Dis Lexics vault of Secrets

Ideas, plot bunnys that won't let go, possible future stories. feel free to pick up the stories if you like them.

And we're back for another entry dredged up from the depths of my mind. It was inspired by a couple of places, mainly DZ2's promt 10 and Whitetigerwolfs Not entirely Harry challenge, rules for both below:

Fragments of a former time

Prompt: The Dementors' influence didn't just remind Harry of his parents deaths; they also brought back memories of a past life

Rules: NO Harry-is-Founder stories; Harry must somehow be able to acquire the knowledge/powers of his past life; All affinities are welcome; Throughout the story, flashbacks show the 'past life's' POV and what happened to them;

And

NOT ENTIRELY HARRY CHALLENGE

So this idea came about as I was playing Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (or perhaps I should say replaying. When I started the game up it said copyright 2003. Man does time fly...still my favorite game however) and the thought entered my head, what if Harry was Revan reincarnated. Then I thought, what if he was Canderous reincarnated. Then my mind drifted to a HP/Rainbow Six story I cannot remember the name of where a character from the game is placed into (I think) 14 year old Harry's body, and to Heart of the Jungle by robert32514 (a continuation of one of my own stories that I highly recommend. Seriously, go check out that and Robert's other stories, they're pretty awesome), which I had just read the updated chapter of before starting the game...

From there my mind went, why limit it?

Thus this challenge.

Requirements:

- Harry (or FemHarry if you go that route), is the reincarnated character of some other fandom

- The character Harry is reincarnated from CANNOT be a minor passed over character or an Original Character (though admittedly if you go the video game route you have many options when it comes to certain main characters such as Revan, Commander Sheppard, the Dovakin, etc.). They must be a main, supporting, or guest character that is actually fleshed out a bit in media.

- Harry must either be born with the memories of this past life, or gain them after some type of magical mishap or traumatic experience (Ex. The Basalisk in second year)

- Harry must have access to all memories, knowledge, and abilities his past life possessed. (this means if Harry used to be Revan, using him as an example since that's who spawned the idea, Harry has knowledge of the force, tactics, and how to build a lightsaber, though he may or may not have the materials)

-The world Harry comes from must be relatively cannon. (Basically this means that, using Anakin Skywalker as an example, Anakin must still have become Darth Vader and redeemed himself at the end of his life by killing Sidious. Anakin must still have loved Padme, still had Luke and Leia, etc... but the minor details, or details from other sources, such as Ahsoka being his apprentice in the Clone Wars with no mention in the movies, are up to you the author to decide, assuming you post in the Star Wars (Movies)/Harry Potter section and not the Star Wars:The Clone Wars/Harry Potter section, in which case you would have to use Ahsoka.)

- (Since I don't read M/M stories, I really didn't want to put in this requirement, but it fits with the challenge so...) Harry's romantic orientation must be determined by his past life. If he's Anakin, he must like girls, even if you have Anakin reborn as FemHarry. Vice versa with Padme being reincarnated as Harry liking boys, even if she's reincarnated as regular male Harry. (Though it is my hope that, based off of my recommendations below this requirement is mute) And again, obviously some characters have more leeway such as certain Video Game characters or characters that don't really have a romantic connection in their previous world. And even this requirement is mute as one of those minor details could be that Anakin was bisexual and simply loved Padme more than Obi-Wan...Please let that thought never pass through my head again.

Recommended:

- Harry's past life's Romatic interest, if they have one, somehow reincarnated as well. (Example: Harry is Revan reincarnated and Hermione is Bastilla. Again, that is just a general example)

- FemHarry, especially if her past life is female

- The past life being reincarnated for either a reward or a shot at redemption

The reincarnated characters in this case are the Seven Deadly Sins from Seven Deadly Sins, with Harry as Meliodas. Enjoy!

The Sins of Hogwarts

Long ago, there existed an order of powerful warriors known as the Holy Knights. These powerful warriors warriors wielded powerful magics and were descended from an order that fought alongside the Goddess, Fairy and Giant races to defeat and seal away the Demons. After centuries past, the memories of the Holy War passed from the public conscious until it was nearly forgotten, remembered only in stories. In this time, there existed an Order of Knights that were feared and respected above all others. While greatly feared for supposedly betraying the Kingdom, they fought back against the corrupt Holy Knights and returned Demons in a second Holy War, eventually defeating and resealing the monsters at the cost of their lives. However, this is not the end of the Knights stories for their Souls fell through the Multiverse and eventually found new homes in seven children who would grow into powerful witches and wizards in their own rights. Beware servants of the Darkness, for the Seven Deadly Sins have arrived.

Harry struggled against the ropes that bound him tightly to the Gravestone as Voldemort spoke to his followers, occasionally stopping to inflict the Cruciatus curse on one or another, something that sent a lance of pain through Harrys scar every time. Eventually, the twisted man turned his attention to Harry.

"Now, I'm sure you are all wondering how it is I was able to return, hmm?" said Voldemort. "And it begins - and ends – with my young friend here."

He walked lazily over to stand next to Harry, so that the eyes of every Death Eater in the circle were locked upon the two of them.

"You know, of course, that they have called this boy my downfall?" Voldemort said softly, his red eyes upon Harry, whose scar began to burn so fiercely that he almost screamed in agony, "You all know that on the night I lost my powers and my body, I tried to kill him. His Mudblood bitch of mother died in the attempt to save him and unwittingly provided him with a protection I admit I had not foreseen. I could not touch the boy."

Voldemort raised one of his long white fingers and put it very close to Harry's cheek.

"The Mudblood left upon him the traces other sacrifice. This is old magic, I should have remembered it and I was foolish to overlook it. But no matter, I can touch him now." Harry felt the cold tip of the long white finger touch him, and thought his head would burst with the pain. Voldemort laughed softly in his ear, then took the finger away and continued addressing the Death Eaters, telling them all about his experience as a bodiless wrath and pointing blame at them for not realising he was alive and finding him, all the while making insulting references to the Potters and their sacrifice. Harry hung against the ropes that bound him to the stone, listening to the twisted creature belittle his parents sacrifice.

"Shut up," he hissed as the Death Eaters laughed at something Voldemort had just said.

"What was that Harry?" purred Voldemort.

"I said shut the hell up," growled Harry, lifting his head and glearing at Voldemort.

"Oh, it looks like Harry still has some fight in him," mocked Voldemort, "Come on then Harry, lets see what you can do. Untie him Wormtail and give him back his wand!"

The Rat like man hurried to obey, before scuttling back into the circle of Death Eaters as Harry glared at Voldemort with eyes full of hatred and anger.

"You have been taught how to duel Harry Potter?" said Voldemort softly, his red eyes glinting through the darkness, "First, we bow to each other.."

Voldemort gave a mocking bow, keeping his snakelike face upturned to Harry so the boy could see his twisted grin.

"Come, the niceties must be observed, Dumbledore would like you to show manners. Come on, bow to death, Harry."

Harry did not bow. He would not bow to this abomination, not now, not ever.

"I said, bow," Voldemort said, raising his wand.

Harry felt a pressure on his spine as though a huge, invisible hand was pressing into his back and attempting to force it to bend. Harry tightened his spine and refused to allow his back to bend even a few inches. Voldemorts smile slipped slightly at Harrys apparent lack of reaction, but straightened up.

"Very well, if you will not observe the niceties, we will begin," said Voldemort softly, "And now you face me, like a man, straight-backed and proud, so unlike your Father who coward before me."

Harrys hands clenched tighter at the dig at his Father that he knew for a fact to be untrue, thanks to the Dementors last year.

"And now - we duel." Voldemort raised his wand, and before Harry could do anything to defend himself, before he could even move, he had been hit again by the Cruciatus Curse.

The pain was so intense, so all consuming, that he no longer knew where he was. White-hot knives were piercing every inch of his skin, his head was surely going to burst with pain, he was screaming more loudly than he'd ever screamed in his life. Deep within Harry, something stirred and a pair of azure eyes opened, as well as a pure white grin as it saw a chance to get out. Just one more push...

As quickly as it came, the pain stopped. Harry rolled over and scrambled to his feet; he was shaking as uncontrollably as Wormtail had done when his hand had been cut off; he staggered sideways into the wall of watching Death Eaters, and they pushed him away, back toward Voldemort.

"A little break," said Voldemort, the slit-like nostrils dilating with excitement, "a little pause. That hurt, didn't it Harry? You don't want me to do that again, do you?"

Harry didn't answer. He was going to die like Cedric, those pitiless red eyes were telling him so. He was going to die and there was nothing he could do about it, but he wasn't going to play along. He wasn't going to obey Voldemort he wasn't going to beg.

"I asked you whether you want me to do that again," said Voldemort softly. "Answer me! Imperio!"

And Harry felt, for the third time in his life, the sensation that his mind had been wiped of all thought. Ah, it was bliss, not to think, it was as though he were floating, dreaming.

"Just answer no, say no. Just answer no. . ."

Harry opened his mouth to obey the voice, but before he could, another voice cut through the haze.

"Why should I?"

Harry started and turned around, his eyes falling on the only other person that existed in this endless haze within his head. He was short and looked very young, although Harry somehow got the impression that the person was actually much older than Dumbledore. He had messy, blond hair and emerald green eyes that matched Harrys own perfectly and the only difference between their hair was the colour. The boy was wearing a clean white button-front shirt and a black sleeveless vest on top with a loosely worn tie. Strapped to his back was a scabbard with a green leather belt with gold-colored buckles and the dragon shaped hilt of a sword sticking out of it. His feet were covered by a pair of black boots with no socks.

"Err," said Harry, not sure what to make of the odd boy who was apparently in his head, "Who are you?"

"I'm you," said the boy with a friendly smile, "Or rather, I was you or maybe you're me...hmm."

He trailed off looking thoughtful.

"Actually, I'm not sure exactly what I am," he said, "Near as I can tell, I'm the embodiment of your powers and memories of your past self. I suppose I should introduce myself as Meliodas."

"My...past self?" Asked Harry, sounding unsure.

"Yep, the person you were before being born as Harry Potter," replied Meliodas with a grin.

"You mean like Reincarnation?"

"Exactly. Drink?"

Harry blinked as Meliodas produced a mug of ale seemingly from thin air.

"Um, no thanks," said Harry.

"Suit yourself."

Meliodas drained the mug as Harry looked around.

"Where are we?" He asked, "Last thing I remember I was fighting Voldemort in the Graveyard…"

"You still are," said Meliodas as his mug vanished, "You're within our Soul. You were pulled here when Voldemort placed you under the Imperius Curse. I wouldn't worry though, time passes at the speed of thought here, so you could spend days here with it only being seconds outside."

"Why am I even here?" Asked Harry, "I mean, I didn't come here when Moody put me under the Curse in lesson."

"I think its because you need help," responded Meliodas, "Your enemy is before you, having used your blood to return and your gonna need all the help you can get."

"And your willing to help?"

"Of course, I am you after all. However…"

Meliodas became serious.

"If I help you, you will no longer be Harry Potter. You will be both Harry Potter and Meliodas the Dragon Sin, with the best and worst of both. You will have power beyond measure and it will be up to you to control it and prevent it from destroying everything around you. Can you take that responsibility?"

Harry was silent for a moment, before nodding.

"I can," he said, "Hell, I did it before, right?"

Meliodas chuckled.

"I guess your right. Very well, lets begin."

He held out his hand and Harry grasped the proffered limb. As soon as the two halves touched, they began to glow and sink into one another.

"Oh, and one more thing," said Meliodas, his voice echoing as he faded, "The other Sins are likely somewhere in the world. If I were you, I'd find them."

Harry nodded, before the light became blinding and the joining completed.

In the outside world, Harrys body suddenly released a burst of power that knocked the Death Eaters and Voldemort on their behinds and destroyed the Cauldron and Riddles headstone. For a moment, Harry was surrounded by an aura of power that dwarfed both Dumbledores and Riddles as his hair lightened slightly, before the power was suddenly ruthlessly suppressed and Harry opened his eyes. However, it was abundantly clear that something had changed in the Boy Who Lived. Before, his eyes and stance had been full of fear and panic, but now they spoke only of confidence and no small amount of amusement.

"Whats going on?" Thought Voldemort, his eyes narrowing.

This wasn't the Potter he saw just a few seconds ago. Not only had his stance changed, but so had his aura. As a skilled Legilimens, Voldemort could pick up on the emotions of the people around him, so long as they didn't have strong Occlumency barriers. Before Potter had been radiating nothing but fear with no barriers to speak of. Now however, it felt like his mind was surrounded by walls of solid steel, behind which Voldemort could feel a rolling ocean of pure, unfettered rage.

However, he couldn't afford to look weak before his followers and his own confidence in his powers made him tighten his spine against the fear he felt when he saw the rage within Harry. He was Lord Voldemort after all, an Immortal. No one could defeat him, especially not a half blood brat.

"You won't?" said Voldemort quietly, and the Death Eaters were not laughing now. "You won't say no? Harry, obedience is a virtue I need to teach you before you die. . . . Perhaps another little dose of pain?"

Voldemort raised his wand and fired another Cruciatus curse at Harry. The young Wizard smirked slightly, before vanishing right before the spell hit him, reappearing in front of a shocked Voldemort.

"If thats all you got, there's no way you'll hit me," said Harry, before burying his fist in Voldemort's stomach.

The Dark Lord let out a gasp as all the air in his body was blasted out of him in one go, before he went flying from the force of the blow, slamming into a nearby dead tree that cracked in half from the force of the impact. He slowly looked up as Potter took a fighting stance.

Voldemort gritted his teeth as he pushed himself to his feet. He couldn't believe it. Where in the world did all this power come from?!

"You...DARE TO MOCK ME!?" He roared, "YOU FILTHY HALF BLOOD! I'LL SEND YOU TO JOIN YOUR PATHETIC PARENTS POTTER, AVADA KEDAVRA!"

He jabbed his wand and, rather than the bolt of light that normally came from the spell, the Dark Lords fury transformed the deadly spell into a huge beam of emerald light. Harry smirked as the light approached him and raised his arm, palm facing the oncoming death.

"That won't work on me anymore," said Harry, right before the Death Curse simply vanished.

Utter shocked silence filled the Graveyard as the gathered Dark Wizards gaped at the seemingly impossible feat. The first to snap out of their shock was, surprisingly, Pettigrew, who raised his wand to point at Harrys back, intending to put him down before he could hurt his Master. However, before he could cast the spell, a hand grabbed his wrist, crushing the bones with a loud crack and forcing him to drop his wand. He let out a squeak and looked up at his attacker, only for his face to pale and his bowels to vacate as he saw the boy he'd killed stood next to him, blood covering the left side of his face from the gash on his chin and neck.

"That hurt asshole," growled Cedric.

Peter whimpered in fear, before Cedrics fist slammed into his stomach, cracking his ribs and knocking him out. The reanimated Champion absently dropped Peter as he looked around, finding the rest of the Death Eaters seemingly torn between the two impossible sights before them. Then, his eyes locked onto Harry, particularly the dragon symbol on his left arm, made visible by the gash in his sleeve from the Acromantula attack.

The two Hogwarts students stared at one another for a moment, before…

"Captain!"

"Ban!"

What happened next could best be described as an extremely high speed game of patty cake, before Cedric suddenly punched Harry, sending him flying through the circle of Death Eaters, smashing through a number of graves and coming to rest in a morsalem. He flipped to his feet and leaped at the widely grinning Cedric, hitting him with an even more powerful punch that cratered the ground beneath them, shaking the earth and knocking the Death Eaters on their asses.

"Hehehe, oh man, I thought you might have gone soft," said Cedric as he pulled himself out of the tree he'd slammed into and approached the Boy-Who-Lived, who was brushing dust of his shoulder.

"Heh, you still got it," responded Harry.

The two clasped hands and dropped to the ground, completely ignoring the groaning Death Eaters around them.

"Ready?"

"Go!"

The ground cracked and splintered, forcing the Death Eaters to scramble away from the rapidly widening casems that were making a mess of the formally ordered Graveyard.

"T-their monsters!" Screamed a Death Eater, before vanishing with a pop.

This triggered a mass exodus as the now terrified Dark Wizards decided they'd rather risk Voldemorts wrath than be killed by these two monsters.

"4974937 times," said Cedric, "And if I remember correctly, and I do, I've beaten you 2487467 times."

"You must have lost your mind," said Harry, "I've won 2487467 times!"

By this point, the ground beneath them crumbled completely and dropped them into an abyss.

Back at Hogwarts, Hermione let out a sigh as she swept her gaze over the Maze for what felt like the hundredth time. Who's bright idea was it to have tasks where it was impossible to actually see what was going on? She glanced at Neville next to her, who was leaning back in his seat with a huge, green pillow behind his head, fast asleep and couldn't help but wonder why she hadn't thought to bring one.

She sighed again as she rubbed her neck where it had been aching since that morning after a particularly vivid dream she couldn't remember much about other than a lot of noise, magic and, oddly enough, booze. Oh, and she was pretty sure she'd seen a talking pig at one point, but she wasn't entirely sure.

A shuffling sound drew Hermiones attention to her other side where Ginny was sat, looking nervus.

"I hope the Captains alright," she muttered, not taking her eyes off the maze.

Hermione patted her friend on the shoulder.

"Don't worry, Harry won't let himself get beaten by shrubbery," said Hermione, before frowning as she realized that Ginny had called Harry Captain and she had known who she meant.

However, before she could think on the odd event any more, she felt a massive spike of ambient magic and two people appeared at the entrance of the maze with a thump. While the two young men were clearly recognizable as Harry and Cedric, Hermione could tell that something had changed. Both boys were stood in ways that screamed confidence that bordered on arrogance and Cedric was now sporting a nasty looking scar on the side of his face and was covered in blood.

Hermione hurried down towards her friend, followed closely by Ginny and Neville, who had woken up when the two Champions had appeared, reaching them as Cedric waved off a worried looking Poppy and his father. As she got closer, Hermione found her eyes drawn to Harrys left arm and Cedrics hip, both of which were visible due to their tattered clothing, where small markings could be seen. However, she ignored that in favor of tackling her best friend in a Hermi-hug. Surprisingly, Harry was able to remain steady, despite having no warning and hugged her back.

"Not that I'm complaining, but what was that for?" Asked Harry as Hermione let him go.

"For coming out in one piece," replied Hermione, ignoring the death glare that was being directed at her back from Ginny.

Before anything else could be said, Bagman's voice split the air.

"LADYS AND GENTLEMEN, WE HAVE OUR WINNERS!"

Hermione caught the look on Harry's face and, without even thinking, snapped her fingers. The world around them distorted, before clearing and revealing the inside of the Shrieking Shack. Ginny and Neville looked around in surprise while Hermione stared down at her hands in shock.

"W-what the hell?" She stuttered, "H-how did I do that?"

"Why so surprised?" Asked Harry, a very un-Harry like smirk on his face, "You've done feats much more impressive than that in the past."

Hermione blinked and opened her mouth to ask what he meant, before her eyes fell on the mark that had drew her eyes before. Up close, she could see that it was a tattoo depicting a dragon eating its own tail. Hermiones hand jumped to her neck and the place where she somehow knew was a similar tattoo as the dream she had last night suddenly snapped into focus and she remembered.

Meanwhile, Ginny and Neville were having similar experiences of old dreams suddenly snapping into clarity. For Neville, they were of spending time in a beautiful forest with his friends and beloved sister, before leaving to find friends who had been kidnapped by humans and ending up joining a group of Human Knights. Unnoticed by him, so distracted by the visions was he, he began floating a few inches above the ground as his pillow morphed into a spear.

As for Ginnys dreams, the main thing she noticed was that she was tall. Very, very tall. Like, giant tall and wielding a monstrous warhammer. She also vaguely remembered someone called Harlequin, but they quickly disappeared under the memories of spending time with her beloved Captain and their friends.

"Well now, it appears that we are nearly all here," said a voice from the corner of the room, making everyone jump and turn towards it.

Stood near the trapdoor that lead to the Whomping Willow was a girl in Ravenclaw robes. She had long, blond hair and misty blue eyes that bulged slightly which, combined with her nearly blank face, made for a pretty creepy look.

"Luna?" Asked Ginny, "What are you doing here?"

Luna stepped further into the room and tugged down the top of her robes, revealing a red goat tattoo on her chest. Harry smiled and looked around at the six young people gathered in the room.

"Well, that was easy," he said, "We only need to find Escanor and we'll all be together again."

He turned and looked out the window, a smirk on his face.

"Look out world, the Sins are back!"

And thats the end. This is really just a silly little idea I had that is unlikely to go anywhere, if only because I can't think of any way to reasonably give them a challenge with the insane amount of power the Sins have. I suppose I could have Voldie try to bring back the Demons again, but I can't help but feel that that would be just a little contrived.

Each of the Sins have a personality which is an amalgam of their new self and their old self. They also have the full power and skill of their old self, so basically you have seven teenagers with enough power to flatten Hogwarts running around. Pity the fool who taunts them.

In case its not obvious and for those who haven't seen the Anime, heres a list of whos who:

Harry: Meliodas, Dragon Sin of Wrath

Ginny: Diane, Serpent Sin of Envy

Cedric: Ban, Fox Sin of Greed

Neville: King, Grizzly Sin of Sloth

Luna: Gowther, Goat Sin of Lust

Hermione: Merlin, Boar Sin of Gluttony

And I don't have any idea as to who to use for Escanor.

Of the lot, only Luna has switched genders, although it could be argued that Gowther doesn't technically have a gender since hes a doll (Spoilers).

I chose most of the characters for similer elements of there appearance and personality, so for example, Diane has a mega crush on Meliodas, so I had her be reincarnated as a character who has a crush on Harry, who is the reincarnation of Meliodas. Cedric as Ban was pretty much a choice made on the fly while half asleep and is probably the only one I'm not sure about.

And with that, I'm done. Please leave me a review!
