, but look at us with great respect this is because while they no longer remember their magic does, it recognizes what we are to it"
"I am old enough I no longer feel like I need to help every soul, I've grown tired of it and become slightly jaded of humans, but I watched a strange girl with a passion for knowledge, taunted by everyone bullied in her house and rejected by her family, I seen the magic in her she was meant to be great and would have done something amazing" I whisper reaching up to stroke her chest.
"I failed to help you and left you alone unknowingly, but to return finding you distressed waiting for me was heartbreaking, I can't change it because the event became a fixed point but I could make it up to you, it's been many years since I brought someone to fate, you are no longer human and will never be again when you have lived long enough you will gain a human form but will never truly be one, for now know you are my child I raised you from the day you hatched and you return to me now" I add seeing her fall asleep.
Next morning
Waking up I chuckle feeling her pressed against my side with her head tucked under her wing sleeping, getting up I open the window and leave the room after telling Dracaena good morning.
Walking down the hall I sigh seeing Penelope join me "where's your friend?" she asks softly.
"The room with the window open in case she wants to leave" I say before sitting down.
Eating breakfast I look up at the owls delivering mail, seeing a large black shadow coming that suddenly lands before me and starts eating some of my food.
"Figures you would make a scene alerting everyone about you" I mutter feeling her nuzzles my cheek singing happily.
"Eternal calm yourself" I add seeing her start attacking my food like she's starving while I quickly grab some.
