Location: Jujutsu Academy

Both two strike teams where standing outside the Academy with Gojo and Qrow at their side. It was still early in the morning yet the sound of silence was broken by the revving of an engine.

The two groups looked on as a motorcycle pulled up towards the entrance and a figure stepped of it. As the figure stepped off and removed their helmet, everyone looked in awe.

The woman in question was simply put gorgeous. A slender physique accompanied with a shining array of blonde hair, athletic and fashionable in her leather jacket. Yang and Maki looked at her for quite a while and even Blake had to admit by all accounts this woman was beautiful.

"Everyone this is Yuki Tsukumo, she will accompany Team Maki on her assignment" Gojo stated in a cold tone.

The woman threw her head back and placed her hands on her hips "really Gojo you couldn't give me a more flashier introduction" she said in a slightly mocking tone.

"I have no time for long introductions Yuki I have things to do. These three are your responsibility now good luck" he said pushing Blake and Yang forward before he turned around and left, leaving Qrow grumbling.

Yuki with a bright smile walked up towards everyone and shook their hand and introduced herself politely. Her smile seeming infectious as it even got the stoic Qrow to force a chuckle as she approached him.

"He's still searching for him?" she asked him.

Qrow sighed "it's an obsession at this point Yuki. I'm trying to make him see reason but nothing seems to be working."

Yuki nodded solemnly and shook her head afterwards "he's always been a stubborn guy but this…this is getting out of hand."

"I know but we can't really stop him. This only ends when he finds him."

The two nodded solemnly and stood in silence for a bit. Yuki eventually turned around, her eyes focused on Maki, Yang and Blake "alright so you are the team I'm working with, I can see some real star power here."

She eyed every single of her new charges with curious intensity, first pointing at Maki "I already know what the great Maki Zenin can do!" then she turned to Yang "I hear you let your fists do the talking and believe me we're gonna need that" and finally to Blake "and you are speedy and stealthy, exactly what we need…but…"

The sudden off trail remark made Blake ask "what is it?"

"Well…" Yuki said with a reassuring smile before she walked off towards her motorcycle and opened one of the travel bags on its side, pulling out what seemed to be a black hoodie.

She returned to her charges and handed the hoodie over to Blake before saying.

"You will need to wear that and cover your head…" Yuki smiled brightly.

"Uhm…" Blake mumbled as she unfolded the hoodie, it was just an ordinary black hoodie with no special markings or anything "why do I need to wear it…"

"Just trust me, you're gonna thank me later hotshot" Yuki said as she winked and turned to the others "alright say your goodbyes we leave in five minutes."

And so they did. Yang and Ruby embraced, as did Weiss and Blake, all hugging each other out as they went on their separate journeys. Meanwhile Yuki stood next to Qrow as she watched on and saw the beautiful bonding moment.

"You will keep them safe won't you?" Qrow whispered to Yuki.

Yuki smiled reassuringly "I will. But something tells me these girls are perfectly capable of handling themselves."

"They are. But still you don't know what could happen, we don't even know what the inventor of that device is like."

"I've met them," Yuki told "let's just say there's a reason I gave Blake that hoodie. We don't want him to recognize her."

"Why? Do they have a bone to pick with another version of her?" Qrow asked curiously.

Yuki shrugged "in a manner of speaking yes…"

She then stepped forward and clapped her hands to get everybody's attention "alright star team follow me" she said. Out of her pocket she pulled a portal device and pressed it, opening a portal right before her. Maki, Yang and Blake, now wearing the hoodie and concealing her entire head, stood behind her. Yuki turned back to Qrow and winked at him "see you later hotshot."

And with that they stepped into the portal and disappeared to a different world beyond.

In the forest:

The forest was quiet, eerily so, it had been that way since the night before. Even in the early morning light there seemed to be a gloomy, almost lifeless atmosphere about the place.

A cloaked figure was sitting against a tree reading a book, their face hidden aside from their green eyes shifting over the pages of the book.

"Magnificent…" the figure uttered, tapping their fingers against the trunk of the tree.

"Simply marvelous this writing, so much knowledge…" the figure stood up from the tree and closed the book.

"I must know more…like the one who wrote this. I must know more about..."

The figure dropped the book down on the ground and walked off into the forest, disappearing behind the trees, leaving the book behind on the forest ground, its cover and title right upward. It read.

Wolves of the Calla by Stephen King.

A/N: Oh boy haven't worked on this series in a while. Not for lack of inspiration but I'm just overwhelmed with the amount of stories I have to write to keep everyone entertained and it becomes a bit much for me, not gonna lie. Thank you all for your patience and I promise you this is going somewhere, whether that is something interesting I leave up to you to decide.
