Ideas, plot bunnys that won't let go, possible future stories. feel free to pick up the stories if you like them.

OK so this is something that has been rattling around in my head for a while, just begging to get out. Its an answer to Whitetigerwolfs Not Entirely Harry challenge, rules below:

Requirements:

- Harry (or FemHarry if you go that route), is the reincarnated character of some other fandom

- The character Harry is reincarnated from CANNOT be a minor passed over character or an Original Character (though admittedly if you go the video game route you have many options when it comes to certain main characters such as Revan, Commander Sheppard, the Dovakin, etc.). They must be a main, supporting, or guest character that is actually fleshed out a bit in media.

- Harry must either be born with the memories of this past life, or gain them after some type of magical mishap or traumatic experience (Ex. The Basalisk in second year)

- Harry must have access to all memories, knowledge, and abilities his past life possessed. (this means if Harry used to be Revan, using him as an example since that's who spawned the idea, Harry has knowledge of the force, tactics, and how to build a lightsaber, though he may or may not have the materials)

-The world Harry comes from must be relatively cannon. (Basically this means that, using Anakin Skywalker as an example, Anakin must still have become Darth Vader and redeemed himself at the end of his life by killing Sidious. Anakin must still have loved Padme, still had Luke and Leia, etc... but the minor details, or details from other sources, such as Ahsoka being his apprentice in the Clone Wars with no mention in the movies, are up to you the author to decide, assuming you post in the Star Wars (Movies)/Harry Potter section and not the Star Wars:The Clone Wars/Harry Potter section, in which case you would have to use Ahsoka.)

- (Since I don't read M/M stories, I really didn't want to put in this requirement, but it fits with the challenge so...) Harry's romantic orientation must be determined by his past life. If he's Anakin, he must like girls, even if you have Anakin reborn as FemHarry. Vice versa with Padme being reincarnated as Harry liking boys, even if she's reincarnated as regular male Harry. (Though it is my hope that, based off of my recommendations below this requirement is mute) And again, obviously some characters have more leeway such as certain Video Game characters or characters that don't really have a romantic connection in their previous world. And even this requirement is mute as one of those minor details could be that Anakin was bisexual and simply loved Padme more than Obi-Wan...Please let that thought never pass through my head again.

Recommended:

- Harry's past life's Romatic interest, if they have one, somehow reincarnated as well. (Example: Harry is Revan reincarnated and Hermione is Bastilla. Again, that is just a general example)

- FemHarry, especially if her past life is female

- The past life being reincarnated for either a reward or a shot at redemption

The crossover is Sunrider and the characters are the crew of the Sunrider reincarnated, so expect some OOC moments when I combine the two characters personalities. It isnt really meant to be taken seriously, so enjoy!

Sunrider: The Lightning Scar

"CAPTAIN!"

BOOM!

"ASAGA, NO!"

"Calm down Shields, her escape pod is safe. Focus on the battle."

I took a deep breath and turned my attention back to the tactical display, trying desperately not to look at the lifesigns of the Ryder pilots. What should I do? I couldn't fire the Vanguard Cannon yet, Blackjack had just been destroyed, the Phoenix was badly damaged, the Liberty and Paladin were both out of range and the Seraphims Awakening had just worn off, leaving it defenceless. Was this it? Was this the end?

"Captain!"

The XO's yell drew his attention to the edge of the map where another four PACT missile frigates had just warped in and opened fire.

KABOOOOOOOM!

… … …

BAD ENDING, YOU HAVE BEEN DEFEATED!

Harry Potter leaned back in his seat with a groan, snapping his brand new laptop shut so he didn't have to look at the Game Over screen of his newest interest, Sunrider: The Mask of Arcadius. During his time in Diagon Alley after leaving his relatives, he had discovered a small shop run by a Muggleborn that sold enchanted electronic devices that ran on magic and had excellent Wifi connection no matter where it was taken. After spending a week trawling the internet and getting hooked on Youtube, Anime and games, he had discovered Steam and blown a lot of money on various games that he'd seen Dudley playing. Games like Skyrim, Fallout, Dishonoured, Skullgirls and more, he tried whatever attracted his interest. Its not like he was hurting for cash and splurging on something he wanted was a nice change. Then, through the magic of recommendations, he had discovered his favorite game yet. Sunrider was an amazing experience, with interesting characters, a gripping narrative and goo… enter… alright so the combat segments weren't great, but they were still interesting enough to hold his attention and were short enough that they didn't start to grate.

However, what really drew his interest was how similar some of the characters were to people he knew, namely the First Officer on the Sunrider, Ave Crescentia, who reminded him of Hermione with her stern, no nonsense attitude, adherence to the rules and how she kept the hero, Kayto Shields on the straight and narrow.

Harry let out a sigh and sat back up straight, opening his computer to try the mission again, deliberately ignoring the other occupants of the Leaky Cauldron's main floor as they kept shooting him looks of curiosity and/or disapproval at his use of the Muggle hardware. He was just finishing positioning his troops for the battle when the door to the pub opened, letting in a blast of street noise and a pair of people in Muggle clothes.

One of the people was Harrys best friend, Hermione Granger, a girl with bushy, brown hair, although it looked like it had calmed down some, sharp brown eyes that matched her mind and tongue perfectly. When Harry first met the girl, she had been shy and meek from past bullying, but two years of strong friendship between Harry and Hermione had done wonders for both kids.

The man with her was clearly her father, sharing her hair and eye colour, although looking at him it was a wonder that anyone dared to pick on Hermione. The guy was massive, both in height and build, and carried himself with the confidence of a career soldier, helped along by his off duty fatigues and bulky pistol strapped to his belt. Even the Wizards in the pub who would normally scoff at any Muggle parents who entered the establishment made sure to give the man a VERY wide berth.

The two Grangers exchanged quick farewells, before Mr. Granger left and Hermione turned to look around the room. It didn't take long for her to spot Harry who was already looking ready to tear his hair out in frustration. The bookworm made her way over and bent down behind Harry to see what he was doing.

"This mission has got to be bugged," muttered Harry, not noticing her presence, "Theres no way they intended those missile frigates to spawn on the eighth turn."

"Having trouble?" asked Hermione, making Harry jump.

"Jeeze, don't scare me like that!" said Harry, calming his heartbeat.

"Sorry," said Hermione, "What are you doing? And where did you get a laptop that works?"

"Theres a shop in the alley that sells modified technology that runs on magic," said Harry, "As for what I'm doing, well, I'm discovering the frustration of hard missions."

"Is that even legal?" asked Hermione.

"So long as the enchantment doesn't change the items function its perfectly legal," replied Harry, shutting his computer, "I checked."

"Fair enough," said Hermione, "So, what have you been up to this summer?"

The two friends spent the rest of the morning enjoying one another's company.

A few days later saw Harry, Hermione and the Weasley family, who had joined them in at the Leaky Cauldron a few days after Hermione arrived, arriving at Kings Cross to catch the train to Hogwarts, arriving 20 minutes early, thanks to cars provided by the Ministry. The large group entered the station and began to make their way to Platform Nine and Ten where the entrance to the Magical Platform 9 3/4 was located. As they made their way onto Platform Ten, a small blur suddenly shot around the corner, heading straight for Harry. The adults, who had been jumpy all day due to the Sirius Black issue, reacted, their hands going to their wands, only to relax as the blur stopped, revealing it to be a small, brown and white spaniel who was now sat at Harrys feet, his tongue hanging out of his mouth.

"Hey there little guy, where did you come from?" asked the green eyed boy, kneeling down.

The dog barked and sniffed at Harrys fingers as he reached out to pet the little dog.

"Come on Harry," said Mrs Weasley, bustling up to Harry and trying to shoo the dog away, "We need to get to the platform."

The little dog wined at the Weasley matriarchs tone.

"We've got plenty of time," said Harry.

"But…"

Harry ignored Mrs Weasleys protest and picked the dog up.

"Don't worry Mrs Weasley, I won't be long," he said in a tone that left no room for argument, "I'm just going to find this little guys owner."

He walked off, leaving a surprised looking Molly staring after him.

The green eyed Wizard headed in the direction the dog had come from, secretly glad that he'd found an excuse to ditch the Weasleys for a bit. While he was grateful to the family for taking him in last year and welcoming him as one of their own, Mrs Weasleys constant smothering quickly got on his nerves, especially this past summer with Black on the loose. It didn't really help that she had made it quite clear that she didn't approve of his newfound past times, saying that they were 'unsuitable' and trying to confiscate his laptop. That did not go over very well and it was only Mr Weasleys intervention that stopped Harry from giving Molly a peace of his mind.

To make matters worse, Ron was beginning to get very annoying. Harry had known since very early on that Ron was a bad influence on him, what with his chronic laziness and constant distractions, but his desire for friends had stopped him from breaking off their friendship. However, after getting his results back from his teachers the previous year, he had come to the realization that if he wanted to excel, he needed to do something about Rons distractions. The Red-heads reaction to Harrys new interest in 'Muggle waists of time' only solidified this idea.

Just then, Harry was broken out of his thoughts by a voice.

"There you are Admiral!"

The little dog barked happily and hopped out of Harrys arms, trotting over to the owner of the voice, who bent down and picked the dog up, giggling as he licked her face. The girl looked about 11 and had pure white hair tied in two bunches with cream and pale pink ribbons and green eyes. She was wearing a white blouse, a blue shirt, a tan jacket and a scarf that was the same colours as her ribbons. There was also something about the girl that Harry found very familiar, like a person he'd met before but couldn't remember. Maybe it was the eyes, but Harry could have sworn he was looking at a younger version of his mother from the pictures in the album Hagrid had given him in his first year.

"Thank you for finding my dog," said the girl, "I'm Maray Shields and this is Fleet Admiral."

"Arf!"

"I'm Harry Potter, its nice to meet you," said Harry.

"Harry Potter?" asked the girl, her eyes widening and making Harrys stomach sink as they darted to his forehead, "You mean...that Harry Potter?"

Harry sighed. Great, thats all he needed, another fangirl.

"Yes, that Harry Potter," he said reluctantly.

"Hmm, I thought you'd be taller," said Maray.

Harry blinked. That he hadn't been expecting.

"I mean, I know those books are obviously fiction, but still," continued the girl.

"Err," said Harry, not sure what to make of someone who didn't recognize him and immediately start fangirling out.

"Hey, are you OK?" asked Maray, "You look a little off."

"Oh, I'm fine," said Harry, "So, your starting at Hogwarts this year?"

"Yep," said Maray, "We should probably get to the Platform. I kinda ran after Admiral without telling Mom, so shes probably worried sick."

The two children headed back to the barrier that server as the entrance to Platform 9 ¾, answering Marays questions about Hogwarts and what to expect as they went. When they reached the Barrier, it was to find a worried looking woman with long, white hair, green eyes. She was rather beautiful, with flawless skin and curves in all the right places. At the sight of Maray and Harry approaching, the woman sprinted over and grabbed the white haired girl in a tight hug.

"Oh their you are, don't ever scare me like that again!" said the woman, relief clear in her tone.

"Gah, get off Mom!" yelled Maray, trying to get out of her mothers grip, "I'm fine, I just went to find Admiral is all!"

"Honestly, what am I going to with you?" asked the woman fondly, before turning to Harry, "And who is this?"

Harry stared into the womans eyes, not sure what to make of the fact that her eyes were the exact same shade as his, or the fact that this woman felt so familiar, even more so than Maray.

"This is Harry," said Maray, "He found Admiral for me."

"Well Harry, its nice to meet you," said the woman, "My name is Lily Shields."

"Nice to meet you Mrs Shields," said Harry.

"Ms, I'm not married," corrected Lily, "Come on, we'd better get going or you'll miss the train."

The three quickly passed through the barrier, where Harry was immediately assaulted by a pack of red-heads.

"Their you are Harry!" gasped Mrs Weasley, "I thought you were going to miss the train!"

"Calm down Molly, hes here and hes fine," said Mr Weasley, "Harry, could I have a quick word?"

"Um, sure," said Harry.

He followed Mr Weasley behind a nearby pillar where the older Wizard gave him a warning not to go looking for Black (something that seemed rather obvious to Harry, but whatever). After assuring Mr Weasley that he wouldn't go after Black, Harry met back up with his friends to board the train.

"What was that all about?" asked Ron.

"Nothing, just warning me to be careful," said Harry, not really wanting to discuss the issue with Black right now, "Come on, lets go find somewhere to sit."

"Go away, Ginny," said Ron.

"Oh, that's nice," said Ginny huffily, stalking off.

Harry, Ron, and Hermione set off down the corridor, looking for an empty compartment, eventually finding one with only one occupant near the end of the train.

"How about this one?" asked Harry.

Ron shrugged and Hermione nodded, so Harry opened the door and stuck his head in.

"Hey, mind if we join you?"

The girl looked up, revealing a perfectly blank face, framed by silver locks and light brown eyes.

"Hmm…" she said, inclining her head slightly.

Harry nodded and lead his friends inside, storing their luggage in the racks and taking their seats.

"Hello, I'm Hermione Granger," said Hermione, introducing herself to the girl, "This is Ron Weasley and Harry Potter."

The girl turned to stare at Harry, making the boy shift uneasily.

"Um, can I ask what your name is?" he asked after a moment.

"...Sola," said the girl in a quiet voice, before falling silent again, not taking her eyes of him.

Harry cleared his throat uncomfortably. Their was something extremely...off about this odd girl. Fortunately, a distraction arrived as the door opened, revealing two girls Harry recognized as his yearmates, Fay Dunbar of Gryffindor and Su Li of Ravenclaw.

Fay was considered by many to be the perfect Gryffindor, being brash, loud and prone to jump into situations without thinking. She was also crass, rude and prone to making inappropriate comments and outright innuendos, as well as a disregard for work and authority that caused the teachers, especially Mcgonagall, no end of headaches. She had light red hair she wore in twin bunches and leaf green eyes.

Su on the other hand was nearly the complete opposite of Fay, which made it extremely hard to believe that the two were best friends. She was highly intelligent, even more so than Hermione, and had a knack for inventing new and innovative technologies with paper clips and duct tape. She was shy and soft spoken and disliked being the center of attention, which she frequently was due to her intellect and talent. She had petite build and a slender frame, with black hair in a bob cut and wore a white and red ribbon that shot sparks when she was startled and blue eyes.

"Hey, do you guys mind if we join you?" asked Fay, "That asshole Malfoy just kicked us out of our compartment."

"Sure, have a seat," said Harry, cutting across Ron before he could say anything rude.

"Thanks, hey do you wanna play Exploding Snap?" said Fay, getting a deck of cards out of her pocket.

Hermione gave a disapproving sniff as Ron and Harry nodded eagerly, sitting on the floor so they had enough room to play, before turning to Su.

"Did you have a good summer Su?" she asked.

The ribbon wearing girl nodded.

"Oh, yes I did," she said, "Mummy and Daddy took us on a tour of their labs. It was amazing!"

"Sounds like fun," said Hermione, before a loud bang came from the others in the card game.

The train continued to puff merrily across Britain towards Scotland, allowing the group of students plenty of time to chat. Although Harry knew Fay and Su by reputation and the fact that one shared a tower with him, he had never actually got to know them, something that he was really regretting. Both girls were friendly, even if Fay had a really bat potty mouth on her at times. Then there was Sola. Harry had no idea what to make of the odd girl. Since the start of the journey, she had sat quietly in the corner, watching everyone else interacting, only saying one or two words whenever someone spoke to her. Just about the only things he'd learnt about her was that she was in the year below him and was in Hufflepuff.

At mid day, the trolley lady came around.

"Anything off the trolley dears?" she asked.

"No thanks," said Fay.

"W-we're good," said Su, holding up a large lunch box.

"...No thank you," said Sola, holding up a wrapped lunch box.

"Alright, well, I'll be up by the driver if you change your mind," said the woman as she handed Ron his purchasers.

"Why didn't you get something Harry?" asked the red-head.

"I bought some lunch before we left," said Harry, pulling a chicken sandwich and a bag of crisps out of his bag.

Ron eyed the Muggle food with trepidation but didn't say anything, instead shaking his head and muttering something under his breath.

The Hogwarts Express moved steadily north and the scenery outside the window became wilder and darker while the clouds overhead thickened and began to drop their contents on the train, turning the windows a solid, shimmering gray, which gradually darkened until lanterns flickered into life all along the corridors and over the luggage racks. The train rattled, the rain hammered, the wind roared, but it was ignored by the children in the compartment as they killed time with boardgames and Harrys laptop with the magic of the internet.

"We must be nearly there," said Ron, leaning forward to look at the now completely black window.

The words had hardly left him when the train started to slow

"Great, I'm starving!" said Fay, "I can't wait for the feast!"

"We can't be there yet," said Hermione, checking her watch.

The train was getting slower and slower. As the noise of the pistons fell away, the wind and rain sounded louder than ever against the window. Harry, who was nearest the door, got up to look into the corridor. All along the carriage, heads were sticking curiously out of the owners compartment.

The train came to a stop with a jolt, and distant thuds and bangs told them that luggage had fallen out of the racks. Then, without warning, all the lamps went out and they were plunged into total darkness.

"That can't be good," said Fay.

"What's going on?" said Ron's voice from behind Harry.

"Ouch!" gasped Hermione. "Ron, that was my foot!"

Harry felt his way back to his seat.

"D'you think we've broken down?" asked Fay.

"N-no, thats not possible," said Sus voice, "The Express is serviced every year.

There was a squeaking sound, and Harry saw the dim black outline of Ron, wiping a patch clean on the window and peering out.

"There's something moving out there," Ron said. "I think people are coming aboard. . . ."

The compartment door suddenly opened and someone fell painfully over Harry's legs.

"Sorry — d'you know what's going on? — Ouch — sorry —"

"Hullo, Neville," said Harry, feeling around in the dark and pulling Neville up by his cloak.

"Harry? Is that you? What's happening?"

"No idea — sit down —"

There was a loud hissing and a yelp of pain; Neville had tried to sit on Crookshanks, Hermiones cat.

"I'm going to go and ask the driver what's going on," came Hermione's voice.

Harry felt her pass him, heard the door slide open again, and then a thud and two loud squeals of pain and a bark of distress.

"Maray, is that you?" he asked, feeling around .

"Harry? Whats going on?" came the little girls frightened voice.

"...Here they are."

SNAP!

The compartment was suddenly filled with a sickly green light coming from the glow stick in Solas hand, revealing the faces of the occupants of the compartment, including Neville, who was nursing a nasty looking scratch on his cheek, and Maray, who was holding Fleet Admiral in her arms and looking scared. At the sight of the look on the firsties face, Harry felt a surge of protectiveness rise up in his chest and he stood, guiding Maray back to sit next to him, wrapping an arm around her shoulders. The white haired girl immediately leaned into the embrace, seeking comfort in her friend.

"Hermione, weren't you going to go talk to the driver?" asked Harry.

"Oh, right," said Hermione, turning to the door.

But the door slid slowly open before Hermione could reach it. Standing in the doorway, illuminated by the sickly glow of Solas glowstick, was a cloaked figure that towered to the ceiling, its face completely hidden beneath its hood. Harry's eyes darted downward, and what he saw made his stomach contract. There was a hand protruding from the cloak and it was glistening, grayish, slimy-looking, and scabbed, like something dead that had decayed in water. It was visible only for a split second as though the creature beneath the cloak sensed Harry's gaze, the hand was suddenly withdrawn into the folds of its black cloak.

And then the thing beneath the hood, whatever it was, drew a long, slow, rattling breath, as though it were trying to suck something more than air from its surroundings. An intense cold swept over them all and Harry felt his own breath catch in his chest. The cold went deeper than his skin. It was inside his chest, inside his very heart.

Harry's eyes rolled up into his head. He couldn't see. He was drowning in cold. There was a rushing in his ears as though of water. He was being dragged downward, the roaring growing louder as visions began to flash in front of his eyes.

He saw his home burn, hundreds of people dead in an instant.

He saw his ship take a glancing hit, damaging it badly.

He saw one of his friends taken by their enemies as he watched, helpless to help.

He saw his oldest friend on a hospital bed, covered in blood and wounds.

He saw his friends die in battle one by one, their Ryders disintegrating under sustained fire.

He saw the missile coming straight for him.

He saw a cloaked figure shooting a blast of green light at his mother, causing her to drop like a cut puppet.

He saw the monster turn its wand on him.

Then, a new sensation hit him, centred around his forehead. It felt like someone had just attached a freezing cold vacuum cleaner set on the highest setting to him and was now trying to suck something out of his scar. He screamed, unable to hold the sound in against the icy burn.

Then, suddenly, the sensation vanished and warmth returned, allowing him to relax and slip into welcoming darkness.

And I'll end it their. Anyone who knows Sunrider can probably guess who's who and just about everyone will probably be able to guess who Maray and her mother are. For those who are confused, lets just say that Lilys protection was stronger than Dumbledore thought, but no one can take a direct hit from the AK without some damage. Like to memory for example.

If your wondering why Sola dosnt have a different name its because shes Sola. Like Luna, there can only be one.

Now thats done with, please leave me a review!
